Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Gina Livy and welcome to the Livy Method podcast. This is where you'll have access to all of the live streams for my 91 day weight loss program. With a combination of daily lives, guest expert interviews, and member stories, there is something new almost every day. Miss the morning live? Want to re-listen to one of our amazing guest experts? Well, this is the place. This podcast is hosted on ACAST, but it's available on all podcast platforms, including the one you're listening to right now, Spotify, Apple, and Amazon music. Well, I kind of put some lipstick on.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Hello, it's Thursday. I literally was just on my bike trying to get my workout in, and I couldn't get out of my bike. I have like one of those Peloton things that you clip in, and I don't know, my body is feeling great. My mind is mush. Today, if you're going to ask me, this is Hoota. Huda liquid mat.
Starting point is 00:00:57 I'm not, I don't sell these. I'm not an influencer, but. sometimes people ask this is such a great color I don't know what color this is this is called baby doll it's my go-to and then I got this little off of NYX butter gloss off of um Amazon that's my combo lately I'm addicted to it so I don't know anyway how are you how are we feeling I'm loving the conversation you know what I had a conversation with the ladies meaning um Kim who is the manager as you know of the oh I got to put this this is what's weird Kim, who's the man.
Starting point is 00:01:32 Oh, that's so much better. Kim, who is the manager of, you guys know Kim. And then Odette, and we're just talking about, you know, it's quiet around here and we've kind of heard it all. And we haven't heard it all, obviously. There's always more to learn. And, you know, revisiting posts and stuff like that. Let's like keep the conversation moving forward.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Like, I want this to be a place where you're popping and be like, oh, it's the conversation today. Maybe relevant, maybe not relevant. That's okay. We're not going to lose our foundation and our base. obviously we are here to lose weight. That's the goal and do it in a healthy way. And there's so much information on that. We're going to keep that conversation going. But also, why can it be a place where we show up every day and we continue to learn more things, you know, be entertained,
Starting point is 00:02:13 help be motivated, have current conversations and no, I will never get into politics or world events, but we can talk about how maybe world events are affecting us, you know. So yeah, just giving some thoughts. So if you have any anything you would like to talk about. So we We had Cynthia Loist, who she has written the book, for your pleasure. Now, obviously, it's about, you know, sexual pleasure, but it's also about finding joy, health, wellness, pleasure in your life. And she came on previously to talk about burnout. I actually just messaged her today. I'm like, Cynthia, you got to come on in the group. So hopefully she'll get back to me. Cynthia Lois, I don't know if you know her. She's one of the hosts of the socials. And she talked about burnout. And she took a, she had this, you know, obviously very public career. being on the social. And if you're, if you're anywhere else in the world, so the social's like, kind of like Canada's version of the view. I don't, I don't know if that's a compliment or not. It's kind of less political, more fun. And, and she experienced burnout. Like, what's the difference
Starting point is 00:03:17 between stress, anxiety, and burnt out? I've been burnout before. I remember I was driving once, and it was when my kids were younger and I was like, I was doing all these things. And I remember driving in my car and I just my face was wet and I was like what is going on and I was just crying like crying I was like my body was so tired I was such hit a wall that my just I didn't even feel crying because my body was just like I think I don't know if I was burnout in sort of like my menopause I think it was more menopause and stress and grief and menopause you know a few years ago when I like my weight balloons and I just had a really hard time. I think probably more that menopause and grief probably than stress than burnout. But what I did that year to handle all the
Starting point is 00:04:09 stress and the grief and whatever was to just say no to everything. And I love saying yes to things in life because when you feel like in your gut it's the right move, I love that. But I was feeling like everything I had said yes to was just not it. And I had to really make some hardcore choices and like tell people no, I'm not doing it. And there's still some people I haven't faced yet who were like so pissed off at me. But it's weird because people care about you. And then you're like, I really, if you know me, you know I will do it. So if I'm saying no, there's probably something serious going on with me. And it was interesting because, you know, I had people call me up and yell at me and be like, I can't believe you and you're this and you're that. I'm like, oh my God, I'm not, you know I'm not like that.
