The Livy Method Podcast - Livy Method Day 81 - Winter 2026
Episode Date: March 26, 2026In this episode, Gina's in Montreal for the Canadian Obesity Summit, reflecting on the gaps in traditional healthcare when it comes to sustainable weight loss and the importance of a more connected, w...hole-person approach. She highlights how The Livy Method brings together expert support, community, and a structured process that addresses both the physical and mental aspects of change, while also challenging common industry narratives around set point and long-term success. Gina reinforces that lasting results come from doing the deeper work, not quick fixes, and reminds listeners that they are more than capable of reaching their goals with the right support and understanding. This is a recording of the Day 81, 9 AM live. I'm Gina Livy and welcome to the Livy Method podcast.
This is where you'll have access to all of the live streams for my 91 day weight loss program.
With a combination of daily lives, guest expert interviews and member stories, there is something new almost every day.
Miss the morning live? Want to re-listen to one of our amazing guest experts?
Well, this is the place.
This podcast is hosted on ACAST, but it's available on all podcast platforms, including the one you're listening to right now,
Spotify, Apple, and Amazon music.
Hello.
Why is my face so big?
Oh, there we go.
That's better.
It's just me, apparently.
Hi, everyone.
I am at, I'm in Montreal.
I'm at the Canadian Obesity Summit that they do every couple of years.
And I actually just finished having breakfast.
And then we were listening to a short presentation.
and Sean Wharton is one of the presenters.
We came last night.
They talked to people with lived experience.
So basically what they're trying to do here is trying to figure out how to connect and speak with clients,
their patients who are coming to see them, kind of what's new in obesity care.
How can we keep things more connected?
How can we provide more resources?
And so one of the reasons that I like to come is to see what's going on with the conversation
is staying in the loop.
Here's one thing I can tell you that is always my takeaway is that because we're talking
about health care providers who can only see people on a one-on-one basis, it's very limited.
And because of the limitations of the health care here in Canada, which for so many reasons
is so great and obviously for other reasons is not so great, is that you really need to
to have, you really need to have all the resources available to you. And in here we have, for example,
of course, doctors, Sean Wharton, Sandy Van, who come in and talk about obesity as a disease.
The mental part of things, Dr. Beverly David, psychology, behavioral therapy. Sandra
Leah, for example, if you deal with food addiction issues, Dr. Dina Kara Schaefer, a learning strategist,
talking about working through old habits, creating new habits, unlearning, re-learning. Dr. Linka,
Dr. Paul, that natural pathic side of thing, dealing with deficiencies in the bodies and being
proactive with your own health care. Fitness experts like Sri Perez and Andrew Blakey,
who talk about the reality of actually getting started and, you know, what's the best exercises to do
if you have limitation.
So that comes down to, you know, maybe a resource like a kinesiologist or a physiotherapist
in some senses.
And so that's what's really great about our program is access to all of our incredible guest
experts.
And the thing about our guest experts is they know exactly what you are doing.
And this is why it all really works together.
So the living method as a foundation works for healthy, sustainable weight loss.
Just follow the program.
It happens all the time.
We have A-type people who are like, let me just tick off the boxes.
They lose the weight.
but then they get into maintenance and realize they haven't done the mental work, that's where
that part comes into play. And then of course, big picture is losing your weight in a way you're
actually going to be able to maintain and sustain. So the living method is a great foundation.
And then our experts just add this whole other layer because they're not just speaking broadly.
They're speaking specifically to you knowing exactly where you are at and what you are doing in the
program. And then you add the community layer on top of that. And that is really important to know that
you are not alone, to know that you have a place where you're not being judged, where you can
just share where you're at and how you're feeling and being really honest about that. And to not
only not be ridiculed or judged, but actually to receive support, I think is one of the reasons
why the living method works really well. Now, of course, what we're trying to do is get the
living method out there and more accessible to people. This is that kind of program that's
hard to market because there's so much going on once you're inside.
and you're able to see what it's all about.
That's one thing, but getting people to buy into, for lack of a better word,
or to give the living method a try, is much harder because people are very skeptical about diet.
So, yeah, so we're here to have the conversations, here to see what's going on.
You know, like billions and billions and billions of dollars are spent on, in Canada,
the health care system just because there is such a massive disconnect, right?
So it's great if you're working with your doctor.
