Welcome to Politics by Faith.
This is where we take the news of the day.
We bring it to the Bible so we can walk away with peace and perspective.
It's new headlines every day.
But ecclesiasis says there's nothing new under the sun.
So thanks for being here to get the true story.
And at the end of the show today, we will have a little better idea of the importance of discernment.
The story of the day today just denounce the Muslim Brotherhood.
What really happened here?
there is a candidate for office
Senate
Michigan
his name's Abdul Rahman
Mohammed al-Said
means a Muslim
a proud Muslim
he was featured in a New York Times article
back in 2009
about banks
who are doing a great job
serving their Muslim clients
with loans that are Sharia compliant
and they
talked to this guy in Michigan
his name's Abdul Rahman Muhammad al-Said happens to be the same guy.
So he was talking, so he was Sharia combined back then,
and he's talked about how he follows Sharia today.
And there have been efforts recently to get him to disavow the Muslim Brotherhood.
Now, I'll give my answer.
I want to play this clip here.
It's a longer exchange, but I want to play the whole thing because the news never does.
This is at some campaign event in Michigan.
So I want to play the whole thing here.
This gentleman has the courage to ask the question, but doesn't quite have one or two points that he really needs in order to make this a better exchange from his perspective.
But here he is confronting Abdul Rahman Muhammad al-Said.
It's a simple question.
No, your friend's got the mic.
I'm asking you a simple question.
You give me your name.
I'll answer the question.
Okay, Tommy.
Hi, Tommy.
How are you?
I'm great.
Are you?
Do you know what the Constitution of the United States is?
I have one simple question.
Will you disavow the Muslim world?
Sure.
Yeah, absolutely.
but I want to ask to the question that you're asking.
Why are you asking the question?
Well, because they're a terrorist group.
Okay.
No, no, but what are you implying?
Do you assume that I wouldn't?
Yes.
Why not?
Because I have not heard you disavow them yet.
Have you disavowed them?
I haven't heard you disavowed them yet.
I disagree.
Do you great.
But here's the thing about it.
You're asking the question
because implicitly you assume
that I'll have dual loyalties.
Right?
You assume that somehow I wouldn't disavow.
Or that I'll have some higher order allegiance than the Constitution.
Correct?
Tommy, is that what you imply?
Why would you think that about you?
Because I have not heard you diso.
No, no, no.
Why would you actually think that about me?
Because I have not heard you dissuade that?
But I just did, but why would you actually think that?
Why would you, have you asked everybody in your life if they disavow it?
I have not.
So why are you asking me?
Because I have not heard you.
No, no, no.
Answer the question, Tommy.
Everybody knows the answer to it and answer the question.
All right.
So let me just tell you.
Let me just tell you, I'm going to swear an oath to the Constitution in the United States.
And that Constitution guarantees us all.
The right to practice whatever faith we want, don't face at all.
And now, you assume, Tommy, that because I am Muslim,
that somehow I would have some allegiance to something that is not our Constitution.
That's your assumption. That's implicit in the question.
And what's interesting to me is that this is not the first time people have asked,
those kinds of questions. Because do you know who John F. Kennedy is? Do you know who that is? Tommy?
I do. All right. Do you know what he was asked as the first possible Catholic president
of the United States? What did they ask him? You don't remember? You should read history.
Tommy, when he ran for president, he was asked whether or not he was going to have allegiance to the
Pope at the Vatican because, of course, he's Catholic. And his answer famously was that he was
not running to be a Catholic president, he was running to be president and happened to be Catholic.
And so, you know, it's important, I think, because you would ask this question
in a way that suggests that somehow our constitution shouldn't be the thing that all of us
bear allegiance to. And I'm just telling me that for me, that constitution is the guiding life.
It guarantees me the right to pray as I choose to pray. We're not pray at all.
Guarantees you to play or not play at all.
Now Tommy, I'm going to ask you about your faith.
Are you a man of faith?
I am.
What faith do you practice?
I am a Christian.
You're a Christian.
Do you, no, no.
I mean, it's a good question.
Look out.
Do you live by Christian doctrine?
I would say so, yes.
Good.
