Miss the morning live? Want to re-listen to one of our amazing guest experts?
Well, this is the place.
This podcast is hosted on ACAST, but it's available on all podcast platforms, including the one you're listening to right now,
Spotify, Apple, and Amazon Music.
Hello, how are you?
How was your weekend?
How are you feeling?
What are you wondering about?
What are you wondering about?
How do you feel today?
Let me know.
So, week 11 of the program, two weeks left.
You're a freaking rock star for showing up this long.
Not an easy thing to do.
Because it's not just the time that we're putting in.
It's the self-reflection.
Self-reflection is not an easy thing.
really trying to figure out what you need, not just to lose your weight, but to keep moving forward
and show up every day when life doesn't make it easy or when we don't make it easy for ourselves.
That's a whole other one. So we are coming to the end of the program. We have two solid weeks left.
You absolutely want to stick around. There's really something to be said about following through
and finishing. I mean, even if you hate the program, finish it. Even if you like, I hate Tina, I hate her
program, it sucks, finish it. Finish it. Because you would have followed through and finished on
something and that, that matters. That, that matters. And even if you hate the program, there's
got to be a lot of takeaways for you. Maybe not for me, but all of our guest experts of what
you learned about yourself. It's good to know what you want. It's also really good to know what you
don't, what you don't want, right? So follow through, finish. You're going to feel amazing at the end of the
program when you do that because there's got to be a start to your weight loss journey.
And some of you started many years ago.
Maybe some of you started just with our last beginning of this program.
Who knows?
But there also has to be an end.
There has got to be an end to the program as well.
So over the next couple weeks, we're going to do a couple things.
We're going to talk maintenance for those who are ready.
And even if you're not ready, you're going to want to listen to that conversation.
And then we're also going to talk about next steps for continue to lose your weight.
We're going to talk about how to navigate over the break.
So we have posts coming up.
You have lots of conversations about that.
Hello, feel amazing.
I'm still here motivated.
That's amazing.
That's not an easy thing to do.
So I would stop there and be like, oh, okay, look at me.
Here I am.
Here I am.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Thank you for some of you saying welcome back.
It's nice to be back.
I always feel a little bit off.
This is my happy place showing up every day and having the opportunity to talk about what I love.
I was away, obviously,
the last week. So Tony and I have joined like a business. I want to run a successful business.
I want to help people, but I also want to run a successful business for the people that
work for me. I want to continue to, you know, make sure they get their paychecks. And you want
us to run a successful business at the end of the day. So Tony and I have joined sort of like a
business thing to help us kind of, you know, understand what's going on. It's interesting because
it's not about business talk. It's not about how to make more money. It's not about marketing. It's
not about that. It's about the things that we are struggling with, the 5% of things that we don't
really talk about, how hard it is to work with a spouse, for example, how to not feel like
an imposter or how to, you know, it's really about understanding the things that you are really
struggling with. It's not an easy thing to do. So you have to write out like your work,
which obviously your work. And then there's like your family, what's going
on your family because it's all part of it and then there's like your personal and you have to come up
sort of how you feel a couple like three words to describe sort of each right like business for example
I'm really excited with our new app and all the things sort of coming but I'm also like really
terrified because you know it's just you know it's a lot of pressure or you know whatever it is
and then you know I use my that was there's a couple things I use for work and then personal stuff
like I've got you know young adults I'm dealing with mental health issues and stuff and then
there's personal. I feel like I'm getting older. I feel like there's not enough time. I'm not as
healthy as I need to be. And then from there, then you go sort of, you go to sort of like,
what is triggering this thought? And then from there, you go into the why. So like, why is this
important to you? And then you ask the question again, okay, given what you just said about why
it's important to you, why is that important to you? And then you ask a why again. Really,
why is it? So it's really about going really, really, really deep and sort of getting to the
root of it all. So it's really uncomfortable. And then, you know, you talk about it and people,
you know, ask your questions about it. And it's, it's very interesting. And it really
reminded me of the kind of work that we're doing here is really being super self-reflective,
really trying to understand, you know, not just what we're doing, but why we're doing it.
and how to actually make real change in the other day.
