Jimmy Hendricks never really said, excuse me, while I kiss this guy.
He did say support TMS today at patreon.com slash TMS, though.
Coming up on the morning stream, more like Olivia Neutron bomb, am I right?
Volcanic onion.
A regal with cheese.
Where is Africa?
Dunaway's not here, man.
Nitrates and popcorn and butter, oh my.
Worse than Schwarma.
Cold soup has no business going in my mouth.
How much for you to tug on my satellite?
Send a couple droids up to fix it.
I don't like super novi.
Never put resin in your eye.
The Big Johnson contingent.
Sunfish Pignada.
Get out the cold bowls with Bobby and more on this episode of the morning stream.
I'm not trying to make you feel uncomfortable.
I'm not trying to make you anything at all.
But this feeling doesn't come along every day.
You don't know something that kind of irritated me back in 1983?
The Morning Stream.
Talent in the can, ladies and gentlemen.
Hello and welcome to TMS.
This is the morning stream for Monday, August 3, 2006.
I am Scott Johnson.
That is Brian Nibit.
Hello.
Good morning, good sir.
One of my favorite, one of my favorite Scott Fletcher intros.
Oh, it's amazing.
Yeah.
I always wanted to know what he was drinking.
I don't think he's...
It's talent in a can.
Yeah, just talent in a can.
We could all use a six-pack of talent in a can.
That's right.
That little audio music clip, well, music.
Yeah.
You want to call it that, sure.
It took me a second.
It took me until the opening music of the TMS theme to figure out what song he was singing.
Yeah, it's one of the worst karaoke performances I've ever seen.
It's pretty horrendous.
Yeah, absolutely.
You know what?
I've got another one for you.
Okay, all right.
Because some of you may not be aware of this.
And for those of you wondering, it's, I honestly love you by Olivia Newton-Jah.
Oh, thank you.
Sorry, yes, we should have had a little follow through on what the title was.
The big hit that was that.
I guess it was kind of a hit.
It was all right.
It was a hit.
Oh, no, it was a big hit for her.
Yeah, it was like before her, before I think the grease stuff.
This was like, oh, pre-Greece, weird.
Pre-Greece, yeah.
I never think of her pre-grease.
Along with like, please, Mr. Please, and, yeah.
For me, it was Greece, Zandadu, physical.
Sure, sure.
No, there was a whole, there was a whole business before that with O-N-J.
Yeah, it sounds like a hot night with your date.
Oh, N-J, a little O-N-J.
Yeah, a little bit.
Sounds like a disease.
Oh, man.
No, went to the doctors, says, I've got only.
A little ONJ. It'll clear up though. You put a little cream on it. It'll be fine.
Brian, I'm going to play something that's maybe worse, but also it's to celebrate something.
If you guys are not aware, yesterday it was Brian Ibbett's birthday.
And I found the perfect karaoke sung version of this birthday song by this Indian creator I follow.
And it was just too good not to play it.
Eastern Indian.
Eastern Indian.
You'd say Native American or you'd say indigenous people.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're none of us are really.
Hopefully we're not.
I mean, I don't, has anyone asked the indigenous folks how they prefer it?
Yeah.
Kay doesn't like, I mean, she prefers Native American or indigenous people.
Okay.
All right, good.
I just always wonder.
My daughter-in-law.
Sometimes our white guilt gets in front of us and I never know for sure.
Like I've got Japanese friends that, like someone will get offended that I'll do the whole
thing like from, from an animal.
me. Yeah.
You're making fun of a culture thing or whatever.
No, we're making fun of a sound that we hear on a cartoon all the time.
Yeah.
You know, it's, yeah.
But people have done that.
I've had people get after me.
And then I'll talk to a friend who's Japanese and they'll go, we don't give a shit.
Yeah.
Do it all you want.
And he's like, it is, it is weird.
He's like, yeah.
It does not bother us.
Whatever, you know.
Doesn't have that problem.
But anyway, so here it is.
This is a guy from India, the country of India.
I follow him.
And he does English covers.
of songs and he did this one and I just had to play it.
So this is for you, Brian.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday to you.
And it only did the one bit again because it doesn't know your name, obviously.
But I like to think that if he could, he would have said Brian Abbott.
Yeah, exactly.
If he could, he would have.
I do like, I mean, that is the thing, right?
the, oh, like the, you know, that's in the...
They have to do it in lots of songs and stuff.
Every song, yeah.
Every Bollywood song I've ever heard has got that.
So, sure.
Yeah, why not?
I hope you had a good one.
How to go?
How was the best thing?
It was nice.
You know, we did, we went to a tepaniaki place, a little habachi Friday night with
crazy neighbor and, well, friends, neighbors, Uncle George, Aunt Barb, a big group of us.
And that's the way to do those places with the big group.
Like you're,
you're,
exactly.
Just you and a girl?
I don't know.
I mean,
I guess on a date,
sure,
but you're,
here's the thing.
It's not as fun.
If it's like a date,
you got to make sure you get the end,
the corner,
right?
Because you,
you,
otherwise,
it's like you're sitting on a bus bench.
You're not really able to,
like,
you know,
you got to turn and talk and you can't do that sort of thing.
Yeah.
So go for a corner if it's just two people.
And,
but,
and there's,
a whole time you're not going to be able to talk to each other because the guy is like slamming his
his spatulas onto the metal griddle and he's making the the volcano and he's blowing his little
train horn going to do to making it go across the thing yeah every trick this guy did by the way like
every well that was going to ask you like how benny hana is this it is full on benihana is and it's
you know uh there's the whole thing where it's like uh tossing a piece of broccoli into
everybody's mouth around the table and cracking the egg or spinning the egg on the spatula
and then flipping out to his hat and then doing the onion volcano.
By the way, I did the onion volcano on my blackstone because once you get a blackstone,
you make your smash burgers, you make your fried rice, you make pancakes, but at some point
you are going to try to do the onion volcano.
Describe that for me because I'm not sure what that is in my head.
Absolutely. So you basically take an onion and you you slice one big slice through the waist, the whitest part of the onion. So you've got rings.
Okay.
And then you, because an onion has, I guess you go a little bit above the waist, because it curves in, you separate those rings and then you put the whitest ring on the bottom.
And then you take the next whitest ring. And because it's narrow, each one is narrower at the top, you can.
can stack them and it makes like a little pyramid.
Okay.
So that's forming the volcanic mountain shape.
Exactly.
All right.
Then you put cooking oil or alcohol or something inside.
They use their cooking sake and that's a really good thing because you want you want something
that's going to burn off quick and not sit there and be a fire for a long period of time.
Oh, I see.
So alcoholics, especially the cooking stuff's going to.
Yeah.
The whole idea is flash fire and get it out of it.
Or even just some straight up alcohol.
A little vodka if you've got it.
