I've learned that the rooms we walk into reflect the faith we carry, but they also reveal
something else. Sometimes people are at their worst and that's exactly when we can lean in and help them.
I've been on both sides of that. I've been the one trying to hold it together, and I've also been
the one who stepped in when I saw someone struggling. As a new father, barely sleeping, trying to
figure out how to balance life, work, responsibility. Another dad at daycare asked me how I was doing,
and of course I said, fine.
And he said, no, you're not okay, are you?
He saw me, he didn't judge me, he just noticed.
And that moment has stayed with me.
Years later, during the hardest stretch of my midlife crisis,
a stranger asked me for money.
I helped him.
But before he drove away, he looked at me and said,
those problems you're facing,
God will get you through them.
This guy knew nothing about me.
Yet somehow he knew exactly what I needed to hear.
That moment stayed with me and will forever.
Those moments taught me something simple.
People can be at their lowest, and one act of faith from someone else can steady them.
Faith in people is not blind.
Faith in people is paying attention.

Now, let's get into the meat of this episode.
For this Faith in Action Friday, I want to talk about something that connects direct.
to this week's full episode.
We covered our progress depends on getting the right people in the room.
Today I want to shift from that leadership skill to a faith practice.
Because having the right people around you is not just good strategy.
There's a form of faith.
Faith in others.
Faith in yourself.
Faith in the work you're trying to do.
There have been times when I chose wrong.
Times when I tried to carry everything alone.
Times when I did not trust people enough to invite them in.
I think many of us know that feeling.
This is where faith has to step in.
Let's look at this through the people process and progress lens.
The right room is about people, but it's also about the process we use to trust them, right?
And the progress that then comes from that trust.
Faith is part of all three of these areas.
It takes faith to believe someone can bring value.
It takes faith to let people challenge your thinking.
It takes faith to believe that you belong in those rooms too.
I reflecting on myself, there was a time when I stopped inviting.
people into my decisions because I felt needed to carry everything myself. It wasn't strength.
It was kind of fear disguised as leadership. I lost face than others and in what shared effort
could bring. When I finally opened the door again and pulled the right people into the room,
that all changed. They brought clarity, calm, perspective that I couldn't create alone, that I
shouldn't have tried to create alone. The truth is, they had faith in me long before I had faith
and myself again. Choosing the right people is a form of faith. Trusting their input is a form
of faith. Believing that progress comes from collaboration for sure is a form of faith. As an anchor point,
let's think about that faith in the right people is about believing that you don't have to carry
the weight alone, right? It's about trusting that the right voices can bring direction when your compass
drifts. It's about letting people speak into your life, your leadership, and your work. People shape our
direction, process shapes how we work together, progress comes from what we build as a team,
and faith helps tie all that together. So today, before you step into the rest of your day,
think about this. Who do you need to invite into your world again? Someone you trust, someone who
sharpens you, someone who brings clarity, someone who helps you steady the load. Faith in the
right people is a choice, and you get to make that choice today. With that question, settle in
and let it guide how you move through the day.
Close this out.
Faith in the right people is one of the strongest anchors we have.
When you find the right people and trust them, you move further than you ever could alone.
People first, process aligned, progress together so that we can own our minds, move our bodies,
and anchor our spirits.
Thank you all for listening.