Anyway, thanks for bearing with me when I, you know, when I, and travel and whatnot.
It's not lost on me.
I'm very privileged to be able to travel.
It always gets me thinking in a different way.
So thank you.
Thank you for that.
Okay, so let me get into some of your questions and where you're at.
I'm very pleased with my results thus far on the program.
Hi, Bobby.
It's all the new learns that keep me excited.
Yeah.
Thanks for all of it.
I mean, thank yourself, right?
This is really all about you.
And there's no right or wrong answer.
If you're just joining us live, I was asking people like, what, what's, what are you thinking today?
What, like, what, what, like, where are you at?
What's going on?
What are you thinking?
How are you feeling?
Do you got questions?
You got comments.
You got concerns.
There's no right or wrong way to answer that.
And you don't have to put it out in the comments.
Just maybe something to think about today, not to start, you know, today off on a heavy day.
It could be like you feel like a freaking rock star.
I love that, right?
Hi, Joanna.
I'm still trying to get back on track from last weekend at the cottage.
Scale is moving down and just trying to focus on getting water in.
I'm usually very good at getting the water in, but it's not very appealing lately,
still here and working at it, feeling calmer about the holidays coming
and not going off the deep end during the break before the next program.
Honestly, still a hint of worry when I think about it, but not as worried as I used to be.
You know, what is the living method?
It's just another diet and a sea of diets.
It is.
This is another way to approach weight laws, another way.
to help your body focus on fat loss? Yes. Now, do we try to make it healthy, you know, for your
body? Yes. We want you to lose weight in a healthy way. Mentally, yes. But, you know, let's just
take about the logistics of how we do it at the end of the day. It's just another diet, right?
Now, obviously, it's more than just a diet. But let's say for Schenka, it's just a diet.
It's not the food part, eh? It's not the eat less exercise more part. That's not it. That's not it
at all. I would probably be put less onus on the actual food part of it. It's exactly this,
right? Joanna, it's like there's things in your life where you're going to find yourself indulging.
You're going to want to indulge and enjoy life. That's like part of it. And then there's the
ebb and the flow of how our body responds to that. Drinking alcohol, late nights,
indulging in foods. It causes our body to feel, you know, inflamed and bloated and off and all of
that, which can have our weight up at the end of the day. And then there's life that we have to, you know,
get back to our routine and deal with the things that we're dealing in the stress.
That's, you know, all of that.
And then getting back to it.
So first of all, let's just normalize.
Like, that is so normal.
And the hard part about weight loss isn't the food part, right?
It's navigating these moments in our lives because life is short, so why not?
And this is where when you're encountering those moments, it's an opportunity.
Like, you know, when you go out for the night, you know, how does the you that has lost
60 pounds and made all these lifestyle change?
What choices do they make?
Maybe they don't stay all night.
Maybe they choose to leave when they want to leave rather than feeling the pressure of when other
people want them to leave so that, you know, the next day they aren't feeling as tired and
have to spend so much time trying to catch up, right?
Maybe they don't indulge in what other people are indulging out of fear of pressure or
what people will say they, you know, eat what they feel works best for them.
Maybe they don't drink, right?
Maybe you go up with your friends a night on the town and you choose not to drink.
Like, how does that version of you show up to these events?
It doesn't have to be a, you know, a trip or a weekend away.
It could be in your sort of every day, right?
So that's a big part of it.
I'm usually very good at getting the water and it's not appealing.
So just a reminder that when the scale is moving,
because sometimes, like, going off routine is exactly what your body needs to shake things up.
And then that's when the scale actually moves.
It could be the water's not appealing because you're actually heading into detox because
that's a sign, right?
