We've got a lot.
We just leave that conversation.
Gork has broken our coffee machine.
She looked like I'm going about to see yourself.
Are you pushing out or something?
Got a dilemma here, which you can help solve this week.
Thank you.
You can send it back. I don't want a coffee machine.
What?
Two cottages next door to each other, so...
One for me and one for all of them.
It was...
What would Gemma's...
Would Gemma's favourite thing.
Did you Trump then?

Hello, we're back for another episode
of Lost in Translation.
Lost in Translation,
but it's an exciting one.
Which episode is this one right now,
40-something?
This is the episode where we let everyone know,
not only will be nominated for the podcast award,
we were shortlisted because you all voted,
So thank you so so much.
We now just need to be short, shortlisted and win.
Yes.
And to do that, we need your vote.
Honestly, when this came through via the team, when they told us we were even nominated,
we're not even a year old yet, are we?
So we were, the whole team was blown away.
So thank you.
And then we said, what happens now?
And they said, well, if you get shortlisted, you go through again.
And we actually said, probably won't get shortlisted, but it's great to be here.
Yeah.
We got shortlisted.
So now you guys keep voting.
I was going to say, I need to keep voting, but no, you guys need to keep voting.
I know, he said, can I vote myself?
So then it's not like, you know, like when you do a team job, you know, keep voting so then it's worth.
Also, talking about winning, you know, like a couple of weeks ago, Spain won the World Cup, yeah, if you didn't know it.
So when the players win something, they always go, oh, if I win and make my hair blonde or my hair pink.
What would you do if you win that award?
If we win the British podcast award,
we need to take our podcast on the road
to personally thank everyone who's voted.
No, that's us in the podcast.
I'm saying you specifically, what will you do?
Get another dog.
If I win the podcast, I'll run 10K.
I'll get another dog.
Yeah, but I'll just get another dog.
Well, what would you do?
Are you going to dye your hair?
No, I let it grow.
What would you do then?
Why are you trying to catch me out to do something?
I don't know.
But please.
I'll say if they vote and we help us to win it and we won it,
I'll do it like have topless than this year.
Well, I clearly can't do it topless, can I?
Therefore not.
Can you imagine?
It was very distracting.
Can you imagine the backlash of that?
Yeah.
But please do.
It's a listener's Choice Awards at the British Podcast.
So it is literally the listener.
Your choice.
You is your choice.
So if you haven't already, please, please go on the Spotify app.
Search for the British Podcast Awards.
It's so, so easy to do.
And on a page, you get three votes so you can spend all votes on all.
Three on us.
Tell your mom, your dad, your sister, your auntie, your grandma, your neighbor, your friends.
Everybody will vote.
In fact, I'm going to tell every single person of the workshop next week without doing it.
To vote.
If no, I don't understand the lesson.
They don't teach dancing.
To make it easier, we have put a link description in the episode as well.
So if you're watching on YouTube, you will see it there.
So before we get into this week's episode and catch up with the week and all that,
we've got a present off the team.
Do we?
Now I genuinely don't know what this is, do you?
I hope it's a crosshand.
A page.
something like that.
Well, I don't know.
Henry, what is it?
So, Gemma, do you remember
when you said this on the podcast?
Thursday recorder club,
I was in a recorder club
and Friday swimming
and Saturday, track and field.
What is that record?
La flauda?
Yeah, I can play the recorder.
Yeah.
If you've got me a recorder,
I would play it.
I can play the recorder.
Yeah, I bet you can.
I stand by that comment,
I can play the recorder.
So, as a present,
and Mia, can you pass this to your mom?
We've brought you a recorder
so you can show us your skills.
Thank you, Mia.
Nice.
I hope that doesn't make it home because I know who's going to be playing that all day
and it's not Gemma.
So this is why you should never lie on podcast because you could get caught out.
Good job, I didn't lie.
I'm telling the truth.
I'm telling you, if you go to my Instagram and scroll a couple of years back,
there is a video of my Instagram from a Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve,
around the Christmas time.
