I'm Gina Livi and welcome to the Livi Method Podcast.
This is where you'll have access to all of the live streams from my 91 Day Weight Loss
program.
With a combination of daily lives, guest expert interviews, and member stories, there is something
new almost every day.
Miss the Morning Live?
Want to relisten to one of our amazing guest experts?
Well, this is the place.
This podcast is hosted on Acast,
but it's available on all podcast platforms,
including the one you're listening to right now,
Spotify, Apple, and Amazon Music.
Let's get this party started.
It is the last week, 12 weeks, really 13,
if you joined us in prep week, day one of the program.
Rolling into our final week,
this week this week is focused on a couple of things, making sure you're super, super
duper confident in next steps.
That is you are continuing to lose and you've signed up for our April program.
Have you signed up yet?
That's the first step you need to do.
And of course, so many of you are already talking about how you're ready for maintenance.
I love that. That of course is also the focus this week.
What maintenance is all about, what that's going to look like.
We're going to have Odette, who is the manager of our maintenance and mindfulness program,
join us on Wednesday for our Tweek This Week conversation.
So if you're interested in maintenance, you can hear what that's all about. Again, how you are losing weight and what you are learning,
the things that you are working through, the unlearning, the relearning, the learning of new
things, working through issues, associations, working through old habits, creating new habits
while you are losing weight are going to help you be able to maintain and sustain your weight.
Now, once you get into maintenance, you're going to realize it's a whole other beast, whole
other can of worms. It's like a whole other thing. We have a 91 day maintenance program.
Similar steps to the weight loss program in terms of like what you are eating and when
each week because that's going to continue to unravel and you know get you working even deeper and leveling up even more.
But the intention is in maintenance and the conversation is completely different.
And then what you are learning and doing and unlearning and relearning and the new things
you are learning, working through your issues and associations that pop up in maintenance,
all of that in beliefs is a big one. Believing that you are worthy, learning to trust,
really solidifying being in tune with when to eat,
what to eat, and how much to eat,
all the things you are learning in the weight loss program.
So learning to trust that,
everything you do in the maintenance program
will help you get to that third stage,
which is just live your life, right?
Wake up, look good, feel good, and go about your day.
Trusting when to eat, what to eat, how much to eat.
If you do choose to indulge, you don't berate yourself
after, punish yourself, you just carry on, right?
So there's a whole process to it.
Just ordered the journal.
So we do have a journal for our new spring program.
It's a new journal every program.
So you can open it up.
It's a fresh start.
It's different from the app.
So it's got similar features, but we
know that writing things down is very
helpful to bring it into the forefront of your mind.
So we have a brand new journal for each program.
Same base program guides. We're going to be
switching that up again in the fall because we've just upgraded
some of the information. We've added some new information. So we're going to be
doing a new program guide in the fall. But so if you have the program guide
from the fall or the winter, you can use that same program guide for the spring.
If you don't have the program guide, I highly suggest you do.
I love, you know, making notes and highlighting and whatnot.
You learn differently when you when you're reading it
and making highlights and notes as opposed to just kind of seeing it on your screen.
Of course, the Libby Method app is incredible.
If you did not use it, this group, I highly suggest you do.
You are missing out.
It doesn't just it's not just for tracking.
It actually guides you through the program with what you are tracking.
All of the information is in there.
All the recipes are in there.
The posts are in there.
You can track your day and it kind of gives you a tally of visual at the end of the day,
how well you are, how consistent you are showing up.
It also has the AI feature where you can ask any questions that you want in the app and
within seconds get a response.
It also pull pull all that information up as well.
Always worried that someone is going to find my private journal.
Otherwise I'd love to have one.
As I get older, I just don't give love to have one. I hear you.
As I get older, I just don't give a shit.
Whatever.
This is me.
This is who I am.
If you don't like it, whatever.
It's what it is.
It is what it is.
But I hear you.
I get morning traveling.
Good morning from Bali.
Nice traveling and staying on track is challenging but very
doable.
So glad I can check in when I can.
Hi Anita.
I hope you're having the best time.
Yeah, I mean, it's all about losing your weight in a way where you understand how to travel,
where you can enjoy all the yummy bites of bits. Here's some people checking in from the high
Sandy. So here in Canada, Ontario area, we just had a massive ice storm, like three solid days.
You should have seen it on the radar.
