Starting point is 00:00:01 Don't. On his angel loves me. Get the last to your head. I'm going to win. Jeffrey. Looking good, man. You're on one, baby. Coach Prime, baby.
Starting point is 00:00:19 We're back. We're back. We're back. All right. And welcome back to episode. Oh, I didn't look it up. But I think it's 0-1-26, if my memory serves me correctly. Episode 0-1-26 right at the top of the screen of the OK podcast powered by the Strength Co.
Starting point is 00:00:34 I'm your host, Grant Broji. And we're recording live from Newport, Rhode Island. For some of you with a Southern education or maybe a southern homeschooled education. So this place existed prior to America. Okay. So Christopher Columbus, Tony Suprano told you guys, he's an American hero in this household. And so, you know, Newport's. been around for a while since it predates the Marines, which is crazy to me. I have swallowed the
Starting point is 00:01:10 pill and I understand that the Marine Corps predates America, but I didn't really think that anything predated the Marine Corps. But Newport, Rhode Island, rich history here, the richest of histories. I'm in the greater Boston area. So if you were to put a pin in Boston and then make the area greater, eventually you end up in Newport, Rhode Island, about 60 miles away. Also joining me in studio is major Jeff Buege, Jeff Bouget. I do like when people message me things about the
Starting point is 00:01:42 podcast that they enjoy. And I think I've probably seen I have it somewhere in an Excel file, 119 different spellings of Jeff's last name. Which is difficult no matter how you cut it, but I think I make it more difficult by the pronunciation. It's Biggie
Starting point is 00:01:58 like Smalls. That's not how you spell it. But he's in the greater Salt Lake City area. If you put a pin in Salt Lake, and make the circle bigger and bigger and bigger until you reach Alabama, which is to the west of Georgia, and Georgia is directly south from Ohio. So this is, we've got big brains here, 10,000-pound brains, 10,000,000 years old mind.
Starting point is 00:02:21 That's right. So we want to teach you some American geography. And then if you were to go from Montgomery, Alabama, which is the greater Salt Lake City area, put a pin in Montgomery and drag it west. you would come to Texas, which is a very large state, but not the largest in the country. Again, it's an educational podcast, not the largest. In Texas, they're what we call King of the Wild Frontier, and they like to wear hats and boots
Starting point is 00:02:52 and really talk about themselves a lot and how great they are. And in a very important area of Texas, which is north of Dallas, which is north of Dallas, when she's north east of El Paso is a little town called Frisco. And that's where Trey Gottlach is joining us from today. So put that all on the map and kind of picture it in your mind. And it's like we're all in the same room together, really. This podcast, Power Brother Stranko, that has a warehouse if you went all the way west in California. But also if you went north and stopped before you hit Canada on the western side of the
Starting point is 00:03:31 Great Lakes, you'd be in Wisconsin. So think Chicago, drive north, and that's where our plates are maybe. We have 250 pound, not 250 pound, America 250 plate coming out. That would have been good too. That would have been good to America 250 plate coming out really soon. A lot of you have already pre-bought it, which we appreciate your orders. Make sure you're signed up. Good news is it's at coding. It's a final coding. It's actually in the process of the coding where the flag is being coded. So you'll probably see some social media posts and stuff on that. You want to make sure you're signed up. It is a limited run.
Starting point is 00:04:05 That's not me trying to scare you, but it is a limited run. You want to get it. And I think we've been saying Veterans Day, but I think probably first week of October is when you'll be able to buy it. No, it will not be on sale for Black Friday. So you are going to pay a premium because our founders paid a premium. Okay? And so you're going to pay a premium.
Starting point is 00:04:26 And that's just the way it goes. this episode 0126, we have a ton to talk about. The price of Bitcoin is $78,780, just short of being doubled from when this podcast started just a measly 126 episodes ago. So go buy some Bitcoin and drive that price up. A lot to talk about today. But with that, I'll turn it over to the three. Hey, thanks.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Appreciate that intro there. Great map lesson. I feel like we just got a PME there. I hope the deuce was listening. I hope the deuce you're taking good notes. I see that note taking gear out. So you're taking good notes. That's good to go.
Starting point is 00:05:07 That's good trash. What do you think about maybe bringing the company grades over, brother? And we could kind of teach some field grade map work, you know, because I think at the company grade, they're always turning the map around. But we want to think about it as field grades is, what does the map look like from the sea or the air, if you will. Yeah, yeah. But never forgetting that three dimensional. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:26 They're thinking two. D. When you put on those oak leaves, things get a little heavier. Your brain gets a little older, but, you know, thousand more years old. And then you start seeing it in three dimensions. Brother, if you're not working that brain as a field grade, you know, you're not the future war fighter that we need, brother. That's right.
Starting point is 00:05:45 That's right. Hey, man, I just found this new spot out in Vermont, man. They put, they really put the pine forward in those IBEUs. Crazy. They got a, they got a dip a. You had a DIPA before? A DIPA? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Tell me more. Is it a double? Are they dry hopping it? Are they dry hopping it? Dude, they're not filtering anything. It's just AZ. Comes in at like 8.2% man. Wife goes to bed.
Starting point is 00:06:14 Have a couple dippas. Yeah, brother. That's what I'm talking about. I think Trey would go get some dipas. I think Trey's a pacifist now. He went to go get the map. He was like, I got to hold on. I got to trying to triangulate my position.
Starting point is 00:06:33 From where Grant was just getting a rundown. Brother, I know that we're having a sidebar, but in my role as trash five, let's try to keep the sidebars to a minimum. Oh, hey, brother. I hear you. I hear you. Yeah, I hear you. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Okay. Back to the agenda here. Looks again, looks like about only a third of you updated your slides, at least in the right location. I do see that some people updated slides in the incorrect folders, folders in the archive folder, because we would like to archive everything. We always have an archive and we always go back and consult those archives like we do our AARs. So again, let's just get better next week with updating the slides. So with that, let's take it over to the one. How are the numbers doing? No, no, that's the obnoxious Boston one. I can't remember his name.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Oh, sir, Lieutenant Bena. There he is. Sorry, I'm late. I was doing trash six's laundry. And I just couldn't quite get in the room on time. Let's see. The numbers. The socks are trailing right now,
Starting point is 00:07:40 four to one last I checked. I actually wasn't doing trash sixes laundry. I was watching a game on my Nesson app through my Apple watch. And then the two stopped me and said, I can't bring an Apple watch in the meeting room. So it's out there. Go socks. The numbers are all bumped.
Starting point is 00:07:54 We still having pay issues. If you haven't pay issues, like I said, just tell the local gunnery sergeant. We change them like socks around here, not red socks, but just, you know, like socks on your feet. And so it's always a new gunny learning his job for the first time. I know we have a lot of field grade, still not getting correctly paid. Gentlemen, we'll get you on the back end. I can't really as a lieutenant fathom, like maybe having a family and children and my money being important to me. As long as I got enough for the bar tab in Boston this weekend, you know, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:08:27 But we'll fix those pay issues. Besides that, I got nothing for the group. Thank you, gentlemen, for your service. Okay, great brief. Appreciate your integrity there. Jocko would have appreciated your extreme ownership of not actually doing the laundry. That's great work. Okay, S2, you know what we want to hear.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Bottom line up front. That's you, Trey. Yes, sir. This is Lance Corporal Smith again from Toledo. Hey, Trash Sixth real quick. Oh, yes, sir. Hey, Smith, have you guys always been Smith? Or is that something you guys kind of changed on Ellis Island? No, we're, it's something we change on Ellis Island.
