I'm Gina Livy and welcome to the Livy Method podcast.
This is where you'll have access to all of the live streams for my 91 day weight loss program.
With a combination of daily lives, guest expert interviews and member stories, there is something new almost every day.
Miss the morning live? Want to re-listen to one of our amazing guest experts?
Well, this is the place.
This podcast is hosted on ACAST, but it's available on all podcast platforms, including the one you're listening to right now,
Spotify, Apple, and Amazon Music.
All right, let's try this again.
I'm going to wait until I go live.
I just went live for like five minutes,
only to realize I wasn't actually live.
Oh, there we are.
Okay, it worked that time.
Hi.
Oh, my goodness.
I'm off to a great morning already.
How are you?
How are you doing?
It's a long weekend here in Canada.
Happy family day.
Hopefully you were lucky enough to spend some time
with friends and family today.
wherever you were are in the world, even if you're not celebrating family. Okay, before I get into it today,
I got to tell you about our sale. Today's the last day, the last day. You might be tired of hearing about it,
especially if you already signed up, but there's always people who are like, but I didn't know,
but I didn't know. You will not be able to pick up the program for less than it is on sale for today.
$75 for our next live session for the 91 days. After tomorrow goes back to regular place and we will not be having a sale again.
So tell everyone you know, go to the website, get signed up.
I know some of you are asking, but our subscription service, we got to do things with our
app before that, we can get that up for you to purchase if you're interested that way.
However, you can sign up for the next program, take advantage of this deal, and then roll into
subscription service.
So our subscription service is not on sale.
And if you already purchased our subscription service, you already got an amazing deal on that.
So the subscription service will give you, for example, like in the summer,
get you access to our summer club, support in the summer, use of the app, all the information,
additional content. It rolls you into all the programs. You don't have to keep signing up,
access to our maintenance program when you're ready and whatnot. So speaking of maintenance,
if you got any questions, load them up. We're going to try to get through as many as I possibly can
today. Speaking of maintenance, this whole program is about, it's about making changes.
So obviously you can reach your weight loss goals. But more importantly,
require the tools and the skills that you need to be able to maintain and sustain your weight. Yes,
of course, there's that physical element of addressing your set point and helping her body adjust
to your new weight. But it's learning how to navigate life. Right. And I was just saying,
people in the maintenance group that kind of go through a whole, like it takes about two years for
your body to adjust to the weight that you've lost, like physically. But also I think because,
you know, every, every year there's something popping up that can be very triggering emotionally.
so if you've ever used food to cope, you're going to be challenged.
Obviously, things can happen in your life that can kind of knock you on your ass and you
go easily go back into old habits.
But it's learning to navigate sort of all these celebratory days, which we obviously want
to be enjoying and not stressing about food, where food is a big part of that.
Memorial days, obviously, food can be a big part of that, especially how we utilize food
to cope.
So we want you to be able to learn how to navigate days.
Sure, indulging might kind of.
to slow you down a little bit, but it's not going to stop you from reach your goals. And I think
it's a bigger win to learn how to navigate these moments, enjoy life along the way, right?
It's a big part. It's a big part of learning how to lose your weight in a sustainable way.
So it is Family Day Today. It is Chinese Lunar New Year tomorrow. So I got my red on.
It feels like there's been a lot going on lately. There's always something. There's always something.
Okay, so we are downsizing again this week one last time.
Dig your heels into it.
Let's go.
Ask those four sets of mindful eating questions.
Leave yourself.
You really want to understand what it feels like to leave yourself feeling slightly unsatisfied
in which you will feel hungry, right?
We want to be able to be chill about our hunger.
Hunger's not an immediate need for food.
You're eating all this good, nutrient-rich food throughout the day, only a few bites less, right?
We want to feel calm when it comes to our hunger.
It's not an immediate need for food.
Our body knows it's going to tell us, it's going to just give us a heads up.
It's all it's like, hey, you might want to start thinking about eating some food.