It was just like a solid pink just moving across.
We got hit here.
We weren't too bad where I am.
I mean, the trees had a bunch of ice on and the roads were icy,
but sort of north of us got pummeled where my mom is, Peterborough Lakefield.
I don't even know if my mom's got power.
I talked to her on Saturday
morning. She had power, but some of our team doesn't have power. So just send in love and
to everyone's trees that they love that got knocked down and just send in love to everyone.
Craziness, craziness, craziness, craziness. Yes, hope my Ontario friends are warm and safe from the
crazy ice storm this past weekend.
Yeah, I mean, people lining up for gas.
I was trying to, I asked Tony when we had the big power outage.
So here, I think it was just local, right?
It wasn't across Canada.
It was local like Toronto, but we had like a three-day power outage.
I remember, it must have been early 2000s.
We didn't figure out the date, did we?
We didn't Google that?
The big power outage storm?
No, we're literally like we didn't have any power
for three days.
I think it was a big transformer in the States, I think.
So we were reminiscing about that.
Okay, a couple of things I wanna talk about.
This route, this round flew by too fast.
I know, we always say that at the end, Cindy, right?
The beginning, we're all like ready to go
and then the middle seems like it's taking forever.
And then the last four weeks of the program fly by as well the two week break in between
groups.
So make sure you're confident for the break in between groups personalizing the plan.
Ideally I heard someone saying today that they were nervous.
They were nervous at the beginning of the week to personalize the plan and then all of a sudden they were like, okay, I'm doing it.
Let me see that. Let me have that right here actually.
I was really worried and even frightened this first part of the week.
I actually didn't think I could do it. Then a few days ago I realized, holy moly, I'm doing it.
I caught myself looking in the fridge and asking, what am I hungry for?
Then at snack time, I wasn't hungry,
so I chose not to have it.
And I dropped a pound or two.
You should still, it's not,
so dropping the weight isn't from
not having meals and snacks.
So that is really, really, really important.
Anyway, I'll read the rest.
I'm so very proud of what I've accomplished so far
and learned.
I'm feeling confident I can get to my next goal weight.
Absolutely, you can.
So the weight isn't dropping because you are eating less
or choosing not to have meals or snacks.
It's just about being in tune to your body's needs.
At this point, your body doesn't want the fat gone
any more than you do.
And so it's really about the momentum that you have
and all the little things that you are doing
and showing up consistently, right? Managing your stress and your sleep and moving your body and all the little things that you are doing and showing up consistently, right?
Managing your stress and your sleep and moving your body and all those things.
Plus, with where we're at this time of year, with where we're at this time of year, so
someone was talking about a hot flash.
No, I didn't.
I didn't just have a hot flash.
I just did a workout.
So that's why I'm still kind of in my workout gear.
But I was having a hot flash all weekend long.
I don't know what was going on.
I kept saying to Tony, I'm so hot.
I don't know what.
I was feeling really good.
I'm like 52.
I've been like five months without my menstrual cycle.
I went nine months previously and then it came back for like two months.
I was feeling pretty good.
Not too many hot flashes or anything going on.
And then this weekend, I don't know what's going on. My keep saying Tony hormones or something like that. What
the heck was I talking about? What's I talking about? What's I talking about? That's menopause
brain right there. I was skipping meals. Yeah. So it's, it's not skipping meals. It's the
momentum that you're building.
This time of year, that's what I was talking about.
So this time of year, the days are getting longer,
temperatures are warming.
Just like the ducks fly south
and then they fly back, the fish swim upstream.
Our bodies go looking to lighten up,
to drop any fat that it would have naturally
felt the need to store in the wintertime to keep us warm.
Now, obviously you didn't gain weight over the wintertime because you do in the program,
but excess fat is excess fat.
And so this time of year, your body is going to go looking to get rid of excess fat.
So it's a great time to focus on fat loss.
It's also pulling you into the winter hibernation mode and actually giving you more energy.
It's where you feel like a spring in your step, you feel more energetic.
You also get a little bit of longer leeway as well until where you can eat dinner. Obviously you want to eat dinner
as early as possible in the evening but now it gets a little bit darker so it gives a little bit
wiggle room. So winter is a great time to focus on. I'll zoom in, great time for that. Some people
are wondering what they can do if they can still use the app in between groups. Absolutely. So if
you signed up for the Spring program,
once this program is done and you complete the 91 days
in this program, and you put your code
into the Spring program, it will automatically start.
