Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Gina Livy and welcome to the Livy Method podcast. This is where you'll have access to all of the live streams from my 91 day weight loss program. With a combination of daily lives, guest expert interviews and member stories, there is something new almost every day. Miss the morning live? Want to re-listen to one of our amazing guest experts? Well, this is the place. This podcast is hosted on Acast, but it's available on all podcast platforms, including the one you're listening to right now, Spotify, Apple,
Starting point is 00:00:31 and Amazon Music. I want to take a quick minute out here to introduce to you our new podcast sponsor, and we are so aligned. I'm excited about this one. It's Joe Fresh, known for great value. So you know you are getting great quality for the price point as well as stylish everyday essentials. So they want you to know about their new activewear collection that they just launched that includes three new support levels. So something for everybody, which is really neat. Their everyday line is their light support level, buttery soft pieces, perfect for low key activities. Then their balance line is their more medium support level, perfect for things like yoga or Pilates, soft fabric that moves with you. And then there's their momentum line. Okay, come on,
Starting point is 00:01:17 don't tell me that's not an amazing name. That's for more of their medium to high level support for more intense workouts. That's going to be fabric that like moves with you through every rep. However you choose to move, Joe Fresh has you covered and Joe Fresh has a promo code for you. I love this. So all you have to do is use the code LiviMethod25 when you check out online at joefresh.com or through the Joe Fresh app. Right? Amazing. Hello, hello. 87 of the program. Okay. Are you going to follow through and lose your weight finally and forever? Let me ask you again. Are you going to get this done? Are you going to follow through? Are you going to
Starting point is 00:02:05 finish? Are you going to finish? Are you just going to keep trying to lose weight for the next rest of your life? Do you feel confident in next steps? Do you know what plan? What do you need? That's the conversation. What do you need? Let us know. Where are you at? Do you have questions about next steps? My goal for everyone who signed up for this program is to make it to the end. Make it to the end. Because I know if you are here and you've made it to the end of this 91 day program, you can make it to the end of your weight loss journey. I am sure your takeaway at this point is, wow, there is so much more to losing your weight in a way you're going to be able to maintain and live your life than you ever even dreamed of. There is so much to it. But there's also a lot of support here. There's a lot of education here.
Starting point is 00:03:06 There's a lot of people willing to show up and share their knowledge to give you the tools that you need to succeed. This week has been all about, or the last couple of weeks, making sure you feel confident in next steps. You should have a plan moving forward. Are you going to continue to focus on losing weight throughout the summer? Or are you kind of wavering on that? And you're just like, I'm just going to enjoy my summer and I'm just going to maintain my weight. What is your plan for the fall? Have you signed up for our
Starting point is 00:03:37 fall program? This isn't a sales thing. This is a, what is your plan moving forward and how can we help best support you. So we've had a lot of conversations. When you're in the program, sometimes you can't see the forest from the trees because you're in the program. So it can be a great idea to spend some time reviewing some of our guest segments, our spill the tea conversations, some of the lives throughout the summer. If you got some free time, they're all available on our Livvy Mothad podcast. You can download and listen to them. So I want you to spend the next couple of days. This is taking long. I'm going to get it done. Yes, I will get it done. It's taking longer than I wanted, but I will get it done.
Starting point is 00:04:18 I think everything in life, at least everything in my life has taken a lot longer than I ever wanted. It's a lot longer than I ever wanted. But it's not going to stop me. It's not going to stop me from showing up and doing all the things that I can do to get there. Good morning. I'm behind in the group. I am on day 51.
Starting point is 00:04:34 I want to finish this round. I joined Bridging the Gap in the fall program. Have a great day. Love that. So the best way to do that is continue to use your Living Method app that connects you to the information in the Facebook support group day to day. And then of course, pop into our Bridging the Gap group if you have any questions that you want one of our amazing program specialists to answer.
Starting point is 00:04:53 I'm going to be going live, not every day, not checking in every day, but I'm definitely going to be around in the Bridging the Gap group. I'm just trying to find some times. I'm thinking maybe Monday, Wednesday morning, Tuesday, Thursday evening, checking in, going live, having fun, definitely more relaxed, but still very serious about helping you reach your weight loss goals. Now, whether you're continuing to lose weight over the summer or you're just want to maintain both, you got to take both serious.
Starting point is 00:05:20 You want to be serious about both. You worked really hard to make the changes that you've made. A big part of that is not just continuing with the food plan, but continuing to reinforce the habits. You know, you work through those old habits. You created new ones. Hi, Joanne. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:05:33 I hit my goal today, down 27.9 pounds, signed up for maintenance in the fall. I love that. Dave Stewart, good morning. Let's do this. I've had my polar bear dip and I'm ready to be sworn. Gina, I'm finishing like a star. Hey, Dave, you know, I'm here for you. I'm here for you for sure. Good morning. Hi, Victoria. We're almost done. I have more work to do, but I'm on my way to finally in February. This is what I want you to do today. I want you to take some time and think about your plan before we're kind of like end of
Starting point is 00:06:07 the program, summer's whatever. I've been hearing some chatter about people concerned about the summer. I'm going to continue to do the things through the summer. I know with the heat, I might not see much movement on the scale and that's okay. I feel too good to go back to the way I used to eat. Yes, this. Reinforce nails house. So let me talk to you about this whole scale thing, summer and the heat. Summer is a great time to lose weight.