And you try as hard as you can to live by Christian doctrine, right?
Do you think I have to live by Christian doctrine?
Do you?
Do you?
It's up to me, right?
Why?
Why is it up to me?
Because we have free will.
Right. Free will and also in this country, what else do we have?
What else do we have, Tommy?
No, I mean, you're asking me about my allegiance to the Constitution.
It's the Constitution, my God.
We have a Constitution.
And that Constitution guarantees you the right to live by your faith
and guarantees me the right to do the same.
And the reality of it is this.
I'm never going to tell you what faith you can or can't practice.
I want to protect your right to practice your faith as you choose as a Christian man.
The protection though is that it seems like you don't want to protect my right to practice as I choose to do.
Do you disavow any attempt to read any religious doctrine into the laws of our country?
I do not.
You don't disavow that.
So I think it's you who needs to understand the Constitution now.
Yeah.
At one point in there, he, Al-Said said, so you assume because I'm a Muslim that somehow I would have
have some allegiance to something that is not our constitution.
And my response to that would be, yeah, of course.
Duh, like, what do you think of?
Of course I have that assumption.
If you're a practicing Muslim, then yeah, you would.
If you're a good Muslim, you would have allegiance to something above our constitution.
The Quran is explicit that you should, are you with me?
Quran is, uh, uh, Asai says, you know, why, why do you think you're,
Continuation is you're racist.
You're a racist because you think I hold something above the Constitution.
Like, no, no, no, I just think you're a good Muslim.
I believe you hold the Quran above the Constitution because I believe you when you say you're a Muslim man.
The Quran's explicit that you should hold allegiance to the Quran.
Surah 924, say, oh, Muhammad.
So this is like Allah telling Mohammed to say, if your father's, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives,
wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which
you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allah and his messenger and jihad in his cause.
So if you value these other things, more than Allah, then wait until Allah executes his command.
And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
So there will be a consequence from Allah.
If you don't put him first, that's what the Quran says.
That's right there.
Just write out.
I don't know what we always say I read it.
Here's a list, all these other things that you might put.
The Constitution might as well be in that list too.
And here's all the bad things.
There's going to be consequences if you don't put the Quran first.
This is Surah Afathath chapter 48 verse 10.
Indeed, those who pledge allegiance to you, O Muhammad, they are actually pledging
allegiance to Allah. The hand of Allah is over their hands. So he who breaks his word only breaks it to the
detriment of himself. And he who fulfills that which he has promised Allah, he will give him a great reward.
So if you're not loyal to Muhammad in his teachings, then bad things are going to happen to you.
It's going to be a detriment to yourself. And if you do the things that the Qurans say, then there's
going to be a great reward. So of course, I'm not being a racist by saying, I think you're going to hold
something above the Constitution. I'm, I'm, I'm,
giving you the benefit of the doubt.
Like I believe you when you say you're a practicing Muslim,
and that's what a good Muslim would do.
Because the Quran says you don't put anything above it.
Now, that's part one of my analysis.
Part two of my answer, if I was that gentleman who had the courage to stand up in that crowd.
Because I know there would someone say, well, hold on, Sleiter.
You say a Muslim should put the Quran above the Constitution if he's a good Muslim.
Shouldn't a Christian put the Bible above the Constitution too?
Yeah, of course.
God's law is definitely above the Constitution, obviously.
Here's the thing, though.
El-Said uses the Constitution, the First Amendment,
as a shield to hide his religion behind.
The Constitution was actually written by Christian men
as a sort of fulfillment of Christian principles.
The Christian men wrote the Constitution in a way that is compatible with Christian principles.
That's why John Adams said our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people,
holding inadequate to the government of any other.
George Washington's farewell address,
he said of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity,
religion and morality are the indispensable supports.
Benjamin Rush, 1791, he said the only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be laid in religion.
Without this, there can be no virtue. Without virtue, there can be no liberty.
Now you say, well, hold on, Sider. You just gave me three quotes that used the word religion, not Christianity.
Do you think they were talking about Islam?
You think those three quotes?
You think when John Adams was talking about immoral religious people, you think he was talking about Buddhism, Hinduism, all the generic religions out there, all the false religions, I should say.
