Starting point is 00:00:03 For the past month, everyone has been asking the same question. Where on earth is Brian Laundry? Since the disappearance of his fiancé Gabby Petito, the subsequent locating of her remains, and the recent autopsy finding indicating that she died by manual strangulation, everyone has wanted answers, including none other than Dog the Bounty Hunter. Many of you've been following this case very closely. Our Discord server is a buzz anytime there's a new development in the case.
Starting point is 00:00:32 With that being said, we thought we should go ahead and give a quick update on the case and what we currently know about it. Now, if this is your first time hearing about the case, we have a short episode that we did summarizing what happened here with Gabby's disappearance and what Brian Laundrie's involvement with the case could be. So there is a link to that on the screen right now to get yourself caught up before we go any further. So yesterday, a discovery at the Carlton Reserve in Northport, Florida, may have shed some light to his whereabouts, but may not provide the answers we're all seeking. So what appears to be human remains and items belonging to Brian Laundry, including a backpack and a notebook, have been located.
Starting point is 00:01:11 The apparent remains were found in an area that had been underwater until recently. The remains were found about two to three miles inside of the Carlton Reserve, or about a 45-minute walk at the entrance of the Miyaka-hatchee Creek Environmental Park. The Miyaka-Hatchee Creek Environmental Park is on 160 acres of heavily wooded land in Northport, with trails and a camping area. The park connects to the Carlton Reserve, which is a 25,000-acre nature reserve that has been the primary search location for investigators. Searchers had previously used swamp buggies,
Starting point is 00:01:45 divers, and airboats to scour the swampy terrain, but the area had dried out recently due to the clearer weather. Law enforcement had been searching in treacherous conditions, including nearly chest-high water full of snakes and alligators. Sources close to the investigation have stated that the apparent human remains appear to have been there a while, and that based on the condition of the remains, it may take some time to officially identify them.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Other sources have stated that the remains are partial and are skeletonized, with some sources stating it's actually a very small amount of remains, what that means we do not know yet. According to the laundry family attorney, Steve Bertolino, the area where the discovery of remains was made was the very area of the park that they advised law enforcement to search as far back as September 17th. Bertolino stated that Laundrie's parents had informed the FBI in the Northport Police Department
Starting point is 00:02:37 on Tuesday night they intended to go to the park on Wednesday morning to search for Brian, as it was the first day that the park was to be reopened to the public. The parents walked the trail followed closely by law enforcement personnel. According to Bertolino, as they went further into the park, Chris Laundrie ventured off the trail into the woods. He was zigzagging into different areas and law enforcement was doing the same thing, while Roberta Laundrie kept the trail. At some point, Chris located a white dry bag laying in the woods around 20 feet or so off the trail.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Bertolino said, according to Chris Laundrie, the dry bag was in some brambles and he didn't want to pick up the bag because he wanted law enforcement to see it. Laundry allegedly couldn't find officers because they were then out of his sight and he didn't want to leave the bag there with a news reporter standing nearby, so he picked it up. Many folks have speculated whether or not Chris Lernerner. laundry actually planted that dry bag. So Bertolino claims that this isn't true, but the court of public opinion feels otherwise, as many folks have lost trust in the laundries over the past month and a half. And I actually found a bit of information as we were getting our board and microphones
Starting point is 00:03:45 hooked up. Some canine handlers that handle cadaver dogs find it highly suspicious and they can actually find remains underwater. So one handler stated that if a body or remains had been in an area even underwater for more than three minutes, a train dog should have found them already. So basically lend into the theory that they were planted. Yes. There were some theories across investigator groups
Starting point is 00:04:10 that believed that the laundries were hiding Brian's remains and things of that nature. Some were even saying that they were hiding Brian in a flower bed and putting him under the mulch alive, which is the strangest thing because if you know anything about anything, your body would start to rot
Starting point is 00:04:26 alive being put in mulch. Plus, you wouldn't be able to stay under there for very long with all your various bodily needs and things of that nature. They were going as far as saying is like Roberta was knelt down next to the garden talking to like what appear to be a face coming out of the ground. Because people have been flying drones over their property with some frequency. I mean, this is the biggest missing person's case going on in America right now. So there's a lot of eyes on this family. Yeah. So their lawyer Bertolino went on to state that Chris Laundrie did meet up shortly with law enforcement and they looked at the content.
Starting point is 00:04:58 of the bag. At that time, officers showed him a picture on a phone of a backpack that law enforcement had located also nearby some distance off the trail. The laundries were notified there were also remains near the backpack and they were asked to leave the preserve. Berlino stated that, quote, the probability is strong that it is Brian's remains, end quote. So this is a very strange case, I had thought kind of from the beginning that it may end up this way, if this is indeed him. I thought that it was very likely we were going to find Brian Laundry dead. However, a lot of people are speculating that these remains aren't actually Brian and this is a plant to try to pass it off and fake Brian's death. But of course, there's no hard evidence for that theory and we have to wait
Starting point is 00:05:48 until more information comes out. But I will say it's very odd that on the first, day that this place is open to the public, the family is able to go in and suddenly find all of these things that so many search parties could not have found prior. I mean, to your point, trained dogs could have found this stuff. And they didn't. So what's going on here? So through the miracle of editing, we have an even further breaking news. We were just about to upload this video when we were informed by Vinnie in our Discord.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Shout out to Vinny for getting this to us very quickly. the skeletal remains have been confirmed. It is Brian Laundrie. Yes, the FBI literally just tweeted this. They did a dental records comparison, and it is Brian. And this is from FBI Denver's official Twitter page, quote, hashtag update. On October 21st, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry-Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve and Miyakahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundry. is confirmed, Brian Laundry is dead and his remains have been recovered. This begs the question, as we said before, how did train dogs and all these search parties
Starting point is 00:07:03 not find his remains? And now on the first day of the public opening, they're there to be found. Do you think Brian's parents had anything to do with this? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section because... This is crazy. This is. I know a lot of people thought that Brian Laundry was going to turn up dead. I was one of those people. However, I didn't think he was going to turn up dead in this way. I thought he was going to be found last month. I did not think it would be under these circumstances. So now we're left with even more questions. So please let us know your theories. If there's anything we miss with the breaking news, please let us know in the comment section below.
