Welcome to Weigh In Wednesday, where we love to weigh in on all things maintenance,
Starting point is 00:01:31 plus, you know, share our opinion on a variety of other hot topics. Joining me, as always, is Odette, who is the manager of our maintenance program. Kim, who is the manager of our weight loss program. And back with us again is Vicky Tarkhan. She's hailing from Cash Creek, B.C., over by Kim's Way. She lost 35 pounds doing the living method. She has been in maintenance since January and currently testing the waters and trying to get her camera on straight.
Starting point is 00:02:00 We've had some technical issues. Maybe it's the storm. We are having a huge massive storm here it's raining like crazy what the sun shining in bc ladies is it it is hot i just say how hot is it where you are vicky it's only about 30 degrees here today so nice it cooled off here in lower mainland yeah we're uh setting records again today. I think we're expecting like in the 40s again. So we've been the hot spot in Canada actually the last few days. So the mercury is up there.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Yeah. I love the heat. I know it can be global warming and all that. I don't want to get into it, but I love the heat. I like the warmer, the better. I live for the heat. I love it. What about you ladies? Do you like it? You're yay, nay on the heat? I'm yay on the heat. I love that
Starting point is 00:02:49 feeling of hot sun on my shoulders. You know, when sometimes we're inside all day and I'll just go in the backyard and just sit with my back to the sun for five minutes. I love, I love the heat. As I get older, I feel like I'm warmer. I am getting a bit warmer a bit more easily, but I, I will not complain. I love the heat. I think it's like my Portuguese blood and that, I think that's where it is. How about you Kim? I have no Portuguese blood in me. I am very Ukrainian and English, but I do very much like the heat. I'm actually, my husband and I are next week heading to Vegas because it's not quite warm enough in BC for us. But I will say I don't necessarily love the Toronto sort of Ontario muggy heat that you guys have.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I love the dry heat that you would think us being on the West Coast right by the ocean. But in general, it's ocean but in general it's pretty dry here when it's hot and um i love that heat and my favorite thing i was just telling my kids the other day the best thing in the world is like a hot sunny day having a nap outside when it's hot out and i mean as long as you've got sunscreen on but uh i love yes yeah here's and i love heat too our house is so cold i go outside to warm up. I'm the same. Tony does not like the heat at all. Like we went to Singapore, took the family to Singapore during the holidays and it's so hot. I love it. I literally said to him the other day, I wish we
Starting point is 00:04:17 could move to Singapore. And he's like, no, not, he's just any place with that like hot muggy heat. He's just like, he's a no, he's a no. He keeps our place nice and cool. I too have to go outside to warm up before Tony, I was like totally anti air conditioner. Like I was like, we don't, we don't need air conditioning. I've never had it, never needed it. Okay. Enough about that. Let's get in and talk, talk about bringing the heat. What are our hot topics today that we are weighing in on? And of course, if you're joining us live, feel free to weigh in with us. And of course, if you're listening to us or downloading our podcast, we hope you enjoy the conversation.
Starting point is 00:04:53 So let's get into it. What are we weighing in on today? Okay. So first off, last week, we were talking about people's reactions to our journey. And we talked about this before. You know, some people, sometimes they don't say anything, sometimes they're negative and how can we, you know, how do we deal with that? How do we cope with that?
Starting point is 00:05:10 But something we don't talk about quite enough are compliments and how to receive a compliment. So I'm curious to hear, especially from Vicky too, that, you know, do we think that members in maintenance can accept compliments, have an easier time accepting compliments? I suck at compliments and I've maintained my weight for 30 years. I still can't take a compliment very well. You say, oh, I love your shirt. Immediately I'll tell you where I got it, where you can get it, how much I paid for it, anything other than accepting a compliment
Starting point is 00:05:46 and saying, thank you very much. I'm learning to stop myself and be like, thank you. I appreciate your comment, but it feels weird. That's just me. That's where I'm at. I heard you on the live the other day say that, and I actually stopped myself. I was in a store and somebody complimented my own clothes that I was wearing when I went there, one of the staff. And I started to explain myself to them and I stopped. So thank you for that, Gina. What about you, Vicky? Are you finding that it's easier for you to accept compliments now? Or what do you think?