So you don't download a new app.
When you purchase the program, you'll get another new code,
and you'll use that code to unlock the Spring program
in the same app that you're using.
In between groups, you're using. In between
groups you're going to be able to continue to track. It's not guiding you
through but like it does obviously because you're just going to be
personalized in the plan but you'll be able to continue to track everything
that you want to track in between the groups so don't worry about that. We do
not have an app for our maintenance program but once you're if you've signed
up for the maintenance program you can continue to use the app in general tracking mode
while doing the maintenance program.
So right now the maintenance program is only housed on Facebook.
Uh, it's the same 91 day program that'll start up on April 21st.
So it's a little same, but different.
Um, it's, you know, not as intensive obviously, because you know, maintenance
shouldn't be, although there's
lots of conversation on things that you can do.
We are working on an app for it, but it means reworking the app that we have right now.
So we're currently doing that, but maybe we'll have the app ready for the fall.
Good morning.
How are we on the last week?
Hi Victoria.
This one has been a struggle for me.
Lots going on in life and I've kept to the program,
but definitely ate my feelings here and there
and wasn't as on point as other programs.
So to me, that's doing the program.
Like, it's not always about crushing it.
It's about like the fact that you are here
and you've gone through some thoughts and some feels
and some emotions, or this is particularly
a hard season of your
life, that to me, that's still crushing it, right?
Rather than basing it on the scale or non-scale victories, sometimes we have to sit back and
be like, wow, look what life threw at me this time, or look at the deep shit that I started
to work through unravel.
That's the work.
That's the work.
It's not the food and whatever.
Fine, yeah, yeah, yeah,
you're gonna lose the weight, but we're talking
and learning the things that you're gonna be able
to maintain and sustain it.
And it's especially when life is really hard
and smacking you in the face, right?
I love this program so much and did not give up even once.
I'm so proud of this.
Yeah, I'm proud of you too.
It's not an easy thing to continue to show up.
It's not an easy thing to continue to show up
for yourself in your life, like on the lowest level doing the minimal amount of things
that is not easy. But to continue to show up and give any thought at all to this is amazing. It's
amazing. Going to reset in the next one and put myself first and all the problems etc. second.
put myself first and all the problems etc. second. That's what I love about how we structure the program in 91 days because it can get messy, life can get
messy and it gives you a start and gives you an end and then there's a whole
middle just like there's a start date to your weight loss program and then
eventually there'll be an end and then there'll be this big middle. And I love that you can kind of, what's that word?
Cart, cart, cart, cart, I can't say it.
Cart, cart, mentalize, come part, come part, mentalize,
come part mentalize.
It's Monday.
Cart, cart, forget it.
You know what I'm fucking saying.
So you can take it and just kind of be like, reflect back,
like move it aside, okay, I'm done, I did that.
What happened?
What was going on in my life?
How did I think I showed up for myself?
What did I do really well that I wanna continue?
What do I want to work on that I maybe didn't do so well?
Last time, what resources did I use last time?
Did I not use the app?
Let me try the app that everyone talks about.
Right, did I journal?
Let me try journaling this time.
Whether you buy our journal or you just use your own journal.
Did I ask questions in the group?
Did I go into the Facebook group at all?
Right, like what can I do to set myself?
Because in hindsight really, it's so easy to look back
and be like, because again, so many people I've met
have been like, oh, I did the program.
I just totally bombed last week. Like, I don't know what's going on with me. I need to kick in the ass. have been like, oh, I did the program. I just totally bombed last week.
Like, I don't know what's going on with me.
I need a kick in the ass.
I'm like, no, you don't.
You need to just take a minute and realize
what was going on in your life and what you were dealing with
and where you were at.
That's all.
That's that you can't see the forest from the trees sometimes.
You just don't know what you need while you're in it.
And then this gives you an opportunity
at the end of the program to step back and be like, OK,
what do I need? I can do this. I did that. I can do the next one. And I can
keep going until I reach my goal. What do I need to do? You know, so I love that. I
love that for you. I love that for you. Hi, Dave Stewart. Good morning. I'll just jumped
in to say hi. I have a sick kid at home today so can't be online dealing with coughs and
snot. Have a good one. Nice to to see you Dave. Dave and Jason had a great
conversation. Also thanks Dave and Jason if you're listening for you know you
brought so many smiles to our faces. You brought some joy, you brought some love,
you brought some great tips. We are going to compile all of the guest segments for
you. Not just our expert guests because we have a whole guide for those in the
app. Another reason to use the app. You can go in, you can access all the guest expert guides.
