Starting point is 00:00:00 The creation of soap happened nearly 5,000 years ago, but not for bathing. It wasn't widely used for regular bathing until a thousand years later. Gross. Anyway, support TMS today at patreon.com slash TMS. Coming up on the morning stream, O Bib Fortuna. Did he done it? Live remote audience. We couldn't get our vaccines.
Starting point is 00:00:22 No bush for you. Water, pass. You had me at pizza beans. Robot lava bath. Terminators for children. Change your poop. Exactly zero dollars. Full Claire Dames mode.
Starting point is 00:00:34 Dad, I pooped. A little surveilled. Slap Dash with Nicole and more. On this episode of the morning stream. Gas prices are falling everywhere, especially in South Carolina. Prices around the country average about 87 cents a gallon. But in York County, you can get a gallon of gas for 69 cents. It feeds mainly on monkeys.
Starting point is 00:00:59 The morning stream. There, that's better. Try to enjoy your life day. Hello, everybody, and welcome to TMS. This is the morning stream for Monday, October 5th, 2020. I'm Scott Johnson. That's Brian Abbott. Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Welcome to the first full week of October. That's right. His phase two of his cold decided to come back and talk about. on his butt. That's right. Exactly. Lots of fun. You don't think it's a new one. It's the same one, right? I think it's the same one. It's just like, it's just moving around my body, trying to find other places to beat up. Like now it's starting to settle in my chest. I joked with Hammond today that we could have called today's episode Daily Mucous Headlines.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Oh, nice. You wouldn't have to change the acronym or nothing. No, no, we could keep it the same. That's great. Well, I hope you feel better, though. Me too. I mean, I still feel like I'm at 80% it's just like my voice sounds like I'm at 60 and my sleep was you know affected but uh it sounds so much like the thing I had I had one night where my voice went gone yeah and then but I felt fine otherwise
Starting point is 00:02:19 it was a weird one I don't like it's a weird one no I'm not a fan I don't like the weird ones because the weird ones always make me think there's something going to get announced about it like yeah there's a creepy weird thing some people just experience weirdness but other people are falling over like dead flies. It's like great. And team and I were all set to go get our vaccines on on Friday because like, all right, nothing scheduled for Saturday. We're all good. Cool. We'll get our vaccines on Friday. She went, I did not. Not going to get a vaccine while I'm sick. I'm pretty sure that's a no-no. I don't know. Yeah, as far as I know it's not the best idea. I actually don't know. They ask you.
Starting point is 00:02:53 They ask you like any current symptoms or anything like that before they stick a needle in you. Oh, they want to know. That's true, I guess. I do get asked that each time. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, don't go in there yet you'll yeah COVID can wait yeah I'll have to I'll have to ask Dr. Jerry when he is available oh yeah he's in surgery today the vibes to Dr. Jerry today is getting his surgery yeah I think it's going to go well though because I'm sure well you know he's he caught this early yes he's got access to you know good good good doctors he knows he knows it asked right you think he said I'd like heard into the surgery and not him Yeah, he's in the union or whatever.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Yeah. I don't know what they do. The doctor union. There's probably something, right? Some kind of, I don't know. Is there like a... There's something. I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:03:45 I mean, you know, just working in the hospital, you probably know who's a doctor Romano versus who's a doctor. Who's a doctor green. Yeah. You know, you're right. You're probably right. I don't know. He'll have to fill us in, but we usually have him either listening or in the chat. And we're thinking about them.
Starting point is 00:04:04 I hope this goes quick. Absolutely. As painlessly as possible. I think the bowel prep was the worst part, he says. Always is. Yeah. Yeah. Preping that bowel, baby.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Yep. Yep. All right. We got to get to a few things. I found this thing that blew my mind. And I don't know why this bothers me so much. The advent of, the one thing people don't talk a lot about is the growth of AI has gone kind of hand in hand rapidly with the growth of, of robotics and robotics technologies.
Starting point is 00:04:36 And it makes sense because if you're going to train a robot or an AI how to fix roads, the idea that you'd have some working autonomous robots that could fix the roads and would be running the software that you've created with your AI stuff to do it. Like all this makes sense that they would be rising at the same time. Right. Yeah. Yeah. All science fiction aside, this one company blows my mind what they do. do because this just seems so dystopic to me
Starting point is 00:05:06 and I'm not even sure why it seems so dystopic but it really bugged me to see it so I'll show you this thing there's some video to show the video's fantastic as you see there are robots jumping off this looks like the scene in Alien 3 where Ripley finally takes a dive or really the
Starting point is 00:05:22 end of Terminator 2 right right before Arnold gives the thumbs up as he sinks into the yeah exactly it's like it's It's in metal. And in that case, not his choice, right? Right.
Starting point is 00:05:35 In this case, they program the robots at the end of life. So these are older models. These are models that have come, you know, full circle, whatever. I don't know why they don't donate these to schools or something. But anyway, they, this company based in China, has them walk the freaking plank and do like diver dives into the multiple lava. Like Greg Luganis style dives and stuff like that. It's really. I mean, can you imagine if your computer said, well, yeah, that's the end of my, your AppleCare just ended.
Starting point is 00:06:08 I'm going to run into the street so a car can run me over. Yeah. And real quick, someone in the chat says, dude, this is AI, dude. No, it's not. I looked it up. This company figure, go look them up. You can find a whole deep dive on who these guys are. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:24 And they are, this is how they get rid of their things. The robots are AI. He's not wrong in the fact that there is AI involved. the robots have artificial intelligence. Yeah. He's saying the video's not real. I know. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I know. No, I did some digging. We're not dumb here on TMS. We've been fooled before. So we try. Oh, my goodness. And we won't get fooled again. Wow.
Starting point is 00:06:45 You know how when your cat will suddenly creep up on you? Yes. This is not quite like that. Come here. Oh, look at your side of your head all shaved. Oh, look at that. Hi. Say hi to Brian.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Hello. Hi. Oh, you're baking brownies. Oh. Go find your dad. Tell him to change your poop. Go say, Dad, I pooped.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Dad, I pooped. Oh. Holy shit. I picked her up. It was like... Squish. Nasty one. Anyway,
Starting point is 00:07:14 I just freak me out. She's just standing her right here. That's really funny. Bye. All right. I don't know why they're over so early this morning. All right. Anyway, where was I?
Starting point is 00:07:23 Oh, we were talking about the... So, I don't know why it threw me. It just, it made me... Yeah, because it's weird looking at these things like, like jumping to their death cheerfully it seems like in some cases the way they ran them the way they uh
Starting point is 00:07:38 jump in and do flips and stuff like that yeah and it's not like I feel bad for them I know they're autonomous I know they're not feeling creatures I know they don't feel pain I know all that it's just there's something about us doing that at this stage
Starting point is 00:07:53 that seems I'm trying not to be science fictiony about it or like sky net about it but it's just weird it's weird it is weird yeah with the, I know we didn't have the audio. I didn't have the audio when I watched it earlier, but please tell me that it's playing, oh, what is the name of that?
Starting point is 00:08:09 It's the one they used for the Guinness ads a while back. We go, Oh, yeah, yeah. It's not Flight of the Valkyrie. It's something like that, though. Old fashion or old school like, oh, Fortunata. That's it.