Starting point is 00:06:32 It's a great time to lose weight. Even if that scale is up, you can still lose the weight. Your body's releasing the fat. It's just that in the heat, our body expands. So it's not like you're not going to lose or it's not like it's not worth doing just because of the heat and the scale being up because your weight can be up in the heat and then also on the way down at the same time. So absolutely you can lose weight in the summer. It's just that when I say I don't run like a proper summer weight loss program, like a 91 days through the summer, it's because I'll have new people who don't run like a proper summer weight loss program, like a 91 days through the summer, it's because I'll have new people who don't understand fluctuations on the scale in general, let alone in the summertime, if we're in the midst of a heat wave, right? Everyone be like,
Starting point is 00:07:15 oh my God, no, I'm not losing weight. I'm like gaining weight. And they're not really gaining weight. Their weight is just going up from the heat. But summer, make no mistake, summer is a great time to focus on losing weight. Great time to focus on losing weight. Hi, Risa. Got my butt up earlier and went to the gym. Yeah, girl, I see you. Just heading to Starbucks to enjoy my breakfast, coffee, and of course, listening to the conversation. Stay hydrated. It is hot. So it seems like there's a bit of a break in the heat a little bit today, but this is what they said about the summer. It's going to be extreme, lots of heat and apparently lots of rain. Thinking about all y'all who have flooded basements today. Here, I'm just sort of north of Toronto, but I actually came back yesterday and it was raining
Starting point is 00:08:02 and part of the DVP and streets were flooded. So it took me forever to get home. But today, a lot of Toronto, I mean, Burlington was underwater the day before. A lot of Toronto is underwater. At least it was all day yesterday. I know a lot of you are dealing with flooded basements. So I'm sending you love. That is not fun. That is not a fun way to get your summer underway. That's for sure. I had a long walk in the heat. My feet are sore and the scale is up. It was expected. Yeah, you can feel it, right? You can feel it in your body. That's one of the things you can focus on this summer is like really paying attention to how you're feeling physically, right? What's going on with your body? Yeah, we didn't have power for 12 hours yesterday. Hi,
Starting point is 00:08:40 Jasmine, right? My goodness. Reintroduce myself to the scale this week. It's been one of part of the program that I have not been very consistent with. Okay. So I was just going to say, get to know your body. And I talked about yesterday, maybe try guessing the number on the scale before you even get on the scale. Like take a minute and be like, okay, what do I, based on how I feel. And then, you know, if you feel puffy or whatever, oh, it's the heat or yesterday I had, you know, some salty foods, margarita rims, whatever, I don't
Starting point is 00:09:08 know. How do I feel? Try guessing your weight, guessing your weight. Or in your case, if you, underwater like my investments and my weight loss target. Get your shit together, Dave. The fuck you doing? Get your shit together. Get your shit together. Get back to pulling things together. Get back to pulling things together. If you reflect back on the program and when you really felt like things were moving and grooving, what were you doing? It is so easy to drop the balls and you're juggling so many of those balls, right? Taking your supplements, getting your water in, trying to maximize your efforts, trying to get better sleep, trying to minimize your stress or address your stress, handle your stress, survive your stress. It's so easy to drop some
Starting point is 00:09:58 of the balls, setting your intentions, end of day reflections, getting on that scale, right? And then sometimes you don't have the capacity and it's like, I don't even want to get on the scale because I don't even want to face what's going on the scale. So this is your opportunity to regroup, right? Regroup, regroup. Feeling my fattest this week, but hopefully it's what Gina says. I'm here and keep going, not letting it bother me. So it can be the heat. Also, don't forget, if you have been doing the things, it is normal for your weight to not only be up before your weight drops, but for you to feel bloated and gross and just kind of like, you know what I mean? Like, you're just like, I'm not really, I'm not like feeling my best.
Starting point is 00:10:35 I'm doing all of these things. Why am I feeling kind of fattier and just kind of bleh? That's, that's very normal as your weight's about to drop. So don't forget about the basics. Don't forget about the basics. Hi, Jennifer. I was reflecting on this round and decided I'm calling this my comeback round. Yeah. Every round, think about this is fun because I do this. This is 21 rounds for me. This is my 21st program. You guys have seen it all. Yeah. You guys, I have been through it all in those 21 groups. I have been like my rockstar best South, South, South, my rockstar best South. Finishing strong around here. I've been my rockstar best. This is my best self. This is it. This is it. I mean, I've been through so much, uh, with you. If you, if my life has been, and I know it's not like, I'm not the only one. There's been people on my team been going
Starting point is 00:11:42 through hard times. I know a lot of you have been going through hard times. So each program is like this different, it's the same but different, right? It's the same stuff over and over, but life is different. And it's how to continue to do the things that you need to do when life is switching things up on you and challenging you for sure. Speaking of sore feet, I went, I have, I have a fabulous nail girl, Alina. Um, and, uh, she's always so good to me that she's like my therapy. I go in there. Well, it's not really therapy cause I don't say anything. I just kind of like sit in a,
Starting point is 00:12:15 like a massage chair and, and, um, I've been going to see her for about five, six years now. Anyway, she gave me this amazing reflexology massage. I don't know if you guys do reflexology. I've never had it like done, but she does, she does this amazing like foot massage thing. I think I'm going to, I'm going to get a reflexologist or go try to see one. I think it's the heat, same thing, right? Standing on your feet, walking around, feet are swelling up. If you guys know any good ones in the area, let me know. Let me scroll down. Let me scroll down. Hi, Suzanne. One thing I realized this morning, not only am I calmer around food, but I'm a much calmer person. Oh, I love that. Overall, spent decades being wound so tight. And I now know that that's a huge change for me. Second flood in my basement in three months, stressed.
