I'm Gina Livy and welcome to the Livy Method podcast.
This is where you'll have access to all of the live streams for my 91 day weight loss program.
With a combination of daily lives, guest expert interviews and member stories, there is something new almost every day.
Miss the morning live?
Want to re-listen to one of our amazing guest experts?
Well, this is the place.
This podcast is hosted on ACAST, but it's available on all podcast platforms, including the one you're listening to right now,
Spotify, Apple, and Amazon Music.
My goodness, day 88 of the program.
Okay, so our final live.
Our final live, heads up, the whole team is off tomorrow because it is a good Friday,
but they will get caught up on any of the comments or questions that you have when they missed on the weekend.
We go right to the day, last day, end of Sunday around here.
So if you got questions for the team, make sure you ask them.
Of course, you can continue to use the AI in the app.
I know you have a lot of questions about the end of the program, the start of the next program.
So I'm going to get into that.
You got questions. Hit me up. I'm going to try to get through as many as I possibly can today.
So here we are. You did it. It's a good feeling, right? It's a great feeling. You started something.
You followed through and you finished and it wasn't easy. Well, I mean, you might be sitting here being like, Gina, that was easy.
We get so many people who reach out and say, oh, that was so great. Thank you so much. It was so easy.
And then of course, some of us struggle more than others because maybe we're dealing with some issues that we need to work on or work through.
Maybe life is not making it easy for us, whatever it is.
It doesn't matter you are here.
And just like any other diet, you want to keep going.
So, of course, we have a two-week break in between live sessions.
So ideally, you will continue to personalize the plan, the same tweak that you've been following in the last couple weeks to continue to lose until we start again,
April 20th, right? So if you don't have the capacity for that, you can always just follow the
basic food plan as well. But really, the personalizing the plan is a great tweak for getting
and keeping that scale moving. Now, the thoughts and feels that you have pop up, that's the work for
you. If you're nervous, if you don't trust yourself or whatever the feeling is, good.
It's great that that's being highlighted to highlight what you need to work on and work through.
Because at some point, you're not going to be following a program anymore because you will
have reached your goals. Now, you want to follow through on the next program exactly as designed.
Nothing changes there, except you have changed. You have changed physically. You have changed mentally.
Each time you go through the program, you're bringing a whole new body to the table.
We have this thing called fresh eyes, which is you really want to look at each program fresh and
new because the things you picked up on last time were the things that you needed to focus on and the
things you you pick up on next time, trust me, will be completely different. Like the first time you
do the program can be a very physical experience. What's going on with the food plan? What's happening
with my body? What am I feeling? The second time around, knowing what you know tends to be a more
mental process. That routine is so key because the body loves routine. Routine is the foundation
of change. And each time you run through the program physically, your body's like, okay, I'm getting
this. It's just the mental stuff. And then the third program tends to be a combination of mind
body and then moving on from there is very individual experience in terms of how many programs
you will need until you feel confident in moving on to maintenance or you know some people some
people lose their weight quite quickly but then they need longer time in maintenance and then
others who spent more time in weight loss actually feel more confident in maintenance right so
if you missed it odette joined us the other day to talk about maintenance was that yesterday yeah
is a whole other, it's a whole separate program with that's built around pillars of success when
it comes to being able to maintain and sustain your weight. Same base program. So what you're
eating and when is the same, but the intention is completely different. Some questions about
how to switch over to maintenance. So if you're in the membership, if you're in the membership,
once you finish the 91 day program, your app will move over to general tracking and it will
prompt you whether or not you want to continue in the weight loss, kind of like lane,
or you want to move into maintenance, in which then you just pick whether you want weight loss
or maintenance. And then on April 20th, when we start our program, you'll open up your app and the
app will start on day one. For those of you who are on single purchase, your app after the 91 days
will move into freemium mode. So you'll still be able to track, but you won't have access to content,
to AI, to anything like that, obviously, until you,
start the next program. Regardless, whether you on membership or a single, single purchase,
you still want to continue to work towards your goals in between the breaks. Now, obviously,
this is really looking ahead, but we have a big gap coming up in the summertime. So this is
where if you're on membership, you will have access to our summer club and ongoing content
and support to help continue to support you throughout the summer. And if you are in a single
session, you can also choose to purchase our summer club as well if you feel so inclined.
