I love that intro song.
It gets me every time.
It never gets old.
Now that there's this conversation,
because it seems like we're switching up the things we're conversating about each week.
Welcome to Weigh In Wednesday.
I mean, this is where we talk about anything and everything
maintenance related.
We tend to also talk about anything and everything else
related to life because we are living our lives
in maintenance. So this segment is meant to get you to go, hmm, to step out of your comfort zone,
to step out of your box, to have you thinking differently. I think we make so much change,
not just physically, but mentally on our weight loss journey. And now being in maintenance is a,
is a way to see the world differently. I agree. Hi, Odette. Hi, Kim. Of course,
joining me is Odette, who is the manager of the maintenance program. Kim, who is the manager of
the weight loss program. Of course, we've spent the last few years helping real people on very
real journeys, really uncovering what people
really need to know, what they are recognizing, what they are working through, not just while
losing weight, but now while maintaining weight. So that's always sort of the angle that we're
coming from. How are you guys doing? Feeling good? What's going on? Yeah, I'm good. I'm feeling a
little, to be honest, a little bit tired this week. I don't know. I mean, I've had some stuff going on in the background and, you know, you feel like you get to good headspace and then all of a sudden your body is like, you're tired, you need to rest. So I think it's just, yeah, I feel good. I just feel a little tired, to be honest. Yeah, I'm not going to ride your coattails, but I get you. I'm feeling the same. Is it like a September, like we're into September, we're all so excited, that freshness
in the air, that renewed energy, and now we're all like, fuck. Well, I'm glad you said that,
because that's actually one of our first topics this week. Is it? Okay. All right. Well, before
we get into that, Kim, how are you doing? You feeling the same? What's going on with you? I am doing good, but yes, I am. And I think part of our topic of
fall is a good one because it is, I feel like there's seasonal change that plays into that,
but I love your thought of like everything's so exciting in September and it's new because we did
kind of chat about that a couple of weeks ago. And now that sort of is wearing off and we're,
a lot of us are back to the grind and trying not to be same old, same old with our energy.
Yeah. Like the, like the, the post new year vibe and hype, right? Like buying into that,
you know, new year, new you, la la la la. And three weeks later, you're just like,
fuck. Tammy here is saying the days are getting shorter and less daylight. It affects her like,
or it affects many people.
And I think that's a lot of what we do too, yeah.
Good point.
It's depressing, though.
Yesterday, I went to go take my kids something at work.
And I'm so glad I left the house at that time, because when I came back out in my car, there was a beautiful rainbow.
Like, just, rainbows never get old.
I don't know. They're just so magical. And I was just like, oh, it was amazing. Okay. What are we specifically talking
about in terms of getting the gist that this is somewhat on track for the conversation today,
but what exactly are we talking about? Yeah. So, well, the first thing we want to talk about,
so we've been talking a lot about motivation and mindfulness in the group this week.
So talking motivation, this actually came from a member in the group.
So I want to know, what F word do you use to describe this season?
Because some of our members are using fall, some of our members are using fresh, and some of our members are using F it. So I want to, we want to know what, what F word you would
use, because I've been hearing a lot that motivation is down right now. People just
aren't feeling motivated. They don't know why. And, you know, is it just the darker days? I was
thinking, is it just the darker days? And then I started going down a rabbit hole and I was reading
that it's also about the mindset around this season,
that people just a lot of people just don't like the season, they love the summer,
they love the feeling of the summer and that vibe. And then they come into fall and they're like,
meh, whatever. And they can't then and they're blaming that for not feeling motivated. It's
the season, but it's, you know, maybe more about the mindset around the season
and being proactive to make it a season that you enjoy
and what that means.
So I want to know what you guys, I know,
I think we were all feeling fresh a few weeks ago.
Now, how are we feeling about this season?
Yeah, but why?
Kim, you want to go?
Sure, yeah.
Because I feel like this, off of that fresh start, the fall
is where we build that foundation again for the year ahead. And so whether or not you prescribe
to the new year stuff, the things that we're doing right now in the fall to prepare for that new year,
January 1st is our foundation. So coming
off that fun summer where we were maybe being frivolous with our energy and our time and
things like that, coming back to a schedule, back to habits, back to some of those things,
and then even like comfort when you think about like the soups and sweaters. That's all like the foundation to build your next step on. So I
think of the fall as a foundational F word, maybe. I love that. That's so hopeful. That's so hopeful.