Starting point is 00:13:05 No, that's not me. Well, not the old me. This is the new you. This is the changes that you've made. The calming down the nervous system, being more resilient when stress is hitting you, being more grounded, being stronger, not just physically, mentally, but internally, right?
Starting point is 00:13:21 Like that feeling that, okay, I got this. I can handle this. I can do this. You know, I can do this. I love that. That's a massive non-scale victory to get to that point, to get to that point. I had the Shingrix vaccine yesterday and started to feel like crap a few hours later. I know there was an inflammation because I can feel it. Yeah, that's a, would be an inflammatory response to that. So I expected the scale to be up, but it was, but not as much as I expected. So that was nice. Also, cholesterol is down, as is my A1C, and my doctor is interested in the Livi method. I still feel like crap today, but we'll take the wins. That is great wins. Cholesterol being down, A1C down, you know, this is like the living method is like how to help your body get
Starting point is 00:14:05 systematically healthier 101 and a very systematic in a way that builds without putting that stress on your body. And then also the 91 days, the reason why the 91 days is that's enough time for your body to change, for you to make actual change. We talked about this with Dr. Sean Rice, right? He's a plastic surgeon. We talked about skin takes time. It takes at least 91 days to start regenerating around your new frame. Everything takes longer than we want. But when you are systematically doing the things to help your body level up, optimize, make change, repair, rebuild, also give it the resources in order to make that change. It's
Starting point is 00:14:45 amazing what can happen. So people want to see change real quick. And then the way they change is so stressful. I'm doing this now. I'm doing that now. I'm doing this, this, changing this, switching this out, not do that's not working. Now I'm doing this. And that can be very stressful on the body. So you can be doing all of these healthy things, but you're stressing your body out at the same time. Spill the tea with Christine inspired me. Never give up, never surrender. So yesterday, Christine Texera joined me for my spill the tea conversation. And you know what I love about her? She was so calm. She was just like, yeah, I'm in maintenance. Like her, she lost 80 pounds with the living method.
Starting point is 00:15:21 It took her five programs. It wasn't easy peasy. So I don't want you thinking, oh, she was just, it was like so easy for her. We picked someone who it was so easy. No, not the case at all. She did five programs. She lost 80 pounds. And then she did two programs to solidify her weight. And now she's in maintenance. And of course, that's the conversation today, right?
Starting point is 00:15:39 Options for maintenance. What are you going to do moving forward? You're going to join the maintenance group. And then we also got a maintenance program that we're going to run in September. And then we, did you have some Baileys in our coffee this morning? I did not. I drank, you guys know, I'm doing the whole, I'm trying to minimize my alcohol. It's not, because it's not sitting well with me. So I've been doing pretty good on that, minimizing.
Starting point is 00:16:09 I'm going to say minimizing it, not stop drinking it. But the team, every time I saw, I drank so many, I drank 4,000 margaritas on the weekend with the team. And talk about feeling bloated and blah, oh my God. But now I'm starting to feel better. I also swam every day. We went for walks, drank lots of water, came back and go for a swim today. So no, I do not have Bailey's in my coffee because I drank enough margaritas this weekend to last a lifetime, to last a lifetime. I think that's why my voice is like this. I wish I had Bailey's in my coffee. Let me get back to
Starting point is 00:16:40 talking about Christine. So Christine has been in maintenance for a year. And I just asked her a bunch of questions. What I love is that she's so calm and matter of fact about where she is now. And I think it's a beautiful, very inspiring conversation to watch or listen to. Because even if you're not even close to maintenance, that is where you want to go. And my favorite part is when she talked about being calm, calm around foods, just calm about choices, calm every day. And that's where I want to get you. I know there's a lot of chatter happening in your brain, especially during your weight loss journey. And for years previously, right, there's a lot of, you know, you're unsure,
Starting point is 00:17:19 maybe you don't trust it. There's a lot of feels like you losing weight is one thing. And then you get into maintenance. It's a whole other can of worms. It's a whole other can of worms maintenance. That's why you definitely want to take your maintenance real serious. And she has such an inspiring conversation because she was so calm about the whole thing. If you haven't had an opportunity, I would highly suggest you take some time. Take some time, take some time to listen to that conversation. The last time I hit a summer where I was frustrated because the weight would climb. This time it's definitely the heat that is addressing the number on the scale, keeping my head down and digging deep. Yeah. My body is just my, my, sorry, my weight will go up
Starting point is 00:18:01 like 10 pounds in the heat. I had to take, you know, like my watch, like this, look at my watch. Normally my watch, like I could move it and it's loose on me. It's just, I even took it off last night. I'm going to take it off again. I don't look at that. I even have a watch mark. Normally the thing hangs on me like a bracelet and it's like a watch mark. I've just always been really sensitive to fluctuations. That's one of the things I asked her. I asked her today, yesterday, what was one of the things I asked her. I asked her today, yesterday, what was one of the things that surprised you most about being in maintenance? And she said how much your weight continues to fluctuate in maintenance. And that's because your weight always fluctuates. Your weight is always going to continue. Your weight in the
