Starting point is 00:01:13 Roger. The morning after the Boston Celtics take game three. And there were displays of dominance from the Celtics. I wouldn't call it a dominant performance. But it was a very, very impressive win considering the circumstances. The Celtics win lead most of the game. was stand Golden State's third quarter run and shut them down for the rest of the...
Starting point is 00:01:45 It was very impressive for a team that I always see that are perpetual bag fumblers during this postseason. They played really well in game three. I was really happy with what I saw from the Celtics. What do you think? Yeah, I think if you're a Celtics fan or you just want to see a good series,
Starting point is 00:02:04 that's exactly what needed to happen. first of all we talked on the last episode about one of those two Jalen Brown that being or Jason Tatum coming out and going to work early right like setting a tone and getting Boston off to that good start where the crowd could be involved the energy starts to fuel your run and they did that Jalen Brown came out and he was taking no prisoners in the first in the first quarter energy man just great just great I'm here for the shits type of energy and so it got Boston off to a to a great start. Generally
Starting point is 00:02:38 speaking, Logan, I thought this would play itself out like that. If they were going to allow this to be kind of a physical, gritty series, it was just going to take Boston realizing that that's what it was. Across the board, man for man,
Starting point is 00:02:54 if you lined up Celtics versus Golden State and said, who would you take in, not in skill, not in skill, right? But in size, athletic ability, physicality. Boston's winning most of those
Starting point is 00:03:10 matchups. Yeah. So if that's going to be the tenor of the series, then I think Boston's in a really good place. Definitely. It's funny because this is the first time the Warriors, and just
Starting point is 00:03:23 rolled me on this one, Roz. This is the first time the Warriors actually played like the smaller team in the series. If you look at throughout their postseason run, they out rebounded Memphis who was a bigger team on paper. I believe they out rebounded to Mavericks. But this was the first time where you kind of see,
Starting point is 00:03:43 oh, they don't really have like a front court like that. Oh, they are pretty small. Oh, they're not as athletic as we thought they were. Boston is really taking control of this series. And honestly, the biggest thing that I saw was they were poised, but also they were the more, the others were the more aggressive team. they were the younger team.
Starting point is 00:04:08 At times, they made Golden State look like those old washdunes, man. Golden State did not look as, you know, everything that I thought the series is going to go. And it still could be a long series. We'll see. But everything that I thought the Warriors were going to be just outsmart them. And you kind of see it after that third quarter run that they could do things. But the response from Boston was very impressive.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Just the defense down the stretch. No, it was great. And I can say all of that about Boston and agree with what you're saying about, Boston being a more physical team. Golden State at times, looking smaller and unathletic. And I believe all of that to be true.
Starting point is 00:04:50 And then I'll also say that Golden State, and I sat there the whole game. I had my dad, my mom, my wife, and my kids sitting there. And after the first quarter, I said, if you're Golden State, you're probably not feeling terrible that it's only 11, right? And then going into the half, I said to my dad,
Starting point is 00:05:05 because it was like 15. And I said, all they need to do is get this down to nine. If they have it at nine at the half, you feel really good. And then they fumbled the bag, missed the three. And I think Boston hit a shot. So I wound up being, like, 12 or 12 maybe, right? So. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:20 And still, I was like, it's not crazy if you're Golden State. Like, you haven't played well, aside from staff. And you're sitting there at 12. Watch out in the third quarter. And then here they come. Yeah. Right. And so Golden State, you know, just look.
Starting point is 00:05:34 really good. Clay was making shots. Steph got in his bag. And then in the fourth quarter they just ran out of steam, Logan. Yeah. They were right there, and Steph has three bad turnovers in a row.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Oof. In a row. But that's fatigue. Like, that's not Steph Curry, not being a good player. Those are things that happen to your mind when you just, you know, you're just not as sharp with how important this possession is because you're a dog tired. And I think I see that in Golden State a lot. Like they, you're playing a bigger, more physical, more athletic team.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Steph is working for a lot of buckets. There's some that he doesn't have to work for. But on some of those, he's working. And so that starts to take its toll on your legs late in the third, early fourth. And so it'll be interesting to see what the answer is from Steph Curry and Steve Kerr. I imagine they'll come back with the really good game. I'll tell you this definitively, though. Golden State just can't have two offensive producers.
