Starting point is 00:01:01 Visit Peloton at onepeloton.ca. Well, hello and welcome to Mindfulness Wednesday. This is where we like to weigh in on all things maintenance because we're coming to you live from the M&M Maintenance Group. So let me introduce the team. This is Odette. She is the manager of our Maintenance and Mindfulness Group. We have a maintenance group and a maintenance program. Yes, we're all about losing weight, but we're all about losing weight in a way that you're going to be able to maintain and sustain so much so that we actually have a maintenance program and a group
Starting point is 00:01:53 and community to help support you along the way. Joining me is also Kim, who is the manager of our weight loss program proper. So these two ladies, you have your pulse on the community. You know, what's what, you know, what our members are talking about. So this is a fun little segment we'd like to call weigh in Wednesday, where we weigh in on a bunch of different topics relevant to weight loss maintenance, especially. This is also where we do every now and then have members join us for the conversation. So if you are a member in our maintenance group and you want to come and hang out with us and be part of the panel, we want to hear from you. So you can just add your name in the comments or reach out to us. So
Starting point is 00:02:33 hello. Hi ladies. Hi. Hi. We have a big audience today. How was summer? This is our first live after the summer. So how was summer? Summer's good? Yeah? Feeling good? Yeah. I feel like it's over now.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Like it's hopeful on proper, cloudy and rainy and not warm here today. So I feel like, yeah, we've rolled into fall, but summer was good. Always wish it was longer. Kim's in BC. We're here in Ontario, it's the sun is shining it's a beautiful day here i know odette you're not too far away from me yeah no i'm in yeah southern ontario and it's actually a hot day here it feels like the summer is still here for us we had a few days of you know ready for that fall transition and it's pulling us back into summer a little bit around here. So yeah. I'm soaking it all up. Okay, let's get into it. What are we weighing in on?
Starting point is 00:03:31 What are our topics for today? What are we weighing in on? Okay, so first topic is, is September or can we make September the new January? I feel like January is this time where everyone's excited. It's a new year. It's new things. And then September is back to reality. Summer's over. Back to the grind. But I want to know if we can make September the new January because I love September. I love it more than January. I feel like there is this renewed energy. There's a bit of a change of season. We know there's a bigger change coming. And it just feels fresh and new. And yes, back to reality.
Starting point is 00:04:16 But not even back to reality. It's almost into a new reality. Into a new and exciting time. And we don't have snow. So I'm all good. Well, I'm here. Karen says, I'm here. Um, Karen says, I mean, from Karen, she's in the maintenance group right now. Uh, September feels like a Monday. September feels like a Monday. Teresa is saying labor day always feels like a new year for me.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Yeah. Forget the new year. I'm like, so over the whole new year's thing, maybe because it is in winter. I did take up skiing, so I'm going to try to keep myself busy this winter, but I think I'm ready for September and I love summer. Like I love summer, but there's something about September. There's a crispness in the air. It feels fresh. It feels new. It feels like, like this is, I'm going to proclaim, this is my new, new year. September is my new new year. That's how I feel. That's how I feel. I mean, maybe I'll be looking for a fresh start again in January. I don't know. There's more pressure in January too. Like there's more, like, I feel like there's this pressure in January that you have to think about accomplishing all of
Starting point is 00:05:20 these massive things because it's a brand new year. And September, you can kind of slide into it with this energy that's like, yeah, I'm going to do these things. I'm going to start these things. I'm going to try these things. I feel like there's not as much pressure this time of year to have to have the whole next 12 months mapped out. Yeah. Melanie's saying, September is more of a change in schedule than January. I'm okay to change. I love September. Rhonda says it's my birthday. My birthday's on the weekend. Happy birthday. My mom's birthday's on the weekend too. I'm ready to get back to routine, says Sally. Yeah, I hear you. I think too that like it's also like it's that fresh start and then rolling up to January. I feel like I'm ahead of the game if I'm already on it. Kim, you're nodding your head. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:09 I think, well, I mean, I've always thought I was wondering actually if, cause I'm also a September baby, Rhonda and I may be twins. I'll have to ask her in the group when her birthday is. But I always thought it was maybe, you have a fresh start like us Virgos get a fresh start in September because it's our month but I think there's a few like the change of schedule that makes so much sense because that's when you know as a parent that's when all the kids activities start and that's when the school starts and everything whereas it is just rolling into the
