Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Gina Livy and welcome to the Livy Method podcast. This is where you'll have access to all of the live streams from my 91 day weight loss program. With a combination of daily lives, guest expert interviews and member stories, there is something new almost every day. Miss the morning live? Want to re-listen to one of our amazing guest experts? Well, this is the place. This podcast is hosted on Acast, but it's available on all podcast platforms, including the one you're listening to right now, Spotify, Apple,
Starting point is 00:00:31 and Amazon Music. Hello, all my people in maintenance. How are you doing. How has the last 12 weeks been? How are you feeling? If you have any questions, let me know. So over in the weight loss program, we're talking about the maintenance program. That's what this week is all about. If you remember to when you did your last weight loss program, we're talking maintenance this week.
Starting point is 00:01:04 And so a lot of things has changed in the maintenance group itself. We now have a fully working maintenance program. We are working on a maintenance program app for you as well. As you may have noticed, we've reworked a lot of the information. We have a book that we're working on. So we're working to take all the maintenance information, put it into a book, and we're looking to have an app ready to go for this spring. I know we're actually going to be talking about this in our Way and Wednesday conversation. We're going to be making some changes there.
Starting point is 00:01:34 So the next maintenance program is going to start on January 6th in line with the weight loss program itself. Obviously, if you're in the maintenance group, you do not need to sign up for that because the way we have it structured is you paid the one price $75 to get into the group and you can do as many rounds of the weight loss program now as you need. Essentially, I want to say for free because you paid your $75 to get into the program, but we came up with that when we only had the support group itself. And so we're going to change the structure on that. So a heads up on that.
Starting point is 00:02:10 So if you know anyone who is doing the program and maybe they're not ready for maintenance yet, the price is still $75. We're going to be bumping that up or changing that once we have our app ready to go and probably to more of a subscription service. So you buy into the maintenance program and then you can pay a subscription fee to stay in. And we're going to make sure we add guests and a whole bunch of things. So one of the things that's going to be different, here's what you need to know, is that our next round of the maintenance program is going to start January 6th.
Starting point is 00:02:43 And what's different, we're going to add all the guest experts in as well. Because I know so many of you who are a member of the maintenance program, because you're fully in maintenance are still getting the weight loss program. So you have access to all the guest experts segments, and we're going to air those in here for you. So lots of changes happening. If you have any suggestions, have any things that you'd like to see or hear from us, please let us know. I know Odette is taking notes and we're having meetings. How can we level up this maintenance program? I know we've added some great guests, but we're going to continue to do that. Okay, so if you've got any questions, let me know. Otherwise, Odette has given me some talking points
Starting point is 00:03:25 here that she wants me to cover. So one of the things you might notice is us making a change to the stages of the Libby Method. We're trying to simplify and clarify all the information. So thank you for all your feedback. We've now come up with the three stages of the Libby Method. So it used to be four. It used to be lose your weight, right with the Libby Method, do as many rounds as you need, then it was solidify your weight. So do another round of the program to solidify your weight. Then there was maintaining, right, really testing the waters, trying to understand what maintenance now looks like and feels like to you. And before you start, you know, live in your life the Libby way and move on from your weight loss journey. So for the sake of simplifying around
Starting point is 00:04:05 here, we've now turned it into three stages of the Livvy Method. So there's lose your weight with the Livvy Method weight loss program, do as many rounds as you need till you reach your goal. Then there is solidifying and maintaining. So we turn that into one stage. So this is where you're going to do as many rounds of the maintenance program as you need, then spend some time in maintenance, testing the water. So nothing really changes in terms of what you're actually doing there. You may still be in this phase, weighing yourself, asking the four questions, really, it's to get you to a point where you're ready for that third stage, which is that finally, and forever, I'm ready to move on. I have the tools, the skills
Starting point is 00:04:45 that I need to really just wake up, look good, feel good, go about my day, making the best choices possible. And when I do choose to indulge, I maybe get back on track, help my body over the indulgences and really just live your life. So if you've noticed some changes there, that's because we've made some changes there based on the feedback that we've received. I also want to do a massive shout out, given that this is our last live before the new year, to Ruth and her team and anyone who has been sitting down and chatting with Ruth and her team about maintenance. We have studied the efficacy of the Libby Method. We know the Libby Method works. We know people are losing a clinical amount of weight and we know all sorts of other great details about that from Ruth and
Starting point is 00:05:30 her team. Now we're studying maintenance. We want to really understand what people need to be able to truly maintain and sustain their weight. So thank you for everyone who's been working with Ruth and giving their feedback on that. What does living the Libby way mean? So where are we headed? What are we trying to accomplish here in the maintenance program? Something for you to think about if you spend any time at all in our maintenance program. I say that because I know some of you are new. Some of you have spent years here. We talk all the time in the weight loss program about just taking a minute, assessing where you're at, what you need, where you're going and all of that. And I think that we also want to do this in the maintenance program as well.
