Starting point is 00:01:04 with the right support to reach your goals. Start your visit today at felix.ca. That's F-E-L-I-X dot C-A. hello happy wednesday i can't i got an intro here you guys my job but tony's over there i got in like this new treadmill walking pad thing and so tony's putting it together and all she's doing is like staring longingly lovingly at her dad yeah save me save me explain for those that can't see so welcome to way in wednesday here in
Starting point is 00:02:02 the maintenance and mindfulness group where we typically talk all things maintenance. But today we're talking in honor of Valentine's Day. We're talking about all the things we love. And so we are here with our dog. So Gina, here with your dog. What's your dog's name? It's Mika. Hi, Mika.
Starting point is 00:02:19 And Kim, weight loss group manager, you're here with your pup. What's her name? This is Zabel. Nice. Here's my girl. She's she's shy who she is her name is salem so she's here she's not feeling great but she's gonna stick she's gonna stick it out with us but these are the real valentines aren't they aren't these are real valentines no offense no offense she's my valentine my valentine my palentine all of it right yeah my valentine's gonna bolt the first chance she gets she's like i'm i'm so out of here what are you even doing oh yeah the feeling's not
Starting point is 00:02:52 she can't wait to leave either oh this one is gonna lay on me like a potato the whole time i'm sure they do bring you love though right like i just like every like her cute i mean she's needs a haircut so bad she's going tomorrow but her cute little face every every day but both of them i have another big dog see there she goes she's like can you please let me down um every day she brings she brings us joy our pets bring us so much joy except my cat who i think for sure hates me but anyway yeah i have a cat too who's nowhere to be found. So we thought, what a perfect way. I mean, it's, you know, it's Valentine's, it's Galentine's, it's Palentine's, whatever you, whatever you want it to be. And we wanted to just celebrate all things love today,
Starting point is 00:03:38 the love we have, you know, to give and the love to other people and to ourselves. So I think today's the perfect day for that. And we wanted to just have some fun and, you know, come on here. And I was wanting to do like, I'm going to come on and do this big research about Valentine's Day and what it means. And that was too much work. So I just went, just looked up a few things and, you know, around the world, it's Valentine's Day and it translates in different languages. There was one that was like, it's the day of, hold on, I wrote that one down. It's Affection Day.
Starting point is 00:04:11 So it's not necessarily like romantic love. It's just Affection Day or Love and Friendship Day. You know, there's in Europe and Southern America, like there's just, you know, it translates differently. It just doesn't need to be, you know, that romantic love. You can be your own Valentine really. And, you know, we've been talking about that all week, like taking care of ourselves and reminding ourselves, you know, to give ourselves a little bit of love, you know, we don't always put it out. We can bring it, bring it inside too. Yeah. I hope, I hope you don't mind putting some, you guys look so pretty.
Starting point is 00:04:42 I'm going to put my, some lipstick lip gloss on, but I, um, um, my daughter's not having a great day. And so I was out and I thought I'm going to pick her up a little Valentine's. I hope she doesn't think it's weird, but like a little Valentine's actually I saw, um, so one of our program specialists, I can't remember who it was. And they had done like a Valentine's thing for their kid. And I thought, yeah, that's so cute. And so that kind of inspired me. So I picked up a few things and ate her whole day. Who knew? I was like almost embarrassed giving it to her. I'm like, I just got you a Valentine's thing. She's like, really? Oh my gosh. And I was like, oh, wow. Everybody could use a little extra love, right? My dad always did that. My dad was big Valentineentine's day and my my mom's not an overly
Starting point is 00:05:25 romantic person and my dad really was and his thing was valentine's day but he always did something for all of us like the kids always got something and my mom and that's yeah i do that with my kids too and it is like they were so excited this morning to get up because they know there's always a treat on the table on their placemat or the kitchen table on Valentine's morning. Yeah, it does. I think it means a lot regardless of whether it's romantic or not. It's really, I think it's saying like, I'm thinking of you and can go for anybody.
Starting point is 00:05:57 It can be for yourself to a death point too. I'm thinking of you today with love. So yeah, I think that's great. Is your dog wearing diapers? She, you know what? She had surgery yesterday. So she's got a little like surgical shirt on. So she can't lick at her incision.