Yeah.
And then you take a,
hopefully one of those long lighters.
So your thumb isn't right by the burn hole.
Oh,
the kind you do for your,
your barbecues in the backyard.
Exactly.
The ones that have the long stem on them.
Yeah.
You could probably even use,
you know,
it's in there somewhere,
but one of those like USB chargeable taser lighters.
Oh, yeah, I got a little one of those.
I love that.
Yeah.
And then you light it and, you know, all the alcohol comes out the top of the volcano.
And so it just lights a little fire and it looks really cool and you can, you know, as long as.
Does it run off the, does the flaming liquid run off the side like lava for a second?
It doesn't.
No, because there's, you know, it's, I guess it is kind of boiling in there, but you're not going to use so much alcohol that it should.
Yeah.
You shouldn't use so much alcohol that it's even going over the top ring.
Oh, I want to make one of these now.
Yeah, it's fun.
Just, you know, have a person nearby with an extinguisher.
Have your fire marshal friend come over and be a part of it.
Man, that's cool.
I've got a black, it's not Blackstone brand, but one of those.
And we've never tried this.
I'm going to have to try it.
Oh, yeah, yeah, do it.
and those man i love my blackstone cooked a steak on there last night it was so good so good um but uh no
that was fun uh did that kind of mellow day saturday it's just me and tina for most of the day we hung
out um uh watched a movie uh like a little streaming thing that i probably will use for a future
uh future recommendal um yeah mellow mellow
the night. We got some wings. And then last night for the actual birthday, neighbors opened up
the pool. We had some more neighbors come over and we all just kind of hung out in the pool and it was
a great time. Nice. That sound like the perfect birthday weekend. Really, really good. Yeah, exactly.
I don't need like, I don't know. We went to, you know, we went to another state and did this,
that there and, you know, had dinner at the fanciest restaurant we could find. It's like, no, you know,
just being with the people. I don't even care if it's a McDonald's, just being with.
the people that we like being around, you know?
Yeah, no, that's the, you have it right.
That is exactly the right thing.
Yeah.
Makes me want to do that for the rest of all holidays from now on.
Exactly.
And saw Spider-Man.
Spider-Man, we definitely saw Spider-Man as well.
Yes, you do.
You saw with a great group of people.
I'm jealous.
You know, I saw mine with Tina.
I'm happy about that.
Sure.
You know, if I could have seen it with Tina and all of you and your people that were there,
Friday night, yeah.
That would have been incredible.
So we had, I'll give, I'll name them.
There are a couple of people whose names I just don't know and I feel terrible that I don't.
But please reach out to me and correct me because you were awesome to, it was awesome to see you all.
But anyway, it was Kim, me, Nick Carter and Alicia also went.
So Big Johnson contingent.
And then KT Data was there.
Rose Kitty was there.
This is KT Data's favorite, really only movie theater he goes to.
So this is why we met there because they have a, oh, cool.
It's the only, um,
what's it called?
Not Royale.
A regal?
Regal. Jeez.
Regal.
In French, France, they called the Royal.
The Royal.
The Royal. Yes.
With cheese.
And he was there.
Rose Kitty was there.
Squishy-twitchy was there down from,
he came down from freaking Wyoming.
Wow.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's more dedicated than me.
He has apparently has a place in Park City, so they, you know,
they have somewhere to go.
That's still another, you know, 45 minutes from where we were.
Yeah.
I got to meet him and his wife.
Hootie was there.
Ryan Norta all the way down from Provo was there.
Kay Katsumi came.
She's always great to see.
And then this couple whose name, I can't, I don't know it.
I don't think they've ever told me their name.
So I don't know their names and I feel terrible that I don't.
I should have probably reached out to, you know, Kevin probably knows it and I just should have asked.
But they're all wonderful.
They were all super nice.
We had a great time.
And afterwards went to this really like old, I want to say 40 plus years.
year old ice cream parlor kind of place that's just been in Utah forever. It's run by this one
small family. They've never expanded beyond the state. It's called leather bees. It's really nice.
We used to take all our dates there in high school. It's that kind of place. Sure. Makes sense. Yep.
And we hear, well, they're open until midnight. We didn't get out of the movie until like 1030. It was
late. And so we're like, oh, you know, let's go there. I think we're going to be okay. And we were,
but I thought we'd walk in there at 1030. It's an ice cream.
place, right? I thought it would be kind of, not dead, but just winding down.
Sure, yeah.
Freaking stack to the walls.
Sure. Yeah, you know what?
An ice cream place on a Friday night, everybody's going after dinner, going after seeing a movie.
Yeah. Like, hang out probably a lot of kids there too. Like, you know, the high school kids.
Well, I guess high school's out right now, but, you know.
Yeah, but they had groups like little sports groups and some kids with, by the way, apparently
frosted tips are back.
Oh, really? So just like the villains in the 80s
movie. I don't know what's going on there, but I
part of this story actually has to do with one.
But we're there and we're having a great time.
Everybody's there. We're laughing. We're talking.
What a great movie. We loved it.
My favorite of the live actions without a question.
Yeah. It's just fantastic. And we loved every second and we're
talking about it and talking about it. And then
throughout the night, including during the movie,
I was getting like a little burpee.
I was like, oh, what's going on down here?
I got a little, whirr.
I'm like, oh, well, whatever.
So I go ahead and eat a hot dog and some popcorn anyway, like a dumb ass.
Because that'll help.
Yeah, that'll definitely help.
Yeah, the doctor always says you want to settle your stomach.
Load it up with nitrates and popcorn and butter.
Anyway, so I'm doing that.
But I'm feeling okay.
It's just kind of like burp, you know, not a big deal.
Kim seems it over during the movie.
And she goes, you feeling okay?
I said, yeah.
she goes, I can't stop burping.
I'm like, oh, no, not you.
Oh, she said the same thing.
Yeah, so she's, and she's not, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
She, you guys talked during the movie?
It was like, it was like, one of me.
It's just like, I know, I know, I know.
All right.
Well, now you just made me feel better, then.
Got up going to Salt Lake City to see this.
He saved yourself some real pain.
That's right.
Excuse me.
These people over here.
Yep.
She goes, she goes, I'm going to go to the bathroom.
Can you just kind of tell me what I miss if I, and I said, sure.
So she gets up and leaves.
And there's some quiet point of the movie, which isn't, which aren't many.
But yeah, it's a pretty action-packed film.
But anyway, so she leaves.
Yeah.
And I'm just kind of blowing it off, no big deal.
We go to ice cream.
Her and I share like this Sunday thing, not a huge one.
They have these nightmare ones that are like challenges to eat.
Sure, right, yeah.
We just have your name on the wall if you finish off one of those.
Yeah.
Yeah, we just did this normal one.
And while we're there, we're like, oh, just grumbly and not great.
