don't even know you come in and say, you know, I've been there. I know how you're feeling. Hang in there. Losing weight, but gaining so much more.
Welcome to Spill the Tea, where we like to have very real conversations with very real
people on their very real weight loss journeys.
I love my guest today.
I'm actually a fan.
I stalk her over on Instagram.
Talk about a story of transformation. Today, Andrea Overhoff
is joining me. She is 36, about to turn 37. Happy birthday. She's a teacher. So for all you teachers
out there that are like, I don't know how I'm going to do the program. How do I fit it in?
This conversation is for you. She's also a mom of two young kids, three and five years old. So if you're
a busy mom, this conversation is for you. She has also been trying to lose weight since she's 20
years old. So if you have been trying to lose weight forever, this is also for you. If you feel
like you are already eating pretty healthy before you started the living method, this program is for
you. If you have tried every diet out there,
this conversation is for you. All right, let's, let's bring her on introducing Andrea. I mean, we just showed you're like, I call that I don't even call them before and afters because
they're truly transformation photos. Hello. Hi, welcome. Hi, Gina. Thank you so much for having
me. I feel honored. I already called you a celebrity and then she called me a celebrity.
Because I legit stop. I follow a lot of our members and I legit stalk you.
You're so inspiring every day.
You're doing your workout.
You're doing your thing.
I think you are like the epitome of healthy weight loss when you're looking at your photos.
When I say like losing 20 pounds on the Libby Method is like 40 pounds on any other diet.
Like, I mean, your, your photos
are just like, what, how is that even the same person? Do you feel that? I, it depends on the
day. There's still day. And I, I feel like your voice is always in my head, but yes, I definitely
feel like there's, you're always in my head, Gina. Um, there's days that I still feel like,
I don't know if it's the old me. And then, and that's why I'm,
I'm stressing the importance of taking photos and comparing because you don't feel it while you're
in it. But then if you compare the side by sides, it, it amazes me. And I never, when I took those
before photos thought I would ever, ever share those publicly. So I think even that for me is a
huge win that I feel comfortable enough to be like, wow, look how far I've come. Because I never thought those would see the light of day.
Yeah. I mean, one of my favorite things that you say is like your biggest non-scale victory is looking in the mirror and not hating the body that you see. I mean, I love that. Come on.
I know. I never thought I would get there. Really? And why is that though?
Why is that though? What like, let's okay, where should we start with your? Where should we start?
Like why I felt that I don't know, I think just because when I started, I just
set a big number and just told myself in my head, you won't get there, but you
might as well aim high. And now I'm close to getting there and I'm amazing myself. I don't
even know. Okay. So two programs in, so you did the winter program. You're doing the spring summer
program. Currently you are down 35.8 pounds, five pounds away from your goal.
Yeah. Well, 4.2, I guess. If we're counting
all the point whatevers. I will give you that. Okay. So let's talk about, um, let's talk about
your success in the program and then we'll backtrack because you, uh, where were you at
before you started the program? Uh, like in terms of what I was doing to work on myself? Yeah, like what were
you doing? How were you feeling? Like why did you decide to sign up? Yeah, so I guess my breaking
moment was when I saw myself in my class picture and I felt like, wow, I looked really big.
And you kind of just start wearing clothes that hide your body and avoid looking at pictures or really wanting to be in the picture.
I think that was the biggest. For sure, my class photo was my wake up call.
It didn't I didn't start the journey right away. Then I had a friend, Liz Wong.
Hi, Liz. Yeah, she started in September. Yeah, she was one of our spotlights.
She was one of your spotlights in the winter program. She started in September and lost, I forget how much weight, but it was very impressive.
And I was like, Oh, I can do this. And decided to start on the January 8th program. I guess it was
kind of like a New Year's resolution, January hit. And I was like, Okay, you need to do something.
And said, I'll try this program out. I've heard my best friend was the original one who recommended it. Her naturopath actually recommended, recommended it to her.