I want to remind people to get on their vitamin D, right? So it could be a very real thing.
Vitamin D levels are dropping. I never look better than I do on vacation. I never feel better than when I do on vacation.
I don't know if it's the heat. I don't know if it's a different environment. I don't know if
it's away from my stress. I don't know what it is. There's a significant difference. And vacation
Gina's face is a lot different than Gina's fall face, put it that way.
And I think this summer might represent that for people.
Like, yes, weather-wise it's warmer, but it's that not everyone is working to the grind like we normally are the rest of the year.
You know what I mean?
There's a little bit more relaxedness to it.
And then I think we're all maybe feeling our indulgences.
So we're looking forward to a fresh start in the fall. But then
I think we fall back into our old overstressed, overscheduled, over whatever. Plus now it's cold,
it's darker, it's drearier. And then I think the holiday season, as much as Thanksgiving is great
and Halloween is fun and Christmas is la,, Christmas is la la la la la. I
think there's a lot of stress in that. I think there's a lot of stress in it. I think there's
relationship stress and family stress and financial stress with these big events.
It's like one more thing on top of all our other things. So I think even though we look forward to
spending time with friends and family, maybe that's stressful for us. So just as I'm thinking about it, it's
like Christmas, the most wonderful time of year. It's also the most stressful time of year.
So I don't know how I'm feeling. Maybe that's a crappy fucking attitude about fall. I don't know.
I mean, maybe I should start making soups and, you know, I don't know, putting pumpkins in my house to decorate. I don't know.
I should embrace sweater weather. Like, yeah. Yeah. And that's what, that's exactly the point
that a few, I was reading a few things and that was exactly the point. Like if fall is this time
when you're feeling like it's fall, it's, you know, it's, I'm flagging here. I've got so many
more responsibilities again. It's about being intentional with making it a season that you can enjoy.
So not thinking about the days or the days are short. It's good. Dark.
You know, I feel awful or it's cold. I feel awful or I, you know, I have to wear socks and shoes again.
I hate that. And, you know, maybe finding those activities you do
like, maybe you can find joy in walking, you know, in crisp leaves, or maybe you can find joy in those
fall scents, you know, maybe you're going to go smell some candles because that's going to bring
you some joy. You know, it's really being intentional about what you do like about the
season and focusing on that versus, you know, letting yourself, telling
yourself that you don't like it.
Cause then you're just not going to like it.
I love Risa.
Risa's like fabulous.
Her word is fabulous.
No matter what I'm going through, I've never felt physically better.
And I'm pushing myself because my mother has taught me to stay positive and strong.
I love Karen's.
Her word is filter.
I'm trying to remove things that aren't benefiting me.
Ooh, I love that. There you go. I think we have a transitional season here that is going to be
more positive versus, you know, getting back to the fall. I never thank you for this question
because I wasn't really reflecting on how the fall, I got a lot of stuff. We had a lot of
exciting stuff coming out here at Weight Loss by Gina. It's all very exciting. It's also,
you know, working creates more work. It creates Loss by Gina. It's all very exciting. It's also, you know, working creates more work.
It creates more work.
And although it's all very exciting, it's a lot.
And I think it's easy to kind of like fall into that fuck it vibe.
Yeah.
Right.
And, you know, rather than, okay, I can be busy at work, but really, you know, really
enjoy the fall season, the leaves changing and the smell in the air.
And maybe like, maybe I'll put my fireplace on tonight and, you know, really just being,
maybe it's a gratitude, right? Gratitude that we're still around to enjoy the fall.
Yeah. And I think it's important not to let it be an excuse for you too, right? Like to not be like,
oh, well, it's fall and I'm not feeling it. so I'm not going to do the things I need to do or I'm just going to wallow in it you know not letting that be an
excuse so I think yeah yeah I mean it's being intentional finding those things that will make
you love the season all right my cozy here I'm ready to put it on I had my I pulled my cozy
cozy out today uh I pulled mine out today.
Okay.
What?
So I love this.
I love that.
There's plaza.
Thanks for focusing on this today.
I need your good ideas.