In our bedroom, we are playing the recorder in the bedroom and having a laugh of our day.
That's what we do.
in the bedroom. Do you want me to play something now?
Yeah. I can play Titanic in it.
Are you ready? Have you seen me play the recorder, Mia?
No, wait.
B-C-D, B-C-C-B-C-D, B-A-A-A.
Wait.
Wait, I can't do this.
Yeah, sure.
She's a smoke cellar.
No, wait.
No, I can. I can play the recorder. Wait.
She looked like an you're not about to see yourself.
Are you pushing out at some?
There you go.
And now can imagine I can play it better than her.
That would be embarrassing for you.
What tune can you play though?
Titanic!
I think if they'd have heard that, they would have wanted to sink,
wouldn't they?
We can't spend the whole podcast like that, look.
See, I'm doing it with my fingers now.
If I'm asking me back one more time.
Wait.
What tune's that?
Ta-Tara-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta.
Wait, one minute.
It's the only thing to stand for 10 years.
To prove I can do it.
If, uh, for the BBC National Orchestra,
If you need someone to play the flute
for your concert at the Roger Lover Hall, please take your...
Please ask me.
I can play two songs.
Talking about that, you know what amazes me?
Have you ever seen, like, you know when there's the BBC Orchestra?
Yeah, yeah.
You have the, like, the course, the wind, you know?
It's amazing how they play and everything.
But there is always one instrument that makes me laugh.
And it's the guy with the triangle or just with the two plates.
Because normally the triangle noise of the two blades
it's not very play, it's not play a lot, yeah?
So when you watch them like playing live,
the guy is like this, yeah?
Wait a great moment.
He goes,
yes, it was an important instrument.
I know, I made him laugh because everybody's like there playing,
passing the pages, scrolling on the iPad, and he's there.
I always wonder,
I always wonder if the conductors are real.
Like, did the conductors are,
could anyone conduct?
No.
Because they just seem to just...
No.
So one hand, so one hand,
they have the la batuta
the little stick
yeah and then the other one
one is telling them the rhythm
they four by four like the compass
yeah so it goes like
one two three four
one two three
and then the other one yeah
is telling them when they have to go in
or which instrument goes in
that makes sense
yeah so I make it makes sense
but I always think to myself
are they just there for show
because surely the musicians
will know when they're coming in
always three four four
four
if you've not listened for a while

Criking.
You see, I'm lost in a lot of coffee.
So yeah, thank you so much for supporting.
Thank you for listening.
And let's catch up with the week.
Well, I bet I know.
Henry, you will laugh at this today.
In fact, everyone listening will laugh.
I think he knows it already.
Gork has broken our coffee machine.
Yesterday.
He broke our coffee machine.
Which side are you, yeah?
If you want to have an ice cream later, yeah?
Don't bribe her with food.
You're on my side.
Yeah, he broke the coffee machine
and he said it was my fault.
No, he didn't say your fault.
My, I have a whisk to whisk.
Actually, it is your fault.
Yeah, I have a little whisk to whisk my collagen and stuff.
In the middle, on the way.
In my coffee, so it's next to the coffee maker.
Gawker was making a coffee.
He accident, I was nowhere.
I was in the dining room.
He accidentally knocked my whisk,
and in trying to catch it,
he hit the coffee machine
and the jug of water,
the water tank,
fell and smashed.
So somehow I left my whisk
in the way of his wrist,
which then knocked the coffee over.
It was my elbow.
Even though I was sat on a chair
in a completely different room.
The coffee ball for the water
was in my hand already.
However, I said to him,
I said that machine's covered.
I pay a little insurance on that machine.
so a new filter jug is arriving today.
Can we just make like a parenthesis here?
How you call it that I bracket?
Yeah.
You pay an insurance for a coffee machine, yeah?
No, I don't pay an insurance.
It's got cover with it.
No, no, let me go there.
She paid an insurance for a coffee machine to cover the coffee machine, yeah?
But she didn't even give me the coffee machine.
So you couldn't give me the coffee?
It's not your birthday yet?