So think about other diets you've done though, right? Like I know we're nervous about the break,
but think about other diets that you did. All you did was just count, weigh, measure, eat less,
but it was very chaotic. There was no structure to it. So if you compare that to what you're
doing now within all the structure of the program with personalized and plan, checking in at every
single meal and snack time, being mindful, assessing if you need to eat,
could eat, should eat, asking those four sets of mindful eating questions. Someone last night on the
live was talking about how they're going to really dig in and practice those four sets of mindful
eating questions. What can you do also to set yourself up for success? It's a great time to reflect
on your journey and be like, what worked really well for me? What didn't? Let's be honest here
and be like, how can I best set myself up for success? Did I start journaling last time, which was really
helpful, but maybe I didn't follow through on them. They start taking supplements and I noticed a change,
but then I kind of dropped off and didn't do it. Like, do it with a friend, commit to yourself.
You really got to make a commitment to yourself. When you commit to something or you do something
with a friend that you commit to, for example, you are more likely to follow through on that
commitment. So have you made a commitment to follow through on this journey for yourself? Did you
start this program being like, oh, let me see. I don't know. I just like hope, have you actually
committed to the process of following through and finishing this? I am going to follow through
and reach my goals, right? Like beyond just a why actually committing to the process. Like I know
there's some of you that are that are continuing. You haven't even purchased the next program yet. And I,
when I have an opportunity to meet people, I'm like, why? They're like, well, I don't know. I'm just,
I'm like, is it financial? And they're like, no. And then why are you not? And then why are you not? And I'm,
not committing. Well, I want to see how I do at the end of the program. I'm like, what do you,
what? What do you mean? You have to continue your journey in order to reach your goals, right?
I do have a couple other, of course, I'm going to get any questions that you guys have. Kim sent me
a couple to today. Let me just go through them real quick right here. Okay. How long do we have
access to the Facebook support group information in live? So you will have, if you are a member
in this Facebook support group, you will have ongoing access for as long as it's available on Facebook,
right? So all of our previous groups that we've done, 29 programs are all still available on
Facebook for people to access the information. Now, you can't post, you can't ask questions because
we archive the group, because the team moves over to a whole separate and new group. Now, if you're
in the membership, you can just use your codes to gain access to that same group like you did this
group, so nothing changes. So you still have access to this Facebook support group.
Will I still have access to the guest expert podcast? Yes. So you can still have access to the
podcast in the app. We have all of the guest experts stored for you there as well, and you can
pop into the group and review. Special instructions for those with a subscription. Just keep showing up.
Your app will finish out the program, complete the program. It will roll into general tracking.
it'll work exactly this same way.
You'll be prompted to choose which program or live session,
whether it's weight loss or maintenance that you want,
and it's as simple as that.
If you have any issues with that,
just reach out to customer service or tech support,
and we will let you know.
Do members with a subscription wanting to head to maintenance,
just wait for it to appear in the app when will it be there?
So it'll prompt you at the end of the program.
What if a subscription member can't find their order number
for getting into the new group?
Just reach out to customer service,
and they'd be happy to find that for you.
So we want you to be successful.
That's the takeaway.
We want you to be successful.
We want you to continue your journey.
We're going to make that as easy as possible.
Of course, with our new app that we had to switch over,
because the way we created our app last time was just not being supported by new technology,
so we had no choice.
We switched that over.
We need to do that sooner rather than later.
It was either a new app or no app.
We had a lot of issues.
I want to thank you again for being so patient.
Most of those have been sorted except for individual circumstances.
that depend on the type of phone that someone is using.
Usually it's older models of phone
where the technology, new technology
doesn't really isn't so inclined to support that.
So we are hoping smooth sailing
for our next program with the app at this point.
What we are, though, asking you for,
if you can fill out the survey today,
is to give us your feedback.
I want to know what you think.
What did you like?
What did you not like?
What do you want change?
Like if you could change anything,
what would it be?
if you want more of something.
What is it?
What is it?
What?
Good morning.
Hello.
Proud of myself for showing up to the end,
despite losing the same five pounds due to some health issues before I would have freaked out.
Now I'm like, yeah, shit happens and I know why it will come off.
