I'm Gina Livy and welcome to the Livy Method podcast.
This is where you'll have access to all of the live streams from my 91 day weight loss program.
With a combination of daily lives, guest expert interviews and member stories,
there is something new almost every day.
Miss the morning live? Want to re-listen to one of our amazing guest experts?
Well, this is the place.
This podcast is hosted on Acast, but it's available
on all podcast platforms, including the one you're listening to right now, Spotify, Apple,
and Amazon Music. Welcome to Weigh In Wednesday, where we just like to hang out in the maintenance group and shoot the shit and talk about a variety of things.
Because we worked really hard to lose our weight, and now that we're here, we have other things we want to talk about.
And in all the ways that our life is affected now that we are living the Livvy way.
Joining me as always is Odette and Kim, the managers of the Weight Loss and the Maintenance
Program. And of course, we are always joined by our members as well who can weigh in with us. So
hi, ladies. How are you doing? Happy Halloween. It's Halloween today. No, wait, that's wrong.
Wait, I've eaten so much candy, I've lost track of what fucking day it is.
It's Halloween Eve today, I guess.
Yes.
Tonight's the night where you have to bring all your pumpkins in, right?
Because it's...
I didn't get any.
Oh, is that...
This night's the night people go around and smash all the pumpkins.
Yeah.
That is?
Yeah.
I haven't carved mine yet, though.
I'll get to it.
I'm not... I was going to do a whole bunch of pumpkins, and then I thought... carved mine yet, though. I'll get to it. I'm not.
I was going to do a whole bunch of pumpkins.
And then I thought, because I want the seeds.
I love the pumpkin seeds. They're so great for you.
Those would work for a nut and seed snack, by the way, everyone.
I love the seeds.
But then we're just like, no, we don't need them.
We're good.
No, I remember we used to be like, go and get four or five pumpkins.
We'd have a theme and we get
stencils and I said I think I'm getting to that point where I want to buy a plug-in one
plug it in put it away bring it back out but we do have you not carved what about you Kim
we well my husband is huge into Halloween it's his favorite holiday I keep telling him it's not
actually a holiday it's just like an event we don't get the day off or Halloween. It's his favorite holiday. I keep telling him it's not actually a holiday. It's just like,
we don't get the day off or anything, but it's his favorite.
And we used to live in a house with like a big set of stairs and he would do
a cluster of like 10 placed at the top of the landing and one for each step
going up for the kids to walk past. And now we did,
we got five this year thinking one for each of us,
but I don't usually carve one and we still have two of
them that need to be carved and he's out of town and he's the pumpkin carver so those two will
likely stay intact for Halloween but I love the seeds so the three we did scoop out on the weekend
I got this I roasted the seeds and they are delicious and I have been enjoying that for my
afternoon snack oh Oh, good.
Those seeds are so good.
So good.
What about Halloween candy?
Are you eating the Halloween candy?
Where are you guys at with that?
We have like a whole pile beside our bed on Tony's side.
Thank goodness it's on his side.
Every night he's digging.
I don't know that we have any left.
I literally saved some yesterday.
We're going to need to buy more.
I love candy.
Like I love candy. Like I love that.
Like the really artificial gummy,
like starburst skittles like that.
If like over anything,
I love candy.
So I always have a few pieces.
We haven't opened ours yet though.
We just got it,
but I will definitely have some tomorrow.
Yeah.
I'm looking forward to it.
Chocolate.
I can take or leave,
but the candy,
like the gummy candies, I bought licorice and I bought Jolly Rancher gummies and I bought Starburst like the two packs I already know it's there for me I'm just gonna
I've got to go get it Kim you're smiling what we have we have so Costco's had the favorites pack
with like the Smarties and coffee crisp and stuff on sale.
I think Mark bought five boxes of them and the kids in him have already plowed through one of
them. And I was like, eh, I don't know. I'm not like in the chocolate mood, but we also have all
the Starburst and stuff we get. We do like a little bags I buy. I go to the dollar store and
get those little Ziploc bags and put like a few treats.
And I've already made 150 of those packages.
They're ready to go.
I did it on the weekend.
Well, with Mark being away, I knew I wasn't going to have time for everything I needed to be organized.
So I'm ready for that.
But I was just thinking that I buy that stuff because it's like peanut free.
It's good for all the kids.