Starting point is 00:06:38 same routine after a shorter break in January I also think that big stop of the summer, but I also wonder sometimes if January is like, we spend a good time trying to get sort of back on track after like Christmas and indulgences and the holiday season and just being exhausted. And like you said, the weather being bad, but in the summertime, generally people are more healthy. Like we're eating more fresh foods. We're moving our bodies more because we're outside getting fresh air. And so you're coming in at a time with renewed energy versus an energy deficit, which a lot of us, I know I do go into January with. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's true. I think coming into January, it's, I don't want to hate on January. I like January too.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Fuck you January. Just skip it. We got a new day one now. Yeah. You know, it's true what you said about coming in with a deficit because I mean, as amazing as the holiday season can be, it can be exhausting, you know, and it's, it is a quicker turnaround. You're jamming everything in where in summer, I think we, you know, give ourselves the time to relax and chill out. And maybe coming into September, we're not coming in with quite that deficit. We're feeling a little bit better about it. Yeah. I used to be completely against the whole fresh start thing because I felt like it really
Starting point is 00:07:58 fed into the diet industry. And with diets, it's constant need for a fresh start, start again, start again. So it was really anti-fresh start. I'm like, it's all just big one continuation of life. Like there is no fresh start on anything. But then we had that conversation with Dr. Beverly David, um, our psychologist in the weight loss program. And she's like, fresh starts are great. There's nothing wrong with that, that, that mentality and that feeling of a nice fresh start. So I'm learning to embrace it, but I think to not buy into still that January hype, I'm going to, I'm going to proclaim that September is my new September is the new January. I'm going to go with that. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:08:35 All right. What's our, what's our second topic today? We are, um, so here in the maintenance group, we're talking in the new maintenance program. Um, I know in the weight loss group, it's also starting a new program and we are in prep week. So prep week, we've all been through a few of these, you know, through our weight loss journey here in the maintenance group. So what does prep week mean to you? And I know Gina, you've been out of a personal prep week and these journeys for a while, but you know, are you, do you have prep weeks for other things you have coming up in your life? So number one, what does prep week mean to you? And you know, what does it spark in you? What does it make you feel when you hear something like that?
Starting point is 00:09:18 Yeah. I mean, for prep week, the reason why I created prep week for the weight loss program is again, everyone wanted to start this concept of starting and the need to start perfectly. And I'm like, no, like that's not how it is. And so what would happen is that I'd, I'd have a program. This is when I was just running the groups on my own. And I'd be like, my program starts on whatever date. And then a week before, two weeks before all these people started emailing me, well, what do I need to eat? What do I need to do? And I'm like, yo, I haven't started work yet. We haven't started yet. Everyone needs to back off. Not that I didn't want to help people, but that's not sustainable. I thought, what is this about? The program doesn't start on this date, but everyone needs to know what they
Starting point is 00:10:02 need to do before they start. I'm like, I couldn't wrap my head around that. Now I've come to understand people just want to be prepared. I have so much respect for that. But so prep week was really to get people in the mindset to, to really, we are so busy to take the time to specifically focus on this. This is, I am signing up for this weight loss program. I need to get this together. I need to understand what I'm doing and start making a plan for myself so that I can be ready to go. Right. And that's, you know, the first week that I used to say, take prep week, get ready to start on day, like week one of the program. So I used to have prep week and then day one, week one, and now I just started all on day one. And so that's the mindset behind the weight loss program. I think for the maintenance, when people are rolling in, especially after summer,