Starting point is 00:06:38 It can't happen. Like you're not going to be Boston like that. So any combination of Jordan Poole, Clay and Steph, and then you throw Draymond in the mix as a wild card, Andrew Wiggis, they have to get multiple people involved in that offense. They can't have any one or two of them lay an egg, and two of them laid an egg last night. I'd like to, I want to get to,
Starting point is 00:07:00 we're going to get to the people who laid an egg in a second, which you're talking about Steph and just how he played. He played a really good offensive game, played really good, had some stuff defensively as well. You know, it took a couple charges. But there were just some caught in that there were some, the turnovers you think you said and you brought up. But also that foul against Marcus Smart,
Starting point is 00:07:23 when you're already in foul trouble, what are you doing? What are you doing? There were some plays like that where from this team where, you know, they get down really early in games. And, you know, we've seen this against Memphis. We've even seen this against Dallas. We've seen this where they can just, you know, they can play a B to B minus game throughout the whole game
Starting point is 00:07:48 and let it and then down the stretch just win it. That's what they've shown throughout the postseason, the Warriors. But they're playing with fire against this Boston team. They have gotten down early too many times to get back. into it. And that means when you're down early, you start tracking risk, you start doing, you start doing, you start committing those files
Starting point is 00:08:08 that you don't really want to commit, you start pressing. The warriors need to get it together early on in the, in these games. But I want to talk about also a guy by the name of Clay Thompson, who got on really early,
Starting point is 00:08:27 started making shots. And then I, that is the game wore on. He started getting tired. I think you finished 7 to 17. I think that that goes back to your point of other guys needing to step up. Jordan Poole 4 of 8. You need more than that.
Starting point is 00:08:43 We need more than from Jordan Poole. Jermon Green 35 minutes. Let me tell you a stats, Roger. In 35 minutes, this is Jermon. Two points. Four boards, three assists. Foulout.
Starting point is 00:08:58 It's not good. They need. They need more from their other guys. It can't just be, oh, we're going to give Steph the whole offensive burden and a couple of guys are going to step up. It needs to be more. It's got to be more than that. I thought Andrew Wiggins was okay last night. But, you know, you're talking about a team that relied so heavily on Steph and Jordan
Starting point is 00:09:23 Poole and to some degree, Clay, when he came back. But you were really relying on Steph. and then Jordan pool off the bench. Those were your offensive guys, right? That was what got your engine and your motor running. And so what a team doesn't want to have to do in the midst of the playoff run is re-relearn how to play or where their point production is going to come from. So, like, that's a really hard thing to do on the fly,
Starting point is 00:09:50 especially in games of the magnitude of the finals games. And so you're expecting, again, as role guys, like you're expecting these guys, these guys to do what they do. And so if they're not, and Steph is, but if Jordan Poole can't figure it out from night to night and their inconsistencies and performances, then you're going to get, you know, you're going to get games like that where you're,
Starting point is 00:10:13 you look around and you're down 15 quick, because you're just not getting what you're expecting to get from someone. And then it becomes like, all right, either Steph has to pick it up and burn, you know, the wick on his candle, like, so early that he's got nothing left in the fourth, right? or so you're just playing with fire and that's what that's kind of what you know golden state is doing at this point and then the draymond situation look i know draymond's not a scoring um value type of player like that's not where his value lies all the time but i felt he was ineffective period and i know he's a you know a friend of the show and i sit here and say i love what he does but i think he might have got caught a little bit
Starting point is 00:10:53 up in what is the back and forth with, you know what I mean? Like he's got a lot of shit going on, it seems like. Yeah. And like maybe distract. We talked about distractions, bro. Like you're up at the media, you know, all the time, getting into it about different shit.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Like, you seem distracted. Yeah. I think with the Draymond thing, I don't know exactly where his attention level is. But the fact is, man, you're not, they he always Dremont always is always on the line between out of pocket and like in my back
Starting point is 00:11:32 sure all the time and he always says that he can get to that point this is the first time I've seen from Dremont to where it's like dude you come on it's it's really affecting the game right and usually when it affects his game when it affects you know
Starting point is 00:11:51 the team or whatever he has had the game to back it up. You can't be getting technicals and fouling out and only scoring like two points in 35 minutes. You know, you can't do that. Not only the two points, but the rest of that stat line wasn't really an effective stat line either. And it wasn't like you gave this virtual so defensive performance
Starting point is 00:12:13 that you would then be able to say, well, yeah, I didn't have any stats. But man, I guarded the hell out of Jalen Brent. Like nothing was there. And that's okay. Like that, you know, hey, you go back to the drawing board. We come back in game four and see if we can get it done. But it was a very bad performance for a part of that team that they look to, you know,
Starting point is 00:12:33 they look to for stability, you know, and backbone and character in the face of, you know, like challenges. And so when he's missing, it just puts in a weird spot. Again, I'll just say it like that. When you look over and you're like, oh, enjoy. Jordan Poole and got nothing for us tonight. And, oh, shit, neither does drain, man. You're like, oh, what are we going to do?