And I'm like, what's going on?
And we still eat the ice cream like dumb shits.
like dumbasses.
And I eat half of it.
The secret to making your stomach feel better is always more food.
Yeah.
And I'm having,
I mean,
we're having such a good time.
I'm like,
I'm not going to let whatever's going on here ruin my night.
So we're there right up until midnight.
And then everyone's like,
ah,
we better leave.
And we're like,
okay,
cool.
We get about halfway home and I'm like,
oh,
my gut says,
you better get your ass home because you're going to be,
you're going to have a problem.
So I get,
we get home.
long story short
we are up
all night
with the rumbly guts
and my first thought is like
oh no what happened
we get some lettuce
wreck in the bathroom yeah
yeah it's just her and I
so anyway we traced it back
we figured out what it was
we have this friend
this neighbor friend
who made this pasta dish for us
and I'm not sure
what the offending ingredient was
but it had some chicken
chicken cubes in it some kind of
mozzarella cheese
stuff, these noodles, and then I don't know what all. It seemed fine when we ate it, but we're the only
two that ate it. Okay. And we ate it about two hours before the movie. So it all tracks that
that was something in there was bad. And so we've, her and I have spent the last two days just
trying to recover from freaking noodle game. Wow. Oh God. Yeah. So lots of fun. What's great is the movie
happened in such a way that it didn't get, nothing got ruined. The movie did not get ruined for me at
all by this. And even
then hanging out with everybody after.
But like clockwork,
halfway home on the freeway,
it was like, you're going to spend the next day and a
half on the shitter. That's how this is going to go.
So anyway, I wonder
if it was just something that was like really rich.
I mean, it may not have been something bad,
you know, or spoiled or something like that.
It just might have been, you know.
I mean, it seemed pretty, not bland, but like,
I don't know.
Pretty standard pasta thing, right?
Like stuff you've had a million times.
Yeah, and the only thing I can think of is maybe that chicken had, it's like a pre-cooked chicken cubed up.
Yeah, yeah.
It's just all the time, yeah.
Possible those were older or maybe, I don't know.
Honestly, it's hard for me to figure out.
But it definitely like, when I was all burp, all burping up that pasta.
Like, it was just like, oh, phase two.
It was definitely that, yeah.
So it was not real fun and we hated it.
And the good part is the movie was fantastic.
So there's that.
So good.
It was so good, dude.
And I'm and I'm with KT Davies said
Fantastic movie a little
The Sting was a little meh
Oh the Stinger sucked
Yeah
It was terrible
I mean it's not that it
Whatever we're staying after the credits
No matter what they show us
And no matter what you're going to have different opinions about it
But that was a nothing burger
It was really a nothing burger
And I know you know
I know a couple theories of what it's probably
Suggesting and I get that
But
Yeah they're
had to have been a better way to
give those hints without just
giving us a web screen that we can go to
right now. We can go to spidey
tracker.com or whatever it is.
I know there's an actual website for it.
Oh, for this app that Ned was
making? Yeah, yeah, you can actually
there's a website for it and, oh,
far worse than Shwarma.
Oh, way worse.
Shwarma was
a great stinger because
it was hilarious and it was
so, it was
wordless, except for just watching
the Avengers, you know, after they had just finished
saving New York, just sitting there quietly
like,
uh, eating,
yeah, eating Schwarma.
I think it's one of my favorite
stingers, actually. Yeah, I liked that one. I thought that
was all right. Yeah. So what are you supposed to do here?
Let's see. If I click on the
it says loading still, there you go. So like
sound option, choose what you want.
Welcome to the Spidey tracker.
Ah, that's really, uh,
but the talon, yeah. Yeah.
Okay, so let's see.
Rumered Sightalon, whatever is.
Oh, initially map.
Okay, here we go.
All right.
I'm going to click on this African siting.
We'll click the siding.
Except that's South America, but that's fine.
Oh, yeah, that's not I meant.
All right, let's see.
Oh, this is actually, you can submit photos of places you've seen.
Oh, really?
I guess.
Oh, that's hilarious.
Yeah, certainly.
Except why is that guy like in a Venetian gondola?
I don't know.
go check it out.
All right.
He's just saying random shit.
Let's see.
Let's see.
Go to Utah and see what you, uh,
zoom out to Utah and, uh,
some kind of Google map.
Oh,
I guess you were there.
You were in Utah.
Yeah,
I went to whatever that was.
Let's see.
Can I see?
Can you place a?
I don't know.
So what you're doing is,
you're turning on and off rumored sightings.
Oh,
share your spidey sightings on X.
Okay.
So I wonder if you do that.
It plops.
Oh, they probably tag them or something.
Probably tag them and then it does it does.
it. Let's see what this one is.
That's just some
cosplayers. That's a pretty good costume. Yeah, it's not bad actually.
Man, the costume, Tom Holland's in these days, is a very traditional
Spider-Man right now. It really is. And I like
how you can kind of see his eyes a little bit through the
through the lenses a couple times.
Yeah. It's pretty cool. That movie's good.
I think it rests on the fact that it knows how to be a great
movie, whether it's superheroes or not. And then
did the superhero thing.
on top of it.
Totally.
And that's the key.
That's how you make the good ones.
Absolutely.
It was really good.
I'd never even heard of that director.
And now I want to know.
I know.
Yeah, he was really good.
He really knew he understood the assignment and did a great job.
I'll still, you know, even if you're listening to rumors and scuttle button, things like that,
I feel like there's still a lot of great surprises in there.
And I'm, oh, it was the same guy who did Shang-chi.
Okay, cool.
Oh, well, okay.
There's cred there.
Yeah.
Use him more.
I think he's got the touch.
Absolutely.
Yep.
Yeah, we were,
um,
always sitting around talking about our favorites.
Oh,
that's what it was.
Hooty freaked everybody out because Hootie goes,
um,
we were ice cream and he goes,
um,
oh,
I love them all.
Or here are my favorites,
but man,
some of those movies like,
Shang Chi,
that's terrible.
I didn't need to make that.
What?
And the entire table.
What?
Did what I just did?
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah,
we all ganged up on him because we were like,
that is the wrongest thing.
I've ever heard. We can't wait to see him. Say what you want about Thor Dark World, but Sean Chi,
Sean Chi was excellent. Yeah. And I'll, I'll say this too. A bright spot in the,
in the current phase. I agree with you. I'll say this too about this new movie. This is not
Tom Holland phoning anything in. This is like, I think some of his best acting. And I think he's a,
I think he's a really good actor. Like there's this movie The Devil all the time that's got him, Patinson,
the Winter Soldier guy.
I can't think of his name all of a sudden.
Sebastian Stan.
A bunch of other people,
this Southern noir Gothic thing,
set around the turn of the century.
It's very good.
A lot of people missed it.