No, I know.
You might have one for, I asked if you won't be your birthday, you said no, after all this.
After all this, if after this, all of these, you gave me a coffee machine,
for my birthday, you can send it back.
I don't want a coffee machine.
What? I don't want a coffee machine.
What, do you?
Your birthday?
No, a coffee machine now.
The coffee machine train is gone now.
Oh, okay.
I love to go ahead and rest for a coffee machine.
I'm fine now with an espresso machine.
But Ninja UK, if you listen to this,
I'm happy for you to send me a coffee machine.
God.
We have just come back from Ribby Hall.
We've had three days there, didn't we?
We drove to Lidham, St. Annes,
took Benji to the beach for the first time.
Yeah, I took you to the nice coffee shop.
Yeah, it was.
was really, really good.
You loved it in the year.
Regis's coffee or Regis Baker?
No, Regis.
It was Regis, yeah.
Regis, very good.
If you live in that area,
very nice coffee.
Yeah, it was brill.
And we went with my mom and Peter,
my stepdad, my brother-in-law,
my sister, Rob, my niece,
baby Elaria, Cam, little Harry.
Too many people for my lights.
We got two cottages next door to each other.
One for me and one for all of them.
It was, no, it was really nice.
We had a great time.
Mia went to, it was an L.E.
D disco, wasn't it?
And Tiago, with little Harry.
So it's good.
We learn a game that we are playing now
a home the three of us, isn't it me?
Yeah.
We play now,
eh-on.
Yeah, we're playing donkey with the cards.
Do you know what I loved about it?
It was all the family there,
and we had the weather, the weather was gorgeous.
And Rob did a barbecue with you outside, didn't you?
And then we all sat around the table.
But it was just things like the kids were playing.
We were playing card games,
all having a few drinks,
nice food, music was on
and it was just like, I don't know,
it was just three days of chill.
No time watching, no running out the door.
Oh well, I was running.
You did a run, didn't you?
Yeah.
And you cycled.
He cycled into Blackpool.
We went into Blackpool on Sunday
because Carlos from Strictly
recommended a Chinese restaurant for us to go to,
which was beautiful.
Ocean Palace.
Ocean Palace in Blackpool.
It's near Mark Ellis.
And when you saw me, it was near Mark Ellis.
I thought, oh my God,
this is going to be horrendous.
But the food was beautiful.
and the staff were great.
Yeah.
But coming out, we had a walk down the front
because you're supposed to walk after a big meal, aren't you?
And it was nice weather.
So we all said, let's walk down the front.
He said, just going straight back to the car.
So we had a 20, 25 minute walk.
Mears laughing.
We forgot to realize that it was the punk rocker festival.
So there was around 6,000 punk rockers in Blackpool
that we had to cascade through.
They were all dead friendly,
but there was one man, one in me.
We'd had too much dirty beer.
Yeah, he'd had too much dirty beer this one man
And he had a bus nose
A big cut on his nose
Top hanging off
Asking us if we knew where his hotel was
Bearing in mind
This was like 8 o'clock at night, bless him
So God knows how we ended up
But my mum had an umbrella
He was on to go to the right but went left
Yeah, he went the complete wrong way
And my mum had an umbrella with her didn't she
And at one point she was like Mary Popping
She was like keeping the umbrella
Once she at arm's length
And she said to us, Gorker, just get us back to this bloody car.
Yeah, I was like, I never thought we said that, but let's go back to Rimmie Hall.
Yeah.
But no, so we had a really good few days.
It was nice.
And now I'm back at work.
Yeah.
Back to the radio, back to the pod.
And yeah.
So anyway, you just advanced, what is the thing that annoyed you?
Mine was at the coffee machine broke.
What's annoyed you about me?
Well, we would say, like, coffee machine broke, my phone broke,
and the dryer broke?
The dryer broke when we came back from holiday.
So we couldn't do our washloads
because the days we came back
was when it was raining.
So again, I have a little insurance on it, don't I?
Three pound a month.
So they came out to fix it.
Are you laughing again?