It's great, for example, if you're working with a,
a dietitian. Maybe you have dietary limitations or, you know, something a little bit more than what
we focus on the living method. Maybe you are seeing a psychologist and you have issues that go deeper than
just, you know, being taught to eat everything on your plate or whatever that might be. And this is
where that disconnect is. There's just not a lot of resources for people that are truly designed to help
you lose weight in a healthy way and a sustainable. There's a lot of quick fix offerings out there, right? Buy this,
buy that. They're designed to get you to pay your money and, you know, in a sense, even the big
weight loss companies, do they even want you to lose your weight? And that's one of the things I'm
here thinking like, do these pharmaceutical companies who provide these medications for people really
want people to lose weight? Because one of the conversations here is you hear doctors saying, well,
it's pretty much impossible to change your set point. It's such fucking horseshit because if your set point can go up,
set point can go down. The reason why they're saying it isn't impossible is because they've been
able to help very few people who've been able to achieve and maintain that. And why? Because they're
just prescribing a drug, they're just telling them to go do a diet, not understanding all the other
pieces that come into play. The other thing that kind of bothers me a little bit is they treat people
who are having a hard time losing weight, almost as they are just incapable. You know, and I get this,
I find this a lot in the outside world where people like, oh, well, you're praying on people who are
desperate. Well, one, I don't see you as desperate. I see you as having tried a lot of shitty things
that were designed. That's why if you're here now, I'm like, there's no reason why you're going to
reach your goal. This is like there's also a lot of people on the internet online right now who are
trying to debunk this and debunk that. Well, they're saying this and they're not saying that.
Like I, you notice I stay out of it because I think you're a grown up. I think you're a grown up.
completely capable of knowing if something is like bullshit or whatever. Or if you want to try that
thing, because maybe it gives you hope or you want to try something different or you have the luxury
of trying this new latest thing or that latest thing. And for one second, it just brings you hope
or joy. I don't think there's anything wrong with that at the end of the day. But yeah,
it's just kind of like, what do people need to be able to lose weight in a sustainable way?
the environment to do so, the education piece of how it's so much more than eating less and
exercising more. It is not calories in versus calories out, right? And a system and a method for
making change. And the understanding too, this is where I'm getting to with this, the understanding
it's such a process. And this is where you're going to have times in your life or programs that
you do where it's going to feel like everything comes together for you and you were a huge success.
then you're going to do another program where it might just be life smacking you in the face,
hanging on by the skin of your teeth, feeling like a complete failure.
But you are not.
You are just someone who is navigating a really hard time in your life and showing up and doing
whatever you can do, the best you can do, even if it seems like a failure in comparison to
maybe a previous program, is still a massive success because you are still here, you are still
showing up, you're putting one foot in front of the other, and you are moving forward. You
are getting one step closer to reaching your goal. You absolutely can and will reach your goal of all
the science out there. Because everyone's scienceing these days, although fucking science takes
forever to catch up to real life implementation. That's the whole problem with science,
but there's zero science to suggest that you cannot reach your goal. It's just a matter of figuring
out what is going on with you. Where is your body at? What do you need?
to work on and work through. In my experience with helping people, the biggest obstacle is that people
do not put enough time in to reaching their goals. They get fed up. They get, you know, tired because
life is tiring. And to me, I work with so many clients like, oh, my scale never moves. Yes,
your scale doesn't move because the minute you start doing really well, that's when something
shit goes sideways. That's a reason for you to, oh, I drank wine and ate chips. I did this and
that, it can exercise and whatever. And that is fine, but that's also your reality. So that's where
you have to be really real and honest and say, okay, in this moment of my life, I am struggling,
this is the best I can do. That's that. That doesn't mean you can't reach your goals. Because
the reality, the reason why you're not reaching your goals is because you're all caught up over here
dealing with this rather than trying to do as many things as you can to be proactive. And sometimes
in life something has to give so you can't do those things. But all of the things, but all of the
the small things that you are doing, absolutely add up and make a big difference.
Anyway, whenever I come to these things, I'm always just like, oh, let me talk to the people
and let me just like, so you absolutely can reach your goal. There's no reason why you can't.
Let me just see if I can find myself here and get to you and talk to your question.
Multiple F-bomb Thursday, they just triggered the wrong person with so much passion.
Tell your wrong, everybody here is really great. It's just like, sometimes I'm just like,
They're like, we don't know.
We can't figure it out.
And I'm like, hi.
But the problem with me is I don't get the credibility.
I am not a doctor.
So they're like, okay, great.
Well, who's this girl?
Who's that?
But think about Weight Watchers.
Weight Watchers was started with a woman in her kitchen.
She was an accountant.
And she's just like, okay, I'm trying to figure up this weight thing.
Why don't I include my friends and let's figure it out, right?
The thing they talk about here is lived experience.