Starting point is 00:18:41 heat always went up. You just might not have noticed it if you weren't getting on the scale every day. So your weight is going to continue to fluctuate. Ooh, it was when I realized I was thinking, yay, we get a few weeks off the diet that I realized that I needed to sign up for the summer club and did. Guess I'm not there yet mentally. Helen, right? First of all, we're going to have some fun. We're going to have some fun. You're going to continue the learning. What are you really doing? Continuing to prioritize yourself, being mindful about your food choices, right? Strengthen that mind-body connection, helping your body manage the stress, trying to get best sleeps, trying to move your body. I mean, it's all things that benefit you regardless of what's going on the scale in your weight loss
Starting point is 00:19:22 goal. There's summers come and go. This can be an opportunity to, how am I going to navigate the summer, right? That you can still have fun and move the dial on that scale. I get, you know what? Because people will say, oh, I just need to take a break. And I'll be like, take a break from what? Take a break from the routine, from what is it that you want to take a break from. It could be the way that you're communicating with yourself. If you're berating yourself, if you're hard on yourself, if you're stressing yourself out, if you're getting on that scale and it's causing a lot of feelings, it could mean that you need to take a break. It could also mean that what you want to do is reframe your expectations and your mindset in the summertime. Just like you go away on
Starting point is 00:20:04 vacation, you don't have to say, well, fuck it. I'm just going to eat all the things, see how much damage I can do and then fix it when I get back. You can be like, okay, I'm going to just make sure I make choices that make me feel good. I want to feel my best, look my best when I'm on vacation. So I'm going to do things that make me feel good. And that is having the margarita, but also focusing on the water, right? Having the, I don't know, the margarita, but also focusing on the water, right? Having the, I don't know, waffles for breakfast, but trying to get those leafy greens in for lunch, you know, try just enjoying all the drinks in the sun, but maybe going for a swim, doing some laps of the pool or getting up and going for a walk in the morning.
Starting point is 00:20:37 And so the summer is a great opportunity to kind of look at because you cannot go back to the life that you lived before because you were a direct product of that lifestyle and the way that you were living and how you were navigating your summer. But what can you do? So rather than be the person who shows up to the party with just the booze, which, okay, you can still do that. You could be the person who comes up with a veg tray or the fruit tray, right? Like if you're always bringing the sex in the pan dessert, right? If you don't know what that is, my mom used to make that all the time. It's like a chocolatey caramel. It's so good. She hasn't made it in a long time though, but it's the only dessert
Starting point is 00:21:13 I knew she made. So that's the only one I know. Sex in the pan. Hi mom. You know, show up with, say, I'll bring the fruit, I'll bring the veggies, I'll bring a salad. Bring a salad, right? Get in the habit of drinking that water along the way. So this is your opportunity this summer to figure out how to navigate. Hang on just a second. Bye, buds. Have fun. Be safe.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Bye. Sorry. I screamed at you guys. My son's going to, we have this beach north of where I live called Wasaga Beach. So he's going there with friends. They're jumping in a car, they're packing foods, um, running around, of course, last minute looking for towels and whatnot, which he'll probably leave at the beach. Um, he's off to Wasaga beach. He's at that age. I'm worried. I worry. I'm trying not to worry about him, you know, cause he's like 17 and he's got friends that drive and he's so responsible. So responsible. Probably my most responsible kid, but it makes me nervous.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Makes me nervous. Hi, Kimberly. Realizing more this morning that as much as I love cold breakfast cereal, it doesn't love me as much if I've had it two mornings in a row for a super fast breakfast and just leave me feeling gross. Yeah. Right? Try eggs. Boiled eggs. Um, try eggs, boiled eggs, get some boiled eggs, pop them, you know, peel like easy, peel them, peel them, pop them in
Starting point is 00:22:32 your mouth. Good to go. And this is an opportunity to make some, maybe try some different types of breakfast, right? Um, maybe change up, change up your morning routine. That's so, it's so bright. So early these days, maybe get up, go for a walk, try to create some peace and some quiet and some time. Hi Rhonda, first round, I signed up and listened to one live and quit. Yeah. Look at you now. Second round, that's so normal. That's so like, it's, this is so much. It, I totally get that. Second round crushed and got to goal. Third round up and down and solidifying my weight, but got into some bad habits, decide to go for a new goal for next fall round. I love that. Got into some bad habits or fell back into old habits. That's the question,
Starting point is 00:23:19 right? So easy to do that. But sometimes we just go along with our old habits and then we start making new habits. It's so easy to fall back into our old habits. We might not recognize that they weren't working for us until we fall back into them. Then we're like, oh shoot, that's how I, okay. Yeah, that's how I used to cope. Oh, that's how I handled that. Okay. That's not really working for me. That's not really setting me up for success in terms of how I want to look and feel every day, right? Sex in a pan. Sounds uncomfortable. Dave, you're on fire today. Don't even know why they call it that. It's good. It's like creamy, chocolatey. It's good stuff. It's good stuff. Maybe my mom will post the recipe. Probably not. But maybe she will. I want to take a quick minute out here to introduce to you our new podcast sponsor. And we are so aligned. I'm excited about this one. It's Joe Fresh, known for great value.
