Starting point is 00:00:00 Did you know that Bruce Wayne was originally named Rex Tyler? It's true. Anyway, support TMS today at patreon.com slash TMS, or you'll make the Joker happy. And that would be bad for everyone. Coming up on the morning stream, my favorite dog breed is cat. We've got worms.
Starting point is 00:00:16 I don't like that triangle lip fie. Hanging at the ping beagle with Dunaway. Just rub Vicks on it. Gleap. Nice. Palindromic baseball records. Flick the turd. Going full yen.
Starting point is 00:00:28 You can go your sub. way. Talk like you got some sense day. Flying fast as a concord right into failure. Waste high Herbie. Two plump in the middle. Mostly Husky with Tom and more on this episode of the Morning Stream. How'd you like some fresh beef?
Starting point is 00:00:43 We haven't had us! I like Dong. The Morning Stream. The morning stream. Raw meat. Do you like raw meat? A bit of a theme today. Didn't actually mean to do that with the Fletcher.
Starting point is 00:01:11 That was an accident. Hey, everybody. It's the morning stream. It's TMS. It's Wednesday, September 16th, 20206. I'm Scott Johnson with Brian. Hello, Brian. Hello.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Hey, man. Hey, man. Hey, man. Yeah, look, it's a hump day. We got to hump it. Let's hump it. Everybody get on. Give it a hump.
Starting point is 00:01:30 You know. A humpty hump. Yeah. We did our trivia again last night. Oh, I was going to check the, the substact. thing this morning. I did not, but I will do it after the show. But yeah, we went to our trivia, so week four, I think, of the six-week league, and we won, again, beat the Jack Rabbit Slims team. Take that jerks. Love that name. Yeah. Great name. Yeah, they're fun. They're never
Starting point is 00:01:57 come over and say hi, or they never, you know, I clap for them when they, when it reveals their score at the end. They don't clap for us. You think that's a, that's a thing they do as a, as a technique to keep the game face or something? I don't know. I think they're just poor losers. Yeah, there's only two of them, too. It's just a couple. So, I mean, they're really good. They, you know, they give us a
Starting point is 00:02:18 run for our money. It's like staying within you know, a few thousand points, 10,000 points of us. That's great. And only two weeks left. That's crazy. Only two weeks left. And they have not updated our scores yet as far as, let's
Starting point is 00:02:35 see if let's see if that's changed this morning because now there are two days of this is a guy whose job is definitely got AI coming after it whoever's supposed to no kidding exactly yes he needs to get on it yeah still has not updated our oh funny they've got our score from last night they don't have our score from last week oh they skipped a week oops they skipped a week that's all right we've got it documented we've got on record so all right but your head as far as well we're we're in we're uh on their chart we're in fourth place but if they'd accounted those those things they were they'd be higher we'd be in third yeah we'd be in third if they uh were up to date we might even be in second i don't know if the nomads it's funny because now they don't have the
Starting point is 00:03:26 it's really weird like the the the scores they have in here it's great that they have last Last night, that was quick. That's the quickest it's ever been that they've put it into the form. But... Must it just forgot or something. I guess. Good news is I have it documented. So I know what our score was, so I could...
Starting point is 00:03:45 If I need to, I can email them a screenshot because I took a screenshot. Do you want to... Do you want a little test? See how you did with the final question from last night? Yeah, I love these. Let's do it. Okay. Let's open up.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Oh, good. I can open it up in photos. If my answer is all going to be this, though. Every time. Yeah. All right. The category is the words of Victor Hugo. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Okay. That's your category. That's a little bit of a hint. The answer is, this object, quote, is the ultimate expression of law and its name is vengeance. It is not neutral, nor does allow us to remain neutral. 30 seconds. I don't know. What is something he told in the...
Starting point is 00:04:37 the less miserables play. I don't know. There was one of these in Laemoisraub. It's a guillotine is what we're looking for. Geotene. Yeah. I got to figure that out. We doubled our 162,000
Starting point is 00:04:51 point score and ended up with 324,000. Did they not get that last one? They did. Oh, they did. They were, they ended up, God, I think what did they end up at? Oh, I guess it's still actually up on the page. it's just funny that last night's score they've got they ended up with 265,600 so we beat them by like 60,000
Starting point is 00:05:16 man they really they went full yen with this point system it's just like so many numbers well here's the thing like it it's scored the same as this is if you were just a perfect player at jeopardy yeah like the the the alex trebek jeopardy or the ken jennings jeopardy and you answer every question and you daily doubled and went all in this is roughly how many points how many dollars you would have at the end of one game but you'd have to you'd have to correctly answer every question and you'd have to get all of the because this is how we play we get all the top rows cleared out first before we go to the bottom two rows because we want as much as many points as we can
Starting point is 00:05:58 have before we hit the daily doubles right so that we can double that the bigger numbers right yeah exactly so Wow. You guys have strats for all of it. I love that. We do. Yeah, it's, and then we figure out which, which category we're least, uh, least strong at. And then we take care of that one first. So we've got, you know, other questions to make up for it if we, if we screwed up. Nice. Well, if there was any reason why you guys were hungry and you needed something that was less than 15 minutes away. Uh-huh. Nice segue. This is as good as I got today. Yeah. Scooby geek. wrote in about the sandwich thing again. He starts it with this.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Hey, soapapia and bignet. This will be my, this will be my final submission regarding the sandwich facts, he says. So this is it. No more of these, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:06:50 I actually really like these. So I hope it's not his last. He says, yes, I misspoke when I said all U.S. households are within 15 minutes of a subway. I was quoting what was, what was said to me by subway during that interview.
Starting point is 00:07:02 You can't trust them. No, but, but, but, but, something to that effect. So I feel like that, you know, that Subway has either spread that propaganda far and wide or somebody else has repeated it.
Starting point is 00:07:17 I mean, these people put, the people put freaking, you know. Yoga mat in their brand. Yeah. Yeah. If you worked for them, you'd be yoga geek. That's how it worked. He says, as a keen listener, or as a keen listener called me out with specific examples proving that statistic was invalid, I felt the need to provide the accurate statistic. Therefore, I create a 15-minute drive time around each of the 19,736 open U.S. subway locations I have in my database. Within those drive times, there are 100,016, $100,00016,000. No, 116,000, 285. No, that would be 116,285,446 unique households.
Starting point is 00:08:00 The quarter for 2025 estimate households in the U.S. is 130 million, 525,524,000. 5,690. Therefore, the correct accurate estimate is 88.4% of all households are within 15 minutes of subway. That is all scuba geek. You know, that math's still pretty convincing. That's still pretty close. Still pretty sad, too. 88.4% of all U.S. households are within 15 minutes of a subway.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Yeah. I mean, Subway, honestly, at this point, they'll do anything to try to make people forget the Jared stuff. So they'll make up anything. Everything's within five minutes of the house. What about Jared? Let's not talk about Jared. Let's talk about that foam we put in our food. Right, exactly.