Starting point is 00:09:12 If you want to be a, yeah, yes, sir, yeah, no, it's just Smith. Because your family wanted to be more Midwestern. That's it, sir, yeah. I get that, especially with immigrants. They come over and they, what's the most American place you can go? It's the Midwest. Everybody can read. And yeah, rich history in Toledo.
Starting point is 00:09:30 I'm from Toledo. Can't remember if we talked about that last week. It's really my family, whenever they immigrated over, it's more if they just hopped on a road and they followed it. And then the road just led them to Toledo. So that's what you know, all the roads will eventually lead there. And so that's kind of how it went up there. Yes, sir. I really appreciate you telling me a little bit about your family. We appreciate what you do for the team. We really do.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Yes, sir. And all roads do, in fact, run through Toledo. I actually commissioned out of Toledo. Do you know what the Toledo state bird is? I believe it's some species of hen. I'm not 100% sure. That's right. It's mud hen in the state of Toledo. Anyway, take care. your dad I said hi. He probably knows me. Yes, sir. Mr. Smith, yes, sir. I'll let him know. What's his first name?
Starting point is 00:10:29 Is it John? Yeah. Is he Mormon? He is, yeah. Well, let's keep that. Actually, go ahead. Go ahead and believe it. Straight over her moves is closed. That's all I have for the group.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Excellent. Excellent. Thank you. Appreciate that. We will all update our personal trackers, both in our notebooks. And then also, I know we all have them in our office that was mandated that you all keep track at this tradeover moves on a whiteboard in your office. So make sure when we break from this meeting team, go update your trackers. So your tracker is tracking, okay? And this is Trash 5. I just want to say we are live on X.
Starting point is 00:11:12 And I know that there's people watching because I'm getting messages about all roads running through Toledo. And it is true. you just hop on a road anywhere and find yourself in Toledo. If you want to skip the drive, just watch this live on X. And if you're not watching on YouTube, you're an idiot. That's right. And that's all good stuff.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Hey, thanks, brother. Yeah. Thanks, brother. Yeah. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Dude. Brother. Brother, brother. Yeah. Oh, brother. Like, I just feel like every day my mind is just getting older and older. And just, you know, air power is, is, is the way to do it. You know, that's all, that's all I'm learning about.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Do you think, brother, do you think a quick sidebar, sir, do you mind if we talk a little trash, if you will? Okay, thanks, sir. Majors run the meetings. Anyway, do you think Germany ever had a viable chance for winning Second World War with the introduction of air power after the, you know, intra-war period after World War I, brother? I've been thinking about that a lot, brother. It's just been on my mind. It's kind of all I'm thinking about. But I've, you know, I've been learning this air power stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:17 But then I also like to think through the lens of trash power in that domain and how that influenced the war. And I think they're just their trash agenda, their trash strategy, both at the operational or the strategic, the operational and the tactical level. They had it all wrong. The Germans just don't understand trash. And I just don't think they ever had a plan. I think just culturally, you know, societally, you know, tactically, militarily, they just, you know, they didn't, they didn't, they didn't, taking to account that it's a domain and you have to dominate that domain real quick you said that was the germans number one problem that was your big issue with them was that was that was the downfall
Starting point is 00:12:58 that they couldn't handle that that was the downfall that was a downfall they were doing those blitz creek attacks and they were just generating so much trash that it was bogging them down and I think that that's what just led to their logistics falling apart brother I kind of I kind of end up thinking about it in a circle right So, pardon me, brother, is I think, you know, Klausowitz would say that war is just an extension of policy by other means. So in order for the Germany to have a successful strategy, they would have to meet their aims, brother. And so that would mean eradicating a certain type of people, which I don't think that they could probably do. But at the same time, Klausowitz never published his book. It just became future trash.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Right. And it was his wife. So it brings me back to trash power. Oh, it's. Anyway, brother, we'll talk offline. Yeah, yeah, it was a good discussion. Hey, for all the company grades in the room, that's just a little little nugget for you,
Starting point is 00:13:48 little PME nugget. So, you know, put that one in your dump pouch and be ready to access it later. Okay, that's enough for three. Quick sidebar from the five. Oh, yeah, yeah. To the civilian from Texas. Is that your kid crying or mine in the background?
Starting point is 00:14:03 Oh, that would be mine. Okay, good. That actually puts me at ease. It probably raises your anxiety, but I feel better. Yeah. Yeah. Thanks, brother.
Starting point is 00:14:13 You'll get there. Yeah. Thanks, Mr. Gottelich. Okay, let's move along to the four. We want to talk logistics, right? That's a big part of what we do here. You know, one team, one fight, ops and log, always making stuff happen.
Starting point is 00:14:30 So S4, let's check it over to you. Hey, Trash Six, quick update. Look at the slide here. You see Phasmus coming down the pipe. Four, that irritates me. Talk me through it, talk me through it like it's a hose. talk me on target here. What's the plan of phase modes?
Starting point is 00:14:46 Coming down the hose. Yes, sir, yeah. We got a couple of years before that comes down. We're still getting ready for it. I feel pretty good about it. Will I still be in command? No, sir. You'll be probably dead, honestly, by the time...
Starting point is 00:14:58 Okay, I really care nothing more about my legacy here. That's right. Just we got to, I may be gone. Sir, the main thing I want to bring up to you is Sergeant Major still has all the dumpsters signed out. They are under your name. Yeah, well, we're one team, one type. We're a duo, okay?
Starting point is 00:15:18 We're Unity of Command. As long as you're fine with it, sir. I just want to let you know. He still has them all signed out. Is that bad for this inspection? It's actually, would work out great, because then we can just say, hey, they're all signed out. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:33 See, there you go. I'm hooking up the next guy. I was going to say it's his problem. That's what we're doing around you, sir. Just hook it up the next guy. That's what we do. Hey, did y'all happen to kiss them tigers playing the other, like, ooh, hoo-hoo-hoo, go tiger, baby.
Starting point is 00:15:49 Go tigers. Go tigers. They should have put on a whooping on them other tigers. Who's it, dabbo? What's it dabbo? That's what I want to know. This is the gunner, Sergeant Major. Yeah, being from the French part of South Carolina,
Starting point is 00:16:06 you've got to pick a side in my state, and you either pick tigers or gamecox. And let me tell you what, the GoT Tigers is a rival of mine in the SEC with real footballs play because it means more, but ain't nothing I like seeing better than them boys up in Clemson getting that tail beat. Way to way to pull down that Valley, boy. They don't look like they just discovered what a football was. They don't know what they're doing down there.
Starting point is 00:16:32 I guess they don't teach blocking in that part of the state. No, I don't think they were scared. Quick. This is trash. This is trash three. You know, no, no, no, no. No, no, I'm more of a, you know, NFL guy. I like, I like NFL a little more.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Yeah, I hear you, brother. Go chiefs, let's go chiefs. Yeah, always been, always been a chiefs, man. But I just get a little confused because, like, both teams are the Tigers, and they both play at Death Valley. So I just don't, I just don't understand college football. It just seems kind of silly. I'm more of a professional guy, you know, with the professionals play in the game.
Starting point is 00:17:07 So, you know, just wanted to, you know. To still. little word from the Cajun Sergeant Major. So with all due respect, why don't you just hush? Hush. Let's you just take a big spoof of hush over there, sir. We'll get offline. We'll get offline.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Maybe you can explain this whole college football. Yeah, no, so whatever your opinion is, I'm sure it's right. You're tired to it. That's for sure. That's for sure. I know that's right. Go taggers. Okay. Just the foregan. Yeah, no, nothing really
Starting point is 00:17:39 nothing really for the group. That's all I have. Good stuff. Appreciate it for. Appreciate it. Appreciate it. I do a great work over there in the four shop. Okay. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Anyone from medical here? Do we have any medical or dental updates? Anything from our Navy brethren? Yes, sir. This is Chief Petty Officer Nine Smith. We have a dental rodeo this week. So if everyone could come by and get their dental exams done, the dental exam machines are actually broken.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Okay. But we're just going to put those big, heavy things on you and pretend to do the exam and go ahead and file the paperwork. So everyone will be good for a year. And Sir Trash 5, once we do the rodeo, even though the exams won't be done, we'll go from 93% class 4 yuck mouths to just 17%. I've already run the numbers. I use chat GPT.