Starting point is 00:08:25 That's it. That's it. Oh, Fortuna. Yeah. Oh, Fortuna. Oh, Fortuna. I'm Fortuna. Are you Fortuna?
Starting point is 00:08:31 I'm Fortuna. Oh, Fortuna. Bibb Fortuna. That's right. What's that his name? Yeah, Fertuna. Jabba's Guy Hart. Jabba's the hand of the hut.
Starting point is 00:08:45 Hand of the hut is a thing. That's a missed opportunity. It totally is. The hand of the hut. Anyway, hey, Brian, how's your Apple Watch, yeah. You know, not so good, Sky. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:08:55 I've been noticing that it loses its power about halfway through the day. And I'm like, all right, well, let's finally do something about this, got online and said, all right, let's, you know, one of the things, excuse me, that I can turn off to make sure that I get power all through the day. And they're like, well, any, you know, the always on, which I don't have on, I have to hold my watch up to be able to see what time it is. They said, all right, check for apps that are constantly running and saving data in the background. I'm like, no, nothing doing that. And they said, okay, well, check your battery health.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Go into your settings and see what your battery health is at. So I'm like, oh, settings, battery, battery health. 53%. Your battery is like... It seems like low health. A full charge will get you 53% of what it did when it was first... When you first got it. Is this on the watch?
Starting point is 00:09:49 On the watch itself, yeah. Like you can actually go into the settings and battery on your watch itself and see all this stuff. I'm like, oh my God, this thing is just a couple years old. and it's already down to 53. Like, what model is this? And I do a little digging. It's like, oh, this is a series five. They're up to series 12.
Starting point is 00:10:05 I guess it's probably about the time. Yeah. About time to replace it. So I had some chase rewards points, plenty, to where I had to pay exactly $0 for a Series 12. Nice. Yeah. Didn't have enough to do an Ultra.
Starting point is 00:10:22 I kind of wanted an Ultra, but you know what? The Series 12 is just fine. The Series 12 screen is as big as an Ultra. now. It's gorgeous. Yes, it is. Yeah. Yeah, they kind of, they made them a lot closer to each other. I only got my ultra two or three. What is this? I only got it because it was some screaming one day, two left in stock deal. Nice. And I paid like half of what they usually cost. There's no way I was going to get this otherwise. But I just checked my battery health. Yeah. Like all lithium batteries, they eventually croak. But I'm at 92. I'm
Starting point is 00:10:52 Oh, that's very good. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. I mean, that's higher than, that's higher than you fill today with your cold. It's higher than I feel with my cold. And I can go, and I will. I'm going to talk to Tristan. I'm going to talk to my uncle George, a couple people, and say, it's $99 to replace the battery in this thing. If you spring for the $99, the watch is yours. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:11:13 There you go. That's how you should do it. That's how you hand stuff down to the people in your life that you love. Yeah. Or that you just need you to get out of the house. Get out of the house. You know what I mean? Yes, exactly.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Here's some stuff. Get out of here. Exactly. yes. Well, that's awesome. I was worried this was a bad, this is going to be a sad ending to this story for some reason. No, it's a happy ending that at some point
Starting point is 00:11:35 this week I will be rocking a series 12. I thought you were going to go. And so I picked up a time X and I just went back to a Cassio with a tiny keyboard on it. I'll tell you what though. I mean, I can't judge this from, I can't say Nick is like all the Gen Zs.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Yeah. But him and his friends that we see once in a while, they do not want smart watches. They are all out buying like, old, like they're like vintage sacos, and then they'll buy like cool leather, like alligator skins, bands and stuff. And they're all into like the old school stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I don't know if it's enough of an impact on a market upcoming, like if they need to be advertised to more or they even care. But they don't like, Nick's like, I'm not getting one of those. Like what do you don't want one? He goes, I just need to tell the time. This is stupid. And I'm like, all right. That's a pretty good point.
Starting point is 00:12:23 I mean, but that, that generation is, all going to like, you know, like CDs instead of streaming and stuff like that. The guy who did the last couple weeks of our trivia competition, the host, came over and took our picture with a phone that flipped up. Like, not a foldable, but a flip phone. A flip phone.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Yes. The camera on that must not be very. I can't imagine it's great. Yeah. But I think there is a, there's a, we swung too far maybe for that generation. Maybe. And they're feeling a little surveilled, a little. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:55 overly advertised to, a little tapped with algorithm. Like, I think, I could be wrong, but if I feel, if I was them and I was coming up into that, I'd be like, I think I'd be pretty annoyed. It's a little bit of a revolution. It's also like, ah, man, if I get a smartwatch, I'm going to have to help my aging dad figure out his, you know, version 22 when he finally gets the series 22 Apple smartwatch. I'm going to have to help him set it up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:24 No kidding. It'll all flip. Or maybe it'll flip so hard that they'll have to help us set up our VCRs. Right. And stop the clock from blinking. You know what I mean? I don't know. Right. Because they want to go. They want to go back, man. They want to cut back. They're all like the 90s and 80s and 90s was the decade. I'm like, well, you weren't there. Like, it doesn't matter. We know it was the... We know it was the... We know it was. We know it was like. We know it was like. Yeah. We know it was awesome. Yeah. We know it was. All right. guys um let's play a game i'm in the mood for a game uh oh me too oh i should log in if i'm in that much of a mood i should log into it i should actually pull it up myself i honestly didn't do it but there's there's nothing i have to do to set it up now i just click run because it's already set up perfectly for uh do frogs have brains and the timer is correct like he he you know he did it right alka bob alka alka best alka he's the alka best bob ever ever
Starting point is 00:14:24 I don't know a better Bob. No. Than that Bob or any alka-babs at all. I only know him. All right, let's do this. Here we go. Hey, look what time it is. It's time for us to play a game.
Starting point is 00:14:39 And yes, that game can only be played with two contestants. And one of them is Brian Dunaway. And he joins us now. Hello? Hi, Scott and Brian. Oh, hi. How are you? What's going on?
Starting point is 00:14:49 I do it good. It's pretty good. It's Monday. It's much better than the last week. Yeah. Right. I bit knows what I'm talking about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:55 He knows. Yeah. He knows what's going on. Last week. Yeah. Hell yeah. Hey, did you, I was going to say to you, oh, I was going to say to you, I listened to, sometimes I just put film sack on in the background after an episode, just see how we did, you know, just what was the vibe this week and that sort of thing. How did we do? I think we did great.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Not only did we do well with a movie that was kind of complicated to talk about. Yeah. Yeah. But Brian Dunaway was in particular, very, you were delightful on Sunday. And I can't, I can't really put my finger on what was going on there, but you had an energy to you It was palpable. Yeah, I had to, like last week you talked, I was having a, you know, a couple of a run of, yeah, in a rough couple weeks. Cuts, yeah, cuts by, you know, a bunch of knives. I was like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:15:42 I'm stopping. I'm stopping it. And I'm like, yeah. And so I decided to be pleasant. And I hope that show. You were, you were. Yeah. You were very positive about the movie.
Starting point is 00:15:51 I think you, I think you might have learned a couple things about podcasting from the gore folks. Yeah. And I think you might have picked up. That's right. I was on there recently. Yeah. Yeah, it was good. Yeah, we heard their skit.