How embarrassing it was.
Yes, and it wasn't broken.
Yeah, it broke for six days
and he came in, the engineer,
and said, so what's the problem with this, gem?
I said, well, it said he won't turn on.
I said, I've tried anything.
I said, look,
and I pressed it
and it turned on
straight away
and he looked at me
as if he'd had
a hellish journey
getting to our house
and I just went
oh my goodness
I said I'm so sorry
I said it hasn't been working
but he changed some filters and bits
anyway he said
while I may I might as well do something
so for six days
we didn't do any washing
thinking the dryer had broke
and then when it got nice
we hung it out
yeah we hung it outside
so that was embarrassing
actually
yeah so it's been a bit
But it is a bit kickball at scramble when you come back a holiday, isn't it, getting back into a routine.
I'm still a bit tired.
I slept shocking last night because it was so hot.
I ended up on the couch.
I sleep on the sofa, yeah.
Open the window, open the windows in the playroom.
He got to about 2 a.m.
And he said, I'm going to have to go down, Gemma.
He said, I'm absolutely roasting.
Yeah.
I'm sweating, literally.
I could do like this, and I was, like, sweating.
Yeah, so you went downstairs.
Also, you like a radiator, plus that doesn't help either.
Yeah, I get hot in the night.
Yeah, you, like, radiate here.
I know.
No, not that you hold.
I say that you give hit.
Oh, okay.
There you go.
The producer's question today is,
if we could change one thing about our relationship,
what would it be?
What would you change?
Loads.
No, I'm just laughing.
I'm just laughing.
I would change.
You.
I'll change you, Emma.
What would you change?
You?
Me?
What would you change me to?
do?
Yes, you?
I don't know if I would change anything.
Your odd socks.
No, socks.
I don't know.
I'd make him less victim, Meldrew, maybe.
Just came up.
What?
I was getting dressed, and I was looking for one of my socks,
but there was invisible socks, but there was just one sock.
And then I was looking to, because we were rushing,
I was looking, I was like, where is my socks?
And I thought, I bet she took my socks.
And you know what annoys me?
I annoys me that I have to end up wearing socks.
today like this.
So you've got odd socks on today.
And he's making my head in.
They're the same brand though.
Oh mine are odd as well actually.
They're the same brand.
But they're different colour.
And they're in...
And see, it's not the end of the world, is it?
Nothing's happened.
It is.
But no, I don't know.
I think it...
Good question, Enrique.
Yeah.
I think the quirkiness.
I don't know.
Your outfit?
I'm just cozy casual today.
You look like an ordinary music.
It's a nice t-shirt, actually, by the way.
It is a nice t-shirt.
It's very comfy.
No, I think I'd be fearful if we did change anything.
It might not work.
Do you know what I mean?
If it's not broke and all that.
But today's message, today's,
well, we've had a few messages from our lovely listeners.
Lauren, do you want to read Lauren or Michelle's?
I read Michelle's.
Okay.
So, hi, Lauren.
Thank you for your message.
She says, hi, Gemma and Gorka.
A listener from Madrid here.
I can't wait to go back to Madrid.
I love tuning in every week.
I'm originally from Nottingham,
but I've lived here permanently since 2014
after meeting my Spanish partner, Nacho,
when I did Erasmus.
What's that?
Erasmus, it's like a school exchange.
Ah, okay.
Just like you two, we have plenty of lost in translation moments,
but the funniest has to be with a friend back home
who at the beginning of our relationship asked me,
anyway, how is Taco doing?
Being British, I ignored the slip up and said,
Oh yeah, Nacho's really good, thanks.
My friend went bright red and said,
oh my God, I just called him Taco, didn't I?
I hope this makes you both laugh as much as Nacho did
when I recounted the story that evening.
Yeah, because Nacho is a short for Ignatio.
Ignatio.
Ignatio is the real name.
Right.
But like a nickname is Nacho.
So people always say,
you know, one of my friends from Madrid is called Nacho.
Yeah, yeah.
And you were like nachos?