And then I convinced Liz to try it because I had heard good things.
And then, yeah.
So I just saw one of the comments where he says like, oh, the dreaded class photo.
What, what, uh, can I ask what grade you teach?
I teach grade one.
So little kids.
So I already look like a tall giant beside these little bodies, but.
Well, and I would imagine you get those photos done every year or like twice.
Yeah.
For our school board, just in September, October.
Just in September.
Yeah.
Okay.
So let's get right into that.
So you are a mom of two very young children and you are a teacher. So how did you
manage the program? What was the hardest part about it for you? Like, let's get real about that
because we hear from teachers all the time. I'm a teacher, especially the splitting up the meals
and snacks that we are doing currently. That's really difficult. So give us your tips. How did
you manage being a teacher and drinking the water fitting a food plan in
okay so I think uh I think with drinking the water was the hardest part at first I was always good at
drinking water but like one bottle of water not seven that I now drink um so it was just getting
used to that and having to go pee every hour and I have a co-worker that would pop by and say okay
do you need to go or there's only really my other times in the day, like middle block is two hours, but halfway
through I have my prep.
So it works out in the last hour of the day.
It's just one hour.
So it's really just the first morning when I'm two hours with my class.
I just need to pop out one time.
And then in terms of eating, the only real thing I had to push back was the time I eat
breakfast because I didn't want to go more than three and I was eating breakfast before around 6 30 so now I ate my breakfast
basically on the way to work um so that I'm not more than three three and a half hours between
eating because then I eat my fruit snack at first recess and then I eat my lunch uh sometimes during
my prep which happens to fall kind of right before lunch. I then eat my vegetable snack at the end of the day at the three o'clock.
My school ends at three o'clock. So the three o'clock bell.
And then I eat my nut stack at home. So I never have to bring nuts to school.
And like, yeah, I find the nut snack the hardest to add in because it's so crazy.
After school, I get home. I have to get my oldest one off the bus my younger one from
daycare by the time we get home it's like ah it's almost supper time so I'm like shoving a couple
nuts in but some nights yeah it's shoving four nuts in my mouth and saying okay I have my nut snack
get it done yeah get it done and then how did you manage how do you manage the splitting up
the meals and snacks how do you do do that? That one is hard.
But luckily, if I don't have, that's the problem with also being a teacher with the recess times and lunches.
Sometimes you have duty.
So if I don't have duty, it's okay.
I'll eat half of my fruit snack or lunch for like right when the bell rings at the beginning. And then just wait 20, sometimes 25 minutes if I can.
And then have a couple more bites 25 minutes if I can, and then have a couple more
bites or more if I'm still hungry. And then for the vegetable, yeah, the vegetable snack is after
school. So I can always make that work and then that snack and dinner. So it's more just fruit
snack and lunch, which as long as I eat it right when the bell rings, that's half of it right when
the bell rings, then I can, I have time to eat the second half within that time. Or if I have to walk around and do duty while eating, oh, well,
I do that. You get it done. Yeah, I get it done. The kids, they're eating, I'm eating,
they don't ask any questions. I love it. Okay, good. Because we get, I get to ask this a lot.
Well, I'm a teacher. How am I supposed to do that? And it's one thing for me to say, well,
where there's a will, there's a way. But I think actually, you know, to hear from somebody who's been successful, they're just
getting it done. I think that like speaks volumes. It's one thing to hear from me. I think hearing
from real people, I want to talk about the calories because you're a big calorie counter.