Gratitude, right?
Sometimes we just need to take a minute.
Again, that's what these conversations are.
You never know what the topic is or what your takeaway is, but there always seems to be
something that makes you go.
Yeah.
All right.
Different way.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's go next.
Okay.
So that was my uh motivation
and so mindfulness another big thing we're talking about obviously so there is this new concept
about um it's all it's blowing up social media and it's about doing things specifically it's
it's around flying so people are committing to taking these long-haul flights without any entertainment, without any distraction, with the purpose of having a more whether it's, you know, just going about your day
and not being distracted or entertained in the moment. And I was, a lot of people were weighing
in saying, that's a really scary place. It's a really scary place to have to do things without
distraction because then you have to deal with everything that pops in. So I want to know, do you, do you,
you know, are you no protection, no problem. Do you know, are you not protected by the lack of
entertainment and distraction when you're doing things? I mean, I'm guilty of still being on my
phone often, you know, when I'm eating or preparing something. So are you guys,
are you guys still distracted and entertained going through
everyday things? I'll go. I'm all or nothing. I'm either on my phone or I am not on it at all. I
actually, when I go away, when I'm lucky enough to go away on vacation and I'm lying there and
I'm looking around and I'm seeing people on their phones, or I think a lot about capturing moments. And I guess I'm old
enough to remember when we didn't have phones. I got my first flip phone when I was 25 years old.
Like people always say, you know, why don't you have more before and after photos? Well,
because I didn't walk around doing this and taking photos. Like I didn't have a phone in my pocket.
I come from old school. Your phone was attached to a wire and you clicked it. I know I'm dating myself. Right. So I think a lot about
how we would have traveled differently, how we would have communicated differently,
how, you know, when the kids are young and we didn't have phones, we played I spy.
Right. Like I think about this a lot on vacation or people really having a vacation when they just literally are on their phones.
But then I see Tony, like I will lie on a sunbed and go in the ocean and watch the people walk by and whatever.
Well, he's on his phone the whole time, but it brings him happiness.
He likes to learn and read and whatever.
Also, he's younger than me.
So I'm looking at you.
He's younger than me. So he doesn looking at you. He's younger than me.
So he doesn't, he was born with a phone in his hand.
He doesn't know.
I feel sad sometimes for people who don't know how to disconnect because I think it
was a wonderful world.
I think technology is marvelous, but I do, people are constantly connecting.
It's not worth doing unless you record it.
And our memories, like, let's just be in the moment.
I know that's so cliche, but I am totally happy on a plane.
I do get a little annoyed if there's not movies to watch,
only because I enjoy watching movies on a plane,
not because I need them.
My old Tony has downloaded.
He's playing, like, he's listening to things.
He's playing games on his phone. Like, my old Tony has downloaded, he's playing, like he's listening to things. He's
playing games on his phone. Like he's, that's his entertainment. I, I could, I could literally lose
my phone tomorrow and never look back, never look back. And I think I wish the world I'm sad.
Ask me how I really feel about this. I'm sad that generations that come will, will not know what that world was like.
And if I could go back, I would go back.
I could go live on an island somewhere.
Totally fine.
I'm not going to go back, like live off the land and farm,
but put me on a tropical island.
That's mine.
I could totally do it.
I could lose my phone tomorrow and never look back. That's me. I, I could totally do it. I could, I could lose my phone tomorrow and never
look back. Yeah. That's me. I don't, I don't know if I could, I find myself, I find myself like,
where's my phone? Where's my phone? Where's my phone? Like, even like I'm upstairs and I'm going
downstairs to the kitchen. Where's my phone? You know, like I have a really hard time with it.
And I felt like when I was like, again, like I said, I was reading this and people were saying it's,
it's scary to not be distracted.
Like what would I do if I wasn't on my phone?
I have to have thoughts.
What does that mean?
And maybe that's where I am right now.
Maybe I need a digital detox.
Maybe we all need it.
Maybe that's our next challenge.
Maybe we're doing a digital detox.
I love that.
I'm in.
And, and so that's.