Starting point is 00:06:15 It's on her belly. So it looks adorable. What is it? Little cherries is a little pattern. Well, it's supposed to be peaches, but they look like grapefruits. That's cute. I know. I didn't want her to have to wear that cone, you know, because she's a princess.
Starting point is 00:06:32 So I romanticize my dog if anybody's curious. I really can't help it. Consideration. Yeah. So she's got a little surgical sweater on and so she's not getting at her stitches. So today we wanted to have some fun. We wanted to,
Starting point is 00:06:53 you know, stick with the theme of, you know, love week. And so that translated into our favorite things. So we asked our members to ask us some questions. Yeah. So we hang in it together and we talk about, you know, we get to know each other, but I think this is a great opportunity for our members to get us some questions. Yeah, so we hang in it together and we talk about, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:06 we get to know each other, but I think this is a great opportunity for our members to get to know us. So a few of our favorite things and a few things that we love. So I'm going to get right into some of these questions. So I hope you guys are ready. I'm ready. Okay. I'm here for it. I'm going to ask you first. Are these rapid fire? Rapid fire. Yep. Rapid fire. You know, we don't need big drawn out explanations. Just let us know. Are you talking to me? Are you talking to me?
Starting point is 00:07:34 I feel like you're talking to me there. Okay. Okay. I can do short answers. I can. Okay. So what exercise do you have a love hate relationship with? Oh.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Push ups. Definitely push ups. Burpees. Burpees. exercise do you have a love hate relationship with oh push-ups definitely burpees they're stupid I I was I agree I think anything with jumping like burpees jumping jacks yeah I hate I hate all of that so just it hurts I'm over that I'm not doing that I saw Tony was doing that some this morning and I was like nah I'm not doing that. I saw Tony was doing that some this morning and I was like, nah, I'm not doing that. And we had this conversation actually. And, um, we're talking to Sean, who's one of our, um, shift supervisors. And he said, you got to just give burpees a chance and you'll love them. And I was like, I don't believe you. I don't think so. I tried to give them a chance. I feel like I put some time into giving them the appropriate amount of chance. Yeah. And. Yeah. And still.
Starting point is 00:08:27 This body's not. I used to be an aerobic instructor and I used to make people do them, but I wouldn't do them myself. I'm like, I'm not doing that. It's no. Yeah. No. For me.
Starting point is 00:08:36 No. For me too. Okay. Next question. Your favorite book. What book do you love? Other than the workbook. I mean, that's all of this answer.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Fine. I'll pick a second favorite. Mine is, it's not, it's not one book. Can I say three? It's the Ken Follett trilogy, the Pillars of the Earth trilogy by Ken Follett. That's my favorite. Those are my favorites. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Gina. Yeah. I read a book years, probably 20 years ago. I read a book and it's called the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime. And it's a short book. Easy read. I still think about it.
Starting point is 00:09:16 I still talk about it. I've gone back to read it. And it's written in the perspective of an autistic boy who finds, who finds a dog. This is kind of morbid now that I'm thinking, I'm telling you this, finds a dog, um, that's passed away in his neighborhood. And he, and he like turns it into like a mystery that he's trying to solve, but it's from the perspective of this autistic boy. You know, he can only, he can only think in prime numbers. He can only think in things that are very logical. And anyway, it's a really, it's a really cool book.