So they bring people up who are experienced and living.
in larger bodies. Hello, that was me as well. And they're like, they're the real experts until they're
not the real experts. Or you think about Noom, right? Noom is created by two guys who never had a weight
issue who are like into tech. That's it. And they're like, hey, we had tech and app. What makes us
different? We had psychology. We're going to put that in there. And all you have is new. So both like
Noom's a billion dollar business. I think Weight Watchers at one point was getting closer.
billion dollar business and that's the one that all the doctors prescribe to people oh just try weight
watchers try new whatever right and this is why I love that more and more doctors are actually
suggesting the living method and that's why I'm here to have conversations um the people at obesity
matters for example have been really great and what I realize is that you know we're a really
great resource for people who are connecting with their doctors and health care providers and then
they're just trying to figure it out right so we kind of have it all figured out for them this
program is the only program I tried that doesn't allow me to give up on myself because of all the
components that tie into the healing the past and moving forward. This, that's it. So this is all
about everybody's here working towards the same goal, but everybody has a different experience
because it's how you were raised, how food is tied into your past. For some people, very, very
deeply tied into past traumas, coping mechanisms. For some people, their weight is, is, is
a reason to not have to put yourself out there, not to date, not to look for a new job, not to
like do things. So in a sense, your weight works for you. For people, your weight can be very
defining of who you are and there's a lot of bias out there, even with your friends and your
family who are like, this is your role. This is your role. In our friendship, you are the, you're
the fat person, for lack of a better term for that. And then when that dynamic changes, that
changes friendships, it changes relationships. So there's a lot that you're working through to
to become the version of you that you know you want to be. The reality is you gained weight, you gained it
for whatever reason. You gained it probably because a health issue, stress, life, something traumatic
happens, the way you were raised. Like there's a lot of factors that go into why your body
over time felt to need to store fat. Then you layer dieting on top of that. The whole,
low fat, no fat, eat less, exercise more, fucked everybody up. That's the problem. It ruined everyone's
metabolisms. So the less you ate, the less your body burned fat for fuel, your body learned,
it need to store a certain amount of fat. So your body just needs to unlearn. And this is what
what's so brilliant about Dr. Jason Fung is he says it's the exact same thing. Yeah, okay,
their set point. It's a learned behavior. Your body has learned that it needs to store a certain
amount of fat. It can also unlearn that. The thing is, it takes work and it takes time and it takes
you implementing a couple different strategies, right? Not just what you're eating, but managing stress,
managing sleep. And also losing weight in a way that you are allowing the body to plateau,
giving that body time to adjust to your weight, which means adjusting your hormones around this weight,
your blood flow around this way. And the thing that no one talks about is your heart,
which is a muscle that grows to fit the size of your body.
And if you're taking low blood pressure medication,
that's to help your heart from being enlarged,
this muscle from growing too big.
So the size of your heart actually has to decrease
to fit this new size of your body,
something nobody fucking talks about.
Nobody talks about that,
which is absolutely insane.
So everyone wants to lose 60 pounds in like a week,
but doesn't understand.
you can't physically do that because it's not sustainable for your body. So immediately your body is
going to be like, oh my God, we got to bring it back to baseline. So you absolutely can and will
lose your weight as long as you don't give up on yourself and you keep doing the things you need to do
for as long as you need to do them. And everyone's a little different in terms of the things that they
need to focus on. Right. Good morning, good morning. My doctor told me I wasn't losing fast enough
yesterday. I'm going to need to put some vodka in my, what do they put in coffee? Bailies.
Fuck your doctor. He sounds like an asshole. My doctor told me I wasn't losing fast enough yesterday.
Can you imagine? And to do more cardio, you don't need to do more cardio. You know what is beneficial
is getting your heart rate up for as high as you can for as long as you can, which might be 20 seconds,
30 seconds, one minute. So your physical brain that runs your body doesn't see.
what you're doing. It only interprets your movement based on fight or flight. So every time you get
your heart rate up, your body thinks, I'm running for my life, I'm running for survival, I'm running for
whatever. And then your body says, oh shit, this bitch is alive. We want to keep her alive. She keeps
running for her life. We need to make her stronger, faster, fitter so I can keep her alive, right? So that's
why we know that even just getting your heart rate up for a few minutes every week actually
makes your heart stronger. So that's the benefit of cardio, which has cardiovascular health. It can help
with your metabolism. But building and maintaining muscle, probably more important. From a like a lifespan,
yes, cardio is really important. Also, so is endurance, which is why you'd want to do long form walking as
well. And then you want to do some sort of form of resistance training. Your doctor sounds old school.
Like, what do they want you to do? Like do some, you know, spin classes and step classes and hit classes and all of that.
do more cardio i'm so dialed into this program i am so dialed in this program was super discouraging
down 16 pounds this program not to mention six months postpartum and back to my pre-pregncy weight
that's fucking insane your doctor likely has no training related to weight loss keep doing what you're
doing listen i don't want to slam any doctors because when i when there's something wrong with me i want
to go to my doctor right like they're great like i got some thing i'm dealing with whatever
they are absolutely, I'll tell you what, they are not trained in this area and I know why,
because your doctor likely has no training related to weight loss.
This is true because this is what obesity matters is all about.
There's a bunch of doctors downstairs right now who don't even know how to talk to their patients.