We'll be able to get ahold of Gina for like a week she'll be
that's why you won't hear from me for a couple days that happens though people will send me a
message and I'm like on a Thursday Friday and I'll be like get back hi yeah I'm like um no I'm either
on it or I'm not even not yeah I took a digital detox last Christmas for three weeks. I went, I still haven't posted
photos. I, our family, we were lucky enough, 12 of us, we went to Bali, Singapore, Hong Kong.
Not one of those photos has seen the light of day. I did not post at all. I just was so in the moment
and it was like, it was everything I needed and more. I spent time with my kids and conversation. It's not just like
taking the photos. It's having it with you the whole time. You realize when you take time away
from it, how like you've probably feel it's literally connected to you. Like if it's,
it feels weird, right? Okay. Just look at it now. I just got a notification. I just looked at it now.
I'm going to turn it upside down. Yeah, I do.
I do sometimes feel that way.
Like I'm waiting for something.
I just go on my phone or if I'm.
Yeah.

I did that last night.
I feel like there's pros and cons to it, and there's different things.
Like, one of the things I used to always think, like, oh, I need to watch a movie, read a book.
I have been completely embracing listening to music.
So the last couple times I've flown, I've downloaded playlists onto my phone ahead of time and just listened to music. So the last couple of times I've flown, I've downloaded
playlists onto my phone ahead of time and just listen to music, like eyes closed, relax and
listen to music. And I think like we used to have Walkmans before, or like the old, remember the old
MP3 players that we, you know, you didn't need an internet. You had things downloaded on them,
what you used to use. It was a little different. Like we've always, I've always read on a plane. Even before I had a phone, I used to,
when I was a kid, I used to fly by myself a lot. So I would know no one on the plane and my parents
would put me on the plane to my grandparents' house and I'd be on the flight for a few hours
by myself. So you color, you read a book. Those are always my go-to things. But now that the seats
are so small and you know, you want to like bring out a book, you can always my go-to things. But now that the seats are so small and, you know,
you want to like bring out a book, you can't color. I don't feel like doing anything. And I've
discovered that like listening to music is really nice. So I love the technology for something like
that, but I've noticed more and more to your point, Gina, about doing like that detox or removing
yourself. Like I went for a hike with my daughter and a couple of friends the other day, and I got one picture
on the hike of my daughter and her friend and didn't take any other pictures.
It was beautiful, but I just was able to enjoy it.
But I also have that backup of I have an Apple Watch and I have certain notifications.
Like, for example, you, Gina, if you text me or call me, usually my phone goes off.
So, but it cuts out some of the other noise. Like I have my kids. If my kids, I have certain numbers
that I can put through on my phone. And if somebody tries to get ahold of me, I get that
notification and I think, okay, I will answer that call or I'll, you know, check that notice,
but to not have to feel like I constantly need
to check my phone is something that I've sort of weaned myself off of. Cause the other day I
picked up my phone to do something and I was all of a sudden on Instagram and I'm like, what
happened? I was going to look at my calendar. All of a sudden I'm in Instagram. I'm scrolling
through the feed and I didn't even mean to do it. Like that was not the purpose of me picking up my phone. So I think I do get caught up in that
being distracted, but I also see some of the advantages of that technology. So I think it's
about finding the balance. Jodi, using the phone as a tool when needed, but realizing it's a hundred
percent an experience blocker, right? Trying to be more aware of what experiences the phone is blocking.
Is this Jody, Jody, our behind the scenes, Jody?
Get out here, Jody. Get out here. Come on.
Join us.
Oh no. Here we go.
I knew I should put that comment in there you should have been reading game on it
you live on technology do you not oh yeah yeah there it's a screen all day every day so yeah
can i can i share your journey jody can we share can we talk about that for a second
do you mind yeah yeah sure so jody's been doing the program and is down 20 pounds amazing i didn't know that yeah yeah i started last program this is my second program so
amazing jody congrats how do you feel mind blown he said that it works yeah yeah i said oh my
goodness did he finally sign his employment contract now?
Yeah.
Okay, fine.
Fine.
I guess it's a good idea.
So, Joey, let me ask you,
because you've been with us for longer
than the last couple of programs.
So you decided to finally do the program.
I want to know your thoughts on it,
but you've been listening to the maintenance conversations
bigger than that for a while now.
So how are you feeling?
How are you feeling about doing the program?
How do you feeling about, you know, maintenance?
Like what's your takeaway from all of, all of this?