Starting point is 00:16:01 It went straight to VHS, though, that skit. It wasn't ready for tears. It was mostly the pauses. And so, you know, whatever. Little editing would have taken care of it. Just kidding. Monica in the chat, because I actually have a thing to play for her. She was a guy.
Starting point is 00:16:15 She was there. Look at what our pal Shane sent us. Shane Maddox sent us this. This is pretty great. Where did it go? Oh, I have to pull it up in the wrong folder. Okay, here we go. This was sent to me.
Starting point is 00:16:28 me from the other day this is what happened. Here we go. It's hot. It's fire. It's flames. Flames. Remember that? That was a total accent. It was sort of playing the thing. It was like perfect timing for that. Yeah. So there you go.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Wicked Citone. All right. Hey, Dunaway. Welcome. And hello. And let's do a show. Let's do it. Let's do a contest. Brian, able you explain the rules so we know what the hell we're doing. Sure. Welcome to Do Frogs Have Brains. A countdown style Trivy game. I've got 20 questions across various subjects, including science, art, entertainment, history, and more. I'm going to do
Starting point is 00:17:04 all your questions in this voice. You're each going to get 90 seconds to answer as many of these questions as you can. If you want to save time, just say pass. If you don't know something, do that. While Scott's answering his questions, we're going to put Brian into a sound proof, isolation, and the player with the most
Starting point is 00:17:19 correct answers after 90 seconds wins prizes for their contestant. Who are these contestants? I'm going to tell you. They've been pulled from our Patreon supporters at patreon. com slash tms scott is playing for roman mirror roman mirror the king of galderall yeah dude he sounds awesome before the giants came um and brian is playing for brad barber who uh works at a dollar general bad bad barbara what yeah bad barbara that's it bad what did you say brad barbara barbara Barber.

Starting point is 00:20:33 Who's that? Uh-oh. I don't know. I don't know what that one's from. That's a weird one. That's a weird one. But don't know. I got the message. So that's all it matters. That's right. Tough week for the message. Yes, for Scott this week. Let's see how you do, Brian. Are you ready?
Starting point is 00:20:48 Of course, I'm ready. All right, let's go. Let's do this. All right. I'll start the timer when I asked the first question. Oh, go ahead. Let you finish. Hide it. Hide it. Don't hide under your hand. I don't remember. Dang it. Don't hide it under a lamp. Dang it. What is it? You said lamp.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Yeah, and it's not right. A bushel is the right. A bushel. Freak. I would have got it. Would you give it it for. bush if it was me and I said Bush? I would not have given you Bush would not give you Bush I just mad if that was the answer
Starting point is 00:22:54 I wasn't fishing for a joke I promise We're hard How many cum quots would you like? I'll take a bush Yeah give me a bush Bush hole Yeah something like that American photographer that painted or painter that pioneered ray graphs
Starting point is 00:23:08 Man Ray. Oh man ray of course Scott got Militon Lebanese Lesbese. political group that sparked a 2007 attack Hezbollah starred in the 1948 film version of Hamlet

Starting point is 00:23:36 The Persian Gulf in the Indian Ocean Duh Oh yeah MPV stands for multi-purpose vehicle Oh geez the African country with 800,000 people murdered in 1994 is Rwanda.
Starting point is 00:23:49 Rwanda. The Middle Eastern City featuring the Dome of the Rock is Jerusalem. You said Israel, but I can't give you that. Mad Men is the show with Pete Campbell and Staling cover. If I wouldn't have been so slow, I would have
Starting point is 00:24:03 gotten that one. Exactly. Diana Princess of Wales Memorial is in Hyde Park and don't hide your land under a bushel. So let's get to a tie-break I think all the location stuff really threw me this week. And by the time I got, I felt like I was just spinning. Yeah, that'll happen.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Yeah. No, it totally is. And you get, you get caught up in the last question. Like, you'll say pass and then you'll start thinking about the last question. And you'll miss part of the next question. So, yeah. Yep. All right.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Let's do. Uh, no. Let's see. You gotta let it shine. Put it in the. bush okay uh let's see who's gonna be it over under and uh scott because you almost got the madman question i'm gonna let you said you almost got it yeah i like it i like it i'll take it i'm fine uh you get to choose whether you give the answer or the higher lower i'll do the higher low okay
Starting point is 00:25:09 all right uh brian what's my what's your name how many ski resorts are there in Colorado. Oh, Jesus. Resorts in this little state of mine. Yeah. Hey, can I call a friend? Ibit, how many ski resorts are in? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Should be a rule that if the friend's the host, you can't call them. Yeah, you can call it. Right, right, right. Dang it. For some reason, 63 is popping a mind, and that just doesn't seem right, but I'm going to go with it anyway. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Scott, is the actual answer higher or lower than 63? Individual ski resorts. Yes. That seems too high. I'm going to say lower. You chose the right, you chose correctly. Only 26. Wow.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Starting with our first major ski resort, which opened 1940, Winter Park. Oh, very nice. Is it still a growing concern? People would go there? Yeah. Still, still a popular and still a place you can go.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Popular. Yeah, the reason that number seemed too high is like, like, it's like us for us. We only have so much room. The reason it seemed really high was that it was really high. Well, that's a good point. Yeah. And plus, Brian,
Starting point is 00:26:17 Brian lives in South Carolina where there are how many ski resorts? What is a ski resort? Yes, exactly. There are, let's see, Utah, by comparison, 14. That's about what I figured somewhere in that range. Is that what you guys have there? Yeah. According to the current 2025 to 2025 to 2026 ski season,
Starting point is 00:26:34 as of right now, there are 14. I don't know when they, if anything recent has happened. But there's talk of expansion in central Utah, and I don't know what that means, but Bryce, there's already Bryce and some other stuff down there. Anyway, yeah. Well, there you go. An Alta.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Yeah, there's lots of beautiful places to ski. Let's go ski. How many ski resorts are in South Carolina? Probably one, right? There's probably at least a few. I'm probably somebody in South Carolina is yelling right. We have eight. And I'm like, okay, all right.
Starting point is 00:27:00 It's not near me. Could be Bobby yelling on them that you have eight. It could be. Stop it, Bobby. Well, that's great. He flies over them all the time. What did our winners win? Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Going to Roman Mirror, who's going to get a copy of Cosmic, Express and Strider. Nice. Strader is great. Brad Barber is going to get a copy of simple planes and all of these are courtesy of our friend
Starting point is 00:27:21 Zamabee. Ex, excellent. Zama be. Zama B. Those are excellent choices all around. Great games. Everybody kind of won. In fact, let's just give out a big victory pickle. You get a victory pickle.
Starting point is 00:27:34 Donaway, look, your chance to redeem yourself will happen on Wednesday. Yeah. You'll come prepared. You'll be ready for whatever ails you. here for the feud. Yeah. That's very exciting stuff. Is there anything you'd like to say before then in your defense?
Starting point is 00:27:49 Sure. Eternal Darkness tonight is spooky season for the Play Retro show. Get your gaming in now, baby. Not tonight. He means Wednesday night. No, I'm sorry. I'm playing tonight. Oh, you're going to stream some tonight.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Yeah. Tune in. You're playing it on disc, right? Yes. I'm playing it on Twitch. Yeah, but are you playing it on a disc? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I got my game cube up and running.