Let's talk about your history with dieting. So you've done a lot of diets. Yes. So I think it
was called the South Beach diet is the first real diet I can recall and I was
early 20s I remember it was a blue book I can't really remember what it was to be honest I can't
remember if it was counting calories or what but I'd say that was my first diet um and then I
my husband is pretty also into tracking his food so I think we, I think it was an app we had, MyNet Diary maybe, and you input your food
and it tracks calories and your macros, so your fats, proteins, and carbs. And I kind of got into
that mentality. And then right before I had my first daughter, I decided to hire an online health
coach who would basically give me meals to eat eat or he would tell me what my macros
were, how many calories I should have in a day. He didn't tell me, I don't think it wasn't the
timing of the day when to have it, but within a day, this is what you can have. And he gave me
workouts and stuff. But then I got pregnant. So I think I only did about two months with him
and I saw success, but it's not, it's not maintainable to live that way. And I think
that's, that kind of got in my head for a while that if you want to lose weight, this is what
you have to do. And I'm like, I don't want to do that. So I'm just going to keep living and not
doing that. And so I'm so happy I found your program where you don't have to do that. You
don't have to count. You don't have to weigh, you get to eat and be happy and live your life.
Were you tempted though? Because I find a lot of people will do the
program. They come from that calorie counting or macro counting or whatever it might be. They have
a hard time letting that go and really trusting. And I, you know, a lot of times like I work out,
how do I know I'm getting enough protein in? Like, so I go ahead. I can, okay. Sorry to cut you off.
You go. Uh, so I didn't realize it was still ingrained in my head until one of my friends
was also doing the program. I think we were talking about like chia seeds and hemp parts.
And I was like, Oh, yeah, I put and I think I said, I put three tablespoons of chia seeds or
whatever the measurement. And she's like, Why do you know the measurement of how much you're putting
in? And I was like, Well, I don't know, because I just that was an easy way to serve it out of
the bag. And I noticed on the bag, it said, if you had three tablespoons, it's this much protein.
So it was still ingrained in my head. And I didn't even realize I was doing it until she pointed out,
she's like, you don't have to track anything. You just have to put it in. You don't have to know.
And I was like, okay, I can do this. So I catch my, and same with nuts. Like to me in my head,
nuts is like calories. How can I have nuts? So I think that was a big
learning curve, I guess, is moving away of the thought of, because just because I know certain
foods and calories, so moving away from that and kind of trying to delete it from my head.
Yeah. It's not an easy thing to do or easy thing to trust. Easy thing to trust when I think you
feel more control when you can count and you can weigh and you can measure and you know exactly what you're supposed to do I think there's like
you feel like more control yeah rather than being in tune yeah yeah okay I think that's talk about
your let's talk about your excerpt like let's talk about your body for a second but like you're
again I can't get over you guys can we pull up or like do we have her
transformation photo can you guys pull that up is that possible pull that up see the guys
when I saw that I remember the jeans like you you like you did the photo of the jeans I know
I can't even wear those jeans anymore they're too big I tried last week and I was like why did I
even try like they keep falling down um I I should say and also to you, Marguerite, if we can pull up, do you mind me sharing
your Instagram account?
No, go for it.
Do you mind you sharing?
If you guys want to pull up her Instagram account, then you can go see the photos that
we're talking.
I think we actually shared a healthier, stronger Andrea is her Instagram handle.
And I think that's where I kind of really noticed that when you were showing the jeans,
I was like, oh my God, this is amazing.
So this is beyond someone even, I wish people could
understand the benefit because I was a personal trainer for so many years. And one of the reasons
I got into specifically talking weight loss in the way that I do is that I'd see the people
every day, they would work out hard and their bodies would never change. And I would just pound
the crap out of them. They'd walk away feeling like they're going to barf. They'd be sore for days, couldn't sit down. And because their eating
wasn't on point, their bodies never changed. And they're like, I just want to lose weight. I just
want to lose weight. And I'm like, it's so much what you eat. Have you found that? Because I know
you've been consistently exercising. You've always been really active. Did you notice a significant difference when you were
following the program? Oh, yeah, that's, yeah, that's where my body changed completely. It was
like, yes, the eating, but the working out has definitely helped. And I've always worked out.