Starting point is 00:06:11 As the maintenance program, fall maintenance program comes to an end, you know, where are you at? How are you feeling? What have you done? What have you worked through? How do you feel about moving forward? What do you need to do to, you know, take the next steps? Are you ready to just put it all behind you and wake up and look good and feel good and go about your day and trust when to eat, what to eat, how much to eat? And if you're not feeling confident
Starting point is 00:06:35 in that, what can you do to become more confident in that, right? If there's anyone who's like, okay, I think I'm ready. I'm ready to put this whole process behind me. Where are you at? How are you feeling? Right. And then what can you do setting yourself up for success? You know, maybe it's, it's, you know, it's changing your intentions and end of day reflections into more of a gratitude situation.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Every day I'm going to, rather than set my intentions and day reflections, I'm just going to focus on things I'm grateful for, remind myself maybe to be in the moment. What are some of the things that you've been doing to help you be successful in maintenance that you can shift over to living the life that you always dreamed or living the life that you created for yourself? So what is going to support your new lifestyle moving forward? What are some of the things I'm going to keep? And what are some of the things I may be going to let go? And what are some of the new things that I'm going to add into this new way of living
Starting point is 00:07:33 for myself? Giving some thought about that, right? How do you envision yourself living your life? Are you someone that's going to continue to get up in the morning and go for a walk or do a workout? Are you going to continue to journal, although you might be journaling other things? Maybe there is taking the skills that you've learned through your weight loss journey and your maintenance journey and applying those to something new in your life. Maybe it's time to take on a new hobby. All this time and energy that you've spent on losing your weight and maintaining your weight, maybe it's time to put that into something else. I have gotten this a lot over the years where I've had people say, you know what, like I've really made a lot of changes in my life through my weight loss journey. And, you know, maybe I want to go back to school and study nutrition. Maybe I want
Starting point is 00:08:21 to become a personal trainer. Maybe all of a sudden I want to be more active in my life and run marathons. Maybe I want to start a new business. You know, I've learned a lot about myself and what makes me happy and what works for me and what doesn't. And this is a great opportunity in my life to take now a holistic view of my life and do an audit of, you know, where I'm at and how I got here and where I want to go and how I want my life and do an audit of, you know, where I'm at and how I got here and where I want to go and how I want my life in general to look once you're putting aside the weight loss, the weight maintenance part and really get to living your life. Like what does it truly mean to live my best life? What are the things that I want to do now? What are the changes that I want to make now? Maybe I'm going to start reading more often. Maybe you really enjoyed reading all the information and researching and
Starting point is 00:09:09 everything that you did in and around losing and maintaining your weight. Now you can put that kind of brainpower and energy into learning something completely different. Who knows, right? Who knows, that's for sure. One of the things that we've been talking about also in the weight loss program is make sure that you are super confident on next steps. So whether that is navigating the holidays, whether that is has you doing another round of the maintenance program in January, maybe you're just shifting over from the weight loss program into the maintenance program, you got questions about how it all works, and whatnot. So just like I tasked the people in the weight loss program, I'm going to do to you, make sure you are super
Starting point is 00:09:49 clear on next steps. So Sandra Elia is going to be back with us. She is a food addictions specialist. She's getting back on a Wednesday. I know Odette's going to stream that conversation into the maintenance group as well and talking about triggers this holiday. So how are you feeling about the holidays? Maybe you spent some time in maintenance and you feel confident yet this is the first time you're going to be experiencing the holiday season. And maybe you're feeling ways about that, you know, which is definitely is a challenge because these holidays are going to continue to roll around. They're not going, they're not going anywhere. So really feeling confident about
Starting point is 00:10:25 the holidays coming up, right? So join us for that conversation. That's going to be on Wednesday, Wednesday morning at 9am. And of course, we're going to be back Wednesday at 4pm for our way Wednesday conversation. So if you do have any questions that you have for us about the holidays, about next steps, don't be shy about reaching out. I do want to remind you that here in the maintenance program, we do have a whole team of program specialists that are here, not just to hang out, you know, and engage and have fun on our fun poster, but to really help to, you know, give you any of the support that you need as you work through your maintenance journey. I also do want to remind you as well that you can keep up with us over on our social media accounts. I know we'll be still be hanging out somewhat in the maintenance group. Odette will have some posts for you and whatnot. But you can also find us over on our social media accounts. If you haven't been following us over there, we have a Facebook account, we have our Instagram.