Starting point is 00:24:18 So you know you are getting great quality for the price point as well as stylish everyday essentials. Okay, come on, don't tell me that's not an amazing name. That's for more of their medium to high level support
Starting point is 00:24:54 for more intense workouts. That's going to be fabric that like moves with you through every rep. However you choose to move, Joe Fresh has you covered. And Joe Fresh has a promo code for you. I love this. So all you have to do is use the code LIVIMETHOD25 when you check out online at joefresh.com or through the Joe Fresh app. Right? Amazing. Two huge non-scale victories this week. Hyde Dale celebrating a birthday, passed on cake twice.
Starting point is 00:25:25 I got to say it was pretty tough, but riding the high of weight loss and not ready to blow it. You know, listen, have the cake on your birthday. It's not going to stop you from reaching the goals. Also choose not to have the cake if you don't want to have the cake because having the cake can, you know, trigger like sugar. Maybe you like, you know, you just, you kind of just want to keep it together. I love that. I love that. I mean, we're all grownups. We have cake. You can have cake next week or the week after the week after, if you want, right? You can have cake whenever you want it. You can have cake whenever you want that. I love that for you. I love that for you. Oh, do, do, do, do, do,
Starting point is 00:26:00 do, do, do, do. So nice to see the sun this morning after yesterday's storm and blackout. 6.5 hours without power. Yes. Crazy traffic. I couldn't even drive away from it. Yeah. It was like people were literally driving. It was like people had to leave their cars on the highway. We have this amazing highway called the DVP. And the last time was too, I was like, didn't this just happen last week? But it was 2013. 2013 was the last time we had a big flood. We had to save people who were on buses and all sorts of stuff. It was crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Progress over perfection, Lynn. Hi, Lynn. Hello. We can do this. We are doing this. You are doing this. And this is why I want you to take some time and think of your plan moving forward. What is your plan? What is your mindset? Are you going to follow through and finish? We had that conversation with Warren and Melanie. First of all, Warren hit 100 pounds
Starting point is 00:26:56 down, you guys. If you have not had an opportunity to share with him some congratulations. He hit a hundred pounds down. We had him on our spill the tea, um, two weeks ago and they did their first program, crushed it. And then the summer came and then they, they just went back into the old mindset and then weight came back on. Of course, now they both, they're doing amazing. And Warren is now down a hundred pounds. I also want to shout out to Bev as well. Bev hit a hundred pounds down. We've had more than
Starting point is 00:27:30 a few people join the hundred pound down club. This group, it's been a big group for that. I think it's really like we're doing some group, like we're doing more groups now. People are accumulating, they're showing up. Are you going to reach that 100 pounds down? Are you going to reach your 20-pound goal, your 10-pound goal, whatever that might be for you? What is your plan for that moving forward? What's your plan for that? What is your plan for that? What is your plan? Seeing the friend who recommended this program to me today, her sister was on it at the time.
Starting point is 00:28:04 I am so grateful to her. Oh, that's so great. 95% of our members come to us through referral. I was like, I can't even with that. It's all you, all of you who I love. I believe sharing is caring. I'm a big sharing is caring person. And when I find good stuff, I let people know if I know like I, I love shit. That's how I find all the cool shit in my life is that people usually tell me about it. And that's why I'm asking about the reflexologist. If you guys know any good one in the Toronto area, I'm into that. But 95%, that's like amazing. I'm just, we're super grateful for you spreading the word. We are starting to do marketing. We're starting to actually do proper marketing. I can't be the
Starting point is 00:28:48 number one weight loss company in the world without people knowing about it. And although word of mouth is amazing, we're starting to do some advertising and stuff, starting to kind of move into more of the US, working on our worldwide campaigns and whatnot. But thank you to everyone who has ever shared the program with someone that they know and love. It's a good, it's a, and you know, here's, I want to talk about that for a minute, because this isn't a time where people will be asking you. It is really important to me to run a program that you are proud of sharing, right? Like diets can be weird. The conversation is weird. Dieting can be really unhealthy physically, mentally for people. And so in knowing that 95% of our members come through referral, it's not lost on me like that you've given a referral about this program
Starting point is 00:29:40 to somebody. And so I am always on a mission to make sure that I'm doing you proud, that it is a safe, solid sound program that you can feel really good about, you know, promoting, suggesting to your friends and family. And so I do take that responsibility very seriously, very seriously. I do want you to know that. I do. I take weight loss seriously too. Fifth program and reached my final goal weight. Hi, Lana. It definitely was a feeling, not a number. Yes. Hubby and I are taking a little trip from Alberta to Niagara Falls to celebrate in August. Might even pop into Tanya's Yaya store for some retail therapy. Love that. Well, let us know when you're in town. Let us know when you're in town. I love Niagara Falls. It's so fun. There's like wine. There's like a wine country, which is so nice. And then there's, of course, what's that? Clifton Hill.
