Hello and happy Monday, all of our amazing members in maintenance. How are you doing?
Gosh, it feels like I have not been here for a while. I think the long weekends and whatnot.
Anyway, if you're joining me live, if you've got any questions, hit me up. I do have some notes.
Of course, Odette has given me some notes, some questions that some of you have asked that I'm
going to run through. We are in week five of the program. So if you are doing another round of the
weight loss program in order to solidify your weight for the sake of maintenance, the focus
this week is on leveling up and maximizing. Of course, continuing to really be in tune those portions is
where you're still asking those four questions, really trying to be as in tune as possible.
But leveling up can mean so many different things. Now that you're no longer looking to lose weight,
what are the things that you can do to level up your health and wellness? So it's really about
that perspective. And mindset. Now that you
are no longer looking to lose, of course you want to solidify the weight that you've lost,
but there's so much you can do to level up. I mean, isn't that the whole reason that you would
redo the program again for the sake of solidifying your weight? So again, for anyone listening,
four stages to the Libby method, lose your weight, which check you've done that if you're
listening to this conversation or you're well on your way for listening to the Libby method. Lose your weight, which check you've done that if you're listening to this conversation or you're well on your way for listening to the conversation. Solidify your
weight. That's where you're putting the time into making your new weight, your new norm.
You want to put at least three months into that, but some people can take a lot longer.
Then there's that third stage of maintenance, trusting, testing the waters and trusting and
learning to understand what maintenance now looks like and feels like to you.
And then there's that fourth stage, just living your life, living the Livvy way, waking up, looking good, feeling good, knowing that you can trust your, you're to continue to work through your issues and associations, to continue to reinforce those, you know, habits to continue to work through those
beliefs, you know, maybe maybe the belief of you, you know, you've lost your weight when you had
that belief that you wouldn't be able to and now maybe working through that belief that even though
you've lost it, you won't be able to maintain it. Or even if you now believe that you can maintain it, are you worthy of that? Right? So it really is an opportunity to work
through a lot of those fields. So for so many reasons, just redoing the program again to
solidify your weight is leveling up, is leveling up. But how can we dig in even deeper, level up
even more? So this is where I'm going to remind you about maximizing that conversation, maximizing in maintenance, right? Well, how are you making out on your stress
on your sleep in the live in the weight loss group this morning, I talked about,
there's a couple of things that you want to do at the beginning of each week, you know,
really highlight the things that you are proud of. And they don't have to even be proactive things in
terms of your weight, or maintaining your weight, it could be, you know, proud of, you know, anything else that you are doing in your life,
showing up for yourself, being mindful, being grateful, you know, proud that you got your
garden set up this week, proud that you cleaned your house, which is like organizing your
mind, you know, leveling up all the things that you can do to level up.
Also taking a look at that maximizing, right?
That maximizing checklist, I suggest too.
It's like, okay, given where I'm at and what's going on in my life, what can I best do to
support myself?
And so doing that at the beginning of each week, I think these are things that I do in
my life.
Forget weight loss maintenance, right?
Things I do in my life is I sit down with a pen and paper and
write down things that, you know, I'm proud of that are, that are working really well,
things that I, you know, want to continue to work on in my life. So this is where it really gives
you an opportunity to be able to do that. Hi everyone. Hi, Jessica. Hi, Nicole. Hi, Edna.
Hi, Valerie. Hi, Robert. Hi, Jessica. Hello. Hello. Hello. Who else? Christine. I want to say hi to Christine
who joined us, who is the first one in today. Hello, Gina. Gina, yes, for real. I may have
a longer journey than some, but I'm so thankful I've taken the time to work through all the past
diet crap and I'm definitely leveling up my mental and psychological game. I'm such a better place.
So a couple of things, Valerie, I'm so grateful for you being here and you just really validating why maintenance is so important
and why maintenance can be more work than actual weight loss part of it. And you've been so vocal
in your journey and trying to figure out what your body needs. The mental part is no joke,
because if you take the time that it took to lose your weight
which is quite quick even if it took you a year or more that's still pretty quick given the time
that you spent trying to lose the weight or why you gain the weight in the first place again it's
complicated because we use food for so many things we use food to well we need it to survive so that
complicates it to show love to celebrate to soothe to cope to survive. So that complicates it, to show love, to celebrate,
to soothe, to cope, to, for so many things. And then our connection with foods since we were a baby, right? Like, I don't know about you with my kids, but I would like jam that bottle down
their throats, try to get them to sleep all night, you know, put a little extra formula in there.