Starting point is 00:13:00 And it gets a little dicey. And I thought they did a great job despite all of that, climbing back and giving themselves a shot. You just, you didn't have, you know what they're missing? What's that? They're missing a fucking Jonathan Camingo. But maybe not right now. Like, I'm not saying he's ready for it.
Starting point is 00:13:18 I don't know. Steve Curran them know more than me. But that type of, because that's what Jalen Brown. and Jason Tatum are. Starting point is 00:15:43 Because the old heads are, some of them are looking washed right now. It's just what it is. I can't sit here and tell you that Jonathan Camingo is ready for this. I don't know. I will defer to Steve Kerr and company on that, right? They're there every day.
Starting point is 00:15:56 They're there every day. But I would say that what you're missing as a team is that type of piece, right? Like that type of length, athleticism, at youth to counter what Boston has in that department. And there's a lot of it. Like Robert Williams just looks like nothing that's sitting over there on a Golden State team right now. I love Kavanaugh-Luny. That man can't jump over a phone book. Like you can't.
Starting point is 00:16:22 And this kid's putting his chin on the rim when Al Horford's throwing him lobs. You know, Jason Tatum and Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown, there's nobody that stays in front of them. No. They don't. Now, they might miss at the rim or might choose to shoot a step back, but when both of those dudes make their mind up that they're getting to the rim, no one's staying in front of them from Golden State. It just seems like the Celtics are on the brink of something. Maybe Andrew Wiggins, my bad. Maybe Andrew Wiggins to a degree.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Yeah, it's not disrespect. Yes, my bad. But it does seem like the Celtics are on the verge of something right now, right? where, because there was two arguments going into the series. The argument that I had going into the series was the Celtics. Do they have, you know, they haven't been there before. Can they overcome that? And then there was the other, because, you know, my excuses were game five against the Milwaukee
Starting point is 00:17:14 bucks and nearly fumbling the bag in game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals today. Those were the two things that I saw like, eh, I don't know. But there's the other argument that says, nah, that built the Celtics, that just made them stronger. And I think that the final argument is bearing out a lot more right now. It seems like this team is coming of age. This Celtics team is really coming of age. Yeah, I think you would be right in the latter of your two statements seeming to be true right now, right? Because last night was one of those moments where you're going to see whether or not Boston has learned from the
Starting point is 00:17:53 mistakes, have they matured, you just got run down in your own building, third quarter, you're down one, what do we do now? Like, where are we at? And they buckled down defensively. Like, we can say that Steph was tired because I do believe he was, because those were some uncharacteristic turnovers. But you're tired because they're making you work and their level of defensive, you know, pressure and tenacity is high.
Starting point is 00:18:16 And so you give Boston credit for ratcheting it up when it called for it. And then on the flip side, taking care of the. ball, making sure they got quality shots, assaulting the rim. I mean, they doubled them up on points in the paint last night. Those dudes were hell bent on playing physical and being, you know, being the bigger, stronger team. And so they dictate it all night. So it seems that they've learned from that.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Game one was another example of why you could, where you could point your finger to Boston having grown, like down. Game one, NBA finals, going into the fourth. What do we do? and they just, you know, they worked it out. They did what they had to do to win the game. So I think they are growing before our eyes.
Starting point is 00:19:00 I still think deep down, first of all, I would say I think Boston wins a series. Like I've, I think Boston ultimately wins a series. Are you there now? Yeah, that's where I'm at. And I don't mean to be a prisoner of the moment,
Starting point is 00:19:12 but just having watched, man, Golden State to beat them, man, they're going to have to either be just this brilliant defensive team or they're going to have to have, to shoot it brilliantly. There's anything in the middle goes Boston's way. Anything in the middle goes Boston's way.