They literally are sitting there saying, well, when someone comes in, what do you say?
I'm like, are you fucking shitting me?
Talk to them like they're a real fucking person.
How about start with that?
they literally have no idea how to speak to you, let alone treat you. Sorry, I'm getting a little
riled up. 16 pounds in this program is amazing, even if it took you three programs to get there,
because you've done it in a healthy way, not as starve and deprive yourself way. So one to two
pounds a week is amazing. That's like gold standard. Like that's gold standard. Now, there are
people who lose more than that in a single program. But the next,
program they do, they might not lose any, right? Like you have someone who loses 60 pounds of one
program. If I got them on and talk to them and we do this all the time and spill the tea,
their story probably will be, I really had a hard time losing my second program. Not that they had a
hard time, it's just that their body needed time to adjust to their weight. So anytime I've
talked to anyone about the total loss, if you took their total loss divided by the amount of time
that they have spent losing weight, it averages out to be one to two pounds per week. But there are
times where you have like lose nothing and then, you know, you'll lose what seems like a big chunk, right?
So 16 pounds in the program and six months postpartum, you know what I love about this in doing
the Libyan Method postpartum is because the biggest mistake that women make after having their baby.
There is nothing, there's nothing more metabolism increasing than growing a whole human being
inside you. That's like the number one booster metabolism thing that you can possibly do. Think about it.
You just grew a whole human inside you. One of the things you have to be mindful on after you have a baby
is deficiencies because, you know, those kids tend to like suck everything you got. Do you trust me?
I know. I have for it. And then you take that. So you're already on the verge if you're not taking supplements,
right, being a little bit depleted because you grow to this whole huge human. And then what do we do?
we starve ourselves, deprive ourselves to try to get back to our weight, when all you need to do
is give your body what it needs. Your body wants you to be able to run after children and be a high
energy parent. It doesn't want you carrying a bunch of excess weight that slows you down, makes you
tired, keeps your body inflamed. So your body is happy to release that fat. Now, also there are hormones
in there that can slow that process. Also, if you were in nursing, that adds a whole other layer where
they're like kind of different like trigger points where your hormones are changing where you'll
notice like it takes like four months to get to that that kind of where your body's really releasing
that that weights if you're still nursing and in six months it actually takes years for those
hormones after one pregnancy to like totally settle down after a baby so 16 pounds back to
postpartum and back to your pre-pregnancy weight is nothing short of fucking fantastic yeah good for you good for you
Good for you. Yes, program one lost 22 pounds. Program two is 10. Right. So in total, that's amazing. But not worried.
Slowing down is okay with me to let my body and brain catch up. And that's it. It's not just the longer, whenever you lose weight, any plateau that you are on is not like just not doing anything. It's not lost time. Like you want plateaus. You need plateaus. We've been taught that plateaus mean that if you're on a,
plateau, what you're doing is no longer changing. And that's being reinforced with JLP1 medications,
right? This is why I love Sandy Van. Because Sandy Van came on. If you didn't have an opportunity
to talk to her, listen to that conversation. It's available, I think in the expert guides or
on our podcast that you can listen to. She came on last program, I believe. And I said, well,
you know, people take weight loss medications and their weight stalls. And she's like, no, no, no, no.
she's like if their weight stalls it's either because they've stopped doing things to see that weight
drop and relying solely on medication or their body just needs an adjustment period for that right
and so we're being taught okay well if your weight stops then you need to change something up when in
reality you probably just need to give the body time to adjust and so even these weight loss
medications what they're doing is like you your weight drops and they're like oh you're on a stall
let's switch up your medication, let's change your dose, when like, how about we just give our body a hot fucking minute to adjust to this weight, and then your weight will start dropping again. So that's the pattern of healthy, sustainable weight loss. It's the pattern I've seen for 30 years, but it's not the pattern that people are used to in the quick, fixed diet. If you're on a plateau, it means something is wrong, or you're not doing what you need to do, right? So that's the problem with that is we're taught that.
for the first 11 makes I've been on a plateau up down back and back down figures that this week my weight finally moves and is consistently down now what sometimes it takes that breaking point right so now you just keep moving forward so ideally you're going to want to really dig your heels into personalizing the plan which is great helps you like check in at every single meal and snack time assess your situation really go deep with that obviously keep those portions and check four sets of mind bleeding don't eat after dinner so you want to still keep
going through this week, next week, you're signed up, you do another round, and then you redo
the whole process all over again exactly as designed. Because the program works, the systems,
the system stays the same, but your body has changed. So your experience in the next program
are moving forward should be like, your body's like, okay, good to go. We're ready for that
next round of weight loss. And that's probably what your body's pattern of behavior is going to be.
You don't assume just because the scale isn't moving or isn't dropping, oh, that's it for me.
