And so, ladies and gentlemen, I am your spy, and this is your brief. Here's what we're going to be talking about. about this morning. First up, mask mandates. A judge has ruled them unlawful on public transport, but there's a scandal buried in this decision. We're going to talk about that. Second, terror at the

border. Amongst the record illegal crossers, likely terrorists, a frightening new update on that this morning. Finally, a Democrat senator says U.S. troops may be needed in Ukraine. I warned about this happening. And this morning, I'm going to share a very personal story about why this matters. And as always, I'm keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put this one on your radar, student loan forgiveness. The Biden administration says it's on the table. I'll explain why it shouldn't be and why President John F. Kennedy would probably agree with me. All up next on the President's Daily Brief. Your first piece of intel this morning, a U.S. District Court tossed out the Biden administration's mask mandates for public transportation. It had been set to expire multiple times, but Joe Biden's CDC

kept extending it. That is, until a judge yesterday put an end to those extensions, saying that the mandate violated the Administrative Procedure Act by being outside the scope of the CDC's authority. The judge went on to find other flaws, but the violation of the scope was the crux of the argument. The Biden administration was not happy about this decision. The press secretary said just after the ruling that it was obviously a disappointing decision, that's a quote, and the Department of Justice would be reviewing it for possible appeal. Meanwhile, folks on the left were trashing the judge involved because she was appointed by Donald Trump,

and they said she was only 35, that's far too young, to be deciding something of such importance. It's a curious position, though. After all, Nancy Pelosi has argued that kids, as young as 16, should have the right to vote in our elections. She said that in 2019, by the way. There's another angle to this story, and it's very important for us to discuss.

It's a scandal, actually. It's one that deserves answers. So let's start with this. Do you remember the poll that came out about a year ago that asked Americans what percent of people end up hospitalized after getting COVID? The correct answer is 1 to 5 percent. But most people responded that the percentage was actually 30 to 50 percent or even higher. Democrats believed those outlandish numbers more so than Republicans, but not by a lot. In other words, there was bipartisan confusion. Let me say that differently. We are living through

America's greatest public health intelligence failure. The American people vastly overstated the threat of COVID, and that failure has resulted in panic. Or as we're seeing this morning, a religious-like obsession by some people over a piece of cloth as though it is a religious garment. The scandal then is why did this intelligence failure happen in the first place. Part of the answer is our media. A study from the National Bureau of Economic Research found that 91% of stories by major U.S. media outlets were negative in tone when discussing COVID, even when scientific data showed progress or hope. But the blame doesn't end with our media, because Tony Fauci and the CDC could have stood up and shut down that panic.

They could have corrected this wild misunderstanding about hospitalization risks. But they didn't. They let it ride. They also didn't talk about the patient profile of most COVID hospitalizations, because if they had, we would be talking about obesity. About 80% of hospitalized COVID patients were and are obese. Why did Fauci and the CDC not lead a national conversation and campaign, letting people know this painful and uncomfortable truth?

Why didn't we get people moving instead of locking us out of parks as they did? Why didn't we talk as a country about how to eat differently? To be honest about how our national diet is quite literally killing us. Obesity in this country is around 45%. Folks, that is a country-ending number. So again, I ask, why did Fauci and the CDC lead the United States through the greatest public health intel failure in the history of the Republic? That's a scandal, ladies and gentlemen, and that's what we have to get to the bottom of.

If I were advising the president, I would counsel that we should do a few different things. First, in my view, we've got to pursue a truth and reconciliation committee. If you're not familiar with this concept, I encourage you to do your own digging, but here's the upshot. These committees are nonpartisan investigations, an officially sanctioned body tasked with discovering and revealing past wrongdoings by a government. they're made up of people from multiple walks of life to include average folks like you and I who were harmed. And those people get to ask direct questions of people like Tony Fauci, in front of cameras, in front of the nation. That's how other countries have dealt with scandals of this magnitude.

South Africa is probably the most famous for doing this when they used it to get to the bottom of the brutal apartheid era to hold people to account for the violence and injustices of that time. And that leads to my advice to you this morning. Regarding masks, if you want to wear one, do it. If you don't, that's fine. It's your body, your risk, your choice. Talk to your doctor about whether masks work, which ones work, and the data that supports their conclusions. Don't be afraid to ask them hard questions.

They make mistakes. Second, do not forget that this mask mandate is a part of a much greater scandal. one that we have a chance to address next fall during the midterm elections if we all demand it from whomever gets our vote. Because, folks, we deserve the truth. You tell yourself, no one wants your college-era band teas, but on Deepop, people are searching for exactly what you've got. We have press reporting that there were at least 23 people who were caught at the border last year who were known or suspected terrorists. Details of who these people are, where they're from, and why exactly they're on the terror watch list remains classified. Multiple senators and representatives have demanded these details be released to the public, but so far Joe Biden has refused. What makes this all the more alarming, at least to me, is that these 23 terrorists are the only

ones that were caught. The Border Patrol estimates that there were 400,000 gotaways at the border last year. Obviously, these are people who evaded capture. And sources say that there have been another 300,000 known getaways in the last six months. That's 700,000 people total. Let's think about the magnitude of this story in a different way. On September 11th of 2001, this country was attacked by terrorists. It led to the deaths of almost 3,000 people, 6,000 injured, and tens of thousands of kids growing up without their moms and dads.

There were 19 hijackers that September day, 19. We just stopped 23 by the skisks. skin of our teeth. And those 23 are just the ones that we know about, the ones that we caught. There are 700,000 more people that got through over the past 18 months, unknown, unvetted, and living in a community near you. Now, all too often, this conversation about the border is put in terms of Republicans versus Democrats. And candidly, the facts merit that assertion. Democrats are the ones who are calling for open borders and abolishing eyes. But really, it's not a political issue. It's about this country's survival.