It's not like adding my body workouts in the morning are new. I've always done it because
I always needed working out for my mental health and it's something I like doing. So that never changed. It was, it's just the new Gina, the Libby method that,
that changed for me. Yeah. I mean, I knew the answer is obvious, but I think again,
because I think so many people like that, they're, you know, they, they're exercising to burn
calories, right? Like to offset what they're eating. And when you start to add in
like focused exercise, when you're eating is on plan, it's like you can see and feel your body
transforming in front of your eyes. You do a lot of what's what's your workout routine? Because I
know people are gonna ask what's your workout routine? Well, I really love lift more, which
is weightlifting, but with some cardio, And now I've started a new program.
I think it came to, so body is basically a Netflix of workouts. So you can go on and if you love
yoga, if you love cycling, they have everything. It used to be called beach body. Now they just
call it body. Maybe it sounds more modern. I don't know. So you can choose kind of what you're
interested in. You can like filter things to see like, okay, I only have 30 minutes in the morning. These are, and it'll show you all the worklists that are 30 minutes. So the newest program I'm trying is called Dig Deeper with Shanti, who is known to be one of these dance videos, but now he's super jacked. And it's definitely mostly weightlifting, like heavy weightlifting. So, and that's, I enjoy, I don't love doing cardio. I know you get cardio through weightlifting, but I love lifting weights. So
it's just what I'm interested in. And you're doing this at home.
Yeah. In my basement. You go to a gym. Yeah. In your basement. And you do it every day?
Every other day? I do it Monday to Friday. I give myself weekends off.
Okay. So two young kids, you're a teacher. It's not easy
these days. Um, how are you getting that done? What's your mode? Like, how do you, how do you
get up? Like you get up early. Like, what do you, what's your routine? I want to know. Yep. So my,
well, it helps because my husband also gets up early to work out, but he goes to a gym.
I do it in the basement because our girls are upstairs sleeping so one of us has to stay home yeah um and our alarm goes off around 5 15 I try and be downstairs by like 5 40
and my goal is always to get at least 30 minutes in and I think honestly I think my biggest
motivation to go down in there and get it done is my apple watch I have a bunch of friends that I
we share our fitness rings with and, uh, I can
see like who started working out. So like, I don't think I'm really competitive, but in my head,
I'm like, okay, well she can't have more steps than me. And she can't like, I need to get down
there. So I think it's actually my Apple watch that encourages me to get down for my workout.
Listen, I've learned this past week, you know, we've been doing a team challenge here. A little
challenge is good for the soul. I mean, I was like, all of a sudden I had all this time
in the world to go exercise because it was a bit of a competition because we were like,
the team is like our company is broken up into teams and whoever got the most minutes,
my team did not win by the way. I think the whole thing was rigged. Anyway,
that's a whole other story. I'm not going to get into that. I'm not going to get into that. Not going to get into that. Okay, so I just had a, do you ever get off track happened yesterday. And it was all because I make egg bites for my breakfast,
and I put them in the microwave in the morning, and then I take them and that's when I eat them
in the car. Yesterday, I got to school and realized I forgot my egg bites in the microwave.
Okay, oh, well, Gina says we can like if you need to skip one meal, it can be breakfast. I've never
done this before. But oh, well. And by the end of the day, was ravenous I got home from school and it was my
youngest daughter's birthday on Saturday so she had a chocolate cake and I didn't take a big piece
but like I take I took that chocolate cake and then I had a couple pretzels and then I like I
was like whoa and then afterwards I felt so sick I couldn't eat a full dinner I was telling my
friends about it and they're like I think this was meant to happen this was all learning like
this and they're a lot of them are doing Gina too. So they're like,
this, this is going to make it on spill the tea, isn't it? And I was like, only if it comes up.
So yeah, I'm on track. Okay, good. I love that. And what's your, how do you have that mentality
to keep showing up? Like what gets you through the day? Cause I am, you know, someone was just
on the comments and just said, you know, I'm having a hard time and off track.
Don't know how to get back on track.