You should really refresh your mind with, like, okay, I put that time in, body plateaued.
It's go time.
It's that breaking point.
I don't know if you've read the book Atomic Habits.
We take a little excerpt from it of what talks about the threshold and the breaking point.
So if you put an ice cube, for example, you're trying to melt in the ice cube and you have it sitting on a counter and you turn up the temperature in the room.
Up one degree, it's the same.
Up another degree.
It's the same.
Up another degree.
It's the same.
Keep going.
It feels like nothing is changing this ice cube.
And all of a sudden it gets to a breaking point where it starts to melt.
And you're like, oh, that's it.
This is the temperature.
No, it was melting.
It was going through the process of melting all along.
But the time that I saw that melting process happened was at a breaking point.
And that's what happens in the body is that you hit this breaking point where it's like,
okay, time to focus on fat loss again.
because who knows what it was doing before, right?
It could have been solidifying your weight.
It could have been a variety of factors.
It could be hormones, whatever you're dealing with.
Could have been sickness and recovery, stressful periods of time.
Like it's all based on momentum, right?
And this is when life goes sideways.
You get a cold.
You get something that you're dealing with.
Something is interrupting your sleep.
This is why you've got to kind of keep it together, keep it together, keep it together, keep
going forward, keep going forward.
And sometimes you can't do all the things,
but that's what some of those things that you're still doing are a game changer make a big difference.
So now you just assume that your body is good to go and go, right?
Go with it.
Go with it.
That's where you've got to keep going.
So I kind of fight against a 91 day program because I think people believe that they should
be able to accomplish a certain thing within 91 days.
If you look back to other diets that you've done, you didn't put that kind of same
pressure and restriction.
Maybe you would have had certain dates that you wanted to reach a certain goal by.
You had an idea of like, okay, I would love to lose X amount.
of weight in X amount of time, but that was more wishful thinking, what we thought maybe we could do
more of a goal rather than a reality. And that time, of course, would come and you would factor in,
oh, well, this happened in my life, that happened in my life. And so you just kept ongoing.
And there were times where you're more motivated, more proactive, and maybe life was easier for you,
so you saw more losses. But it didn't stop you from doing your Weight Watchers membership
for 22 years. Right. And so the least,
living method is a bit different in the sense that we just structure it in 91 day live sessions.
So this is our new membership.
The whole point of our new membership is you don't stop.
You keep working towards your goals in between sessions.
But the live sessions, like you, someone could sign up for our membership today,
get started with the basic food plan and we put together a get started guide, for example.
And then you use the 91 day sessions of these major pivotal times in your life in the
fall after summer when we want to start a diet in the new year.
after the holidays when we want to start a diet and right before the spring, before the summer,
where we want to start a diet, that hopefully will keep you a little bit more motivated and you
follow that structure. So the in-between the programs is going to be just as important as doing
the actual program. So it's not like you're starting and then you're stopping. Yeah, you're
starting the live session. Yes, the live session comes to an end, but your weight loss journey
keeps continuing. And so that's why with the new membership, we have support. So you continue
to use the app, access to content. We're going to be.
adding in like specific JLP ones,
menopause information in there as well.
And then content in between programs is where we're going to go.
And a lot of it is geared yes towards the program,
but also just lifestyle factors and other tips and stuff that keep you motivated.
Two pounds a month is 24 pounds in a year, right?
Yeah, right?
Like that's a lot of weight.
I've lost 18 pounds and three programs.
The program is very slow, but because you explain it so well,
I know I will continue to lose by continuing the program.
I know I need to work on more things, but traveling in this road will get to my destination.
Yeah.
And that's like, so, so women spend the same like something like 20 years trying to lose the same
10 pounds over and over again or something crazy like that.
This isn't just starve yourself, deprive yourself, lose that weight, great, fit into your jeans
for five minutes and then gain it all back and make the whole thing worse again, right?
This is sustainable change.
So you have this vision of who you know you are, are meant to be or you can feel.
Like the way you're moving through life, like the energy you're showing up, like how you feel in your body.
And that's not about a size, like how you feel in your body.
Chances are if you're trying to change your weight, you also just don't feel good physically.
And there's some changes that you want to make there.
And there's a bigger picture.
And sort of like, what are the steps to get me to be living that life that I can feel?
like it's tangible and it's all about just working through old habits you were a product of the life that
you have lived and now you want to make changes so that you are changing who you are and how you're
showing up in the world you're growing you're evolving right um and that's sort of like that's just a matter
of especially as you get older like let's let's like add another layer to this program because it seems
like i've talked to so many people recently and my family included who are dealing with somebody who has
cancer. And as you get older in midlife, it's beyond just fitting into your genes. It's actually
staying alive and being as healthy as possible so you have a fighting chance. And so it's so much more than
that, right? And this is like, okay, what can I do to not just lose weight? What can I do to be healthy?