Starting point is 00:08:41 I can see an executive saying, all right, if we put a subway here, that'll actually give us 10,000 more households. Let's see. If we put a subway here, just looking at, you know, these numbers. They could how they work. They could dink with it. They could dink with it. And we know they're capable of such things.
Starting point is 00:09:01 So, I hope that's not your last thing about sandwiches. If we have some sandwich thing come up, we're looking to you to, you know, pipe in. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there we go. Yeah, don't die on that vine, buddy. Or he will. Yes, he will. He will. Or this guy will.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Really? Yeah. Isn't that a problem? Yoga mat actually contains 53% of the U.S. daily requirement for vitamin D. Do you want us to save you this rogue kill? That's yes. and his speaking, yes. I think the question is,
Starting point is 00:09:36 are you going to finish that roadkill? Yeah, and his answer is, really? Even did a little, at the end, like he was done somehow. Right, smack in his lips, though.
Starting point is 00:09:48 All right, guys, let's get a game going. We got to compete. Yeah, yeah, you do. We got to compete. So here's how that's going to work right here. Welcome to the program, one Brian Dunaway,
Starting point is 00:10:05 who will do the competing. Hello, Brian. Oh, hi Scott and Brian. Hey, man. Oh, hello. Hey. Hey, what's going on with you? What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:10:13 You work? You're work. Yeah, I've been spent the last couple of days boning up on my how to annoy your friends by talking like a pirate day on Friday. Oh, yeah. Is that Friday? It is that Friday? Are we all excited about that? It seems like, is that Friday?
Starting point is 00:10:27 I'm calling out sick from the internet. What's funny is, I feel like in recent years, people are less prone to do it. Like, I just don't see it everywhere. because we're not, we're less of a community worldwide. And now we're just everyone hates each other and yells at each other. So it's not, that's not true. We can't rally around the talk like a pirate day like we used to. Yeah, like just, I just mean in like stranger circles.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Like if you go back to 2008, Twitter was full of that on Talk Like a Pirate Day. And it may have annoyed me, but at least everybody was kind of in on it. And it was kind of nice and everything. And that doesn't happen anymore. Like that. Well, maybe we should push like Talk Like a. other things day like talk like a wookie day no that'd be fun no no no bad idea yeah we talk
Starting point is 00:11:12 don't don't talk anybody into it yeah don't do it because they'll come up with like wookie Wednesday or some shitty name and it'll talk like Yoda day it'd be everything from Star Wars yeah yeah how about don't talk like an idiot on on Twitter day is there oh I like that idea do we do that oh my gosh I don't think it'll work like you got some sense day I like that oh I like that
Starting point is 00:11:32 oh yes interesting it's gonna be really hard to enforce though That's the problem. Well, we're going to play a game and see if we can enforce those rules. Brian Ibbott here will explain to Brian Dunaway and myself how it works. Let me explain and pay attention because this is very important. It's time to play the tadpooly feud. I've surveyed the tadpull on so nerdy topics.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Scott and Brian are going to predict the answers that they gave us. It is their job to see how many of those answers they can guess. One, two, three, maybe 10. I don't know. At the end of the game, we're going to add up all the points and the winner will actually be winning prizes for their listener, contestant and contestants will be pulled from our supporters on Patreon
Starting point is 00:12:09 at patreon.com slash TMS. I said that like it's happening in the future. No, it's already happened. Scott is playing for Bob Finnegan. Yeah, Bob, me and you, buddy. Postal worker extraordinaire, if I'm remembering correctly. I think that's one of them anyway, right? Yep. Yep. And Brian is playing
Starting point is 00:12:25 for Andrew Lee. Andrew Lee. Andrew Lee. Actually, my two first name. It could be it could be an adverb. It could be an adverb. Andrewly. And truly. I like that. All right. Perfect. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:12:36 I had some chicken last night. It was a little andrewley. Yeah, I left a little, I made this sound. Really? I swear to God, I will laugh every time you play that thing. I cannot, I cannot not laugh at that. It's amazing. He gave us a real gift, so we're grateful to Mr. RFK Jr. today.
Starting point is 00:12:55 For nothing else but that, that's it. Keeps on given. All right, put your hands on your buzzers and give me your best answer to this. We ask 455 tadpoolers. What is your? favorite dog breed Scott German Shepherd show me German Shepherd Wow answer on the board five answers will beat it Brian 80s answer you know it really is and this is tough all right I guess need to get into it
Starting point is 00:13:24 all right I get first dance supposed to be fast right a Chihuahua everybody loves it a Chihuahua do they okay all right yeah Are you serious? I'm not even going to do the show me chihuah. I thought it at least be on the board. I thought it would be like number four or five. Those annoying most people, those dogs. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 00:13:47 It did make it to number 21. And we, you know, we, we, we love our listeners and have chihuahuas. But out of all of the breeds of dogs, the chihuahua couldn't even make it into the top 10. Not even into the top 20. No. Holy smokes. All right. You're just, you're still, you're thinking, we don't like pocket dogs is the problem.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah. Well, that's what you like about them. You're still, look, I think you're just still Taco Bell 90s guy in your head. Yeah, that's actually probably it, right? Yeah. It was, it was the first dog that came to mind when you asked dog brief. Actually, that's not true. Pit bull came to mind first and said, nah.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Yeah. I mean, I've loved every pit I ever saw, but. Listen, yeah, yeah. Worldwide. All right. Anyway, I'm going to go. Scott, you've got control and six points to start with. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:33 I'm going to go with, let's get the golden retriever out of there. Let's get that out of the way. Yeah. Usually named Tanner. I think we've got two golden retrievers in the neighborhood named Tanner. And they both have bandanas that they wear around their necks. It's really cute. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:51 They're both in charge of their guild raid runs and everything. They're not as cool as our Tanner. I'll tell you that. He's the most golden of all retrievers. That's right. But I do need to get them a bandana. Anyway, show me golden retriever. Oh, not number one.
Starting point is 00:15:07 Weird. Not number one. Okay, that's interesting. Yeah. Yeah. I got it. I got it. Well, good.
Starting point is 00:15:14 It's not your turn. Shut up, bibit. Can I, I got a question for the judges. Is something in the vein of a common crossover? Like if crossbreeds are okay? Cross breeds are okay. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:33 All right. Because I know one of the most popular dogs right now may not be on this list because I just, I don't think the tadpool is made up of a lot of people who think they're overbred. And I would agree that they are. And that's kind of got ethical issues. But I'm going to say, we'll try it. We'll say the golden doodle. Sure. So you're all about the golden stuff.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Yeah. My sister-in-law breeds them and makes a lot of money on them. Oh, I got you. All right. Show me golden doodle. muggles muggles muggled dog
Starting point is 00:16:04 let's see golden doodle was on here where is it it's low surprising there it is number 36 golden douges
Starting point is 00:16:14 get low get low I think they're huge in sales but maybe not so much in the minds of people I don't know yeah all right if my dog is listening
Starting point is 00:16:24 I better say that breed after I embarrassed myself the chihuahua us. So I'm going to say Husky, even though German Shepherds are, he's a German Husky mix. So I'm just going to say, yeah, I'm going to say Husky. All right. So Husky.