Starting point is 00:28:15 Such a freak, dude. He's got this game kid. Where's that image you sent me of the GameCube? Oh, yeah, yeah. He's probably in Discord. Yeah, see if I can find it. Take it all the, take it apart to fix something and just left it. There's something about that that I just love.
Starting point is 00:28:28 Yeah, here. Naked, naked, naked cute. I like that. Here it is. Look at this Happy Halloween image from Dunnowan. He's got his cube out. It's got his 3D printed game cube holder for his controller. His wave bird.
Starting point is 00:28:40 It's a wavebird, right? Mm-mm. No? Nope, no. I didn't get the wave bird out this time. Nope. It looks like the wave bird. Is the same color? Is the same color?
Starting point is 00:28:49 Yes, it's just a regular old kind. Got a cable hidden. I loved my wave bird, then. Oh, my gosh. I love the way. Yeah, look at the guts of the game cube. Are kind of hot, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:59 It's compact. I love it. Yeah, I'm in the sexy inside. Yeah, I like that. I like to fit everything into that little cube shape. Yeah. So I get it. Don't hide your light in a bushel or a game cube.
Starting point is 00:29:09 That's right. Yeah. or a bush. That sounds great. I can't wait to talk about that at more, or at length more on Wednesday. The words will come to me eventually. Have a fantastic day.
Starting point is 00:29:21 We'll see you next time. Bye. Hey, I just noticed. Yeah. We did get a reply from Nicole, but I think she's recommending something you have recommended. I've talked about it. I can't remember if I...
Starting point is 00:29:32 I could have sworn you did, but maybe not. For a recommendal. I don't think I did use it for a recommendal, but we'll allow it. Is QuickSack. dot LI searchable? It is. Sorry, quick TMS.
Starting point is 00:29:43 QuickTMS.coms. It kind of is. It kind of is. I think we've just talked about it so much with Let's see. Sugar. It's sworn. Oh yeah, here you go.
Starting point is 00:30:00 No, wait. I can't read it. The research results are weird. I know. The search results appear. There's some problems with the search. Yeah, oh, she recommended it back May 29th, 2024, but season one.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Oh, okay. So she wants to talk about season two. That's fine. Yep. Did she send me a clip? She did. We'll use that. She did. All right, excellent. Well, looks like I need to fix some search results pages on here.
Starting point is 00:30:30 That's weird. It just didn't have the container background or whatever. Yeah. Very odd. Yeah, exactly. All right, you guys, it is that time. I don't see her on yet. Who manages that website anyway?
Starting point is 00:30:41 Yeah, who does that? Who's in charge of that? I mean, can we call that in? Get IT on that? Ice worm. Just kidding. It's an ice worm. Yeah, but he'll be alright if he takes the blame.
Starting point is 00:30:51 It's not a problem. Yeah, yeah. I pay him to take the blame. We are going to, we're going to start. She'll join us when she joins us. Cool. It's always a little bit of a slapdash with Nicole. So that's just how it is.
Starting point is 00:31:05 It is. We'll survive. But let's get in here anyway. and play this. Well, what do you recommend? It's time for recommendals. That's right, a chance for us to talk about the stuff. We've seen on streaming services
Starting point is 00:31:18 that we think you at home might enjoy as well. And we have a grand tradition here. While we wait for Nicole, we have Brian. Well, he starts either way. Either way, we like to start with Brian. Either way. Yeah. So let's start with Brian.
Starting point is 00:31:28 What do you got? Sure. I've got a series that was initially built as a mini-series, but apparently has gotten renewed for a second season. I'm actually going to say you can watch the first season, the first eight episodes, and be just fine. If you enjoy them, continue on. But this is something that Matthew Reese recently, recently got an Emmy Award for. Oh, very nice.
Starting point is 00:32:01 The thing I was going to recommend until this week, but I'm going to wait until next because I'm not quite done with it. Also features Matthew Reese. Oh. And it's probably not what anyone thinks. You'll be surprised. You'll be surprised. All right. Let me do that for, oh, you know, it'd be good if I had your recommendal down.
Starting point is 00:32:20 That would be good. That's a me problem. That's Scott screwing up is what that is. Okay, here we go. I'll play it. Everything's ready. Here we go. Hi there.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Hi. Listen, I couldn't help but notice that you took our picture. What? So I'm going to need to ask you to delete the photo. What are you talking about? Just believe that, no, my feelings. We're on vacation and I was taking a picture of my daughter. Oh, you think I'm an idiot?
Starting point is 00:32:49 Mom, maybe it just... Do you know the funny thing is, is if you'd asked, if you'd been upfront about it, I might have taken a selfie with you, but it's the sneaking around that I don't appreciate. I really don't. Sir, this is a public establishment. I'm not breaking any laws.
Starting point is 00:33:06 That's my property! Hey, hey, hey, hey. Ma'am. I could file a police report. Yeah, this is not. Chicken Pomodora. And the brandzino. Can I get you anything else?
Starting point is 00:33:27 No, I think we're perfect. I do not know this at all. What is this? This is called The Beast in Me. And it is a psychological crime thriller that gives you not a whodunit, but more like did he done it? uh, Matthew Reese plays a guy named Niles, I'm sorry, Nile, Jarvis, who is a public figure, uh, from kind of a, uh, a real estate family, real estate magnet family, who also, um, fell under question because he, uh, allegedly killed his first wife and was acquitted of it.
Starting point is 00:34:08 But, uh, there's always been question, um, if he did it or not. And, and, you know, you can kind tell. Maybe he's got a little tiny bit of a temper, as you heard in that clip. I couldn't tell if that actually happened or if he was fantasizing that it happened because the way it cut to him ordering food right after. Right, right. I did take out a little. It was about 20 seconds of him walking back from the other table at the restaurant to the one with Claire Daines. Sure. But, uh, oh, Claire Daines. Claire Daines is our other star of this, the show. And she is in full Claire Dane's mode, which means, I know what you're being. This face right here. That face exactly. Like she, listen, Claire Daines, I never saw my soul called life. I picked up with Claire Daines with, uh, um, homeland in which for eight seasons or however long it was, she played, uh, the most frantic FBI agent.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Known to man. Yeah. Yeah. Carver in CIA FBI, but, uh, she continued. continues that that frantic like like anywhere from i lost my phone to uh my foot just fell off kind of reaction from claire daines yeah but she's very good in this she plays an author named uh aggie who is um who matthew reese's character moves in next door to um next door these houses are huge and very far apart but uh he knows that she's an author and so he kind of worms his way into getting her to write his biography, which would help kind of exonerate him by, you know, basically giving his side of the story and, uh, and, and explaining that he did not kill his ex-wife. Right. And, uh, it's not based on anything real or not, not based on anything
Starting point is 00:36:05 real. Nope. This is purely, um, purely fiction. Um, what follows is basically the, the characters almost becoming each other you know uh claire daines's character becomes a little bit more aggressive and angry and violent and and uh matthew reese's character becomes a little bit more um sedate and and considerate at times i don't want to give anything away but um sometimes you can't a leopard can't change its spots uh uh reese got the uh lead actor best lead actor in a limited or anthology series for this with the Emmys. The show itself got Outstanding Limited or Anthology series, which is kind of funny because now it's getting a season two,
Starting point is 00:36:54 so it's no longer a limited series. So it could actually win in a different category next year for, yeah. Yeah, that's weird how that works. I didn't know you could change your, I guess you can, if something goes well, you can do whatever you want. Yeah, below the dome or under the dome, the Stephen King thing was originally supposed to be a limited series and it got a second season.