And I was like, yes, remember.
Yeah, Nacho taco.
Yeah.
What cheese isn't your choice?
cheese.
The same cheese as your cheese.
Nacho cheese.
Leave you with that one.
Do you want to read Michelle's?
I have two boxes which I have kept special items in from my daughter age 27 and son age 23.
Oh, this is about us holding stuff, isn't it?
Yeah.
They include a positive pregnancy test, clays from the umbilical core, childhood health
records, read books, cards from their birds, christening and fresh birthdays, baby teeth,
Fast shoes, Christianine outfit and any other special items.
Neither of them are interested in keeping them.
So I guess they will go in the bin where I am gone.
Oh.
You do the same.
Yeah, I do.
We keep the teeth.
Do you know what, Michelle?
You say neither of them when they're interested.
They might already have, but if they have or haven't.
I wasn't interested in any of that.
But when you have your own kids, you change your mind.
You know what I mean?
My mum's kept my stuff and I thought, why?
But now I've got my own kids.
I'm like, oh my God, I'm so glad she did.
because I'm going to keep all your stuff, Mia.
My mom has my first student when I was born.
My first stood when he fell,
they took it to be in washing clean,
and they had a necklace, yeah,
where it's put into the necklace,
so it's inside the necklace.
It's that my dad's teddy.
My dad's, there's a teddy in me as a room.
It's 71 years old.
So it was my dad's,
and when he passed away,
my grandma gave it me,
and then when I had Mia, I gave it Mia.
So it's little things like that
that you can't put a price on really.
So they will understand one day.
Miss Siddell on YouTube has got in touch.
Hi, Miss Siddell.
She says, I wish Mia would become a child actor
and make an appearance on Emmerdale.
She could play Marlon's secret daughter
from when Carly left with an ex-boyfriend.
Yeah, so I played Carly Mia before you were even born.
And my boyfriend in the show was Marlon,
who's a friend of mine called Mark in real life.
So yeah, you could go.
Would you like to go on Emmerdale or not really?
When we were on holiday, we were talking about acting.
Yeah, she does a lot of acting in the house for us.
She makes up shows.
It's a lot of hard work though and you have to learn your lines.
I did do a lot of acting in you too.
Did you?
Yeah.
Nice.
You have to be able to hit your mark.
You have to find the light.
You have to find the camera, make sure the boom doesn't get in.
Jack and the Beanstalk.
You did that, yeah.
A different story.
Yeah.
And it was like fun because you have to act out like, you know, like the movement as well.
Yeah.
There wasn't like a lot of blinders, more like movement.
Yeah.
You'll notice as well with Mia there's a lot of likes when she speaks because you, Mia skipped the whole Disney phase of stuff, didn't you?
You watch a lot of the American shows.
You love I, Carly.
Like an American girl.
Like I said.
You were also the one you like, victorious.
Yeah.
but another thing like...
It's like...
We've also had a message in from Damien
but it's also a dilemma for us to answer.
Okay, tune, tune, tune.
Lost in translation is sponsored by Shell.
Shell V-Power Fuel is the only fuel
that you'll find Ferrari using,
which honestly is enough motivation for me to use it.
It's about looking for the best,
which is something we do with everything else,
So why wouldn't we do the same with topping up the car?
Getting the best out of life is really important to us.
I mean, we do loads of things.
Recently, we've been doing the ice bath, the sauna, trying to sleep.
Stretching, red light.
Just getting out in the sunshine as well.
And I've tried to improve my diet a little bit off the back of the holiday we had.
It's all about those little improvements adding up, whether it's looking after ourselves or looking after the car.
Making small changes can make a real difference.
Exactly. And if you're looking to get the best out of your drive too, Shell V-power is designed to help keep your engine performing at its best. So check out Shell V-power at your local Shell. And now, let's get back to the show. So we've got Mia in now. Gorker's, really just there. You've not gone, have you? We've got a dilemma, Mia, which you can help solve this week. This is from Damien. And he says, hi, Gemma and Gawker. I've got a dilemma about my neighbour. It started at the beginning.
of summer. I decided in April that I'd spend the summer looking after my garden, my granddad's
garden, was his pride and joy, so I thought I'd carry on the family tradition and keep mine tidy.