Starting point is 00:16:39 We had a German Shepherd Husky mix ourselves named Meg when I was growing up. Oh, sweet. Nico is very loyal. Oh, really cool. Very loyal. Husky. Husky mixes are the sweetest, most loyal freaking dogs, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Let me tell you something also. Let me tell you something. Dumb is dirt, but also smart is anything. The German Shepherd half. Very smart. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm like, I'll be doing the same thing over and over again. I'll be walking down like, you know, like the hall or something.
Starting point is 00:17:07 I'm like, you see me walk by here like 20 times and you act like, I'm doing this for the first time. But then if you step out of the room, it's like, you leave and you come back in, he's like sewn a sweater or something. He's like, he's the sneakiest little thing. Oh, that's funny. Does he bark like, woo, woo, woo. Yeah, he's a talker. He's a talker. He's a talker.
Starting point is 00:17:27 All right. show me husky yeah fifth answer number five my favorite clothing size in high school my favorite shitty bike my parents bought me
Starting point is 00:17:40 for Christmas that's a huffy oh Huffy you're right my favorite brand of tools there you go yeah yeah I always will all right how about we go
Starting point is 00:17:51 with the dogs that I've had growing up sure um um now people don't like No, that one sucked.
Starting point is 00:18:01 People don't like. I want some points. I'm going to say poodle. All right. Did you put, did you just time me? Did you just time me? He did. He started it.
Starting point is 00:18:12 But you got it in the timer. You got it. Yeah, you said poodle just as I started the timer. All right. Show me. Poodle. Oh my dog. No, a lot of people, though, the people who did pick Poodle number 27 in the list.
Starting point is 00:18:25 One of them said, only the true poodle. Yeah, yeah, the big, the big, not the miniature poodles, the mini poodle. Exactly. The full ones are the sweetest ones. And they don't shed like regular dogs. Right, right. Yeah, they're not bad that way.
Starting point is 00:18:39 They look weird and you shave them, though. You've got to take care of their junk all the time. Yeah, and you got to make their heads a perfect sphere, apparently. Yeah, is what you name. Not my favorite thing in the world. All right. All right. I'm going to say, terrible.
Starting point is 00:18:51 No, no, no. Well, you have five points to Scott's aid. Yeah. Yeah. We're on the board. here. I'm going to say the chat would have been pretty fond of, you know, like rescued mutts.
Starting point is 00:19:02 So I'm going to say just a just a, you know, a mutt. A mutt. Sure. Sure. But that's number one. Half of my one of my favorite comic strips growing up was mutt. Mutton Jeff. Yeah, Mutton Jeff. Show me mutt.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Yeah. Number three. I thought that would be one. Hmm. No. Still one more dog-breathing. that people like more than any of the others. Labradors and retrievers aren't the same. You're just like labra. Scootel.
Starting point is 00:19:37 No, I wasn't going to say that. But like, because I had a dog that was a cock of shitsapoo, but we're not doing that today. We're going to do that today. The golden retriever and golden or Labrador retriever, that's not the same animal, is it? No, it's a different animal. Well, I'm doing that.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Let's do the Labrador of some sort. I was going to laugh when you said Labradors and retrievers aren't the same animal. Well, tell that to Labrador Retrievers. Yeah, okay, show me Labrador Retrievers. Number one answer. Yeah, because you have your chocolate labs,
Starting point is 00:20:10 your black labs, your yellow labs. Yeah, the golden, the golden, and there are golden labs, and there are golden retrievers, which are not the same dog. Not the same thing. Yeah, longer hair on the golden retriever than on a golden lab. All right, he peed a lot, but we really liked my neighbor's beagle.
Starting point is 00:20:26 So let's try a beagle. Oh, beagles are great. Until his little yellow bird friend flew away and then he got really sad. Snoopy's supposed to be a beagle, but come on. Yeah. Was there a more horrible sound and like tore your soul out as a kid than Snoopy crying in those old peanuts cartoons?
Starting point is 00:20:45 There's only one sound I can think that's worse. Really? Okay, you're right. Yeah, I can argue with that. All right. Show me a peeing beagle. Nice. Good points.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Chrisie, Janet, I'm going to go head down to the peeing beagle. Oh, that is hilarious. Regal Beagle. That was what a place called, right? That's it. Yeah. We got a place in Denver called the, we got a place in Denver called the Brutle Poodle.
Starting point is 00:21:10 And I can't think of the Bruttle. I can't think of the Bruttle without thinking about the Regal Beagle. What kind of, they got a cool logo, like a pissed off looking. It is. It's, it's a heavy metal, like a hair metal. 80s hair metal bar.
Starting point is 00:21:24 And the food is awesome. They get these incredible burgers and waffle fries. And the decor is like, you know, if Gene Simmons was a poodle, like the makeup and then this other. I just got one question. Are there free hairnets for all? Yes. Yes. Everybody gets a free hair net.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Last time we were there on the four TVs that I could see from where I was sitting, one of the Broncos preseason games was on one screen. Lord of the Rings was on another one. The Martian was on another one. Like it was like all nerdy stuff except for the football game. Oh, love it. All right. I'm feeling,
Starting point is 00:22:02 I'm feeling a little bit of pull toward the, the pug. Oh, I love a punter's so cute, but man. They're adorable, but they're medical, they're kind of a medical pain. They're not as bad as Bulldogs, full on a bulldogs are really medical issues. They live like seven years.
Starting point is 00:22:19 They're just a mess. But I'm going to say, it's like, Why am I alive? Let's do a pug. Yeah. Yeah. Show me your pug.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Oh, gross. Number 11. Why would you say it like that? Oh, Jack Russell tied with it? Jack Russell tied with pugs at seven votes each. So that was your number 11. You get another guess, but you don't get any points for that. There are any other dog names that have got a dude's name in it, you know, like Jack Russell?
Starting point is 00:22:42 Like we got any more of those like Phil Harris. Give us some. Yeah. Give us some. Shepherd. Give us some guesses. Give us some more dog names. on the board.
Starting point is 00:22:53 No. He's not going to do that. Okay. Oh, man, I'm getting in weird territory here. How about a doxon, like one of those weird looking doxon dogs? A we sausage dogs. Yeah. Awee dog.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Yeah. People like those. Show me. Doxon. Dots sound. Nice job. I think you've mathematically won the game. Wait, is that two German dogs in a row?