No, he's talking about Christianity, obviously.
Our founding fathers never considered Islam when they were talking about religion.
John Adams in 1813 said the general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity.
But right there.
1813 couldn't be more explicit.
All right, fine, Slater.
So what principles do you think they did build the nation on?
Well, John Adams says Christianity, right there.
He said, I will avow that.
I then believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.
There it is.
So that's my proof that what they built, right?
So he just said the foundation of this nation is built on the principles of Christianity.
And then the framing of the nation, if you will, like above the foundation, the framing are all.
Christian in nature as well.
He said the Christian religion is above all the religion that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity, and humanity.
Now, you will find some quotes from early Americans talking about Mohammedins.
That's what they called Muslims.
But it's like five guys.
and like that I'm meaning like they would be talking about like a couple
guy a couple Muslim guys in town they're not they're not talking about
entire towns of Muslims in Virginia who like you
like anyone I think um what was his name I forget his name was a Virginia guy
not Patrick Lee I forget there's some guy in Virginia who was talking about
Muslims and he did talk about Hindus too and how they should be applied to the
first men who's but if you should be applied to the first men who's
But if you showed this guy, you showed this founding father.
Okay, so let's say one day in Virginia, there was like a deerborn, but in Virginia where the entire council's Muslim and the hall, he'd be like, whoa, why?
That's not talking about.
I'm talking about like if a Muslim guy comes to town.
Right.
Oh, but what if these Muslims want to bring a Sharia law?
I'm pretty sure our founding fathers would be like, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's not what we were talking about.
But the invading Muslims know that they can use our First Amendment freedom of religion rights against us.
when they come here, and they can build up power and ultimately control.
Muslim leaders, Muslim leaders have said this out loud.
This is an older episode of some podcast, but these are the guys behind this thing,
Epic City.
There was this Muslim only development that they wanted and maybe are still trying to build
in Texas, although there's been an effort to stop it.
This is, here they are talking about their efforts, and they talk about hiding behind the
First Amendment or using our First Amendment against us.
The names of the streets, Khalid bin Ziyadh,
all the great conquerors.
Like, people need to Google those conquerors and know, like, what are we made of?
Yeah.
It's Islamophobes.
Google, Tarq bin Ziyadh, you know?
And then we want to have different sections, like Andalusia, this, that, like all
our past glories and we want to bring it back.
The way, what we're doing, brother, like, you cannot make it exclusive, like non-Muslims
is not allowed, before not allowed.
What we're doing, there's something called association fee.
I don't know what it's called in Dubai.
Like your maintenance fee that you pay your leave,
cutting the service fee, to cut the grass,
to remove the snow and whatnot.
So that service fee will put there,
75% of the service fee you're paying goes to the maschid.
So they will automatically you not want to come.
Automatically, if you are a practicing Christian,
I would advise you, why help the Muslims, you know?
That's crazy.
They're their own thing, right?
So this is the way we're going to put their clause.
And our attorney already put it there.
the name that he gave of one of the streets they want to call was the Muslim commander
who led the takeover of what today is Spain and Portugal in 7-11 AD.
And they go on and they talk about, like they can't touch us.
They say these Americans, these dumb Americans, they can't touch us because we can use the
First Amendment, using our own freedoms against us.
So it's broken here.
Freedom of religion, when our founders wrote it, it wasn't about Satanism.
You'll see Satanists every Christmas put up some Satan display at some town, city hall, or state
capital under the guise of freedom of religion.
We don't have to allow that.
We don't.
Don't feel like, oh, well, you can swood.
You don't have to do that.
And I feel the same about Islam.
We don't have to allow Islam to take over America in the name of freedom of religion.
Now, one more point I forgot to make.
Why, why is that guy specifically asking?
El Saeed.
Let me say this.
Why was that guy asking Al Saeed specifically to denounce the Muslim Brotherhood and not any other terrorist organization?
Well, how about his half-sister?
His half-sister is a professor at the University of Chicago.
These are some of her tweets from not long ago.
She wrote, had an amazing talk with my mom about her activism in the Muslim Brotherhood during the early 70s when she was in college.