Starting point is 00:04:52 So like, no one's concerned. No one was like, you okay, girl? You never say. No, you okay? Like you all, you'll show up, you're committed, you're loyal, you'll do whatever you say you're going to do. You're okay? No one. No one fucking cared. They're just pissed off that I couldn't host their events or, you know, do whatever. So burnout is really interesting. Burnout is interesting. So I think we should talk about that. I rode rage today. My tell cue that I'm not eating well. I used to think I was like a talk about louder. I am. Like, I'll talk out loud. But yeah, my, you know what it really wrote, you know, you know what changed my road rage? So I went to Bali a couple years ago. And I don't know if you've
Starting point is 00:05:40 ever been to Bali. I used to think I wanted to go live in Bali. And Bali was like this like beautiful lush, you know, paradise. Well, when you get there, it's pretty much just sitting in traffic. Like, I know disrespect to Bali. It's the people there are incredible. And I'm so lucky to be able to go. So I don't want to like, you know, but, um, we were with our driver. And people just, cut you off, whatever, everyone is going. We would, we, some place that took like 20 minutes to drive to would take like an hour and a half because single lanes and someone would just decide to stop and go into a shop and whatever. And then the rest of the traffic had to literally sit there and wait.
Starting point is 00:06:20 And I was like, do you not? Like, how do you, like, how are you so calm? He's like, people, if they cut me off, they got somewhere to go. Like I like I like I he's just like it doesn't this is how we are. It doesn't bother us like this is where I meant to be. You know, so that really kind of changed my perspective on if I see anyone like cutting me off or driving crazy in traffic or you know even distracted. Disracted driving does kind of still bother me because you know people on their phones and stuff like that. But you know, sometimes maybe somebody might be distracted because I don't know they got a crying baby in the back or they're on their way to, you know, a hospital or. or something like that I think about all the time. So I try to, here's my thing every day is like I want to make, I want, I want, I want to be safe. I want to live to an old age. And I want my kids and my family to be safe and live to an old age.
Starting point is 00:07:11 So I figure that whatever is happening for them, it's going to get me there to arrive alive or to help me live for as long as it possibly can. So that's the way. But I hear you, man, I am the biggest rager. My kid is a rager. So my kid used to come in the car. I'm like, oh, I'm just, you see how. someone does that and don't do that and don't do this. Well, now she's like a road rager herself. It's horrible.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Horrible. Good morning. Not sure why I can't get going this time. Really struggling. Nancy, you are not the only one. You are not the only one. This actually got, this actually got us to this conversation. I'm going to, I'm going to read what you have to say here in a sec, but this was sort of like, I don't want anyone to feel like if you can't follow along on the program or like you've taken time off, you, you just couldn't get into it for a couple of weeks. when you come back at it, you have to get caught up on 57,000 fucking videos. You know what I mean? Or read a whole bunch of posts just to get back at it. You really don't. I want to reiterate that. Right? Like you can just ignore all of it and just try to focus on drinking more water.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Just, you know, if you want to, movement is a game changer. You guys know on it. I don't need a hero cookie for this. Obviously, just sharing my experience. Today, I like couldn't eat. I had a crappy sleep last night and I was like, how the hell am I going to get up and work out in the morning, but my body just woke up. And it was like, let's go, kid. You know, and I'm starting to feel better. And this is where you don't have to do a workout, but just get up and maybe do a journal, do some stretching exercises. You know, if you do have a treadmill, you can get outside. Thank goodness, it's like warming up. So the streets are still packed with snow. It's impossible to walk anywhere. You know, do something for you that isn't like weight loss motivated, right? Like, yes,
Starting point is 00:08:55 so many things are getting, managing, trying to get a better sleep. Moving your body, drinking more water, trying to eat some leafy greens, journaling, everything that you do in here is just, it's all going to help work towards your weight loss goals. But sometimes that's not what the motivation is. And that could be why you're just like not motivated. And my, my motivation for exercise kind of collided and came together. I have someone in my family right now who has gotten diagnosed with cancer. And I have a friend who's doing a cancer ride. I don't. don't want to do a bike 200k bike ride. I just, I don't. And I would, but I also have a prior commitments, even though I don't want to do it. I still would do it with her. And then the weekend of
Starting point is 00:09:41 being with my kids and trying to be like physically fit and active and realizing how weak I was, because I'm going off how I was aerobic instructor and personal trainer 20 years ago, has been like, I am so fucking done with feeling weak sauce. I'm so fucking done about thinking about being in shape. I'm just so fucking done at looking my legs and not seeing any kind of muscle there. Like, you know, I make a thing and I got nothing and I used to be strong. So I'm just done with it. I can feel it in my soul. Something is clicked with me, right?