Starting point is 00:30:33 I love myself some Clifton Hill. I love like going to the Ripley's Museum, the haunted houses, the fun stuff. It's a hoot. It's such a great time. It's such a great time. Such a great time. Hi, Suzanne. No red wine for me since July 22nd. I know that it makes me sound like I had a drinking problem. No, no, it doesn't at all that, you know, when you pour your drink that you can quote the date with pride and excitement. I know. Listen, stop. Listen, there's some people like, I also don't talk about minimizing alcohol lately. Like I know for some people, it's a real struggle. For some people, it is a real, real struggle to not drink every day.
Starting point is 00:31:10 So I want to be really respectful of that. But it's not an easy thing. When you love your wine socially, I also don't want to discredit how difficult it can be just out of routine socially to minimize your alcohol intake. We're all starting to recognize that, you know, how we feel when we do drink. There are more and more studies coming out talking about the detriments of alcohol in general. They'll say alcohol is going to be like the new smoke and we're going to look back on alcohol in 10 years and be like, why were we doing that? But with that said, I'm in this place where I do love my red wine. Do you love my red wine? Not saying I will drink red wine again, but right now I'm
Starting point is 00:31:50 definitely feeling physically pretty good not having it. Wondering if that has something to do with my condometer. Yeah. And so alcohol can really mess with your sleep and it can really mess with your hormones. It can really mess with your microbiome and your digestive system. And it can cause a lot of inflammation in your body. And you will notice and feel it when you are really in tune, right? When you are really in tune, really in tune. Who's this saying this? I lost 45 pounds through all the programs so far. I saw my mom and she has not noticed or said anything. And she comments on everything. No filter.
Starting point is 00:32:30 So, yeah. I mean, we've had members who've lost like 80 pounds and their best friends didn't say anything. I think it's something that either they just don't want. If they've seen you lose before, maybe they don't want to jinx it. I know that's such a weird thing to say, but I've had people say, well, I just didn't want to jinx it. I'm like, jink? What the fuck? Are you jinx it?
Starting point is 00:32:51 It's so weird. I think it's about, also, it's weird to comment on people's weights now. It's the thing. But that's more of a thing with the younger generation, not sort of the older. Like you said, she says comments on anything and everything. I don't know. It's, it's weird. It could be like, she just, I don't know. Why don't you ask her and just be like, Hey, I lost 40, 45 pounds. Did you not notice what's going on? And then she might be like, well, I'm concerned or I'm worried, or I don't know, didn't want to jinx it or something like that. And then there's an opportunity to be like,
Starting point is 00:33:24 it's okay. I get, I understand. I can understand jinx it or something like that. And then there's an opportunity to be like, it's okay. I get, I understand. I can understand where you're coming from, right? I am concerned too about losing, about maybe gaining my weight back. But that's why I'm going to work really hard. I found a program I'm going to do differently. I've made some real lifestyle changes. And this is your opportunity to say, say, so you know that like, you know, that lasagna that you make or that thing that you make, or you know how you're always telling, trying to shove food down my throat. I'm really trying really hard here. So
Starting point is 00:33:48 maybe if we can work together, it could be an opportunity to open up the conversation to other things, you know? It could be, it could be, it could be, it could be, it could be, it could be. Who's that? Good old Wasaga. We were 10 and biking there from the cottage at Woodland Beach. Our parents didn't care. Oh, I know. Right?
Starting point is 00:34:12 So, yeah. I mean, I come from that generation where we just leave the house all day. Like, I ride my bike to Toronto. What? You know? I mean, played in creeks, you know, built forts out of, you know, nails and saws that I probably shouldn't have had. Did all sorts of stuff. I'm surprised I survived. I love when my child has independence. Christy Boyd, four kiddos left for New York this morning after their flights
Starting point is 00:34:40 got canceled because of the weather chaos yesterday. Have fun and stay safe. Every mama's best words when they adventure away from home. Yeah. And then I'm like, oh, should I tell him not to go? And I'm like, what am I doing? Of course, let him let the kid go. I could just wrap him in a big kind of, you know, virtual safety blanket and just hope for the best. He's a smart kid. He's a smart kid. He's a smart kid. It's hard though. It's hard though. I am shocked how fast my body bounced back after my vacation. Hi, Erica. I was up two pounds when I came back last week, did back on track for a few days. My weight went right back down and I almost lost and I also lost another. Can I just repeat this 10 times for everyone who's feeling ways about the summer
Starting point is 00:35:20 vacation? I am shocked. I am not, but I'm not just saying. How fast my body bounced back after my vacation. I was up two pounds when I came back last week, did back on track for a few days and my weight went right back down. Also lost another pound. This is because vacations can be great. The change of routine, even if your weight is up, can be down. Also, it's a great challenge for your body at this point to step up. And I'm not surprised that your weight is back down as well. I am so grateful for this program and the supportive community. I'm actually excited to get to the fall program to see what I can do. Ah, it's a whole lot. And that, this is why it's so much more than just losing your weight. It's going on vacation and being able to maintain your weight. It's about celebrating and be able
Starting point is 00:36:04 to maintain your weight. It's about life getting chaotic and being able to maintain your weight. It's about celebrating and be able to maintain your weight. It's about life getting chaotic and being able to maintain your weight. It's about big things happening with big fields and being able to maintain your weight so much more. I love this for you that you were able to experience that because every time you do that, you then are going to reinforce that when you are done reaching your goal, you are also going to be able to maintain it through life. Not that it's going to be like, you know, a magic pill, but you are acquiring the skills and your body, you're losing weight in a different way. You're not starving it and depriving it and forcing it to burn fat that it'll feel like it needs to gain right away back again,
Starting point is 00:36:39 because it needs it because you starved it and deprived it off. This is a totally different thing. This is actually moving the dial on the set point. This is giving your body the resource it needs so it no longer feels the need to store fat. This is helping your body release that fat. This is mentally working through issues with food, your associations with food, your triggers, your traumas, your coping mechanisms, how you relate to food, how you utilize food, all of that, right? It's actually making a big difference. You are actually changing who you are physically and mentally.