Starting point is 00:19:30 So, you know, I don't know that you do that four out of seven games. Like, just continue to spit out brilliant performances on the offensive and defensive end. But I would say, I think Golden State hangs in the series. I think they figure it out. That championship DNA, that type of stuff we're talking about, I think they figure out, you know, how to win game four, or at least have a real shot at winning game four. and then it becomes like do you have any energy left in the gas tank down the stretch? This is tough, man, because the warriors are in this place where at times you could talk yourself into anything with this team going forward.
Starting point is 00:20:06 Oh, they somehow they figured it out. They're going to win another title. They could go back on another run. We'll see what happens. And then when I watch them as the more I watch them in this series, it seems like there is, there are two factions. this team. One is the old heads who are super accomplished, you know, who have the championship DNA and, you know, who carried this team throughout this season. And then you have the other team, the other side of this team. And, you know, the younger guys who aren't quite ready,
Starting point is 00:20:42 there's just this gap. And maybe that they get, maybe next year, and I'm not saying, I'm not giving up on what the Warriors have this year, but maybe next year they can find, you. And maybe next year, they can find that because this team isn't whole. You know, I think everybody is, is, everybody is looking at this team as if it is, but they don't have Wiseman. Clay is coming off of two debilitating injuries. Ramon isn't who he is. There are a lot of questions here.
Starting point is 00:21:12 And the fact that they got, I think this shows the fact that they got to the final says a lot about this team, just in a lot of ways. but I just, I think I said this, what did I, when did I say? I said this during Milwaukee, I think it was the Milwaukee Boston series that I, oh no, it was a Milwaukee Boston series that were Milwaukee just didn't have the legs. It's looking like right now the warriors just don't have the legs for the series. Even when they do get in spurts, it's like, okay, we did just enough to get it to, to a couple of points.
Starting point is 00:21:46 At least on the road, it feels like that in this series. Well, I think it's fair that you look at it like that. I would also say there have been times in this series where, and I've made the argument for it last pod, that Golden State was running away from Boston, like up 15, drilled them in game one, drilled them in game two. So I want to be careful there. But last night, last night and the end of game one, were kind of the type of situations
Starting point is 00:22:26 that I worry about Golden State getting into with Boston and they support what you're saying. I mean, yes, with Boston. And they support what you're saying. When Boston can get in their groove and play the way they want to play, they just have more juice than Golden State does. They're deeper, they're bigger, they're more athletic.
Starting point is 00:22:49 I have this argument all the time, right? With people, I really do. And it's crazy. If you give me two things that are relatively equal skill-wise, give me the bigger, stronger, faster athlete. And it usually tends to be with people that are smaller than me. They're like, oh, no, you are bad, man. And it revolves around soccer.
Starting point is 00:23:07 And I'm like, no, you need, you're too big. I'm like, no, fuck that. I was like, if you gave me a six, six, like, 225 pound person that could run around with the dexterity and skill and speed of Lionel Messi, give me that. you know and so i look at boston kind of like that with golden state when they get them in that in that look when they went seeking destroy on step's ass last night yeah oh my god i felt awful i was sitting there with with family again saying jesus christ they got him in the blender they
Starting point is 00:23:38 just keep finding him and he had the foul so whatever degree of resistance he could put up i mean he just at that point couldn't for foul he found he was everywhere man they kept find they found his ass in the post. They found him on the switch. Like, hey, Steph, come here. You have Marcus Smart, dummy in him on the mid block. Like, it was, I felt bad.
Starting point is 00:24:00 How do you think, what do you think about Steph's health, man? Because obviously, there's a sprained foot. I mean, he's going to play game for it. I don't think that there's any thing in that. But he's hobbled and he's their only offense right now. He's the one that, he's the one that,
Starting point is 00:24:15 that stirs the drink right now. Yeah. That might be the blow. it might not even be anything else. That's probably the blow right there to strengthen your argument that boss is going to win. Yeah, I mean, very easily could be. I don't, I mean, if he's hobbled at all,
Starting point is 00:24:34 you know, hopefully that's one of those where he fell on it. You were scared because you've had that type of injury and fall before. And then, you know, you wake up this morning and it's not bad at all. And then by tomorrow, you're like, oh, this shit's fine. But if he is nursing it and if he's out there with a little bit of a gimp, yeah, Houston, we have a problem. You know, I don't know. Let me ask you because you watch this team.