Starting point is 00:37:13 been, by the way. It should have been a limited series. It could have really knocked it out of the park. That first season was great. It was really good. It was like the hero's problem. It's like, just stop. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Exactly. Yes. So is he, he won two, one for this and one for the... And one for Widows Bay. And no one's ever done that before, right? No, the record first person to get both a dramatic acting Emmy and a comedic. I'd hardly call Widows Bay comedy, but it does kind of fit more in that. genre than it's definitely got some dark yeah quirky comedy yeah Stephen root winning was an
Starting point is 00:37:49 amazing moment Stephen root Stephen root's such an important part of my freaking fabric my entertainment world he's so good I love it but here's the thing about Matthew Reese so he's yeah he's in the thing I'm going to talk about next week I wouldn't say what it is it's not like a huge surprise but the they made a golden axe animated show oh about the old Sega game golden an ass. So like the character's axe. I forgot her name, the Valkyry lady, and then I forgot his name too, but he plays the little dwarf guy. Okay. And at first I didn't know it was him. And I was like, who's doing this? They are killing it. This is like some throwaway idea where they're making fun of an old 16 bit video game. It's a jokey as hell, kind of a, not super adult. Like,
Starting point is 00:38:30 we're not talking Rick and Morty levels of adult, but it's clearly aimed at like. Does he keep his British accent for the, for the voice work? He does. It's Welsh, right? So it's very, a Welsh, that's right. Fickly Welsh, which works at first I was like, wait, why isn't this, this, everyone makes the dwarf Scottish for whatever reason. Sure. Why isn't this dwarf Scottish? And then I looked it up, but then I was really enjoying it.
Starting point is 00:38:54 And I'm like, kind of like it that he's not Scottish. I look it up and like, Matthew Reese, what are you doing this year, dude? You are killing it. And this is such a weird little offshoot, but Daniel Pouty's in it. Oh, really? Here I am doing a recommendal. I'll save it for next week. It's very, very good.
Starting point is 00:39:09 But anyway, he is, his voice work is incredible in it. That guy can do anything. He's excellent. Yeah, he really can. Like, his Perry Mason was fantastic. Just really, really good. Let me tell you some other people. If I, you know, if you didn't already have enough reason to go to watch this thing,
Starting point is 00:39:25 I'm going to tell you that Natalie Morales is in this, The Beast in Me. She's fantastic. And Jonathan Banks, Herman Trout. Love, Armand Trout. At his most ermine troutiest, he plays the dad. He plays Nile's dad. I see Bill Irwin's in this. We just talked about him because he's the Cyclops and the Odyssey and the guy that kicks the hat and Popeye.
Starting point is 00:39:49 Yeah, Mr. Nudle and the old Elmo stuff. He fascinates me. They need to be, by the time we're done with his career, could we please just get some big three-part documentary. Retrospective on who that guy is, you know? For sure. Crazy. He, let's see, this is also produced by Conan O'Brien and, uh, uh, Judy Foster. Weird.
Starting point is 00:40:12 This series. So what a combo, right? Yeah, very strange combo. Yeah. I like it, though. I've heard nothing but brave, so. It's, it's fantastic. Can't, uh, can't recommend enough.
Starting point is 00:40:22 And even if Claire Daines kind of irritates you a little bit, the more you, the more you see of those kinds of characters she plays, she's very good. I like, I, I, I, I, I, her freneticness is actually, it works for me. I'm not, I don't have a problem with it. I know some people are good. put off by it. We had to take breaks between the seasons
Starting point is 00:40:39 of homeland because of that. She's pretty hyped up. Yeah. In a way that's... Yeah. I mean, it works for the characters. Maybe they're pigeonholing her a little bit. Although, I don't know if you ever saw her in...
Starting point is 00:40:51 Oh, the one about the autistic animal expert. I'm going to find it because I loved it so much. Yes. From Colorado. Yeah, I think that's correct. Temple Grand. that's it. Temple Grandin, yes. Wonderful movie.
Starting point is 00:41:09 And it's not her regular thing at all. Right. Yeah, no. She got an award for that, too. I actually brought Temple Grandin on stage with her when she accepted the award. Yeah, it was an HBO original. It's extremely good, you guys. Watch that, that thing. 8.2 on IMDB, no one gets that. That's high. That's hard. Yeah, it's hard to do on IMDB. She's really good. I'm not going to say anything, you know, bad about Claire Dane's abilities,
Starting point is 00:41:34 but she does play this kind of character very, very well. Yeah, she's good for the gig. Yes. All right. Cool. Any sign of Nicole yet? Not yet. No.
Starting point is 00:41:46 I don't know if she had a thing or forgot or what her deal is, but we'll soldier on. I'll go ahead and do mine. We'll see how it all turns out. Sounds good. Okay. So it's going to be a little bit weird. It's a little bit of a cheat. But I'm going to use it anyway.
Starting point is 00:42:02 I saw a bunch of things because I got in a mood and I went kind of hard on it. I don't know if it's like a sign of ADHD or what it is, but once in a while I'll do this. I'll do this with certain video game genres, a certain genre will pop up like for an indie, indie games are making a certain kind of subgenre. And I'll just go, I need to try all of these that everyone's making that's like this. I want to compare them. I want to see what the differences are. I just do this sometimes.
Starting point is 00:42:31 just didn't me to do it. I've done it on Corbunch. Drives people a little bit crazy. But for whatever reason, sometimes this happens with TV. And so, like the addiction stuff that I talked about last time, I went on a tear from like two weeks. You went deep into the, yeah. Everybody who had an addiction documentary, I watched it. Even some crappy ones on YouTube. I was just into it, right? So this week, it appears that that obsession has shifted to nature documentaries. But specifically, the old stuff from either nature or mutual of Omaha or all the old shit from our childhood, they're all on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:43:11 You can find all of them there. And I've been watching those like back to back to back to back. So I'm just going to play a clip. This is representative of more of what I watched. And I'll talk about one in particular here in a second that's more modern for those that don't want to go back and look at the retro stuff. But I'm telling you, it's a treasure trove.
Starting point is 00:43:28 It's both nostalgic and also, like really great stuff, amazing footage for the time. Like we always say about the Attenboroughs now, we're like, oh, can you believe that Earth documentary captured those two monkeys eating a pig for the first time or whatever they do? It's, there's moments like that in, you know, the 70s and 80s and 90s that you're just like, wow, I forgot how cool documentaries like this are. Anyway, been all into nature lately, a lot of bugs for whatever reason.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Here's my clip. In horror, the Spaniards withdrew dismissing this land as an arid hell. to God or to man. And they're talking about the Colorado, that's a Colorado River thing and the nature around it. So they're talking about Colorado, Utah, and Arizona in that documentary and how the Spaniards, when they first got there, freaking hated it so bad.