This is when you're normally hungry.
Right now, with eating a few bites less, a lot of that might be mental because, okay,
well, I didn't get the amount of food that I was used to getting.
What if I'm hungry?
So a lot of people still have a lot of issues hung up on hunger.
Remember this week brings up a lot of issues, you know, from food scarcity, food waste,
issues, all of that, right? So hunger, not an immediate need for food, just giving your body a heads up.
Hey, you want to start thinking about food. It knows it's going to take you time to find food,
prepare food, eat the food. And then there's the time to process and digest the food, right? And
the food that you eat can take hours to go through your system for your body to process and digest.
So chances are you're not actually a hungry, a half hour later. And if your tummy's grumbling,
that's probably just your migrating motor complex. So no one needs to worry about not eating enough
food. We're just taking the portions that you had last week and then just you're downsizing those
slightly. So leaving a few bites on your plate, eating a few bites less. Try not to go by what you're
seeing. Try to go more by what you're feeling. So this is an opportunity to really dig into
those four sets of mindful eating questions. Also maximizing. Let's not forget about that.
Maximizing every day, right? Trying to do what you can, move your body, right? Help yourself get through
the day, taking time to stress out.
trying to get better quality sleep, right?
We tend to drop the ball on some of these things.
This is where you want to make sure you got all your balls in the air.
Not any more balls than you need to handle.
It's not about doing all of the things.
It's making sure you're doing the things that you need to do, right?
So halfway through the program too,
halfway through the program,
the middle tends to drag a little bit,
but before you know it, like the last month of the program goes by so fast.
It goes by so fast.
When you look back, when you were done,
And when you were seeing it, 91 days of the program, one, you're going to be so stinking proud that you've made it,
no matter how many programs that you've done, but you will look back and be like, wow, that went by really quick.
Because life does go by so fast. So it is about those small things adding up. All right, let's get into your questions.
Let me also just take a minute and have a sip of my coffee, shall we?
I kind of wanted to get caught up on the time that I missed there.
All right. Talking about non-scale victories, I'm headed to Coquitlam.
I have family that lives in Coquitlam.
from Vancouver Island on the first ferry to visit my son and nine-month grandson for family day.
Oh, I'm excited to be able to go for a walk with less pain, get on and off the floor without fear to play with them.
Oh, that's a good vibe to start the day with.
Right?
This is so much more.
This is so much more than losing weight.
This is like, yeah, right?
Being out just feeling better.
Feeling better, being more mobile, right?
Being your best stuff and not stressing about food.
and be able to enjoy time with family. I love that. Going for a walk today last time,
I almost died, or at least I felt like it. Well, so I feel like I have a bit of a spring in my
step because it feels like this polar vortex thing is going away. It is not minus 26 outside,
which is really nice. We went out for dinner with Tony's parents last night, and it was nice
to go outside and not feel like you were going to die because it was so cold out there.
I'm sitting waiting for my Orange Theory class today at 930, then coming back to do it again with
my daughter, I knew, Martha, Martha, you are on fire. You are on fire. I love Orange Theory.
I'm kind of wearing, well, it's red. It's coming across Orange on camera. I used to belong to
Orange Theory. I loved it. So Orange Theory, we did the treadmails. I don't know if they changed
it up, the treadmails, the rowing machines and the weight circuit, you kind of switch around
quick, I think, what, 45-minute workouts or something like that.
Yeah, I used to love it.
And then I quit because that was at a time when I thought, they thought I had a brain tumor
until they told me not to exercise.
I didn't, thank God.
I did not have a, after I did all the scans in that, I did not have a brain tumor,
I had like really bad vertigo.
Now looking back, it could have been menopause, but also a chemical imbalance in my brain,
vitamin Ds, low magnesiums, low Bs, all of that stuff.
stuff, turns out it's what that was. And then it just kind of put me off exercise for a little bit.
And then it took me a while to get back at it. So I let my membership lapse. Hi, Ramona.