Being extra hungry in the evening, feeling bloated,
waking up, water not appealing, scale being up, all signs. So your weight could actually be on the
way down, but also up at the same time because your weight is about to drop. So it could be that
the water's not appealing because you're about to see a drop on that scale. And this is all about
what it is. Like just figuring out, where am I at? That's why I asked this question, how are you
feeling today? Why? Where are you at? What do you need? What's going on? What's going through your
mind? Feeling calmer about the holidays? That is so huge. Because
what you don't realize is you're going to lose your weight and this is why you know we have our
maintenance program is that for the whole year after losing your weight you're going to be challenged
with holidays right certain days that you know cause emotions things are going to happen in your life
and it's all about kind of understanding how to how to navigate that you know honestly still a
hint of worry when I think about it but not as worried as I used to be so this is where I would say
okay so where's that worry coming from why is that worry
feeling important to you. Like, what is it that's causing you worry? Let's say the holidays. Okay. So what is the,
why are you concerned about that? Well, if I, um, for example, if I don't do whatever, I'm going to
find myself indulging and that's going to have my scale up. So why is that important? Um, because I've
been working really hard at this thing and that's going to feel like it's setting me back. I'm not going
to feel good. That's going to affect how I feel throughout the holidays. And why is that?
important? Well, because I really want this. I've done this before and I'm going to feel like I've failed
and that there's just no hope for me and I'm never going to be able to reach my goal. Right. See that?
That's kind of really getting deep. And that's how you really get into that worry. And that gives you
something that you can capture, cancel correct with a la Dr. Beverly and be like, okay, well,
that's not true. It's normal. Right? These holidays come and go. We want to indulge. Is there
way you can maybe tweak how you're indulging yes okay um you know maybe you've done other diets before but
have you done this kind of work on those diets no you're a totally different person right look what
you've already accomplished there's no reason why you can't reach their goal you know so going deep
i feel like i've been fighting something for more than a week extremely low energy headaches
irritated eyes i'm unmotivated right now but i'm here and i know i'll feel good again
yeah man when we you know when you don't feel well and you think i'm never i just can i just please feel
well again and when I feel well again, I promise I'm going to this, this, and this and this.
It's always a good reality check where we're not feeling so hot at the end of the day.
So remember we do, I think I mentioned it this morning on that.
We have a sickness protocol.
You might not have needed it up but to this point.
So a lot of times people are like, okay, I'm going to do all the things, even though I feel like shit.
But you really want to honor, like sickness is like its own attention getting like tweak for the body.
So you really just want to stay hydrated, keep the foods nice and light.
This is a great week for that.
So this is a great week for honoring.
that so check in at breakfast this morning are you were you hungry at all no okay right but maybe work on
getting those fluids in early so checking in at each meal and snack time and assessing your situation
this morning i woke up and crave lemon water that's a good thing right you just feel like that
let's let me cleanse my palate let me wake up my digestive system let me go and it's also craving
the routine which is really cool that's probably the one thing that i think when people think about
the holidays is the lack of routine. Just thinking about the holidays can feel chaotic,
stressful. And this is where you really want to dig into your routine. So you're still very
much following a routine, even with personalizing the plan this week. Good morning. It just feels
so good in letting you all know and to put it out there two days. Yes, by the end of the day,
Wednesday, November 26, I will be retired. Claude, congratulations. That's amazing. That's amazing. So
looking forward to it. Congratulations. That's, that's, that's amazing. What are you going to do?
How are you going to celebrate that? That's pretty exciting. That's pretty exciting. How's that going to
change your life? What is the retired you? What kind of life are you living? Right? What kind of life are
you living? Way more than a diet, more like a lifestyle, educated. And this is it. Right? We all buy in because
of weight loss. And I, I hope you're realizing it's so much, it's really so much more than that.
It's a place where you can consistently show up, feel supported, connect with other people,
and a place where you can be mindful about the things that you want to work on.
That's the thing is like losing your weight in this way, keeping your energy directed at yourself,
really be in tune with what your need, going deep, leveling up, all those things.
It's really like a, it's like a, it's like a, I was going to say a lesson, but a practice
and say, in self-love.
And really, you know, when we talk about prioritizing yourself, it's not even, it's more than,
you're not another checklist.
It's really understanding the kind of life that you want to live and the things that you need to do to help create that life, to design the life that you want to live.
You know, it's so much more than that.
I'm feeling like I'm so far off this program this round.
Hi, Alan.
Looking forward to my chat Thursday with Dr. Ruth since starting GLP1 is about seven months ago.