This.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Life can be so maddening because it can feel like two steps forwards, two steps back,
two steps forward, two steps back.
But what are you learning?
You're learning so much in that two steps forward.
two steps back. Anytime put at maintaining and sustaining your weight is like stabilizing your
weight is is great, right? At least you didn't gain weight. Like that's, we have to think about that
too. Like sometimes it's about not gaining weight. Sometimes it's even bigger. It's getting through
these moments in our lives and continuing to try to drink a little bit more water, try to make
some healthy food choices, try to manage our stress, try to get better sleep when life is not making it
easy, especially when you have issues. So this is a massive win for you. It's a massive, massive
win. Massive win. Committing to being more present during the break and understanding more
about who I am in the downtime. Yeah, because I can really be still live and all is good. You can actually,
yes, sorry, I butcher that. Yes, you absolutely can still love. It really is about, it is about
finding the person that you know you want to be. And that's hard to explain. There's nothing wrong
with who you are now. That's really important. Like you can love yourself right now today and still
want to make change, right? Just like you're, you can, you can design the life you want to live
and still live your best life today because you woke up and you are still alive, right? Two,
two things can be true at the same time. But it's really about owning the changes that you've made.
Like, you know, you envision, you can feel that person that you like the, and it's not about
just five pounds, right? It's being calm and confident around food. It's getting out of that vicious
cycle of punishing yourself. You eat something. You punish yourself. So, you know, five pounds might not
seem like a lot of work, but five pounds for someone can be more work than someone's that, that has 15 or 25
pounds depending on what's going on, right? So that version of you that says, let's say you don't want to
lose any weight, you just want to be healthier, that version of you that sleeps better, that is more
confident, that's more calm around food that's healthier, that healthy version of you, right?
I was talking to the T&T Mamas last night, which is so fun, two of our members. They're two friends.
One is down 75. One's down 30. They've been able to maintain their weight for two years.
And now they are playing pickleball. And they are owning that they are pickleball players, right?
And we need to own that I am a healthy, fit person. I am, you know, someone eats good nutrient-rich
foods. I am this person that not only lost the weight or is losing the weight, but this person or
version of you that's able to maintain and sustain the weight, the mindful version, the version of you
that trusts and knows intrinsically when to eat, what to eat, how much to eat, right?
Like, how does that version of you, we talk about this, how does this version of you go on
vacations? How does this version of you navigate long weekends and holidays? How is this version of
you show up around family or friends?
who maybe used to, you know, you used to be the butt of all their jokes or, you know, that aunt
who kept, who always comments on your weight or something. What is this version of you say to that
person, right? So it's really about owning it. It's about committing it, committing to it,
and then owning it, right? Never in my life did I think I'd be running a business that I'm running
right now. And a lot of that was like, okay, I'm this person who's running this business right now.
And although deep inside I wasn't sure I felt worthy and did I really know and what am I even doing?
And it's taken me a while.
But I was like, okay, I have to really adopt and own that this is this is who I'm striving to be.
I can't have a successful business without being a business person.
I can't be a successful entrepreneur without being an entrepreneur.
You know, so it's like really owning that.
And then being okay, if I'm struggling right now, what can I do to better support being a better
business owner, read some books, learn some skills, learn some tools, manage my stress better,
work on my communication skills, right? So this is just practicing being that person and a person
who no longer is struggling with their way, you know? Oh, so good, so good. I hope Gina, Kim Odette
and Tony and everyone behind the scenes takes a break and gets some very well, very well-deserved rest.
without all of you, we are not who we are today. Love to you and all my gratitude. Well, thank you.
You know, honestly, it's not lost on my whole team. We all love what we do and we get to do it because of you.
Honestly, truly. And that is something that we remind ourselves of every day. The mission here is not to make money. The mission here is to help our members be successful.
And as a business, if we focus on and do that, we will make money. Obviously, I run a business. I'm an entrepreneur. I have four, you know, children. I want to live my best life.
Everybody works because they want to put roofs over their heads. They want to feed themselves. They
want to have the money to enjoy life. But it's not about that. It never was and never will be about that.