Starting point is 00:09:48 So I'm going to check that one out. Curious Incidents of a Dog in the Nighttime. I wrote both of those down. I'm always on the, I was just at, I literally was just at Indigo. And I was like, I should get a book. Like I was there the other day and I picked up a book. What's it called? Leaders Eat Last. Simon Sinek.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Oh, yeah. Trying to do like, you know, and then there's another self-help book there, but I was thinking I need a good book. I went and bought that. What's the book that everyone, you read? Hello Beautiful. No, someone told me that's really depressing
Starting point is 00:10:23 and about like, I just, I can't do depressing right now I bought it is it called the fourth wing yeah so I went and bought the fourth wing yeah I went and bought that and then Tony read it and then my kid took it and of course she hasn't given it back and so I I haven't read a good book in such a long time I I want to read a book for reading a book not to try to better myself and I um yeah yeah that so that good morning or good hello beautiful so it was so weird because I did a shout out on Instagram and I'm like who give me some book ideas because I was actually at chapters and those are the books that I got um and people were like hello beautiful so I woke up and I'm like, ew,
Starting point is 00:11:08 all these like creepy men saying hello, beautiful. And it was like everyone trying to tell me what that was. Well, you had a good day that day. You felt great about yourself. Yeah, go share in the comments. Okay, we definitely want to write them all down. We are terrible. Yeah, I know. I think, think yeah they're
Starting point is 00:11:25 behind the scenes they're like let's go let's go okay so the next one so what movie are you most embarrassed to say you love no well i'll go because there's one that i could watch so i don't know if you guys have heard um first wives club have you heard oh yeah i love first wife but the original was that i could watch that movie a hundred times and i just it makes me laugh every single time it i i love it i love it i love it wasn't that that was was it goldie hawn bett middler at miller and diane keaton yeah sarah jessica parker is like the role of the other. She was so funny. I love that movie. I don't know if I've ever, I'm not embarrassed of any of the movies
Starting point is 00:12:13 that I like. I like what I like. I'm not embarrassed about what I like. I think, you know, did anybody see the latest Scooby-Doo comedy when it came out though? Like the cartoon version of it? It was so good and it had like my whole family in tears Scooby-Doo comedy when it came out, though, like the cartoon version of it. No. It was so good.
Starting point is 00:12:26 And it had like my whole family in tears. How embarrassing. So I'm not embarrassed of this, but honestly, it was so great. I would say that's probably one that people would question, whether I should be embarrassed or not about it, but I'm not. I'll own it. Good for you. I don't know when that I'm embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:12:45 I'm probably embarrassed by the number of times I've watched. Yes. Eat, Pray, Love, Gladiator, and Edge of Tomorrow. It's embarrassing how many times I have seen those three movies. I just watched Eat, Pray, Love literally the other day. It's embarrassing how many times I've watched those movies. Edge of Tomorrow is like Tony and I's whenever we go on holiday or we just always watch it.
Starting point is 00:13:10 It's a weird movie because we always watch the same movie. That's about watching the same day over and over again. But yeah, I'm a little bit embarrassed by anime porn. Someone. Not that embarrassing. You cared it. So I'm down for that. I'm down for that just own it watch what you want to watch i love it okay oh my god so funny okay the next one okay so this is a little bit different so what time do you wake up in the mornings you all, you always seem so ready for your check-in
Starting point is 00:13:45 videos, like your morning show hosts. So I want to, I want to add on to that, you know, do you love mornings or evenings? So first of all, what time do you guys wake up? Well, I'll like get up and get out of bed anywhere from five to like six 30. Yeah. On the weekend I could sleep all day. Um, but in terms of like how ready I look, it is, it is smoke and mirrors. Like, I don't know if I turn around the back of my head, it's probably not too bad today, but normally it's like this and, um, I've got really great lighting. And so I look ready, but it's, I'm not the other day. I was like, didn't even have pants on when I went live, just as a heads up, I still had like my workout biker shorts on had a fancy blouse and biker shorts on so yeah don't be fooled by the rocks that I got I'm just I agree with the smoke and mirrors I mean check-ins are