Starting point is 00:18:42 I think it's correct. But it's the dental rodeo and as an incentive, we got funds from the NWR and we're going to pass out donuts. So come by and get your fake dental exam and donut and bring the battalion's numbers up. Nothing further for the group. Okay. I just want to make sure I'm tracking. This is the three. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:03 So we're going to do the dental rodeo. We're going to commit the time and the people to the dental rodeo. Yes, sir. We already put it on the teep. Oh, yeah, no, tracking. Appreciate that. And I'll get off you online on some TTPs on how to make an outlook event. You know, just some field grade things, you know, some finer details that the Navy maybe doesn't teach to.
Starting point is 00:19:26 But so we're going to dedicate the time and the people. But there's actually going to be no medical or no dental benefit. But we're going to get our boxes are going to be green. Is that what I'm, is that that's what I'm hearing is the end state? Chief Petty Officer 9 Smith here, sir, I just, I thought we were kind of like a blue-green team, and I feel like you just made a little dig at the Navy, and I don't really like the way that makes me feel. I know there's pictures of people all over, trash battalion that I could talk to. Could you recommend who I could talk to about that?
Starting point is 00:19:59 Oh, you're requesting Mass. Yes, yes, I'm requesting a Catholic Mass, actually. Chaps, you're Protestant. That's not going to work for me. Just go straight to chaps. Wait, are you requesting mast or mass? I don't know. Sure, I've never really known if it's a physical or a fiscal year.
Starting point is 00:20:21 So I feel like I'm not really sure. I know what a captain's mast is. And that's not good. Just say, just like agents are major. Can I just get with you offline after? Yeah, you're at my bag, gumbo. You'll go ahead. You swing on by this weekend.
Starting point is 00:20:40 We'll talk this out. You know, Sarn Major, if you just maybe gave me some free leave, I could just dump the whole thing. I could just... There's a leave. Thanks. I'm actually going to leave now. There's the dog. Go ahead and leave.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Thank you, Sarr, Major. You really do care about the enlisted side. That says what I'm about, baby. Okay. I'm leaving. Okay. Okay. Well, all right.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Yeah, great stuff from dental there. Okay, okay. It took literal leave. Okay, literally took leave by leaving. That's great. So yeah, let's check it over. Let's see. We need any other hung ordinance from the room here
Starting point is 00:21:23 before we kick it over to the outline stations. This is Trash 5. Star Major, could you just give us an overview, Cajun type? The Gull one just really provides football commentary. when he's here. But for the Cajun Sar Major, could you just maybe talk about the fit rep tracker?
Starting point is 00:21:42 I know we got people out at P&E. I know we got a lot of folks out there, but you're the true expert in our fitness report, tracking, doing it right, and making sure that everything's correct. So could you just kind of tell us where we stand as a battalion on fitness reports? Yes.
Starting point is 00:22:01 I know I've been tracking it pretty close. Some people go. Some people are bad. They say how I've been tracking it. You know, I see you. And I go, hey, give me that favorite. And then I go, good job with that favorite. That's kind of how I track it.
Starting point is 00:22:17 It's all up here. So all up in the, how do we say the brain housing group, as we like to say. You think that maybe you could put together like a tracker, like an actual tracker that I could look at and see the battalion's numbers? Sure. That's a great idea. In theory, that could be done. But probably not. I probably won't do that.
Starting point is 00:22:37 I'll just say the three shop supports that. There's another tracker involved. We support it. We're here to support any, any of all trackers. I understand. You officers love boxes and colors and whatnot, but I'll go ahead and just in theory say that that could be done.
Starting point is 00:22:53 But how about this? So you can just ask me, hey, are we good on fit reps? And I'll say, yes or no. How about that? You wouldn't do that?
Starting point is 00:23:00 Would that work? Well, are we good on fit reps? Yeah, well, okay. Okay. Okay. I do appreciate Trash V and my brother in the Three Shop, I appreciate this how you talked about, you brought theory into the discussion. And you talked about boxes. We talk a lot about boxes of war.
Starting point is 00:23:23 So you can have a regional battle while a small battle happens or you can have a large battle. And sometimes these boxes kind of nest in each other. So I would like you to take all the information. nested in your head that's kind of like a regional box and maybe put it in a large box so everyone in the battalion can benefit from it. Okay. Yeah. Yes, sir. I'll look into that and I'll let you know. As soon as I get that done, you'll be first to know. Thank you. Thank you, sir, Major. You're a great addition to the team. Hey, I'm just here. Go tagger. Wow, that's great. I'm actually very, yeah, I'm really excited about the prospect of another tracker. But let's check in with Outlying Stations.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Let's see. First up, we got the chaplain checking in. Chaplain, great job. Upstating your slides on time, on Target. That's what we do here at Trash Battalion. So Chaplain checking in. We've been talking so much about domains lately. It reminded me of domain the Bible talks about that we haven't seemed to mention yet.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Ah, the spiritual domain. For he rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians, first 13 through 14, and then a chaplain closes it out. Through the work of Christ, we can be rescued from a life of darkness and brought into a life of freedom and grace. It would be like getting stuck in one of the Cajun Sergeant Major's cookout dumpsters and trash six coming to rescue you out of that dumpster and placing us at the table with all the free leave we need. Nothing else for the group.
Starting point is 00:25:07 This is the Gallos idea, amen. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. All right. And then we got Billy Mitchell checking in. Let's see. I've always said that about C-power, never not.
Starting point is 00:25:22 Pretty sure Ducydides wrote about the Spartans that the Spartans did starting strength in their home gyms. I don't know, though. Never went to EWS. So yet. Yet, exactly. There's always time for PME, baby. Always time. I think that may be.
Starting point is 00:25:40 No, we had one more. Oh, of course, of course, yes. Sector 7. John K. He should say him a box of stuff. Oh, we're putting it together right now as you speak. Send him a bunch of stuff. Yeah. Some free leave.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Yeah, all of our stuff. Ooh. Ooh. Trash six. This is Colorado new, or no, sorry, that's last week. Or trash. Sixth, this is Colorado. Miss last radio check night shift has been started.
Starting point is 00:26:07 PT at 1,300. Three-mile run sucked. Too hot. I may die. All secure in sector seven. Carry on. You still don't know what this guy does, right? I am unaware.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Is he like a cop and a guardsman maybe? Let's just make a book. Okay. We run a PFT at 1,300. I don't know. Sounds terrible. What if he's just like a... You've seen Shooter with Mark Wahlberg?
Starting point is 00:26:35 He's just like off in the words by himself. Have I ever seen... Dude, the only movies... Mac Wilde? That's a fair question. No, I've seen it. I've seen it. It's a Mark Wahlberg.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Yeah, come on. Okay. Mark and Mark and the funky bunch. Maybe he's like shooter. He's just off in the world by himself. Well. Sector 7. It's code.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Maybe he is here. Maybe Mark Wahlberg is playing his role. That's, yeah. I heard of Mark Wahlberg. He was learning about this character. It's based in Colorado, right? That's what he says. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Yeah. If you're selling the truth, you know, it's just this cover story maybe. Hey, I've heard. I've heard enough. I'm out. I think I forgot to tell the story before I give it back to the three to get to the topics. It must have been complication, but it's, you know,
Starting point is 00:27:29 all the professors put on their funny little liberal dresses with their hats. Dude, the funniest. Yeah, it's like, it looks like it's like made out of cardboard. And so all the students are seated. Everyone's in dress uniform. And the Admiral walks in, the president of school, and some enlisted guys, like, a digital deck.