Okay.
Let's break this down.
I'm feeling like I'm so far off program this round.
Okay.
Why? Why? Like, why? What's going on? Is it that you are off or is just life, you got a lot going on in life? Is it the season? Do you always feel off this season? Right? This is sort of where you want to kind of like, this is where you have, you're so into it. So asking those four mindful eating questions is so much more than portions. It's, it's keeping your energy directed at yourself and asking yourself how you feel. That's what it's about. This way you can't do it in your head. You have to get into your belly. That's your intuition. That's your gut instinct.
And this is where it's about, you do that with everything.
How do I feel if I did this or did that?
How do I feel if I made this decision or that decision?
And this isn't just food.
That's the cool thing about this is it's not just food.
How would I feel about quitting my job?
How would I feel about taking this new job?
How would I feel about dating this person?
How would I feel about doing this?
How would I feel about, you know, doing this over that?
Like I, you know, this is something I trust my gut instinct I'll go with all the time.
And sometimes you following your gut instinct isn't really, isn't the easiest thing for other people to do, right?
So I'm feeling so far off the program this round. And so you're here today. That's incredible. Why? So get out of your head about it. Get into your body about it. What is it? Why do you feel off? What's going on? Is it your life? Is it like something that you're dealing with internally? Is it other people making your life difficult for you? Like is it the season of your life? Did you always feel like this at this time of year?
Um, since starting GLP ones about seven months ago, my head tells me I can cheat all the time with the program. I signed up for the subscription membership. But I love that. So, okay, so let's talk about GLP ones then or weight loss medications because they're, they're here to stay and there's more coming down the pipeline and they're now going to be going from shots to pills. There's a lot of exciting stuff. But what do they do for you? So it's, it's, it's, for some people can calm the noise where they're not always thinking about what the next meal are snack in. It also has. It also has, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's
helps with your GLP1, which is sort of the hormone that makes you be like, okay, we've had it
now for satisfied. So you feel more satisfied on less. That doesn't mean that your body doesn't
need to eat, though. So if anything, it's, it's kind of disconnecting you. It's great that it gives
you a break in your mind, but then is that stopping you from rewiring your brain the way you
want to rewire the brain and learning the things that you need to learn, right? Sometimes taking
a GLP1, you have to work extra hard on the mental part. And then the physical part, just because
it's helping you with your appetite doesn't mean that you don't still need to eat good nutrient
rich food. So we know, for example, that people will spend less money on groceries when they're
taking GLP1s, but the quality of groceries will not change. So they are just eating less of the same
thing. And not to say that, that's always been a method for weight loss, right? People eat less.
They lose weight. But the problem isn't the losing weight part. It's the maintaining and
sustaining the weight at the end. It's the tools and the skills that you need to be able to do
that. So it's not necessarily easier for someone taking GLP-1s versus someone losing weight without
taking GLP-1s. That's somewhere along the line, they will have to do the work. What we know is that
people who do more rounds of the living method have an easier time in maintenance because they've
spent more time working towards their issues and associations and all of that. So then it's about the
cheating, right? So this is where my head tells me I can cheat all the time with the program. And so
that's where like who are you cheating on so i'm not about cheat days right like just really against
cheat days it's more about your choosing the same thing with um with the verbiage i know i talked
for this morning and check in with skipping the meals and snack so can we skip this skip that
it's not that you're skipping it you are just choosing not to have it because you're not actually
hungry for it the same thing with cheating you're not really cheating you are choosing to make a choice
the problem with making the choice is then if you are, you know,
better than berating yourself and there's a whole aftermath.
So if you are happy with how you are showing up and you enjoy having some indulgences here
or there and you're okay with what's going on the scale, there's nothing wrong with that.
There's nothing wrong with that.
It's not a race to see who loses their weight the quickest at the end of the day, right?
So, you know, it's all about your journey.
It's all about your journey.