My kids like it but I
realized that those aren't really my favorite things I like coffee crisp but I used to love
going through the kids candy bag like when they came home and they dumped their kids their candy
out and there was stuff that they didn't like that they knew I liked and they would give it to me and
that like I and like Reese peanut butter cups and stuff I think are delicious but my kids are too old and they don't trick-or-treat anymore so they're not going
to bring anything home it's literally and as we were talking I realized the error in my ways of
not buying the stuff that I like for the Halloween candy it's like I probably won't have any because
I don't really care about the stuff I bought and nobody's bringing
anything else home for me so maybe I'll hit 20% off at the uh store's Halloween candy and
get something I like yeah and the problem go ahead the problem with those little candies is you have
one and then you have 17 wrappers beside you all a sudden. And you're like, where did that come? Like, I don't understand.
I had, I got one, but I had 17 rappers.
Like, it just, it's like this miracle.
I'm like having on Halloween.
Like I'm like you, the kids come home, let's pick through it.
What you got?
I mean, that's part of the thing. It's like opening presents Christmas day.
It's like, you know what I mean?
I'd rather just indulge in the one day.
I'm not, I keep it going. I don't like the lead up with all the candy I'm just like no um I'm
definitely but you know what I like I like those old-fashioned caramel chews with the Halloween
with the Halloween wrappers to me this is they're called Halloween or something like that like it's
weird because they're not like the chocolate pieces.
They're like a talking kids.
Yeah.
Bing.
Yeah.
And it's like the plastic,
like the wrapper actually sticks to them.
Right.
That one.
You gotta like,
yeah,
I like those ones too.
Give me that.
I loved all the time.
They're very polarizing.
Some people just,
you either love them or people like jody
who let us know they don't and you only get them at halloween and to me i mean that's that's
halloween i could go buy whatever chocolate bar i want coffee crisp by way it's just i don't
understand it i don't understand coffee crisp i don't get it i'm like a oh henry girl or a mars
bar or the crunchy bar like something you can can like, but coffee crisp. I'm just
like, wait, no, that's like a wafer. Like that's a cookie. It's not a chocolate bar. It's weird.
You have that with tea, that one. Yes. It's a biscuit. I love like a fluffy, flaky pastry. If
I had like one indulgence that I would love, it is like a flaky pastry like that. So maybe that's why I like the
coffee crisp because it is that like that light, fluffy, crunchy thing. Okay. Well, Odette, what
about you? What's your, if you can indulge in one thing, what would it be? Like a candy bar?
It would be a sweet treat. What would it be? Oh gosh. So, well, we make this, I'm going to go on
forever here now. So we make this Portuguese
dessert at Christmas and it's called Altria. And basically what it is, it's like a vermicelli
noodle, but you, you soften it and you cook it in a flavored milk with cinnamon and orange and
sugar. And then you sit and then it, it, it like gets gooey and it sets hard and you sprinkle it with cinnamon. It's basically sugared and cinnamon noodles. And it like turns into a jelly, almost like a,
like a firm jello. I could eat that until like I threw up. I know it sounds terrible, but
if you're asking me for a sweet treat, that's what it would be.
Louise is like, stop it girls. You're making my mouth water. It is.
Okay.
We'll bring some of this next weekend to the convention center for all of us.
Right.
Yeah.
Kim's going to come join us, guys.
Odette's going to be there, too.
Kim's going to come.
And we're all going to be at the National Women's Show next weekend.
Oh, my gosh.
Next weekend.
So if you want to come hang out with us.
I think we have um
i think we have a code for that i'm not sure what it is gina something gina 24 something like that
we have a code gina find it we'll find it we'll put it in the notes of this yeah we'll find it
oh dad will post it for you helen's coming hi helen that'll be good to see you helen was actually
just at the menopause show i met her for the first time at the menopause show as well.
I know.
Same.
What about your sweet treats?
Yeah.
Sorry.
We got your sweet treats.
Oh, sweet treat?
Yeah.
Just straight up chocolate.
I like chocolate.
I love like salted chocolate, like sea salt chocolate or caramel and chocolate.
I do like those little caramel, actual proper caramel squirrels.
But chocolate and caramel, that's what I love.