And to be honest, it started to be about that for me. It started to be about that for me because when you have a lot of people,
you need to pay their paychecks. And then you have dreams and ambitions. You need money. And that's where I was on that track.
and you might have noticed a massive change in me in this last program because that I was like,
what am I doing here? What am I doing here? And to me, what's more important is to actually be able
to help people actually. And that's the goal. And so I've refocused on that. We have kind of
restructured things around here. That's why I love this concept of a membership. I'm not trying to
sign up as many people as possible. I'm trying to try to keep people going as long as possible until
they reach their goals and that's now the new focus right so so i am truly grateful and i know the team is
as well we love what we do and this is why the survey is really important this is survey is not just
horseshit the survey is like are we seeing it the way we need to be seeing it the longer we are
no longer in your shoes the further apart we get from what you need and this is why we are asking
you to fill out that survey and share with us what do you need and how can we better serve you
So if you can take time to do that, that would be really great.
We are going to get some downtime.
Tony and I are going to go skiing this weekend.
It's our anniversary, so our 10th anniversary since we've been together.
Our third year of marriage?
Yes, third year of marriage.
So we're going to get away for a few days, but we're already been busy working on the next program.
There's a lot that goes into that.
So we're going to be busy doing that.
But thank you.
Thank you for all the kind words.
But honestly, I want to say thank you to those of you who,
who comment and who ask questions because that's what creates community.
Every time someone is vulnerable and shares, someone else sees themselves in you.
Every time you are successful and you share that gives someone hope, oh, wow, they're doing it,
I can do it.
Every time you show up and you are frustrated, it makes someone else feel like, oh, okay,
I'm not the only one here.
And I think above all else, community is really important.
community is probably the most important, which is why there's a few events.
So on April, April 19th, the obesity matters people are putting on a summit.
And I'm going to be there.
It's going to be a day of learning, a day of celebrating.
It's going to be the Sunday before the program kicks off on the Monday.
I'm going to be there.
Dr. Sean Wharton's going to be there.
Sandy Van's going to be there.
Sandra Leah is going to be there.
Alyssa Steinberg is going to be there.
So if you want to come and hang out, tickets are.
$80, but they're given us a code for like 20 bucks off or something like that. There's food.
I promise you, I have asked and re-asked. There is tons of good food. So if you want to come and
hang out, it's a great way to get motivated for the next program. I'm also going to be at the
Eat Well, Live Well, the day before, which is a new kind of health and wellness show that's
popping up with Dr. Beverly David and Alan McGinn. We're also going dancing on May 9th. Okay,
that's like a little further away,
but you should come hang out.
But making more opportunities to bring the community together.
I'm also going to Indigo today to make it official
and sign my contract for the lifestyle book that I'm working on with Indigo.
And yes,
it's going to be a great book.
It's kind of like a recipe book for lifestyle.
And I think I've convinced Greta to be part of my book.
So I'm excited about that.
But what's really important to me is that we're going to be able to go across Canada
and hit up all the indigos and bring our community together.
So that's what really got me excited about the book,
is not necessarily the book,
which of course is going to be a great book,
but it's going to be an opportunity to bring our community together,
which I think is going to be really cool.
So good morning.
I totally flaked out halfway through this session.
That's okay.
That's all right.
You didn't.
You really crushed the first part and then life got you.
That's it.
You're back now.
That's all that matters.
Finally made my way through my funk and I'm back,
ready to carry on. Happy Easter all. See in a few weeks. This. Can we normalize this? Can we normalize this?
This is the ebb and flow of life. There are times where we're at the gym every day. We're super
motivated and then there are months that go by and we haven't gone to the gym. Right? There are times where we feel
like rock stars and then times we're like hanging on by the skin of our teeth. There are times that our life
is easy and then times when our life is hard. So let's normalize this. Let's normalize this.
Please. Just happy that you're back. That's it. Just happy that you're back. You haven't given up
on yourself. Actually, this was a conversation I just had with someone this morning. They were like,
well, maybe that's it for me. And this is, and I'm like, it's not it for you. It's frustrating, yes,
but absolutely you can reach your goals. You just have to keep going. It's the same thing with anything
in life. You're building a house. Like actually, I don't know, you hired a contractor. It always takes
longer than you want. There's always things that happen. That house will never get built unless you work
through the frustrations and you, you know, you keep working on building the house, whatever it is.
school is hard. You see your children struggling through classes, through friendships, through
teachers that they love, teachers that they don't like, you know, personal health issues that
they're going through. They have to finish school. But there's a lot of struggles along the way,
right? You've got to follow through and finish on this journey. So you can just put your weight
journey behind you and move forward and live your life without having that. Now, it'll always be
an ebb and flow. It will always be like managing your weight is like managing your health
wellness. There's times you're going to be healthier, times you're not so healthier, but you're
going to have the tools and the skills that you need to keep going, especially when life sets you back.