Starting point is 00:06:26 Yeah, it's still hard. Like, even though, you know, I'm feeling pretty good at, you know, where I'm at and how well I've been able to maintain. But I think, I don't know if it's sort of like, a lot of times, people aren't where they're at. And, and it's kind of hard to like toot your own horn, if you know what I mean. You know, cause often you'll get comments that you look great. And, and sometimes I feel a bit baited that I need to like elaborate on that or something. I don't know. There's still some weird feels that goes with accepting where you're at and how hard you worked to get here right yeah yeah yeah I think that there's some you know there's some truth to what you're
Starting point is 00:07:12 saying that you know when you feel like um you know others may not be where they are or where you think and then you feel guilty accepting a compliment because you don't want to sound like you are I don't know if conceited or full of yourself is the right word, right? There may be, there's a guilt there because you don't, you know, you don't want to be tooting your own horn and saying, Oh no, thanks. I know, you know, but really it's, it's not, you're not in a place of, of saying, Oh yeah, I know that I look good. Or I know that, you know, my shirt is beautiful. It's more just, you know, being open to being open to sharing the love and sharing that
Starting point is 00:07:50 excitement and being able to accept that. I think that's. Yeah, isn't that the truth? I often feel like I need to compliment back when somebody compliments me. It's like I have to like, oh, OK, I better say something about how they look or like I feel like there needs it's like I have to reciproc oh, okay, I better say something about how they look. Or I feel like there needs, it's like a, I have to reciprocate right away. And I think that like not recognizing that that takes away from the compliment, I don't have to search for something or I feel bad that I didn't
Starting point is 00:08:15 think of saying something nice first, maybe, but I don't know why that's, that's my sort of difficulty, but I wish I was better at taking compliments and just saying, thank you. I think, yeah, I mean, Oh, go ahead. No, I was going to say Karen agrees. I get very awkward when I get a compliment and don't always believe what they say. I think for me, because I'm sitting here thinking, okay, why don't, why do I have a hard time with it? Um, I compliment myself all the time, but what, what's my problem? And I think it's it's self-love. No, but I have been dealing with this like worthiness, this, do I feel, am I worthy of this compliment? And, and maybe it's also, um, the attention. I'm very like, I, I have a hard time, believe it or
Starting point is 00:09:00 not. Cause I sit up here and, you know, I feel like I'm out and, you know, you see me when I'm, when I'm around people, I love being around people, but I'm actually very much an introvert. So I don't, I don't think I like the attention on me. And then I think if I go deep into it, though, I don't feel worthy of the compliment. I'm like you, I have to explain why I'm worthy. Thank you. I work really hard. I try really hard or, oh, you know, like what you've done. Oh, thank you. I have a whole team of people. It's not just me. It's like, whatever. Right. Compliments always come with a backup explanation. I'm with you, Rhonda. That's, that's how I am too. What can we do about this? What should we, what do we do about this Odette?
Starting point is 00:09:38 Well, I have some tips actually. Thanks for asking. I was going to share them in the group tomorrow, but I'll but let's just do it right here. So I think, so one of the, one of the things that I was reading is that, you know, oftentimes we are caught off guard, especially maybe for members that are new, that are in maintenance, have lost the weight. Maybe they haven't been complimented a lot in the past and they are caught off guard and they are in this awkward situation. So there are a few things they can think of. So, you know, really saying just a simple thank you without the word, but at the end, I think just catching yourself before that word, but comes out, just saying a simple, thank you, not thank you, but it's not a big deal or thank you, but you know, it's not, you know, it's not
Starting point is 00:10:24 the be all end all or whatever it might be. So just stopping yourself for a minute and just taking the word but out and just saying thank you and leaving it. And easier said than done, I'm sure. And then the other one, the other thing they were saying was to return the favor. Like, I can't remember who just said it, or return the favor. Like I can't remember who just said it or return the compliment. So saying thank you. And without, um, you know, giving an explanation or going any deeper, thank you. You look, you're glowing as well, or thank you. I also love your shirt. And then it kind of takes it off of you. You've accepted the compliment, but you've taken it off yourself and, you know, kind of
Starting point is 00:11:01 rerouted that, that attention a little bit. Yeah, I love that. That's my go-to, right? I'll be like, oh, I love this. I love that about you. Let's not talk about me. Let's talk about you. Okay, that's getting close. Like, thank you.
