Welcome to Foundations Friday 36. How will you brighten someone else's day today?
This came from a quote that I found on the internet when I shared a beautiful picture of a
sunrise. And the actual quote is, every sunrise is an invitation for us to arise and brighten
someone's day from Janice Craig. And it was just a really good quote, I think, because sometimes,
right, we're up in the morning, maybe we're a little tired. It's hard to think about how am I going to help somebody else today, but will it be holding the door for someone when they go into a store,
grabbing that extra shopping cart that somebody didn't take back because they were lazy and you thought, you know what?
That person working here at the whatever grocery store has to go collect all these things because some people are lazy.
So let's make it a little easier. I'll grab this extra one and take it back for you. Or if it's a project manager, right? Can you help streamline
someone's task, get them the help they needed that they weren't getting feedback on or reassure
leadership through, you know, doing a good job or just talking to your teammates, not even about
the project or the, or the office, but about them and asking about them. So that's what I'm going
to think about today. Maybe you all can
consider that too on this Foundations Friday. How do we brighten somebody else's day? Every day is
an opportunity for that. And I thank you for the opportunity to share short messages like this,
full episodes. I hope you're enjoying the content. I look forward to some guests we're going to have
on in the near future. And no episode this week. So thanks for hanging on with me. Took a
little time off after getting back and celebrating 20 years with my wife, which is awesome. And so
our next episode will be what are 10 things that we think collaboratively five from each of us
that helped us get to 20 years of marriage may not fit everybody, but we think they're pretty good
and they've worked for us. And I hope that this show has worked for you. Please go check
out people process, progress.com. There's some resources on there. Um, some templates, things
like that. If you want to be on the show, there's a link there too, to share your story. We can link
up, talk about how you can as a person, share your story, whatever processes you've used that
work or didn't work and how we can collectively help others make progress. Right? So thanks so
much out there. Please stay safe, wash those hands and Godspeed.
