I'm Mike Baker, your eyes and ears on the world stage. Today, as we gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, I wanted to just take a minute of your time to reflect.

And as many of us gather with family and friends, with grateful hearts, let's also remember those who are far from home, those who are working to keep us safe, and those who are no longer with us. Their spirit and sacrifice are part of the fabric of this day of thanks. The U.S. was built on their sacrifice. Today is a day to be grateful for the moments that brought us joy and the resilience that carried us through tough times. But it's also a day to acknowledge that each of us holds the power to make a difference in a world that, well, that can often feel tumultuous and uncertain.

In these turbulent times, the smallest acts can ripple out in the world. ways that we can't even imagine. And it starts within our communities, our places of worship, reaching out to a neighbor in need, volunteering at a local shelter, or simply sharing a meal. On a broader scale, we can educate ourselves on global issues, something I hope I'm helping you with here at the PDB, to be as informed as possible about what's happening in our world and how it's impacting ourselves and others. Let's also remember the strength found in unity and the impact of compassion, whether it's a smile to a stranger or lending an ear or helping those in crisis, every positive action contributes to bettering our world. Look, if the events of this year

have taught us anything, it's that our well-being is interconnected, and our shared humanity is the bedrock up progress.