Starting point is 00:27:55 And everyone's like seated because you were told to be in your seats 15 minutes prior. They have like the little, the little like, you know, table desks, like open from the chair in front of them. Everyone has coffee. It was absolute chaos. It was drinks for going down. And the admiral's miced up. And like, he's like entering the door.
Starting point is 00:28:18 He's, no, no, no, no, keep your seats. Keep your seats. And it's, and I'm thinking to my head, we've done this every year. Couldn't someone have like come up beforehand have been like, hey, the admiral's just going to walk in. Like, no one needs to call attention on deck. We got like 400 guys out there in dresses that are about to parade into funny music, like holding weird sticks. Like just keep your seeds.
Starting point is 00:28:40 But nope, it was just total and complete chaos. At least that heads up. Like, hey, the admiral's come out. Lisa standby. Yeah, standby. That's a problem. You know, we used to be a proper country and have preparatory commands. That's right.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Not anymore. Not anymore. That's what's all attention on day. That's what's the problem. We need more preparatory commands. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, well, one day.
Starting point is 00:29:06 One day we'll get back to it. Maybe we'll come out of PME and we'll solve that problem. Maybe we'll solve it in PME. That's what I'm hoping, you know. Because we're kind of future war fighters, but fighting the current fight. I mean, it's really amazing what you can learn in academia. It's amazing. Sea power.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Air power. Okay. We want to start the show? Should we start the show, Trey? Artie, pal. Well, I know what I want to talk about first. I want to hear about Trey's lifting update. Trey doesn't have a training update, but Trey has a hunting update.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Blasted update. Yeah, no, I did not lift, but I did go hunting. Duff hunting this past week, yeah. Duff season opened up last week on the first. Went out to Abilene on Saturday with the fam. All the guys on my side of the family went out. Just worked that happening. Yeah, man, it was good.
Starting point is 00:30:05 They were all over the place. So would you say, if we were to think of it in domains, so May I would say battles are won at sea. Jeff and the crazy people, the Air Force, would say battles are won with air power. Corbett would say the battles are one on land. But Dove Hunting is kind of an interesting. intersection of those domains.
Starting point is 00:30:30 I'm on land. I would say it's very much a Corbett hunt. The British are always right. You didn't like do a little jump on any year, shots, like get a little airborne and then like do a little trick shot. You're not really necessarily. Yeah, that's actually the correct way to shoot bird on these guys. Leave your feet.
Starting point is 00:30:49 That's how we teach it. That's what I thought. That's what I thought. That's, you know, I haven't shot the rifle range in a long time, but I think I remember something about it's supposed to jump. I feel you, brother. Yeah. How many did you kill?
Starting point is 00:31:02 What's the limit in Texas? 15. 15, 15 doves. And you bag out. Field strip them. You bring them home. Yeah. So,
Starting point is 00:31:13 you know, you hit them. So I got 15. It was actually the first time. With a buckshot. You hit him. Hit him. It was actually the first time.
Starting point is 00:31:21 I think I got 15 with a box or just about. It was like. Got your five's back. I got my fun house back. So I was pretty happy with that. There's so many of them. It was kind of hard not to. But yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:31:35 So you just like take the breast out and then take, then I'll put them in a Ziploc bag, take them home. And then I debrased them like off the bone at home. Put them in a vacuum seal bag, freeze them. Okay. But you made some poppers. Ooh, that sounds good. Satter? No.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Dove poppers. Yeah. That sounds good. It was okay. The cream cheese was good. good. The hall opinion was good. The bacon was good. The devil was okay. Yeah. I mean, you can wrap out anything in those ingredients and it's going to be all right. If you were to hop on a road in Toledo and leave it,
Starting point is 00:32:12 it also just reminds you, it takes you back. No, but serious question. So I did a fair amount of duck hunting growing up. And even, you know, when I would go home, I would always meet my buddy Bryce and Charleston and we'd get some duck hunts. in wood ducks, mallards is a good time. But what I really kill a lot of, and it's probably my favorite is what's called a marsh hen, which is why all roads lead to Toledo, because it makes thing out of mud hen. But it's, uh, are you familiar with the Martian? I am not.
Starting point is 00:32:43 It's kind of a gulla bird. Uh, it's in the gala region. Not even kidding. Um, but it's really slow. And so you're not allowed to, um, use a motor. So we always used a motor. And you're supposed to just paddle. And then they fly.
Starting point is 00:33:03 So they either dunk down to get more food or they get up and leave the marsh grass. So you're going to super high tide. Yeah, that's a Martian. Yeah. And that's the most, what would you say? Waterfowl hunting. I've done. And I think you can kill like 30.
Starting point is 00:33:20 Are they good? So this is what I was getting at. Oh, okay. No, no, no, no. It's a great question. But in my field dressing question, is you can kind of just turn them inside out and pull out the meat, but you'd have to do like a salt brine for like a couple days to make them edible.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Otherwise, it just tasted like you were eating marsh grass. It's not that bad. It's so like, yeah, so basically what you do is like you, I clip the wings and then like I'll peel off the feathers off the breast and you can put your thumb underneath like the breastplate and just pull up. Same same. Yank it out, right? And then I will usually just soak them in buttermilk for like a couple hours.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Butter milk. Bottom milk. Not selling of you. And that kind of, it takes a little gaminess way. You didn't, you know, I do that with like White Tail around Texas too. Yeah. But no, it's not, I don't think it's that bad. Mars.
Starting point is 00:34:18 That sounds like a trash. Martian. How racist of you. No, I've done a lot of quail hunting. Those are the best. I don't know that I've done, but Martian's the most fun because you're like in a boat. You're like in a John boat. What do you call those kind of boats in Texas?
Starting point is 00:34:42 Do you know what I mean when I say a John boat, Jeff? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Because we're from the South. But you don't really have water in Texas. Not really. Yeah. Not without a house.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Yeah. Dude, I'm a 54, 54-day drought up here in Dallas. I bet them rich boys from Dallas still wearing their Lucchese boots, though. Oh, you know they wearing them. But no, good time, man. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Did you take any photos? No. I know you're real active on social media. No cameras in the locker rooms. No cameras on the dove on. That's what we've always said. What are you talking about? All right.
Starting point is 00:35:28 That sounds like a good time. Did you wear like an orange hat? No orange hat. Did you wear a mudhins hat? Should of. Should have. I wonder if the mud hens make a camel hat. We should sell that.
Starting point is 00:35:42 I would, I just need to mind your mud hens hat. Just mud hens. Honestly, like, I wear this. I wear that hat. It's a great hat. It's really a great hat. And it's like appropriately sized. Yes, there is a new era
Starting point is 00:35:58 Toledo Mud Hens Camo Copper 2-tone And it's awesome Who's in this one? Troy Campbell Sr. Yeah, Troy Campbell. It's like Troy Campbell Snuck into my, when I was asleep,
Starting point is 00:36:13 snuck into my room, measured my head. Like, it fits great. That's what he did. Yeah. Yeah. He was an Intel. Yeah, that's what he did.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Who's an Intel guy? Yeah, that makes sense. No, I don't want to put that on it. He's an infantryman. so he could just snuck in. He could have killed you. Instead, he measured your head. Got out.