Hashtag respect.
This is her half-sister.
His half-sister.
Talk about mom.
She said, my family has long been Muslim Brotherhood, but I've always felt that it has navigated the political sphere poorly and destructively.
She said, I don't support the Muslim Brotherhood, but I have had family jailed for being a part of it.
They feel extremely betrayed right now.
She said, praying for all my family that supports the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
Lie low, stay safe.
Like, what?
So, yeah, Abdul.
What about your mom?
What's going on?
It's like, ah, it's racist for you suggesting that I would support the Muslim Brotherhood.
No, it's not.
I was in an Uber yesterday.
It's a Middle Eastern guy.
I didn't assume he supports the Muslim Brotherhood, although there was a city journal survey among Muslims in America and 66% of the Muslims that they pulled said they support the Muslim Brotherhood.
So odds are my Uber driver did.
But we brought up the Muslim Brother because your half sister.
talked about your mom and how she was a member.
Therefore, fair question.
Should I share this Charles de Gaulle quote?
Maybe I should.
On the radio show, we're going to talk about France and Algeria in that history there a little bit.
But here was Charles de Gaulle, leader of France at the time, talking about Nigeria.
He said it's a very good thing that there are yellow French people, black French people, and brown French people.
It's a sign that France is open to all races and that it has a universal vocation.
but on condition that they stay a minority.
If not, France wouldn't be France anymore.
After all, we're a European people,
but from white race, Greek and Latin culture and Christian religion.
Try to mix oil and vinegar together.
Shake the bottle.
After a while, they get separated again.
The Arabs are the Arabs, the French or the French?
Do you believe that the French nation is able to integrate 10 million Muslims
who shall be 20 million tomorrow and 40 million the day after?
If we integrate to them, if all the Arabs and Berbers were considered French,
how could we prevent them from moving to our home country?
where the standard of living is so much higher.
My village couldn't be named
Columby of the two churches anymore,
but Columby of the two mosques.
Now, there are no Bible verses against Islam.
Islam was created around the year 6-11.
But we got a couple principles here that we can talk about.
First, Galatians, right out of the gate in Galatians.
Verse 6.
Paul says, I'm astonished that you are so quickly deserting him
who called you in the grace of Christ.
and are turning to a different gospel.
Not that there is another one,
but there are some who trouble you
and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
But even if we are an angel from heaven
should preach to you a gospel contrary
to the one we preach to you,
let him be a cursed.
As we have said before,
so now I say again,
if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary
to the one you received, let him be a cursed.
Paul says, he's like,
I can't believe that you're turning away.
He's not amazed that you're turning away.
What's wrong with you, people?
And he said the people who lead others,
astray should be cursed twice over.
So it's not very loving of him.
No, it's not, nor should it be.
Because people are spreading a false gospel.
Paul's love is rightfully applied to the people who are in danger of going to hell.
There's people who may listen to that false gospel and go to hell.
He loves those people.
He doesn't want those people to listen to us to the people who are deceiving them.
Paul says they should be cursed.
We want people to be saved, not people to get lost or more lost.
Islam denies the father and son, 1 John 2.22.
Says, who is the liar, but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?
This is the Antichrist.
He who denies the father and the son.
No one who denies the son as the father.
Whoever confesses the son has the father also.
Give that to some Muslims.
They have a real tough time with that.
And we start to realize that Christianity and Islam have nothing in common.
Oh, we love Jesus too.
No, you don't.
Too many Christians far too long have been too kind in the name of, I don't know, compassion or something.
Maybe naive.
The Bible calls for us to be discerning.
First Kings 3.9.
Give your servant, therefore, an understanding, an understanding mind to govern your people that I may discern between good and evil.
For who is able to govern this?
Your great people.
we need more discernment in this country.
One way to do that is to look at other countries around the world.
Let's look at the fruit of countries that have followed Christian principles
and have put God above their nation and above their laws, above their constitutions,
and look at the countries that have put the Quran above all else.
Which cultures are better.
Just look at the fruit.
Let's have discernment in the meantime.
and let's look at what's happening in France at the moment
and realize the same thing,
absolutely, what happened here.