Starting point is 00:14:36 are a new thing for me and I just sometimes it's well first of all I get up at six usually every morning um oh that's good. But I have, you know, I still make kids lunches. I have one kid at home. I still make her lunch and her breakfast because, you know, they're not capable at 16. So I feel like I still have to do it. I'm still making my 19 year old's lunch. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:00 When he's like making her own lunch. I'm the same with the check-in smoke and mirrors, you know, you just, and I would like to keep it real around here. So we just get up and say what we got to say. And I'm the same. You only see from here up usually. So. I used to have like a towel around my head. Cause my hair was wet. Show up in my pajamas. I'm trying to look like more. I'm trying to do better than that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:27 I just want to show up for you guys. Talon hair pajamas on. Yeah. Well, I have the benefit. I don't have to do a check-in every day. So I don't normally have to do much, but I do start work at six in the morning because I am in BC. So I'm a few hours and I want, I like to start my day with Gina's live at my desk. That is my routine. So I make sure that I'm all ready to go for when Gina goes live. So I can take notes of all the changes that you bring up there that we have to make to the program. And I, so I get up at, usually get up between 5.30. Honestly though, some days, like when my son has a hockey game the night before, I might get up five minutes before I actually need to start work. I didn't get home till midnight last night. Sleep is more important than brushing my hair, but not on Wednesdays.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Wednesdays, hair brushing is more important than sleep. Wednesday, I love mornings, but I also hate getting up. I don't like love getting up. I get up. But then evenings, I don't know. I kind hate getting up. I don't like love getting up. I get up and, but then evenings I don't know. I kind of like evenings. They're nice and quiet and yeah. I think that's a night owl. Yeah. I'm not an night owl. I do love mornings. I do love the quiet. I like the quiet of the morning.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Like I liked if I'm, if I'm awake after other people, I'm annoyed. I like to get up first and it's quiet and nobody's talking to me and I can have my coffee I sometimes you know I love the evenings because I can go to bed because I know I'm going to get up and have coffee so yeah the evenings what about you Kim yeah I would say I love mornings so for me like I I'm early anyway, I would be getting up at the same time, regardless of whether that was to enjoy my coffee by myself. I used to prior to, you know, working earlier in the mornings, I would get up at five 30 and watch the news and have a cup of coffee to start my day, just to have that time that you're talking about. Um, evenings I like it for the same reason you
Starting point is 00:17:21 said, Gina, it's they're like quieter times but I do often be like I'm gonna go to bed now so that I can have coffee sooner so yes yeah it's true I do like that sometimes like I just want to go to bed so I can wake up tomorrow yes yeah so I guess that means morning I can't stay up past like I can't like ask me to go out at night and i'm like i'm like trying to i'm struggling by 10 i just want to go to bed so i suppose i'm not a night definitely not a nighttime person that's for sure i'm like a day party person i love a good day party yeah like start at two o'clock in the afternoon home by 8 p.m give me a lunch any day i love lunch date yeah yeah i remember seeing a reel that was like you can do midnight shit at two o'clock in the afternoon it's fine just just shit that you know
Starting point is 00:18:15 eight hours why do you well i'm spending it together with a friend i haven't seen in a while and because i keep bailing on her and so i just like i we're supposed to go for dinner and drinks and i was just like oh i'm not really drinking's late. I'm tired thinking about it. So I was like, do you want to do brunch? And she was like, yeah, sure. Sounds good. The brunch is definitely like the new dinner and drinks for sure. It's day parties. Everybody's here for the day parties. All right. Okay. if you could grab your passport and go anywhere right now where would you go and with who and then what do you love about that place
Starting point is 00:18:52 in person oh kim you go first yeah well we're still on the let's get kim to new york bandwagon so i think that's right now that's the first one on my let's get Kim to New York bandwagon. So I think that's right now. That's the first one on my list is still going to New York. And who would you pick? Who would you pick? So here's the thing, because Mark's not on social media, so he's not going to hear this. He doesn't even know that I am on podcast. It would actually be my daughter.
Starting point is 00:19:23 I would love to go. I would love to take my daughter to New York and just spend that quality time with her exploring because she's the one that's into like the theater and the dance and like the buildings and the fashion and stuff. So I feel like she's the one that I would, I feel like I'm at that point with her at 15 where she's like my little bestie now. So I would love to go. Don't tell her that because she's gonna expect me to take her so then i gotta pay for everything yeah right it's like um having a daughter is like having a little broke best friend best friend yeah it's so true. I,
Starting point is 00:20:06 uh, because I just came back from, I've lucky me went to on a vacation with the whole family, 12 of us. We all went, I would go away with Tony somewhere quiet. I don't even know. Just where we're quiet and we're alone.