Starting point is 00:10:11 Because that's where I like, that's, that was like my why was very, very clear. And so when you're trying to lose weight or trying to show up and your why is not aligned. So I'm going to read what you have to say here, Nancy. This is my fourth program. I joined in the 2025 winter program was so determined to lose weight after losing a friend to a massive heart attack. Okay. I did amazing and lost over 60 pounds for the year. I feel so much better in eating things I've never eaten. But this session I have not followed like I did. What is wrong? I am signed it for the spring program and hope the spring weather and sun will help. Okay. First of all, you can feel the impact of grief
Starting point is 00:10:50 a year after. Like, so I don't know what time she, so that was winter 2025. This is winter 26. You joined after your friend had a heart attack. I love that was, I love that that was your motivator. So one, like, it's been a year. Like, that can be really heavy and weighing on you without you really realizing what, what is it that I'm feeling? What's going on? Right. So that's, that's, that's a big thing obviously they were a close friend it motivated you to like make all these changes and I love that maybe though out of that you didn't deal with the grief or there's still more to unpack there right so that that that that can seem that hasn't been that long hasn't been that long so when you're like what's going on like what's wrong with me what you want to say is what is going on with me and you
Starting point is 00:11:43 might not be able to sit there and think about it so what is going on with me what could be causing me to like, I don't know. And sometimes there's just a bit of a block there too. Like, there's also, okay, let me not get ahead of myself. So then there's what seasonally what's going on. So it could be as something as you're not motivated because you vitamin D levels are dropping. It could be something as simply as that. But low vitamin D levels are affecting your energy. You could have low iron. Those two in combination could just kind of make you feel like, oh my God. Plus it's been so dark. It's hard to move and get outside. because it's been cold with the polar vortex, we've had our heats jacked up, which is so dehydrating.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Dehydration keeps us tired. I don't know if you have kids, you have parents, what's going on in your job, or what's going on in the world, right? It just seems like world-wise, there's been just so much layered on top, right? And it's hard to just not be affected by that. So there's that, like what's going on in your environment, right? So physically, what's going on, right? Am I on supplements? Do I have any? Is like, how am I physically feeling? Am I feeling tired? Am I, you know, like last year, you know when you lost that weight, you're probably doing all those things. You probably felt great. So in comparison to how you felt last year, how are you feeling now? And is there something physical that could be off? Where are you at? I don't know your age, looking at your photo, Nancy, but maybe you're going into perimenopause. Maybe you're in the thick of
Starting point is 00:13:12 menopause. Like, that could be something that's going on. So there's that. And then there's, then there's like trying to do the exact same thing. You have lost 60 fucking pounds. That's fucking amazing. That's it. That's going to do a lot for your confidence. You know you can do this. Right. You may not have that same like passion and desire because you've already done so much. Or you know you can do it. Right. So there's that. And that's not a bad thing. That's not a bad thing. You could be like, hey, I feel pretty good. You might also feel like I just don't have the capacity. right now for whatever reason to be as hardcore as I was when I did that first program. And that's okay. That's okay. And then there's like trying to replicate the same experience. It's never like,
Starting point is 00:14:02 and by doing the exact same thing. So you ate two eggs in the last, the last time to lose weight for breakfast. Now you're still eating two eggs for breakfast every day. Like we, you know, maybe try switch that up. Oh, yes, have the protein, make that the focus, but load it up with veggies. You know what I mean? Like, try to like get back to like, what do I, what's, what's appealing to me right now? right so if you ate a lot of salads maybe you just don't feel like salads and like the thought of eating a salad is like right maybe you want some sweet potatoes in there right maybe you want something hot and warm like that's where you kind of your metabolism is increased your body has changed mentally you have changed physically you have changed so you the things that you did last time address the things that you've already addressed and gone through
Starting point is 00:14:49 so what is it this time or what are you not doing this time did you journal last time? or not journal last time and now you can journal this time, right? Did you just use the Facebook group and, you know, maybe now you can use the app and the AI. So there's so much, right? I think even if you go back a year, a year ago on social media, right? Like it was like, it was a different place. Like with technology, AI, social media, all of that is just keeping our minds busy. There's a lot going on with you probably. There's always something, right? So that's where I would start with that. What is wrong? I would say what is going on. What is what is going on? And then and actually like just kind of you can grab a piece of paper and you can go through okay like you know emotionally, physically,