It came out in 2020 and it's really, really,
I may have recommended it.
I'm not sure on the show.
But anyway,
he's clearly got like chops.
He's always had him.
He's a good actor, that kid.
He's not a kid anymore.
He's 30.
But he's really good in this.
Not just good at being Spider-Man.
No, no.
There's depth of character here.
It's really good.
a lot of emotions he
has to convey a lot of different
emotions he has to convey and he's really
really good at it. Yeah, it was, yeah, he's
yeah, I mean,
it does feel like right now we're in a stage where
we've got
10 actors, everybody loves
and we're going to put them in everything.
It's like, oh,
Zendaya, Patenson, let's put them
in the Odyssey. Let's also
put them in that, the drama
and we'll have them in this and oh, they're hurry
into the Dune, but
Dune 3 and, you know.
Yeah, no, there's a, we have a, there's a rat pack,
brat pack going on a little bit.
Kind of is, yeah.
And they're all about 28 to 30.
Yep.
And they're all in every movie made now.
That's just the rule.
Yeah.
So if you want to, if you want less Zendaya in your life,
I got bad news for you.
She can be around for a long time.
She's going to be around for a long time.
Yeah.
And she's really good.
Oh, man.
She gutted me, though, in this movie.
Yeah.
No, you too.
Oh, my.
Gosh.
Carter was crying.
Don't tell her I told you.
No, there was a couple points that got me.
I'll be honest.
And Tina, for sure.
Yeah.
No, we were both like...
Also, I think that...
It doesn't spoil anything.
Oh, no.
You know how the trailer...
The trailer has some ninjas in it.
I'll just say that.
Yes.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I wasn't sure how that was going to go,
because I usually think that comes off as a little corn dog.
Like, not...
Yes.
Like, it's something like Shangchi.
It works for me, but something like this.
I don't know.
I just didn't expect it.
great in the
Netflix
Daredevil and Electra season.
Yes. Yeah.
People either know what we're talking about
or we're not spoiling anything, so this is good.
That scene
in the tall room, whatever that was?
Yes. Unfreaking
believable, man. Yeah. Oh yeah, for
sure. No, and the
just the ties
to
the insomniac
game
movements and
and kind of bits from that.
That really surprised me.
There was, you know, the other thing.
The comic covers, again, not a spoiler to say,
you're going to get some fan service in this thing,
but I loved all that.
No, none of it felt forcey or weird.
No.
Or no, or out of place.
Exactly. Like it fit, it was thematically perfect.
Yeah, and if you didn't know better,
it would just be a cool scene, right?
You'd be like...
Exactly.
So they didn't waste screen space with fan service, I thought.
I thought they did a really good job at that.
stuff was also worried about a certain transition mm-hmm I thought that that would be
dumb the way they would play that up and instead they see it in the trailer
and you're thinking oh is this what what what's gonna happen here yeah I
thought that was handled really well it's just great you guys really really good
so go see it yep cool it's also weird scene that dude that plays scorpion who's
in better call saw mando yeah that's just weird to see him and stuff when it
isn't better call salt
It really is. I know.
It just throws me because I'm just like, shouldn't you be kind of trying to kill your uncle or I don't know.
Buy some meth or run the Mexican cartel for everybody in the States or whatever you're trying to do.
He's so good too.
He's got presents that guys.
He really does.
Anyway, go see it.
I'm sure most of you have because you're afraid of him and you want to hang out with them at the same time.
It's really a tough thing to do.
For the first time in many months for me, that was the fullest theater I've been in like,
When it emptied, people are in line to pee.
Like, I haven't had a movie experience like that
about, I don't know, since pre-pandemic for me,
like that big.
So I think Spider-Man made a bunch of money,
almost a billion dollars or something by now.
Yeah, big weekend.
Huge, huge weekend.
Second largest opening of all time now,
right behind, just behind Endgame.
And it's got rewatchability.
I mean, I'm tempted.
And probably, I don't know if I'd be so tempted
if I was paying for my tickets,
like paying per ticket.
but I'm tempted to some afternoon this week just go again if I can find a little solo seat.
That'd be great.
Because you're going to catch stuff, right?
You didn't see the first time?
Yeah, exactly.
I love doing that too sometimes.
I haven't done that a long time.
Maybe there's another stinger that I'll show it'll be better.
One of the chat.
One of the chat can guess which movie I last did that with?
Oh.
What do you think the last movie I saw twice in the theater?
You saw twice in the theater?
I actually saw it three times in the theater.
Yeah, I think we know.
Did they have the chromy,
a shiny and chrome version in the theaters?
No, that was a blue ray thing.
Although I think they did showing sense like special.
I think they did.
Yeah.
I would love to go to one.
Yeah.
If they ever did one again, I would go.
But I don't think anything here open with that.
Yeah.
No.
Furios I saw twice in the theater.
Mad Max Fury Road I saw three times in the theater.
And then if you add that to how many times I've seen them since
and my plan to watch it again soon, it gets really disgusting.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
Guys.
Oh, Brian is not in today.
That's why we're going a little long with the top of the show.
Oh, we are.
Okay.
Very last minute.
I'll tell you what he told me.
Okay.
He says, hey, in the last 15 minutes, we had somebody quit in our department and a server go down.
Oh, she.
I will not be able to make it on TMS.
Sorry, guys.
This sucks.
So he is busy putting out of fire.
Okay.
And as a result, we're already at 930.
Anyway, we're just going to pull in Bobby.
We're just going to ride into Bobby.
Okay.
Sounds good.
save the trivia for next time.
Yep.
We can, you could even do it on, I guess we could, I don't know.
We could do it on Wednesday instead of feud.
Yeah, whatever you're into.
If it's easier to just copy and paste into that.
Yeah, let's just do a Wednesday instead of feud.
That sounds great.
Now this.
Whoops, this.
Science.
Bob is hungry and the soup looks good.
Well, that's talk to Bob about his soup and anything else scientifically driven from Bobby
Frankenberger.
Is it a hot soup?
Yeah, hot soup.
Cold soup? Bobby, where do you land on the hot soup
cold soup? What do you prefer? Vichyso?
I have there. Cold soup
has no business going into my mouth.
Oh, I see. Even gazpacho?
Have you had a really good gazpacho?
No, clearly not.
Yeah, you need a really good gazpacho.
There's some places that just say...
Because if I'd had a good gazpacho, I would have thought it was good, Brian.
Fair enough.
Fair enough.
That's a good point. So wait a minute. I don't know if this makes me weird or not.
Maybe it does, but when Kim makes jumbalaya, which currently we have a pretty
fresh batch in the fridge to go back to today.
I will sometimes, because she does a version of it that's just veggies and no meats or
seafood or anything.
And I will sometimes eat that cold because it's really good cold.
It's like a gazpacho, but kind of a Cajun gazpacho, if that's such a thing.