Starting point is 00:36:31 Got me a hat. God, day. What a guy. Yeah. Big fan of the mud hens. Let's get his lifting topics out of the way. Okay. Well, my baby's born, you know.
Starting point is 00:36:46 You never know what's going to happen. My baby's not born. If you're listening to this, today's September the 8th. Don't ask. In the year of our Lord, 2026. No baby. So we're, we've been given, we've been given three due dates. This is what's called girl math.
Starting point is 00:37:07 So, but now we've passed all the due dates. So it's, if you're a boomer listening, the best thing you could do, especially like maybe if you're a family member or someone really close that I would definitely tell you if we had a baby, is text me. Oh, yeah. Did you have the baby yet? Because I wouldn't tell you. I would just keep it a secret.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Texty, it's just murder. Yeah, just textie. Just texting. How you feeling? Yeah. They love that. Yeah. Are you going to have this baby?
Starting point is 00:37:38 They actually request being asked. Okay. Cool. I'll do that right. I'm going to do that right now. Oh, man. Good stuff. But yeah, Trady, you want to do the lifting question?
Starting point is 00:37:52 Why don't I do a little home gym update real quick? Okay. And we will roll into Trey's question, which I don't remember what it was, but I'll do my best off the cuff to answer it. Yeah, so I'll give you some time. So I got my basement, Jim, big cella guy down there. I got squat racks. You can go to gymradar.com and you're only allowed to have one gym on gym radar, which if I knew the guys over there, I think there's a lot of people like me that, you know, own a commercial gym, have a home gym in California. California and our reservists that gets sent on PME for a temporary gig and have another home gym.
Starting point is 00:38:30 I'm a big part of their market. 70% of the population. It's got to be. So you should be able to make more gyms. But Grant's buddy has a gym on gym radar. You can go check it out. Post some photos of it. But I got some Amazon squat stands.
Starting point is 00:38:44 I think we talked about last week of the week before. Amazon squat stands, a little bench. And everything does work in the cellar. but my only kind of problem is is like man you really got to dial in it's like shooting artillery to make it where you can unrack the the bar to squat let's say step back and like you got i got put some tape on the floor you got to be standing in a very specific location and do it just correctly so that either the plates don't hit the duct work at the top um or like somewhere on the duck work. There's like a metal band. So there's some areas of the duck work where like
Starting point is 00:39:26 maybe the third played out actually can compress it a little bit, right? And it's fine, except if you're in a spot. So anyway, it's very confined down there, very small. And so got a bulkhead. And so what I've been doing it is opening it and just carrying the stuff outside. And I just thought when it gets cold, I won't be able to do this. Let me just enjoy it while I can. And so I will tell you this, having the little cheap modular squat stands, it's been great. It takes me about five minutes to get the squat stands up there, the barbell up there, you know, three something of weights. And then it's crisp in New England right now in the morning, you know, like 58, 60 degrees. So it's been, it's been great to work out outdoors.
Starting point is 00:40:12 And to have that modular setup. And when it gets super cold or if it's raining or whatever the case is I'll have to do to the confines of the seller. But I've also been able to press, you know, overhead standing rather than seated. But I guess my takeaway for the listener is that, you know, you can, it's still in my mind, in my mind. And you may be in a different stage of your life, but I got a two-year-old. I got a pregnant wife. My mother's in town right now waiting on the birth. I got my sister-in-law here. And I want to be home as much as I can. And so having a little modular setup and being home has been really nice. My wife's been able to use it and squat and she wouldn't have the problems I have.
Starting point is 00:40:50 She's not 6-1-2-20, you know. You got to be too something to do something. I've always said that. But yeah, no, the home gym, it's good. What did I learn? What did I learn that I wanted to call attention to? The squat rack. So I was benching the other day and not super heavy.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Maybe it's all relative, but maybe 260, 25, something like that. And so I pulled out the little pin. It's not a cotter pin. It's like bent on one end. So you put it in, you flip it down. It's secure. And I put the bench down as low as I could, or the uprights, rather, as low as I could so that I could bench.
Starting point is 00:41:29 And I did that because if I put it on the last setting, then it was a little higher than I wanted. And so I did my bench workout. I think I was in the basement. I might have been outside, but I put everything away. And then the next time I went to go bench, I couldn't get. the uprights up because I didn't have the pin the weight of the bar had like stuck them together. So the next time I bench press and Jordy could probably show some B-roll, I put them on the last notch and then I put the bench on a pair of bumper 25 so it was elevated so then I could do the
Starting point is 00:42:07 workout. But those are like little hacks and tips and tricks that might be useful to you. But yeah, I would I would not change my mind in buying a $100 squat rack that's made in China for this period of my life. But I will tell you it's not ideal. It's a pain. You got to figure out a way to make it work, but we're making it work. Anyway, what's your lifting question? Man, it's very specific. And like I said, I don't know if you would make a good video for it.
Starting point is 00:42:41 But with the Slack channel that we have going on, great, great product by the way, I highly recommend use the link below use code. Okay. Grant bot is a feature on there. Yeah. Now, as we've talked about a lot, I've been lifting here as of weight. But when I was lifted, I feel like I wasn't really utilizing Grant Bot to its full potential. could you like say hey this is kind of what i don't know like this is what grandpa can do this is where i find
Starting point is 00:43:15 him most effective uh this is what i maybe some people might be missing out on and then i guess the second part of that is like hey this is where i kind of see AI fitting in future this it won't replace it at all or you know what i mean yeah yeah no i think it's good hey guys welcome back Grant Brojy from Shrenko. And today we're going to talk about AI. Is it going to put out of business every AI fitness influencer? If you like the video, like to subscribe to the channel. And now I'll just talk normal and then you can fix it in post. No, I think AI in coaching is really, it's really, really interesting in terms of what it can do and what it can't do. So, you know, we started the Slack channel back when the gym opened in 20, late 2016, early 2017. And it was a place
Starting point is 00:44:05 that we put our gym members. And the main reason we did it was because, hey, I'm a coach in the gym. I'm dealing primarily with new lifters. I don't want all these text messages all the time. I mean, you're welcome to text me, but it's like, hey, can I put all this in one place so I can go in and answer people's questions? And so we would answer a lot of questions with new people in the gym of, hey, I did lift a day. I got home. My low back hurt. Should I come to the gym on Friday? or how much protein should I be eating or what kind of shoes can I buy? And so we just kind of put it all into one place, mainly for me, the owner and the coaches that were working with me to just be able to,
Starting point is 00:44:45 hey, I can go in here and I can deal with everyone's stuff and I'm not fielding a ton of phone calls. Well, a lot of that is answered by AI, you know, and not just that I can tell AI what to say, but it just, it can, you know, you can prompt your question in such a way of, you know, how much milk would Mark Ripetttoe recommend that I drink a day? You know, it's a gallon of milk a day, go mad, whatever. But it can answer a lot of those questions. But I think what I've seen, and we run an online coaching business on top of our brick-and-mortar
Starting point is 00:45:18 gym in Costa, Mesa, California, is just having your questions answer doesn't answer all of the mail, pun intended there. But it does answer a lot of it, right? So if you're a super dedicated, motivated person that wants to run the program starting strength, you don't necessarily need a starting strength coach to know how to run the program in terms of, hey, the program consists of two workouts. Workouts, A, squat three sets of five, bench three sets of five, deadlift one set of five, workout B, squat again, but add more weight, three sets of five, press three sets of five, deadlift one set of five again, add a little more weight.