Starting point is 00:11:23 I know the team is starting to have to do this. we have some stuff on TikTok, but we're also on Pinterest as well. The team is always posting some new recipes and whatnot over on our Pinterest account. So you will be able to keep up with us over there. Hi, Valerie. Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. How are you? I think that's it for me. I'm going to cut it a bit short today because I think we've gone over the basics. If you do have any questions, like I said, reach out, let us know. Don't be shy. Join us on Wednesday. We're here all week. So be sure to reach out. Let us know if you have any questions because we're here for you. Otherwise, I'm going to jet you guys. I hope you have an amazing rest of your day and I'll see you. Oh, hi, Risa. There you are. Good afternoon. I'm going to jet you guys. I hope you have an amazing rest of your day and I'll see you. Oh, hi, Risa. There you are.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Good afternoon. I'm close to maintaining, but doing my sixth program in January. Okay. So I'll see if that will be the last or not. I have so many tools that I've learned now and I know I'll be successful in maintenance, right? I believe by continuing and creating new habits and changing the old ones will be key. Remembering what it was like years ago when I was maintaining for quite a while, but I
Starting point is 00:12:26 recognize what didn't work now. So grateful and looking forward to the journey when I'm going. I mean, this, right? This is exactly, this is exactly it. It's figuring out what you need. And I love that you have that, you know, this is a good thing to bring up is that many of you I know have been here before where you lost your weight and you were main, like you were working hard to maintain it. It wasn't because you weren't working hard. Obviously
Starting point is 00:12:48 it's because those way those diets were structured, but what happened there? Because there is that mental piece, right? There is that mental part of it. And this is where maintenance, as we realized is so much more than, you know, just like weight loss is so much more than what you were eating. And when maintenance is so much more than having lost your weight. It really is also about solidifying that mindset, solidifying those habits, those new habits that support your new lifestyle and all of that as well. So, well, listen, Risa, we'll be happy to have you in the maintenance group full time when you are ready to go, when you're ready to go.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Thoughts on the best way way going for 10 more, uh, thoughts on best way after being in maintenance for a while. I know the answer. Want to hear reinforcement. The best thing ever I've been maintaining and no longer stressed about the dam scale. Oh, you are going back for 10 more. Okay. So what I would do, honestly, Valerie. So, um, I don't know if you're in the, you are going back for 10 more. Okay. So what I would do, honestly, Valerie, so, um, I don't know if you're in the, you signed up for our January program. And so I would stay out of maintenance. I would stay out of, I, this is a reverse. So, cause you have your maintenance program here. I would stay out of the maintenance group and I would get into the weight loss
Starting point is 00:13:58 program and have that be your singular focus. And I would recognize you have a lot of tools and skills. Sometimes when we're confident that kind of like can get in the way a little bit, because we know we can do this. We know we can do that. We know so much about it inside out. It's hard to have a really fresh perspective. It's maintenance is harder, Risa for sure. It's hard to have that fresh perspective. So what I would do is just totally immerse you did sign up for January, totally immerse yourself in just shelve the maintenance program totally. And this happens all the time that you spend some time in maintenance and you realize you want to go for more, which is part of the maintenance conversation. But I would be in the weight loss program,
Starting point is 00:14:38 kind of wipe this slate clean, be like, what can I do to set myself up for success and get back into that weight loss mindset. Also, I would assume that it's going to work brilliantly for you. Because sometimes we bring our baggage in from trying to and that's just like, it's confusing. So I would almost when I think about you clean slate it, absolutely clean slate it, start fresh, everything across the board. Yes, you're bringing a lot with you, knowledge, but you also might be bringing a lot of baggage with you too. And that belief that, oh, like you've been trying to do this and you're having a hard time doing it. And this is why I think you're trying to find your way in amongst the confusion. I don't know, not that you're confused, but the clutter and the noise.