Like what, what keeps you going?
What's your why?
What's your why?
Well, my why is that I wanted to love my, my, like look at myself in the mirror and not hate what I saw.
And now my why is just being able to love myself.
It doesn't have to be about appearance, but just feeling proud of who I am and how far I've come. And what keeps me motivated is my success.
I think because I mean, my scale definitely goes up before it comes down and all the things you talk about happen.
But I think because over time, like in the grand scheme, you do see the downward trend.
And I think that's what keeps me going is that everything I'm doing is OK and I can have a couple bites of this and I'm not going to.
The numbers go up maybe for a day, but they come back down.
It's not real weight gain and just working so much on myself mentally and not berating myself. Like you say, like just being like, Andrea, it's okay.
You can do this. It doesn't mean anything. If you want to have that piece of cake, eat the cake. If
you want to have the pizza, eat the damn pizza, add a salad, keep going. Like that's kind of
constantly in my head. So I'm not stopping myself from having stuff that I might want because that's
when I find, like, if you don't let yourself have stuff you always want what you can't
have so if you let yourself have it and just have it in small amounts and sometimes then it's okay
it's not going to make or break you you know it's interesting because I'm looking at you and you're
like for people who like because not a lot of people just listen to us by way of um a podcast
but you're you're gorgeous and it's hard to imagine you ever like not loving, not say loving
yourself, but like being like, like, it's hard to picture you like that. Where'd that come from?
Is that something that you've carried your entire life or is it just when you've like,
you gained some weight? Like what's the, what's the story there? That's a good question. Um,
yeah, I feel like my weight gain, it wasn't a quick weight gain. It just happened over years, mainly with children because they're stressful and a lot and you get off your routine and you're not sleeping and all that. Yeah, I don't know exactly when it happened, but yeah, I just didn't want to be in picture.
I just didn't like what I saw.
I didn't feel that way walking around.
It was more when I saw myself in pictures.
I didn't feel like that's what I looked like.
And then I assume, okay, that's what I look like.
Yeah.
So I think it was more, I don't think I walked around feeling that way, but I must have because
the clothes I wore, like now I'm looking for tighter fitting shirts and I'm noticing all my shirts are flowy and so I don't know I think it's been
forever I've never had like a small body type I've always had bigger bone I have my dad's
body type my mom's quite thin naturally she's actually doing Jean Olivia on this round
because I convinced her good job mom hi mom mom. So I think it's just,
yeah, I don't know. I think it's been for, see, I told you not to ask me a question I can't answer.
I don't know if I answered that question properly because I don't know. You did.
You know, it's interesting. Yeah. Well, that's okay. It's an interesting perspective because
we keep going, we keep talking about going back and kind of understanding where you've come from.
But I love that you're just like, I'm not there anymore.
So, you know, sometimes we don't have to go see the therapist and, you know, go back to
where, oh, here's your, is this your mom, Kathy Lewis?
I'm so proud of my daughter.
I like that she wrote your name.
I love that.
My mom is, my mom, My mom is probably watching right now. My mom is always watching, hanging out with the lives and stuff, which is always really nice.
OK, so I want to get into talking a bit about the program, because one of the things that I love that you say your favorite part of the program is at the end when we personalize the plan because it feels sustainable. I think this is like so interesting because as you know, we still have like a solid five weeks left. But personalizing the plan is coming up and people
are nervous about that. And I love, let's talk about your mindset. Are you feeling 100% confident
that this is different? You're going to be able to not only reach your goal, I mean, of course,
five pounds away, but be able to maintain sustained. Can we talk a bit about your mindset there?
Yeah.
I think I might reach five pounds in the next five weeks, maybe.
But I know summer's coming and I will want to enjoy myself more.
I'll be more mindful.
We're going actually on a big trip to Germany and south of France with my, to visit my husband's family.
Yeah.