Starting point is 00:23:16 It is. Yep. Yep. And then you get to beagles, which sound Canadian. I know they're not. That's right. So Scott, 27 points. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Brian has five plus 19 plus four is 23. Oh, you could still win if Scott whiffs on this one and you get the last three yourself. Take that, Johnson. All right. Boxer. Oh, that's a good one. That's a good one. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:23:42 This might be it. This might be all. Show me your cute little black and white boxer. Oh. All right, Brian. You're your task. is set before you. Shit.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Everybody likes them little short-legged corgi things. That's my friend's dog. He loves that thing. People do love their corgis. I look at them and get annoyed, but I hear that they're wonderful little pets.
Starting point is 00:24:08 The queen's fond of them. Yeah, she liked them. That's a good point. That's a good thing. Well, yeah. What do you think Charles has? Charles got big old gnarly,
Starting point is 00:24:17 slobbery dogs. I think that's what that is. Probably. Hard dogs or something. Yeah. All right. Show me corgi. Yeah, number four. All right.
Starting point is 00:24:27 You're working your way up. Right. Right. My friend also has this dog. The last two would get you 28 points. All right. I'm going to say what my boy has. My boy, he's got, he just had to have one.
Starting point is 00:24:45 And it's a big, then he had a baby. He has a great Dane. Oh, sure. People who had their great Danes really love their Dane. Wonderful dogs. Wonderful dogs. Because they don't have shit to prove and they will lay on you and just be
Starting point is 00:24:57 amazing and they don't have to fight nobody because they know they'd win. They're intimidating. Scooby-Doo is a Great Dane too, right? He was. And they just don't live long enough. They're only problem. Short lives.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Short lives. All right. Show me your Great Dane. Oh. It's right there in the name. Hold on. It says Great Dane. It's a great dog.
Starting point is 00:25:17 Let's see. Great Dane. I love Great Dane. I'm sorry. 37 was great Dane, right under Golden Doodle. Oh, wow. Yeah. How about the Claire Dane?
Starting point is 00:25:27 Just kidding. We're not doing that. How about the Taylor Dane? Oh, yeah, there's more Danes. Okay. We didn't do a, we haven't done that yet, right? We didn't, we didn't do the Dalmatian. Yeah, the Dalmatian.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Sure. And there were the spots and whatnot. Most common Dalmatian name, Spot. Yeah, it is. According to New York Times crossword puzzle, thanks a lot. Yeah, that was two days ago, right? Oh, did I suppose something? lately oh sorry about that no spoiler it's two days ago yeah right you had two days you did cross
Starting point is 00:25:56 if it was two days before now then you're yeah yeah yeah i didn't know you were uh new york times oh yeah the whole family oh look at mr will shorts here in south carolina just keeping it all real geez well done i'm impressed holy crap show me dalmatian come on come on oh no Dalmatian was number Do do do do do do do do do Wow Well he had to get on the floor to see how low that was Jeez
Starting point is 00:26:28 I know I am not seeing I could have sworn somebody said Dalmatian I am not finding a Dalmatian What is wrong with you guys That's insane to me We had one name Cece It was short for cookies and cream
Starting point is 00:26:41 Because she looked like that if you had The colors and she was the sweetest Nicest dog except the time she barked in the bathroom room and it scared me so bad because I didn't know she's in there that I jammed my toothbrush through my cheek. I was brushing my teeth and she went, and I went, oh my God. And just tore through the whatever that. There's like a inner lining, that soft inner lining.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Yeah, and there's like a tight little. Oh, the little connector vein. Yeah, it ripped right through that. Bled for a month. It was awful. Did you go? I did. It was the first thing I did.
Starting point is 00:27:14 She went, roof, and I went. Right. Anyway. All right, Brian, two answers on the board. Get both of these and you win the game. Well, not a problem. I'm, I've got them. I've got them right here in my back pocket.
Starting point is 00:27:30 How about, I don't know. We don't have enough small dogs up here. I see that's a problem. Every time we said a small dog has been nope, a whiff. Do we already say, do we say do. Do, do, do, do. do do do we didn't say I mean you can start that timer
Starting point is 00:27:52 don't you start your guesses out loud because it's not Scott doesn't get another guess oh we can't all right good I'm out I'm out say uh Higgins dogs actually it's not Higgins dogs is Higgins who's the guy's name Mr. I'm thinking about the Doberman Pinchers so hot no no Dormin Pintcher yeah that's it that's it
Starting point is 00:28:08 Doberman you can leave off the Pinter if you want right for the game Pinscher not for the game really Oh, that means it's not up there. He gave it away. I did. Shemi Doberman. Crap!
Starting point is 00:28:22 Yeah, I totally. I mean, yay, I won. This is what I missed. Yeah, your last two here, let's get to him because I know Tom's weight. I see him waiting in the wings. He's right there in the wings. No, number nine. Didn't even come up as a guess when you guys were talking about.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Border collies. Very popular. Number 10, you should have said it. You talked about it, Brian, and you didn't say it. Pit bull. Dang it. Pit bulls are so maligned. They're wonderful dogs.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Pit bulls who like, people like pit bulls. Pit bulls? People who like pit bulls love them. I always said the same argument. I have no problems with pit bulls. Just be aware, like a chihuahua.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Even if it's a mean ass mother humper, he can't kill me. If you have a bad pit bull, you've got a killer. He'll kill you. If he's bad, if he's been mistreated or whatever, even if you're doing a nice thing,
Starting point is 00:29:16 Like, you just need to know the history of the dog. But their disposition overall in dog breeds, it's very nice. Yeah. We had. It'd be like having, it'd be like having a lion and going, yeah, but my lion's really nice. Yeah. Okay. My daughter had a dog name Izzy and they got, they gave her to a friend when Van was about three months old.
Starting point is 00:29:36 And the reason they did it wasn't because she was dangerous to the dog. It's because she became so devoted to the baby that she would get mad at other adults trying to take care of. of the baby. So that's the kind of loyalty those dogs have. Dogs have personalities. Guess what? And they're exposed to environments. It's like everything else is. So yeah. I love that dog. But if it can murder me, I try to keep it as far as ways I came from. Yes, it's me. And also, it like ate a couch kind of once. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Our lab did that. Well, she ate sideboards. Like the, uh, the corner, whatever that. Not,
Starting point is 00:30:11 not sideboards. What do you call that, uh, the molding that is at the bottom above the carpet. Oh, hold on. We just did some in our bathroom. It's called Bay Sports. Baseboards. Baseboards. Thank you. Yes. She would just lay on the, on her side with her mouth on it and just chew it. Just, well, oh, oh. And just look at you. We rubbed the VIX on it. And that's what kept her away from doing. The Vix did it? Yeah. But the whole house smelled like someone was getting over a cold. It did, yes. That's great. Well, well done. That means we have a winner. Two things happen here when that happens. You get a victory pickle.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Congratulations. This goes to who, Brian? What did they win? Bob Finnegan. And congratulations, Bob. You're going to get a copy of Liberated and Bloodshore on Steam. But Andrew Lee, you're going to copy of quadroids, also on Steam. All of these, courtesy of Judiper.