Starting point is 00:15:27 There's a lot of noise. Sometimes when we know a lot, there's a lot we could do. And there's a lot of noise involved in that. So when I think of you, I think absolutely clean slate at fresh start. And yes, you're going to have those underlying knowledge. So you're just pretend it's your first program. And yes, you're bringing in a those underlying knowledge. So you're just pretend it's your first program. And yes, you're bringing in a certain amount of knowledge. You're super knowledgeable. But in terms of like how you're approaching the program, fresh start it. Not, oh, I should do this.
Starting point is 00:15:56 I should do that. I know this. I know that. And really, truly try to meet yourself where you are at in the moment. Like when that program starts January 6, read over all the information again, like you've never read it before, because it's going to hit different based on where you're at, right? Really let go of what you did before the breakfast you ate before the snacks you had before, like let go of all of it. And be like, okay, I'm here right now. What do I need right now today to do, right?
Starting point is 00:16:29 And then take it day by day. And I think it's that clean slate, fresh approach. So there will be that underlying base of knowledge, right? You will definitely have that advantage already knowing everything that you know, but I would clean slate it in terms of reading all the posts over again, listen to all of the check-in videos, the lives, you can make or break the lives, whatever, the guest segments, all with a lost mindset, with a lost mindset. I'm so glad I asked this. I didn't expect this answer, right? Love this. Clean slate is definitely what I need.
Starting point is 00:17:01 I do still deal with noise. Yeah, that's exactly, that's how I feel, right? It's a lot of noise. Sometimes in knowing so much, there's so many paths forward and things you can do. I just say, you just turn the page on it, clean slate it and be like, okay, here I am, day one. And again, let go of what you did before, what didn't work before, what didn't work.
Starting point is 00:17:20 I wouldn't even go into that. I wouldn't even be like, assess what worked for you and didn't work for you. I would do none of that. I would just completely be like, okay, I'm here right now. What do I need to do? And then just be, yeah, I eat the same thing every day. This is great advice, right? Yeah. Let go all of it. Even your go-to food. Yeah, exactly. Let go all of it and let go of what worked, what didn't work, all of that. Um, because you're, you took a step back and then you're coming back in and that's a lot of stuff to bring with you. So I wouldn't even
Starting point is 00:17:48 bother bringing it with you because that, yeah, that's what I would do. That's what I would do. Yeah. That helped. That's what I think. And sometimes we need that. Sometimes you take the step back because you know, now you're ready to dive in deeper. You can level up even more. Um, and I have a, I have a feeling it's about that deep belief system to that deep belief system, right? Thank you. You're welcome. Hi, you guys. If you're good for questions, I'm going to jet. Uh, I got to head downtown today. I got to things I got to do. I got some situations going on with my kids. I got to deal with and whatnot. Um, but I can be back on Wednesday. So I'm going to join the team on Wednesday for our weigh-in. We got some changes. So here's what I want you to
Starting point is 00:18:27 know for our takeaway. You got any, I don't know if we're doing a survey in this group, but I want to hear from you. Hi, Nikki. Hi, Nikki McRobbie. How are you? How's it going? Here's my ask for you. So there's some things that we're doing that are new. So let me see if I can. So we've done this maintenance program a couple times, right? So brand new, fresh information in the maintenance program. We're going to run a maintenance program, just like old school, like I used to do weight loss program in line with the weight loss program. So we don't have an app yet, but we have a proper maintenance program. So the next maintenance program is going to start January 6. If you want to do another round of the maintenance program to solidify your weight,
Starting point is 00:19:07 or do as many rounds as you need to solidify your weight until you feel confident, or maybe you're in that just testing the waters, feeling out maintenance, less structured, personalizing the plan before you're ready to move on. So one of the things that we're going to do is we're going to take all that information that's in the now maintenance program, because it's different, put it in a book. The other thing that we're going to do is we are going to create a maintenance app or a maintenance program within the app. We're hoping to get that out for the spring. And so the other thing we're going to do on top of that, now this will not matter to anyone who's already in the maintenance