And I'll sometimes use it to like, I'll dip like chips or like pita bread in it when it's cold.
It's really good that way.
I'm not sure that counts, but it's, it is a thing I'll.
do. So Bob, you need try that.
I mean, when jambla is hot, it doesn't really qualify as a soup. It's more of a stew, right?
That's true, although the way she makes it. Does she do rice with it, probably? She does rice
separately. So, because, uh, yeah, but you put it over the rice. Yeah. I just don't eat rice.
So for me, it's much more soupy than for everyone else. But if you just got, because she keeps it
separate in the fridge. So if you've got, you know, a big, the big thing, the stuff is pretty
liquidy and using it as
salsa may sound strange but it's really good
I have to admit that
like the way I truly feel about it is that
I've just never had
soups in general are just lower
on my list of things that I
not that you don't go for the soup anyway
right yeah yeah and but I
firmly believe that
that
I like pretty much anything
as long as it's cooked well right
and so I haven't
I haven't met a type of food or a category of food that I refuse to eat.
It's just there are some that I are harder to cook it in a way that I will enjoy it.
Would you call a bowl of cereal a breakfast soup?
Yeah, I feel like it is.
I do too.
I've always kind of had that vibe.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Don't you have to, does soup have to be cooked?
That's the question.
I know it can be cold, but does it have to be cooked?
I don't know.
You know what, now that you say that, is cooking, because even gazpacho gets cooked and reduced, and then you serve it cold.
But maybe what it is is that cereal is a breakfast soup, but it's not a stew.
Oh, interesting. Okay. Because stew implies a haying.
I feel like stew, you definitely have to cook.
All right. Yeah, yeah. You can't have a cold stew. I mean, you can eat,
right. Stu that's been cooked, you can eat a cold and charmedly as the example of that.
Right, right. Am I right about gazpacho?
they have to, you have to cook it first, right? It has to be cooked and then you know. No. No?
I've made gazpacho where you cook the garlic into the broth, but I've also made
gazpacho where you start with a beef broth and you don't cook it at all. Oh, interesting. Yeah.
Okay. The other thing is I pretty much will eat, like to me the best food is food that someone made
for me. That is the best food, yes. Free is also my favorite kind of food. Yeah, right. But even if it's not
free. Like, like, and I would modify that and say, not just that someone made for me, but
but the best food is actually even the food that I didn't have to decide what it was going to be.
I love it if people just give me something to try and eat and because I just like trying
lots of different things. A chef's table kind of dinner is one of my favorite experiences. So,
that's all to say, Brian, if you made gazpacho, I would definitely try it.
Yeah, cool. Hell yeah.
Would you try my wife's cold jambalaya, though?
Would you do that?
Yeah, why?
Sure.
All right, all right.
We're doing it.
Next time we're all together.
Get out the cold bowls.
Bobby's going in.
Next time we're all together, everyone's just going to make me cold soups.
Yeah.
I love it.
Probably Hammond will bring you something real disgusting, I guess.
Oh, gosh, yeah.
That's what he does.
Fried chicken candy or fried chicken soda.
Oh, gosh.
Dang it, man.
That guy really wanted us to die that day.
All right. Hey, Bobby, it's time for some science. We've been kind of bereft of science. It's not even the right word.
We've been scienceless. Yeah, that's how bad it is. I use the wrong word for it. Science has been under attack recently. Let's get it out of the crossfire.
Yeah, can we do that? What did you bring today to discuss?
Bereft is the right word, by the way. You use the right word. Thank you. I just wanted to give you.
I thought that was more like, oh, she's bereft because her husband died or something like that.
No, that's bereaved. Oh, bereaved.
All right.
Bereft means you're lacking something, so yes.
You're lacking your husband.
But you know what...
I mean, you know, in a kind of a way, that's true.
That's true.
That's dark and true.
But you know what NASA's bereft of is a good repair rocket,
a good thing to repair their satellites.
So there's a swift...
There's a SWIFT, there's a satellite up there called SWIFT that is, it's used as, it's the SWIFT observatory.
It's a, it's a satellite that's in orbit, and it observes and studies gamma ray bursts and black holes and supernovae.
And it's called SWIFT, I think, it could be an acronym, but I know part of the thing that I think about is one of the things it does really, really well is that it can swiftly point to what it is that, um,
astronomers need to point it at to studies.
So gamma ray bursts are pretty short-lived.
Supernovae are not terribly long-lived,
but when they detect one,
they can point this at it really quickly.
The problem is this thing was launched
22 years ago. It was only supposed to last for two years.
This happens a lot, doesn't it? Like with the rovers and stuff?
Yeah, well, when you're planning stuff to go into space
and use as a scientific instrument,
you really only plan for it to last a short
time because, you know, because it's a lot better for it to be, you to be happily surprised that it lasted
a lot longer. It's expensive to send things up there. Right. But this one's lasted 22 years and it's
still going, but there's a problem. It doesn't have any propulsion of its own. It was launched and put
into orbit. And what that means is in order to maintain an orbit, you have to have propulsion
because things in orbit around the earth.
Yeah, the orbit slowly decay and get lower and lower.
A lot of that is because the atmosphere is a lot thicker than we think about it being.
It's just, while it may be really, really thin, it still exists up there.
And so it will cause very minuscule, almost undetectable amounts of drag,
but it does cause that to happen.
They were hoping it would last a little bit longer in orbit than it has right now,
but there's been a lot of solar activity recently,
which has caused it to decay in its orbit.
Okay.
And so, NASA is thinking, this satellite is really useful to us.
This solar, or this observatory that's up there is really useful to us.
We've gotten a lot of really good science out of it.
Could we like get it back up to its, to the height of orbit that it needs to be in?
And they commissioned, or not commissioned, but they got a couple of proposals from private companies to see if anybody would be able to come up with an idea to get up there and rescue this swift satellite.
And a company did.
And their whole plan was they were going to send a robot up into space to grab onto it and tow it back up into its high orbit.
And the problem is that this robot that they sent up also has failed.
Oh, no.
And so it's also orbiting and getting closer to the Earth as well.
Well, it's a pretty dramatic failure that happened.
So the company that went up there is, or that is sending something up there is called Catalyst Space Technologies.
There's small startup from Flagstaff, Arizona.
They're very new.
This is the first thing that they've ever done, actually.
but the contract that they were given by NASA was a $30 million contract
and they gave them under a year to design, build, test,
and launch this rescue mission for Swift.
The satellite they're rescuing.
Normally, it takes years to do something like this, right?
But this is going to be a robot that they're trying to send up there.
The other problem with the challenge with the Swift satellite
is that it wasn't designed for this to happen.
and it wasn't designed to ever be repaired or anything.
It was only supposed to last two years, right?
So there's no like...
Disposable kind of.