Starting point is 00:44:15 They were dropping like flies. They were certain it was, like he said, a hell on earth, a place for souls to go before they went to the final hell destination. Oh, wow. Okay. That they bailed. But then later some other explorers came and, you know,
Starting point is 00:44:28 now we live here. but anyway, that was just one little piece. That was from the documentary or the show Nature. People, I remember that on PBS back in the day. Oh, I remember that. Yeah. And I watched a bunch of those, a bunch of mutual of Omaha. So a bunch of that.
Starting point is 00:44:46 And then. Who was his sidekick that actually? Oh, I don't remember. I don't remember his name. Marlon Kurt Perkins and. Yeah. But you always come on after. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:58 I always used to come on right after the. wonderful world of Disney or something. Yeah. And so I just remember the music playing right after. It was so good. So I watched a bunch of those. And then here's one I settled on that. I just think people will enjoy.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Again, these are all on YouTube so you can just go watch them. There is a channel called FD, which stands for full documentary. Kind of on the nose. Yeah. And they have one on there about Malaysia that blew my mind. and also had an amazing narrator. I'll just play a little tiny bit of this audio.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Great placement of the play button on that. Yeah, right on the eye. Bring Nantes' head. Yeah, perfect. Listen to this guy talk here. Let me just pull up a piece. Oh, whoops. Let me turn it up.
Starting point is 00:45:45 The blanket of life under which they are now covered colonized these islands in an instant. He's got a vibe to a man. Wow. Yeah. So that one is called Wild Malaysia. and you can find that for free. It's all just up on the
Starting point is 00:46:01 up on the YouTubers. But anyway, I found all the old stuff. Just look for the picture of Zorak on the cover. Yeah, exactly. I just went on a tear. I'm still not done. I really enjoy having this on in the background. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Chills me out, man. Just nature. Screw man. Nature's cooler. I know we're part of nature, but we're kind of a problem right now. I'd rather focus on, you know, these weird little ecosystems.
Starting point is 00:46:24 Some of it's brutal. Like I watched these army ants and these, they were also called soldier termites. So soldier termites and army ants going at it over control of a certain mound or whatever. My gosh, dude. At a microscopic level, the shit those bugs do to each other.
Starting point is 00:46:44 Really? Oh, man. It's brutal. I'm sure. I'm sure. Yeah, when you're watching their mandibles, like, yeah, it's really gnarly. So anyway, that's my recommendation this week is all the nature documentaries. And if you have to start with one, do that wild Malaysia one. amazing. So there's that. All right, Nicole has joined us. Hi, Nicole. How are you? Hello. Can you hear me?
Starting point is 00:47:05 Yeah. Yes, we sure can. We weren't sure we were going to hear from you. Everything going okay? Well, I didn't have the link. Oh. Oh, that's always the same link, by the way. Yeah. I just need a bookmark it. No, no worries. I could have, I should have sent that. I should do that just bit with habit and I didn't do it. Or just put it pin it to the top of the discord. Sometimes you run late. Sometimes. like yeah you never know usually we'll add you and have you muted if we're going long so you can at least hear us wrapping up but it's all good
Starting point is 00:47:35 I'm just glad you're here you're gonna you're gonna recommend something that sounds like a bit of a callback to a season one recommend until you made a couple years ago yeah it's the only thing I've really watched that's all good I finished it it is wonderful I mentioned it last time I have thoughts
Starting point is 00:47:55 I don't want to spoil it Have either? Okay, go ahead. Oh, yeah. I'm a big, I'm a big fan. Brian's a massive fan. He's been telling me to watch this for, well, for years now. Oh, I love it so much. Well, here it is. I'll play a bit of the trailer, and then we'll talk about it. Here you go. Los Angeles. It's a big city. But it gets lonely. I have to stay busy.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Start your engines. I'm sorry. You didn't tell me Shay Wiggin was in this, Brian. I did. Did you tell me that? Totally. Totally told you that last time, yeah. I think a little P came out just now. All right. I thought for sure that would be like a draw. I was like, by the way, this got shit.
Starting point is 00:48:37 Oh, it is. I must have deflected or something because I don't remember it. Now I want to stop the show and just go watch the show. You are going to binge this hard. I love that, dude. All right, here's more. John Shoker. I'm a private investigator.
Starting point is 00:48:53 May your brother's missing. He's on the run. He's on the run from some dangerous people. Hard enough finding someone who doesn't want to be found. Even harder when it's a race. Oh, yeah, dude. So tell us about Sugar Season 2. What'd you like?
Starting point is 00:49:14 So... Are you in an elevator, by the way? What am I hearing back there? No, I... Do-do-do-do-do-do. Oh, I thought that was the music coming from you. Nope. That ain't me.
Starting point is 00:49:24 No. Oh, it... Mark has the music on. I don't hear it because I had my hair on. Oh. You must have us on a room mic or something or something's picking it up. Well, I went through and I checked to make sure it was... You sound fine enough.
Starting point is 00:49:42 Yeah, exactly, yeah. All right, I'm sorry. No, you're good. Hey, Mark, could you kill that music? Oh, it's killed. The music I just killed, he says. I can't hear him. I can't hear it.
Starting point is 00:49:55 I love it. All right. Anyway, sorry, go ahead. All right, so Sugar, Season 2, finished up. because it's Apple TV, they of course release it like once a one or two a week. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:08 So the last time we talked, I had just noticed there was a season two. I wasn't sure how for those that've never watched the show, I'm not going to give anything away other than to tell you that Sugar is a private detective and he is heavily influenced
Starting point is 00:50:26 with old, like, old movies, like classic, like film noir kind of stuff. And you get this wonderful view of how he sees the world through these movies. I love it so much.
Starting point is 00:50:46 He is kind of autistic in the sense that a lot of things are black and white for him. And the way that he views the world is so pure. and I just love him. I know Colin Farrell is not sugar, but I want him to be.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Because I've never really enjoyed him as an actor. Really? I love him now. That sounds crazy to me. I love him. I know. I can't think of a thing I didn't enjoy him in, even the old shit.
Starting point is 00:51:23 In Bruges, Benchies and Sharon. It's not all phone booth. No. No. I even like phone booth. I like it all, man. Bring it on. That guy can do no wrong.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Go ahead. They have set up this series to every season to have a new case that he's working on. And you have the through story, the kind of the overarching thing of him looking for his sister, who he doesn't know what happened to her. He loves her dearly. And it's kind of why he's in the line of work that he's in. Because his whole thing is defying missing people. and the complexity that goes with that
Starting point is 00:52:03 and the drug lords and there's just so many great characters that are built in this world. I love it so much and I finished it this weekend. I'm like, oh, I'm kind of sad that this is over. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:52:19 I got a season three coming though, right? Didn't they get a... Oh, did they? I hope so. I thought they announced it. I thought I heard, I'm better. A lot of stuff's getting renewal talk right now and I may have confused it,
Starting point is 00:52:29 I think I heard that. I mean, it's Apple TV. I feel like... They let her breathe. They got the money. Yeah. Yeah. They tend to let these.