Starting point is 00:24:59 If Jordan Poole, by most accounts, it was much better as a starter, right? Is there any world in which they can start both of them to just try to get him off to a better start? Stefan and Jordan Poole together. Like, do they have a lineup like that? Yeah, where they could start. I mean, I think it was called the Death Pool lineup. I don't know if it's, I don't know if it's, it's, it's, it's anything like any potent. But what they have done is they could start, take Looney out and start,
Starting point is 00:25:30 pool, Clay, Steph, Wiggins, and put Dremont at Center to start, start the game. And the only reason I'm saying it, I'm not saying it, your first lineup doesn't work, but I'm looking for any way as an insurance policy to, that's foot to get Jordan Poole in a good role, like in a good way. You know, he's had some spurts, like, but it's also, it's always been, there was a, there was an incredible move he made against Robert Williams. Oh, my gosh. I had no, I was done for. And then in the game, too, where he, you know, he gets on with 17, but they, but that was towards the end when they were blowing him out. That was, that was already, that was, the game was, was, was already in the
Starting point is 00:26:14 bag with pool is doing that. He's had an interesting series, but they need him to get going early. If he's going to be the one that they say they're going to pass the torch to, he's going to have to show it right now. That's something that he's going to have to do it. But you would start, Jordan? I'm not saying that I would. I'm saying that I would explore the option of doing it. I need to find a way to spark him. And I need to find a way because right now when I see him come off the bench. You know, you use the word timid, and I kind of, I bristled at it when you said it, and I explained what I thought I saw as being patient and trying to figure out how he could get in the flow,
Starting point is 00:26:55 and I ultimately did in game two. But then I watched again last night, and it was to a fault. So then I had to wonder, was it timidness, right? Like, is he not exactly sure of what his role would be? And as his coach, I would be. I would be trying to empower him and explain to him and have him feel very comfortable with his role not changing a drop from what it was in the regular season.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Go get those fucking buckets. Yeah. Go get them. And so don't be worrying about anybody else. Don't be tripping about being unselfish or you free yourself up to do what you've done for us all year. And so if that meant starting him to get him to understand, like you understand what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:27:37 I'm searching for a way to convince him that that's what we need from him. Yeah, it's funny because another thing about this team is never really been whole this season. Warriors, they've never been whole. You know, they, Jordan Bull is you're starting to the first three months of the season. And then Clay comes back in the lineup. And then he has to readjust to that. And then as soon as Clay gets back in the lineup, Jarmons hurt for some months, they finally get, they finally get hold. But it's hard to be whole during the playoffs, bro.
Starting point is 00:28:07 It's just hard to figure that out when, you know, Boston is a young team. And Boston's just, I'm so impressed by what I've seen from Boston, man. There's such a group. M.A. is killing it from a coaching standpoint. Smart has been playing within himself throughout, but they're a team. They're a team that have been playing for extended stretches of the season in a way that Golden State hasn't. but it's tough to kind of find that rhythm right here
Starting point is 00:28:38 and they're just going to need some fuck it I'll say just going to need some fuck it we're just going to have to just go do it I only doubt you want it's not that big of a deal what do you see from them going in a game two or game game four golden state yeah well I think that
Starting point is 00:28:59 both Jordan pool and they won't start him I'm sure so when he comes off that bench he's got to be ready to rock and I would run shit to try to get him going. I'd even put him in some seek and destroy situations with an ideal defender for us, you know, like, and just let him give him a couple looks
Starting point is 00:29:19 to try to get him rolling. If I'm Draymond, and I need Draymond, to get out of now the villain role and the antagonist role and get back to like the facilitator and the 10 to 12 point of game guy that we need, right? So I need him to be in attack mode. Real talk.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Not shooting threes, but I need him trying to put pressure on the rim and try to get downhill. And then obviously his passing and playmaking. But I want him to try to get involved offensively. We need to come out and take the fight to Boston in a way from in the first quarter that we haven't since game one. Right? Like it's been staff. Staff's been good. But I need the others to do that.
Starting point is 00:30:07 And then, you know, Clay's just got to be, Clay's got to be, you know what I like? I like they threw a wrinkle and we'll see how this bears itself out. Like, after Steph and Jordan Poole were getting sought out in the first half as much as they did on that switch pick and roll, they started like soft trapping that pick and roll with Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum. So Steph or Jordan would hold for a while, that primary defender would come back. If they could get the trap, they would. But if not, they would hold until it was a soft trap.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Primary defender would come back. And then they'd rotate behind it. And Steph or Jordan Poole would find the furthest guy away from the ball on the weak side and just run out at that. That one two, that might have some legs and some teeth. That one two is not. Boston's just hit in the middle of that. They're like, no, don't do that shit. That's cake.