You know, my kid's dad's mom was here yesterday. And I remember she was like,
put some like oats in that milk to help them sleep. So you know, making sure they're fully
full so that they don't wake up five minutes later, and they're able to sleep longer. You
know, making our kids eat everything on their plate, you know, not if they are hungry, and
especially that they're hungry, making them wait until dinner
in order to eat.
So the issues go deep and they go way back, right?
Learning to embrace gratitude has changed my life.
Yeah.
I'm doing so much research.
I wouldn't say research because that's kind of like not really researching, but really
looking into your brain and how your brain is wired.
We talk about this a lot, right?
How we are unlearning and relearning and learning new things. Then when it comes to weight loss,
we're rewiring how your body's come to function and rewire your brain. One of the things I was
talking about this morning in the weight loss live as well, and that like rewiring your brain part.
And, you know, we've done a lot of this with Dr. Beverly David, who is our psychologist
in the weight loss program, and just that rewiring of your brain. And that's why I love the structure
of the program, the process, and even when you're in maintenance, again, another way to level up.
So if you're redoing the program, again, for the sake of maintaining, right, leveling up can be
like what's happening in your brain and
your associations to things. So this is where when you are more proud of the things that you're doing,
and you are more grateful, you are starting to see also those more and more glimmers, right?
Those because you what you what you resist, persist, what you focus on is really what you see.
And if you are able to focus on more positive things in your life,
I don't really like that positive versus negative, but you know, the things that you are grateful for,
the things that you are proud of, you tend to find more things that you are grateful for.
You tend to be proud of and continue to do the things that you are proud of. Right. Okay. So I do, um, ow, sorry.
Sorry.
I hurt my back.
My back is, I hurt my back again.
It was doing okay.
And then, um, I went to Montreal last weekend for my birthday and I was in a car for five hours there and five hours back, which probably wasn't a great idea.
So I've hurt my back again.
I'm going to go to the Cairo this afternoon.
So, so it's not you, it's me. If you see me kind of tensing up and I have a grimace
on my face. Uh, hi Tammy. Hello everyone. Happy to catch you live. It's been too long. I've missed
the energetic vibe here. Yes. Okay. So one of the things I wanted since Robert's here, um, I I'll
get into, uh, Robert's question first. I'm trying not to be frustrated by the fluctuations in my
weight. Okay. Yesterday I saw a slight downward trend and this morning up question first. I'm trying not to be frustrated by the fluctuations in my weight.
Okay.
Yesterday I saw a slight downward trend and this morning up two pounds.
I'm going to step away from the scale this week and depend on how I feel.
I have been doing back on track this week.
Instead, I will focus on portion size and how I feel during and after each meal and snack.
I have a busy week ahead, so there may be very little time to sit on my bottom.
I've tried to go through the maximizing questions, but that only stresses me out.
Okay.
Yeah, because you're putting pressure on yourself.
So this is, there's a lot here.
So let's unpack all of this.
So again, the maximizing questions are really just for you to check yourself, to look for
areas of opportunity.