Now, the problem is, is if you are being really hardcore about the, you know, wanting to see that scale move and then your choices aren't really aligning that. So what I would suggest is maybe your Y. Maybe your Y isn't motivated, isn't really as motivating as it was before. Right? Like what really is it? Is it the GLP ones? Because they don't, it doesn't really mean that you can do anything different than anybody else. So, so really what is it, right? That's that, that's going to that kind of next, next, next level.
but you're here so that's great and then what is your what is your version of really far off right
and this is for everybody right who says where you are is right or wrong or on or off or whatever it is
you are exactly where you need to be you're exactly where you need to be so like that's step one
and then if you if there are results that you want to see that you are not seeing that you can see
are directly tied into what you were doing or not doing that's right it's a great idea to take that
self-assessment and be like, what do what I really need to do here? If I'm still snacking at night,
right? Like, that's a big one. You've got to give your, you've got to give your body time without
that food. And the biggest reason while snacking at night is detrimental is one, the time that
your body needs without food. And then, two, the how it messes with your sleep, right? So are there
some key things that you know you're doing that are beyond just that cheat mentality, right?
Like eating at night. Okay, that's not working for me. Am I drinking enough water? Like,
you know, as long as you're going through the things that you need to be doing that are going
to help you get there, you know?
I am shocked, I think we're in the last two weeks of the program.
I'm down 13 pounds and plan to push myself right to the end.
And it's an awesome program.
I've learned so much about myself and the food plan.
Yeah.
You know, we are going to go right to the end.
Make sure you ask as many questions as you need, especially if you're listening now and
you've never asked a question because there's so many people who haven't asked a question.
Don't be afraid to reach out.
We're here for you.
We want to make sure you're feeling super confident in next steps.
So this week we have like what to do if you're looking to,
to continue to lose your weight and then next week we're going to talk maintenance but we go right
to the very last day right to the very last day did I hear you say this is just another diet I disagree
if that's what I heard this program has helped me so much deeper and emotionally yeah I think so too
it's more but it's it's more than just a diet right but if you want to categorize it a diet is a
diet at the end of the day like you can do that you can be like okay it's just a diet
but what makes it different is the work that you need to do right what makes it different is where
you need to go what makes a difference is all the support and the conversations that we have
that have nothing to do with the food that that's the part that's different about any diet that's
out there if you try to break it down and measure it to an other diet okay it's eating less it's eating
it is so much more it is so much more right dental surgery protocol no nuts no seeds for a month
Oh, Tina.
So we got yogurt you can have.
This is a great time because there's alternatives that you can use for your,
you don't have to have nuts and seeds anymore.
So it's a great, it's a great time for that.
Great time for that laughing.
Someone's talking with a laughing cow cheese.
Anyone know where I can find Gina's Amazon list?
I don't even know where to find my Amazon list.
I just go through my app and my storefront.
I think you can maybe go in Amazon and just search up Gina Livy and my
storefront will pop up. If anyone else can help with that. Hello, everyone. I've been working
with the BB Andrew Blakey exercise program. It's fantastic. Gina, thank you for having
Andrew as a resource. Oh, I love that. I love that. I love Andrew. He's so great. All of our guest
experts are so great. I found, but I won't say that they work, they, they, they, um, we don't
pay them. Not saying that anymore.
Oh my God. Sorry. I'm laughing. Also, I was not drinking sangria at 9 o'clock in the morning. Where I was, was 3 o'clock in the afternoon. And it was the jokes. It's jokes. You guys would not want me to show up and be boring as fuck around here. You wouldn't want that. Also, this is why the lives are not mandatory. This is why you do not, the lives are not mandatory. If you don't like that, I swear, if you don't like, you know, how entertaining I can be.
Anyway, I digress.
This round has certainly surprised me.
Ooh, I love this one.
I thought because it was round two,
and I know the program,
it would be easier than round one.
Nope, this round has been rough for me.
Okay, I'm going to read this.
But yeah, so if this is your first program,
the first program tends to be more physical experience
trying to get into the routine and the rhythm.
And that's why so many people are like,
why do I have to come back and do it again?
So just like any other diet,
you want to start it and keep following.
it. The program stays the same. You have changed. You have changed. So each time you run your body through
the program. So let's say you start the first program, your metabolism is functioning on, you know, a low level
and you're, you know, sort of where you're at. You go through the program and you're leveling up, right?