Starting point is 00:10:50 you know, they're, they're, they're falling back into some old habits. They like, they need to kind of get back into their routine. I think you need to have a very intentional mindset when you're working on maintenance. You need to be like, I am working on maintenance and I need what makes it easy for me to be able to maintain and sustain my weight. It's making sure I have fresh food available. I've done some meal prep or I have a plan or even just reminding myself, okay, I have to, these are the things I want to do. Go for a walk, drink my water, all those things. Yesterday I drank like no water, none, like none, no water, about five decaf coffees. I don't know that that does anything for me. Five, they're decaf, but whatever,
Starting point is 00:11:38 because I was so busy doing other things. So for me, it's about taking that time to get into the right mindset. You're prepping to get in the right mindset. You're prepping to get into the groove. You're kind of pulling things together. That's what it means to me. Yeah. Yeah. I would agree with, with a lot of that or all of it. And I think it's also a way to have this mindset that you're setting yourself up for success. I feel sometimes I feel like when people feel like it's day one and they have to start on day one and they don't feel prepared, they feel they almost feel like they've already failed and they don't give themselves the chance to believe that they started in a successful way. You know, we, we can see people saying,
Starting point is 00:12:21 oh, I already messed up today. I might as well give up. And you don't want to take that success mindset away from them. So as you're preparing, you're setting yourself up to succeed. You're giving yourself that buffer to even instill that belief system that you can do this. You don't have to be perfect on this day. We're giving you a gradual lead into that. Yeah. And I think easing into it is a huge part of it because a lot of the changes, maybe it's a little bit different in maintenance, but in the weight loss group, it's big changes for some people. And, you know, in maintenance that you're, it is already an easing into it because you're kind of progressing from the weight loss group and it is gradual. But I think that, um, also prepping yourself and getting your head around
Starting point is 00:13:12 that maintenance mindset where you're now not what headspace do I need to be in and making that adjustment from being focused on getting that scale moving to getting into like, oh, this is me. This is who I am now. This is my weight. And, you know, giving yourself a week to kind of just like sit in that for a little bit before you start doing it. I think that can be a big part of it too, because a lot of people have been trying to lose weight for a lot of years. And this is a huge change for them sort of mentally to be not thinking about having to lose weight anymore. Yeah. I was just thinking, first of all, I love these comments. I love that Adrian said mindset reset, right? Mindset reset. Yeah. Karen, I've been thinking about my why during prep week. Love that. Right, Sally,
Starting point is 00:14:07 it's a reminder to get back on track. Yeah. And so I was thinking when you were talking, I think that I have these transitional periods in my life where not that I'm reinventing myself, but I'm taking stock. I'm like, okay, this is where I'm at. What am I looking to achieve? What are the things I need to do and change? You can't keep doing the same thing over and over in order to accomplish these goals. And I think I have long periods, like I think I might have a few prep months of my life where like I'm organizing and gearing up and then getting into that mindset of like, because you know, for example, the last couple of years were really difficult for me, right? There was a lot of stress going on with my life. My hormones were out of whack, turning 50, 51. My kid's dad passed away last year. Like, I feel like the story of my last
Starting point is 00:14:55 couple of years is very stressful, chaotic. Like, I don't want that to be my story. And I've known that, like, of course, we're still going to be sad, right? And all those things, I'm still going to have stress. But I am like, I want to shift into my like Zen era, right? Like where I can handle the things I need to handle. But I'm also going for walks and meditating and journaling and actively doing the things that I know I need to do in order to make that shift. But that wasn't like an overnight thing. I think I've had like a two month, I think my summer was my prep. It was prep summer. I think I had a prep summer, I think is what I did.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Sounds pretty good. Prep summer. And then it's that easy transition. And now you're ready to do those things. You've got your mindset around it. You've slowly dipped your toes into this new zen era and you're ready. You're ready to get going. You've kind of got your mind wrapped around it. Oh, prep summer. There we go. Prep summer. Yeah. And I love what Adrienne said too about the mindset reset. And Kim saying, people have been on this journey for some of them for so long. And to all of a sudden switch into, I'm no longer a dieter. I'm now a maintainer. Like that is a huge shift for a lot of people. And it doesn't, you know, on one week, it's not going to go away, but it's going to help you slowly transition into