What, before you go into the maximizing checklist, you have to ask yourself where, what's going on in my
life? Where am I at right now? Right? Like, how am I feeling? What's going on? Like, was I sick
last week? Am I dealing with something super stressful? Like what do you do? Do you have back
pain? Like what is going on in my life? Where am I at? Is this a particularly emotional time in
your life right now? Like what what is going on? And what
do you need? And that's where the maximizing is really just to remind you, oh, yeah, I am not
getting great sleep because I'm stressed out about this or that. And reminding yourself, okay, I've
gotten back into that habit of, you know, maybe having a glass of wine every night before bed,
and you're starting to realize, okay, that is messing with my sleep, or I've got into the habit again of snacking,
you know, in the evening, or I'm working on a project, and I'm so hyper focused on it that I'm
forgetting to remind myself or tune in to my hunger levels, right. And so that's really what
that is about. It's not what more can you do? What are you not doing? Or what are you doing wrong? It is just be like, okay, let's let's take a moment in my
life right now. Where am I at? What's going on for me? Let's take a minute. So I have had a lot of
stress going on the last couple couple weeks in knowing that the year anniversary of my kid's dad
passing was yesterday. And I feel like a different person today, honestly, because I think it was really weighing on me. It
was also a bit of a traumatic experience with me because I spent the last couple days of his life
with him at the hospital. And so there was a bit of a trauma experience that was being brought up
physically. So is my back really because I drove to Montreal for five
hours? Or is it because I I'm carrying a lot of internal stress, and you know, pain for lack of a
better word emotionally. Right? I'm also my hormones are, you know, I'm 51. And I just turned
51 last week. And so my hormones are a little off. My digestive system is off. And when I drink alcohol, it just makes it worse. So high stress, drinking alcohol causes my
hormones to just be a disaster, right? So I could be hard on myself and be like, oh my God, what's
fucking wrong with me? Or I could show myself some compassion in recognizing, okay, this is a lot. This is
actually something that I learned last week. And you'd think I would know this. So I went to my
chiropractor and I talked about my stress. This has been an amazing year for me. I was Canada's
top 100 most powerful women. We were just on the dragon's den. Like there's a lot of amazing things
that have happened in my life. And then there's also been a lot of stress and a lot of trauma trying to navigate, you
know, help these four kids through the death of their father.
And so it's been a lot.
And what my chiropractor, Dr. Tam, said to me is like, it's still stress.
The good stuff.
I said, but yeah, there's been a lot of good stress in my life.
And he said, yes, but it's still stress, even though it's all good stuff.
Your body doesn't know the good stuff from the quote stress, even though it's all good stuff. Your body doesn't
know the good stuff from the quote unquote bad stuff. It's just all stress. And I was like,
because I was starting to say to Tony, I feel like I'm living my life stressed all the time.
I am like happy. I have an amazing life. I am so blessed. That's the thing. I love what I do for my job. I have an amazing husband. I love my
family. I get to do amazing, wonderful things, right? But yet I'm living my life like stressed
every day and not really understanding that the good stress is just as stressful as the bad stress.
And then I talked to my therapist as I was coming up on the anniversary. And she's like,
you, you've been living in a state
of kind of shock and hyper vigilance. You have to be, you have been there for four people,
four people, really, you add my, you know, my ex's sister into the mix and his mom into the mix. And
just when one kid's okay, the next one is going on. So I've been living in a state of hyper
vigilance. And then getting on myself, what's fucking wrong with me? Why can't I do this? Why can't I whatever?
So it's not even about self care. It's not even about self love. Sometimes it's about self
compassion, and having compassion, because we all we try to self care our way out of it.
Right? And like, I love myself, I don't have any hatred for myself.
I love myself, right? But I'm not compassionate towards myself. So there's a lot going on there.
So when it comes to maximizing, bringing it full circle back to maximizing, that's what this is
about. Where am I at? What's going on in my life right now? Like, I would love to go to the gym,
hit it hard, get a good sweat. I can't, my back hurts. The other day I tried to go for a walk. I go for a walk and my back hurts. So it's just kind of like,
fuck me. But what can I do? I can stop drinking wine. I can make sure that I'm reading a book
rather than being on my phone. I can take a step back from things that stress me out. I can let people help
me. So there's that. So that's really what, that's how I look at maximizing what, this is just a
reminder of things that I can do to help support myself. So they're not meant to stress you out.
Okay. Um, so framing that might make a difference. Um, the up and down the fluctuations on the scale.
So this is where like Robert, you're, you're a rock star, right? You know what to do with the food, you know, you know what to do. So what is causing those fluctuations? It could be things that you're not even aware of. Like, so maybe you indulged, yes, that maybe you were in the garden, or maybe you did some yard work where your body is sore, and your weight is up from that, right? Or the weather has been a lot nicer. So it's been hot. So, you know,
whereas you're drinking a certain amount of water before you might need to bump that up a little bit,
right? Maybe you need to, you're having an extra stressful week, so you need to bump up your good
fats. So a lot of times we get stuck on that. So again, going back to the question, try not to be
frustrated by the fluctuations in my weight. So what are you really fluctuate? What are you really
frustrated about? Because I mean, you know, fluctuations are normal. They're expected. Your weight is always going to fluctuate even in
maintenance. So where, what's, what's, let's dig a little deeper and be like, what, what is going on?