Nice to see I didn't think you'd be alive today. Happy family day. Right back at you. Yeah, I mean,
I love coming on and talking about this stuff. So the whole team is off today. So if you ask any
questions after the fact, you can still pop them. If I don't get to your questions,
pop them over on the question of the day page. The team will answer them over there when they get back
tomorrow. Everybody's off today, but I'm happy to be here. I'm happy to be here. I signed it for the
subscription service. Oh, someone says subscription service, if signed up, good, correct? Yes. So, yeah,
so today's are, yeah, today's are a big one-day sale. Did I mention that off the top this time?
I can't remember. Did I? Okay, yeah. And we won't be talking about it any, again, moving forward.
You can pick up the program for $75. So if you're waiting on a better sale, it's not coming.
So if you have any friends or family, honestly, there's nothing to lose, right?
Like, even just access to the guest experts, all of that's incredible.
If you're already on subscription service, you do not have to sign up again.
So your subscription service, I love that you guys are asking this, though, but no.
So the subscription service, and if you're interested in that, if you're interested in that,
we're going to send out some more information in a little bit.
You're going to automatically be able to switch over that with your app, I think.
but it includes everything.
So as many programs as you need for as long as you need,
support in between groups, use of the app, all of that stuff.
So nothing you need to do.
You're going to need to sign out.
You need to get into the next Facebook support group,
but we're going to make sure you have your codes and all of that.
So just sit tight.
Just sit tight.
Listening to you and got my tushy to the gym,
hi, Risa, how are you?
And on the elliptical, slept in and got more sleep because I'm feeling so tired these days.
I know it will definitely help and will feel so good afterwards.
Yeah, remember we're supposed to feel tired, though. It's like winter. It's hibernation mode. So you will, if you're like a kind of go-go, and I know, Reese, you are a kind of person, it's normal to kind of feel tired in the wintertime. One, make sure your vitamin D levels are, like, take your vitamin D. Right? Because at this point, we're starting to notice our vitamin D levels drop if you're not taking a supplement on that one or spending a lot of time outside, which, outside with our bare skin and able to.
to get that vitamin D.
But we're supposed to feel, it's like the days are dark.
They're starting to get lighter, which is nice.
We're supposed to feel kind of like tireder in the wintertime,
although there are all sorts of superflues and whatnot.
Tony's got a sore throat again.
We just got better from that superflu thing.
It feels like.
I struggle with downsizing in the mental part of things.
Lost 40 pounds.
Hi, Nancy, in my first two programs and still pushing through the psychology of my food issues.
Yeah.
So you think like, so done a couple programs, like even if you spent a year at it, right?
And this goes back to conversations that we've had with Dr. Beverly David where, you know, our issues with food, they're like tied into from when we were raised.
Right.
Like even like right back to a baby where, I don't know about you guys, well, I had four kids and like I want to make sure those suckers like were jam full of foods at night so they would sleep.
Right.
So this is where they'd stop feeding and I'd be okay.
wake up, come on, eat some more.
I don't want you waking up at 3 o'clock in the morning, right?
It even goes as far back as that.
Having to clear your parents' food issues, food scarcity is a very real reality, you know,
for generations that go back not too far.
And then therefore food waste issues is another one.
And so those can run really deep.
Along with, like, if you've used food to cope, you used food to console.
we're taught, right? You fall, you scrape your knee, oh, here's a treat, right? You're sad. Oh, here's a
little, here's a treat. Right. Like, that's how we've learned to console ourselves, to treat ourselves.
And then you, and food, then how it's tied into everything else, right? So, so I, you know,
first of all, I love that. You're recognizing that, you know, because obviously you can lose the weight
physically. Like, you know how to lose the weight physically. You did that. That's amazing. But the
mental part is almost more important. Like, the physical part is like, it will come. That's just like,
like that's just that's just the physical part of it. It's so easy. And then some of you may be like,
Gina, it's not easy. It's not easy for so many people because of things like inflammation, right?