Starting point is 00:20:23 Um, and just doing nothing like somewhere where you, you don't even want to do anything because, and there's nothing to do because you just need to do nothing. That's what I would do. And only because it's been a lot, right? So like we got married and then, you know, kids, I had my birthday and then kids, dad died. And then it's been like, you know, dead dad summer for this whole summer. It's been a lot. And then we went away. Um, he, we didn't have our normal, uh, get, get away. And then we had our big family get together. So that's why I wouldn't choose him. Otherwise I probably would say like my, like one of my, my oldest daughter, I need to get away and spend some time with her just some one-on-one time and
Starting point is 00:21:01 get to know who she is as a 24 year old adult. I would love that. Probably go somewhere like Costa Rica adventurous, but yeah, I would go to like, I don't know, quiet closet with Tony somewhere for a week. Sounds lovely. Where they feed us, where the food is easy too. Right. When you just get like someone just, yeah. Yeah. Like not Rome or not anywhere traveling just somewhere quiet I don't know where it would be but no no nice yeah um I think I would take I would take my daughter as well and I would take her
Starting point is 00:21:39 to Portugal so that's where I'm from but I'm from like northern Portugal like the villages and I remember I took her there when we were little she was little and you know she was in the garden and picking our greens for lunch and we would take the cows to pasture and we watched a cow a calf actually being born and I feel like she was so at home there like even though she was freaked out by some of the stuff she saw I think you know just to come away from where it's so busy here and to be there with family and like your feet are dirty and your hands are dirty. And it's just such an awesome place that you just unplug and just feel like home, like you feel bound. So I would love to go back there one day. Take her.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Would you ever, like, I keep threatening to take everyone and move to Italy because I think it would be amazing. It'd be so great for my kids, for us. Like I had Julianna on Monday, the whole skin and, and self care. And she was talking about like slow, slow living and slowing down. Would you ever go back? Like, would you ever think, Oh, that would be a good life? Like, I just want to do the simple. Yeah. So I was really fortunate as a kid. We spent a lot of summers there. Like my parents still have a home there. They're aging, so they don't get back as much. And yeah, we thought about
Starting point is 00:22:50 that when they were little, like actually like subleasing our home and moving there for a year. And it's, you know, now I would just do it, you know, then this or what about my job or what about that or what, you know, we didn't. And and yeah I would love to do that and just slow down and and it's just it's just such a joyful place I mean they don't have a lot but they have so much joy and they work so hard but they still have that joy and it's slow and you just appreciate everything you do have and that pace and that culture and that life and yeah I don't know if I would go back now and live there I but I should have now it's one of the things like I wish I had done that yeah yeah it's awesome okay next question I'm dying Kim's dog's matching sweater is really I know they're matching I love it
Starting point is 00:23:41 she can never grow so she can wear this forever on Valentine's. Don't put it in the dryer. You can't ever put it in the dryer. No, no. In case nobody's told you weight loss goes beyond the old, just eat less and move more narrative. And that's where Felix comes in. Felix is redefining weight loss for Canadians with a smarter,

Start your visit today at felix.ca. That's F-E-L-I-X.ca. Okay, next question. Okay, so if you could go back and talk to yourself at 20 years old, what advice would you give yourself and what would you change if anything? Oh, I would just so like, I think the only thing that I've wanted to say to my past self for the last like 10 years
Starting point is 00:24:54 is stop caring what other people think and just do you. I think that would be my biggest piece of advice. Thinking about the years that you waste worrying about what other people think. I would probably tell myself to wash my face a bit more. Stop drinking so much from a vanity standpoint. Just wash your face. But I agree. And you know what I think I might tell myself it would be to have a bit of a bit of a financial plan for the future I feel like I'm I didn't really have that and now I I'm doing that with my kids and I feel like they're going to be so much further ahead
Starting point is 00:25:39 like you don't have this big grand plan but just start thinking about that at a bit of a younger age you always think like oh I have time I have time grand plan, but just start thinking about that at a bit of a younger age. You always think like, oh, I have time. I have time. I have time. But that might be what it is. Wash your face and save some money. But have fun. But have fun. Yeah. I wouldn't change anything because I'm so happy with where I am at, but I came at a, an expense of, um, like I would tell myself to chill out, but then probably not. Cause it's like, I had so many jobs.
Starting point is 00:26:13 I never really enjoyed my younger years because I was so busy working and, you know, chasing the dream. And, and, um, and so like, if I was to do it again, I would just like, fuck my way through Europe, you know, after high school, just have sex with a bunch of guys and like party my face off and just like travel and backpack. Do you know what I mean? Obviously, I would, I'm glad I didn't do that. But if I was like to do it again, or that would be a different podcast if you did yeah because I wasn't with a lot of guys and I just kind of got into my marriage for 20 years and um I wish I would have like traveled and after school would travel I wanted to travel and live on a beach and I wish I would have done that instead of I went to university and I got a job another job another job another job another job met met my you know ex and just got worked and worked and worked, had kids and kids and kids and kids and worked
Starting point is 00:27:07 and worked and worked and worked and didn't travel, didn't really do anything. Not to say that life wasn't fun for me and have its moments. I got to do a lot of really great things, but I wouldn't change at all because I'm so happy that I did that then so that I can be where I am at now. And who knows where I would have been then if I would have done that. So yeah, so I wouldn't, I'd probably say maybe chill a little bit, like go have some fun. You know, it's probably what I would say. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Next question.