What can I do to live my longest, healthiest life? So I'm actually living my life. That's one of the
things I love about the program is that all the things that you are doing to lose weight or all the
things that you're doing to make yourself healthier, happier. And now we're not just talking
physically, we're also talking mentally as well. And so people not pull into what's happening in
their outside life. Take a look at the things that you have been working through and dealing
with, not just working on, not just the proactive weight loss stuff, but like what life is like,
what situation are you dealing with, are you trying to do this while you're dealing with a
massive amount of grief and carrying the weights of that, where you're financially maybe
struggling where you are struggling in a relationship. Maybe you're getting a divorce. Maybe you're
unhappy in your relationship. Struggling through friendships and wondering where do you fit in the world.
Struggling to find your purpose. All of this, you're trying to fit your ass into your jeans while
you're dealing with kids stuff, aging parents, taking care of your parents. Where did life? How did the
time go by quickly? Your adult children, I'm, you know, I'm dealing with that now. I got three
that are like, okay, great. And I got one that is just
Oh my God.
You know, and it's a lot.
So we think that we see on the outside, oh, you know, on Instagram, I'm going for a walk.
It's so wonderful.
Look at me and eat me at food.
Meanwhile, you're carrying all this massive weight of life along with you.
And this is what you need to take into account, right?
So when you look back, and I always love at the end of the program, look back and reflect on your journey up into this point, not just what you ate, not just what you did for exercise, but what was happening in your life.
If you were to have a word, if you were to describe these last three months, not your weight journey, but your life, what is the word that you would use to describe your life?
Right?
And be like, oh, okay.
You know, that happened.
I made it through that.
Like for me, I'm in a different place now.
But when I started the year, I had to make some really hard business decisions.
I was like, oh, my goodness, what's going on here?
What's going on with that?
just when I got a breather with that.
Now I'm dealing with stuff with my child, who's a young adult now, and that's stressful.
And then, you know what I mean?
There's always something.
So how would you describe that?
Ah, this morning I was a sunrise yoga.
Aw.
A friend who was a former Livy lover.
She whispered in my ear, you look fabulous.
Not only was it grateful for that sweet act of kindness, but sincerely thankful for the
incredible program.
Oh my gosh. I'm honestly grateful for you guys too, right? So this is the point of the program.
We started thanking us and the team and we love that. But also I do have to say it is not lost on us.
And I know if you've been with us for a while, you've heard this before and it never changes.
It's not lost on us that we get to do what we do because you put your faith in us.
And that's one of the things that's hard about this program as I'm like telling people or people who know the program.
It's so great why more people know about it. More people don't know about it because it's a hard thing to sell lifestyle change.
and to do it in a way that's not selling a quick fix or, you know, some woohoo-hness.
And so with our next program coming up, if you do know anyone or can spread the word,
either share a social media post.
So many people have been like, oh, my God, I randomly saw a post that my friend shared,
and then I decided to give it a go.
With our new subscription service, we're really back to our original pricing of $60 for the 91-day session.
Because it's $20 a month.
You can cancel any time after four months, although you're not going to want to cancel.
after four months. But that breaks it down to $20 a month. And that gives you the community.
It gives you Facebook support group, real people answering your questions. It gives you the
app. Ongoing AI. You can continue to use AI in between programs. We're constantly going to be
updating the information, trying to keep you as motivated as possible, really building on our
community as well, giving opportunities for our community to connect. But if you can share,
sharing is caring, that would be amazing. We're not going to be doing any big, our time.
blitz. We just find it doesn't really work for us at the end of the day. We want to keep our
costs low and we're able to keep our costs low because people share with their friends and family.
So if you know anyone who's interested, please share. Please share. I realize that that no way was I
losing weight in menopause unless they worked on managing stress and changing sleep hygiene to sleep through
the night. And that's it. So if you think about menopause to hope, right? H.R.T.MR.T.
is just managing symptoms.
And the biggest symptoms is hot flashes,
which interrupt your sleep, right?
So if you think about that,
you're taking HRT to help basically get a better night's sleep.
There's a lot that you can do.
80% of it is lifestyle because you start taking HRT
doesn't necessarily help you lose weight.
There's a lot you can do in terms of the lifestyle piece of it.
This is what we've been taught.
There's nothing you can do.
There's nothing you can do so you have to take medication.
There's nothing you can do so you have to like whatever.
When in reality,
there's a lot you can do. I just think doctors are really jaded because something like less than
1% of people who go see them walk away and make change. Less than 1%. The problem is, is people don't know
that something supportive like this even exists where it's like one-stop shop, where you get everything.
Like even just listening to one of our guest expert conversation is worth the $20 a month. Honestly,
there's just like one takeaway there. It's worth that, but people don't have access.
to it. I mean, this is maybe why we need to like connect with a Canadian government or something like
that. But that's the reason. And it's, that much is a blanket statement. Can anyone see my texting?