Starting point is 00:16:21 being able to move on to that next stage. I think you're onto something here because weight loss can define you. Like some, like for some people, weight loss has become their side gig, their hobby, their, the need to lose weight is defined their personality, always making jokes and sharing memes about their weight and how hard it is. And now you've actually gone and reached your goal. Who are you now? If you're not that person who's constantly on a diet, constantly talking about dieting, like, who are you now, that can be a really big shift to get your to get your head around. Well, yeah, it can be a bit of an identity crisis of sorts. Because if you have identified as that person for, you know, 40 years, we hear a lot of people saying they've been trying to lose weight for 40 or 50 years. And to go from that to like, what's my thing now? Like, yes, I'm sure
Starting point is 00:17:10 that's not the thing you wanted to be your thing for 50 years. But if that's what you were sort of letting you letting hold you back from doing things and from, you know, kind of being yourself or being your authentic self, then you got to kind of like ease off that jacket a little slowly and not like, it's can't be like a bandaid where you just rip it off and all of a sudden you're a new person. Yeah. Mindset reset. I think I'm sensing a new chapter in the maintenance book. There we go. Get ready, Odette. I'll write it down. I'll write it down. Mindset reset. Okay. What's that? What's that next? What's our what's our next topic? So the next topic is, so we're all at different stages, as everybody knows, who know the three of us, you know, maintaining for so long, maintaining for not so long. Kim, still on your journey. I hope you're okay with me saying that.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Of course. But, you know, we talk about tracking here and we have our living method app and our maintenance members now have it in a general tracker mode. And, you know, we talk about how tracking can be so beneficial in the weight loss, on your weight loss journey. And now in this part of your journey and solidifying maintaining, the question is, you know, to track or not to track? Do we still, you know, do we still think tracking is a good idea? What are we tracking? You know, what do you guys think? Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:39 I'll go first. Because I saw Dr. Dina Kara-Shafer, she did a post. There is no science behind writing things down. It helps you remember them. It helps like they resonate more. I mean, that's, I'm a, like, I got no, like this is, you know, I got this, everything, every paper on my desk looks like this. Like even when I'm in a meeting, right, I'm writing notes and that's how I've always learned. And there is something to the science behind not just tracking in a meeting, right, I'm writing notes. And that's how I've always learned. And there is something to the science behind not just tracking in an app, which obviously can be helpful, because
Starting point is 00:20:11 that's the new way you're collecting the data, you can visually see the data that helps you track in a whole other brilliant way. But I think there's also something to the putting the pen, the paper and tracking or making notes, setting intentions and the day reflections. As you know, I've maintained my weight for give or take a few here or there for like 30 years, right? So that's, that's where I am. I am still tracking, I still use our Libby Method app, I'm still journaling, because like I said, the other day, I forgot to drink my water. You know, I forget that I'm supposed to prioritize myself in my life. Like if I don't schedule in my walks and my workouts, they're not getting done. Like already I missed my window today. Now I have this probably a meeting after that. I got to go
Starting point is 00:20:55 to the chiropractor and then I got to pick up my kid and then I got to go live tonight at seven. When am I going to get that in where I feel like if it's scheduled in or I'm holding myself accountable to like my journal, it's kind of like my journey. That's why I that's why I track. And I've never been much of a journaler. But tracking, yes, I find it. It helps keep me on track in all areas of my life. I find it's beneficial. That's just me.