What, where, where's the frustration coming from? It's not in the fluctuations of the scale. What is
it? Is it in the fluctuations of life? You just want to like feel good and stay feeling good.
Like, well Like what is
going on? That's where, you know, at this point with where you're at, that's where you want to
go deeper. What is this frustration about? We are associating it with fluctuations in your weight,
but really where's that coming from? Yesterday saw a slight downward trend and this morning up two
pounds. So remember it is also normal for your weight to go up before it drops, even though that two pounds is probably not real weight gain, right? This is still where
your body can be retaining water in order to detox. So it just comes back to detoxing. So
whether it's a few drinks, some salty food, hard to digest food, whatever that might be, you know,
your body is trying to detox, whatever it's a cold or flu or virus or whatever that is,
your body is
retaining water in order to do that. And so this can come down to you worked extra hard last weekend
in the garden. I don't even know if you garden, but I'm just kind of putting that out there.
And maybe you didn't get your water in. So your body is sore. You didn't get water in,
you have a bit of a backlog of foods. And now that, you know, your weight is dropping right
back down, your body's retaining water because you're still playing catch up on that, you know, your weight is dropping right back down. Your body's retaining water because you're still playing catch up on that. You know? Um, I'm going to step away from the scale this week
and depend on how I feel. So I love this. I love this. I don't know if you remember, but the last
in the, you know, a few months ago, we did that three day, no way. I want you to get to a place
in maintenance. Although I do respect some people continue to get on the scale because they just, they,
they're, it's a way of celebrating.
They love to see that number, even with its fluctuations.
They're just like, I love getting on the scale.
Great.
If you feel like you need the scale to keep you in check, that's fine too.
I want you to get to a place where you don't need the scale to tell you how you feel.
You already know your choices. You know, you know you how you feel. You already know your choices,
you know, you know how you're feeling, you know what your body needs. Why don't you put,
before you go off the scale, you might want to say, let's play the guessing game on the scale.
Like, let's play, like, I can guess, I know what my weight is. I don't have to get on a scale to
know what my fucking weight is. I don't, I don't have to do that. And so what, maybe what you can
do, there's some middle ground and say, hey, let's play the guess my weight game. And so you can take a week or whatever and be
like, okay, today I think my weight is, and then get on the scale. Right. And then think about
based on, okay, let me, before I get on the scale, based on how I'm feeling, the sleep I got, the
water that I'm drinking foods, what's going on my life, what, like how I'm feeling in my body,
what do I think my weight is? Guess it, get on the scale, right? And that because you really want to get to a place where you don't need the scale to tell you,
you already know, you you already know exactly what's going on. But if you want to, if you want
to go without that scale, I'm a big fan of that. I'm a big you don't need it. This is the hunk of
metal. It's not doing shit. It's not telling you nothing. And if you those little fluctuations are
like, it's just maybe you're like a type and you're like, you want to see that number you want
to get there because you know, you're good and you you've like undone what you did,
right? And reality, it's not about undoing what you did. It's just a matter of getting your body
body back to a point where you're feeling good again. So I would rather you have it be about
that I went off track or whatever. I don't like on track off track, but you know what I mean?
You indulge whatever happened, you know, your weight has gone up, you know, that's where you
also want to look into like, if you didn't indulge, why is your weight up? What's
going on? Right? Like what's what's happening there? What chances are has nothing to do with
what you're eating or not. And so I love it making about how you feel. So just make it about how you
feel getting back if you just make it back to feeling good. And remember, that is the downside
of this whole process is once you get to feel really good, you're like, I feel amazing. And then when you feel even slightly off, you'll feel like you can feel like really off. From meditating at your kid's game to mastering a
strength program, they've got everything you need to keep knocking down your goals. No pressure to
be who you're not, just workouts and classes to strengthen who you are. So no matter your era,
make it your best with Peloton. Find your push. Find your power. Peloton. Visit Peloton at onepeloton.ca. work, tired, something going on. So your body is a messenger. Your body is a messenger. What is
going on? And you are so in tune. You know yourself better than anyone else. What is going on with you?
Right? Do you feel like you are having a hard time supporting yourself? Right? Like it's a lot.
It's too much. Like sometimes we do have to kind of put ourselves first and be
like, okay, what, what is happening here? Do you feel like you can't stand on your own two feet?