Food sensitivities was, you know, gut issues, hormones obviously and not meaning that part.
But that is all, it's all addressable. And with all the science and all the studies out there,
there is no science that will ever say and has ever said it's impossible for you to lose weight.
because your body doesn't want this fat any more than you do because simply carrying excess fat
causes inflammation. If your body's carrying excess weight, there's a reason why, and this is what
you're doing here, you're trying to figure out why. And it might be, it's holding on extra weight because
of hormones, because of inflammation, because of whatever that is, right? So why is your body feeling
a need to store fat? What can you do to help your body focus on fat loss? So that's what I'm always
saying that. That's what we're doing with these tweaks, right? So physically, they kind of shake things
up, get your body's attention. And what that does, it kind of like, when we say rewire,
it kind of breaks apart the wiring, kind of like short circuits, what's going on here? And then we can
rewire it back together. And so that mental part is such a big part of it. It's such a big part of it.
And, you know, I remember the food noise, right? And then they say, oh, you can't, you can't do anything
about the food noise. You can. Absolutely. I remember the food noise when I, like I lost over
100 pounds. More than that, I remember the food noise. What should I eat? What should I not eat?
What am I doing this? Like before I go to bed, when I wake up, constantly I had breakfast,
start thinking about the next thing. It was all the time. Like I remember it, but it's,
and it's taken a really long time. I probably haven't had it for like, I lost maybe probably 30
years ago. Probably took me about five, five, ten years maybe. It wasn't really until I started
doing these programs. This is like my six year doing these programs.
programs. Yeah. So it probably about 10 years before that. So probably yeah. It took a while for it to go
away. It took a while before it to go away. Now it's filled sometimes with anxiety. It's stress.
But you absolutely can change. It's just like, you know, how long you've been doing this versus
how long you lived your life, you know? Let you guys go into Orange Siri. I love that.
I've been told I can never come off my GLP one. It's not true, Patty. It's not true. I don't know who
do that. Um, yeah. You know, the internet is sort of like, I love it because it's like quick
information and stuff and obviously you want to learn as much as you can, but also like,
is it still blanket statements? So one, when your doctor says that, or if your doctor said or
um, anyone said you, you can't come off it, they have, they would never believe that you are doing
what you're doing in this program.
They would never even remotely try to understand what you are doing, what you are learning.
Like they, it's this, you have to see, people see it as impossible.
And you'll know this.
If you lose, if you lose weight on this program, people will think that you did something.
They'll think you took a GLP1 or you will, like, for example, someone who said, oh, this, this program,
only works for people in GLP ones. This program existed long before GLP ones. I've been helping people
long before GLP ones. I mean, GLP ones are around, but before they were mainstream and everyone
know about them, people were losing 100 pounds doing the program. Always, right? And so whether you
choose to lose your weight without GLP ones or with GLP ones, the Levy method is great for you, right?
and it works for both um but no one would believe that you are doing this kind of work
like they just think when you lose weight that you are simply just eating less of whatever
just counting weighing and measuring eating less and then just you know maybe exercising more calories
and versus calories out like they will never understand how you are addressing your inflammation
they will never understand how you are addressing hormones, right?
How you are doing all these things, recognizing the importance of sleep.
They're just starting to talk about that now.
Literally, they're just starting to talk about sleep and weight loss just now.
We've been talking about this forever, right?
The psychology part of it, they will never understand what you are capable of learning
without seeing a psychologist.
A lot of people couldn't even afford to pull all the pieces of privatized health care,
for example, to get all the education pieces that you're getting in here.
And so there's a lot of blanket statements.
And so they like to be loud about certain things.
You absolutely, so why, okay, so if you take a GLP1, right, weight loss medications,
they help quiet food noise, which is great.
They also help with your appetite, so you're not as hungry.
This is why it's so important if you are taking GLP1s to still eat all your meals and snacks.
So when taking GLP1s, people who are not hungry, what do they do?