Starting point is 00:27:42 I'm going to pop it up. There we go. So what is your favorite meal or snack on your tuesday um i don't know but we just made those valentine hearty cheese balls bocconcini yes did you make them yeah it was so good yeah it was so good and so cute um my favorite meal or snack on my tuesday i love like i guess deep fried foods i love i love onion rings i love you guys know it's my sour cream and chips and like whatever but onion rings outside that but can't worry about you guys i would say like if i'm choosing something it's going to be i think i would choose like potato chips over a meal if i had like one
Starting point is 00:28:24 choice of a food that I do, like if I was going to be restrictive and do that, I think I would go to like, I love potato chips. So that would be kind of like a choose that I might have. Like if I'm going to have a snack, if I'm going for bits and vice, it's going to be like a salty chip, maybe with some dip or something like that. Yeah. I would choose, um, I would choose a huge plate of pasta because it
Starting point is 00:28:47 just, it hurts my stomach so much, but I just love it. You know, it's one of those things are like, even some days, like, it's funny you say like, some days you look at it and you're like, no, I don't want that. I'm going to feel sick. But then some days I'm like, I just want that creamy and just like olive oil and garlic on it and cracked pepper. Like I didn't even eat that much. Yeah. But yeah, just that would be what I,
Starting point is 00:29:11 if I could choose that and eat that, that's what I would choose. And just, you know, deal with it. I think for me, that's like the next question is like you just basically answered it for me. What is the snack that you, meal or snack you love, but doesn't like you that what I would have just said. Yeah, it's true. That is the next question. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Yeah. So Gina, it's for you. It's red wine and sour cream chips. Everybody knows that already. Everyone knows way too much about me. We don't even ask Gina anything. We already know way too much about me. That's right. We don't even ask Gina anything. We already know way too much about Gina. I am. You know what I really love that I, I, that also hurts is ice cream. I love ice cream and ice cream just like makes my throat like,
Starting point is 00:30:00 um, not close. Yeah. Like really like, like liquidy it's gross, really, like, liquidy. It's gross. And then it hurts my stomach, too. But I love ice cream. And at Christmas, the President's Choice, like, candy cane ice cream.
Starting point is 00:30:14 Oh, yeah. Yeah. Crispy bits of chocolate. So that's the one thing that I love that definitely does not love me back. Sounds like I have a couple things, but that one stands out. But you're okay with wine, so you're good. I'm good with wine. I'm good with wine.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Oh, this one's interesting. Curious about the water you drink. Is it tap, filtered, reverse osmosis, or spring water in bottles? Oh. I drink tap water and bottles? No. I drink tap water. And warm tap water. Well, we're lucky enough to have really great tap water here in Ontario we live. I think you too, Kim, in BC. We're really lucky that our, you know, I swear some of the bottled water comes out of a tap.