Starting point is 00:21:24 I wouldn't call it obsessive. I would just call it trying to be trying to organize my thoughts and track the things I'm doing to make sure I'm doing them. That's my, that's my perspective on it. Yeah. I think for me tracking, I do still track a lot of things too, because I didn't for a while. And then how long, how long you been in maintenance for? Since 2021. So, you know, give or take, you know, some up and down, but yeah, since 2021. And I didn't track for a long time.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Cause I didn't think I needed it. And then, and then I'm like, oh, I think I'm drinking enough water. I think, did I get my, did I have that today? Did I not have that today? So when you're tracking, it actually becomes your reality. Like you can't, there's no guessing. And then when it becomes your reality and there's no guessing, you can really start to make those connections. So like, oh yeah, I did. Why do I feel so great today? Oh, because look what I did, you know, or why do I feel like shit today? Oh, because I didn't do those things. So I think it really helps bring into focus and make,
Starting point is 00:22:31 make it your reality of how, what you do really correlates to how you feel. So I think that was a big one for me. You can't just get menopause too when you can't remember anything. Anyway, you can't guess how much water you had in a day. So, you know, it's, it helps. It does help. That's why I do it. Cause it makes it just makes it more real for me and I can make those connections. Yeah. And Kim, you're working on your journey. So you're going for more. You're, you're, you're looking to lose. Yes. Yeah. And I think for me, it's an accountability thing to track because I am very much out of sight, out of mind. And if I missed a meal or a snack, or I didn't get my water in, or I didn't work out, if I'm not keeping track
Starting point is 00:23:21 of that anywhere and I don't see it, there's no consequences in the moment to me. But looking at it at the end of the day, like, wow, I didn't just drop one ball today. I dropped all the balls. I need to get my shit together. Like that's the kind of thing that I see, like a look on the day and see like in the app, it's the exclamation marks when I'm tracking, right? Like, hey, look at that. You didn't get any healthy fats with your dinner or whatever. Um, you know, if I'm keeping a pen and paper, you look and you see all the empty spots in your journal that you're, you know, you're not filling in, or you
Starting point is 00:23:54 see like your water bowl is here and you're down here. I think looking at it and having it sort of right in my face gives me some accountability for it. So I think it's, for me, it's important. That being said, I am, excuse me, terrible at being consistent with it. And I don't like doing it. But it's to what Odette said, I realized that it's necessary, and I need to do it. And it's kind of part of me being accountable to myself, nobody else is going to read my app, nobody else is going to read my pen and paper, but I'm being accountable by myself. And there's a way I can check on that. How accountable have I been? How focused have I been?
Starting point is 00:24:32 How much time, how many days have I prioritized myself enough to tick all of the boxes? And that's sort of what I get out of the tracking. You got my mind going because we're just about to publish. We're just working on a fine, some fine tuning the journal. So I've been working on a paper journal for the weight loss program. It's still not out yet. Hopefully we'll get it out for week one. Progress over perfection. But I'm thinking like a maintenance journal would be good. I know we are also going to work, we're working on a maintenance book that's going to have all the information we're rolling out this fall in maintenance. So you should hopefully you're reading it. If you're in the maintenance group, it's not just the same old weight loss information. It's actually been all
Starting point is 00:25:12 tweaked. It's a whole new conversation. You might not have noticed because it's similar, but different. So we're definitely going to work on a book. We should probably get a journal out. And then we're looking to get that app out. If we could get that app out for January, if not January, the spring, that would be amazing. I do want to talk to you ladies quickly. I know we have a few minutes about menopause journal. I never really had a conversation with you ladies about it. I don't worry, Kim, I think you're turning. Can I tell people how old you're turning? You're turning. I'm going to tell them anyway. You're turning 50 on Sunday. Yes, I am. I'm 51. Odette? I don't know. I'm 47. 47. I am just, you know, now that
Starting point is 00:25:50 I'm, I'm sorry, I'm like seven months without my period. So I feel like I'm on the other side, starting to feel a million times better, but I'm starting to reflect back and thinking my frozen, frozen shoulder, my vertigo, the fact that half the time I didn't know where the fuck I was, the fact that I had zero patience for anything. Probably playing a role. I was blowing it all off on pandemic and then stress and then all these other things happening in my life. And I'm starting to reflect back and think, hmm. Where are you ladies at with that?
Starting point is 00:26:19 So I am now, same as you, reflecting back. So I've maybe been here for maybe about a year or so just when I'm thinking back, noticing things. I mean, I've been noticing, you know, feeling I think everybody waits for those hot flashes to start. And that doesn't need to be the sign, although they are. Those are also starting, but they were not the beginnings. The beginnings where I started noticing my fuse getting a bit shorter for no reason. I started noticing just emotions that I didn't really feel before. I'm quite like chill and relaxed. And I would find myself being really amped up a lot. And I'm not necessarily an amped up person. Like, where's this coming from?