What were we talking about? We were talking about, oh yeah, the National Menopause Show
that was on the weekend. Someone was asking me if I was tired from that. And I was like,
no, I'm like, I'm tired. But I am super jazzed. It was just such a, can't wait. I know you've
had an opportunity to meet our members before, but words can't even describe how great it is to sit and chat with our members. It was so special. It gave me life. Here's Rhonda. I wasn't going to go until I went to the menopause show and enjoyed it so much that I'm going to the women's show. Yeah, right? show yeah right like it's just it's a whole vibe being around like your vibe attracts your tribe
and being around um all of our members it was like it's a whole I just loved every second of it
I loved it and I loved asking people their names I mean we can see their some people you can
recognize right away because their profile pictures are a little bigger and you can
recognize them and some you you know I'm like what's your name and they're like oh so and so
like oh I know you from this or oh you said this or oh I remember you posted, you know, I'm like, what's your name? And they're like, oh, so-and-so like, oh, I know you from this, or, oh, you said this, or, oh, I remember you posted this, you know,
it's so amazing to make that connection and to see them or to meet the members. I mean, for this
group specifically, there were a lot of weight loss group members there. And they're like, I'm
not in your group yet, but I can't wait to get there. And, you know, it's such an amazing thing
that to see that they are, you know, feeling part of this, you know, all encompassing community.
So I think it's, and yeah, the women's show is just going to be next level to have exponentially more members.
That's, yeah.
Wired but tired, I think, or tired but wired, I think how we.
Yes, that's exactly it.
Yeah.
Like I, like I sat down, I'm like, oh, maybe I shouldn't have sat down.
So I popped right back up again and you're, and you're fine, you fine, you know, because you're just, it's such an amazing energy.
Yeah.
And not only that.
Well, you'll find out, Kim.
Yeah, I'm excited.
I can't wait to find out.
Yeah.
That meeting each other.
Like, we met them.
But they got to meet each other.
Yeah.
I was going to talk about that.
So many people came by themselves.
And I'm like, so, like, you're welcome.
It's like, I know it's hard to do things on your own and it's hard to meet friends as we get older. And so many people,
and I remember that from the Ork Living Conference where so many people came alone and I, people
would come up to me. I'm like, oh, you guys like best friends are like, we literally just met today.
And that's why we created a space. We called it our Libby Loser Lounge. We're going to do that
again. A space where you can come and hang out and sit and chat and meet other people. That's the whole point. I mean, there's
lots of other things to do at the national women's show, I guess. Um, like, um, I'm going to be on
the main stage on Saturday and right after the burlesque dancers and right before, I don't know,
like the Chippendales or something. I don't know.
Yeah. We saw you sandwiched.
Yeah.
If you're there on Saturday, get your seat early. Cause no doubt.
Yeah.
It's going to be busy with those.
And I think too, I think at the national women's show,
I think we're actually going to see a few of our um male members there I know that they didn't come just that he's
gonna be there Friday yeah I love that I'm so excited yeah I think menopause show was very um
curated on one topic I think the women's show can be a little bit of everything like there's
you know the topics are much more broad it's three full days of course it's the women's show but you know i think that it could be for anybody
like anybody can benefit from yeah he's gonna be there he's gonna be there too
tony's gonna come he's gonna hang out tony was rocking the menopause show
he's like a superstar i tell you he's like honestly right here he had a big lineup
too like everybody was talking about a lincoln beverly but i hear tony had a lineup as well
he you're right he did he was like uh he was a superstar
can we talk about yeah sizzling male dancers live okay that's what it is
i thought they're not the chippendales they are the sizzling male dancers
come for gina but you stay for the dancers
it's a two-for-one what what is happening um i forget what i was gonna say you had a link
oh dr linka because i've never met her dr beverly was I met Dr. Beverly. She is just the sweetest, kindest, lovely soul. Um, Dr. Alinka is a supermodel. She is. And she, I, she's so tall.
I, for some reason I expected her to be like, I guess, cause she's always kind of like,
and she's just so like petite and tiny and she's ginormous. She's like so tall.
And I was just like, what?
You're not Dr. Olinka.
Like I was just, I was like, wow, she's gorgeous.
Man, she's just, I don't even know what to say.
And she's in person just like she is on the.
Lovely.
Lives.
Yeah.
Speaks that fast.
Speaks that clear.
It's funny.
It's engaging.
Yeah. Yeah. Her and Dr. Beverly were, they were great. They had their line. And Dr. Ruthaks that fast. Speaks that clear. Is funny. Is engaging. Yeah. Yeah. Her and Dr.