But all of our real people, real journey,
if you're looking for something to do in the break,
a lot of times people will say they miss the program,
they miss me.
Probably not.
But what you probably miss is the structure
and the routine, right?
Structure, routine is the foundation of change.
And so you can
still go back and listen to any of our old podcasts, our guest segments, our great
thing to get caught up in that two-week break, anything that you might have missed
before we started all over again. So people have questions about the next
program. We do start it all over again. You want to do it with fresh eyes. You
learned what you learned. You did what you did.
Now you want to turn the page on that and move into the next program with fresh eyes.
You're bringing this whole new body, right?
This new mindset and mentality.
And listen, it's going to have the same effect, the same effect physically, same effect mentally.
You're going to unravel the layers.
You're going to go deep.
It's really cool if this has been your first program, next program because you understand
the food plan becomes more of a mental piece.
And then I think your third program is like physical and mentally.
From there, it's just tailored to your needs, basically you figuring out what you need.
Heading out for a stress test and doctor's appointment, taking care of my whole self,
crazy ice storms everywhere.
It took 45 minutes to heat the car and chop the ice off the van.
Right?
That's a workout you didn't want this morning.
Drive safe.
Hi Nan, good morning from BC.
26.4 pounds lighter and feeling great.
I'll sign up for the next program which begins on my 74th birthday.
I love that.
That's a good way to kick it off.
Good way to kick it off.
Got my blood work done Thursday.
Had not had it done since before I started the program.
Three years ago, hi Shannon.
My doctor is amazed at how good it is.
So happy, so concerns.
No concerns across the board.
That's fantastic.
That's your hard work paying off.
That's your hard work paying off. That's your hard work paying off.
I love that.
I love that.
What an amazing journey so far.
So many non-scale victories.
Made my first goal last Friday.
Signed up for the next program a while ago.
I love that manifesting and already on my way
to achieve more non-scale victories.
Really looking forward to my next program.
Yes, yes, yes.
That's it.
Get excited about where you're at, right?
I hope you're, if you're listening, if you're watching, you know, take a minute,
be really proud of yourself.
I know I've said that so many times throughout the program, but actually,
truly this final week, celebrate yourself.
This is no easy feat, man.
The living method does not fuck around.
It gets a lot to still be here at the end.
And it's really exciting no
matter where you are. Please don't judge by what's going on in the scale. Judge by
the fact that you are here at this point. You're gonna reach your goal. You're
gonna lose your weight. There is no reason why you can't. Just no matter
continuing showing up, figuring out what you specifically need to work on and do.
Sending love to you guys from anyone from Thailand. Yeah I mean we are all
over the world at this point. The from Thailand. Yeah, I mean, we are all over the world
at this point. The earthquakes there, Tony and I have been watching some of the footage sending
love. Man, there's always something going on in the world. And even if you're not there and
experiencing it, you know, watching it on TV, knowing loved ones, there's always a lot going
on in our lives. And what I love about the living method is it's not just weight loss.
It isn't just you trying to lose weight. And there's nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight, right?
And feel more confident, comfortable in your body. Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting
to look good in your jeans. Nothing wrong with that. But the living method is so much
more. It's about helping you truly live your best life. It is about, you know, prioritizing
yourself and making space for yourself in
your own life. While life is not making it easy for you, while you're taking care of
kids and juggling parents, whatever it is that your work, all of the stuff that you're
doing, what's happening in life, ice storms, earthquakes, all of that, your strongest,
most resilient self, right? Showing up day by day when life isn't making it easy for you.
Managing your stress when life gets stressful, right?
Your coping mechanisms, what's your go-to?
How do you deal with that when life gets stressful, right?
Trying to get the best night's sleep because that's how your body repairs and rebuilds
and takes care of itself.
That's going to help you live a long life, happy too at the end of the day.
You know, moving your body to build that strength.
I'm not just talking about how your ass looks in your jeans, be able to walk upstairs in
your jeans, sit down, right?