Starting point is 00:11:19 And then at least that's like not explaining your way out of the compliment. Laura says, being self-conscious for being healthy and 25 pounds down for a year is weird. Yeah, I mean, it could take us a while to own who we are and what we've done. And I think you might feel self-conscious about it. I don't think self-conscious needs to be a bad thing. You're just conscious of the fact that you've made change, conscious of the fact that people are noticing. I mean, this can go deep for some people who are not used to having attention be on them. And their weight was like a safeguard
Starting point is 00:11:51 to keep them, to keep other people at a distance physically, to keep them from engaging. It was their excuse or their reason not to be as social. And that may freak some people out if all of a sudden they're going out and about and they perceive that they're bringing on more attention to themselves. I think they're bringing the
Starting point is 00:12:08 attention because their energy is shining from the inside out and not because it really has anything to do with how you look, right? Like, I don't know that's because you've lost weight. It could just be like, you look happy, you look healthy, you look, it's not just the shirt you're wearing, it's how you, the energy that's wearing the shirt maybe. And some people may not be used to that. Yeah, I would agree with that. I think it is the energy that you bring, you know, when you're feeling good about yourself, you know, maybe you're standing a little taller, maybe, you know, you're, you got this glow on your face and the energy that you're putting it into the room. People pick up on that. Right. And they're like, wow, what's different about them without noticing a really a physical difference. There's
Starting point is 00:12:48 something different about them. And I love that energy. I'm drawn to it. So I have to let them know. I love Deborah. I say, thank you. It's Gina Libby. Oh, there you go. Test the compliment on. All right. What, what the takeaway from that is let's, let's all practice taking compliments. Let's all practice taking compliments. Okay. What's our next topic? So the next topic is, so we're talking about travel at the top actually is great because I wanted to know, I was coming across a study of healthy vacation destinations. So I wanted to know, does a destination being labeled as healthy influence your decision on where you go?
Starting point is 00:13:26 Does it ever come into play? This is interesting because, you know, we're planning that cruise next April. We're going to do a Libby loser cruise in April details coming out next week. Y'all, if you want to sign up. Um, and I said, it always amazed me when people talked about the food on cruises, it made it seem like there was just like donuts and cheeseburgers everywhere. Like when you go on a cruise, it's just like so hard not to eat the food or gain weight. That was, I've been on three and that was not my experience at all on a cruise. Like sure, there's a buffet, there's lots of things you could have. Um, but it's no different to me if I go to like an all inclusive, you know, resorts or whatever. I didn't find the same, like I didn't find that.
Starting point is 00:14:09 I think you can make any destination healthy. Although I am starting to look at like health retreats and resorts that have kind of like spas and yoga and that type of thing. So I, as I, I don't know if that's a getting older thing or trying to be mindful of my stress thing, but I think it might be how your mindset when you're going to these destinations, I think. And I wonder if our members in maintenance now are, are thinking about that a little bit more, you know, if they are thinking about, you know, the type of vacation and what is being offered there, even beyond food, you know, like, what kind of what kind of activities are there that I can participate in outside? What's the weather going to be like? Am I going
Starting point is 00:14:53 to be forced to be inside? Am I going to be can I be outside? You know, what what is the culture like, if you're not going to an all inclusive? What is the culture of the place that you're going to? You know, is it is it one that off that puts a value into eating well and and leaving stress behind or you know is where you're going really fast pace and bustling and grab what you can eat and you know I wonder if that's coming into play a little bit do you notice that Vicky with you or have you does that come into play when you're deciding where to go yeah like I find that I'm maybe it is an age thing but I find that I'm more attracted to places that are like a little less chill it's not all about the you know the partying and the nightlife and all that kind of stuff you
Starting point is 00:15:35 know so things that you know are kind of pitched as a more you know natural kind of vibe are the things that I find that I'm more attracted to for some reason they come across as healthier you know, natural kind of vibe are the things that I find that I'm more attracted to. For some reason, the Econocast is healthier, you know. I think I'm a big outdoors traveler. Like, I like, if I'm going someplace, I would prefer to go someplace that is sort of active, has beautiful scenery where I can walk around. But even city traveling, I prefer walkability, like regardless of where I'm going. I know like when I went to Toronto last year and