Beverly were, they were great. They had their line. And Dr. Ruth was there too. I mean,
I don't want to talk about Dr. Ruth today. I probably won't get there, but just she was there and it was amazing just to see her, like to meet her. I've never met her before.
And I loved, I loved just being around her and hearing her.
She's great. Are you streaming her in tomorrow?
You're streaming her into the group?
She's joining us over in the weight loss program.
Oh, I can.
Yeah, I wouldn't depend on it, but I can for sure.
Yeah, because we're going to talk about maintenance.
We're going to talk about how she is.
So is she got spots open?
I know we talked about it last week where she said she's got so many people,
which is great because so many people are maintaining their weight,
so many people to talk to, which is amazing.
So she's studying now the maintenance part of it.
I know she's been doing that a while, but she wants to talk to real people.
Yeah, so spots are still open.
I think until next Tuesday, the 5th, she's still taking registrations.
And what's amazing, these conversations are one-on-ones.
You can say anything.
I mean, you could always say anything,
but I think when you're in this one-on-one with her and her team,
I think you can really feel comfortable to talk about it all. It's,
and of course all of the research and information is anonymous after. Um,
but yeah, I think this is such to be able to just get her one-on-one.
I think it's going to, it's incredible.
Yeah. So she's going to come tomorrow.
I'm going to ask her.
She can't come with us.
She can't come and join us next weekend.
She's heading off to, I think.
Greece.
Greece.
Yeah.
Right after.
Greece, literally right after our conversation, she's jumping on a plane and then she's going
from there.
She's going to New Zealand.
But I saw someone was talking about, Kylie, we need an event out West.
Yeah, we do. Yeah yeah we do yeah we do
let's do it
let's do it
let's do it
let's send Fanny and Bobby out this way first
well I think that there is
there's like
the National Women's Show is like
national on that side too isn't it yeah there's like the there there are the national women's show is like national over on that side
too isn't it like yeah there's a women's show out here there is a small scale menopause show i'm not
sure how it would compare i don't think we do like the big shows quite as large scale i mean we have
a convention center out here and there are some huge shows but um some of them are a little bit
smaller scale but there are a couple that are at the big convention center downtown that are a pretty big pretty big deal so yeah yeah yeah well
let's uh yeah someone's like well sure but is gina there yeah we will be i think we need a i think we
need one in vegas i i think yes yes bahamas too yeah bahamas. Bahamas is closer than Vegas actually. Yeah. Right. Yeah. For us in Toronto, it is not for Kim, but she can do both. So yeah, I could, I could make my way out there. I'll figure it out away guys. I know we still have our notes from last week because we just totally didn't even get to them. What's going on?
Forget the notes for a second.
What's going on in the maintenance group?
What's happening there?
What are people at?
What's the whole vibe going on in there?
Yeah, so the vibe is, I think we talked about this just one-on-one or maybe I was talking to Kim about it.
Our members are not asking as many questions as we have seen in the past, but there's a lot of reflection and there's a lot
of discussion. So I think members are feeling a bit more comfortable with where they're at
and maybe don't need as much direction and only asking a question here and there, but they're
happy to share and reflect and discuss and, and give their, you know, insights and opinions and
say, oh, this is how I feel about this, or this is how I'm navigating this,
versus like, oh, I'm not really sure. Newer members, of course, are asking those questions,
which we love because we want to make sure everybody feels comfortable. But I find it's a
real, it's more of a reflection and a more discussion. We're seeing that like a lot of
on the program information that's coming out that they are just, they're you know, liking and loving it, but not asking a lot of questions.
So I'm hoping that everyone is just feeling really confident and they know what to do.
They'll ask questions when they need to.
One thing I mentioned today in my check in was that we had a member say she hadn't been in the group for a long time and she had been doing really well. And then she recognized that she was slipping
into some old habits and sliding back into,
you know, maybe a place where she didn't want to be.
And she came back to the group just this week
and was already, you know, feeling supported,
feeling engaged, feeling like she was back on track.
And I think that's such an amazing testament
to the community that you can go and live your life.
But it's that mindfulness piece, recognizing when you do need to come back
and just, you know, take a deep breath in the group and then move on again.
So I really love that this week.
Yeah.