Starting point is 00:45:58 It can answer all those fundamental things. Now, what it can't do yet, but it's getting closer, is fix your mechanics in real time. And that's what we offer in our online coaching as well as our, you know, coaching in the gym. It's, hey, Jeff walks out 315 to squat and he is not, you know, utilizing his hips to come out of the bottom or his knees are sliding forward or he's not hitting depth because he's not externally rotating. as femurs and a person watching you conduct the lift can give you cues to make you do it. Now, there's technology that I mean exists right now to do this. I don't think it's the same as having a human being with experience that has seen a bunch of different types of body types of various ages and different people.
Starting point is 00:46:49 I think it lacks in being able to do that. So that's element one. So I think like AI can fix everything in terms of what am I supposed to? to do and it can even answer questions if you have a back tweak. Like, hey, what should I do? I tweak my back squatting. Should I go to the gym tomorrow? And then our Slack channel, we've written a bunch of basically starting
Starting point is 00:47:09 strengthiest code inside of it to answer, hey, not just what like the internet would say or a doctor would say or someone random would say, like what would starting strength coaches or the strength code people or people that subscribe to this method, how would they address the problem? And so it does answer a lot of that. And it can happen, you know, instantly versus, hey, grants on this time zone. I'm in this time zone and I got to wait for him to answer. In terms of if you are a Slack member and how could you utilize it the best,
Starting point is 00:47:42 I think the answer really is, you know, it can determine your warmups. It can determine if you need to use a little bit of weight, a little less weight, maybe because you have a life circumstance. Let's say you're working, you're in the novice linear progression, you're at the advanced portion, your power cleaner once a week. You have some stuff and then you have a day. I don't know, let's say you have a baby. And so you don't sleep a bunch and you miss a workout and then you want to know,
Starting point is 00:48:10 hey, I worked out Wednesday. On Friday I was supposed to squat this. I have my baby on Thursday. I haven't slept much. I need to go back to the gym. What should I do? It can answer those kind of questions. And you can tell it, hey, the last time I squatted, I did this, that, or whatever the weights
Starting point is 00:48:26 were and it can kind of calculate that for you. And I think a lot of people underutilize that. And I give the baby example, which is not extreme, but it's unique to me right now. Maybe you're a six-year-old guy and all your kids are grown. I think you can ask, you know, AI, you know, I went on vacation for 10 days. This is the program out. You could upload a workout log, you know, and I feel silly even trying to explain to people watching, you know, what AI can do, but in our particular way that we've written it, it's the starting strength methodology overlaid so that you can use it. And I think there's a lot of questions that could be answered there. And then the last thing I would say is, do I think that AI is going to replace coaching? And I think
Starting point is 00:49:11 the short answer is probably yes. I think a lot of coaching is being replaced, but only if the coach is not providing value in some other way. And there's a lot of different ways. that you get at that. But for us, for say our online coaching platform, you know, I have five or six people that manage 20 to 25 lifters do their programming, not live. They just upload videos and then give them feedback. And then, you know, what I do is I try to, I try to once a week, it's been a little crazy since I've been at school and about to have a baby, but as I provide live events. And so I say, hey, I'm going to go live this Friday at this time. If you're paid into the Strength Code software, you can join into the same.
Starting point is 00:49:52 session. And do I provide a bunch of super valuable technical coaching? Sometimes, but most of the time not. What it really is, is, hey, I'm a lifter in Utah. I'm a lifter in Abilene, Texas. I'm a lifter in Newport, Rhode Island. I don't look forward to my lifting because it's heavy and it's hard. And now there's a bunch of like-minded people like me doing the same thing. And that's a different kind of value. I mean, that's a different kind of thing that AI can't do. I mean, yes, you could talk to AI, like it's a person, but there's a value, there's a human connection, there's a, hey, I understand you went dove hunting. There's a, hey, I understand that you got three kids under three years old and there's empathy and human emotion that provides value.
Starting point is 00:50:35 And I don't think, I mean, who knows, but you know, I don't think AI is going to replace all of that. And so if you're some type of online coach doing something in the fitness space and you're only, if your coaching value is the same. thing that they could prompt rock chat gpt clawed whoever and if the value you're giving is just that same answer then i think it does it replaces you right but if you provide something else some other type of service or some other type of drive motivation i mean it's the same thing we see in our brick and mortar gym there are people that know how to lift that know how to program that have been coming for 10 years and they still come because I want to come in, I want to be in an environment with
Starting point is 00:51:22 Ronnie Coleman screaming, yeah, buddy. And I want, you know, if something goes wrong, someone immediately give me an answer. Does that answer your question? Yeah. So like the community, I think is, I think it's a big part for a new lifter, but I think it's a huge part for the more advanced lifter. And I don't mean advance like you're, you know, going to the Olympics. Tenured, maybe tenured. Yeah. Yeah. The other thing, I guess
Starting point is 00:51:50 Grandpa does, and I don't know how accurate is. You might know better. I see a lot of people post their meals and gives you the macros. Has it been pretty good on that? Yeah, it's pretty, I mean, it's pretty accurate, you know? I mean, with nutrition now, we used to sell nutrition consults and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:52:09 And the problem is it's like nutrition is such an internal thing that people have to figure out for themselves, that it's a different type of service. So now I just, I just, you know, tell people, I mean, if someone wants to schedule a call and talk about nutrition, like I'll do it. But it's like, hey, you can get all these answers. But yeah, it's pretty accurate.
Starting point is 00:52:32 We say grant bot, that's the little name of the bot that we have in the Strength Code ecosystem. But really, any chat, GPT, no, I think that stuff's pretty accurate. I mean, I think, yeah. Yeah. Not to, you know, I would say this even if you weren't here. But like the Slack channel, I think it's a good mix of, because how many coaches you got live on there too? Like five.
Starting point is 00:52:53 So you got yourself, five. Is that including you? Without me. So six, including you paired up with the grandpa man. I think, you know, it's like you get an immediate response. And then sometimes I wouldn't say it's wrong. It's wrong. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:10 Yeah. And you're getting the validation. right you're getting the like oh grand also thinks you know whatever the case is so yeah so i don't know i i find that to be pretty useful for that slack channel so 100% worth the money there you should post some dove breast i should yeah yeah okay i'll go do that i mean i've been pretty i've been pretty active i feel like i'm just talking myself in the void in the sports channel but i yeah i responded to you yeah no jim jeff responded to me But I've enjoyed just posting into the void there.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Into the void. Yeah, I like it. Should we talk college football? Should we get to it? I think we should have to get to it. Give the people what they want. Should we start with the game of the week? You got to talk to the game of the week.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Obviously, everyone knows what the game of the week is. Taking down 10 giants and from the FBS. A&M's biggest rival. The Citadel. That's right. I'm talking Citadel football, baby. They're an FBS killer. That's, yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:11 they're an FBS killer. Good game. We'll keep it short. Three overtimes. Some phenomenal runs. I was on the edge of my seat. But I will say, Auburn was close. Auburn. Auburn. Auburn.
Starting point is 00:54:26 But it wasn't actually, my wife actually came down and goes, oh, we watch a mediocre football again. I was like, oh, gee, that's what my wife says about Auburn. Yeah. And then she was like, oh, that was an exciting game. And they won. I said, yeah. before we delve all the way into not the games of the week,
Starting point is 00:54:45 this podcast is brought to you by BW Tax. BW Tax, great guy better at taxes. A lot of people call BW. Some people will try to call BW and pull one over on them, asking questions like, hey, can you do my taxes anywhere, even though you're in Greenville, South Carolina? Or they might say, I hear you're a Patriots fan. BWCs through that.