Starting point is 00:31:00 But anyway, I do tap or I still have in my fridge. We have like a little fridge filter thing. It's, but really am I drinking water that is fresh? Is it old? Has my cat drank out of it? Yes. No. These are more of the questions. Who knows? Who knows what's in Gina's water? Who knows what's in my water? Who's drinking out of my drink? I don't know. Yeah. I just do. I don't really, i went down a rabbit hole where i used to buy all my reverse osmosis and that was the only thing i drank and then i chilled out i was just like that was like in my only organic i went through a whole thing
Starting point is 00:31:36 like just organic and reverse osmosis and all of this stuff and uh getting a water at one of my other houses at a water hole filter thousands of dollars, you know, kind of thing. And I'm like, yeah, whatever. When the fridge thing gets old, starts to stink, I replace it. I'm good. I feel like once I when you talk about the most expensive part of doing the program being a wardrobe, I would like to add the argument that replacing the water filters in your fridge might be the most expensive part of the program when you do it because I stopped drinking that water when I started following the program because I was like these filters are a hundred dollars each I can't afford this
Starting point is 00:32:17 I have a Brita filter just a Brita one of those jug ones that I refill and I leave it on the counter so it's room temperature. And I just refill my bottles from it. At one point, I was going to keep it on my desk. And then I decided that I didn't want to because that gave me no reason to get up and move my body. So I keep it in the kitchen still and I walk over and I get it and that's kind of gets me away from my desk and moving around. But I do filtered or tap. and I have very we have very good tap water I do filtered only because I want to keep that on the counter and I don't like in tap water how it gets aerated and then it gets bubbly so when it's been sitting in the filter it's like so still so I I do that but I um I follow a guy on Instagram he's a water sommelier there's such a thing as a water sommelier you know what wine sommelier is a water sommelier I can't I don't remember it I'll have to
Starting point is 00:33:10 look up his name but and he basically debunks all the bottled water where they come from what's good like some of them are just coming from he's like this this like you know this bottled water is from like this city like where in the city is like a fresh spring he's like this is just tap water in a bottle um Fiji the Fiji water is supposed to be like the best water of all the waters it's also ridiculously expensive um I think I sort of started following him and he's debunked a lot of I mean there's a lot of really great waters out there but he's debunked a lot of the bottled waters and stuff that are out there I I don't know about like reverse osmosis or anything like that, but as long as I'm getting, I'm listen, I'm just trying to get it in. I'm just trying to get it in.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Yeah. My office is up there, which is across from the bathroom. So half the time it comes out of the bathroom tap. I just run over a tap and come back. Yeah. You're drinking Starbucks water. It looks like. Who is? Me? Yeah me yeah yeah i don't know when last time i washed this cup though to be honest i i know i washed mine on the weekend because abel drank out of it in the car when we were on our way home from our hike and there was floaties in it so i washed it so that's prior to that i couldn't tell you these cups are what two
Starting point is 00:34:22 or three years old kim and we've been drinking out of them solid since then. I know. Yeah. This is my favorite cup. Yeah. Yeah. I know. Well, you're welcome.
Starting point is 00:34:33 We gave them to the, we did like, I don't know, like we give our team some stuff every now and then. So we had to put it together in a little package. Cozy in a mug. And we should probably do that again. It's a cozy mug, a bracelet. It's all the new people now are going to be asking. Don't tell them.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Tell them. Production team moving us along. Yeah. Moving on. Come on ladies. Rapid fire fail. Yeah. I don't know. Okay. what spare time activity brings you joy
Starting point is 00:35:07 well I just started um I just started back to belly dance after taking a hiatus for a few years and I was so nervous I was sweating and it I I am just like I don't care what else is happening I'm going to my class and I just started it um just like a few weeks ago and I like, I don't care what else is happening. I'm going to my class. And I just started it just like a few weeks ago. And I just, and I wasn't really doing anything else. So that's what it is. I'm back to dancing and I love it. Love it.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Well, my answer is depressing because I'm trying to figure that out because all I do is work and I love work. But when you love your work, it's still like, although it brings me an immense amount of joy, I do, I'm in the pursuit of figuring out what can I do? That's going to bring me joy. I'm thinking about signing up for an art class with my daughter. Um, I was going to do skiing, but there's been no snow. So we were going to go skiing every weekend and it's either been too cold or no snow. So I haven't been doing that.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Um, you know, I love surfing and swimming, but I haven't really been doing that. I got to do it over the holidays, but, um, I would say if I could surf in my spare time, that would bring me joy, but I'm looking, I'm looking for something that's, that's, I know that's lame and depressing maybe, but no, I think, and I think once you find it, you'll know, and then you'll just, you know, you'll just, you'll love it. And there you go. Sometimes that's the hardest part is just, is just starting back right. Or starting something. Yeah. And then you get there and you're like, this is awesome.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Yeah. I think Tony has a golf lesson, an indoor golf lesson booked for us. It's a winter time. It's hard, right? A golf lesson booked for us. So that, that I'm looking forward to that. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. It's hard because I feel like I had all of these intentions going into the fall when I was expecting winter to come that I was going to start snowboarding again. And I love snowshoeing. So I wanted to get up in the mountains and do that. And I was kind of like,
Starting point is 00:36:56 well, I can't work more. And then I realized, well, because we have no snow, Zabel's literally trying to drink from that water glass right now. She she she she's trying to not give over um so the we went on the hike the other day and I was like yeah there's no snow on the mountains that means I can still be hiking in them and that actually I forget until I'm out there in nature how much joy it does bring me so I think for me just like anytime I get outside is like brings me some joy I used to um I used to take my dogs for my dog for a walk and she when she was younger she'd run through the forest and then the pandemic happened and she could no longer be off leash and so then it became a really stressful place for us because she just was used to having a whole forest to herself and then running and then I would whistle and she'd come back she would just run and run and
Starting point is 00:37:48 run and run so I got out so often and then didn't really go back after the pandemic and then by then she's gotten so much older she can barely hear she's like not running through the woods isn't her you know she'd probably trip over a log and you know hurt herself but um I really enjoyed getting outside so that got me outside a lot you, but I haven't, I missed that. Maybe snowshoeing. That sounds like a great thing to do. It sounds like, yeah, it would be fun. I love snowshoeing.