They don't eat, right?
So what's happening while somebody is taking in GLP1 and then just not eating or eating or eating less.
So what the study, and I've gone to all the conferences and I've done a fair amount of research on this part of it.
So people taking a GLP1 don't actually change their habits.
They just eat less of what they spend money.
They spend less money on groceries, but what they buy doesn't change.
people taking gLP ones are simply for the most part or it is assumed that you are just eating less
and you are not doing the work like when we do downsizing even with gLP ones you're going to be
concerned am i eating enough you're still going to have issues popping up no matter how little you leave
on your plate there is still going to be that fear of hunger even if you are not hungry you don't
have to be taken a gLP one when you do downsizing even if you're not hungry that fear of of being hungry
later, it still pops up. Food waste issues still pop up. That doesn't stop that. It just allows the food
noise to calm down a little bit so you can be more aware of that. Right. And so when we talk about
rewiring those hormones, that's what I'm talking about, right? Taking a GLP1 can help you do that when
you are doing the things to address your hormones. And that's why even with the GLP1, it's still
important that you learn to manage your stress. You learn to get better quality sleep. You move your body,
right? You deal with your issues and associations in and around food. And so the reason why people
gain weight back is situational change, right? So taking a GLP1 to be situational change. You,
you remove the GLP1 and what happens, you go back to all your old habits because you didn't work
through your issues and associate. Why do people gain weight back? Three reasons, right? One,
they don't put enough time into helping their body adjust to their new weight. So they lose their weight
and they immediately go back into old habits. You've got to give your body time physically, actual time
physically to adjust to your new weight. So to create a homeostasis around your new weight. So let's say
you reach your goal weight. You've got to create homeostasis around your goal weight. So you don't want to
go back to whatever you were doing before. You don't all of a sudden want to start
adding all these foods in. You've got to like give your body time to adjust your new weight without
challenging it. Mentally, you have to solidify your new maintenance mindset. That is something.
Let me tell you. When you spend your life trying to lose weight, now you don't, now you no longer
need to lose weight. What is your motivation to continue to do the things that you need to do, right,
that are going to help you maintain your weight and truly just live your best life, right? So not putting time
into helping your body adjust to your new weight so your new weight becomes your new set.
point. And we know out there in the outside world, it takes two years. That's just with chaotic,
counting, weighing and measuring, blah. We got a whole system for that, right? This whole system is
fast-tracking everything. Second one is situational change. Situational change is your situation changes.
Stop taking a GLP1. Your routine changes. Maybe you had a job. You switch jobs. You move, you move,
you move places, something happens in your life, something big, traumatic. And why? Because you fall back
into old habits. Right. The third one is not being mindful. And why is mindful important? Because you're
not being in tune to Wendy, how much do you. Not being in tune to your coping mechanisms. You're
not paying attention to your body anymore. And why? Because you fall back into old habits. And so that's
the thing with GLP1. Without taking a GLP1, the food noise comes when your food noise comes back. So if you've
done nothing to address that, right? And once you physically, your hunger will come back because you've
done nothing to rewire your hunger hormones. And so that's why doing a program like the living
method while taking a GLP1 is so beneficial. This is so beneficial, right? So, so yeah, like,
people will tell you have to take that for life. It's, it's kind of like, this is where,
there's just where there's a difference. So we had this great conversation with Dr. Sean
Wharton, Dr. Sean Wharton, he's like the, he's like the guy in obesity medicine.
in Canada. The fact that he comes on in their group is insane. Anyway, I don't know what his
schedule's like because he's always traveling here and there. So I don't know if he's going to be
able to make it on. But we do have a great conversation with him last time. And we talked about
how everyone's talking about obesity as a disease. Okay. And so if you equate, let's say,
to diabetes medication, right? So if you're a pre-diabetic range, you can go from pre-diabetic into
normal range. It happens all the time with the program just by making lifestyle changes.
right you can be taking uh insulin right you can be taking medications for diabetes and you still be
able to drop your a1c and and see in like incredible um results right to be able to address that some
people will never be able to get off their uh diabetes medication so there's that um but they're looking
at now obesity as a disease itself and it is a disease if you are if you are experiencing um
issues with that, like high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart disease, all of these things.