Starting point is 00:15:34 environmentally like environment I mean sort of like, you know, like the weather but also your work, like your home situation, whatever is going on there. Obviously checking in with your doctor is a big one. Yeah. And just for different seasons. That's why I love that the program is where down into these live sessions that you can kind of regroup and compartmentalize. I said that. The other day, I couldn't fucking say that or shit. You can kind of be like, here's what happened in winter 2025. This was going on my life. Here's what happened in the fall. It's going on. Here's what happened to here. So you can kind of break it down. And this is where you can take a step back and be like, okay, what was going on then? What's going on now? That's why I love the live
Starting point is 00:16:16 sessions. So let me just talk about the subscription service for a second because so many of you are asking and on Monday, I think we're going to make it available. So anyone who's not on subscription, you can purchase the subscription. So you're not locked into a year or anything like that, but people purchased it before because it was such a good deal. I mean, it's still a good deal. Essentially, if you do the subscription, you're paying $60 for the program, obviously in total 80 because you can cancel any time after four months. So you want to keep going. You just don't, you don't cancel. You automatically get access to every new live session. You get access, example, for, In the summer, we're going to do content in the summer, support in the summer, our summer clubs,
Starting point is 00:16:55 you will automatically get free access to that. Obviously, it's not free because you're still paying your monthly, $20 monthly. You get the AI will work like it does now because before people would do the program, the app would work while they do the program, and then you couldn't use the AI afterwards or access anything. And so you'll have access to all of that. We're also going to add in the subscription service a GLP1 section, a GLP1 guide for people. who are interested in that. And also all the menopause content, which is in the app and the AI
Starting point is 00:17:26 right now. But in case you're interested in that. But that's the live sessions are like an opportunity to be like, okay, I'm doing it in real time. Let's go. Like in hoping that that's going to be a bit of a motivator. And that's why it's okay to kind of be like not really all in. Like think about another diet that you would have done before. You started it and then you just kind of kept following it. And there were times in your life where you had so much going on. And like, you know, if you signed it for Weight Watchers, whatever, for 20 years, you were doing Weight Watchers for 20 years, but it wasn't all like amazing. You had times in your life where you could follow and other times you couldn't follow and this is kind of no different, right? This is why I love that it's so, like, one, it's affordable for most
Starting point is 00:18:09 people. I say that with a grain of salt because, again, I have been broadcast in my life. And although $20 is not a lot of money, it can be a lot of money for people. So I want to be respectful when I say that. But, you know, if you just watch 20 bucks, it's like less than like, what is that? $20 divided by a month, just the guest expert content, right? Like, not just the content itself and the community and that's your buy into this amazing community and the support. It's just worth it. Even if you just don't, even if you just watch a couple guest expert segments, you know, like even if you're just using the app to track. And that's the thing too with the app. It's not about tracking perfect days. it's not about that.
Starting point is 00:18:47 It's not like you just track on the days where you get that green check and a dancing Gina. It's like it's it's it's for kind of just understanding what's going on where you're at, you know. Um, so yeah. Thank you for sharing that I was off this weekend. Instead of quitting like in the past,
Starting point is 00:19:05 I just let myself be, but kept showing up in some ways and checked into the lives and it's helping to motivate me again. That's it. That's, that's, that's that's that's that's it. I mean, the only expectation. you know, is the one we put on ourselves. And sometimes that's it. You're just like, this is where I'm at. You know, could I have been exercising this whole time and been like a ninja warrior
Starting point is 00:19:26 rock star? Yeah. But I didn't because I had some shit going on. Whatever. Like the beauty again of the living method and doing what we're doing here is it all adds up towards your health and your wellness physically, mentally. Helps through menopause, helps when it comes to longevity. it helps with any health issues that you're dealing with. So this is just a place. Yes, of course, you want to lose weight. But this is like, okay, this is where I'm at in this moment of my life. And you have to ebb and flow. So this is sort of like maintenance, maintaining your weight. So I lost over 100 something pounds 30 something years ago. God, you keep getting fucking older, which is great. I'm grateful for that. But my weight has ebbed and flowed with my life. There are times where my weight was on the lower end.