Starting point is 00:52:38 And I'm kind of ridiculous because I keep telling everybody about this show. I'm like, have you seen sugar? Have you seen sugar? Like, please watch it. Here's my example of what I think would have happened. And this is just speculation. So take it whatever grain of salt you want. But when For All Mankind came out,
Starting point is 00:52:56 that's the kind of show that needed a slow burn. and I think any other channel or streamer, and it includes Netflix, as an example, I think would have canceled it after the first season because I don't think that would have given it enough runway to gather near enough fandom to like, you know, because that show is amazing. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:53:16 For All Mankind is one of the best ever. And for whatever reason, Apple's shown willingness to say, if we're starting one, we're going to go all the way. I don't know that they've canceled much. If they've canceled anything, I'm unaware of it. And there are, and a lot of sci-fi and genre stuff. Like that foundation series is kind of not hard to get into, but it's a little, like the books,
Starting point is 00:53:34 it's a little heavy. It's very heavy. Yeah, I enjoyed it once I get into it. But yeah, it's, it is not background watching for sure. Neither. Sorry, go ahead. I will tell you about the one thing I will give you a hint since you haven't seen it. There is sci-fi in this show.
Starting point is 00:53:51 Yeah, Brian mentioned, he had mentioned it. I don't have any clue as to how or what. I just know that it's why Stephen Schleiker hates it, right? I'm surprised. I'm surprised I even said that. But if you said that I told you sci-fi, then I must have. Somebody, if it wasn't you, I don't know who it was, because I don't know anybody else is talking. I could I, I would be even vaguer than that if I said anything.
Starting point is 00:54:18 Maybe it was Stephen. Stephen Pop. Maybe he said it when he was complaining about it. You know what? Actually, she probably did, yes. Yeah. I was trying to convince Mateo to watch this with me. And I finally, I was like, I'm just going to tell you.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Just can tell you what it is. I just, he's like, you spoiled it. I'm like, man, now you want to watch it, don't you? Yeah. And there is that theory. Sometimes spoiling makes us want to do it. Still makes us mad. That's the way Wendy feels about it.
Starting point is 00:54:44 Sure. Well, that's awesome. I can't wait to see Sugar. I keep saying that, but if that was true, I'd be watching it tonight. So maybe I will. Maybe tonight. His relationship with, who was it that you said? in the that you were like
Starting point is 00:54:58 Colin so is in it Colum oh um Shay Wiggum I love him Shea Wiggin oh yeah So he he's like a What is he like an FBI agent Brian? He is a yes I think he's FBI
Starting point is 00:55:12 Tom Flyberg is the character Anna Guns in this too eh I'm sure Brian probably mentioned her too And I forgot I might not have mentioned Anna Gunn I can't remember She's in only six of the eight it looks like of the first season. Oh no of any of the whole thing six total.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Okay. Yeah. I don't think we see her on the second season or maybe we see her at the very beginning of the second season. In fact, it's funny. The only person that's in all 16 is Colin Farrell. Everyone else is no more than nine for James Cromwell has nine. Everyone else is like eight or six. Oh, really? He's in. So he shows up in, so he got a totally, like Wiggum was in season one. And then he kind of pops up like one time in season two. Wiggins, Wiggins and eight of them. So it's pretty good. Okay. It's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:55:56 Yeah. Yeah, I'm all in on this. I just don't know what my problem is. So I'll get to it. And you said Carter watched it and loved it, right? She loved it. Loved it and loved it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:08 And the other one, the other one I haven't seen that she really liked. Shit, I can't remember. The one you, the Mike, or what's his name, Reese just won for? Oh, yeah, the beast in me. No, the other one. Oh, no, no, Widows Bay. Widows Bay. I still haven't seen freaking Widows Bay.
Starting point is 00:56:23 I need to watch Widows Bay next. Yeah, I think that's too much shit piling up. That's going to be a good Halloween watch, actually. Yeah. I got choice paralysis right now. Yeah. Since it is October now, we have started our annual over the garden wall on Hulu watching. That is also.
Starting point is 00:56:43 Carter and her friends are also doing that right now. You guys would all hang out together. You should all get in the same Discord room and watch that thing. I'm excited to watch. Watch it with your kids. Yeah. I'm excited to watch Carrie. the new Flamagan deal starts this week.
Starting point is 00:56:58 Oh, yeah. Yeah. Is that, how's that being received? Is it doing all right? I don't know. I don't know if, um, see if we got anything on that here. Because that would be interesting.
Starting point is 00:57:11 I don't see it. Maybe there are no, uh, 2026. Yeah, there we go. Yeah, 84%, uh, not bad tomato meter. Nope, that's good. I mean, it's a, it's also meant to be a multi-season thing. They want to do three seasons. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:57:26 Okay, because I'm seeing limited series trailer. Oh, really? Hold on. Where did I read that? I've mixed up a bunch of shit today, so it would not surprise me if I did it again. All I know is Flanagan has never let me down. So let's go.
Starting point is 00:57:38 Let's do it. Yeah. Fantastic. Nicole, what's going on in the woodworking world or anything you'd like to mention today before we go? We just wrapped up our big charity auction on Friday, and we ended up raising $25,000. Good Lord.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Yes. Or an organization called the Purple Heart Project. And that organization is devoted to combat wounded veterans who are on a healing journey. So they basically create scholarships and bring them into, there's a gentleman by the name of Rob Cossman who handles these workshops, brings them in, teaches them hand-towl woodworking. It's all very kind of meditative and methodical. And they kind of build some skills in that way, but it's more just a healing journey. So we raised money to create scholarships for that program. Nice.
Starting point is 00:58:40 Very cool. Yeah, look at you guys. Kick an ass. I'm feeling I'm back. That was actually one of the things that when I got sick, dropped off. And I felt really bad about not being able to continue to do that. So I'm really happy I can do it now. That's really good.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Congratulations. And then lastly, tell Mark he can turn that terrible music back on. Bye now. All right. Hey, there you go. That was the recommendal we promised. That's right. It went nice.
Starting point is 00:59:09 It went well. This is about the jugs of pee. Got an email or a text here to read from mouse divided. Okay. A mouse divided cannot stand. Indeed. He says, hello, sausage and bell pepper. I wanted to add to the crustless pizza conversation with a quick high-fiber recipe I'd like to throw together sometimes.
Starting point is 00:59:30 Pizza beans! I mean, he had me at pizza beans. If I want to be honest here. Pizza beans, yep. It says, get an oven-safe skillet on the stove with olive oil. Add some drain and rinsed white beans or butter beans if you can find them. I do love those. I do like butter beans as well.
Starting point is 00:59:49 Yeah, it seems like such a rower. No, no, no, no. The food. It's rude to call it. people a butter bean though isn't it is yeah you don't want to call somebody butter bean yeah but i'll eat your beans anyway uh and some salt and pepper oregano saute until warm mix in a small amount of marinera and then top that with cheese uh and toppings like like you do with pizza and put it under the broiler i'd like to have one slice of toast with it but then eat the rest sands bread it's so good so filling and makes
Starting point is 01:00:12 two to three servings enjoy that sounds fan freaking it does sound really good so the beans themselves become the crust yeah interesting lots of protein beans are good for you for yeah although uh the more are you too the better you feel let's have beans with every meal i had a friend who got in a c-due accident like a jet ski accident yeah and uh had to have a bunch of his guts removed so he's got an ostomy bag from the accident oh geez he said i asked him once i said is there anything you can't eat like because now you know you got the bag is it just different he goes i can eat just about anything but i can't eat beans and i said Really, no beans at all.