When we had the first of many heat waves we've had this year, I spent the weekend digging up
flower beds and mowing the lawn. On Sunday, just as I was finishing, my neighbour peered over the fence
to complement my work and then asked if he could lend my tools to do his. I figured that it'd have them
back to me by the time I needed to touch mine up again, so I said yes, we're now four months
later and I still haven't got them back.
Every time I ask, he says he's planning to do it
in that weekend and he'd give them to me
the Monday, but he never does. How would you go around
getting them back as my garden is now overgrown?
So next door's basically
borrowed his garden tools, but not giving them back in four months.
That's not borrowing.
What is that? Stealing?
I mean, kind of.
Yeah, it is. What would you do?
I mean, I would just, like, march over there
And like, because, like, you would know if there's neighbour, like, what you could do is you'll need two days of this or maybe more.
One day, I would, on day one, I would sneak over and see what time he's leaving.
And then, and then I know, and then they'll be in his garden somewhere maybe, or in his house.
And then I can see where he's keeping them.
Yeah.
Then I can go and take them and get them.
Yes.
Be a little opportunist.
Get your opportunity to get them back.
It's just the magic that I watch.
Someone's like a detective stuff.
that's fine. I would just, like Mia says, I would be full force, Damien, because every time he says I'm planning to do it this weekend, you need to say, pal, you've said that for the last 12 weekends. Like Mia says, it's not borrowing. You could say, listen, at this point, you're really not borrowing them, you've taken them, I want them back. You could, I mean, you wouldn't use police force for that. It's a waste of the police time, isn't it?
Like my teacher to say, try, and then, you know, what he's doing, and then, you know, maybe what the next love.
Try, try, and then just go and rob them back.
If it was me, I'd go around with Benji.
I would. I'd go around with Benji.
Oh, with Tiago?
Yeah, you don't want to mess with Tiago, do you?
You don't want to mess with that little bruiser.
Yeah.
I would send Tiago around to knock on the door and be like, er.
He's taking the Mick out of you, Damien, so I would just be firm.
You know, you're not doing anything wrong.
The your tools, you've been really kind in lending them.
He's not giving me back.
time up, you want them back, your garden needs doing.
Say your granddad wants them.
Just say to them, say to him, I need these back now,
my granddad's doing them.
I think always ask them, how long will you be?
And if they say that amount, and if it's past them,
they're obviously not borrowing it, they're stealing it.
Yeah.
But then, obviously, it could have taken more days because of work.
What would you do if someone at school borrowed your pencil case
and didn't give it back?
Talking about that, we always share pencil cases.
Do you?
Yeah, that's good.
We had the thing where every pencil case,
got loose missing.
Not everyone, but pens just, you know,
because we had a pen rubber.
All that rubber, sharpeners, pens were going missing
and then it started with pencil cases.
Well, do you want to thank Damien for his dilemma?
Thank you.
Say thank you for getting in touch, Damien.
Oh, thank you, Mia.
He did very well there.
You see how...
Oh, sorry.
You see that's how cute she is
And how clever she's
That's why I'm going to end up fighting teenage boys
Because look at her
Do you know what I'm going to do
I can't bear it
Well you know
You know all the tight box in the youth when your young days
You're just too much Mia
We had a football
About Mbapie in the car didn't we
Yeah
Mia was convinced Mbapie played for England
But then he wore in kind of in England
Yeah and we said he couldn't
I think because he's from France
She was like he played for England.
He plays in a white shirt.
We went, what France do as well.
And sometimes Spain do.
And then she went, oh, okay, fair enough.
Point proven.
And then we said, oh, yeah, so do England.
So you were kind of, like.
And then I couldn't, then me and Papa come in to teach with that.
I was going to ask what you would do with Damien Gorka.
Convinced yourself, yeah.
But you probably wouldn't even let him borrow the tools, would you in the first place?