Move grip, have strength, be able to be independent.
All of these things be in tune, but pay attention to yourself so you are self-aware and you
can trust your gut and know what you need, you know.
Oh my goodness.
My daughter is gonna be doing the program too. She is prepped starting this week
and leading into the program, I love that.
So so many of you bringing friends and family back with you.
That's always fun.
So we have a new feature.
There's a new feature that Facebook is unrolling
in the groups where you can post anonymously
and ask questions anonymously,
which I think is really cool
because some people,
because they do bring friends and family,
if they want to ask a more personal question,
they feel nervous about doing so.
So this will be able,
I'm not sure how it works yet,
but it's going to be a feature
maybe when you're actually posting the question,
if you want to post it anonymously or not.
I've flipped on the feature in the group.
We don't actually have it for this group. It'll be in the spring program where if you want to
ask a question or post anonymously and you are in the group with friends and family, they will not
be able to see it. Obviously, there's a benefit to your friends and family knowing what you're
doing and where you're at. They're there to support you in their support group. But
I just thought that was really cool. Let's take a minute out to hear from our podcast sponsor today.
I mean, listen, we're always talking about how important it is to take care of your
skin. Your skin is your body's largest organ.
We also talk about the importance of creating routines, especially a nighttime
routine that can help us sleep.
But this one here is for the new moms because Aveeno has a product
for newborn babies. Skin is the first line of defense and baby skin is about 30 percent thinner
than our mature skin making it even more important to take action to help strengthen skin moisture
barrier. So using the power of oats as the hero ingredient, Avino Baby harnesses the power of oat
to help achieve skin hydration.
So if you're looking to learn more about how you can maintain
and strengthen your baby's skincare,
head over to the website, avino.ca, that's A-V-E-E-N-O.CA.
I didn't do that well this round.
I'll take the opportunity to follow the plan better
during the gap.
You know, Celine, I think you followed it great.
You know why?
Because I saw you reaching out numerous times throughout the program.
You were being active.
You were staying involved.
I mean, to me that is, you know, maybe not doing well scale wise, right?
But you had a lot going on and you reached out and you were very present.
You were very present in the program and in the group.
And I think that's something to be really proud of.
You can't do all the things all the time really, really well.
Sometimes it's just that you were present, self-aware, right?
Sometimes people are crushing the food part, but they're not even, they're just on autopilot.
And yeah, the scale is moving for them, but they're not doing the mental work,
which will catch up to you at some point, usually in maintenance. Usually people who just crush it,
crush it, crush it, crush it, lose, lose, lose, drop, drop, drop, done in one are like they have
a hard time in maintenance because that's when you got to start working through that shit.
Right? So I saw you, I saw you, I saw you, you were here, you were here.
It was August 2003 was the widespread power outage, right?
Across multiple provinces and states, right?
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah, December 13th, lost power for five days.
That was also another ice storm.
I was living on the lake and the big transformer blew.
And I, for some reason, I was living in this little tiny little cabin on the lake and the big transformer blew.
For some reason, I was living in this little tiny little cabin on the lake with the kids.
It's like a two-bedroom, I mean, one and a half bedroom with my four kids.
And we were like the only, we had power.
I don't know why.
That was Christmas.
I think it was Christmas.
And I remember we were going to Crispy were visiting friends and everyone was just like, bring whatever food you got because they couldn't
cook anything, refrigerators.
Like it was, yeah.
I think things like that bring people together.
Of course, tragic.
I mean, of course, if a tragedy happens, it's not like, you know what I'm saying, but you
know, it brings people together.
Will we still have access to the exercise videos in between programs?
I believe you will.
So Facebook is doing this weird thing in the group now where any live videos delete after
30 days, but all of our core videos, so those will remain in the Facebook support group.
Right now the way the app works, you have access to all that in between groups.
Eventually that will change slightly, but we're not there yet. So yeah, you still have
access to that. You still have access to that. This program I'm down about 10 pounds but not down
to my loss from another program which was six more. Almost there. I'm happy with this not as on point
but getting there and starting up again in the next one. I was upset in the past. I gained this
back but got lazy and went to Ireland for a holiday.
You can't put those two together.
Got lazy and went to Ireland for a holiday.
Couldn't resist the potatoes.
Oh, well, I'm hearing and feel good about myself.