Starting point is 00:55:07 When you're an okay podcast caller, hears you. So there's probably one or two words he's going to say to you. The first one is okay. And the second one is Auburn because those are the two most words that we use. So we appreciate that. This podcast is also brought to you by green grid iron, grid iron green. Great guy better at helmets. Makes him big, makes him small. He makes them all. You can get him with visors. Norris sellers. Greatest quarterback currently playing college football right now is a visor guy. So I'm a visor guy. A lot of Gamecocks wearing visors these days. But you can go. get your favorite football helmet, maybe your buddies, it's his birthday, it's his bachelor party,
Starting point is 00:55:45 he's having a kid, maybe he just got hired by Border Patrol. And you want to commemorate the time, you know, of this important time in his life, get him a Border Patrol. Oh, my gosh, Trey, did you get hired by Border Patrol? Yeah, Trey, are you working? You ever tell us? Oh, with a visor. Yeah, that way they can't see your eyes.
Starting point is 00:56:04 Yeah, smart. Yeah. So those are our sponsors. All right, over to you guys. Wow. So I didn't watch any yet. So I just saw you sent me that game and you just sent me a screenshot. So like, was it close?
Starting point is 00:56:20 Yeah, was it close like the whole. Yeah, it was down by a touchdown, I think at the half. And then they went up by two. And then we came back and we were up by a touchdown. I think it was 28, 21. And I was super upset. There was about three minutes left. left and it was fourth and one at the 50.
Starting point is 00:56:43 And I'm like, run the ball, run the ball. City don't have the ball. Yeah, run the ball. And we punted. And I'm texting, you know, my buddies fire this coach. BW. Like, what are we doing? BW and others.
Starting point is 00:57:00 It's just like, what are we doing? Like drop your nuts, run the ball. And so what do they do? They come down and they score. And then we can't get it together. to score before the end of regulation and then it was what is it now it's start at the 25 score have to go for two in the first attempt right I think first two after no you can you can kick an extra point for the first one right yeah and then it just goes down to two point
Starting point is 00:57:30 conversions I or is that maybe in the third over time I think it's the third one is when it starts going to two point conversion yeah so maybe we did one tit for tat second one both teams got the two point third one we got the two point and then they they didn't get it and we won but yeah it was a fun
Starting point is 00:57:54 game and there was a we got a quarterback or not a quarterback running back Garcia number five and it was like third yeah I sent him that one too but it was like third and 16 or something like that and it's just it was the run I posted on the okay podcast he's just like balance and i it was number three sports center uh play for college football man yeah great one-on-one
Starting point is 00:58:17 we got crushed by wafford last week uh which is what made this win better that was week zero that doesn't count as we yeah we're zero you don't you don't start counting with zero you start counting one so full back power yeah yeah everyone knows that but thank but okay okay good win good win and then Auburn dude I was so I was in our pickum that we have. I think it was the only one to pick Baylor. And I'm like, I'm like, man, I almost pulled that out. I think everybody else had Auburn.
Starting point is 00:58:48 I didn't make my picks. If I was, if I had been a betting man. Thanks for the reminder, tray. I texted you like day of. I'm like, oh, it looks like. Oh, did you? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:00 And then you were deep into the Citadel game, so you're like, I don't care. Yeah, I didn't care. Yeah, if I had been a betting man, I would have been like, Like, oh, there's no way. Auburn covers that spread. Like, no way.
Starting point is 00:59:14 I was like, that feels, they don't know who they're talking about. But yeah, to me the other year, it feels like a great defense. It's going to go to waste. And the offense is just going to throw a lot of interceptions. It's going to be great. You never know, man. Yeah. You never know.
Starting point is 00:59:29 I don't know. It's a good defense. It's a win. It's a win over Baylor, man. I think Baylor is going to be better. I think they're going to be decent. So I think it's a little look better as time. I did really appreciate that I saw no locker room footage of Auburn out for the game.
Starting point is 00:59:45 That's right. That's right. Lane Kiffin, letting those. Lane Kiffin. Terrible. I mean, I'm going on you guys. But yeah. A&M game.
Starting point is 00:59:57 I know y'all didn't watch it. Waxed them. Started off slow, but dude, A&M's defense, I think it's going to be pretty stout. Yeah. Would you call it maybe, like, like a wrecking crew. Racking crew-esque.
Starting point is 01:00:12 Okay. Is that what I would say? Was it 60 to nothing? Pretty good. 50. 50. Yeah. Not everyone can hang 57.
Starting point is 01:00:21 Yeah. That is true. South Carolina. South Kakalaka. Look good. You want to talk about the fans? I'd give you a hard time. So I texted Grant.
Starting point is 01:00:33 Was that like fourth quarter? Yeah. Yeah. It was like four quarter. it was a hot like hottest game on record for south Carolina right yeah that's right yeah it was uh oh go ahead yeah you're you're ticking me on so i texted grant obviously joking like don't blame them stadium emptied out because it was miserable but i texted grant like a bunch of USC fans not showing up again typical
Starting point is 01:00:59 yeah my nephew is their first game as a student and uh so i was on threat of with him and my brother, his dad, and he got there. I think he said an hour and a half early to get a good spot in the cockpit. And he was like, it is so hot. And game started, the place was like rocking. And then I didn't hear from for a few hours. And I actually, bad fan of me, but I was managing my household over football. I think at the half, I took my daughter.
Starting point is 01:01:35 We went for a walk and so like I'm following it. So then he so then you texted me so then I texted him and then he said they were making all these PA announcements asking people to leave and go watch the game in air conditioning. And he was sending photos of like all these students, you know, South Carolina's super healthy state. Everyone's in a really good shape. All of them probably sober. Yeah. They're just drinking water.
Starting point is 01:02:07 That was why they were trying to get the student section to leave because they were just worried. You drink all the water. But it was actually hot. And the difference for those California listeners that watched the University of Small Little Southern California, it's not the heat that gets you. It's the humidity. It's the humidity. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:25 And I guess Southern Cal had another light showing with their fan base better than the previous week's game, but another light showing. It is hot there. At least we opened it up full. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like, dude. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:40 It's just brutal, man. No, that was it. It was a good win, though, regardless. Yeah, great win. Yeah. I mean, it was. I think there are going to be a problem this year. Like, I'm not looking forward to any of them going there.
Starting point is 01:02:52 So we'll see. Especially if we can turn that humidity up. I would personally be more worried about Citadel coming to college station. Junction boys. I've been able to sleep here recently. Yeah. FBS killers. No.
Starting point is 01:03:07 But then I guess other big games of doubt, and then we pick a couple of games this next week. Did you watch the LSU game? Oh. Yeah, a little bit. Do you want your dagger, baby? I mean, I don't know what made me. I don't know what made me happier. Watching the Gamecocks finally take like a cupcake first opponent and just dominate them or just watching Clemson get waxed.
Starting point is 01:03:36 but I felt both. I felt a lot of joy. I was just loving it. There's nothing better when your football team looks good and like wins and then your rival
Starting point is 01:03:48 just terrible. It doesn't show up. They look like hot garbage. I was at the Cadenstar Major's house. It was great. It was just a good game all around. He knows. You met it too fake.
Starting point is 01:04:05 You guys? LISU's press conference. Oh, sorry. No. I don't say, LSU's defense, man, they look good.
Starting point is 01:04:13 I mean, I don't know. There were some in the run game was good. I think it was that terrible. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:20 No, yeah, or LSU's defense. I say Clemsstein. No. No, you said LSU, I just mean,
Starting point is 01:04:25 but there were some, I was watching some highlights where like the ball was snapped and like the O-line guy and everything like faces like the wrong.