Hi, Sharon. I can see your texting. I can see your texting. Hi, Kristen. I saw my doctor yesterday.
I mentioned Libby again. She said again, I have heard good things about that one, which is how it starts.
I explained how it works and said the program is the best day I've ever done with.
Thank you. And then this is what's happening, right? This is like so many doctors.
are sharing the program. So, and that's because of you guys for sure.
Hi, Maryle. This is my third. I lost 10 pounds from the last two. This program I started,
stop, but I'm still here at the end. I've learned a lot more about myself. I finally recognize
what my triggers are and how I realize food affects me. I might not have lost weight this
round dealing with a death and a friend going through cancer treatment and surgery. This is
what I'm saying. This is what I'm saying.
And so you have this place in space to come to, to think about this and reserve this space for you.
Right? Because you can still deal with these things and want to lose weight or make change in your life.
Feel better. Right. I'm sorry that you've gone through all of that. So I see when I see it right, sit down.
I'm dealing with through a lot. I'm giving myself some love and grace. Today is a new day. I keep going forward.
And that's what it's about. You're going to have times where it's going to seem like everything's.
easy in other times where it's not. And even just being self-aware or getting to a place in space
where you're factoring this in and able to say, oh, okay. So I'm not failing at life. This is my
reality and this is what I'm dealing with. And hopefully if you can find some hope in there
somewhere to maybe take time to drink some water, have tea, have more compassion for yourself,
be more understanding of where you're at. That's a big part of it. That's, that's, that's,
it's, it's about making changes in your life to support the,
life that you want to live. It's about designing the life that you want to live, right? What's going to
get me to where I want to go and also dealing with life along the way? Not an easy thing. Honestly,
I don't want to change who I am. I just want to change some behavior that do not add to my value of
life. So right. Like, it's when I say you want to change who you are, your behavior changes who you are.
Your life's day changes who you are. It changes your confidence. It changes the energy that you show up with in the worlds. Like you have, you can't not change. There's one thing that's certain about life. It's changed. You are going to change who you are. You're going to change the perception that other people have about you when you come to self-realizations, right? So it's not about changing who you are. It's time to weed out habits that are unhealthy, relationships that are unhealthy, right? And so if you think of it,
about that, there's nothing wrong with changing who you are because if you get rid of
behavior that's unhealthy, now you become a healthy person. Now if you get rid of unhealthy friends,
you're surrounded by healthy relationships. That's going to change who you are, whether you like
it or not. That could be some resistance there and wanting to change. And here's the thing.
You can love yourself exactly who you are right now today and still want to change,
still want to make changes in your life, still want to lose weight.
You cannot like things about yourself.
You cannot like your nose, but still love yourself.
You might not want to change your nose.
My nose is a little crooked for when I broke it years ago.
My nose isn't my favorite, but do I want to change it?
No.
Do I like it?
No.
do I love myself? Absolutely. Absolutely. Right. So there could be a bit of resistance there and like,
oh, I want to not change who I am, but you're supposed to change. You're supposed to change and evolve,
right? Attitudes that on how this is all on me surrounding myself with positivity in all forms is a change
I'm making at. That's what it's about. It's being intentional about I want to make changes in my life
that are going to better serve me, right? Situations, relationships. Relationships can be the hard one,
but can also be the game changer.
Who are the people you hanging around?
Where are the conversations are constantly having.
Do you hang around people who are constantly complaining and whatever?
Do you hang around people who would rather go for a walk than go to the bar?
Do you hang around people who are having forward-moving conversations?
I had a friend circle and a good friend once where it was just bullshit conversation all the time.
She pretended like her life was amazing and there was nothing ever wrong and she could do no wrong.
And in comparison, I felt like the most, I felt like the biggest disaster.
on the planet going through divorce, couldn't pay my bills, just like my shit was always like
fucking chaotic. And then when that relationship ended, and I was always there for her and she
was never really there for me. And then when that relationship ended, it gave me an opportunity
to meet so many other people. And I was like, huh, there's a whole bunch of people out there
having real conversations. And they're like just as much of a hot mess as I am because life is
messy. Right. So when you make that decision to change, you change what you are attracted.
to in your life. So I love that. I love that being intentional. Put it out there. What do you want?
What do you, you know? What do you put in out there? What do you put in out there? This program gives me
the confidence I need to improve the way my relationship with friends and families go. The lives and the
stuff I read because of this is so amazing and helpful. So that was the biggest thing for me and my
whole friendship, my whole friend circle was tied up into one friendship that ended. And I know I've
talked about this before. Maybe I'll talk about it more one day. But it was devastating to me.
and it was something that happened that probably could have been fixed by a conversation,
but my friend didn't want to have that conversation, and thank God she didn't.