I'm going to have a sip of coffee.
Excuse me for a second.
Step back is a setup for success.
A step back is a setup for success.
It is why do people gain weight back?
So we're gonna talk about that this week.
Three reasons.
One, they don't take time to solidify their weight.
That's why we have the maintenance program.
Do the maintenance program.
So what we used to do back in the day,
you just did another round of the weight loss program
to solidify your weight.
You've lowered your set point.
If this goes back to our very first Saturday Post,
your set point is the weight that your body comes accustomed to, not
where it's happy, but just where it lands. And after you do diets, you lose weight,
you gain more back, lose weight, more back, lose more back, lose more back. Other diets,
your set point, your body, your body catches on and realize it, it needs to
store excess amount of fat because you keep starving it. So your set point gets
really high. So you lose weight, you. So your set point gets really high.
So you lose weight, you plateau, new set point.
Lose weight, plateau, new set point.
Lose weight, plateau, new set point.
Other people on other diets, what do they do when they hit a plateau?
They eat even less, exercise even more.
It just causes the reinforcing of the fat.
So now that you reach your goal weight, right, that's your new set point.
You want to protect that.
You want to solidify it.
And so this is where before
you do another round of the program, but now we created a separate maintenance program
that's all geared on the pillars of maintenance that Ruth Kane shared with us for her researching
and studying the maintenance program, maintenance, people in maintenance. And this is your new
set point. And so you want to protect that and you want to allow your body at least three
months to adjust to your new weight before you start challenging it,
before you go back into old habits,
before you start challenging it, right?
And this is your size of your heart, your blood flow.
This is why you'll notice some of you are cold
after losing weight.
You'll have to do a whole circle.
It's a whole year actually, kind of maintaining your weight.
A whole year of going through different seasons,
like actual seasons, a whole year of different triggers,
all the holidays, birthdays, death days, celebratory days,
a whole year of going through, right?
Not being triggered or being triggered, learning how to cope,
might fall back into old habits, get back on track.
And so that's why you've got to work hard to solidify.
And not just physically, but also your mindset, right?
Because you've changed.
You're no longer a person losing weight anymore.
You're now a person maintaining your weight.
So not putting time into maintenance.
That's one reason people gave back is that then you're more likely to fall back.
If you're not solidifying your mindset, not solidifying your habits, you're more likely to fall back. If you're not solidifying your mindset, not solidifying your habits,
you're more likely to fall back.
Number two is not being mindful,
not checking in with yourself,
you don't gain 20 pounds and don't notice, right?
You don't gain six pounds and not notice, right?
Now, that doesn't mean that life is making it easy
for you to notice, and you may be also simultaneously
falling back into old patterns, like there's a lot going on,
travel, stuff like that.
The other is, what is the other one?
What the fuck is wrong with my brain today?
Remember why people gave me a bug.
One not dividing time into maintenance, big one.
Two, yeah, situational change.
Gosh, I don't know what's going on with my brain today.
Told you it's those hormones.
And yeah, I'm using that as an excuse.
I, I, I've earned it.
Um, situational change, which travel.
Situational change.
So you're used to your routine, you got it down,
and then situational change, your situation happens.
You are got a new job, pandemic happens, you are moving, you break up in a relationship.
So God forbid someone passes away some major life change in your life.
And then you fall back into old habits because you just you've never experienced this situational change before and you have a hard time adapting, which then brings it back to maintenance and
then brings it back to solidifying.
If you have solidify physically mentally that gives you a better chance at if sit at handling
a situational change and if you're mindful in general help.
So that's sort of how.
So I want to get back to you, Debbie.
You weren't lazy.
You're not lazy. You're not lazy.
You're not lazy. You did it perfectly. Because you learned, like what you said, right? Now you're going to, you're going to come back, start up again, with knowing your, I don't even want to
say weaknesses. That's not the word triggers a better understanding of yourself and what you need.
And so to me, you are experiencing everything that you need to experience in order to truly
reach your goal.
And sometimes you need to get set back or fall back, right, in order to set yourself
up for success.
So I'm a big believer in that.
I am such a big believer in that. Carp, carp mental lies. Tracy, thank you. I can't tell you how many times I got set
back in life and I do believe it's wise. I am as successful as I am and life keeps knocking
me back and I keep falling back and I keep being challenged in life because I'm not done
yet. I'm not done yet. And I got some big goals and I want to make and I keep being challenged in life because I'm not done yet.