Starting point is 00:20:13 you know, I was like maybe in a fitness mode and a healthy eating mode and everything was easy and aligning. And then there were times where I was on the higher end because, you know, I was stressed and distracted even when I dated Tony. When I met Tony, we were eating all the time with us. Late nights, hardly am asleep. You know, it was great. I don't know who the fuck I was, but it was great. But, you know, lack of sleep, trying to be a mom, you know, run my own business at the same time, like all eating all this, through drinking wine, doing all of that, which was just amazing. The glory days of our relationship, it was awesome. I could stay up to three o'clock in the morning and having sexy time now. Are you kidding? Uh-uh. No way. I digress. Um, you know, all of that caused my way to go on the higher end.
Starting point is 00:21:03 I just didn't give a fuck. And Tony just, he wooed me with like chips and, um, oh, God, what are they, those little raspberries, Swedish berries. I would literally go to his place. Because I, I, I'd come in from four kids. I'd go to his place and it's a nice condo and it was clean, you know, and he would have nice wine and he'd like order good food and he'd have like these Swedish berries and like, oh, God. Anyway, I was happy. My weight was on the higher end. And then it goes to a point where I don't feel really good. And I remember he had, I didn't own a scale for so many years. I just go by how I feel. And he had a scale and I got on it one day and I was like, whoa, this is like, I'm, I got feeling it once I connected.
Starting point is 00:21:43 and it wasn't about the number, but I was just like, well, I'm like, okay, I'm like, I can't keep going on this like party train. And so then I was like, okay, let me get back at it. And so that's it. And that's how it is in life. But the thing you're doing here, understanding yourself, right, acquiring the tools and the skills, sounds so weird when I say that, I need a better phrase for that. But, you know, working through what you need to work through, learning what you need to learn,
Starting point is 00:22:09 being in tune so that you, you're like, okay, yeah. Yeah, I'm like, this is like, okay, party's over, girlfriend. Let's like, let's take it back to the middle ground, you know? And this is most of my life I stayed until then the middle ground. And then, you know, other things happened. You go into the higher, higher, higher, higher, higher. And then I was like really high last couple of years. And then I'm back in the middle of ground again.
Starting point is 00:22:31 I have really no desire at this point to go down to my lower low. I, no, I don't even, don't give a shit. I just want to like feel really good and healthy and strong. That's where I'm at. So to me, I don't even care about a number. So yeah, right? So this is sort of, that's how it is. That's how it is.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Can't stay long performance review time, right? So maybe this is you're an accountant. Tony does our taxes, so I don't know. Maybe it's accounting time. I think so because T4s are like people are setting out T4s, I think. Maybe you're an accountant or you're like a teacher. You've got something going on in your career. That's really busy, a busy time a year for you.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I can't see life forward. Oh, yeah. That's good. You don't want a future trip. I don't know what the rest of that is. Is that a, did you add that? Oh, here you go. Put grief. Put grief take forever. I am stuck in a standstill. I miss my soulmate. Feel like I can't see life forward and it's been eight years. It takes a lot of time. Yeah. And then as you get older, the grief is just like it keeps coming and it just brings up the same old painful I'm sure you can go back to that moment. And depending on what happened, it's very triggering. Right now, I'm just thinking about the experience in the hospital because I was there in the end. And so many things happened that were so upsetting. And so many things happened that were so beautiful. Like to be there with someone in final moments was this really beautiful gift. And yet I can feel that sadness. And at the same time, literally bringing up this anger that I have.