So we'll be in Germany and eating I want to
enjoy a pretzel so I know come September I'll definitely have put on a couple pounds so I have
already signed up for the September program but it's also because I know I still am working on
myself mentally and I think summer will kind of be a good test. Like what happens if I do try and maintain, can I do it? Like it's, I'm sure I can, but I need to prove to myself like, yes, you can do this and
you can still make all the choices. And I'm such a routine eater that I love, like I've always been
a routine eater. So I love that. Okay. I need to eat a fruit snack. I need to eat lunch and it
needs to be blah, blah, blah. Like I like that. So I can't see not eating like that once I stop whenever that is because I enjoy it. Can we talk about that for a second? Because I
get this a lot, right? People sign up the program and then they're like, well, I already eat like
this. How's it going to work for me? So what's your response to that? If they say, then I'll say,
well, you already have a one-up. Keep doing you're doing then are you eating just fruit like I always ate greek yogurt with fruit at my first recess like so I've always had fruit but I
had greek yogurt which you are allowed to do at the end of the program but yeah so like I kind
of have eaten like that but I don't know just following your way works I just call you the
magical program I yeah so if they already eat that, then this program will be super easy for
them. If they're already eating specifically, it's just kind of timing it and all the water,
the water makes the biggest difference. Yeah. Yeah. Cause I was going to say in your mind,
like what's different then? Like you, you've, you've always exercised, right? You've counted,
you weighed, you measured, you've, you've eaten healthy. You've been routine. What,
what's the difference then? What was the difference for you do you think I think I think learning portion
so even if it's healthy it doesn't mean you need a big port like so I guess yeah being more in tune
with my body and and kind of realizing slash understanding that it takes your body a good
15 minutes to feel full so like at the time yes it's delicious you want to keep going but if like when we split the meals and um yeah you you start to learn that actually
that probably would have satisfied me had I stopped eating yeah and then I'm just eating
because it tastes good and I think that's the hardest thing for people is we're we're so used
to as kids even like finish your plate. Yeah.
And yeah, it's hard to untrain your,
the way you've always eaten for how many, however old you are.
Well, I wanted to talk about you and being a teacher and maybe,
maybe this is going a little deep, but you know,
what do you think about when you're looking at those young kids and,
you know, just what, you know, what's happening? I know they're, they're pretty little little when they're in grade one but uh and I know you have kids yourself and you know just being
mindful of body image obesity rates and children and thoughts on that I guess I'm just especially
with my own daughters I really try and not talk about the fact I'm losing weight and I've people
have complimented me before with them there and I try and I obviously thank them and and answer but
I don't want them to like view themselves of growing up with a mom losing like on a diet I
don't want that mentality so we always talk about like they often like to get on the scale we just
say we don't even talk about numbers we just say oh you're healthy like we don't really talk about
what it is um and I I mentioned that we have these positive affirmation window clings on
their bathroom or yeah their bathroom mirror and it says like I am brave I am strong I'm confident
I am smart so I try to focus more on like the affirmation piece
versus like them judging their bodies yeah which is do you journal do you do you journal you don't
and I blame time time is so limited I would probably very much benefit from journaling but
I just don't have the time or I don't make the time. Cause I know that's kind of excuse, but I already packed so much into a day that.
Yeah. No, I actually like that. I mean, I don't, you know, the one thing that people perceive that
the Libby method is for people who have like, you know, 60, 80 pounds to lose, right. Um,
the Libby method is you have to do all of these things. And this is what I love about talking to
people is everyone has their own way. I mean, like for sure, like it's the Libby method is you have to do all of these things. And this is what I love about talking to people is everyone has their own way.
I mean, like for sure, like it's the Libby way, but you know what I'm saying?
The old, their own way to approaching the program.
And, you know, for some people it's like, yep, I did the things I worked out.
I did this other people, they, they struggled, you know, everyone has their own journey.
And that's what I love about it.