Starting point is 00:16:10 my family came, my big thing was I needed to stay right downtown with them because I wanted to be able to walk to all the places that we wanted to see rather than having to be stuck inside, getting cars, getting transit, renting a car. And even, you know, if I go to Whistler, which we go to often, it's beautiful. There are tons of hikes around. But the hotel that we always stay at is one that my kids can just roll their bikes right out of the hotel and onto the trails. And we can walk to without having to drive
Starting point is 00:16:36 to get to those things. So I think that does play a factor for me in it. I love a city, but even in a city, I want to be able to walk around. I don't necessarily need to look for a hotel that has a nice gym or anything like that because I tend to get activity when I am away. But I think there are certain things I take into consideration when booking a hotel. If you're looking for flexible workouts, Peloton's got you covered. Summer runs or playoff season meditations, whatever your vibe,
Starting point is 00:17:07 Peloton has thousands of classes built to push you. We know how life goes. New father, new routines, new locations. What matters is that you have something there to adapt with you, whether you need a challenge or rest. And Peloton has everything you need, whenever you need it. Find your push. Find your push. Find your power.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Peloton. Visit Peloton at onepeloton.ca. I'm just seeing the scroll go across. Jodi's scrolling. What is this? The top 10 healthy destinations. I'm shocked Vancouver is not on there. I would like to know.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Toronto is? Toronto is. I would like to know what Toronto is. Toronto is Amsterdam, Vienna, Barcelona, Seoul, Toronto, Istanbul, Rome, London, Milan, and Lisbon. Yeah. So I was, I pulled these, there was a study that was done and they, they took 20 different relevant metrics. So these are cities, these are not all inclusive. These are cities that, you know, some of the, it was the top 40, it took, they took the top 42 most sought after destinations, and then they took 20 relevant metrics, anything from clean air, water quality, the number of parks and hiking trails, nutritional consumption. So what the, you know, what is their, what's their, you know, main source, their main diet in these cities.
Starting point is 00:18:31 And then also the cost of things. So how much does it cost to buy? Oh, that's why Vancouver didn't make it. That's right. That's right. We did a revised list and then we added and maybe Vancouver. I don't know if you guys saw that. And maybe Vancouver at the end.
Starting point is 00:18:44 Yeah. So that's, so that. We added that. Yeah. So that's- Niki Jodi. So yeah, Amsterdam came out number one because it hit all of these metrics. Their diet is at the top of the list. Their air quality is at the top of the list. They have outdoor space. So not only for exercising and movement, but a lot of these cities also promote relaxation. So you're going there and yeah, you're on vacation. You want to sightseeing, you want to do these things,
Starting point is 00:19:10 but they've also got space for you to just chill and relax. And some of them are on the list because they're, they're also cost-effective. So you can go and buy a bottle of water and it's, you know, not more expensive than buying, you know, pop or soda or whatever it might be. Sold. Guess I'm going to Rome. I mean, you don't have to ask me twice. Yeah, so Rome made the list because of its high quality of food consumption. So, you know, and having it readily available.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Of course, there's a disclaimer. You can go and eat the pasta and the pizza and the bread and all of that. But if you choose not to, they have all of these other options readily available. Of course, there's a disclaimer, you can go and eat the pasta and the pizza and the bread and all of that. But if you choose not to, they have all of these other options readily available. And they're one of the places that do promote, you know, relaxation, de-stressing, taking time out to just, you know, chill while you're there. Yeah, well, I would love to know what people think about this, because I am planning on doing more travel and retreats. And I'm thinking, okay, what do people want to do? They want to get away. They want to sightsee. Yes. But I guess I'm not a shopper. Like I'm not a, like a city destination. I love touring cities. I'd love when I went to Chicago, I love the architecture. I'm going to New York, um, this summer. Like I do love cities, but I am not a
Starting point is 00:20:20 shopper. I'm more of a sightseer. Like I love being a tourist. Like I love being a tourist. There's no shame in being a tourist, loving a tourist. But more than that, like we think if we were to go on a route, a retreat, you know, we want it to be health and wellness based. So what does that mean? The activities, the food, the environments, I think you want it to be low stress. You want it to be social where you're connecting with people. So I think it's like, what does, you know, what does wellness mean to you or health mean to you while you're on vacation? I've done the vacations with my family where, you know, I went on one family trip and we were drinking margaritas for breakfast every day. It's so much fun, but felt like hoop at the end of the week. I was just like, I never had more fun in my entire life,