That's what it's all about. When will we receive the order number for subscription? So every month
with your subscription and your payment comes out, you can use that new number, which you would have
received an email, or you can use your original subscription order number as well. And if you need it,
you can just reach out to our team. How successful were the squads this round? I didn't belong to a
squad. There were a lot of hype initially, but didn't really hear about them near the end of the program.
So, so we were just talking, we were just talking to the T&T and T Mamas last night who,
they had their squad that they were in. So the squads is not us. So we're not taking ownership over the
squads. The squads were an opportunity to help people connect and bring people together.
There were GLP1 squads. There were people who were swapping recipes squad. So we stopped talking about it.
We still talked about it throughout the weekends because once we kind of set people up with their
squads, it's really on them. It's really no different than if you started a chat group with your
family who was doing the program or a chat group with your friends who are doing the program.
So because of the large numbers in the groups and the complexities of trying to bring people together,
we're working on our pop-ups, like we're working on with Sherry Perez to meet out a couple
wise across Ontario and do some classes and bring our community together.
it was really just to show people that you can create your own connections with people and your
own and your own squads. So whether that's with a bunch of strangers that you met in the program
or friends that you connected with and got together or your family or maybe your office workers,
that's what that was all about. And so I would imagine they were just as successful as everybody else
when it comes to following the program. So we're not keeping tabs on squads. That was just an opportunity to say,
hey, why don't you bring people together? So what we did was we taught people how to connect.
So making a WhatsApp group or some people made a Facebook support group or some people just kept it
in-house or whatever they chose to do, right? So that's more what that was about. Behind the scenes,
we have stayed connected to the squad. So the next level of that is I might, if I have time,
show up within certain chat groups and squads. We're thinking about how can we stay connected to people
and their squads, but also keep the community contained within the program as well,
like the Facebook support group. So, you know, this is ultimately the community where you can
connect with people. And really the side chats that people are squads that people have going on
is for more niche things and staying connected in other ways, right? So, so yeah, so to answer your
question, I'm assuming that the squads degrades. It's also if people aren't into a squad, we can't
really kind of make that what it's all about because this is your squad right here. You only really
need one squad, which is the Facebook support groups where you can find everybody. So that's what that
was all about. So that was hugely successful. I don't know the numbers. It was in the thousands of people
who connected with other people on squads and whatnot. I would imagine if you go back to the squad
pages, if you're looking for a squad, you can reach out and connect. I think we have a whole squad
guide where we've had all that information. So if you're looking to find a squad for the next program,
you can find more information there. I'll probably have a meeting with a team to be like,
what are we doing next group to help connect people who didn't find a squad? So we'll probably do a
similar thing on the weekends, do a bit of a shout out, if people are looking to connect. One of the
things we're looking to do next program too is to be a little bit more niche. Like if you are
taking care of aging parents while trying to lose weight, right, connect those people. If you are going
through a divorce or a relationship breakup and trying to lose weight, connect those people. Beyond health
issues, obviously, if you, you know, have diabetes or dealing with PCOS, how can we best connect
people so they can have those conversations? That's one of the things we're working on in the app as well,
is to create. The squads were also created as a way to connect people as we work on that feature in the
app. So in our app, we want to have a chat feature that's available so you can connect with your
friends or family or coworkers, whoever you have a squad with and stay motivated that way as well.
So still working on that.
Here's Barbara.
I love being part of a squad.
We did challenges and we're there to support and encourage each other.
That's essentially what it's about, right?
This is my fourth program, but I dropped the ball and struggling to not see myself as a failure,
hard to see the ways I've messed up.
So, oh, God.
I feel you.
I feel like a failure in so many ways of my life.
So I just want to say that.
Because other people looking at me might be like,
what?