Starting point is 00:38:14 It's so fun. And it's cheap. Like it's cheap activity. You got to buy, we have our own snowshoes. So that part of it, you can get them at Costco for fairly reasonably priced and you don't have to pay for Lyft tickets and stuff like that. Yeah, that's great. Well, we are certainly way over time. But this is awesome.
Starting point is 00:38:33 We've got one more question that started here. I think they started for us. We'll finish on this one because it really encompasses the galentine. So it's how and where did you first meet in real life oh so it was um the summer of 2022 is when i first met kim it's when i first met you too gina was that's when we first met remember we had our summer staff party was it the one on the boat yes yes that's the one yeah that was so that was magical that day that was amazing yeah so kim and i yeah kim and i met a couple i think we met on thursday of that week and then we all three of us came together on saturday of that week yeah that's
Starting point is 00:39:18 right because kim flew in because we have a we have a big summer party every year where because everyone in our company works remote so everyone comes and we try to think of fun stuff we're trying to plan what we're going to do this year um we try to think it's and so that was a year was like really where we had a big team 30 people back then and we're like 50 um and we had a boat there's a big boat in the toronto harbor is it called the toronto harbor i'm not sure in toronto anyway downtown toronto um on lake ontario and we kind of got on this big boat and and everyone was like meeting up and it was the first time anyone seen each other and i remember the guy who works the boat was like what is happening he's like who are you people like this is the
Starting point is 00:40:01 loudest boat we've ever had like because people were just talking and having so much fun and he's like what is happening what is going on and i'm like it's just people who were like so excited to see each other it was a it was a whole vibe it was great day parties yeah yeah so that was the first time we've been the best friends ever since that's great i love it that's my galentine's today i'm sorry and then you guys have gone in and um like you went to you came up here kim you've been here a few times now and odette you went and hung out with uh kim a bit in bc yep yep yeah yeah yeah i gotta make my way i gotta make my way we gotta go to bc we'll have to do that yeah we should all come i'll come too i don't know if i'm invited but i'm coming too
Starting point is 00:40:51 don't come if you're looking for snow we don't have any here either we don't need snow we just need margaritas but yeah but at three o'clock in the afternoon don't book any nighttime reservations i've seen where you live. It's beautiful. It's beautiful in all the seasons. My goodness. It is true. Yeah, there's lots of things to do. It's beautiful all times of year.
Starting point is 00:41:12 So I won't complain. I'm pretty lucky. Oh, Zabel's done. That was Zabel. She's done. She's just growled at me. Knock it off, Mom. Time's up.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Well, that's her for a us to log off it's time to log off but again thank you this was great I'm glad we did this and I get like that too I get all like that she brought me a toy time to go time to go we're getting delirious yeah we are and i'm procrastinating i don't want to go all right this was fun let's do this every week sure well isn't this what we kind of want to create here where it's a group where we all support each other and it's a place to have
Starting point is 00:41:59 these discussions and we just hang out like you know our members you've got like we've all cried and laughed and talked about anything and everything we are really all kind of friends hanging out at the end of the day at least that that's what we that's what i want it to be for people to be this place where they feel like comfortable and it's their home and we can have conversations and you're just kind of hanging out and you know it's i don know. That's why I kind of think like that's the whole point a little bit or a lot. I agree. Yeah. It was great. Um, I don't want to go. I want to hang out. I want to pour some wine. I want a day drink at least for the next hour. You got sun for about another hour. So we can do that.