Starting point is 00:19:40 program, because you already paid your $75 price and you're in. And many of you did that when we didn't even have a maintenance program, we were just a maintenance support group. And so that's not going to change. But one of the things that we are thinking of doing is rather than a $75 every time you sign up for the maintenance program is that you make access to the maintenance program, which includes the app and all of that. And then once you're into the support group is maybe a subscription service for ongoing content, ongoing services and whatnot, obviously continuing to keep the prices affordable and accessible and all of that. So we're playing around with the price structure of the maintenance program now that we have a more actual solidified product to offer. I think we wanted to under promise over deliver in the past. And now that we're, you know, we've spent the last couple of years refining and defining the maintenance program itself, it's
Starting point is 00:20:38 time to offer it as a proper product per se. So if you got any thoughts on that, please let us know. You know, unlike the weight loss program, where I kind of don't want to hear people's opinions until they are done. This is a little different. You've been through our weight loss program, you've been here in maintenance, a lot of the changes that we've made and the maintenance program itself came out of all the feedback from our incredible members. And so obviously, our goal is to not just have the number one weight loss company in the world, but to offer a maintenance program that really helps people move on past their weight loss journey. As you know, maintenance for some is more work than the actual weight loss part of it. And I think if we could really nail down,
Starting point is 00:21:21 clarify, simplify maintenance, that's going to really help people, really help people. I honestly, I like that idea. I do think eventually we need to move on, but I never want to leave. Yeah. Right. And so I do want to get around to my third group. I want to start talking about what happens after you're done, right? Like just go, but we have such an amazing community and we have access to our incredible guests. I think that's always going to be a value and people will want to be part of that. And that's what we thought. So many people don't want to leave.
Starting point is 00:21:58 But how do we continue to add value and add content and make it something worth people wanting to stick around for? So we are thinking of things like that. Maybe it's our turning our because our app costs money for people to use it even when it's free. And so as obviously, that's not very viable as a business, but maybe there's a way that we can rather than have the app turn into general tracking mode, or people use it in maintenance, then it tracks it turns into a more robust, general tracking mode that people continue to use. So these are some of the ideas that we have, right?
Starting point is 00:22:25 Yeah. Maintenance is huge. I know having the support long-term will be beneficial, right? The new structure will be great, honestly. Yeah. So, but you guys are all a big part of that. So before I go, please let us know if you got any thoughts about that. Do not be shy about reaching out. You can actually send us an email to weightlossatginalivy.com. If you have like a lot of thoughts, just say maintenance thoughts as per Gina and my team will send it to me and Odette and we can read over that. If you want to add just randomly on posts or check in videos, I'll maybe get Odette to do a more kind of formal post thoughts on changing the structure. We want to hear from you. We want to hear from you.
Starting point is 00:23:02 So I do want to say thank you so much everyone for just being here and being you indulging me in indulging me in all these conversations. At least if I gain two pounds over our goal, we don't have to resign. Like, you know, you're right. We're not going to kick you out just because your weight fluctuates. I don't know. Also, you don't need a lifetime membership to lose your weight, but maybe you need a lifetime membership to maintain and sustain your weight. Maybe that's the thing. I don't know. I don't know, but we'll figure it out together. Okay, everyone, I'm going to see you on Wednesday. So I'm not going to say goodbye quite yet, but I do wish everyone a happy holiday season. Make sure you are super clear. Like I said,
Starting point is 00:23:42 on next steps, reach out in the group and let us know. Thanks for joining me today. And as always have a great rest of your day, everyone. Bye.