Like what is, what's going on? Right. And that's where you got to get deep, deep, deep into that
and be like, okay, what is, where am I at? What's going on? It's not about the scale, right? It's
not about the scale. Robert, dig deep, have faith. I went
through a phase like this. There's always a reason you'll get to the other side. Yeah.
Right. So that's, that's like that you're, it's just a mess. Everything, you know, you, I, you
know, this, it's just a messenger, right? What, what is the message that you are to receive in
this? And in terms of your body, you are in tune. If something feels off, something is off. That's
where I'm saying to you, you're a rock star.
You got this.
You know what's going on.
So that's not where this is coming from.
So where is that coming from?
What do you need to do?
I remember that we're here for you.
Remember that we're here for you.
I want to get into this question from Frankie.
So here's my question for Gina that I've been thinking about over the past month or so.
Do you envision the future maintenance group?
You had mentioned you would love to start another group down the road as one where the
focus is centered on lifestyle, including, of course, health, nutrition, exercise, inspirational
ideas and topics, and perhaps maintenance tips, but not where maintenance and weight
loss are combined discussions.
I am trying to actively participate.
I also trying to move forward thinking, reading about weight loss so frequently.
I love this community and totally understand the need for both conversations as you enter
maintenance and navigate through it.
I needed it.
Still do need to straddle both sometimes.
Just trying to shift my daily thinking and wondering about the evolution.
I hope this makes sense.
This makes so much sense.
I am itching and antsy to create that.
There's a couple of things.
Our community is amazing.
It's just incredible.
I mean, truly, truly.
The connection in our community is just, it's just, I think it's very special.
And it's because people are working really hard to be them best selves and
are also very giving as well by commenting, supporting, asking questions, being vulnerable
in your own chairs so we can all learn something. And it just works really, really well. And so I
can see people wanting to stay within the community or stay within this kind of
like space. And so there's losing weight, there's solidifying and maintaining your weight, and then
there's living your life. And I think that there is a need for the same space just to navigate life.
And so this is where I want to do a third group or a place for people
to go a Disneyland. Do you know what I mean? Like a place where we can talk about the work that you
need to continue to do to prioritize yourself to continue to love yourself to continue to work
through other issues and associations and habits and beliefs and traumas,
and just a place to really focus on living your best life. Like just honestly, whether it is food
or skincare or lifestyle, you know, I, I, I am itching to create that third space because I
think it's needed because you need to
have a roadmap of really where you're trying to get to. Disneyland isn't maintenance. Disneyland
is the go live your life part of it really, right? It's driving to Disneyland, you know,
like, yeah, lose your weight, get the lay of the land and then, you know, go live your life. So
I am, there's a couple of things I want to, I want to add structure to the maintenance program proper. So I want to create a
maintenance program so that after people are done doing the weight loss program, as opposed to
redoing another round, we would create a maintenance program. Same but different. We're all the verbiage
and terminology is around doing the things that you are doing for the sake of maintenance and to have the app be able to guide you through that as well. Because right now,
once you're done the weight loss program, the app works as a general tracker. So I want to create a
maintenance program proper for the sake of solidifying the weight. And then the maintenance
group where people continue to focus on maintenance, ask questions regards to maintenance,
especially if they're in that third stage of like testing the waters type of thing. And then I want there to be another group.
I'm just been I thought I was ready for that in January. And then I just decided I want to put
more, more thought into maintenance. And before I kind of skip to that next step, because still
really learning every day, but what people need in order to maintain and sustain their weight. But that's the plan is to go to that third, that third space, that kind of ecosystem
where we get to stay within the community, but we get to focus on other things. Cause you know how
I always say, imagine if you put this kind of time and energy that you've put into losing your weight
into other things in your life, your business,
your travel, your family, your, you know, like even just your personal health and wellness,
your spiritual journey. Like if you put this kind of time and energy that you put into losing weight
into that, I mean, that truly is where my passion lies. My passion lies in helping people
have more fun in life, into knowing
that they can do whatever they want to do in their lives. Like this is why I am on a mission to live
this extraordinary life. The problem is that I'm so wrapped up in the stress of it, I'm not actually
even enjoying it. So even when you do create this amazing life for you, it's your issues and your
associations and your beliefs and your past
shit that is keeping you from enjoying it. Like this is what I'm doing in real life. I have created
this amazing life for myself and I am struggling to find joy in it. That's fucked up because I am
continuing to work through my issues and associates. I think it's, it's never ending. Life is always about learning and, you know, working through your shit and learning what you
need to learn in order to move forward and evolve. Right. So yeah, so I am, if that answers your
question, I am itching to get that third program. It's just bandwidth of like, okay. Cause I, like,
I think there's a whole other set, like I'm working on guests for
the maintenance group, because I think it's a bit of a different conversation. And then I want to
work on, you know, incorporating all sorts of amazing people, you know, to come have conversations
with us in that third space, whatever that might be. One of the things I'm working on, just full
transparency, is that I want to, I want to work on like on maybe like a hormone session,
like a hormone thing, get my guests together
and do a more concentrated learning.