Starting point is 00:37:11 You're changing how you're showing up in the world, the energy, right? The way you walk, the way you move, how you think, how you feel, all of it. And I just love when you get to really experience in moments like that, how your hard work is paying off. It's so deep. It is so deep. It is so deep. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:37:33 I'm having a hard time working through my associations and habits. Wouldn't it be amazing if you could do a case study with Dr. Beverly and a real person? Having sessions recorded to actually see how it is done. I would put my hand up to be a case study on working through the real associations over a series of podcasts. That would be so helpful for us to see how it'd be done and what tools and techniques to use. Well, the thing about this is everybody is different and she has given us the tools, but I'm actually working on, so just like I am doing, so I'm doing that whole menopause add-on with Dr. Olenka.
Starting point is 00:38:07 That's going to be available. That's the first one I'm doing. And that's going to be available in the fall. So those of you who are doing the fall program, or if you've done our program before and you just want to take the course. So I'm going to do a course with Dr. Olenka on hormones. Everything from, like, we're going to talk about all of it. We're going to just go right into it. We're going to talk about all of it. And yes, I would also like to do the same with Dr. Beverly, where we are taking people, see the foundation is the living method, right? Like people are here to lose weight. Yes. But what's the one takeaway that all of our experts have shared is that this is a program that creates that healthy foundation at minimum. At minimum,
Starting point is 00:38:47 this is what you need to do physically, mentally to get to a place where you can really start digging in and addressing things like your mental health issues and associations and whatnot. And you are like the program is, it is like, like if you, the program itself is working through those, like the, like make no mistake, this is so much more than a diet, right? The program itself, the establishing the routine, prioritizing of yourself, the downsizing the feels that it brings up, right? The, even the splitting up the meals and snacks, the feels that it brings up, the way we're mentally approaching weight loss is that it's all meant to help you with those issues and associations, beliefs, and habits. So it's all built into the program. And so this is why I love our guests, because it's also like, if you had issues associated, like you're feeling a lot of anxiety,
Starting point is 00:39:38 stress, right? Moody, all of that, a lot of emotions popping up. Yes, that can be part of what like past traumas, it can be associations, it could also be hormones being off, right? There's a lot to that. It could also be like triggers and how you learn. And that's where, you know, Dr. Dina comes in. It could be actual deficiencies in your body when it comes to like supplements, not getting the, you know, the things that you need, magnesium, for example. And so it's sort of all built in, but there are like with hormones, we're going to go deeper into that with Dr. Alinka with that, you know, that psychological part, we're going to go deeper into that with Dr. Beverly. Dr. Paul's got a bunch of topics that he wants to cover and discuss. So I am actually working on these supplemental add-ons where we can go down these
Starting point is 00:40:25 rabbit holes with gas. So we are doing that. Eventually we do want to do clinical trials with the Livi method. And so this is just a way of incorporating all the pieces and bringing it all together. So yeah, so you are kind of, you are already, if you are doing the program, you are already like, you are already the real person going through this already, right? If you have been like, if you systematically, so it's also not Dr. just Dr. Beverly. This is why I was just saying at the top, it's a great idea to go back and to listen to our guest segments in the order that they can. This is why we start with learning, unlearning, relearning, learning with Dr. Dina. Then we get into supplements, right? Then we get into sleep. We get into stress. We get into, you know, we also, we put Dr. Beverly in there with a diet schema, right? Like how you see yourself and whatnot. And then we get in with stress. We get in with sleep. We get in with hormones. We get in with, you know, how you see yourself and whatnot. And then we get in with stress, we get in with sleep, we get in with hormones, we get in with, you know, how you see your body, right? How you associate with self, your relationship with yourself. And at the same time, you are working on strengthening
Starting point is 00:41:38 that mind-body connection through asking those four questions, being calm before you eat, being aware, prioritizing, all those things. And so if you go back and listen to all those conversations with our guest experts, now with where you are at, I guarantee you they're going to hit so differently and you're going to be able to see it in its entirety. This is what I'm saying off the top. This is a great full circle moment. I love that you brought this up. Because what I said is that you cannot, sometimes you are so in the midst of the program that you can't see the forest from the top. This is a great full circle moment. I love that you brought this up. Because what I said is that you cannot, sometimes you are so in the midst of the program that you can't see the forest from the trees. You don't really see what you've been doing and working on until you're