Starting point is 00:24:14 about things that happened or the way things went or the things that I didn't say or the things that I didn't do, right? And I'm running on three years. And I can bring it back to being just as raw like it just happened. Right. And I think this is sort of like we are here to feel. We are we are here to feel. That's, you know, I think we, you know, we go up there and we're like, oh, okay, I didn't do what I want to do. Like, let me try that again. That's fun. Let's feel our feels and do our feels. And we come back down and then we go back up there. I'm like, fuck. You know, I don't know. That's sort of my version of like what we're doing here. And I think, well, we're all headed to the same place. And you'd think that you would use that as the motivation. But sometimes I think it's because we
Starting point is 00:25:01 don't have an outlet enough of an outlet for grief. We don't. We just pretend like everything is fine. so many things go unsaid and we just we feel like we got to put a time limit on our grief because I should be over it by now or you know I should use it as a motivator to do this and do that. Why am I not? And I think that if you're still holding on to that, that's for you to say, like let me spend some time like actually indulge in this feeling that I have. And you know, I, that's that whenever I'm, whenever and this is how I live life is to see that future like to feel it right like I visualize it and see it and feel it and sometimes I can't so then I'm like okay then let me not put any expectations on where I'm at I just need to show up and be in the moment right now right because and it's just like
Starting point is 00:25:55 it can feel like it's not aligned and you can't force alignment you can't you can't force alignment so then if I can't see it and I can't force it and I can't make it happen then I have that, okay, I have no control really over it. I mean, you do, but you really don't at the same time. So then I'm like, let me just be in the moments and like just really think about what I need. And I become very protective about that. And then what happens is something happens, something, a little spark, a little light, then I start to see things a little differently. And then I can see my way. I see my way. If you, if you can't see the future in the path that you are on, it is probably not the right path.
Starting point is 00:26:42 And then therefore you have to be open to being redirected, redirected. And sometimes it's just someone says something and it sparks something in you and you're like, oh, there's something to that. Oh, there's something here. Like this whole conversation about this group came. I'm going to be transparent and honest. I've been doing this for a while. I love talking about weight loss.
Starting point is 00:27:04 I just think the conversation has. evolved so much. And I'm so stuck on program-related content that I talked to the girls yesterday. And I'm like, I don't want to not do weight loss, but I just, there's got to be more. I just, I'm having a hard time seeing the path forward with this. And it's not because of GLP-1s. Like, we're going to be fine. GLP ones are, the programs are great compliments to taking GLP ones. There's people doing the program not interested in GLP ones. Programs always worked as a great weight loss program. It's not that. It's a very successful company. And we do great things for people. It's not it. I just can't see myself forward. And that's what happened with wanting to have the number one
Starting point is 00:27:41 weight loss company in the world. That was so clear to me, as clear as fucking day. And then I just had, I couldn't see it anymore. I couldn't see it anymore. And I was like, the fuck is that about. And so this is where I'm doing less. This is where I'm like, I'm not forcing anything right now. I'm going to do what makes me happy, like find joy. And I'm going to be in the moment. And And then surely, but surely, I can see my future building in front of me. But you, like, you want to be happy. You want to have joy. You want to have love.
Starting point is 00:28:15 Like, what are the things that you want in your life, even if you can't see your future? And it will unravel for you. It will unravel for you. I just want to say that, you know, where you are is perfect because this is where you're supposed to be. And I've been there. I've been there. You just, you can't visualize.
Starting point is 00:28:32 It scares me when I, I get really good of kind of visualizing the path that my kids are on and when I can't like I try to visualize them and so do this right now right like you see the pretend not pretend close your eyes and put a version of you in front of you right and when you can't see that that's that's sort of like you can't see your your path and then this is where like say like okay you want love you can see your person say yes you want joy okay you want this you want you know because you can kind of pick out the things that you want do you want a big house like do you really want a big house? No, I don't. I just want like maybe a house where I want the house to be. You know, how would I feel if I kept doing this? Oh, God, no, I'm not doing that. Right.
Starting point is 00:29:17 How would I feel if I, and put it something really crazy out there that you maybe would, like you dream up, but you know, it's so far removed. And you can, you know what I mean? So this is where you have to really be in tune with you. I realize for some of you might seem crazy right now, but this is how it's like talking to you and working through your stuff and feeling what's the right move for you. Yeah. I hear you. The standstill. Yeah. It takes time. It takes lots of time. So you can, here's what I also have to say. You can carry an immense amount of grief and experience an immense amount of joy. Both can happen at the same time. You can be grieving and enjoying the time that you have left and you can still create this life that brings you love and joy and all of that
Starting point is 00:30:09 and still carrying this grief. Like both can happen at the same time. Both can happen at the same time, you know. It's hard to navigate that. Yeah. Grief is still rebounding, not only in my heart, but in my body three years later, just showing up, healing. And it's never going to go away. It's never going to go away. And it's not meant to. I think it's not meant to, because the grief is there to show you the opposite. There's the opposite, right? You can't love without hate. You got to know what fucking hate in someone is to know that you really love somebody. Right. To experience joy, you have to really experience loss and grief. You know, like it's, it is there so you can experience the other side of that. It's just where we choose to to function from.