You're in metabolism, your health and wellness, where you're at mentally, you're making change.
So the same program. Two weeks working on downsizing, two weeks feeding the metabolism, two weeks doing
whatever is nothing. Three months working towards anything is it's amazing what you can
accomplish, but it's not a lot at the end of the day, right? So first time tends to be real
physical experience. The second time is a mental experience because you know what you need to do.
You've done it before, right? And you have an idea of how it works. And so that is why it's a much
more mental experience. Third time around, I find it's a bit of both. And then from there,
it's so individual based on where people are at, what's going on, what they've already worked
through what they still need to work on, how deep their issues go, what's happening in life?
Like, all of that, right? Okay. This round has been rough for me. I've had two bouts of the flu that
took me down each time and longer recovery time. Well, that's the fall, right? Cold and flu season.
There's been a ton of life happening that took me off course. But here's the thing for me.
I keep coming back and doing the best that I can. At this point, I'm only down six pounds.
I love this so far. Also, take six pounds of butter next time you're at the grocery store
and pile them in your cart. Don't buy them all at once because butter is expensive A.F.
pile six pounds of butter in your cart and you'll be like, wow, that's actually quite a bit
that I've accomplished here. That pisses me off. You're allowed to be pissed off, but it could be
that I'd be up six pounds instead and so I'm grateful for that. You know, it's because when
you're on a journey like if you like let's take all the people who've done weight watchers for how many
years and so many people were successful they've lost their weight gained it back lost their weight
got in the back but i don't know that they were so hard on themselves because it was one big
continuous thing right so there would be times in their lives where they would gain weight back
where life would be hard where this whatever and then they would keep just following weight
watchers and their diehard weight watch weight watcher people right like that's because that's
the ebb and flow of your life now does it you know is does weight watchers is it a bit problematic
I guess, right? Their model of eat less, exercise, more count pounds. Doesn't really, you know,
counting points doesn't really teach you much about anything. Because we all know, people would
not eat all day and save their points for later and all of that. But still, let's take that
mindset of like, I don't think people were as critical of themselves when they looked at
their journey as one big continuation as opposed to how critical they can be when they're
following these 91 day chunks of time. And listen, because we're all about working through
our shit. Sometimes when we're critical, we want that to, you know, bubble up to the surface so
that we can deal with it. But yeah, if you have a season of your life or a season of the program,
that's why we're running them live sessions, right? That is just particularly more difficult
than other times. Not gaining weight is huge. Maintaining your weight, huge. And sometimes that's
what it is and then also look what you're learning look what you're learning you're learning how to
maintain and sustain your weight while you're going through all the things that you're going through
like that that's why it's so much more than just a diet it's not always about losing weight and
this is why sometimes you need to shift your why and be like okay life is making things incredibly
difficult maybe it's not the time right now for me to be putting pressure on myself to be able to
see a certain number on the scale maybe just maintaining my weight is enough however
all the things that you are doing while following are still factoring in to you being able to
reach your goals at the end of the day you know so i love that you recognize that um at this point
i'm only down six pounds that pisses me off and you're allowed to be pissed off um but it could
be that i'd be up six pounds instead so i'm grateful for that round one i lost 13 and figured for sure
i'd lose that and more life certainly makes you stop in your track sometimes last year i
started this process smack dab in huge grief
Yeah. The grief is still there. It will be there for a really long time. And I just need to keep following, showing up, even on the bad days. I'm in this for the long run and learning lots about me. I think this just sums up, sums it up. Like that grief gets you, right? Like the first year, you're like, okay, survival mode. And then it's almost like the second year of grief is harder. And then each year is hard. It never goes away. And it's like, you know, now it's like three years. So for you guys all know, the kids.