You'd just go, no, go and buy some.
You know where being curious?
I would knock in the door.
Yeah, you'd probably.
You've got to get it back, Damien.
With my Spanish attitude.
Yeah, it's your tools.
Fight your ground for them tools.
It's your land.
As always, oh, thank you to Damien
and everyone else who's got in touch.

Should we do this week's game?
Yes, my favorite part.
Okay, so as it was National Couples Day yesterday,
our producers want to see how in sync we are.
We've got five sentences each,
and we're going to finish the sentence,
so we'll read out and then both write the answers down
and see if we can get it right.
This is not that difficult because we know each other.
You don't know what questions I've got?
No, I know, but we know each other a little bit, I guess,
after like eight years.
We are very opposite,
so just think whatever you think it will be,
might be just the opposite.
That's true.
Okay, so should I go first with your question?
Yeah.
What song makes you think about me the most?
And you say the answer.
I would say the Rocky song.
Really?
Yeah.
Oh, I've got it wrong.
There you go.
I was writing,
There's nothing holding me back off here.
Because whenever that comes on, you always go, this is your cha-cha-cha.
Yeah, no, I would say Rocky.
The Rocky theme?
Yeah, because you're just Rocky, yeah.
I'm just rocking.
You're in the gym just like training, so I would say Rocky, yeah.
What's your first question for me?
So if I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it will be, I say, you answer?
I think possibly pizza.
Pizza.
It would either be pizza or mac and cheese.
Gorka's biggest fear.
Cuts.
If I let you throw away one item of mine in the house, what will it be from you?
Yeah
I mean
I'm gonna just say something
I think it was
take away all your odd socks
because you do know we wear old socks
Nice
I wrote down socks
That's what I throw it anyway
Yeah but that's the thing you see
I don't have anything
Other than the sentimental stuff
Where I'd be like
Do not throw them away
That's why life's better to be chill
You don't have the stress of don't have any stress
Like what would I throw away of yours
I just said the laptop in the night
Oh yeah
bloody laptop that he has on so bright at night.
In 10 years' time, I see us.
This is for you.
Definitely in a different house.
My answer was going to be on holidays,
just about to be on holidays with our kids.
That's my answer.
I've put in our forever house with a house abroad as well.
Nice.
Because the house are in now, as lovely as it is,
it's not our forever home.
And I think in 10 years we'd want to be...
I mean, how old would Mia be?
She'll be 17.
That's what I mean.
She would not even want to come on holidays with us.
Do you know, when we were in Blackpool,
Mia was walking with my niece,
and so my nephew's at the minute,
well, they were last week in Ibitha, Hadley and Tyler.
And Nushka said to Mia,
you'll be going there when you're older.
And Mia was like, I know.
And I said, I'll be coming in Ibitha with you.
And Mia went,
Mum, by then you probably won't be cool enough.
So then he said, I'll come with them.
And I was like, okay.
That's what she said.
I said by then.
Yeah.
And then I also...
Whoa, whoa, do you see that?
Yeah, I did.
And then I also had a top
that I've had for years,
really scruffy.
It's one that you wear on the beach.
It's got all holes in it.
It's a baggie.
You wear it over a costume.
And I said to her,
when we got back from holiday,
I said, should I throw this away now?
And she went, no, I wouldn't throw it away.
She said, I'd just save it till you're about 62.
Hey, Mia, listen,
you just say what I think,
so you just go for it.
Okay.
Save me the argument.
What's your next question for me?
So my next question is, if my happiest memory of us is...
Not including kids?
You don't have to write it, I have to say it.
Oh, no, you have to write it.
I'll write it already.
I'll be the holiday in Greece, I think.
Yeah, great.
We had the best time in Greece.
I don't really know this because I wasn't born.
You weren't born.
That's why it was...
I'm joking.
Are you writing down?
Who's getting more rights and who knows better the other?
So many.
Okay.
Because it's obviously who knows better the other one, yeah?
If someone gave me a million pound right now, what would I spend it on?