Starting point is 00:30:55 And you're allowed to function from grief. You want to be mad. You want to be sad. You want to be ever. You do that. But I think if you're feeling like, You right now are recognizing this is stop, the grief is stopping me from moving forward, my future. That's great. I think that's a really good place to be because you can see yourself. You can see what's up. So you're rising above it and you're seeing, oh, so my grief is, and I don't want to think get in the way or stopping, but my grief is overpowering what's coming for me or me creating the, I'm,
Starting point is 00:31:31 stuck. I'm stuck in the grief. And so it's, it's, it's like a wall to move forward. The fact that you can see that, you're getting there. The fact that you can, and this is where I think, you know, that, you know, this is where visualization, this is where harmonizing, this is where journaling, this is where a big part of that is, and it could be too, because you're on a, you're on a mission to reach a goal. You're on a mission to reach your goal. And so this is where, you can be struggling with the things that you need to work on and work through in order to reach your goal. I perceive that when I can fit my ass into the jeans I want to wear, I'm going to be happy. It's going to bring me joy. I'm going to be more active. I'm going to be more social. I'm going to be
Starting point is 00:32:16 all those things. And so if you think about this is the weight that I'm putting on my weight journey, then this is the struggle as part of that. That's where you want to see like, oh, okay, I can lose all the weight in my want. I'm still going to be grieving. So then what are the things I need to work on and work through so that when I reach this goal, I can live the life that I can feel for myself. You know, that's why grief and struggle is such a big part of that. It's such a huge part of it. I had a rough start this morning.
Starting point is 00:32:46 I woke up early, not feeling great. Today is going to be a care day. Warm bath, some meditation and just going to go with the flow. Yes. Yes. Oh my God. A Starbucks coffee is almost $20 fucking dollars. This is so much.
Starting point is 00:32:58 You know what's weird about the cost of the program? And it's that people perceive like what's the value, like is you are worth it. You are worth it. Right. You are worth it. I know. Starbucks is like, I see people. I think everyone's struggling financially until I go to Starbucks. I'm like, there's this massive line. Tony and I used to do Starbucks every day and we cut it out. We're just like, it's so much money. I'm like, babes. And I'm, I've been drinking instant decath, if you can imagine, which I'm not drinking as much of it because it tastes like shit. So which is good for me. Which is good for me. You know, and I don't even miss it. And but that was his routine every day is that he would get up, you know, feed the dog, whatever, go out and, you know, go get to Starbucks and pick up groceries and do all of that.
Starting point is 00:33:49 And, you know, it's saving us a ton of money. And it feels good. And so, yeah, and we don't miss it. And today he joined me with a workout. He joined me for a workout. Oh, Mama's grow down. I had an interesting experience when I was doing a. meditation, I heard very loud and clearly the words stop running. I realize I need to stop
Starting point is 00:34:09 distracting myself and just figure out what is going on with me. Yeah, that quietness, it can be so uncomfortable. That's why you have to be intentional about taking the time to see what's going on. Like rise above your situation. Take a minute. Instead of saying what's wrong, be like, what's going on? And then let's imagine if we sat there just with a pen and paper and what is the feeling that came to mind? Like, how do I feel about my situation? How do I feel about myself? How do I feel in my relationship?
Starting point is 00:34:42 How do I feel? Like, try to get to know yourself and where you are at, what's going on with you and then what you need. So I do this where I make a plan for myself and I try to figure out, okay, where do I want to go? Where do I see myself in five years? I don't do like a really detailed plan, even business plan. Like, what is the point?