Starting point is 00:31:01 So, you know, those wrinkles, it'll be interesting to see if they keep employing them. But offensively, we need to be an attack. where we got to hit them right in the mouth. Yeah. No. And what do you want to see from Boston? Because they're at this stage where the young team up to one, haven't been here before again,
Starting point is 00:31:20 and they have a real chance to take control of the series in a way where, you know, I feel like if they win Friday night, they win the series. It's a wrap. Yeah, I would tell Mike, if I'm Boston, atmosphere would be light. We'd go over some of the mistakes we made on pick and roll coverage ourselves. Like there were some. I read Emma's lips on a play.
Starting point is 00:31:45 He asked Robert Williams. Why would you back up? There were a few times they were loose on that, allowed Steph to come off shooting. So we got to tighten that up. But generally speaking, I keep the atmosphere loose. I'd have this feeling about us like we're playing with house money. Like let's go out there and let it ride.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Let's double down on what we did. stay in attack mode. Let's beat these boys up. They can't keep us off the glass. We had X amount of offensive rebounds. They're smaller than us. We're faster than them. We're more athletic.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Let's get these switches. Steph could be hurt. We're going to continue to seek his ass out and try to make him pay. All of these things that are all positive energy. Let's go out there and double down on us being bigger, stronger, faster. Now, I don't know that it plays itself out, but that would be my messaging for my Boston team, right? Like, let's go get this shit, man. We're at the crib.
Starting point is 00:32:36 We're up 2-1. You know, we got an injured, hobbled star. Let's ratchet it up just a little bit more. If they didn't think they could deal with our size and our strength last game, but they're going to be all kind of sideways when they see us double down on it in game four. Let's go get this shit. It's going to be a raucous environment, man.
Starting point is 00:32:54 The difference is funny because I see when I look at the games on both coast, it's funny because when I see Boston, and I haven't been to Boston, not in Boston right now, but it seems like them fans are on top of you, bro. And when they want to, it just seems like a different environment than Chase at every single way.
Starting point is 00:33:16 Boston just seems like the one they're on top of you. They are yelling. I don't know what they're yelling, but they yelling some wild shit. And it is a, that must mess with you as a basketball player as an opponent. It looks rowdy up in your eye. it's it is it's rowdy in a way that Philly's rowdy um trying to think of some of the
Starting point is 00:33:41 environments that are rowdy because to your point about like Chase Chase Chase gets rowdy it's a certain type of rowdy though like it's this is going to sound awful but I mean it as a compliment right I do I mean it in all complimentary ways right Chase has like this classy high high brow yeah yeah yeah yeah it's like it's like a it's like a it's like a a bougie like yeah energy right yeah philly and boston have like a grimy gutter energy i mean there's bouchiness in the building don't be twisted those seats are i don't know how many tens of thousands of dollars there's definitely some boston bougie yeah but the core right like the the boston fan is a hard notes it's another lunch pail type of
Starting point is 00:34:30 a, you know, hard hat. Don't get caught off the tea at a certain time of night in this area type of town, dog. And so that comes through in the arena, man. There's a lot of fuck around and find out in Boston. Same with what you see. Bro, Philly, Boston. I'm trying to think of some other cities. Chicago?
Starting point is 00:34:49 No, you don't feel that. I mean, Chicago is like that, but you don't feel that in their building like that. What about like Salt Lake? I feel like Salt Lake is there. No? The Salt Lake not there either? Salt Lake is a really tough building to play in for a lot of reasons. And the fans are great.
Starting point is 00:35:06 But it doesn't have that feel. It doesn't have that feel. I'm telling you, those are two places where the feel is just of like, damn, bro, anything might come flying out of their mouth. Like, God, dang, that's what you're talking about? Yeah. Yeah. You know, like where you would be like, damn, bro,
Starting point is 00:35:26 like you kiss your mom with that mouth. And I curse. A lot. Yeah, I mean, we know. We know. But there's an energy in Boston. It's pretty cool. Yeah, it's going to be an interesting environment.
Starting point is 00:35:38 It's, it's been fun. We're going to have Jomey on here at the end of the series. And, yo, man, if Boston wins, the propaganda, is going to be sick. It's going to be sick. It's going to be a lot. Jomey's been texting me, and it's, he's already heartbroken. He's, I don't think he's ever been a warrior fan this much in his life. and now he's seeing that
Starting point is 00:36:02 it's probably not going to, all that temporary investment is going nowhere. So that's where he's at. Well, Joe Me, I got bad news for you, brother. This one's not looking great, man. Yeah, not looking great. I do firmly believe that Golden State will figure out a way and hear what I'm saying to you, Logan.