So I'm toying with something like that.
I'm going to do these mini groups with our guests too.
So I'm kind of working on that sort of on my roadmap.
So that's what I'm working on.
Robert and Nicole, I love you guys.
I love you guys. I'm still happy to be here. Hi,
Frankie. Along the way, the new app will also be so exciting. We are here when you're ready. Yeah.
So we're working on some really, basically I figured out the algorithm for healthy,
sustainable weight loss. And so we want to use all this new, exciting technology in the AI space to really help people, um, just personalize and customize their journey, which would, I got
all sorts of great ideas that I'm thinking about. Life should always be about learning. Can you
guess that I'm a teacher? I, yes. And I just think like I'm, I'm learning. I just picked up a bunch
of new books for so long, for so long. I did not really, unless it was like science-based,
I wasn't really paying attention
to what was going on with other diets and the conversation that was happening because I knew
the conversation that needed to happen and the conversation we needed to have. And we've been
having that conversation in, you know, for the last four or five years. And, but now what's
really interesting is it's caught up. The diet industry is finally catching up to what I've
been saying for years. And it's really interesting because The diet industry is finally catching up to what I've been saying for years.
And it's really interesting because now the conversation is evolving past that. What's
happening in your microbiome, for example, what's happening in the neuroplasticity of your brain.
It's really cool as we kind of really dig in and understand that we lost so much more than
calories. It was such a calories in versus calories out world for so long. I was like,
fuck that shit. I don't have the, I don't need to, no one is saying anything new, but even
I'm really excited, um, about learning, learning more. I think that you, I never want to get to a
place where I know it all. I can't even imagine getting there. So my life just continues to
challenge me. Um, so yeah, so I, I just think that you can just
build, it's about love. So my whole life is about leveling up. Everything's about leveling up.
So I start with one thing that works. I build on that. I keep building, I keep building it.
Even with business, I was like, okay, if I can make $10, I can make a hundred dollars. If I can
make a hundred dollars, I can make a thousand dollars. If I can make a thousand dollars,
I can make $10,000. If I can make $10,000, I can make a hundred thousand dollars. If I can make $10, I can make $100. If I can make $100, I can make $1,000. If I can make $1,000, I can make $10,000.
If I can make $10,000, I can make $100,000.
If I can make $100,000, I can make a million dollars.
Sometimes, you know, people give me a hard time,
which is very interesting to me because I, you know,
I want to run a very successful business.
I want to make a lot of money.
I want to fly first class all over the world.
I want to have nice things.
I want freedom.
I want like, and I think there's like different scales of that.
Like it hasn't, and sometimes people give me flack for that.
And I'm just like, well, don't you want to do better in your life?
Don't you want to do better in your job?
Don't you want to make more money?
Don't you want to do more, more?
And so sometimes I really keep myself small in that sense.
And, you know, being mindful of other people not having the same, but then I
just like, don't we all just want to aspire for more and not that it has to be not that you need
more to be happy. You don't need more to be happy. And I think that's the basis. This is where self
love is the most important thing. I have been happy with nothing. I am no, I am not any happier now that I am more financially
successful than I was when I was broke and had my car repossessed. Like my, my, my level of
happiness, like I still have moments where I am happy. My self-love for myself has never changed,
right? So, you know, I love myself now. Am I critical of myself? Yes. Do I want to make
changes? Yes, I do. But there's that base of self-love. I think that's where my confidence has come from.