I thought I was going to talk about my phone.
Never.
You can never know what you're going to talk about.
Yes, it's true. Well, it's funny going back a few programs. I think I said like, Oh, I've got some pounds I want to
lose. And Gina was like, well, if only you worked for a weight loss company and I, and it landed,
I think harder than you thought. Cause then I was like, yeah, why, why am I not actually like
diving in here? I think, cause it was work, you know, I was working, but, um, but
yeah, sitting in on all the conversations, uh, I mean, to sum it up, the only other time I've lost
weight this easily is when I run like every day, like 5k a day, every day. And it was just not
easy to do. Uh, and I keep saying to my wife, I'm like, wow, this actually, it's just, I'm eating
and it works. Um, but I'm still like, I'm not in maintenance
because like, I'm still a couple more pounds to lose. So I, um, I'm enjoying all the conversation.
I can say, repeat a lot of the things back, but I haven't lived that experience yet. So I don't,
I don't want to put myself there. Um, cause I feel like there's some solidifying that has to
happen. There's a ways to go before I'm, before I'm here, but I love being in the background of all the conversations and sometimes
obviously not in the background, like right now.
Well, that's how Tony got hooked. Tony did the pro. He kept talking.
I got to lose weight. And I'm like, yeah, yeah, whenever I'm not helping you.
I know a great weight loss program. So he went and signed up for it.
And then he was all like, Holy shit, this like works. This he's nodding his head.
He's over there. He's like, this works what the heck uh and then he was sold and
bought in so congratulations um congratulations thank them i'm jody yeah i'm honored that you put
your faith in our program and you did the program um how often do you say, Jody, that you're on your phone?
Oh, too much, too much. So that's why this experience blocker thing came to light because
my wise wife was saying that she had read that or saw it somewhere and that, and you tend to think
it really does, Kim, like you were saying, you pick it up to do one thing and you end up somewhere
else and it's been, you know, 40 minutes and you're like, whoa, what,
like, what did I miss? Or even if you're watching a show, how often are you like,
can you just play it back, put it back a minute or two? I got distracted by my phone.
But then it can happen in much more important aspects of life. Like you find, you pick it up to respond to a notification at a major event. Like, I don't know, my nephew's hockey game or
something. And then I'm missing this like experience that is much more important than whatever I'm scrolling through. And so it's,
yeah, it's still a tool. I'm not going to ditch it because like I use it like for work and you
know, it's a great, it's my camera. Like I, it's a great way to capture experiences,
but there's also just those times you have to take a step back and be like, Whoa, what am I doing? Like I need to maybe put it down or put it on silent or now's not the time
to pull it out of my pocket, even though I felt it go off. Because, you know, we are with people
here and now sharing an experience. So it's I'm not, I'm not there yet. But it's putting it into
that sort of perspective has helped a little bit to be like, I want to, I want to prioritize this experience that's happening right now, rather than whatever
is waiting for me on the phone. It'll still be there.
Yeah. I love that. I mean, aren't we all just trying to create the life of our dreams,
like create the life, like how we want to live. And, you know, I think being cognizant of these
things, which I love these conversations, it makes you think, oh yeah, maybe I am on it all
the time or it doesn't have to be all or nothing.
We're not saying don't ever go on your phone again,
but maybe give some thought to how much time you are spending on your phone
and how you feel about it.
Ask yourself the same questions.
And to Jodi's point, what is it blocking?
You know, what experience or what mindfulness
and even mindfulness experience is it blocking?
I think that's important too.
I love that.
All right. Thanks.
Okay.
Let me just get a little,
I don't have, I don't have that same thing.
I think sometimes he's got the cool technology. That's right.
It's for everyone.
Um, just cognitive time. We have about four minutes left um i see you have love it or leave it stress and sleep strategies what is this yeah okay so we've been talking stress and sleep a lot so let's
just do a quick rapid fire here and talk about if these are strategies that we love and use or if
so okay stress when you guys are feeling stressed do you move your body you and use or if we leave it. So, okay.
Stress.
When you guys are feeling stressed, do you move your body?
Do you love it or do you leave it?
Love it.
Leave it.
Yeah.
I'm going to leave it too.
Deep breathing.
Love it or leave it when you're feeling stressed.
Love it.