I'm not done yet and I got some big goals and I want to make sure when I do accomplish,
I'm not going back in my life. I don't want to go back.
There's some things that happen in my life and places I've been to and mentally and physically
and I don't want to go back. I'm not going back there. I'm not going back there. I'm not going back there.
So life is just throwing me all the things that I need. Next group I'll be more present. I
have finished my courses and now I can focus on participating more 100%. I love that. Sometimes
everything aligns and it's just like, I, it just everything's perfectly aligned and sometimes you
have a program like that and then other times you don't. And so it's still worse. Someone said to me,
I'm going to be away for part of it and should I even bother? Absolutely you should bother. If you can just do, listen, 1% more of everything
in your life is going to make a difference and add up. 5%, 10%, it's going to add up.
It's going to keep you moving forward, right? 50%, 60%, Like it's not always about 100%.
Sometimes it's just bare minimum.
So I'm okay with bare minimum.
Sometimes it's, you know, today you're getting maybe, I'm trying.
I feel like I'm trying 120%.
I feel like what's coming across today is like maybe 10%.
Thanks for bearing with me. So it's not because I don't want to do better,
not because I'm not here and trying. It's just like, I don't know what's going on with me today.
I'm here for it, but my brain is, I don't know. I don't know where my brain is today.
I love this program. Trust it so much, but this time lots of things going on and stress and
problems that we didn't expect, but I'm still here.
Going well with the meals, but lack of sleep anxiety.
So my weight didn't move that much, but as soon as I have a bad night's sleep, I know
my weight's going to show that next morning.
Okay.
Love this.
Thanks for sharing, Marta.
Let's normalize this.
It's not about what you've accomplished.
To celebrate an inspire post is not about the weight.
You want to show before and after great.
I love seeing those.
It's always so inspiring. It's not about that. Remember all along I've said,
if you just make it to the end of the program, it's not about the scale. It's just really
about reflecting back at your life. If you are able to look back at your life and be
like, okay, that's what happened over the last three months. I mean, that's self-awareness.
That's like, that's cutting yourself some slack. That's showing yourself some grace, some kindness, some understanding.
Sometimes as much as we want to do, do, do, get, get, get, get, go, go, go, go, in our
minds we're so motivated sometimes to do that.
And then we're so hard on ourselves.
Why haven't you accomplished that yet?
Why aren't you doing that?
And then, you know, without really understanding what we're dealing with in our lives.
Like what's going on with me? And sometimes, you know, you really understanding what we're dealing with in our lives. Like what's going on with me?
And sometimes, you know, you're dealing with some really deep stuff, you just need a minute
with it.
And so I just I have mad respect.
I mad respect for anyone who is still here, even when they haven't had an easy go of it.
Right?
I have even more mad respect for people who don't finish the program and then keep coming back
because that's, keep going, keep trying.
This is the program.
This is a program you can keep doing and keep showing up.
And sometimes you're gonna crush it.
Sometimes maybe it's gonna be a wash.
Don't give up on yourself.
Don't give up on yourself.
How is a printed journal different
than the journal in the app?
Looking to change things up a little.
They're two totally different things.
The journal really is for people who like to put pen to paper
because there's some science behind doing that.
There's a place to write what you're grateful for,
your end of day reflections, midday check-ins.
That's just like a physical,
I wish I had it when it's coming today.
Sorry, I'm gonna sneeze in a minute.
The app, the journal is a journal.
And although there is place to journal in your app, it's the app guides you through
the program, right?
Like you're going to open up the app, it's going to have today's check in video, it's
going to have today's posts, You can review the post from there.
You can click directly into Facebook if you want, ask questions, join in the community.
You can link to the Facebook page.
You can track your weight and then not only check, track your weight, but there is like,
it'll give you a graph.
So you'll be able to eventually see all your ups and downs and plateaus and what weight
loss looks like to you.
You'll be able to track your fluids and then you'll be able to click into,
besides your fluids, how consistent you
were with drinking those fluids.
20%, 80%, right?
The same thing goes with the food plan,
how consistent you were with following.
So not just checking off you had protein,
although there is a place to add notes
if you had any extras or how you were feeling.
But you get that graph that shows how consistent you've been.
