This is 5-Minute Friday, episode number 340, and it is time to prepare, focus, and let go.
Welcome, everyone, to this special edition of the School of Greatness.
I am in an airport right now, so you're going to hear some noise behind me
because I'm on the way to Mexico City tonight,
and then tomorrow I'll be on the way to Buenos Aires, Argentina
to compete in the Pan American Championships with the USA National Handball Team.
And it is an exciting time right now.
I've got a big product coming out here in a couple of weeks.
I've got a free video series about how to build your online business and how to be an online entrepreneur and have the lifestyle of your dreams as well.
And I'm competing in my dream. I'm playing
for Team USA. I'm going to be wearing USA across my chest, playing against some of the top countries
in North and South America in the Pan American Championships. For me, so much great things are
happening in the next few weeks. And there are times I get from people messaging me saying,
you know what, sometimes I just feel so overwhelmed with everything that's going on in my life.
And here's the thing. I could feel that right now. And there definitely been moments, you know, I'm leaving right now, I'm leaving my team behind to, to be
working on this product and this launch, I'm going to be focusing on playing with the USA handball
team and, you know, getting dirty and getting after it every single day on the courts playing
and competing my heart out. And I could feel like there's a lot going on.
And I felt like that at moments. And then I've come back to this simple principle, prepare,
focus, and let go. And when you think about it and you take a deep breath in,
you think about the principle of prepare, focus, and let go. Then you can do more. You can create
more. You can become more when you live and embody that principle and let go. Then you can do more. You can create more. You can become more when you live
and embody that principle and that philosophy. What I mean by that is I've been doing the
preparation. For the last six months, my team and I have been diving deep into this course that we're
launching, into this product. And we've been doing the research. We've been doing tons of video
recordings. We've been doing the design, the technical side, all the things that need to be done. We've done the preparation. And now it's just time to bring
it out into the world and help as many people as possible build their life or their dreams around
being a successful online entrepreneur. So the preparation is there. And now my team gets to
focus. They get to focus and execute. And while I'm going to be in Argentina playing with the USA
handball team, I get to focus and execute there. It's hard to execute when you think about everything
you have going on at the same time. It's hard to say, I'm going to give my best right now, but I'm
so worried. I'm so distracted or I'm so overwhelmed and stressed at all the things that I have to do.
Yeah. You know what? You're not going to be able to execute well if you're overwhelmed and stressed at all the things that I have to do. Yeah, you know what? You're not going to be able to execute well if you're overwhelmed and stressed. So you get to focus on one thing at a time,
even if you have many things at a time going on. And the last thing is letting go. Wherever you
are at in your life right now, in your business, your career, relationships, you get to let go
of any anxiety or stress of the outcome. Listen, I've got big dreams.
I've got big goals.
I've got big numbers that I want to hit
in every area of my business and my life.
But if we fixate on it and have this expectation,
like we have to hit it,
otherwise I'm not going to be happy,
then we're going to be exhausted inside.
It's going to be extremely emotionally challenging
to be able to be present and focus
on the process instead of the prize. You know, we're so often caught up in the prize that we're
not able to be present in the moment and really just allow our true essence to come out in all
areas of our life. So you get to fully let go when it's time to focus and execute. So the first thing
is preparation. It's hard to launch something or execute something in your life at a high level
if you haven't done the work.
In handball, I've been training for six years,
and I've been prepared mentally.
I've been visualizing this,
physically getting back in shape and ready for it.
Even though they called me up a few weeks ago,
I wasn't essentially ready for it.
I didn't know it was going to happen until a few weeks ago, but it did. And I wanted to seize the opportunity. Luckily enough for me, I've
empowered my team. My team is focused. They're prepared. They're ready. And we're able to take
on everything at the same time. So you've got to first be prepared. Then you've got to be able to
say, okay, listen, I'm going to focus on one thing at a time and I'm going to execute this and give my best in this moment.
I'm going to be present.
I'm going to focus.
And the third thing is you've got to let go.
You've got to be unattached to the result.
You've got to say, all I can do is give my best in this moment and I'm going to do whatever
it takes to achieve my goal, but I'm not going to be attached to this result and stress
and overwhelm.
So I hope today you got some good wisdom out of this in Miami airport before we embark on a journey
for the next 10, 12 days.
We'll go to Mexico City tonight,
then to Argentina tomorrow.
And if anyone is in Buenos Aires,
please come see the Pan American Championship Games
and come say hello to me.
I'd love to say hi to you after a game.
We'll be there for eight to 10 days, I believe.
So please come say hi.
And if you
enjoyed this, if you've ever felt like you've been overwhelmed in your life, if you felt like this
resonated with you because you felt overwhelmed, you didn't know how to handle it all, then just
remember these three simple things. Prepare. Prepare yourself. Train yourself. Get ready.
Learn the skills. Learn the tools that you need to have to put into place to do whatever you want to
do at a great level then focus focus on executing it at the best of your abilities in that moment
and the third thing let go surrender to all the stress or overwhelm or uncertainty and let go
and realize that the only way you can perform at your best is if you let go and focus in the moment.
After you execute, you can evaluate and see where things are at and see how you can improve and get to the next level.
But you can't do that if you're in the messiness while you're executing.
So make sure to prepare, focus, and let go.