If you're obese, if your weight and your obesity, if you're the obesity-genic rage,
and you are having health issues, that is obesity as a disease.
You can absolutely live in a larger body, which BMI might suggest that you are obese and be healthy
because you have no core morbidities, meaning that you don't have any heart disease or high blood pressure
or whatever, any of those things. You are very healthy. You are just simply living in a larger body.
And so that is not obesity as a disease. So living in a larger body and being healthy is not obesity as a
disease. And so this is what I'm saying about the internet kind of does these big blanket statements.
right and so usually they're talking usually they're talking about that so yeah you for some people they
for some people if they get off their glp1 and don't make any lifestyle changes and just go right back to how
they're living before they will absolutely not just gain weight back they'll gain it back at something
like four times the rate so whether you're taking gLP ones or not it's how you're losing weight
to be able to physically and mentally be able to maintain and sustain it right so so yeah so i so i so you know i
it's so hard. Someone, someone called me a fraud the other day. I can love people sometimes.
Because apparently I just believe that I preach losing weight in a healthy way. You can lose weight
in a healthy way with a GLP1. I've had, I've had clients, for example, and my stance on GLP1's
has always been, you still have to do the work. You still have to do the work. I've helped clients,
see what people don't realize is I've had clients who would get gastric bypassed for years. There's all sorts
of different types of medical intervention.
And for 30 years, I've had clients who've had gastric bicepast.
There's no, that's how obesity as a disease was treated.
That's the only option that people had.
And so what I realized there is that you still have to do the work.
And they, and even after gastric, but people don't realize, you do get, most people gain
their weight back.
They get used to eating more and then it comes back.
And it's complicated because, you know, you're having more health issues along with that.
And so to me, I kind of look at this as the same, same, any kind of medical intervention.
So you still have to do the work, but I've never, never been against GLP-1s.
I think they're around to stay.
I mean, there's been medications come and go for a long time.
For example, people talk about how, you know, it's new.
It's not actually new.
So the use of GLP-1s, yes, in terms of weight loss, but everyone thinks that happened in
2021.
That's just when semi-glutide or SMUtide about everyone.
however you want to say it was approved. But before something is approved, they study it for years,
right? And so these drugs have been highly studied and I don't think they're going away anytime
soon. And I also don't think it's easier. I don't think it's an easier way to go about it. I think
for so many reasons, it's not easier. Hi, Elsie, how are you? The 90 days will go by other way,
Right?
This.
I think about this all the time because this is why the smaller things you're doing each day
actually make a bigger difference than any one big thing that you're doing.
If you take good care of yourself, the 90 day pass, you are just coasting along the 90 also pass.
They all pass.
It goes by anyway.
Hi, Clonette.
Happy Family Day.
I'm retired now.
Good for you.
I'm also not working and can enjoy the beautiful day with my husband.
My husband and I are meeting my sister and best friend for supper.
I love that.
I'm making my kids clean my house today.
I am struggling with the scale, not moving much, and then I did indulge over the weekend.
That's okay.
You both can happen at the same time.
So it's up two pounds today.
I know that's not really a lot.
That's like, that's just a little bloop.
I know that's not real weight game, but hard to see at the same time.
I'm going to dig into downsizing and trying to hold faith that the last part of the program will see better results.
Okay, let's talk about this.
let's talk about this.
We have all these expectations in the beginning of the program.
So first of all, if you're a returning member, like what, what happened?
Like, were you losing weight at the end?
Did your body need time to adjust your new weight?
Like, what's your story at all factors in?
How is this season of the program or season of your life different than the last one, right?
If the scale is not moving, are we stuck on what we did last time?