my the father of my kids uh passed away so we're going we're going to go three years um three years
first year was just getting through and surviving right and then the the second year was almost sad
because like now we're going through another Christmas another holiday or whatever and and life
goes on and now we're coming in the third year and like like it's coming up again it's coming up
again i think it's got the holidays it's interesting with the children so with my children
It's like, and I know I shared this on a previous slide, but they don't speak to each other
in the sense that they're all doing their own things. And I will get a phone call from all of them
on the exact same day and they're sad. They're like, I'm talking to them. I can tell there's
something going on. Like, how are you feeling? And they're like, I'm sad. And they don't even,
they're not speaking to each other. So there's just something about it's, they feel it in their
bodies. It's all in the same day. But the third year is like you feel guilty because you're
spending less and less time thinking about them. So I'm finding that is like popping up. And then
it's just like sad that because like life is really going on. And then you can't believe how long it's
been. Like there's so much. And the thing is that you encounter other types of grief in your life.
So we have to finally put our dog down. You guys know I've been having issues with my dog.
And she, we were told to put her down six months ago. So we've had six months of like just,
you know, extra time with her. And she has this big growth on her face. And it's getting bigger.
and it's affecting the quality of our life. But I can just tell it's going to be so incredibly sad.
One, because she's our dog and she's 14 years with us. But it's also, we have to all go through
that grief process again, which is still so raw for the kids. And so it keeps coming. My point is
it keeps coming. There's, and then there's, there's grief when you, when you even hear about
someone passing away or there's so much and it's constant. It's constant. So if you take this
time and what you've been going through, what you're learning is how to be resilient and still
prioritize, take care of yourself, understand what you need, recognize how your mind is being
affected, recognize how your body is being affected. Like these, this. And the reason why I'm
spending so much time on this and I appreciate the share is like, when we talk about the tools
and the skills that you need, when we talk about the tools and the skills that you need to be
able to maintain and sustain your weight. This is exactly what I'm talking about. This is what I'm
talking about. So that the next time you encounter, God forbid, this kind of grief or grief of any
kind, you're not falling back into old coping mechanisms. You're really fully present and understanding
what you need. And I guess that's how we started this conversation today was like, what do you need?
What's in your mind today? What's the good, the bad, the ugly of what's going on in your mind and where
you at. Let's talk about, um, hi, Susan, before I get there. My doctor has mentioned
GLP1 for me as there's going through changes in January with the introduction of generic choices
at reduced costs. Yeah. There is some finding that this may be beneficial in the treatment
of fibromyalgia as well. There's a lot of good things coming out about, you know, this is, I mean,
like look at all the amazing things that, you know, we've created.
that help with, I mean, God, all sorts of issues and diseases and things that people are
dealing with, right? So it's very exciting what's coming up. And I guess that's sort of where
the living method aligns is it doesn't teach you to work through your issues and associations,
doesn't work to help you work through your habits, you know, doesn't help you with your beliefs,
doesn't help you with your routines, it doesn't provide a system. So, you know, you should
never need an excuse and this is why you know you shouldn't feel ways if you feel like you need
some medical intervention and this is why i'm not i mean i you know you guys all know i've i've helped
people have had gastric bypass and you know i'm you know that in itself was was tricky and you know
it doesn't do the work for you and that's why you shouldn't feel any kind of ways about if you're
even considering that's that's for you in a conversation with your doctor you know um what was i
talking about oh there was something i
I was going to go there for a second.
I'm not gaining.
I'm maintaining, right?
Yeah, that in itself is huge.
Huge.
I keep trying to find the walking pad, not having any luck.
Anyone got a link or a name for it?
Hi, Debbie.
So there is, so I'll get the team.
So on my last live, or not too long ago, we linked the walking pad.
So maybe we can do that here.
You know what?
I'm just going to do a post.
After this, I will do a post if I can get Kim or someone on my,
my team was listening. Let's just make a link to my Amazon account for anyone looking for that
treadmill. And I'm not trying to sell you stuff. I really believe in sharing is caring. Of course,
if I find great products, I'm going to let you know about them. Um, no pressure for anyone to ever
buy anything that I'm suggesting. I want to be very clear about that. Um, but I do really love my
walking pad. Tony is a, like he, he researches everything. We do not buy anything without doing
extensive research. And he, uh, researched this one. He got it for me. He also
got one for his mom. I quite like it. So I will do a link. Oh, yeah, there are a couple on there.