What was the hardest thing in the program for you? Um, the hardest thing in the program. Probably, I think it is. Nothing. You can
say nothing. It was all easy. It was so easy. That was a breeze. It was so easy. That's okay too. I feel like I brainstormed this.
What was that? What was your favorite part? We can skip over that. What's your favorite? I love
that. Listen, if nothing comes to mind, there's nothing wrong with that. You know, a lot of people
at the end of the program are like, oh, that was so easy. Thanks.
You know, we tend to really harp on those who are having a hard time because, you know, if we help them, then, you know, there's a lot of people just doing great.
Okay.
I think I have an answer.
I think the hard things change as the weeks go on.
So, like, at first, when I first did the the program it was not getting sad about a number
on the scale if it goes up like like learning my growing mentally that the scale doesn't mean
everything because like you say because your voice is always in my head like even if the scale is not
moving or it goes up your body is changing and that's why the pictures are so important because
it doesn't it doesn't really matter about the scale but that has been the biggest growth for me I guess so yeah maybe not
the hardest thing but the biggest growth is not yeah I'm getting sad about a number on the scale
um and like I said the hardest thing I find is adding in the nuts but I don't know if that's
like having time to add in the nuts after school and dinner and in between there. So
that's why I like the end of the program where I can mix it with my veg snack. Um, I don't know
if that fully answers it. No, listen, I, you know, it's interesting. I'm sitting here and like,
it's good to have a different perspective on this. And I love that. It doesn't have to be
sitting here and talking about how hard it was. I do want to talk, I know we're running out of
time, but, um, I can't believe how quickly, I can't believe how quickly all the conversations go by.
But you, one of the things you talk about is you hit a few plateaus, but you noticed it was often
after increasing workouts. So obviously working out is a huge benefit. And I get this all the
time. You know, how long do I have to wait after my workouts for the scale to come down? Was that like, was that, was that hard for you or how'd you handle that?
I think because your voice is in my head and I listened to all your,
I listened to your, well, I listened to it in podcast form.
I never get to be on your lives, listen to your lives or like really see your videos.
I listened to it on Spotify after. Yeah.
Just because I'm working and I'll often go for a nightly walk and throw it in or on my prep,
put my earbuds in and listen to you while I work. Um, but I forget what I was saying.
Oh, that's okay. We got it. We got to get going anyway. Um, so you, you, you have like 15 people
that are doing the program. You have your own kind of cheering section here.
What is your, what would be your advice to people?
So we have people where, you know, we get to the program.
It's a lot of people, it's their first program.
They're splitting up the bills and snacks.
They're getting used to it.
You know what's to come.
I know what's to come.
But what, any words of wisdom for our members with where we're at in the program, either, you know, to set themselves up for success, your secret sauce for being successful?
What would that be?
I think don't give up.
I a friend reached out yesterday saying she's finding a hard time.
And I said, focus on like I think she told the exact weight.
And she's like, I've only lost pounds.
Yeah.
Like, well, don't phrase that as only focus on, wow, you lost this.
Even my mom, she got into a little plateau because she's been traveling.
And I'm like, well, you're maintaining your weight.
I think that's huge.
You're not gaining while you go away.
And you've already lost this many pounds. I think people need to celebrate where they've, the growth they've already done and not look
at it or compare to other people.
Like, oh, this person's lost 20 pounds. And I thought I would lose 20 pounds by the end. Not comparing that.
Focus on what you did. And if you hadn't done this program, you wouldn't have lost that amount.
So just celebrating that you've done that. You showed up for yourself. You're doing all the
things that you can. And if you can't split every meal, that's okay. Like for this week and last
week. Yeah. For the tweak. So just do what you can. And it's progress over
perfection. Like Gina says, progress over perfection. It doesn't need to be perfect.
And I think that's a hard thing for me because as a teacher and a lot of people on this program,
A-type personality, that's something I'm still working on. It doesn't have to be perfect.
You just do the best you can. Well, you've just made it seem like it's so easy. I love that.
I honestly have found it easy. I haven't found it hard.