Yeah, yeah.
There's no docking mechanisms or anything like that.
So they had to design a, when I say a robot, I mean, like many spacecraft will go up and it's designed to dock with other spacecraft.
Sure.
This is not.
It's really kind of a robot.
They got, they got schematics of the Swift satellite, and they said, we're going to design something that can,
that can grab, like robotically with robotic hands,
grab onto this thing and pull it up into a higher orbit.
So they launched it, but the problem is that it started to spin out of control.
This spacecraft that they sent up is called Link.
And whenever you send something into orbit,
it will oftentimes lose connection with ground bases.
That's normal thing.
And so somehow on one of the times that it went out of contact with the ground, when it came back into contact, two of the three reaction wheels, basically was spinning out of control when it came into contact.
It was propelling like only had one, like a left foot was the only thing that was working.
So it was just walking in circles in space, basically, written in the atmosphere.
Exactly.
So these craft are equipped with what are called reaction wheels.
And you can just think of them as like heavy rings of stuff.
that spin around in order to create, like, you know, imagine if you have a ring and it's got a heavy weight on one part of the ring, if it spins, it's going to create like a wobble, right?
Sure, sure.
So that's what these reaction wheels do is they create an intentional wobble in order to direct without using thrusters to turn the, to turn the space.
It's supposed to be more accurate or efficient, or what's the...
It's more efficient. It uses magnets.
Okay.
So it uses electricity.
They have to have batteries on it, but it doesn't use thrusters.
Thrusters are a little bit more complicated because it's not just going to turn you, but it's also going to move you.
Right.
And it does have cold gas thrusters on there too, and some of its cold gas thrusters started acting up as well.
But two of the three reaction wheels, you have three reaction wheels, one for each axis that you want to turn it on.
And two of the three aren't working.
and some of the like I said cold gas thrusters aren't working and so this thing's spinning out of control
and when it's facing away from the earth at a certain point it loses connection so like it's got sporadic
connection with the earth so everyone's down on the ground right now trying to figure out how to rescue
this satellite because there is no opportunity the the swift satellite that they're trying to
rescue is by the end of this year has a 90% chance of just coming down so they don't have very long.
Yeah, no chilling.
There's no more time to build another one of these and send it back up.
So they're down here trying to figure out how can we fix this thing, get it lined back up and they think they can do it because it does have some, this is so Star Trek sounding.
It also has three xenon electric plasma thrusters on it.
Oh, my gosh.
Who's going to tell the captain they've all failed?
My gosh, that sounds hardcore.
Well, the xenon plasma thrusters are working,
and they're just not really intended to be used to orient the spacecraft,
but it can because they're on each of the three thrusters are on gimbals,
so they can move them,
and they can use it to stop the spin.
But the thing is...
It's the most Jordy Laforge Act 3 of the next generation thing, right?
Like, well, it's going to crash into the planet.
Wait, if we orient the xenon plasma thrusters to point directly at the planet,
we might be able to get it to ricochet around the...
Yeah, but the problem is, this is such a dramatic story, you're right.
Yeah, yeah.
The problem is that these xenon thrusters are...
they're designed to raise the orbit of the, like they were going to use them when they attached it.
After this thing grabs Swift, this was what was going to put them in the next.
Yeah, and the reason that that's important, because you might be thinking, well, okay, they're just thrusters, right?
They can be used.
Well, first of all, they take fuel, so you're worried about that.
Second, though, and the bigger problem is that the impulse on these thrusters is really low.
And what that means is that they're, or I'm sorry, the impulse is high, but the thrust.
itself is low. And what that means without going into the math of it is basically just it doesn't
have a lot of oomph, but in a short period of time, but over time, they're very efficient.
So it pushes really slowly. And that's great if all you're trying to do is raise the orbit.
Yeah, once you've got the thing just to get up to another orbit, but they still need to get to the
swift. They still need to get it. Yeah, they still need to rendezvous with it. And,
more importantly right now, they need to stop it from spinning out of control.
Because it's still spinning, sure.
So what's the danger if it's, is it going to run into other satellites?
Like, smash into the- No, it just can't do its job.
Just can't do what it needs to do.
Just $30 million flailing around in the sky.
Yeah, but more than that, the Swift satellite.
Like, again, they've got a few months to figure this out, right?
Oh, before that thing's toast.
I mean, look at this.
One of the things that showed people were these gamma rays that we're getting.
there's a shot of it, like, detected by the thing.
I always thought Gamma Rays are green
because I watched the Hulk as a kid, but whatever.
Like, it seems like they're getting really incredible data out of this thing,
so I get why they don't want to lose this thing.
Well, that's why they want to keep it.
And it's a lot cheaper.
30 million sounds like a lot,
but it's a lot cheaper to spend $30 million on this rescue mission
than it would have been to build, design and build
and launch a whole new satellite to do the same sort of science.
No doubt, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And so they're using the plasma thrusters right now.
As we speak, they're using them to try to slow the spin.
They've gotten the spin was at like nine degrees.
It was spinning like nine degrees per second out of control.
They've slowed that down to four degrees per second.
So they're getting it done.
And they're really hoping and optimistic that if they can stop the spin,
they can use these plasma thrusters to get.
it back into a rendezvous trajectory with the Swift, then they can grab onto it and move it back up.
Because they have a lot of altitude that they have to gain with this thing.
It was its original orbit, its operating orbit that they wanted it to be in was 600 kilometers.
That's like 370 something miles over the Earth, 600 kilometers.
And right now it has come down to about 350 kilometers.
So they've got a lot of altitude they need to raise it to get it back up to the orbit they want it to be in.
Is that called the, what's the, like when you've, you've, you've leveled out the gravity so it won't ever get any closer, but it won't go any further.
The vertical, not vertical limit, the, the, the, the, phantasmus.
Apogy and perigy.
That's it, that's it.
Yeah, is that what it's called?
Yeah, okay.
where basically it refers to the highest point in an orbit
and paragy refers to the lowest point in an orbit
gotcha. Apagy software games or whatever they were called.
That's why they named themselves that.
I thought I was a fake made up word.
Nope. Apagy is the highest point in orbit.
I think Lagrange point is the phrase I was thinking.
Yeah, so a Lagrange point, a Lagrange point.
Invented by Zizi Top by the way, which was great.
But it was only Frank Beard, right, the drummer, one without a beard.
Yes.
Yeah.
Before they started playing music.
they were orbital engineers.
You imagine?
I mean, they were in Texas.
They're right by as the Johnson Space Center.
It's all fine.
But no, a Lagrange point is, yeah, it's a stable,
it's a specific spot in place between two gravitational bodies,
where the force between them is equaled out in such a way that it won't move.
Anything in that point in space doesn't move.
It stays in there.
Like the spaceship in 2010, the year we make contact or whatever it was, yeah.