I love it, but I.
Liar.
No, I love it, but I leave it. I don't do it. I love it, but I... Liar. No, I love it, but I leave it.
I don't do it.
I love the idea. I love it.
And I actually have like an app on my watch that says take like a breath and it goes for a minute and it vibrates to an inhale or an exhale.
So I love, I'm a deep breathing love it.
Nice.
Epsom salt baths when you're feeling stressed,
love it or leave it?
Leave it.
I would, like, I love it,
but I got to find them and I'm going to leave it.
Yeah, I love baths.
I don't have Epsom salts though,
but I do love a bath.
I hate cleaning up after it.
Yeah, yeah.
And like, yeah, and like you said,
trying to find the,
where did I put the salt and the essential oils?
Where did I put it? Yeah, I'll have a bath though. like, yeah. And like you said, trying to find the, where did I put the salt and the essential oils? I'll have a bath though. Okay. Supplements. So do you add them in or do you increase them when you're feeling stressed? So like your omegas and your L-theanines and do you find you use them more?
I do.
Oh yeah, absolutely. Love it. Yeah.
Yeah. I love it too.
Yeah.
And professional help, love it or leave it.
Oh, I was going to say, I love it when I'm into it, but when I'm not into it, I leave it when I
should use it. It's hard. Cause when you're feeling not great, the last thing you want to
do is go there. But then when you go there, you feel better. Or have one more thing that feels
overwhelming on your plate like making an
appointment getting there going there doing the work so yeah i think um so i i want to love it
but i haven't yet so i'm kind of at this point where i need to make that choice do i want to
jump in and love it or do i want to leave it i think i I want to love it. But like Kim said, I have to just get there.
Yeah. I think I will love it, but we'll see. I think so too. Okay. And then sleep. So sleep strategies. Do you eat early when your sleep's not great? Do you love it or leave it? Leave it.
Yeah. I love it. I try. Like I've been sleeping great now, so I'm not eating at night.
Well, I don't eat at night, but I can't adjust my dinner time ever because, well, I mean, I could,
but it means eating separately from my family. I haven't gone into digging into actually making
that change when I'm not sleeping well, but I still eat fairly early. Like we don't eat later
than say seven o'clock at night. So. Yeah. And last night I might've gone into the fridge and
got some salami slices and put pesto
in there and ate those. But then I was like, I should have left that. That'd be good. I'm gonna
leave it eat early. I tend to eat late and I try not to, and I still do. So I'm gonna leave it.
So sleep, do you guys have a relaxing bedtime routine? Do you love it or leave it?
Love it when I can.
We are on an on the fence bunch today.
Because I think we should do it more. We understand the importance of doing it. I would say I love my routine. It's not the best routine, but I do. I love nighttime routines. One of my
favorite things to do for sure. Yeah. I have a great one and I love my routine, but I mean, my son plays hockey and his games
don't end until 11 o'clock at night.
I'm not about to start that hour long process and stay up till midnight.
So I can't do it every night, but when I have a night, when I can do it, oh, love it.
You believe it.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Move it along.
I'm a love it.
I love my, um, nighttime.
So, uh So brain dump.
Do you guys do a brain dump at night?
Is that part of your sleep routine?
So a brain dump is just getting all the thoughts that are in your mind out either on paper or digitally.
And then you leave them there and then you go to bed.
I just did a brain dump on Tony about a half hour ago.
You should have waited until bedtime.
Take it back and do it again before you go to sleep. He's like, do you want me to do it? What am I supposed to do? I'm like, nothing.
I bet. That's exactly what I did. I just dumped it all on him and I got to go, got to go chat
with the girls. I'm going to start after, you know, we've been doing that sleep series. I'm
going to, I'm going to start doing more of a brain dump. Yeah.
So I leave it, but I'm going to start doing it.
Yeah.
Kim?
I leave it.
I leave it too.
I'm terrified that I won't be able to stop thinking about the stuff once I dump it out.
I have gone up.
So see where my office is here.
It's kind of my bedroom's just down the hall. I've actually gotten up out of bed at two o'clock in the morning and come here and written
notes and then gone and then gone back to bed.
And you wake up, you're like, oh, I have a thought.
And I go and I thought, you know, that thought could just come to me at 945 instead of 2
a.m.