Well, it's interesting that we had a meeting talking about the apps
because we really want to get the app, the maintenance app up and going.
And I love the structure.
I think you really nailed the information.
We've got that.
But I think putting it into a book form, the information will help and the app will help.
But I think this also is a place for exactly that. For the moments in your life when you need it,
it's not necessarily all day, every day like the weight loss program. Sure, maybe when you're solidifying your weights, it's great to have the information and to follow along right like
that i think that's where the app will be really helpful but for this to be the place that you fall
back into when you're like oh shit i need like a little zip zip i need a little reminder i need a
little bit of refresher i need to i need to come back home to my support system and be like okay
i'm having to go right now and i need to just get in the mindset and think about me prioritize me get back to doing the things I know I need to do and can can do because I've done it
before right um and it's interesting yeah it's interesting I think there's there's that program
information so for you know the members that are just new to solidifying and they're just starting
and they want the more structured program the program is there but then also on there these
posts are coming up, just
these conversation starters, or these engagement starters, for people that have been around for a
long time that feel like they don't need to work the maintenance program, because they've already
put, you know, the time that they feel comfortable with solidifying, they can still be engaged with
other posts that are coming out, you know, and they can come back, or they can read through the
program guides if they want to just, you know, have a refresher or have a bit of a reflection or revisit. So yeah, that's
the that's the vibe right now. That's what we're seeing. We're seeing that people are members are
really still wanting to engage and have fun on some of these posts that are, you know, just,
just fun. They're really just for fun. When I'm asking people what their unpopular food opinion
is, it's just for fun, like doesn't have to be business all the time, you know, and members are still loving that. So
they're loving that engagement in that community and that banter back and forth. Like, Ooh,
I can't believe you love olives. I hate olives or whatever it might be.
Just, I, um, I used to hate olives. I used to, I can't stand them. Tony and I, um, can't stand
them, the smell of them, taste them, whatever.
But then I was, when I was in BC, I went, where'd I go?
I went to, what was the name of that Italian restaurant we went to?
Was that on a corner?
Frank's Place or something like that?
I can't remember.
Do you remember what that was?
Anyway, it was like this little Italian restaurant.
And they served us, you know, the little red and brown olives. And I was like,
let me just try one of these. And I did test with my wholehearted soul olives. And I had a couple.
And now I've somehow, something's happened. Maybe it's menopause. I've acquired the taste for
olives. I don't, and I'm not ready to do the big green ones or anything like that but yeah are you guys you
like olives no I was well we have an olive um debate sort of in our house none of the kids eat
them Mark loves the green the big the big green ones with the pimentos in them and those I think
are disgusting and I love a nice like kalamata nice like greek black olive but not the black like the ones that you get on your pizza
but like a kalamata the brown ones you get in your salad yeah i guess those are the brown ones and
then but like with stuff on it or like a green one if it's stuffed with feta or something like
that or stuffed with blue cheese and a little bit on the softer side so the marinated for me it's
all about the marinade or like a nice tapenade where you make the paste out of the olives
and put that on bread.
That's delicious.
But yeah, the green olives, I'm with you on that one.
I remember when I was little,
I had one of those experiences similar to your lemon gin one
with green olives with pimentos,
and I've never been able to eat them since then.
Odette, yeah, no?
Yeah, I eat them all.
I love olives. I love them. I think like I don't know I don't know again if it's my um oh Jodi's a thumbs up and Brennan is a thumbs down to all
they're polarizing they're like cilantro they're very polarizing you love them or hate them I do
love them I've got um in my family, everybody likes them to some extent,
where, you know, someone likes the black ones,
someone likes the green ones.
I like all of them.
I love them warm, too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I am too warm for sure.
Yeah.
There are people here.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So is Robert and Debra and Karen.
Yeah.
Add the salads and omelets.
Yeah, they're great.
Yeah.
They're great for you.
They're great for you. Yeah. I love them. Yeah. They're great for you. They're great for you.
Yeah.
I love them.
Yeah, a little spicy even, you know.
Yeah.
I'm hungry, you guys.
I don't know.
I have another question.
Beets.
Since we're talking food here, I'm not sure we're going to get to any of our topics again.
We're going to push them again to next week.
What about beans?