Yeah.
Right, right, right.
That makes sense.
So, yeah, they're hoping to be able to get it done by putting it into orbit.
They want it to be in orbit because they can transmit data differently.
It can be around different points and everything.
And so they can point it at things.
And it's just...
So if this fails, now we've got two things that are going to come crashing down to Earth at some point.
Yeah, but things, quite honestly, things crash down to Earth all the time.
Yeah.
It's usually the ocean, but yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
So you also said another word.
I learned something new today.
Yeah.
You called the soup.
So I know what a supernova is, but you called them supernovae.
Is that the plural for?
Supernovae.
Or novi, sorry.
Supernovae is plural for like.
Yeah, but all you do, yes, that's correct.
It's plural for supernovae.
Yeah, it is a better novi.
Yeah, it's a better.
Novi.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But all you do is add an E to the end of Supernova, so it's an A-E at the end.
All right, I like that.
I always thought that was Novi is how you'd say it.
But what do I know?
I think it might be one of those words that has like multiple acceptable pronunciations, if I'm being honest.
Well, I just like to say supernovae because I think it sounds cool.
Yeah, it's fun.
Yeah.
Like a supernovae in the sky.
Or it's like, you know, that star looks a little supernovae to me.
Yeah.
I don't think I trust it.
Yeah.
A little too supernovae.
A little two supernovae.
Well, this is interesting.
And we're going to know if efforts to rectify all of this happens when.
Like you say we've only got a few months, you said?
By the end of the year, we'll know for sure, probably within a month or two.
Maybe by the next, I mean, I might be talking about this again the next time I'm on the show.
All right.
Well, if it misses, could we use that same robot to, I don't know, get a convertible out of
orbit and just set it off into the sun.
Yeah, that'd be all right?
He was exting, whatever that's called.
Sure.
About that recently.
Teserate Dynamite says all the gold on Earth was made from supernovae or from supernovas.
Is that true?
Yeah, that's true.
Well, yeah, at the beginning, most of what is in the universe is made, was made out of hydrogen
and helium, and stars took that hydrogen and helium.
and fused it into all the heavier elements that are in the galaxy.
I mean, I guess we're all made of the stuff of the universe,
so it's not that unusual of the concept,
but I didn't realize there was like a direct tie to another thing we have a name for.
Yeah.
That's the whole point of when you hear people say that we're all, you know,
made out of stardust.
It's quite literal.
Yeah, it's true, right?
But like, so if you wanted to get rich on gold, here's what you do.
You find out where all the supernovae are.
where they're all hanging out.
Yeah.
And then it's just gold for days, man.
Yeah.
Set up a basket.
That's why I do that all the time in no man's sky.
I'm like, all right.
Where's the supernovae?
I need more.
Where's the supernovae?
I need more.
And sodium.
Park your big ship outside of it.
That's right.
You got to make sure you have that stellar collector upgrade.
But only you should know about it because if you don't know about it or if you, if everyone
knows about the gold, then gold's not valuable anymore.
Right.
Right.
The whole idea is that it's rare, right?
So.
Did you ever play that?
game and do the spend um like 30 minutes to an hour just like cycling through all like five five six different
star systems and selling one system after another oh hell yeah no I know I probably should I did all that's the
quick way to make that's the cheat way to make money yeah I'm in max like crazy earn money early on in that
game um and then I played a run that was creative like you just do whatever you want nothing cost nothing
just so I could learn some of the new systems that were coming out oh that's smart yeah yeah the only
problem of that is you get
lazy so the next time you play a
real run you're like ah shit
this is too hard my car
ship's going to cost a lot of money if I want to
put those upgrades on it anyway
I'm due for another
astronaut run too damn it damn it
they got a new game coming out they do
and and DLC for
Astroneer too like there's a couple
things coming from
system era software they're making a new game
and DLCing the old one
yeah dude yeah let me see
I can tell you what it's called.
Star Seeker.
Oh, that's the add-on to...
That's the Astro-E Expeditions thing, right?
And then the other game...
What's the other one?
Or is that?
Oh.
Stop talking about these games.
Maybe they combined them.
I don't know what they did.
Oh, maybe.
They may have combined the names,
and the new game is the Star Seeker,
but it's like an Astroneer.
It's in the universe to help them, you know...
That's their multiplayer thing,
you know, the Star Seeker deal.
which I don't care. I don't want to play.
I don't want to play Astridor with other people.
Yeah, I just want to play by myself.
I mean, it'll let you play it by yourself.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's how I'm doing it.
We don't even play multiplayer anymore.
I know.
Who are they?
What's that for?
Speaking of which, we have a new instance coming out on the, what's the year of the day?
We like, we like MMOs.
Speaking of MMOs.
Yeah, speaking of MMOs.
Honestly, I play a lot of solo in an MMO, so it's not that different.
But yeah, we've got some stuff coming up.
Watch for a teaser coming soon as we get close to.
the big patch coming in August.
So what was that the 14th?
If you missed the instance, we got you.
Yeah, miss it no longer.
Bobby, always good to have you here.
Tell people about your science show so they can go get some more science in the meantime.
It's called All Around Science.
Science is in the name to make it easier for you to know what it's about.
It's a good idea, by the way.
I like that.
Yeah, you should do that.
It's me and my co-host, Mora, talking about science news that we're interested in.
this episode that just came out today,
it's about dolphins and orcas,
different things that we learned about them.
Here's the reason you want to listen to it.
Apparently, there are some orcas
that have been found turning big giant sunfish
into pinatas, literally charging under them
and causing them to explode.
Oh, God, really?
What the heck?
This is not an exaggeration either.
What I just said to you is exactly what's happening.
That's dark.
And do they eat the
candy that comes out of them.
Yes, they do.
Yeah, that's the whole.
Well, you can't know exactly what the purpose is, of course,
but it seems to be that's what they're doing.
Yeah, what is the purpose of all of this?
Fantastic stuff, as always, Bobby.
Nothing but pleasure having you on.
Thanks for hanging out with us.
And between now and next time we speak,
may all the science come your way or something.
Bye now.
All right.
Nicely done.
Excellent.
We're going to play, we're going to play an email.
We're going to read an email.
This is about the jugs of paint.
Playing emails. This one's from B.C. Clark. No, sorry, B. Clark. Or maybe it's B.C. Lark. I don't know.
The way it's written is it's all together, so I don't know.
Sure.
He says this.
Hello, Scott and Brian.
Not sure if this is worthy of reading on the show, but feel free to do so if you want.
I recently upgraded to five gigabit symmetric fiber.
You've mentioned previously about complex methods to watch media.
If I wanted to share my complex methods with you, what are your complex usernames?
I search for the users frog pants in Coverville, which do seem to exist, but wasn't sure if those were the real deal.