Hey, I love that. It's magical. I love that you say that it's magical. It doesn't have to be hard,
right? Maybe it's your perspective. I mean, you're also getting up every day. You're working
out at home. You have little kids. You're a teacher. I love this because sometimes we can
look at, you know, the things that we're dealing with and we can perceive it as being hard. Oh,
I got to get up every day and I got to work out in my basement and I got to like, you know,
I got the kids and we have lots of excuses in our lives. And I love your whole take. I think
it's refreshing. I, you can call it magical and easy.
I am totally okay with that.
We gotta go.
Thank you so much.
I enjoyed, like I said, I stalk you on Instagram.
I always just think you exude this kind of like healthiness.
Like I was saying to the team,
I'm excited to talk to her
because she's like the epitome of healthy.
I think, you know, your transformation, it's not just in your body and how you look in your jeans. It's like the epitome of healthy. I think, you know, that your transformation,
it's not just in your body and how you look in your jeans. It's like you are glowing. Do you
get that a lot? Are people telling you that? Yeah, they're showing up. We're showing your
I was at a staff party on Friday. And how is that even a co worker? I hadn't seen
a co worker I hadn't seen in a while said, I just want to say you look healthy. And that was her
compliment to phrase it as healthy. I thought it was really sweet. Yes. Yeah, that's exactly it.
And that's what I wanted to talk to you about today. And that's what I meant by it's transformative.
You can tell it's something that you've done from the inside out. You've done it in a healthy way.
You are literally glowing. I mean, I'm sure like everybody is noticing it's not even, and the, the amount of weight for what you are seeing is it's honestly,
it's incredible. You are truly inspiring. I love that perspective. Magical, right? You are amazing,
Andrea. Yes. All of this. Wow. What an incredible transformation. Thank you so much. It's not an
easy thing to, uh, you were like, Oh, I have to share, you know, you get picked. I saw your post. You got, you had chosen out of 21,000. It's
actually something more like 26,000 people who are actually in the group. It's not an easy thing,
um, to share and be vulnerable. And I just love your fresh perspective. And thank you so much.
I know you're going to reach your goal, but if you, you know, I know you're going to reach your
goal. We'll probably reach it next week with the way that you're going. Thank you so much. Thank you so much for having me. I'm glad I could share my
story. Okay. Make sure you pop in. Make sure you do pop into the group and read the comments
because people are showing you a lot of love. Best phrase. Yeah. Saying is healthy. You look
incredible. Congratulations. I love that. All right. I adore you. Thank you so much. Come on. Honestly, I'm being real. So I get to know a lot of our members. I follow a lot of them on Instagram. I told you this last week, I'm ditching all the influencers and whatever. And I just want to be inspired by our very real members on their very real journeys. And she posts every day and she's motivated me a
few times to like get my ass up and go work out and, you know, move my body. And I just,
I look at her and I'm thinking, this is healthy. This is healthy, you know? And I think that's one
of the things that we're seeing a lot. You guys heard me talk about this before. We are seeing
healthy weight loss. That's what, that's the difference. And especially in stark contrast to some of the weight loss that is happening out there. I love that we're seeing healthy weight loss. That's the difference, especially in stark contrast to some of the weight loss that is happening out there.
I love that we're seeing healthy weight loss.
So massive thanks to Andrea.
You can follow her underscore.
So at underscore a healthier underscore stronger underscore Andrea.
Thanks to her for sharing her story.
So tomorrow, where are we? Wednesday, Kim and I are
getting together. We're going to talk about the tweak this week. That's going to be tomorrow at
12 PM. This is where, yeah, we're going to talk about the tweak this week. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah. But also we're going to introduce the tweak next week, which is where we actually start to
revamp the program, which gives you a lot more flexibility, which is really cool. So you're
definitely going to want to join us for that. Have an amazing rest of your day, everyone.
And I'll see you tomorrow.
Bye.