Keep your paper for next week yeah beats yeah I love beats yeah beats I you know it's so funny one of my kids is like they're dirt they're just dirt he gets so angry whenever he's like don't
buy those what do you like he's got this real hate on for beats I don't even know that he's ever had them. I love them. I like, I love beets.
I love beet juice. Um, I love any kind of beets when we're away, if we're on vacation and they
don't have beet juice, I will literally get them to take beets and make it into a juice. I love the
earthy red. I love just one of my favorite foods. We were how I feel. We were talking about this.
I found a new beet juice.
I'm going to show you the brand.
I was drinking it today.
It's called Wonder Beet.
Oh.
And this one's beet and cherry.
It's not beety enough.
Yeah.
I tasted too much cherry.
I'm like, no, I need real beets.
Like, I'm like you.
I like the earthy beet.
Same.
Yeah. I like carrot, ginger, and beets. Like I'm like you, I like the earthy beet. Same. Yeah. I like, um, carrot,
ginger and beets, but also people tend to do, um, beets with apple and lemon and ginger. But if it's not, sometimes it's too lemony or too appley and not enough beety. Like I would literally just
drink straight up beets. Like I give me the dirt taste. Like I just straight up love roasted beats. Yeah.
Yeah. Freaked me out because my pee was red. I do have a story where, yes, I think I've told
this before where I had beats for lunch and then I peed in the afternoon. I'm like, oh my God,
I'm getting a UTI. So I went straight to the walk-in clinic and was like, I'm getting a UTI.
And the guy's like, no, you're fine. I'm like, trust me. I know I'm getting a UTI. And he's like, okay, gave me antibiotics that I'm scrolling Instagram. This could be 20
years ago when Instagram just started. And I had taken a picture of my beet salad that day.
And I was like, in the Instagram, I'm like, oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah. Okay. But he was like,
yo, wow, you must be really in tune. Like maybe you're getting a UTI and you just don't have it yet. But I'm like, no, my pee is red.
Yeah. I'm the ginger too. I love having ginger in it, in my blender. Like I'll put beets in my
blender with like a little like plop of ginger. I think plop's a technical word. You put a plop
of ginger in the measurement. Yeah. Yeah. Borscht.cht borscht is that how you say it borscht
yeah that's it i love that i love that i think that's my favorite soup let's pick up the cream
or like a sour cream in it right you put a dollop of yes on top of it stir it in a little bit
yeah right yeah somebody else here said that they didn't like beets sorry they didn't love olives
until they got to be older sorry not older yeah oh Rhonda I hated olives until I reached the age of 65 now I love them
go figure and I was just I mean I don't need to segue into menopause but that is actually a
common thing in menopause is that your taste changes and your taste buds change one of those
things that nobody talks about, but you know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think we get an affinity for olives and wine.
Definitely.
I had an affinity for wine when I was 21.
Or martinis.
Is that where we all of a sudden go from drinking wine?
And then all of a sudden we choose martinis.
Maybe that's it.
Maybe.
Martinis with olives.
There you go.
Yeah.
That might, that may be what it is.
Sour cream and dill on borscht.
Yeah, Robert.
I'm hungry.
I'm hungry too.
I'm hungry too, you guys.
This was fun.
This was fun.
I'm trying to brainstorm before I get on here.
Because we have an opportunity to do whatever we want because we're the bosses here.
You know what I was thinking, Odette?
It would be great to host some sessions where it's just we bring our members on
and we ask them questions and then they get to weigh in from their perspective.
I know we used to do that before and invite people on.
And the way it was structured, we were able to see all the comments come up
and Facebook is gone and change things for us.
But maybe do a little call out of,
I know we've done this a while ago,
but what kind of fun things can we do here to keep people engaged and keep
the conversation going and not just have it be dry, you know,
conversations about the program and process.
Not like that isn't fun or anything, but yeah.
Yeah.
I think weight loss group.
When you say that, did you not enjoy the tweak this week, this morning,
Gina?
I was talking about the program.
I do, but we don't want people to be necessarily as structured in the weight loss.
I mean, obviously, in the maintenance program, the structure is really important,
especially when you're solidifying your weight.
But, yeah, I think there's a different, yeah.