And so this is what I want to, you know, this is the conversations that, you know, in all of our
own ways, what leveling up means to you might be leveling up different what means to someone else
and then different to them, right? So this is why I'm saying it's all just everybody waking up trying
to truly live their best lives. That's what that's about. Whatever that means to you at the end of
the day, you know, I got to go. Got a jet, got another dog to walk before it pours. Yeah, it's
totally raining here. You deserve to fly first class. Everybody deserves it. Everybody deserves,
everybody deserves the best of what their life can offer.
And the thing is, is that I've known what I wanted to do, but I didn't know how I was
going to get there.
And it was literally the things that we are doing with the weight loss program, prioritizing
yourself, setting your intentions, end of day reflections, making as many choices as
possible each day.
If you were to ask me, which people do, how did you get from there to where you are now? I don't know, but I do know it was in all those
little steps. So whether you're, you're losing your weight, you're maintaining your weight,
you are testing the waters with your weight, or you are living your life, right? I don't think
the learning ever stops. I think that if you have an idea and a dream of something, then you know, that's like
your beacon, that's your shining light. Now you may never, I was thinking about this the other
day, I may never become the number one weight loss company in the world, but I am sure as shit
going to try and I'm probably going to accomplish a lot along the way. So if I am, if for whatever
reason, not looking at me, I'm having a hard time even saying it because I believe so wholeheartedly that I will be that if by chance, I don't, it's still, I don't know necessarily that
I meant to reach that goal. That goal is my light. It's my, it's my light. It's what I'm going for
in my life, right? It's the path. It's lighting, it's lighting up the path or the road or whatever
that might be. I feel this Gina, I was an entry level executive job
and sacrifice so much for my kids growing up, but they so appreciate it so much now. Yeah,
right. Like it's same. Oh my God, it could totally get into the sacrifice thing for sure.
This plan naturally helps you level up the other stuff. Yeah, it makes you prioritize yourself,
be aware of what's going on with your life. It makes you understand that it's only it's only you, it's your job to show up and do what you need to do, figure out what's going on,
you know, and what you can do about it. It's up to you to decide what you are, what you have in
mind for your life. It's up for you to decide what's going to make you happy at the end of the
day. Uh, I was asked at a wellness spa a while back, why do you think giving back and making money, so doing well are mutually exclusive? Why do you think giving back and making money,
doing well are mutually exclusive? Great question for me at the time. It is okay to work hard,
give back and enjoy nice things. Growing up in a family of public servants, it took me a while to
reconcile this. You work hard and enjoy it. That's a really like money is a whole other thing we can get into, right? A lot of people were
taught money was bad. You know, you know, I, so I've never been motivated by money. I've never
been motivated. I used to work, I would never collect money from clients. Like I literally,
like I don't like asking for money. I've never been motivated by money. But I also want, I'm getting at a point in my life where I want, like, I don't want a
house full of like a whole bunch of things.
I just want a house that brings me joy.
I want to be able to do all the things that I want to do in life.
I lived, like I lived pinching every penny when I was trying to raise my kids.
I vowed that I never want to go to a grocery store again
and sit there and wonder if there's enough money in my account and do the math in my head knowing
there's a certain amount of money in my account. So that was like the promise that I made to myself
moving forward is that once I had a bit more control, because when I was with someone else,
the kid's dad, he was like, would spend money all the time. And then he was the worst with money. And so then when I finally had control, for lack of a better word,
over my own finances, I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't, but I don't think they are. I do
believe that there is a give and take in life. I do believe that you have to give. I think there
was an equal and opposite reaction. I really do. And I think that there has to be an exchange of
some sort. Like there, there's got to
be some sort of exchange, like even for people, the program. So when I first charged a $60,
it was really a buy in. It was like, you had to go out of your way in order to sign up because
that was your buy into the program. I essentially give the program away for free. I always have pretty much.
I mean, can you go scour the internet and piece it together if you want to. But to me, that $60
was that buy in. So there's that that sort of that exchange, right? But yeah, but that's,
that's a whole other thing. I know I got to go I got to get into that. See that this is a
conversation I would like to have in that third group is our
relationship with money and success and feeling worthy and all of that. That's a perfect example
of the kind of conversations I would love to have in that third group. So I'm going to go
have lunch with Tony. We're going to talk about when we're going to get that third group up and
going. Okay. I got to go. Thanks everyone. Thanks for joining me today. I'll see you.
I'll see you Wednesday, I think. Bye.