Starting point is 00:42:12 able to take that step back. And this is where I would suggest that you do go through and listen to those conversations, all of our guest expert segments in the order that we had them. And your mind will just be like, look what I've done. Look where I've come from. Look what I've worked through. And then it'll hit different in terms of real times, in terms of things that you can work through. But we're working on some fun stuff. We're working on some fun stuff. So that is some fun stuff. Yes. Listening to you speak reminds me that I'm going to listen to Dr. Beverly and look at her chart that she provided. Yes. The cognitive behavioral therapy model. Yeah. So all of that, all of the conversations that we have are not by accident. They're not
Starting point is 00:42:50 by accident. They're all very strategic. They're all very integrated into the program and the process. It's the way it all works together at the end of the day. Isn't it awesome? Will you ever consider a full cookbook of healthy recipes with pictures, etc, and everything? Yes. In fact, I have we have hundreds of recipes, we have beautiful photos. I always I, if I if I do a cookbook, I'm going to do it exactly as you say with beautiful photos, easy instructions, all of that. The problem is volume right now. And if I was to go and produce a beautifully colored cookbook, it would be so expensive because unless we're pumping out the volumes that we would need. But it is something that the first thing I'm going to do is, so it's
Starting point is 00:43:38 been cost. I want to, I'm very mindful to keep things affordable because that is sort of our mantra, affordable, accessible, doable, whatever, and the cost involved. So the cost involved to do all the things that we need to do. But it is definitely on my roadmap. The thing I'm working on this summer is a journal. So I'm getting a journal out for fall, a journal, like a paper for those of you who like to write notes and to track everything by way of hand and paper. That can be used in line with the app as well is my next thing. So I'm working on that this summer. I'm going to have that journal out for the fall. And then yes, probably after that, well, then I'm also working on my book book. I'm working on my book that takes all of everything
Starting point is 00:44:14 that I've learned about dieting, not the Libby Method, because the Libby Method has the program guide in the diet. But I'm working on a diet that talks about the diet industry, what I've learned, everything I have to share about that. So I've actually been working with, um, someone and, uh, actually my chapter's all, all done. So I'm working on that and then probably work to get that cookbook out. So, um, I would love to get a, uh, I would love to have a cookbook. Um, some people do cookbooks, you save in a PDF and it's in color. Yeah. Yeah. So, so yes.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Right. So I just, um, I have a vision for what I want to do and it'd be great. Like we have the PDFs available and we have all of that right now. So everything takes a lot longer than what you think it takes. That's all I got to say about that. I'm still working on that app. I'm still working on that app. I will announce the journal when it goes on sale. Yeah. So I will send out emails. Um, we're working on that app. I'm still working on that app. I will announce the journal when it goes on sale.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Yeah. So I will send out emails. We're working on the cruise. I think we're going to do April 6th. I'm not sure, but I just, I'm finalizing some things with the cruise. I want to make sure it's the right thing. We had a meeting yesterday. I'm just waiting on some more information.
Starting point is 00:45:18 I'm going to let you guys know about the menopause conference and the national women's show. If we have any codes for that. Some of you have been asking, we've reached out. Also letting you guys know about the menopause group, what's going on with that. So we're going to send out emails and let you know when you can sign up, what's happening. We're going to be doing all that. So if you've signed up for the program, you are on our email list. So we'll let you know. Plus we'll also be posting over on socials and we'll let you know in the bridging the gap group as well. So, and we also got some fun stuff that we're doing as the lead up for the fall group. I'm working on some fun stuff. I'm, I just,
Starting point is 00:45:51 you guys know this has been a really hard, it's been a really hard couple of years for me. I'm ready to have some fun. This is why I'm so looking forward to the summer group. I'm going to be going live from my pool. I'm going to be hanging out. I'm going to have some fun. I just want to like, just connect with our community and continue to work on the things that we want to work on. And also moving into next year, I want to help a lot of people lose a lot of weight and reach their goals, but I also want to have fun. Man, you know, life is really short, unfortunately. Too short for some people. And life is really hard. And I want to get back to having fun. Look at me. You know what I'm saying? This group has been so fulfilling and amazing, but also at moments incredibly difficult. And I want to get to a place where I
Starting point is 00:46:41 am having a lot of fun. And we all get to have a lot of fun. Work really fucking hard to reach our weight loss goals, but have fun. So I got some fun stuff coming up. I gotta go. I gotta go. I gotta go. Easiest way to find all the guest speakers. You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to get my team today. I'm going to get my team today. I know someone, I know my team's listening. Hi guys. Can someone do me a favor and put together a list of the links of all the guest experts, all of our guest experts, all of our guest eggberts. Okay. It's time to go. I'm going to get my team to make a list for you guys. And then you can check that list out. I gotta go. Have an amazing day. I'll be back tomorrow. Bye. Oh wait, I'm also back at 12. So join us today, 12, speak this week. Bye.