I mean, the weight loss program is fun, Kim. Sure. Yeah, it is. It's good times. There's a little bit of pressure there because in the weight loss program, we have people have to be dead to be serious. We need you to lose your weight. Right. And then maintenance is like, okay, you got this, you know what to do. It's just a lot of that is working through your own shit rather than it is the structure. I was going to say, I think that's a lot of it. A lot of the, I think a lot of the conversations
we are having here in the maintenance group,
especially on weigh-in Wednesday,
are conversations we couldn't have,
like we couldn't spend 10 minutes
talking about Halloween candy
that we love in the weight loss group.
Because we trigger so many people
that are feeling the feels
and so stressed out about Halloween coming up
tomorrow that we would like send them over the edge.
And this,
like everybody in this group is in such a good place with just being calm
and like, yeah, you know what?
I can, I can face it.
And even if I like,
even if the people in this,
some of the people in this group are not at their goal or they're looking
for more or whatever,
they've been through the actual process enough times to know I can relax about
this.
I can be calm and I can think about it from a different perspective.
So yeah.
Or, or, or if you're being triggered, good, you're being triggered right now.
Good. You got some more work to do.
We have to keep unraveling the layers somehow.
So sometimes it's not through reading a post.
It's through casual conversations that, oh, yeah, what is my, what have I been doing with that Halloween candy?
Oh, yeah.
How do I feel about this?
Like, right.
Like, that's like, it's not a structured kind of where you, you're the process of unraveling.
This is like, it's more of a, it's more of a surprise.
Yeah.
And I think it's a big, I think this group, we say it
so many times, it's their learning opportunities, right? Like there's everything that's a learning
opportunity. You being triggered as a learning opportunity, what can you take from that?
You know, you not feeling calm or feeling calm, like, oh, what did I, how do I feel about that?
What did I learn about that? I feel like that's so much that you have the capacity for that now,
versus when you're trying to lose weight and you're trying to just do maximize and do everything but now we can take a minute and take you know really pull
what we can learn from these from these um situations out I think too we're at a place now
with our members you know two and a half years in I can't even believe it two and a half years in
where we have members now that are feeling more comfortable being open to talking I think in the
beginning you know our members were like,
not quite sure. I don't know what this is all about. I don't know what I would have to say
that would be beneficial to other members. I think we're at a place now where members are feeling
more comfortable to share and talk and open and know that, you know, this community is,
we are your friends, you know, we are here to be with you, to support you. So yeah, I think,
I think having our members on maybe on a different segment,
I think would be, would be really amazing because members love to hear from
members and once members start talking, they love to keep talking.
So I think that would be really, a really great space.
I think there's some to that. Well,
we can go be like Karen and go eat eat candy olives and beets for dinner now
so okay if you actually have beets no shortage of candy probably don't have any olives in the
house but that's okay i can make do all right ladies um they're always so fun yeah you guys
so you guys dressed up tomorrow what are you doing you dress up well yeah so as a team we're
having a quick little coffee tomorrow I
think we can I think around 12 o'clock or 12 15 or something we're doing a quick 15 minute meetup
and we did it last year too and we all showed up dressed up I'm not sure what I'm gonna be yet but
we'll see that's so fun yeah yeah I know somebody scheduled an interview for me right after though
so I got to figure out something just wear your costume is this through because we're hiring this is like our hiring thing
yeah this is what you get here we are
um i'm going to be actually talking to a new expert in our menopause um add-on uh dr jennifer zelovitsky she's an md
she works for a bank and uh really interested i'm excited to have an md on board um so i'm
going to talk to her in that group tomorrow at 12 so i'll be busy i won't be able to join you
but i'm hoping to get her on in our regular program and uh i think she's going to be great
so yeah that's yeah so we'll dress up for that and I'll dress up to give out candy,
but I don't know what yet.
We'll see.
I got a whole trunk downstairs and things.
So we'll see.
The tickle trunk.
Yes.
Yeah.
Can't wait to see your costume tomorrow, Gina.
Yes.
I, yes, I am dressing up.
The whole family is dressing up
and we're all going as the Addams family,
but the old school original.
The old school original Addams. So Tony is going to be Gomez with his, I like just, I can't wait.
It's amazing. Oh, I can't wait to see. It's going to be good.
Yeah. Um, okay. We got to go. All right. We got to get ready. We got to get ready for Halloween
tomorrow. That's right. Which I thought was today, but same, same. Are those pumpkins everyone? Uh,
thanks for joining us. Uh, thanks ladies. Always a
pleasure. See you next time. Bye. Okay. Bye.