Starting point is 00:21:05 but because I just drank and ate and just partied the whole week, I'm like a day partier. I'm not a, I'm not a night partier anymore. I can't, I can't, I can't even stay up past 10 o'clock. So I love, I love that meme. That was like anything you can do at midnight. You can also do it two o'clock in the afternoon. Like there's no need to wait until midnight. Right, right. I'm totally about that. Yeah, well, what's this? Oh, you guys are all giving all your destinations.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Amsterdam has wonderful art galleries and culture. Yeah, I see, I love that. So we do, we need to start a new weight loss by Gina travel division, wellness travel division. So we're starting with our crews in April. So if you're interested in that, okay, what's our, I digress. What's our next, what's our, our next topic. Okay. So our next topic I actually got. So for those who didn't know, so Dr. Ruth was on in the weight loss group yesterday discussing the living
Starting point is 00:22:00 method and her research into the living method and she touched on maintenance. So we'll talk a bit about a bit more about Dr. Ruth and where you can hear that. But what she did say is the key to maintenance that she's learned from the members is to take the learning with you. So you've learned so much and our members that have been successful in maintenance have taken the learning with them. And there are so many principles and there's so many things that you can learn. So I'm just interested to hear what you all and our members that are here live, what learning do they think is key? If they had to
Starting point is 00:22:35 choose one, I mean, it's so hard to choose one, but if you had to choose one, what do you think it would be? What do you think that learning would be? Well, I'll, I, here's what I think. I think it's learning what doesn't work for you anymore. I think that's a big one. I think that your, you have to look at your life before you started the living method. And I don't just mean the living method, this, this, this pursuit of change, this pursuit of health and wellness, you were a byproduct of the life that you were living and the choices that you were making. I think, and no matter all the stuff you learn to make the change, I think it's about understanding what didn't work for you or what you no longer want anymore. It's what you've learned, what does work for you, what supports the life that you want to live. And, but more importantly, I think it's good to know
Starting point is 00:23:29 what does it, I always say this about the diet industry, right? So in, in spending 30 years working in the diet industry, I have learned what works, but more importantly, I have learned what doesn't work. And so I think learning what doesn't work is probably or what no longer serves you or I think that would be that's that's what I would go with. That's yours. Yeah, that's mine. I was I'm with Rhonda. Mindfulness would be mine because I don't think I ever felt that before. I think I went from going from, you know, parents telling you what you eat, when to eat. You can't eat at this time, you have to eat at this time, finish what's on your plate, don't eat all that. I'm constantly
Starting point is 00:24:11 having that told to me and then diets restrictive, this is what you can have, this is what you can have, this is how much of everything to go to actually knowing what I need. And my favorite feeling in the world is that confidence when I have eaten something. And even if regardless of what the portion looks like, whether it's big or small, when I finished that, and I feel like that's just enough, I don't need any more and being recognizing that feeling. I think that mindfulness piece of it is my biggest, like learning that I think I apply now to everything, not just eating. I apply it to like relationships, how like sleep, being mindful of my sleep, being mindful of relationships. What's, you know,
Starting point is 00:24:51 what I want and what I don't mind and what, and, and what works for me and what doesn't. Sometimes I don't listen to myself, but in general, I can hear it. Same. There's a couple here, Patty, letting go of your past. That's a couple here patty letting go of your past that's a big one and following it up with never be a prisoner of your past it was just a lesson not a life sentence karen right having a plan having a plan is key oh i like this i like this one there are so many i think having a plan was key for me i make sure i have healthy meals and snacks ready because I ate what was available, not what was good for me.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Right. Yeah. Learning how to support your new lifestyle and the changes that you've made. Love that. I love learning that, um, learning that one day, one off day or one off week doesn't make everything a lost cause. You know, how many times in the past have people had one off day or one off week and been like, well, forget it. Screw it. I'm, you know, I've, I've, I've, I might as well throw in the past have people had one off day or one off week and been like, well, forget it.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Screw it. I might as well throw in the towel. I feel like learning that, learning that it doesn't have to be a lost cause, I think it's huge. I think it comes, like you said, what Kim said about confidence. It's just confidence in a different way. You're confident in knowing that it doesn you know, it doesn't have to be over just because of one day or one week. Yeah. I love that. I changed my answer all of the above.