Like, that's where we want to look.
I did a great troubleshooting session the other day last week on Wednesday.
you might want to check out different than any one I've ever done before.
So you might want to look into that.
But if you're new to the program, right, we have all these expectations on the front end because
you are used to starve and deprive yourself diets, eat less exercise more, where you
lose it really quick in certain areas.
So it looks like there's a big payback there, right?
It looks like, oh, wow, you can see the weight loss as opposed to gradual where it's kind of
healthy, I should say, as it's all over. So you lose to that quick hit. But what you forget is after
you get that quick hit loss, it feels like a fight to go below that, that certain amount, right? You know,
you have that number. You can always get to this and then you just can't get past that. And then you've got to
eat even less, exercise even more. And it feels like a fight. You're fighting because you're
literally fighting your body. With this, it's the opposite. Like we've had people not lose any weight to
week seven of the program and still go on to lose 30, 40 pounds in the back end, the back half
of the program. And again, when they say one to two pounds per week is the average, it's not
one or two pounds every week. That's, see, this is what, again, right, this kind of blanket
statements, the average is one to two pounds a week. It's not one to two pounds every single
week. It's when you take the amount of weight you lost, divided by the time that you put into it,
it should average out to one to two pounds per week, right? Like you as somebody who loses 100 pounds,
it takes them a year to do that, right? That's where that's, that's averaging that out,
52 weeks in a year. You've lost 100 pounds. That's one to two pounds a week. That person might
have had months where they didn't see any movement on the scale. So that, that part's really important.
And so that's where you might be like 30, 40 pounds in the last like six weeks of the program,
how's that going to happen, right? That can seem like a lot. It's,
all about getting to that point where your body is able to focus on fat loss again. And so this,
we've been giving your body what it needs. You're in tune. Your metabolism is increasing.
Your bodies need to store fat is decreasing. And so this is where in a sense it should get easier as
you go. Why does it get harder? Because we tend to drop some of the balls. We tend not to be as motivated.
We, you know, let, oh, I can do this. If you've lost any weight, sometimes that, that affects your
confidence where you know you can do it. So you're not as diligent because
you've already lost the weight, right? And so as you go along in the program, in a sense,
it should get easier because you're just becoming more in tune. Your body's, your metabolism is
increasing. Also, this is a great time as you kind of roll through winter into the spring.
Your body is going to be pulling you out of winter hibernation mode. So your body in the past would
have looked to go to store weight in the winter time, right? Because it's winter. And so you would have
like, you know, plant your seeds in the summer. You would have harvested in the fall. You would have,
you know, enjoyed your bounty, would have been looking to gain weight in the wintertime to get
you through the wintertime. And then in the spring, spring, your body gives you a boost of energy.
You're going to feel more energetic, right? You're going to go off. This is where you're going
to go procreate, do all your stuff. So your body will actually go looking to drop any weight that
no longer serves a purpose. And at this point, you've been helping the body focus on fat loss all along.
So for many reasons, this is a good time to be focusing on fat loss, just seasonally.
But if you can also just think about where you're at.
So you should actually have higher hopes, higher hopes in the back end of the program than you do.
Put the faith that you had in the front part of the program.
Also, just don't rely on faith.
Show up.
Figure out what you got to do, right?
And then move that to the back of the program.
Move to the back of the program for so many reasons.
It's harder, but it actually should be easy.
year. So put that faith in the back in. If I gifted a membership, can they switch to a subscription
on their own? Yes, they'll be able to switch to a subscription on their own. Yep, yep, yep, yep. Make sure also
you have updated your apps. Make sure you've updated your apps. We're constantly rolling out updates
for the app. Some people's on, oh, see, new version available. Look at that. Just today. There must
have been a new update that has gone out today. That's the first time I've seen that actually on my phone.
It's the first time I've seen that.
Normally I have to go to the app store and just check.
So that's be frantically at the app store 16 times a day.
Is that new update?
So you can update your app.