I think those are the real deal
Those I think are the real deal
I'm double checking because
I might also be using
Bibbit B-I-B-B-B-O-T-T
because maybe I have problems with
Nope, I'm using Coverville.
Good.
Let me double check for them too
because I think it is Frog Pants.
I think it's steam that I have
both a Coverville and a Bibbitt account
and I need to just combine them.
There it is.
Frog Pants for me.
So yours is Bibbitt?
No, mine's Coverville.
Here's is Coverville.
Okay.
Mine is Coverville and Bitton. Keep saying Bibbitt. Coverville and Frog Pants. Those are right.
So I would say do the most complex thing you can think of by adding those username and we'll accept them.
Yeah, absolutely. C.C. wrote in and says, well, actually, Mrs. Fields, this is a claim I made the other day.
Mrs. Fields of Cookie Fame, origin story is not a Utah thing. She began her business in my hometown of Palo Alto, California.
True. You're absolutely right. I had it wrong. I thought she started here.
but here's where that got confusing and why I thought that.
Mrs. Fields, aka Debbie Fields, does not currently live in Utah,
but she previously lived here, notably at Park City or near Park City,
where she and her former husband built a large ranch and established the company's headquarters in the early 80s.
So Mrs. Fields, like, proper, was headquartered in essentially Park City.
It was a little outside of it.
All throughout the 80s.
She then sold the Utah property in 2011.
She remarried somebody in 97.
She lived in Memphis, Tennessee for 16 years, then later moved to Nashville.
The Mrs. Fields corporate headquarters also moved away from Utah to Denver, Colorado in 2012.
Wow.
So when they sold the property and bailed, they moved right over to you guys that next year.
Excellent.
Well, I'll have to go out today and go get myself a crumble cookie just to stick it to Mrs. Fields.
Man.
Those chocolate ones sound so good right now.
They're so damn good.
I know.
Yeah.
I can't do it.
Can't bring myself to do it.
I still kind of have tender guts after the freaking
bullshit.
Take advantage of those tender guts as a good weight loss
experience.
Oh, for sure.
And they were, you know, for those wondering about the record,
it still holds, nobody barfed.
It was just a lower intestinal business.
A metaphobia is still intact.
Oh, yeah.
Still hanging on for dear life.
Let's see.
Is that it?
I think that's it.
That's it for our show today.
Thank you for listening, everybody.

Big thanks for all the suggestions coming in on what to do with the 24-hour stream of repeats.
I'm working on some stuff there.
I had a run for 24 hours yesterday without a hitch.
That seemed to kind of prove out the tech.
So now I just got to decide what the content looks like.
So I will keep you all informed as to what I end up doing.
Brian, let's get out of here.
Do you have a song maybe today or something?
Oh, my gosh.
Of course I do.
Thank goodness.
Eric Austin Lee wrote in and said,
Dear Cover Master Brian,
my wife and I have seen the Indigo Girls 20 times
over the last 25 years before and after we were married.
This year we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in May.
I would be delighted if you would find a non-metal, L.O.L.
cover of an Indigo Girl song that isn't closer to find.
Yeah, it seems to be the one everybody covers.
Preferably the Wood Song.
if you could find one, but if you could not find, no, he says, preferably the Wood song,
if you could find one, there we go.
But any other one would do August 3rd is my wife's birthday.
Many thanks, Eric Austin Lee.
For first off, happy birthday to your wife.
Yeah.
There's a song called Wood that they make?
The Wood Song.
Oh, the Wood Song.
Yeah.
Okay.
And, yeah, I've been a big fan of them for years as well.
As a matter of fact, got in trouble for leaving work on the release day.
of what's the one that's got
it's got a
it's not astronauts
and heretics but it's an album cover that's got like
it's a title that's like
this and this and it's got the two of them
side by sat on the cover with like a red background
and they've got
tribal makeup on or something like that
that's really familiar to me
yeah I don't know the name but
yeah got in trouble for leaving
when the record store opened up
to go get my CD
it's not boots and hats
thank you monica
anyway
and hats and boots and hats
I would love to hear
an ego girl's cover of that song
they do a great cover by the way
of Romeo and Juliet
by dire straits it's excellent
oh cool
uh anywho
let's play this cover right here
this is a cover of the wood song
I found one there's just one out there
but it's really good so thank goodness for that
it also seems like everybody
like it's a lot of
acapella and this one's not
acapella anyway
here's the wood song
It features Chuck Harget on vocals.
It's Matt Moran from his 2016 album, Awakening.
The thin horizon of a plan is almost clear.
My friends and I have had a tough time losing our brains.
Heart up against change.
All the old dogs and the magician.
Now I see we're in the boat in two by twos.
Only the heart that we have for two
We could use
And the very close quarters
Are hard to get used to
Love weighs the hole down with its way
But it's time
We'll make it farther
The whole
That's where I need to go
Construction of this trick
Watching closely
Bridge I can muster up inside
But we'll get to have some answers
When we reach the other side
Where's worth the wrong times I ask to sneak a closer look
To skip to the final chapter of the book
From some of the pain near to get us where we are this
Hey welcome for the other episode of T.M.
Squeeze it out of the quail.
Suck it out with your legs.
Here's the thing.
Oh God, don't do that.
I'm not here by King of the Hill reruns.
They make you happy. Bobby.
Bobby.
Dammit.
Blue-in.
Does it come poop.
Hey, look at me.
I'm half naked.
You make your CPAC, CPAPs payments.
What is it?
C-PAC, pap smear.
What is it?
No.
No.
Do snakes fart?
No.
I mean, yes.
No.
Pizza.
No, I can't.
Look.
I'm over 72.
But accidentally touch prep boy penis.
Accidental penis is the worst.
Nobody wants accidental penis.
Choose your job.
Choose your living.
Choose your underwear.
Choose your Taco Bell.
Choose your coffee.
choose life.
Oh my gosh.
You're making me want to stand tall and walk high.
Deluxe extreme.
Mega double-decker.
Chalupa sandwich.
Yeah.
Right.
It's always got a wrap again.
You've got to get in there and see what the stink is all about.
Oh, no, I'm getting a little cheese on the back end.
There's no way we'll ever hear that in the mashup.
No, that'll never come up again.
You get phone, worn panties, and a chaco pie.
I'm going to be on his thing when I get home sometime.
We've talked about that.
Hello.
No way we'll ever hear that in the mashup again.
I can't say anything today, can I?
Honestly, it's all busted in my head today.
I got this by a diabolical weiner.
There you go.
One soil swims right next to us,
even an octopus in his mouth,
pops right up off the surface next to us,
and then tries to chew up the league,
but ended up slapping our face.
I love that he's...
I know, I can't even then.
I veered off into some weird Irish pirate.
Yeah.
Weird Irish pirate.
That's a great, great band name.
Thanks for listening.