Starting point is 00:26:15 No, you can only choose one. That was the rule. Yeah. It's really, I'm sitting here thinking about if I could only choose one. And, you know, I think, I mean, there's so many lessons there really is. I mean, we could go on to the end of our segment here. But if I had to pick just one, I think it would be progress over perfection. Because that just encompasses all of it. Right? Yeah. You know, you can't do this wrong. You know, you fall off your bike, you get back on like, you know, the fact that you can't do it wrong. The only thing you do wrong is to give up. Right. So progress over perfection, I think, is, you know, kind of a good mantra. Right. That's a good one. That's a good one. I do highly suggest that people haven't had the opportunity to listen to the conversation. It's now available over on our podcast, the Living Method podcast, I believe. And one of the things that, so Odette and Kim and I are getting together tomorrow to start working on, not to start working on, Odette's like, start. I've been working on it all year. I've been typing straight for two years.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Work on the maintenance program that we're putting together, a structured program. It's going to have a book. It will have an app to go with it. And Ruth, I sent them to Odette the other day, has given us some great insight from what her team is learning in the maintenance program. And one of the things she talks about is this need to be intentional about maintenance, about reframing finally and forever, right? Like what is finally and forever mean to you? Because it's like, it's this, it's like this such a big thing, but it's so individual. And Ruth is talking about, it's more like living the living way. It's like taking everything that you have learned and be intentional about continuing to implement it in order to support this new way of living, right? Like that's what
Starting point is 00:28:13 you're, this morning on the live, I was talking like your best life is right now today. If you woke up today and you are alive, this is your best life. But what you are working with, with the Livvy method and being intentional, intentional making change is creating the lifestyle. I think that's what you've been doing. You're creating the lifestyle that's going to best suit you and serve you at the end of the day, you know? So, so I'm really looking forward to, um, getting together and really working on this maintenance program. I think it's going to be a game changer. So here's what I have to ask. What do we think? What do we think it's going to be? Like, what do we think the focus of the maintenance program and how beneficial that's going to be is? Thoughts on putting together a program versus what we have going on right now?
Starting point is 00:29:00 I think the benefits of having a program is it's going to be a nice, smooth transition for those coming out of the weight loss group because they sometimes come in to me and they're like, I don't know where to go. I don to know where you're going. So to have a bit of a roadmap where they don't have to think about what am I doing? How do I do this? We're going to help them do that. And all they have to think about is like you said, that intention, what are your intentions? Why are you going day to day, week to week? What are you setting up for yourself? So I think that having a roadmap and having a smoother transition to finally in forever versus just like, here you go out of the nest, you know, figure it out. So I think that, I think that's going to be the benefit. And I think, sorry, just to have like a bit of the technology piece as well. You know, I think a lot of our members, they love to have the, they've been asking for an app. I mean, the app is going to look a little bit different than a weight loss app, of course. But, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:04 having that technology, I think it's going to, it is going to go a long way for them as well. Yes. Kim, what were you gonna say? I think I agree with Odette that the intention and the transition are the two big important things. I think that well, specifically, I'm thinking, looking back two years into when, you know, maintenance started and kind of where we thought people were going to be versus where they are. And that it, it almost seemed like it was like a holding pattern or holding area where like, I'm not really sure where I am. Am I still losing? Am I done? And I think that transition and having that intentional, if there's someone who's on the fence and confused about whether or not they are in maintenance or not, I think that transition and having that intentional, if there's someone who's on the fence and confused about whether or not they are in maintenance or not, I think that the intention of this and the focus of it being maintenance is takes away that gray area.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Because right now people are like, well, I'm repeating the program to solidify. And there's that whole like, oh, how do I tailor this information to maintenance versus weight loss? And I think that could probably be adding to some of the confusion of people that flip flop back and forth and having that, that sort of solidified and intentional maintenance message in the information and having a program that is focused specifically on maintenance versus them feeling like they have one foot in each place is what's really going to ground people in their maintenance. I think so too. I see Vicky, you're nodding your head. Yeah, that makes so much sense. Like I, I know that I did additional programs in the weight loss group only because