Like I feel like I'm this girl who helps everybody,
but I feel like I need help.
You know what I mean?
And people see me as like, well, you don't need help.
You're doing amazing.
And I'm like, no, I'm not.
Sometimes I feel like a complete failure.
But look what I've achieved.
You know, I feel like a failure in a lot of, oh, God, I'm ready to bust out a cry right now.
I start talking about how I feel like a failure as a mom, as a wife, as a business owner, as like,
I don't know where that's coming from. I think I'm going through something right now.
I'm actually trying to look back at my life and being like, how did I become who I am?
And am I being motivated by this child within me who's insecure or felt like they'll never be enough or, you know?
Yeah, God, I feel like a failure.
so often. And so you can feel that. You can feel that and also be successful because,
for example, you're here today. Like the fact that you, like to me, I see someone who feels like
this and you've showed up today and you've owned it and you put it out there and been like,
hi, I'm here. I feel like a failure. What I see is, hi, I'm here. Right. Like that's the part
that's the only part that matters.
That's the only part that matters is you keep putting one foot in front of the other.
You can feel like a failure and still reach your goals.
You can feel like a failure and still be successful.
You can trip up along the way and just like feel like you're just foiling and failing.
And somehow some way, it's the one foot in front of the other that gets you there.
Right?
it's the fact that you are back today.
And so there's a couple of things you can do.
Listen to the conversation that we have with Dr. Beverly David and Dr. Dina and Dr. Alinka
on Tuesday.
It was brilliant.
It's really just about honoring all the fields that you have.
And I love that this group is structured in a way that we can reflect back on the last 91 days.
You don't have to reflect back on your whole entire life.
You can reflect back on the last 91 days.
If you do want to reflect back on your life in terms of your weight journey, the team posted that
troubleshooting session that I did. So in that troubleshooting session, I didn't go through the
maximizing checklist. I didn't do that this time. What I did was shared when I take on a client,
how I get to know them. And it takes me about an hour of an initial conversation. And I go through
their history, their life, when their weight journey started, how were they raised around food,
traumatic moments in their life. And I try to help them.
them connect the dots as to how they got here. Like that that's a that's a big one. Um, so that
troubleshooting session can help. And then looking at the last 91 days and be like, okay, so I signed up.
I was excited. I was super jazz. Great. That's that motivation factor. Okay. Um, but I started to
fall off what was happening in my life. Maybe there were things just beyond your control and you need to
reconcile that that's how life is sometimes. Then you can say, okay, even though things went sideways
beyond my control, in hindsight now, where are there things that I could do next time to keep
myself moving forward? Right? But you can't see that while you're in the midst of it. That's like
learning to swim while you're drowning. You can't see that when you're in the midst of it. This is
why you want to productively look back. And you can do this on a weekend, right? Like you, if you were,
on Mondays you wake up, you're full of regret, you feel like you failed the weekend. Go back to the when you
were last feeling good and then track it. What happened? Right. Oh, yeah, I got some bad news, which led to me
drinking, which led to me binging, which led to me whatever. Then I woke up the next day and then this
happened or I felt like that. So then I continued behavior. What was the thought process? Oh,
all or nothing. I ruined one day, so I might as well ruin the whole weekend. Okay, all or nothing
mentality. Right. We've had conversations. Go back. Search the podcast. All or nothing mentality.
So this is where you want to be like, and then you're like, oh, okay.
Oh, that's what happened.
I will meet, I will meet members all the time.
And they'll say to me, oh, my God, I totally blew this whole, this whole session.
I need a kick in the ass.
Give me a kick in the ass.
And I'm like, okay, before I give you a kick in the ass, tell me what was going on in your life.
And it's always like, oh, going through a divorce, someone died, lost my job, working three jobs, had to do this, how to do that, fell off,
because of this. And I'm like, that's the thing. That's it. So that doesn't mean, though,
you have to throw it all away. And that's what Dr. Deena shared with us on Tuesday. Just because this
one thing happened doesn't mean it has to ruin everything. You do not have to make it worse.
You do not have to make it worse, you know. So you're allowed to see yourself as a failure.