Starting point is 00:36:23 To be in game four and have a chance to winning. If they win in four, can they win the series in, six, you think? And six? Or seven? Can they win it in seven? It keeps hope alive for winning in seven, for sure, for sure.
Starting point is 00:36:40 I also think, though, the deeper this one gets to your point, like when you're dealing with youth versus age, the deeper it gets, the more the pendulum swings in the favor of Boston in terms of physically, mentally, we might, can have the conversation or we can have the conversation about it being advantage, Golden State. But yeah, I think they'll have a chance to win game four. I think they'll be there. They'll have a real shot. But it's going to be dicey.
Starting point is 00:37:07 We'll see, man. Let's do predictions, Doc. You know what, man? I want to go with Boston. I think Boston's going to win game four. I'm wrong with Boston. Yeah. I mean, in my gut, I think you're correct, man.
Starting point is 00:37:23 I think Boston wins game four. I think Golden State is sitting there at the end. It's a nip-and-tuck game. Golden State's got every opportunity to win, and then Boston pulls away or finish. it but for the sake of argument I'm going to go with Golden State man it's counter everything I believe in it's counter everything I believe yeah yeah yeah I want to get your opinion though we talked briefly about jazz Quinn Snyder out is jazz coach yeah he's out
Starting point is 00:37:49 yep I don't what is that I don't know what the tea leaves I have no tea leaves in Salt Lake but the fact that he is gone you got down in Mitchell there you got Rudy Gobert there's a lot of questions in Utah. I don't know what you go from here. And also, this is the one where it was like, it's not like he was ousted. He was like, I can't take this anymore. I'm not doing this. I have to go. Like Danny Aange wanted him in the building.
Starting point is 00:38:14 It's a big blow for the, for the jazz man. Yeah, that's a tough, that's a tough one. You know, we talked about Quinn and all the success that they had had and kind of being, you know, a casualty of that because you've had all the success, but then you haven't won anything. And then that messaging kind of getting stale and stuff. like we've had this conversation. But it is interesting to me that he decided that he wanted to step away for a while.
Starting point is 00:38:41 You know, like that, that was interesting. I don't have a great feel for it. But if I'm Donovan Mitchell, I'm watching very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very closely. I mean, I'm. Donovan has to have have Car Blanchez and be able to pick his next coach, right? I mean, he has to have an input. I mean, damn, yeah, I know, dude, but I don't like, I don't love that. Input, yes, like, hey, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:39:06 But not carte blanche. I don't get into that. I don't know that dudes are equipped to shit. He ain't ever won nothing. How's he equipped to pick the damn head coach just trying to want to take him to the finals? And I don't mean any disrespect, but that's facts. Like, I would definitely want to bend his ear on some things, but I don't know that we want to give guys caribanche to do that.
Starting point is 00:39:26 But it's going to be interesting. And certainly, I feel for the Utah fans because I don't know exactly where they're going with it but you had something good like quinstein is a really really really good coach yeah i said he might be um mark stein front of the show also said that um you know he might be pop successor down in san antonia i might take a year off and be pops i like that successor that might be i mean that might be good too did you see um just going quickly around the league before we get out here did you see that uh darvin ham was um introduces lakers coach and it's seems like for the moment your guy Russ is going to be back.
Starting point is 00:40:06 He's going to be back next year. They priested a lot of sacrifice in that press conference, sir. I don't know if that's going to... I don't know if that's going to come to fruition. I don't know what that... Yeah, I don't know. Huge Darwin Ham fan. Huge fan.
Starting point is 00:40:20 Yeah, yeah. Just get it right around them three. Like, let's do that. You taking... You putting Russ off the bench? That remains to be seen. TBD. But let's get the recipe right around them.