Starting point is 00:31:35 it was scary to get to that jumping off point, you know, as, you know, as much support as we get, you know, that you're going to be fine. It's still scary to kind of close apron strings and detach from the formal groups, right? I mean, the tools are there and the support's there, but it's still a scary thing. So I think this is, this is awesome. Yeah. I hear Kylie. I think this will be a game changer. I've been continuing in the weight loss group mainly because I'm worried to go totally on my own roadmap for the win. Yeah. I mean, this is where we want you to lose your weight, solidify, maintain your weight. And then we got to work on that third group that that I don't know, finally in Forever Club or something. I don't know. We'll have to work on that. But we need a destination because it's not just getting to Disneyland. Once you drive to Disneyland, that's a whole other can of worms. Where are you going to go? Where are you going to park? Where are you going to stay?
Starting point is 00:32:28 What are you going to see? All of that, right? Navigating that. And then you got to, I guess, drive back to your new home, wherever that is. I don't know. Bad analogy. I'm happy to be a guinea pig too if our perspective will help. So with that said, those of you who are already in the maintenance program, we're already
Starting point is 00:32:46 trying to figure out how to give you access to that maintenance group. So we're already talking about that. So we'll be expecting it to be, you have been the Guinea, you have been the Guinea pig, Valerie. Yeah. Without even knowing. We have a whole booklet on you. You all have been Guinea pigs because I didn't even think we needed this maintenance group to begin with. And I know I can speak for Odette and Kim. We have learned so much over the last couple of years because of all of the feedback, because of all of our guests, like Vicky, who've joined us for these conversations. So that this is where we're going to sit down and we're going to reflect on that over the next couple of days and come up
Starting point is 00:33:23 with an amazing maintenance program that I truly believe as well will be a game changer for sure. Okay. We are over our time. That went by so fast. Odette, what do you got? What do you want to say? What do you got coming up? I know that we're shutting her down this weekend. Yeah. I wanted to say that. So Saturday, Sunday. So the group is still open this weekend, but the entire team is off because we're coming together for our big annual party, which is, you know, we're so lucky to have Kim and the BC crew coming out. So the group is open, but there won't be many team members in there, but feel free, you know, write your intentions, put your reflections down and we'll come back on Monday and get to everybody. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:01 I've given everybody two days off, right? Saturday and Sunday. Yeah. Did you want to extend that to three? I mean, I'm thinking about it actually. I'm kidding. No, we have too much work to do on Monday. No, we have too much work to do the next few days. Is maintenance on hold in August? No. So the maintenance program will go out throughout the summer. It's just for two days because our team is all where we're all, we'll be partying. Our team is across scattered across Canada. Everyone works remotely. So this is the one time a year where we bring,
Starting point is 00:34:33 we fly everybody in and we were all at the hotel and we all hang out and there's a bunch of stuff that's organized. We do a whole sort of celebratory work weekend. So it's just this weekend. We do a whole sort of celebratory work weekend. So it's just this weekend. We'll have some stuff going on in the summer throughout the summer. So I'm not going anywhere. I'll be dropping in every now and then. We do tend to be a bit more relaxed in the summer, but we'll still have a full team of people working here in the maintenance group. So we will be around. We're not going anywhere. We'll be here. All right. Vicky Vicky, thank you so much for joining ladies as always. I'm looking
Starting point is 00:35:09 forward to seeing you tomorrow. Um, everyone else who is watching live or listening, thanks for joining us today. We'll see you again next time. Bye. Bye guys.