Because while we may be 20 years out from the memory of that horrible September day, for terrorists, it's like yesterday. It's fresh. And they're eager to do it again. I can tell you from my personal experience working at the CIA that this country remains at profound danger by radical Islamic terrorists despite the passage of time. The threat has lessened. That is absolutely true and praise God for it. But the threat has not disappeared. Because all it takes is one, one person to do this country harm. And we just let in 700,000 getaways. I think it's fairly clear why you should care about this story. No matter your party, we must have a strong southern border. We must get to decide who comes in. But clearly, with 700,

thousand people who have disappeared into this country, with another 2,000 people on average coming every day illegally, we don't have a border, strong or otherwise. So now it's up to you to make some noise about this issue if you agree. So wherever you are in this country this morning, you can get on your phone or email right now, and you can raise some cane with your federal representative. If you do, be respectful, but be firm. Demand a real Southern border. And this November, if anybody asks you for your vote, you tell them for a straight shooting answer about how they plan to address border security. And if they waffle, you make the stakes of this thing very plain. Ask them how they'll explain to a new generation of kids

from the next terror attack why we let it happen again. The final story today, Democrat Senator Chris Coons says U.S. troops may be needed in Ukraine. Senator Coons, who sits on the influential Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said Sunday that greater intervention may be required by our military because not doing so will only invite another level of escalation by Vladimir Putin. Not sure about that logic, but nevertheless, Coons went on to say that Putin has been allowed to just massacre civilians, echoing the comments of Joe Biden, who said that Putin had in fact engaged in genocide. There are two key takeaways I want you to consider this warning based on what you just heard. First, this is almost certainly what is called a trial balloon. That's when an idea or a

plan is presented tentatively to test the reactions of other people like you and I and ultimately see if their idea or plan can be executed. In international conflicts like the one in Ukraine, it's raised by fancy people like Mr. Coons who want us deeply involved in this war, but they know that you and I do not. To the point, polling shows 72% of Americans want us to have zero role in Ukraine or a minor one. Senator Coons is aware of this. But what's more interesting about this opposition to our involvement is the class breakdown of those numbers. Let me explain. About a month ago, there was another poll that showed that only 37% of Americans who make less than $30,000 a year, in other words, poor folks, said we should get involved if a war breaks out between major European powers and Russia.

In other words, poor folks don't want to go to war. But in that same survey, if you were a rich person, if you made more than $100,000, will your support for troops actually skyrockets? Upwards of 66% of the richest Americans would support sending troops in a European war. Now, you all are smart, and you can probably guess why there's a difference here. If you look at America's armed services, they are made up disproportionately of young men and women who come from low or lower middle class families. In other words, the rich people are more than happy to send the poor people to war to their deaths, because as Senator Coons likes to say, we must defend democracy. This gets to the heart of what I offered to you all yesterday, and it's the second key takeaway from this brief.

When you hear America's elite talk about sacrifice, who really really? sacrifices. And what kind of sacrifice are we talking about exactly? Because it won't be Joe Biden or his family who sacrifices. It won't be Kamala Harris or Pelosi or Schumer or any senior Republican for that matter. It'll be you and your family. It'll be friends like mine who have come home from war with metal legs and metal arms. And you'll have conversations like I did about a month ago on the back porch of my home, sitting with a buddy who has spent many years in Afghanistan killing people at the request of his government. And now, ladies and gentlemen, his mind is tortured. He deals with PTSD every day, and he deals with the effects of concussions from all kinds of blasts. And when he and I sat on my

porch, he cried his eyes out. For the first time, he cried in front of me. And then he talked about putting a bullet in his head. Now, I would bet my life that Joe Biden and Chris Coons and every other son of a bitch in Washington, D.C. right now encouraging or profiting from war, they ain't going to be sitting on a porch like you and I trying to convince a soldier not to kill himself. And that's what's at stake in this moment. And it's why you should care about the trial balloon of Mr. Chris Coons. Ladies and gentlemen, we are tumbling. towards war, eight months after we just ended and lost another one in Afghanistan. The Pentagon this very morning is talking about new permanent bases throughout Europe.

We've talked about that on this show. Joe Biden is sending advanced weaponry and billions of dollars of it to Ukrainian fighters. He's also sending tactical and operational intelligence, which means our spies and satellites are now drawing an X on the forehead of Russian soldiers and effectively pulling the trigger. we've talked about the risk of doing so on this program as well. And it's why Moscow sent a letter to Joe Biden just days ago saying our efforts in Ukraine risk, quote, unintended consequences. My counsel to you this morning is this. Be prayerful and be reflective of this moment.

When your righteous anger rises, when you see images of destroyed Ukrainian buildings, when you see images of destroyed Ukrainian buildings, when you see images of murdered women and children, I want you to think about my porch. Two men, having served years of their lives in defense of this country, with one of them looking at the other with tears in his eyes and talking about killing himself because he can't stand the torture of living through a never-ending war that goes on in his mind to this day.

And as you imagine that porch, I want you to imagine that one of those men is your, your son, your nephew, your neighbor. Because if we let Chris Coons have his way, it will be. Ladies and gentlemen, there are other stories that I'm following for future developments, things that I would have otherwise liked for you to put on your radar. The one I had intended on sharing with you is about student loan forgiveness. The Biden administration says it's on the table, and I think that's a bad idea. I had intended to share with you why President John F. Kennedy would have probably agreed with me, actually.

I'm going to let that story sit, because today was a tough brief. And I think we all need a breath. I sure do. That then concludes your morning brief.