Starting point is 01:00:54 And my brain's just like, well, you get a little fart bag going on. Like, you know, I didn't know what it would be. And he said, no, it causes like severe disruption to the whole process. It's terrible. Oh, wow. I don't know if this is true for everybody with an osteomy, but this guy, maybe the way his, because they had to have a bunch of his intestines removed. And it was a pretty awful accident.
Starting point is 01:01:14 It's a weird thing to have a process, I guess. Yeah. If you've had that happen. Wow. That's interesting. Yeah. I mean, they make me toot, but. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:21 I ain't got no bad. yet. I say yet, because who knows? Yeah. I hope not. Let's hope never. Let's hope not. Scott also wrote in, he has my name, so I must read this. He says, good morning, Benjamin Linus and Scott, not Steve. This is not about the jugs of pee. On Thursday, on the show, you were talking about the crustless pizza as a healthier option.
Starting point is 01:01:43 My wife makes homemade pizza with a protein crust. It's kind of what that bean thing is. Kind of, yeah. She's gluten-free and can have too many carbs. So this has been a great option for her. She blends together cooked chicken eggs. Sorry, good cooked chicken eggs. They're also chicken eggs.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Italian seasoning, cheese, cottage cheese, and breadcrumbs. She bakes it for 10 minutes and then adds her toppings and makes it for another 10 to 15. Other Scott signing out, Orange Monkey Eagle. Wow. Okay. Sounds like the American government, federal government right now. Orange Monkey Eagle, out. That sounds about right.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Yeah, that sounds good also. You know what? It does. Yeah. Let us know how it goes. Yeah. Let us know how it goes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:27 I got some butter beans right now. Not the boxer. Get those keeping coming. Keep those coming. That's what I meant to say. If you want to text us, you can go right over to the website. Frogpants.com. slash TMS.
Starting point is 01:02:40 There's a place to do it right there. And if you'd rather email us, the morning stream at gmail.com. There will be an episode of the Monday show today, although today it will be at 1230 instead of one. Carter's got a doctor's appointment. We have to do it a little early. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Outside of that, I think that's all I've got. Brian, you got anything hot today going on? Nothing recorded for me today, although we did post an episode of Lost Luggage over the weekend. It is our season one, season finale, Exodus, Parts 1 and 2. And, you know, we finally get that damn hatch open, but we don't know what's inside until the next episode. I'll bet there's a Mr. Crabs voice actor in there. If I had to guess. Is there though?
Starting point is 01:03:25 The Gurgen or whatever he's, Kiergen. Is there though? Or is there? Oh yeah. You don't even have your guy yet. No. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:37 I mean, it's an old show and I want to spoil it. It's an old show. You can kind of spoil it. Yeah. I think. But it's great. That was such an amazing opener that season. And TV's, it really was.
Starting point is 01:03:46 And TV's Travis and Phil have already seen episode one of season two. So even if we. talked about it here. We're way offset with our episode postings and recordings. We're safe. For good reason, yes. Yeah, good news. All right, that's it. Then frogpants.com slash TMS for all your stuff. Go check it out. As always, lots of new things happening. There's new comics going up every day. I have a few people mad at me for yesterday's. Can I show this real fast? Is that the, do? Oh, no, that was the, what was yesterday's yesterday? I don't know if I saw yesterday. It's the, I mean, anytime you bring up anything religious, people get mad.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Oh, I did see this. Yes, because it was somebody's post or quote or something. Yeah, it was a post, so I put it up as part of the thing, this guy on, I don't even remember where I got it, threads or somewhere. Everyone is tough until Jesus shows up in a white horse. Now, what he clearly meant was on a white horse. Right. When I first sketched this just for, just for fun info, instead of having Jesus pop out of a
Starting point is 01:04:48 of a horse costume, a white horse costume and saying, to-da, which is, if you're listening, that's what we're looking at here. Instead of that, I had him crawling out of the bloody corpse of an actual white horse. Oh, God. Yeah. So if you want to be mad at me, me mad for the sketch, I almost did. You know what I mean? I'm more disturbed by what I can't see.
Starting point is 01:05:09 Who's in the back of the horse? He's the back, I know. This is the thing that A, I didn't think about from a physics standpoint, obviously. And B, if there's someone back there, that poor guy's right up in it. Right up, yeah. Right up in the butt there. Right up in the hem of his garment. You know what I mean.
Starting point is 01:05:30 Yes. Oh, and shout out to this rando who probably has no idea that I did this. I know. That's the best part. Jeremy Corius, wherever you're from. Someone could probably find him and tell him. In fact, if someone in the tadpool wants to reach out on wherever this name is and say, hey, do you see this thing that got made?
Starting point is 01:05:47 Did you know that your comment, your typo got turned into a comment? I'd be like, I'd like to know what his reaction would be. Yeah. Just curious. Anyway, that's all fun. Newduck.com for that. Brian, let's leave with a song. You have a song?
Starting point is 01:06:01 Yeah, this is not a request, but a fellow tadpuller and a fellow musician. Well, I'm not a musician, so I don't want to say that. But Tanner, who you just heard recently on an episode of the instance talking about the guild, the core guild. He's also a musician, and he's a very talented one at that. He just dropped four new tracks on SoundCloud a couple weeks ago, and they are going like gangbusters, especially this one right here. The one we're going to play is the one that's got the most listens.
Starting point is 01:06:33 It's a song called Crash Into Me. This is our friend Tanner. It's awesome. Think you're going to dig it. And here you go. I saw your name. I want to come down your voice in my headphones too loud, too loud. I got nowhere to be.
Starting point is 01:07:00 So stay here with me. Something true. Trash into me. Listen to this mashup and many more after the show by visiting patreon.com slash mashup guild. It's a sunflower song. I look like a lumberjack and I don't care. I have sleepy eyes and stupid wet hair. Medicated nipple cream. Medicated nipple cream that I rub on myself.
Starting point is 01:09:46 I'm going to take my pigeon to Las Vegas strip and going to ride till I can't know more When the tomatoes are black When my nipples crack When I'm feeling sad I'm a lumberjack And I'm okay
Starting point is 01:10:00 I think I'm straight And I'm definitely not gay Like if you are a hairy hairy hairy people with lots of wrinkles Harry, hairy people With lots of wrinkles I'm a lumberjack and who's to say I like to sell old
Starting point is 01:10:16 stuff on eBay. Hello. Oh, it's me. Hello, it's me. I'm wondering if you got the 45 voice messages I sent. Eminem has a tiny penis. But that wasn't really her. I don't want a lot for Christmas.
Starting point is 01:10:36 There's just one thing I need. There's a bigger penis than Eminem can possibly be. Tell me two times. I'm going a lot. No way. Rocking down, drive. Colorado. Colorado.
Starting point is 01:10:52 It's public domain music. We can play it legally public domain music. That's right, but don't worry, the YouTube channel's already canceled. We can't post anything. So freaking F those guys. Gonna buy socks and going to buy shoes.
Starting point is 01:11:09 I might need some toothpaste while I'm here. I wonder if my bodyguard called in my thing at the farm. Go to the checkout, gonna buy a gun. Find all our shows at frogpants.com. But whoever he was, he's weird and pissed off.