Starting point is 00:31:03 Nice. I know of Liberated. I don't know the other two. So this is a rare, one of those rare days. I'm not sure what you're all getting, but I'm sure they're good. Watch for your private messages on the Patreon. You'll be getting those right after the show today. Hey, Dunaway, here's the good news.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Today, me and you meet up at 4 p.m. mountain time to discuss a video game. And let's just say pirates are in the air. Oh, Sid Mears Pirates, both from 1987, the original Commodore 64 and the 2004 that came out. Yeah, but I guess for the PC and Windows and maybe Xbox. I'm trying to remember. I didn't play that one. Scott's got that one. We're going to go, we're going to go, what is it, rapier?
Starting point is 00:31:43 What is it? Cutlist. We're going to go cutlass to cutlass. Cutlass to Cutlass. And I will pronounce it. Sid Meir. And you'll call it Sid Mear. That'll be the deal.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Sid Mear. Sid Mear. It's going to be great. We'll do watch retro right after that. So please come join us live tonight, 4 p.m. right here on the YouTube and Twitch with Brian Dunaway and myself. That sounds like fun. Hey, Brian Dunaway.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Do me one tiny favor. Kiss my butt. All right. By the way, to September and Jerry Tolbert. was on the list. Number 32 was cats. Someone put cats? That's funny. Yeah, a couple people put cats. And my favorite answer was, well, there was one that was in all caps, long-haired miniature ducks.
Starting point is 00:32:27 And I just hear the Irish accent coming off of that one. And then whatever Murray from Matt About You was. Oh, okay. Fair. I couldn't remember what, I thought Murray was their friend, played by Stuart Pankow or something like that. Oh, the guy that walked the dog. That was, that's the guy that spent on me in Chicago. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:48 No, the guy that walked the dogs was Hank Azaria. Oh, right. Yeah. Who am I thinking? Was he a neighbor? He was on there for something. I can't think he was name on the side. Yeah, no, he was, he was definitely on there.
Starting point is 00:33:01 Okay. And Murray was a collie, collie mix. Collie mix. Collies are great. But the guy you're thinking about is kind. Richard. Richard, kind, geez. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:11 Still, I never watched that part of my body where he's been on. It's tattooed. This is where Richard kind spit on me. That's right. When he did it, it was like... All right. When he use it every chance I get. All right.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Hey, everybody. Time for a new thing. A new thing. A regular thing. A new thing today, though. Here you go. Isn't technology wonderful? Yes, it sure can be when Tom Merritt joins us.
Starting point is 00:33:34 And he is just waiting in the wings very patiently to be here. Tom Merritt, welcome back to the program. Well, thank you, Scott and Brian. It's good to be here. It's great to be here. It's good to have you. You know, Seven, the dog, my dog, is mostly husky, but he's part pit bull.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Oh, really? So that would have been 14 points right there. Yeah, you would have put Brian on a better footing, for sure. He's husky, then shepherd, than pit bull. Oh, wow. How much of the stereotypic personality of which subbreed did you see the most in the dog, do you think? Yeah, his personality is mostly husky, talkative, impatient. He's got a little of that pit bull chewing and a little of the shepherd guarding thing. But yeah, mostly husky.
Starting point is 00:34:15 This is one of your hot, see, Tom's got a hot topic in the mall, nothing to do with what I'm about to say. But there are three hot topics Tom has, the ready at any time, as far as I'm concerned. It's dog breeds and dogs, baseball in St. Louis, and K-pop.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Yeah. And the Cardinals have made it much more interesting than they should have this year, and I'm going to see La Seraphim tonight at Crypto Arena. Nice. I wonder if they're pooped from their time at BlizzCon, I wonder. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:45 I don't know if they re-cutter. Do you know how long did they play at BlissCon? How long was there said anybody know? It was about 45 minutes, I think? Okay. We watched it. And they'll probably do like triple that at the show, right? Yeah, those are more than two hours.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Yeah, yeah. And the one, the Blisscon one, my understanding is they, um, oh, was it going to say about that? I forgot. There was something. They were great. There were something, well, they were. But, oh, no, that's what you said.
Starting point is 00:35:09 They streamed it. It was a, that's the weird. Yeah, they streamed it on YouTube and Wevers. That's the weird thing about, um, This year's BlizzCon, generally speaking, was that nothing was held back by a paywall of any kind. Nice. There's no virtual ticket or any of that. Well, and what was odd is at first it looked like the music performance, they said it's in room only.
Starting point is 00:35:26 This will not be streamed. They meant Bliscon wouldn't stream it. But then Laceraphim streamed it or Hib, their agency streamed it. Yeah. Yeah, that's true because you couldn't get it on the same channels necessarily. Although some channels that were just carrying the co-streamed just carried right into it and co-streamed that. Yeah, well, that's great. I hope you have fun and that you walk away with whatever t-shirt you don't own yet. Do you already have a Lissaire from Lightstick? I'm sure you do.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Oh, yeah. Yeah. No, and when we went to see them in Yokohama, I bought the Chewan baseball jersey, but you could only get in Japan. Wow. Very cool. Is that what it's on right now? Is that what that is? I bet it's a cooler baseball jersey than this one. What's the, what's the shirt with the 42 on it? What are we got? Oh, this is an old, uh, a geek shirt that's just 42 for the Hitchieger's guy. Because, yeah, the life and the universe and everything and all that. All right.
Starting point is 00:36:17 The life and the universe and everything. And all that stuff. The restaurant and the cow. It's the Fodd. Well, it's good to. Thank you. It's really good to have you here. We're going to answer one of these tech questions.
Starting point is 00:36:32 We finally got one that was more than a paragraph. You guys are really going all in this week with the longer question. You don't pick them based on how long they are, right? No. I do like them when they're short but also interesting. Those are, that's a magical combination. That's the best combo for sure. This one's long and interesting.
Starting point is 00:36:48 I'm just sit down while you, I can't stand for this whole thing. No, it's a big one. And it's Ryan in Michigan, which makes it even harder. Just kidding, Ryan, we love when we hear from you. He says this, I've been playing, sorry, I've been playing the same subscription-based VR workout game
Starting point is 00:37:02 called Supernatural, which is Sarah Lane is way into this or was. Yeah, yeah. She still is. Anyway, for the past five years, I need routine in my life, and it's how I start most, almost every day. Over the years, met a lot of amazing people through the game.