Starting point is 00:40:32 in a way we didn't last year. Not just Russ, but for LeBron and AD. Like, let's get the others that recipe correct. I don't feel like it was correct last year. And then we can figure out what we look like. Okay. All right. Let's keep a look on it on that.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Let's get to a, let's get out of here. Let's get to a little segment we like to call, ruin of the week. I'm going to go first, Rajan. I recently went to go see a Top Gun. And all the feels, my guy. All of the feels. everything. Who cares that there was no really big storyline there? Who cares? Who cares that
Starting point is 00:41:10 Tom Cruise has absolutely no chemistry with his love interest in any movie? Who cares about that? I came to see the planes and I came to see, I came to see, I came to see the pilots do their thing. And it was, it had all the fields. It had everything I needed. So the real one of the week goes of Tom Cruise and Top Gun and everybody and the Top Gun of the Staff record label and the crew. That's where I'm going. I might go see it again, Roger. We might have to go see it again. So my ruin of the week is Top Gun and Tom Cruise.
Starting point is 00:41:42 I might go see that shit again too, Logan. Some great aerial, some just phenomenal aerial scenes. Did you know what was going on from a plot standpoint, though? Because I had no idea. Like, I think that they were, I don't know why there was an enemy. I don't know who was the enemy. But apparently somebody was going to shoot and it had to go. Now, I'm not going to spoil it.
Starting point is 00:41:59 But like, I don't know what was going on. I was okay. I was okay. Phenomenal movie, though. Maybe I'll take the kids to go see that shit today. I was looking for something to do. Did you see it alone? Where'd you see it?
Starting point is 00:42:11 I took my wife to go see. We took, we left the boys with the, we put the little one to sleep. And we told the older ones, hey, you gotta keep an eye on that shit, all right? But I have 15 now, so like, it's fine. Yeah. And she's five. But still, it was a roll of the dice. These are boys.
Starting point is 00:42:25 These aren't like, you know, they're turning around. Like, as soon as you stop talking to them, they lose focus. So it's a little dicey. We did it. It was worth it. It was worth it. Great movie. I would love to double down on that.
Starting point is 00:42:37 But I'm going to give... I think I just lost my assistant coach. Oh, that sucks. On air. Breaking news. American Heritage. High school. Damn it.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Breaking news. The Rivesbom on his own... On his own... On my own program. His own podcast. Ah, shit. Real one of the week. Keep up a live American Heritage.
Starting point is 00:42:57 We're with you, dog. Everybody, all my homies out there, just, you know, keep your head. It's going to be all. Right. Real one of the week for me is going to go to Jalen Brown. And I'm going to give it to him because, I mean, yeah, he was fantastic last night. But he just keeps trying to tell you that he is a dude.
Starting point is 00:43:23 And Jason Tatum is a dude. And there's only really room for one alpha. So I imagine that's Jason Tatum at the end of the day. with Jalen Brown in a real good supporting cast role, right? But it hasn't deterred him with the energy of like, yo, this is what I fucking do. If it's ever my turn, I'm ready for it. And he just keeps stepping up to the play.
Starting point is 00:43:46 And I like his game. And I like the way he attacks it. I like the way he, him, he ain't worried about Draymond. You know what I mean? Like he's not. And he even got to. Here's a thing. Nobody is like, that's why I like about this team.
Starting point is 00:43:59 When Draymond is doing this thing and they usually gets under people's skin, intimidating all. It's not intimidating these dudes. Well, it's not. But, like, even Grant Williams will, like, get into it with them a little bit. You know what I mean? Like, the only time Jalen has ever seemingly really had any words with him is after the man put his feet all on his face. Other than that, he's just staying in attack mode on it. And I really appreciate that. And I like his style. So that's my real one of the week. There we go, man. Pretty good real one. And you go see Top Gun today. You know, you got to feel better after your assistant coach his last. left you, bro. A little matinee.
Starting point is 00:44:34 You know what I mean? Let's get right out of here. Boy, hit me on the text, too, man. I can't do it. Isn't that something you do on the phone? Like, don't you call somebody and do that? I'm sure. Maybe you thought you was potting.
Starting point is 00:44:45 I don't know. That's what happens. All right, man. All right. Well, we'll see what happens, man. But we'll see you guys on Monday. But in the meantime, in between time, make sure you check out everything on our ring or slate.
Starting point is 00:44:58 That is mismatch. That is group chat. That is Weekends with Baws. That is the answer. And then, you know, make sure you also check out Follow the void. Kevin O'Connor. And then let's keep the propaganda going, man.
Starting point is 00:45:12 Let's go Black Girl's songbook with who, Roger Bell. Town legend, the homegirl, Miss Danielle Smith. And let's go, you know, R2C2 with who? Roger Bell. Vallejo Legend, the Creside clown, C.C. Sabathia. And we'll see you guys next week. Howell.