Starting point is 00:35:02 things are changing and evolving. You have to pivot. You have to adapt. Like gone is the company that you create and everyone works at for 80 years and you pass down to your kids. Like doesn't even exist anymore. So I try to make a plan for five years and all of my five year plans probably taking me a little bit longer. But have like worked out. It's just like a this is a not this is kind of like what I would like for my life. If you can dream it, if you can feel it, you can get close to it. I'm not going to say achieve it because like I thought I wanted this and now I don't, right? You might not, you might decide that you don't even want it. You change your mind, you know.
Starting point is 00:35:39 I'm a big, uh, big fan of that. Do we have to pay for the April session if you already signed up for this subscription? No. I know, you know what I love about you all is you're all willing to pay more money than you need to. I know it seems insane, but the subscription service is just the $20 a month and you just keep paying it for as long as you need it. And then once you're done weight loss, you can go into the maintenance program.
Starting point is 00:35:59 you know, after that we're working on our sort of lifestyle content and whatever. We want the app to be able to do all sorts of cool things so you can be part of your day and your life journey and whatever. We're not there yet. We've got a weight loss program and maintenance program. But you don't have to pay extra. You don't have to pay extra. And so how the next, so you'll pay like $20.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Like if on Monday you go to, you want to sign it for subscription, you pay $20. And then you don't pay the first month of the program. you'd pay the second month of the program and then the third month of the program and then the next month right which would be our summer club or content in between so that's it there's no i know it's crazy um it's crazy so you can just do a single purchase if you want right someone wants to do it they can pay you know i think it's ninety nine dollars we had that one day sale for 75 um i think it's ninety nine dollars you can pay just one program if you just want to try it give it a go whatever or maybe you bought the sale in which you do the $75, which is still a great deal. And then after that, if you want in the summertime,
Starting point is 00:37:01 you can sign it for subscription. And then with a subscription, you can cancel it. So you're not committed to a whole year. You don't have to do that. So it's really kind of a win-win. It's kind of a win-win. And it's really insane. This is why I'm just like, I'm not doing any big marketing. Like, I'm not doing big marketing stuff. I don't want to go out there and try to sell a program to people. And then I don't want to say not be the right people. But like, it's something special that we do here and I want I'd rather have people tell friends and family than you know put out random ads somewhere and try to get as many as people as possible to sign up so yeah so we just created this ridiculously insane deal and also people can pay monthly which is so much better for so many
Starting point is 00:37:44 people anyway so that's it so no what happens if you already paid for the spring program but want to enter the subscription how do you go about that so the if you paid for the seventy five dollars of the spring program that's still a great deal And so what you can do is, because it's like really $80 for four months. But if you paid the, if you did the subscription, if you bought the $75, which is still an amazing deal, because there's no like long period of time in between. It's like a two-week turnaround. And so I would take advantage of the $75.
Starting point is 00:38:12 And then if you want to do this subscription after when the spring program is done, then you can start the spring program then. That's like the best savings. Like that's the best way to, if you had bought the single session. and then after you do the session, you go into the subscription service, that's like the best value deal, I think, that you can get. So yeah, if you have any questions, lifestyle content, I know, right, Kim? If you have any questions about you, we're going to have more information next week
Starting point is 00:38:41 and then you can reach out to customer service and they can tell. Thanks for the conversation. I really catch you live. Today was what I needed. Thanks to everyone sharing and talking about grief. It is never an easy topic. Stay well, everyone. Thanks, Diana.
Starting point is 00:38:51 You have a good day too. I'm glad you got here. Thanks everyone for joining me. Oh my goodness. I think this is the last live until next Monday. So have a great couple of days. I'll be checking in. We've got a lot more to come. Let me know the kind of stuff that you would like to talk about. You know, I want to connect people to like people who are, you know, maybe caregivers versus people going through relationship or divorce and people who shift work and people who are health care and people who are having health issues. Like, how can we help the community be a little bit more connected? Taylor conversations is something that might be, you know, even more beneficial to you outside of. the weight loss program. We know what we need to do this week. So today we are splitting up those meals and snacks for the last four days and then you're going to love next week's week. Next week's tweak. Next week's tweak. It's on sale right now as a single purchase, but it's going to go on sale on Monday, I think, as a subscription. So I'll keep you guys posted. All right, have a great day, everyone. I'll see you later. Bye.