Oh, update.
It takes me right to the app store.
And then update.
So we've been, I mean, should be pretty glitch free at this point.
We're still working on some stuff.
We're always going to be changing things, adding a bunch of things to,
which is why we had to change this over so we can add some things there.
Oh, yeah, I love that.
Click on.
go back.
I don't know what they fixed, but a few bucks.
Oh, okay, something on the breakfasting.
Okay, well, there you go.
I'm balancing about up and down five pounds,
but I'm okay with it because I'm getting into a size eight to ten.
So my guest tomorrow for Spill the Tea, Dawn,
in two programs, she's gone from a size 18 to a size 10,
and 18 to 10 without weighing herself, without weighing herself.
So I'm going to talk to her about this.
but good for you, good for you.
That bouncing up and down also make sure you're getting enough water in.
The cold weather was so dehydrating that if you just were drinking your sort of regular amounts of water,
you might need to bounce that up a little bit.
All right, let's go down to the bottom, see if you can get any of these comments here.
Lisa, GLP ones or surgery.
This is a good one.
Lisa.
GLP ones or surgery were my next steps if I failed yet again at losing weight.
a hundred and twelve pounds down later through the livy method right you said saved me but girl you did
that yourself you did that yourself i've learned so much about my body and my mind forever thankful
for getting my life back well there you go right there you go there you go that's that's it right
And listen, if you are taking a JLP one, like you, like that, like, this is like sort of like, I guess that, and thank you, Linda for your comment here.
This is why like that, everybody is welcome.
That woman who called me a fraud because, you know, how dare.
I was just actually stating some information about JLP ones because she was just so upset that I would support them.
I have removed her from the group and given her a refund just so you know.
because I would never for, it doesn't matter, weight loss is so hard.
Weight loss is so hard.
I don't want anyone in here who's going to judge someone else for taking a GLP1 for
working with their doctor.
When I assume people are adults, I assume everyone's an adult and completely capable
to take care of themselves and make their own decisions.
And I'm assuming also you're working with a health care provider, you know,
and you're being informed and you're doing your own work.
I'm not here to save anybody, right?
That's why I said, Lisa, that's not us.
Girl, you did that.
I'm not here to save anybody at the end of the day.
I'm here to share what I've learned.
And part of what I learned along the way
was a lot of information about JLP1.
So I feel really good about helping people
who are taking JLP1 reach the weight loss goals.
And I feel really confident and good
about helping people who choose not to use JLP ones
to reach their goals.
I believe 100% both parties are going to reach their goals.
Life is what makes it hard.
life is what makes weight loss hard.
So yeah, so I did give that woman a refund.
I kindly suggested that maybe the program wasn't for her.
Nobody needs that. Nobody needs that.
Nobody needs that.
Okay.
Have a beautiful family day, no matter where you are,
even if you don't have an official family day.
Hug your loved ones.
My goodness, hug your loved ones.
Thank you for being here today.
I'm happy to be here today.
remember if the team, if you ask a question, the team will circle back around tomorrow for it.
Please share with friends and family.
Please share with friends and family.
Our great promotion, $75.
It's insane.
It's actually insane for a 91-day program.
We are continuing on our mission of making the program accessible and affordable and doable and sustainable.
That's our company model around here.
It's what we live by.
So if you can please share with anyone you know who might be interested,
It's so much more than a diet, as we know.
End of day today.
And then tomorrow, we're back to regular pricing.
And so if you're waiting on better pricing, it's not coming.
It's not coming.
Okay, have a fantastic day, everyone.
Thanks for joining me today, and I'll see you tomorrow.
Great week.
Dr. Alenka is here with my favorite conversation.
We're talking hormones and weight loss.
It's going to be good.
That might sound boring, incredibly boring, but it's actually such a great conversation.
And then, of course, Don will be joining me tomorrow.
Have a great day, everyone.
Thanks for being here.
I'll see you tomorrow.
Bye.
Thank you.