Starting point is 01:04:33 You're like, oh, buddy, oh no. But, yeah, I think that running back that number 13 he's legit
Starting point is 01:04:40 but I don't know about Sam Levitt I don't know if he's going to be yeah I'd agree with that I think I don't think an SEC defense is going to be as easy to run this right around and for sure well it just means more for us
Starting point is 01:04:55 that's what I'm saying that's what I'm saying it just means more real quick did the Ohio State win yeah they did yeah 50 points right Notre Dame one Notre Dame one Okay, we've covered America's teams now.
Starting point is 01:05:10 All the listeners can be happy. Navy, Navy won, too, right? Yeah, Navy one. Yeah, okay. Now we're covered. Okay. So now it's time for Trace. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:33 Oh, right. Jeff, you want, I was just going to run down. Yeah, I got you. I got you. Well, first, all right, we got, South Carolina, who do you all got? I don't have our teams pulled up. I have the ESPN ones.
Starting point is 01:05:48 We'll do a couple of those ones. But South Carolina, who's on the schedule? I mean, I think we start with the Citadel, like we always have. Oh, right. Excuse me. America's team. The battle for Charleston, Charleston, Southern. At the Citadel.
Starting point is 01:06:05 Okay, okay. First homie. Charleston Southerns Owen 2 Does the Citadel Stadium have like a nickname Johnson Haygood I called the dog house John
Starting point is 01:06:20 Yeah Carlson Southern lost to Lindenwood in the first game That's a college Is that just one guy? Yeah that sounds like a nice neighborhood Is that a gated neighborhood? Is that a gated neighborhood?
Starting point is 01:06:38 Oh, yeah, my buddy, he lives in Lindenwood. Yeah, it's gated community. It's like the Sammont, just a bunch of boys. Played in the backyard. Lindenwood. College. Enrollment. Mr. Lindenwood is pretty good at football.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Excuse me, it's Lindenwood University online. Oh, they're from St. Charles, Missouri. Wow. Everyone knows that. Anyway, they lost them. We shouldn't waste time on Charles. So they lost them, and then they got beat by Georgia Southern 31 and nothing.
Starting point is 01:07:17 I got the dogs. I do too. Right. Give me dogs. Dogs. Okay. All right. South Carolina.
Starting point is 01:07:26 Yeah, we go South Carolina. South Carolina. Orn. Because I think Gany and them should be on the picture. Nothing or not. We have Townsend. Townsend. South Carolina.
Starting point is 01:07:38 Yeah, give me. Whatever the cover of that. I bet they'll. Yeah, that's another. That's another blowout. You're one of the same. Who's Auburn playing? Auburn's got Southern Miss at home.
Starting point is 01:07:48 Fighting Brett Harves. Yeah, give me Auburn. I think they'll correct some stuff, hopefully. So A&M is playing Arizona State. A&M 14 and a half point favorite. I know. It's tricky. At home.
Starting point is 01:08:05 11 AM kickoff. I'm going to A&M. Arizona State beat Morgan State 70 to 7 FCS team right I feel like Morgan State is not a FBS killer is down the street from Wended Wood
Starting point is 01:08:20 their neighbors online I think I agree with Grant I think A&M wins but I feel like it's like a fourth quarter game I feel like Arizona State's pretty sneaky That's a good progression of like Cupcake Team.
Starting point is 01:08:39 Yeah, like kind of a middle, I think third, bottom third, whatever conference there in now I have no idea. You can go to Borgon State University, a historically black research university located in Baltimore for $8,11818 a year. Can't afford not to. So I'm bargaining at any price. Acceptance rate is 82.2%. Very well. Look at that. But who'd you pick?
Starting point is 01:09:07 Aggies. I'm going A&M. All right. Big games, note next week. We got Oklahoma versus Michigan. We got to talk Michigan real quick. That is true. The game's not over yet.
Starting point is 01:09:19 They put another second back on the clock. I heard. Man, so you texted, and I saw Michigan was down, or you sent a message in the Slack channel. Michigan was down. I assume they had lost because I wasn't watching the game. Same. And so you said, hey, are you watching this?
Starting point is 01:09:34 and I go, oh, Michigan law is too bad. And I look it up, I'm like, oh, never mind they won. And then I'm like, the whole controversy. What's your thoughts? Dude. How is, like, what clock? What clock are you going off of? The secret one that they don't tell you about, apparently.
Starting point is 01:09:51 I'm a Patriots fan. So I like to stipulate the rules in my favor. But I don't get that one, man. Yeah. And what were they saying that when someone touched the ball? they were out of bounds and there was still one second, which is even questionable if that is even true. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:12 If the rule is the ball touches a person who's out of bounds, the play stops. One, I question that rule. So he touched, so according to the adjusted clock, the made up clock that they found, like if you go by that clock, there is one second left.
Starting point is 01:10:34 Right. See, this is the problem when people don't do time hacks. That's what they didn't do. That's what they didn't do. I'm a TOT guy. Yeah. Your new kid's not. Just blowing TOTs.
Starting point is 01:10:50 Blowing TOTs. Rolling it. Rolling it. Right. I don't know, man. That's my biggest gripe with it. It's just that I'm like, you have the clock in the stadium. You have the clock on the TV.
Starting point is 01:11:02 And those are synced up. And then you just have this myth. clock that no one else can see like there's one second left hey the enemy gets a vote yeah i guess time is a flat circle we've always said that never not but still you're at michigan how are you even in that situation to begin with so now the miac is challenging it i think yes meak is meak mac mac mac it's just the mac yeah mac no meyak's also one right yes o's meak oh shmack oh shi yeah That's the one that Lindenwood plays in. The Miak has South Carolina State and Morgan State.
Starting point is 01:11:44 It's the Mac. Yeah, I guess they weren't originally going to try to contest it, but now they are, and I'm like, yeah, you should. I mean, there's no way they're going to change that. No. But no. It's the principal. But Michigan's fried either way.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Dude, it seems like it. Who are they playing? No way, no. Oh, you. Oh, you. I think at OU, right? Boomer sooner, maybe. Boomer sooner.
Starting point is 01:12:10 Good question. It don't matter. I think OU is going to roll them. Oh, you. Roll them. No, I think it's in Ann Arbor. Okay. What a tough place to play.
Starting point is 01:12:22 The big house. That's a pretty big house. It's a pretty big house. Apparently doesn't get that loud, though, just because of the sheep. Fair enough. All right. Me see. other big games?
Starting point is 01:12:35 I mean, you might not. I think it's a big game. Ohio State, Texas. That's a big game. I think it's a big game. I got the Ohio State. Going to Austin. You have Ohio State?
Starting point is 01:12:50 Yeah. Yeah. I actually want the opposite. Sorry Ohio State fan listeners and sorry, Trey. But I like Ohio State taking a licking early. I'm going. O.H on this one.
Starting point is 01:13:04 Now look at us. We're all synced up. Well, maybe. I'm going to make a note. Make a note. Because I go to Texas. Okay. Nah, because I don't like, I just think, I think they're out for payback from last year.
Starting point is 01:13:19 Think Ohio State is still. But man, Ohio State looks good, though. I think they steam. I think they went by three touchdowns. Wow. This was the first time, though, that SEC went undefeated. Well, it just means more. It does.
Starting point is 01:13:34 It does. It's like 2016, I think. Oh, dang. Like, every SEC team won. Any other notable games? Not really. No, I don't think so. Ooh, North Dakota. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:13:53 North Dakota for Air Force. It's not notable. Nope. No. Well, Trey, short episode, a lot going on. Why don't you bring this thing down for landing? Make sure to reference sea power, air power, arty power. But remind everyone, the battles are won on land.

Starting point is 01:15:06 Hit him with their C power, quickly pivot to a land invasion. BW. It's on his website, I think. Big Corbett guy. Yeah, and a big Corbett quote, like right, yeah, you can't miss it. Tax season is continuous.