My 14-year-old dog had to be put down in May. I'm okay with it most of the time, but suddenly
a sounder memory will come up and fled with tears. Grief is so hard. I think, is this a generation thing?
Is this a, because I feel like all of our dogs are coming to an age. I don't know if it's like
a midlife age thing that no one talks about. Like, do we all get dogs, I guess, when our children are
young and now you know like many of you my kids are leaving the house and I guess my dog has
grown up for this I feel like I'm seeing this everyone experiencing this thing with their dogs
I think maybe it's just the age that we're at like another thing where you have to work through
that we don't no one's talking about no one's talking about um very difficult so what do I
want to say uh I'm going to go live tonight 9 p.m if you want to join me then it's late night live
no holds part um you want to join me come shoot the shit with me hang out talk about some fun stuff
hard stuff i don't know uh i'm also going live on my instagram account with my friend pina who's
signed up the program i don't know how she's doing y'all we're going to have a real honest conversation
where she's at um but this is where it's at right now so here's what i want to say
for the program and the personalizing the plan tweak this is an opportunity for you to get
even more in tune don't forget you're still trying to reach a goal here this is not skipping
meals. It's just recognizing that you no longer have to force yourself to eat those token amounts
if you're no longer hungry. Now, there was a rhyme and a reason for that. There was a rhyme and a
reason for everything that we do. This is going to, this is a great tweak for getting even more
in tune to reaching your goals. It's also a great tweak to use in between programs. It's an
opportunity to really figure out what you've learned and what you still need to work on.
It's also a bigger picture, just a taste of how you're going to live your life once you've reached
your goals. So don't be hesitant. 9 p.m. I know 9 p.m. is my bedtime too. It's a late,
late night live because I'm away. So I'm having a meeting. We are working on doing some
clinical research for the living method. As you know, we have had Ruth Kane and her team studying
the living method. We are going to be doing clinical trials with the living method. We're going to be
partnering with the obesity matters, people out obesity matters, which is like we're just
trying to do our part to be legit and, you know, be part of the conversation. And we are
thinking about doing some clinical trials, which will be really great. And so I have a meeting
tonight about that. So I'm unable to go live at 7, but I still want to go live tonight at 9. So
if you want to come join me, no pressure. I hope you are excited about this week. It's a,
it's going to be a great week. Today is my 63rd birthday. I've lost 60 pounds. And I'm on my
third program. Joining this community is the best thing I've ever done for.
myself. This round has been a bit more challenging for me. I've lost eight this round and celebrating
instead of dwelling that I wanted it to be more. I still have to about 10 to go, but I'm here. I've
signed up for the subscription service. This is my gift to myself. I love that. The Christmas season
scares me, but I'm practicing being intentional. Oh, I love that. I'm spending two weeks over Christmas
with my daughter-in-law and grandchildren in Ontario while my son is deployed. It'll be a lot of feels.
it'll be so many feels feeling is wonderful that's what we're here we're here to feel all the
feels we're here to enjoy all the yummy bites of bits that life has to offer we're here for all
of it and we want to feel our best during all of it right so i love this for you linda first
well congratulations happy 63rd birthday that's amazing um i love that you have obviously been so
successful in the program that's incredible you must feel like a million bucks you've already
accomplished so much. You've already already accomplished so much. Good for you. Take a few minutes
and ask yourself, what is it about Christmas that scares you and why? Take some time. Take some time
because you got this. You got this. Have a fantastic. What a great way to end the conversation today.
Thank you for joining me as always. Have a fantastic rest of your day. Perhaps I will see you
later on. If not, Tanya Jalsamino is going to join me. We're going to talk about how to dress your
ever-changing body. Talk about the thoughts and the fields that come along with that. My goodness,
it's not just getting a new wardrobe. It's not as simple as that. It's who are you now? What is
your style? What do you like? Why were you dressing? How were you dressing before? You know,
what do we do with those old clothes? What do we do? It's a lot. It's a lot to unpack. So we're
going to unpack it tomorrow. I'll see you. Have a great day, everyone. Thank you.