And by the time she wanted to have the conversation, I was like, you know what?
I have changed so much that I don't know that we can't be friends anymore.
Because if we're friends, I'm going to tell you what's up.
I'm going to say what's on my mind.
I'm going to want to share what's going on in my life.
And, you know, I look back at that and I'm very grateful for the relationship and friendship
that we had, but I don't want that in my life again. That's not what I'm looking for in a friend.
I want someone who listens when you need to be listened to, who's there to help you,
support you, accepts you know? I think, you know, so few people understand the art of conversation.
Let's talk it out. Let's see what's going on. Let's be honest. Let's be real. Let's not judge.
And that's not an easy thing to do. And I think that's one of the best things you can do is evaluate
your friendships and the people in your life. It's very lonely and terrifying.
when friendships especially, relationships, of course, but friendships come to an end.
But it opens up a door. And as you get older in our age, it's really hard to meet new people.
And you have to kind of really be intentional about that. But I think we're all kind of like walking
around wanting to have new friendships and meet new people. We just don't know how to.
And that's why I think community pop-ups are really important because I know whenever I've had an
opportunity to hang out with my community, there's always people who meet there. And then they come up.
I'm like, are you friends? They're like, no, we met now. And so many,
friendships have come about. I've met friends online. People I've never actually met in like real
life who feel like friends online, you know. That sounds like what's going on with my sister. She
doesn't want to have a conversation about what has happened between us. Yeah, it's hard. You can't
make people want to have a conversation, but also then you can just be like, okay, well, when you're
ready, I have something to say and, you know, if they don't want to hear it, then they don't want to
hear it. I don't have the best relationship with my sister.
And I'm not mad at it.
I just feel like I don't sure I want a relationship with my sister.
I want a sister.
That's why I love my best friend, Sonia.
I have really good friends in my life that I have sister.
I have sister relationships with my friends, which I really love.
My sister's got her own thing going on.
I feel like I deserve a good sister.
Come on, I'm a good person.
I try really hard to be a good person.
And she's a bit on the toxic side and I don't want to get into it.
But, you know, she says not nice things and sends me text messages whenever she's upset that are just horrible and awful.
And maybe there's a mental health piece there.
But I've just come to be like, that's just not what I can have in my life.
I'm not like blocking it or anything like that.
But it's tough when it comes to relationship.
That's something we don't, you know what?
That's something that we don't talk enough about, I think, is the support system that you have and what's happening in relationships.
and I'd rather not cut people out, but some people you just can't have a conversation with.
Like, I would love to sit my sister down and say, listen, the way you talk to me, the way you
treat me is not okay. We'd love to have you in my life, but I can't have that. I'm not doing
that thing. I'm way too fucking old to deal with that whatever you got going on or whatever you
need in your life. Let's just like all just be, you know, reasonable, rational humans, be nice
and be kind and be able to spend time together,
but if someone else can't do that.
Okay, this is a whole other therapy session.
This is a whole other, I no longer sit at a table
where I have served poison.
Woo, that's a good one.
We all deserve that.
I know exactly how that feels.
This is why community is so important,
and this is why I want to say, I love you,
and I appreciate you, and I'm grateful for you
as another program we start to wind down.
We're not done yet.
Stick around, show up day to day.
Here's what I suggest you do.
Show up day to day.
If you've been away for a while and you haven't tuned in and you're a little bit lost,
reach out.
We're not going to judge you.
We're not going to say where you've been.
What are you doing?
So reach out for help.
We're happy to help you make the most or catch up or whatever you need.
Set yourself up for success going to the next program in between groups.
So reach out.
Show up day by day right to the very last day.
Follow through finish.
That will solidify in your soul that you have finished.
You started.
You finish.
So many people you will hear.
So many of you who like this is the farthest that you've got good on you,
not an easy thing to accomplish.
But when you stay it here at the end,
you're going to be like, wow, I did that.
And then you'll be able to look back
and see how the pieces fit.
And then see, before you start the next one,
okay, this is what I did, this is where I'm at now,
what can I do to set me out for success?
What can I do to keep moving forward?
What can I do to build on where I'm at now?
And that's what you want to do,
but you want to show out.
We're going to make sure you're super clear our next steps.
I know some of you are wondering
what's happening with your membership.
If you are already part of our subscription,
membership, you don't have to do anything.
you'll automatically be added in the app to the next live session.
You'll use one of your codes to get into the Facebook support group.
We're going to send you emails.
I'm going to talk more about that in the final days of the program.
I still want to focus on where people are at and what they're doing right now.
So we're going to make sure you're super set.
Have a great day, everyone, and I will check in tomorrow.
So I won't be going live, but I'll be checking in over the weekend.
So I'll see them.
Thanks.
Bye.