That would be a more productive brain down.
But yeah.
But that's the way to do it.
Atlanta, Atlanta said that today.
Like, get up.
Go dump it somewhere and then get back to bed.
Yeah.
Once I'm done in here, I tend to close the door and not come back in.
Sometimes at 2 in the morning is in here.
Oh.
Okay.
So environment.
So do you create a sleep environment?
Do you love it or leave it?
Cool, dark, white noise, sleep mask.
Harry Styles.
I'm not sure where that came from.
I love it. Harry Styles. What app is it on babes?
What's Harry Styles on?
Oh, he's on the calm app.
Calm app.
He's on the calm app.
It's my go-to. So yes, dark windows open.
Cool.
I don't do sleep mask, although I do, I do use one as a hairband.
I was thinking about actually using it.
I just started. Oh, love it.
Yeah.
So I'm going to definitely love it.
And whenever I'm not like, Tony will be like, do you want me to put Harry on?
I'm like, yeah.
So it's just like his voice and he takes you through this journey.
And every time I'm out.
So yeah, I'm going to love it.
I'm a huge, massive environment.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm going to love it too.
So cool.
So I like my room cool, but I'd like to be warm in my bed, actually dark and white noise. I like my ceiling fan. So I don't actually have a white noise machine, but I do like my ceiling fan.
I like zero noise. I can't do fans that I can hear every single little noise, but I like cool dark. And I just started using a sleep mask and absolutely love it. I'm really curious about this option of having Harry Styles in my bedroom where I'm trying to go to sleep. So listen, I've been trying to have Harry Styles
in my bedroom for three years and it hasn't happened yet. I followed him all the way to
New York city once and still. He's still going to drag him in there.
You may know I'm on to him by now. I'm not sure. It's a sleep. It's a sleep. It's a sleep story
that he does. Here's Tammy.my oh yeah it's got to have my
ear plugs eye mask neck pillow socks lotion on my feet cool light blanket nighty night i'm in
do you guys it's not on my list here but do you guys use a weighted blanket or have you ever used
a weighted blanket i have uh and it worked really well i think until kind of later menopause-ish where it's just too
hot for me. I love the weight though. I actually use another blanket on top and the weight,
I love the idea. Mine also was really heavy. I went for like the 15 pound one when I think I
should have gone for the maybe five, 10, but yeah, I love my kids actually still, I have two and my
kids took both of them. So, but I love the idea the idea of it I love I love weight on me for sure yeah I was just thinking that I just I have one downstairs
in my son's room but I love when my dog I have a small dog and she's on my bed and she's leaning
on me and I love that feeling so maybe I would like the weighted blanket I just thought yeah
I think you would probably I know you guys all have dogs. Do your dogs snore? I have a dog. She's cute, but man, she snores sometimes.
Oh my God.
Mine doesn't.
And mine doesn't actually sleep on the bed.
She comes up for maybe a half an hour
and I think she gets too hot and jumps off.
But just that initial time is...
That's a way.
And dogs on the bed or dogs off the bed.
Because we have one that's not allowed on the bed.
She's bigger and Tony,
she's not allowed on the bed.
But yeah, we have this little one and she's just as dirty and ratty and she comes on the bed. She's bigger and Tony, like she's not allowed on the bed, but yeah, we have
this little one and she's just as dirty and ratty and she comes on our bed, but she's so cute.
Yeah. My dog. Mine's not allowed on the bed, but that doesn't mean anything.
She's on the bed. She's not allowed, but she's there. She's not allowed, but that means nothing.
She doesn't understand what that means conversation for
another day um that was so fun it's nice just to hang out chat um you know give some thought to
some fun things uh oh yeah what do you got coming up in the maintenance group here yeah so next week
we are um same as in the weight loss group we're talking downsizing but we are talking downsizing
in a different way so it's going to be really interesting to see how people see our members take that in and how they respond and how they
react we're gonna do that and i wrote down digital detox maybe i'm going to put something together
for our members maybe we need like a three-day digital detox maybe we just detox when we're
maybe when we're eating we put the technology away or maybe i don't know i don't know i'm gonna
i think we're going to do a digital
detox. I mean, everyone will be like, where's Gina? I can't. Digital detox, guys. All right.