Starting point is 00:27:05 Noticing headaches, like almost like cyclical headaches. I'm like, oh, wow, I have another headache. Oh, I have another headache. Just like not anything that I mean, I, of course, saw my doctor and they just said, oh, it's just related to your hormones are really dropping and spiking and dropping. And now I'm thinking all of these changes, you know, I was waiting for the hot flashes. I was waiting for the sleepless nights, but like it's all of these other things that you notice that is, is just, just starting. So yeah, I've been here about a year and I think that's, I've got three sisters and I think, and, and my mom all started right around this age too.
Starting point is 00:27:45 But I was waiting for the typical symptoms and they didn't, they didn't start. They've been starting a little different. So that's where I'm at. I hear you. Same. Kim? Yeah, I, I'm at about a year and a half with no cycle now. So I think that kind of, I can even go to my doctor and they'll tell me I am menopause,
Starting point is 00:28:03 post-menopausal now. I don't know if that means they're going to take me any more seriously with anything, but classify me there. I feel like a lot of it started sort of similar to Odette a few years ago of like having very few periods and things like that. So I literally just started getting hot flashes. I so and it's not all the time. I they started out and I noticed that it was sort of if I had alcohol, I would get hot flashes. So you think it's a normal thing, right? Now I'm getting them a little bit more often. But I think probably detox might be adding to that because I think I'm noticing heightened symptoms when I'm in detox and that's I think just because everything is heightened maybe but yeah it's I
Starting point is 00:28:52 would definitely say the same thing there was uh brain fog and forgetfulness and being emotional were some of the things I I don't think I would say like short or snappy because it's not, not really. I'm just like that in general anyway. So I wasn't though. I wasn't. Well, so here's Karen. Karen's got vertigo, dizziness right now. Chiropractor suggested it might be perimenopause. And I had all that vertigo, frozen shoulder, anger, tiredness, weight gain, sarcastic Paula. I became outspoken. I used to say, Oh, I used to be so Zen. I don't know what happened to me. All of a sudden, like I was just like edgy and I don't know how to explain it. And I'm thinking, Oh, that's probably what it was. The reason why I bring it up. Cause I would do what I mentioned to our members of maintenance is that I'm working on, um, what would I call it? Uh, a menopause companion. So I want to run a program Dr. Alinka, she's got like,
Starting point is 00:29:50 sort of 12 modules things she wants to go through symptoms, testing all of that, and then kind of take it out in its own kind of separate community. So I'm just interested in hearing everyone's thoughts, because I'm just kind of starting to put it together. I know Dr. Alinka is going to join us tomorrow. Are you streaming that? Dr. Alinka is going to join us tomorrow in the weight loss program along with Dr. Dina Kara-Shafer and Dr. Beverly and Dr. Paul. But I'm going to talk to Dr. Alinka about that. So that's a heads up on that.
Starting point is 00:30:22 We are doing a program that's going to help give us some more insight into menopause and hormones, perimenopause, menopause, postmenopausal. I'm going to be, I'm going to be asking for y'all's feedback since you have been through the weight loss program and you've been able to lose your weight, even dealing with perimenopause and menopause. So I'll be keeping an eye out. I think such a valuable conversation too, for our members in maintenance, because they are in this heightened place of being so in tune, right? They notice when they are feeling great and they notice when they're not feeling great. And, you know, something like perimenopause or in the full throes of it, or even, you know, post-menopausal, you want to know what you can
Starting point is 00:31:03 do to support yourself, to keep feeling good. because you could be doing everything and perimenopause can, or menopause can just have you feeling off, you know? So what can you do to help support yourself? You know, just that extra little bit. So it's an important conversation to have. Yeah. Yeah. I think it's really important too, for people that don't think they're there yet, because I think that's the one thing I took away from all of us. And what we said, our experience was, was it wasn't until after the fact that we'd been experiencing this for so long that we realized like, oh shit, that's what it was. And so, you know, you have these people like, oh, I'm in perimenopause, just thinking about people in the weight, like, is this for me? Like, I don't need that. I'm not in menopause yet. But to know to be armed with that kind of knowledge at like, say, 3040 45, whatever, prior to going into perimenopause, to know, like, this is what this
Starting point is 00:31:58 is, this could be it, how much better of an advocate would you have been able to be for yourself if you knew then what you know now and I think that's what might make this menopause companion really important for everybody and to be honest even for men who are potentially married to women who may be going or not recognized like if Tony had this menopause course under his belt, he could be like, Hey babe, you know what? Like, I think this is where this is coming from. I was in this,
Starting point is 00:32:29 I was, I had this companion. I was in this course. I think this may be menopause. I remember my mom, I would tell you, say to her, like, I'm sweating at night.