So, if I give you a million pounds, yeah?
You will spend it in what?
I'd give it to like a farm dog charity and get my own.
What did I say here?
A farm.
Yeah, no, I've always said to him, I said if someone, when I see people, like,
with loads and loads and loads of money buying stupid things,
every time I say to Gorker, if you had that money,
think what you could do for the animals and stuff with this.
And he was like, Gemma.
And I said, no, you would.
We could buy a plot of land.
I've rescued cows, chickens, pigs, have it all.
You'd spend it on something material.
Probably a house or a car, G-Wag.
No?
No, what would you do?
I would buy a nice house for my parents.
A house, yeah.
No, not for me.
I will just spend it in my family.
Your mum wouldn't let you buy her a house.
She will.
I don't care if.
She wouldn't, but I would just give it a kiss.
Yeah, she wouldn't.
She's got a beautiful beach house
and she would say, we're happy, give it.
to the kids. I know your mum would say that.
So me, the person I trust the most outside my family is...
One, two, three.
Hiapal.
Laura, Iapal.
Hi, a pal.
Every morning, you're on a voice now.
Aya pal, you're right.
Yeah, Laura knows where all the bodies are dig, Doug, hidden.
Nice.
Yeah.
What would Gemma's favourite thing...
Did you trump then?
Are you just casually letting off with...
Nice.
It's not by accident.
Oh my goodness.
Do you know that I go on a mic, no?
Because I've taught her, never hold it.
Yeah, well, Mike, do you know my dad?
Would just try and make it a bit quieter.
My dad had a very important meeting.
And he had like, you know that when you had the stomach aches that you have to,
he held it, he held it, the whole meeting.
He ended up in E&E, three days in hospital.
Because he got a trap and go nodding his intestines.
and he got like very bad
like very bad
they almost have to open him
to let the air come out of the intestine
that's how bad it was
to do that to cows
when cows get gas
the dog talks on him
do never hold your gas
it's so bad
so there you got me
and don't worry
I've got one more question for you
what would my favourite thing
be about being with you
how I cook probably food
and how I'm with the kids
favourite thing
yeah when I saw him on holiday
playing with the kids
I was like, oh, because obviously you love your partner anyway,
but when you see them being good parents to the kids,
I think it makes you a little bit more, I don't know,
it's not more fanciable, it's just you think, yeah,
you've got a good on there when they spend time with kids.
But, Mommy, you said this a long time ago.
I thought it would be that you're not married,
so then you don't, so then you can fight.
We can fight?
No, but like.
Oh, like we always choose?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Mia was asking about getting married.
And I said, the fact we're not married is because you're always choosing each other every day.
Yeah, that's like...
We're not legally bound.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
It's a choice every day.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I know.
Now, we've had loads of chats about boys, aren't we, and weddings and all this?
Let me just leave that conversation.
Too young for boy chat.
But that's it.
That's all we've got time for today.
Thank you so much for tuning in.
Wait, no, no.
Give us a game, no? Where is the course?
Gawki, you won.
Oh, Gawker won.
Because I know, we had this conversation the other day.
Like, she can be talking to me.
She was like, are you listening?
I said, I'll listen more than you.
Listen to me.
Well, Gawker won that game.
Don't worry.
There's another game next week.
I might even it out.
But it's not just the game,
but you know that I know you probably better than you know me.
Well, I don't know.
It depends on what aspect.
Because you're like a chameleon.
You're constantly changing.
No, I'm not.
Week to week.
No, I'm not.
You're always Victor Meldrew.
But I think this is like the conversation they have with Enrique when Henry, when it comes to the gifts, you know, you just observe and read the room and read the person, isn't it? She doesn't do that?
No.
She just goes, oh, I think you will like this.
I think you like this. It's good enough. It's fine.
No.
It's a highland cow.
Yeah, there you go.
I mean, a cow is nice because I will have a stay for months.
It's good because birthday soon.
It's not longer for your birthday.
Let's leave that because that will be another episode of this appointment of like this agreement.
The birthday app is one I'm dreading.