And then there is your intentions you'd set in the morning and then your midday check
and end of day reflections as well.
And then it adds up to give you a little running visual graph of how consistent you've been
with your day.
So that's an end.
It guides you through the changes.
So it guides you through all the different, whether it's downsizing, you're clicking off
or it's splitting up the meals and snacks.
When the program changes, the app changes.
So does the journal as well.
You can't really compare them two.
I don't know that I would use one over the other.
If you're not an app person, the journal is like the next best thing. Even if you are an app person,
it's not the same as putting pen to paper. So that's how I would describe it, I guess.
I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. You make your own notes. And then I like the book and making
like notes in my book as I go along. So
that's why I would say. I'm trying to get my mom to join. She says at 78, there's nothing
left for her to change, but there is. Can't force her. Just lead by example as both my
sister and I follow the program. Yeah, fuck that shit. I'm on my mom. She's 72, mom. Are
you watching? I don't know if she's watching because she might not have any power, but she just started working with a personal trainer over a year ago. She looks amazing.
She looks fantastic. I plan on dragging her ass around the world. I am not done with my mom,
and she better keep up. Though as soon as I say that I laugh because my mom can outrun me, I'm sure.
She's going to run me, outlast me I'm sure. She's gonna run me outlast me out drink me.
Man I also 78 is so not hey she's happy people are happy leave them alone right if they are
happy that is their journey you can't want to change them but I'm for I'm legit forcing my mom.
I'm like you better stick around lady I'm not done with you yet.
It teaches on, right?
It's tough, it's tough.
I want my mom to be here for me.
And then also my version of old is like 100 plus.
Like I wanna live to 125 at least.
So I gotta make sure I'm in good shape.
I fell off the face of the earth this program,
clung to the lives and I guess the guest experts
to stay somewhat connected.
Okay.
Sorry, I got some nose issues happening today.
Can I just say the guest experts worth the price of admission alone?
That's it.
Drop the mic.
Honest to God.
Our guest experts, their concentrated amount of time
with a specific focus on knowing exactly where you are at, it is so like that alone,
that alone is worth the price of admission. That in itself is so worth it. I mean, you get, you pay for these master classes or whatever, not cheap, by the way.
And they're like talking about this or talking about that.
And there are little points and little things that kind of like resonate with your life.
But this is a concentrated focus on where, and the conversation is different every time.
It's the same, but different every time.
And we need that repetitiveness.
We need to understand.
We need to hear it over and over and over before it really resonates, right?
And then becomes who we are.
Our guest experts alone, what you are learning, if you just did nothing
and listen to the guest experts, you are learning.
That is something.
That is something.
I don't know about the lives.
I do my best. I do my best. That in itself is so huge. That in itself is so huge. You can't fail
if you don't quit. That's so true. Hanging on to my non-scale victories that my eight maintained
despite the massive stress. That's huge joy. Taking some time out between groups to reevaluate and
come back with my head fully back on the game. This is you y'all this is not giving up on yourself. That's what this conversation
about is today. Not giving up on yourself. You can do it. You will get there. You will reach your
goals. There is no reason why you can't. There are a lot of reasons why life makes it difficult.
There's maybe a lot of reasons physically, mentally that you're dealing with that make
it harder, but there is no reason why you can't get there.
You don't want to get to your end of days and look back at all the time you spent on
trying to lose weight.
At least with this program, this is bettering yourself physically, making you healthier,
mentally, making you healthier, making you healthier stronger helping you
prioritize do all the things right this is the one program not going to go look oh I
really wish I hadn't learned and become more in tune in myself I really wish I hadn't tried
to get more sleep and manage your stress and move my body right at the end of the day you're already doing so much, so much just by being here.
Well when I go out for walks I can replay the guest experts, right? They're amazing.
Yeah there's not another program like this who has important guest experts.
There's not another program like this that actually wants you to be done with your weight loss program.
wants you to be done with your weight loss program.
A lot of diets do not want you to actually be done with your weight loss program.
I actually I want you to be done losing weight.
I want you to go and do the maintenance program.
I do.
Yes, there's a cost to it.
It will be well worth it.
You need to solidify your weight.
Trust me.
It's a whole other can of worms because I want you to understand
what you need to not fall back into old habits and I want to get you to a place where you can
just live your life.
That's where we want you to go.
We do have incredible guest experts.