Starting point is 00:37:16 Some have it become real-life friends. It's helped me lose 40 pounds. Geez, Louise, that's fantastic. That's great. Last year, Meta bought the game. I remember when that happened. And I also remember having this worry, but we'll get to that in a second.
Starting point is 00:37:27 And it slowly began to feel like the life was being drained out of it. Not long after, Meta announced that it would no longer be creating new content for the game. Early this year, many of the people who made supernatural what it is, including all of the coaches, the original developer, and some behind the scenes members of the team, announced that they were creating a new version of the game, which is expected to launch in December. My guess is it'll be a new name, too. But anyway, I'm thrilled that the game will live on and that I won't lose the morning workout routine and it has become such an important part of my life. At the same time, I'm nervous about what the future holds. A new company is taking over a product that already had an established community and there's no guarantee that it will succeed. Are there examples from the tech world that something similar, or sorry, world of something similar actually succeeding? Or are my concerns about the future just to?
Starting point is 00:38:13 Thank you as Ryan. My first thought, I always go to the nature of the games business right now because there are a lot of examples of like a studio bought by Sony, let's say. They did this with that, I forgot the name of the game. The game that failed within like 12 days and they pulled it and I forgot the name of it. Anyway, it was like supposed to be a big Overwatch killer. Game is a service game. Someone in the chat's going to remember the name and I'm going to be annoyed that I forgot it.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Anyway, that thing came and went. big, huge famous example of like bad marketing. They didn't really do it right. There was a lot of like problems before. They maybe shouldn't have approved it in the start. Concord. That's it. Concord. People are saying. Concord. So within like 12 days, that thing was shut down or less than that or maybe a few days more than that. I don't remember. It flew as fast as a concord right into failure. Yeah, right into the sun is what it did. And at the end of it all, they shut the studio down. And this was an example of them buying this promising studio. And now it looked like, oh, flush with money. All the opportunities are there for them. They can keep going and go crazy. And instead,
Starting point is 00:39:19 it's the exact opposite of that. And there are many examples of this, but not just in gaming, other parts of the tech world. So Tom, how justified are his feelings? What's your overall on this topic? I mean, yes, whenever there's a big change in resources and organization that is always a risk. And so it's it's right to be like, oh, I really like this. I hope it survives. It's also, so harder when you go independent as Scott and I know because you don't get the you don't get the resources that you have when you're under that big corporate umbrella. Bungee is an interesting example. Remember Microsoft bought it in 2000 and then spun it back out in 2007 and then Sony acquired it in 2022. So that's something to look at is like, oh, it might actually just end up getting
Starting point is 00:40:07 acquired by somebody else. They just have to survive long enough and then maybe they can get that corporate money. I mean, Bungee may not be the greatest example, especially if you're, we're a destiny fan. Yeah. Things are a little weird over there. They laid off a ton of people. Yeah, yeah. But it is an example of like, they didn't flat out fail and Halo didn't go away, right? Right. PayPal's probably a better example here. PayPal was acquired by eBay in 2002, then spun back out as a public company in 2015. And it has, of course, gone on to be incredibly successful. So there's an example of, and granted, it's financial,
Starting point is 00:40:48 so it's a little bit different, but there's an example of a company that, you know, it went into the corporate coffers and then got spun back out. But it's succeeded for years and years and years. So it is a little bit of a target for acquisition or merriment. right now again. But that's a long time away from 2015, right? So it's, who's got their eye on it right now? There's, I don't think that there's any particular, uh, company that is leading right now. I've heard Square, you know, was looking at it or something like that, but, uh, those rumors seem to have
Starting point is 00:41:25 settled back down. I feel like maybe PayPal was trying to foster them to see if they could, you know, up a price, haven't heard anything more recently. So they may, they may end up just staying, uh, independent. But, you know, even if they did get sold this year, 11 years later, that's pretty great. And they own, they own Venmo, right? So they have kind of all the cool kid, internet pay stuff, sort of. Yes, any way you want to pay. Yeah. You want to be a cool kid?
Starting point is 00:41:52 Use Venmo and forget the PayPal owns it. You want to be a stodgy old guy like me? Use PayPal because, I mean, it's become crucial to the business. Like PayPal, without PayPal, I don't know what the last 10 years look like for me. Right. And that was a company. that when it was spun out in 2015, I don't think it was as doubtful as supernatural
Starting point is 00:42:11 because it wasn't as small, but it was like, oh, can they survive on their own? There's lots of payment options now in a way that there wasn't in 2002 when eBay bought them. So I think that's probably your best example. Skype is another example. Also, eBay bought it in 2005 and then spun it back out in 2009.
Starting point is 00:42:27 And obviously it's been shut down. So it's not the greatest example. But it was bought by Microsoft when it was very successful. So it got spun out as an independent and did great and did great enough to be acquired. And you could argue it just outlived its time. And that's why Microsoft shut it down because teams and Zoom and other things passed it by. But it declined while under corporate ownership, not independent.
Starting point is 00:42:53 So if you're looking at a good, it went independent and succeeded story. Skype's another good one to look at. It does seem like if Microsoft, Apple, Google, or meta, let's say, buy your company. there's that I think that should make people a little nervous if they're invested in it staying exactly how it is and not changing the things you like the most about it. So like Instagram, if you go back and look at Instagram, like Instagram is wildly successful for meta. You could argue it's their most important social imprint, right? There's an argument to be made for that. They, and meta owns it.
Starting point is 00:43:28 But when that thing started and its very basic features, it was this quirky little thing and it kind of grew organically and it did all these things. If you go back, and it's hard to do this, but if you could go back in time, I suppose we could do it with a way back machine or something, but look at old Instagram and then compare it to what that thing is now, that thing has been bodily moved to the direction that meta needs to move it. And there's no way that somebody who loved the state of it back in the day, there's no way that this is what that is still to them. They may still use it, but it's not the same.
Starting point is 00:44:00 any more than like X is for original 2008 Twitter people, 2007, whatever. So I get this feeling of like there's like something personal about the thing that really got you and pulled you in like this supernatural app. And the way Sarah talked about it, like I felt like she had some real, this is like the most passionate person I had ever heard talk about her workout routine because VR and Supernatural were changing the way she did it. and it was like fundamental. And so to hear that that was getting chewed up, changed, left to the side, squandered, whatever, is just a bummer feeling. So there's a lot of, I can tell you this, as somebody who is deeply ingrained in the steam ecosystem, I love it. I fear the day where Gabe Newell dies, new people are in charge, changes are made, maybe somebody finally says, you know, that idea of not going public, we're not doing that, we're going public. It was dumb not to go public.
Starting point is 00:45:00 And then going public changes expectations and how to stay permanently profitable changes. All these sorts of things change. I fear those days because it's not like this stuff hasn't happened before. Yeah. So he may be in the same boat with this and the new thing may not be as good. Like these are all possibilities. But I think the good news here is that the base, you know, the people who made supernatural are added again. Yeah, I think that's the more important part.