Starting point is 00:32:38 It wasn't hot flesh. Like, Oh, I'm so hot. But I would like soak the sheets. And my mom's like, Oh, you're in menopause. I'm like, mom, like get lost. No, I'm not. I but I would like soak the sheets. And my mom's like, Oh, you're in menopause,
Starting point is 00:32:45 you're in I'm like, Mom, like, get lost. No, I'm not. I never really took her seriously. I just thought it was from drinking alcohol, and then my body detoxing. So even me being so knowledgeable, I'd always known the program works with hormones, obviously super knowledgeable on that, because I've seen people do the program with hormonal issues had lots of conversations. But it's not until you really go through it or start experiencing, you realize to the extent it can fuck you up. It's like, what is this? This is insane. I love Karen.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I think the menopause program would be a great idea. Women need more information. There's a lack of info and conversation. And so that's where I want to come in. There are some people having some very detailed conversations. I think like anything else, sometimes they're overcomplicating it. I think we need to feel seen. We need to feel heard. We need to have conversations about it. And yes, we need to get some questions asked and answered. I mean, a lot of that is covered with your doctor
Starting point is 00:33:37 and it's the ability to have conversations with your doctor, respectful conversations with your doctor and feel heard by your doctor. But I think there's so much we can do to empower people first so that they can, when they do go to their doctors, they can have those kinds of conversations. So anyway, I'm going to be reaching out and looking for some input from our, our maintenance community. So thanks. Thanks for that. Okay. We're over time, like always, but I'm not apologizing for it thanks everyone for joining us and everyone who's joined us live and participating in the conversation Odette what do you got going on in the maintenance group this week what are you doing
Starting point is 00:34:19 so we're just wrapping up prep week so week, like we talked about just getting all the information, getting familiar, feeling comfortable. What I really want to bring to light and exactly what you said, Gina, earlier about read the information. I know the topics look super familiar, especially if you've been through the weight loss program a few times, but the intention and the meaning is different for us now. So take a minute, read it. The conversation goes a little bit deeper in those posts now. Ask the questions. If you're feeling any ways or it sparks anything in you,
Starting point is 00:34:52 put it in the comments. We want to hear it. Our program specialists are here to hear it. So we've got a few posts coming up tomorrow. We're talking gum and alcohol and chocolate, all those things. Where do they fit in? What does it all mean?
Starting point is 00:35:04 But just beyond that, just read the info, dive into it and get yourself, you know, get in that maintenance mindset. You are not a dieter anymore. You are now a maintainer and, you know, we're here for it. So you need to put that on a, on a sheet, a sheet, a sheet or sheet, a shirt sheet. It's been, man man it's only wednesday how is it only wednesday um put it on a shirt i'm a maintainer i'm a maintainer great i love it um i adore your passion for the maintenance program really excited about all the changes coming this fall i know you work so hard on that so thank you the members The members are going to love it. You guys are going to love it. Um, Kim, I know it's like tackling everything all fresh and brand new again, all of our members back to continue the weight loss journey. That's always fun and
Starting point is 00:35:53 exciting. I know the stress of like, I don't know that. I mean, Odette, you're kind of rolling out some new info. I don't know how stressed you are, but I know Kim, the pressure of like making sure everyone's getting it and they're like doing what they need to do and they're feeling supported. There's a lot of pressure that comes with it. So I'm sending my love to both y'all. Thanks so much. All right, ladies. And Kim, happy birthday this weekend.
