Thinking on Friday traditions from Christianity, Judaism and the Muslim faiths as well as Remember Everyone Deployed (RED) Friday.

Hey everybody, welcome to Foundations Friday 12. Let's make every Friday Good Friday. Good Friday, certainly that terminology is from Christianity. We remember Jesus being crucified on the cross, and then in three days he will rise on Easter. It's also significant for the Jewish faith, where it's the start of Passover, which is a remembrance of the exodus of the Jews from Egypt after they were delivered from slavery. And even for Muslims, it's a day of congregation, particularly in the midday prayer time when folks go to pray together at the mosques. And another thing I think for me that kind of was the prompt for something we can consider

every Friday is Red Friday. Remember, everyone deployed Friday, right? So ideally that the focus of that was focused on military men and women deployed right away from their homes and families that have given some the last full measure of their lives in battle, but certainly are away from their families and friends and in danger of foreign lands. But I also remember the folks here that are deployed that are fighting fires and patching up injuries in emergency medical services and getting shot and defending others from bad guys. Some of the craziness we've had with shootings,

but police officers go through that stuff every day and other folks in hospitals and healthcare and folks working through in the office, but particularly folks that are deployed out there on the front lines, keeping us safe as a country, both on foreign soil and domestically here at home. I think that is something that every Friday we should remember. And, you know, whatever religion you choose to follow, certainly this weekend is a big one. But I think every Friday we can remember the sacrifices of all those around us, those that have come before us,

those that are sacrificing now, and those that will continue to sacrifice. I thank you all very much for listening to the show. I hope you are having a great day.