Starting point is 00:45:26 there is the risk of financial success not coming and keeping it going. But when a company is bought by a bigger company, that bigger company has its own goals and it has its own directions. And that smaller company may, like Instagram, swim right inside that and continue to develop and grow because it's aligned well. Sometimes the company that bought it thought they were going to use it for something and then they change their mind or market conditions changed. And you end up seeing Skype get shut down, right? And so the difficult, I think we often misinterpreted like, oh, the big bad company acquires something and they want to squelch it. No company acquires another company because they want to shut it down.
Starting point is 00:46:12 It has happened, but it's incredibly rare. You don't spend that amount of money and trouble and regulatory approval just to trash something. You think you're going to get something valuable out of it. So most of the time when you buy something, it's like, oh, we think it aligns with our goals. But in a company that's really big, those goals change fast. And you're not attached to the reason the company was founded the way the founders are, which is that's the positive for supernatural is like you've got the folks who believe in this product running it. And to me, that's the most important part is that you're able to do that. And your Gabe Newell example is a great example of that too.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Like, he's the one who has the vision and the understanding of what that vision is. And when he's gone, maybe you'll have a Tim Cook, maybe you won't. You know, it's hard to say. Who will be the capable hands after Gabe leaves? I don't know. Another positive example, it's not from the tech world, is Harley Davidson. Harley Davidson was sold in 1969. And then in 1981, a bunch of people bought it back and made it independent again.
Starting point is 00:47:22 bunch of people who believed in it. And Harley Davidson is incredibly successful since then. So, you know, it's, to me, it's, what's most important is, are the people in charge of it believers in that product? And then, then it's subject to market conditions and demand and, you know, can it actually make money and be a viable business? But the most important thing is, do you have people who believe in it? So supernatural has a leg up in that. Yeah. Plus, I think it's just good for us once in a while to be reminded that these, that all things are ephemeral. And, certainly in the tech world, things are maybe even extra ephemeral. You occasionally get a company that thrives for IBM levels,
Starting point is 00:47:59 but look how much they had to change to thrive and stay and exist. So it's just the nature of it. No one from 1900 is alive now. No, not one. I think about that all the time. I do. I know you do. I like to look.
Starting point is 00:48:14 When Tom and I were doing... Nobody doubts that. What was the show where we did the movies? What was that called? Not autopilot. Autopilot. It was an autopilot. Yeah, but...
Starting point is 00:48:24 That was for pilots, though. What did we do? Oh, no. We went and watched all the classic movies. What did we call that? We were... That was a current geek thing. Was it?
Starting point is 00:48:31 It might have been. Anyway, when we did Casa. We did Casablanca. I remember that day, that day in particular, it was crazy because I just look at that IMDB list. And nobody's around. The camera people, dead.
Starting point is 00:48:47 Everybody there in the room, gone. And I had a dream. dream that the whole the bar where I play it again, Sam or all that stuff happens. All of them are gone. It's just an empty place with nobody in it making a movie. It's so weird to me. All that energy's gone.
Starting point is 00:49:02 So it's just good, I think, to wrap your head around the ephemeral nature of man. Yeah. Everything changes. The only thing constant is change. Yeah. I like that. Oh, I thought there was going to be more there.
Starting point is 00:49:15 That's it. That's all I got. The only absolute of there are no absolutes. There you go. Yeah. Right. Reduce your attachments? I don't know. We're getting very zen. Sure. Yeah, but here's the good news. We didn't talk about AI today at all. And that was fantastic.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Ah, now you ruined it. Oh, no, we just did it. Oh, no. What have I done? You had to bring it up. Well, hurry up and throw dirt on it by telling us what's going on on DTNS or anything else you have going on right now. Ah, yeah, DTNS is great. We've got a new format for our Friday show that Scott took part in last Friday. Super fun, by the way. Had a blast. I'm glad you think so. The big tech question. of the week where we do a little debate style format where everybody takes a different angle on whatever the big tech question and tech news is that week. We also have some weekend stuff coming out. Last week, Sarah Lane led a roundtable on the new Apple phones. This weekend, Roger Chang and Patrick Norton talking about what to do with your old cables. That'll be a Saturday
Starting point is 00:50:10 show. And then on Sunday, Jason Howell is going to be talking to Scott Stein from CNET about the steam frame. Because Scott got a chance to play. with it ahead of launch. So they'll be digging a little deeper into that. So that's all available on the good old-fashioned Daily Tech News show feed. If you're like, oh, yeah, I used to listen to DTNS. Come on back. There's never been a better time.
Starting point is 00:50:33 We will keep you up to speed on an increasingly turbulent technological world. Yeah. You like the turbulence? Guess what? That ain't going away. Yeah. We'll make you feel a little better about it. In fact, Justin Robert Young's spot on Monday talking about the intersection
Starting point is 00:50:50 of politics and AI, even made Rob Dunwood go, oh man, when jury's on, it just makes me calm down, makes me feel better. So you might want to listen to that one if you haven't already. I'll bet that one's good. There's also, you know, he's doing some really good work in this area is Dan Patterson, who we both know. Oh, yeah, Dan's great.
Starting point is 00:51:06 His stuff where they're, the company works for right now, they do like, they can tell when they're doing like up to the second sort of misinformation campaign tracking and how AI falls into it and like where the bots are actually coming from and what they're focused on with any particular issue or whatever. That's a good idea. Oh, you totally should, dude. His stuff right now is freaking fascinating. Anyway, it is Tom Merritt, everybody. He is Ace Detect on all the social media places where he's like the one human and the rest are bots.
Starting point is 00:51:38 So go check that out. Tom, have a great week. We'll see you next time. Bye. Bye. Bye, Thomas Emeritus. He put his name in the thing as full caps. Yeah, he did. Like, a K-pop band.
Starting point is 00:51:51 Yeah, I felt like, is that a thing K-pop bands do? Yeah, yeah. I didn't know that. In Hypen or twice or La Seraphim, it's always in all caps. I didn't know that. It was like a trend or like a thing. I don't know why, but, uh, yeah. You think they have a thing where they're like into the, I don't know, there's some cultural thing or something or I don't know.
Starting point is 00:52:09 They just want, they just want their band names to be louder than other bands. And much, much louder than Katie Lang. Just not, not hard to do. That's right. Um, okay, real quick here, an email from Herbie, uh, not Hancock and not the car. And not the robot that assists the Fantastic Four. No, none of them. I always forget that thing's called Herbie. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:32 There's somebody, uh, uh, Taffy guy actually sent me a link to a dude that has made a 3D print full size Herbie that you can download and print yourself so you can have a little full size Herbie. How big is it like a four-footer something? Yeah, yeah, like, uh, you know. You can't see where I'm putting my hand, but about waist high it looks like. You can do it? You're going to make one?