You also simultaneously have to see yourself as successful. So sometimes it's focusing on,
So sometimes I will say to Tony, oh my God, I'm the worst. And he's like, no, you're not. You're
this. And then you do this and you do this and you do that. And I'm like, oh, yeah, okay. Yeah, I forgot. I forgot. I'm
actually really good at some things. You know what I mean? So you can look at the things that you did
really well. You came back. You don't give up. That's huge. That's the biggest one. You're very,
you're self-reflective. You see that you are struggling with this thing. Maybe it's name.
naming the struggle, right? What's the, what's the struggle? And struggling to not see myself as a
failure, but name that struggle in which ways are we struggling. Like go deeper. Is this about weight
loss? Or is this about something deeper in your life? Is this something you feel like a failure in
some other area of your life? And it's just carrying over, right? This, because of this mentality,
here's what I can say to you. Because of this mentality, I would bet on you. I would bet on you.
This is the mentality that gets you to the end.
This is the mentality that's going to help you follow through and finish this journey for you.
That's the mentality that's going to help you grow and evolve, right?
Like that, I would bet on that mentality.
That's the mentality that you want where you're still here, you haven't given up.
And you're reflecting on, okay, what's going on?
That's what it's about.
That's what it's about.
Be kind.
Yeah, right?
Be kind.
Be kind.
Be kind.
Be kind is the way to go.
I need to be kind.
compassionate. This program has helped me figure out what my body needed. I'd been searching for a couple
years for help and thanks to Jean and all the experts I was able to get help and now I know my digestion
was not working. I now take digestive enzymes and everything is working or at least getting better.
That's what this is. This is like I'm sharing all my knowledge through helping people over 30 years
lose way. Right? Our guest experts are sharing their knowledge. That's so amazing. Like we were talking
about this last night. It's not like, yeah, you could go get a psychologist. Of course, that'd be
super beneficial and work through your stuff. But would they also be simultaneously sharing their
knowledge in the way that they do? No, of course not, because they don't have time for that.
So this is even beyond a session with a psychologist. This is a psychologist sharing all of their
knowledge. And if you think about that, that's like insane. And what's so great about the program is that they
know where you, they know the program so well and have been through it, some of them themselves,
they know exactly where you are at in the program and the kinds of fields that pop up a long way.
Like that's just absolutely brilliant. But it is about you at some point. You, it's about helping
you figure out what you need. That's it. For some reason, I don't know what it is.
There was kind of this movement out there. I think the, I think a lot of people assume other people
are just dumb. You know that people are not smart enough to figure it out on their own, just because
they don't have an education or a background or whatever it is. Like, for example, I learned this
weekend that doctors aren't really taught anything about weight loss. They're not. I would,
I would not want to go without my doctor. My doctor also didn't know anything about menopause.
And thank goodness she's the kind of doctor that's like, let me learn about it. And now she
learns a lot about menopause. But we put so much faith in our doctors to have.
help us figure it out and yet they're not even trained in this area right and so there's this this is there's a
sense that if you didn't go to school you don't you're just dumb and you don't know what your body needs
meanwhile you're living in your body you know you are everyone is capable of learning and making change
they just need a little bit of they need the knowledge and the guidance right and for some reason
there's this thing out there with weight loss and maybe it's tied into lack of willpower if you have
lack of willpower it means you're a dumb dumb or something but I don't think people give enough
people enough credit to figure it out on their own and not that you're figuring it out on your
own obviously with maybe it's the fact that I'm a bit of a slow learner myself like I'm
slow to learn things but then once I get it look out like look out like I got this right
but yeah this is what it's all about is about you learning about yourself learning new things
and learning what you need in order to reach your goals right and
This is where it becomes very individual for people.
That's where you can take, this is where, like, I remember my first time at the obesity conference
and there's a bunch of doctors and I'm like, well, the problem is there's not one diet fits all.
And I said, yes, there is.
And they looked at me.
And I'm like, it's called the human diet.
We all have same basic needs, protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, leafy greens,
making sure you're getting enough fiber.
What are you talking about?
There absolutely is a one-size-fits-all diet.