Starting point is 00:52:54 No, no. I mean, I don't think so. It's one more thing to have to store and dust, and what am I going to do with it after I print it? It's going to be really cool for the few minutes after I print it and then be like, yeah, now what am I doing with this thing? Yeah. I'm trying to get rid of stuff. I don't need to add things. Same thing.
Starting point is 00:53:11 Yeah, oh, here's a, let me give you an image. Oh, yeah, let's see it. Copy image. Uh-n-n-n-n-ne-ne-ne-ne-ne-ne-ne-ne-pace. All right, here we go. It's in our Discord. Excellent. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:22 And that's your average man next to it. That is the average man. That is average man in blue jeans and a t-shirt. Kind of average high school kid, I guess. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Five-nine, that's about average. Yeah, that's pretty good. Yeah, 3.2 feet, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Based more on the film or the... Yes. Okay. Way more on the film, not based on the old cartoon Herbie, which I liked a little bit better. Kind of liked it, too. Yeah. I watched some of the old Spider-Man yesterday.
Starting point is 00:53:52 The old Spider-Man, like the... 60s one? Okay, yeah. Does whatever a Spider-Can era? Man, it is so... Excellently cheesy. It is. Yeah, it totally is.
Starting point is 00:54:04 And the, you know, the fact that they decide just save time by only drawing webs on his head and not drawing it on the rest of his body. His chest is all just red. His gloves have a slight one, but it's super, like, really simple, like three lines. but they just couldn't justify it. And then they repeat animation a hundred times over for every episode. Yes. I freaking love it, though.
Starting point is 00:54:27 That's great. It's so cheesy. All right. Have you watched any of the new Disney Plus? I haven't yet. No. Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is what's called. I have not yet.
Starting point is 00:54:36 I keep hearing good things about it. I've seen just by hanging around here because Ramona's obsessed with it. But she loves Spidey and his friends on Disney. And it's kind of cute because it's like they got a weird little MODoc, kids version of Modoc and a kid's version of the Hulk who's, the Hulk's right. Because he's like, oh, I'm angry, but I'm doing pretty good kids, you know. Right. Hulk feels pretty good today.
Starting point is 00:55:04 Yeah. And Tony Stark just kind of comes off as a purve because he's got a mustache and he shouldn't be around these kids. It's weird. Right. Yes. I love it, though. It's cheesy and dumb and great.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Yeah. All right. Here's this email. This is from Herbie. Oh, that's not the right one. This is about the jugs of pee. Herbie says, I didn't mean to add to the Texarkana confusion. Generally speaking, the Texas side is considered the nicest side.
Starting point is 00:55:30 That said, Texas side is not all that great to start with. Love the show, though, Herbie. That was my memory as the Texas side was nicer. So maybe it's not nice in general, but in comparison, relatively speaking, it's nicer than the Arkansas side. so there you go we can finally foot that one to bed can we finally foot it foot it to bed all right to bed foot it to rest scott may as well be me
Starting point is 00:55:58 reep still not sure what he said because he paused a long time after that and never finished oh really okay so we don't know what he wasn't just uh that wasn't just an arby's beef and cheddar coming back up if he look if he's eating something as clean as an arby's beef and cheddar i'd be shocked It's the roast beef, but it's wrapped around a raccoon that I found. Looked next to the garbage cans. All right. Anyway, hey, if you want to send your own text messages and or emails, whatever to us, you can do it at frogpans.com slash tMS, it's all right there for the taking.

So there is a way to run in this game which actually helps solve one of the difficult cars that I was having to deal with. But I enjoy the game a lot. I really enjoyed
Starting point is 00:57:25 figuring out as much of it as I could live. Basically, everybody's seeing me walk into a car and say, okay, what am I supposed to do with this? This car is filled with white mannequins and it's not letting me
Starting point is 00:57:41 out the other side. What do I do? And I figure out what to do and then the car opens up on the other side nice yeah and the whole thing's up on your youtube right go watch the whole thing's up on youtube two parts the first part is an hour and a half of me dreading the the weird twitchy electrified guy and then part two is where I figure out what you do to avoid the weird twitchy guy oh all right yeah you guys have had a tease now it's exactly so now the second one is shorter you actually get to see pretty much everything in the second one um Today, oh, posting lost luggage. I don't know what episode is getting posted today, but it'll be a good one.
Starting point is 00:58:20 Okay. For sure. All right. Look for that. It's wherever we're at. It's wherever you are. It's going to be great. It's right where you are. It's going to be great.
Starting point is 00:58:28 And yeah, no other plans for streaming, although my next stream is going to be Warcraft 3 Reforge. I'm going to try the new stuff and stream it. Oh, very nice. I'm excited about that. It's going to be good. Just looking forward to the good graphics and stuff. and just getting back into that kind of game. I really like the resource building and management.
Starting point is 00:58:49 It's been a while since we've had a good RTS, you know? It is, yeah. They aren't what they used to be, so it's kind of nice to get back to it. I'm going to indulge myself for a second. Forgive me, you guys, but I just got this photo from yesterday's soccer game. I just, you all need to find somebody in your life who looks at their dad the way Stevie does. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:59:10 And, look, Dylan's a dork. but she's just like, she's just enraptured with him. I love that. Anyway, that's it. That's the show. We need to play a song, though. So play one.
Starting point is 00:59:22 I have one of those. J.K. Grammer, helping his lovely wife, coalesce and Coles, Convales. Convales. Maybe not Coalesce. She's conlissing into a convalescence. There you go. There we go. After
Starting point is 00:59:35 some stuff going on this last week, but she's recovering, and he wants to hear a song. He says, Superion and Bruticus. Peter Collins, I'm sorry, Peter Cullen's recent passing away is a big hit for me. Don't think he means that in the good way, in the bad way.
Starting point is 00:59:51 Optimus Prime was the one hero I I really looked up to when I was growing up in remembering how much of an effect he had on so many people in generations. Could you play the recent reformatted edition of The Touch by Stan Bush? Thanks for all you guys do. Love the Robo, though. J.K. Grammer. Oh, that's a great, that's a great request for a great... Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:09 For a great dude. You know? He was awesome. And it's going out, going out and being requested by a great dude. Yeah, this was reformatted by the Knights of Unicron. Stan Bush Transformers came out this year on the Transformers, the movie, the soundtrack, the reformatted edition. Lots of colones. Wow.
Starting point is 01:00:31 Which is ironic because the Transformers themselves don't have lots of colon. No, they don't. They have zero colons. Zero colons. Anyway, this is the touch. Here are all those people I just mentioned. You got the power. Dogpants.com.
Starting point is 01:04:49 Delicious. It is meteor.