It's like what your body needs in order to function.
what is what is not one size fits all is the issues and associations that people are dealing with
whether that's health issues mental issues whatever that is that people are dealing with
that's the problem that's the work there right that's why the living method is not rocket science
at the end of the day yes there's a lot of science behind it um but it's the bigger stuff is the mental
stuff i could have gained all my weight back with the stress i had this round but thanks to the program
i didn't yeah that's so huge i yeah first of all that's amazing for you
And yes, having the, this is why sometimes it's just having the skills to know how not to gain weight.
And that's the massive win.
That's the massive win, right?
Because think about another diet you would have done.
You would have counted weight measured, eaten less, whatever.
And then there would have been a point where you would have gained that way back.
And now you have the tools and skills.
That's going to be really helpful.
You're going to know how to not gain weight back.
Huge.
Huge, right?
All right.
Oh, I've lost all my, I lost all my comments.
Let me scroll down here.
Let me go.
Can I ask what everyone is doing to keep active?
I've tried the gym, but sometimes it's lonely and I go alone.
I've registered for virtual strength training classes, but sometimes I feel unmotivated.
I also have fit on an app.
I know Andrew Blakeys.
I don't know if you know Andrew Blake.
I don't know where you're at in your fitness routine, but Andrew Blakey, who is our fitness expert,
he offers like an online thing, but it's community.
So you actually get to see people and you're there with people.
So if you're looking for community, we're going to get Sherry Perez starting up
and doing some live workouts for us too next program.
I work out at home.
I do also have a gym membership that I haven't been in a while.
I work out at home.
I go for walks.
I play golf.
Looking to start a pickleball.
That's personally what I do.
But I see some other people are talking about things that they're sharing as well.
We also have, and it's not too late to go check out the exercise share page.
So we have a whole share page over there with exercises and kind of people sharing what they do.
So that might be a great thing for you to check out.
You know, come to think of it.
We have covered so much, so much stuff over the last few months.
We've got all these guides, all this information.
That's something you can do over the break.
I know the team put together a list of all of our guest experts segments so you can give them a
watch or a listen.
You can peruse some of the guides, some of the content, the information.
In the app, it's all like according to topics.
So we have a mindfulness guide, exercise guide, recipe guide, supplement guides, all there and
organize.
You can kind of peruse that, go through.
There might have been some great conversations you missed or some great post.
We kind of really focused on what you need to know, which is the guidelines versus all
the rest.
It'd be a great idea to get caught up on some of that.
I got to go.
It's my time.
I don't want to go, which is probably why I've gone over time today.
I just want to thank you again, but I'm excited for you.
I'm not going to get too sappy because you are either moving on to.
continue your journey or you're ready for maintenance and you're moving on. Logistically,
we're going to make sure we still have another few days. We're going to post everything that you
need to know about next steps, everything that's happening with the membership. If you're part
of the membership, if you are a single purchase program, what happens there? We're also sending
out emails with all of this information as well. So we'll post in group. There will be emails. You can
follow us over on social media. We'll be keeping people up to date on what's going on over there.
If you can fill out that survey, and if you can please share the program.
Sharing is caring.
We're going back to relying on member referrals, and we're not doing any big advertising.
When we find we do that, we want to like attracts like.
And if you could share with someone who you think would benefit from the program, if they're
interested in learning what it's about, we have lots of information over on our website.
They can reach out to customer service.
You don't have to be the one to educate them.
But if you can be share, if sharing is caring, if you can do that, I would appreciate you.
And I do appreciate you far beyond that for just choosing the program. That's not horseshit.
I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I've been able to spend these last few years talking about and doing what I love with a great team of people who feel the same. And we really are grateful. And we really want you to be successful.
Ultimately, at the end of the day, we win if you win. And we want you to be successful. We all have been through.
this journey and I know what it's like to have that food noise. I know what it's like to feel
uncomfortable. I know what it's like to not want to leave the house. I know what it's like to not
want to get to know someone because I just don't know myself and I feel uncomfortable in myself.
And more than anything, you can change. You can change any area of your life. You are capable
of change. You can do this. You are doing this. I'm going to also be checking in throughout
the weekend as well. So you're not rid of me yet. You're not rid of me yet.
But I hope you have a great rest of your day.
If you are taking off the weekend, I hope you enjoy the weekend.
And if I don't see you until the next live session, I'm not worried about you because
you're going to do great.
You're going to do great.
Thanks, everyone.
I appreciate you.
Until next time, bye.
