5-Minute Friday, episode number 453, Mindful over Mindful.
Sharon Salzberg said, mindfulness isn't difficult.
We just need to remember to do it.
I posted a message on my Instagram account the other day that had two images.
An image of a man where his mind's thoughts was cluttered of all the different things he needs to do, worry, stress, distraction.
And another idea from this man with trees and the sun and nothing else.
One is full in the mind and the other is mindful.
We need to take a moment every day to be mindful and grateful for all the good in our lives.
And when we focus on the good, on the grace, on the joy, on the love, on the pureness,
we create more of that in our lives.
And when we put our energy on the bad, or the stress, or the frustration, or the chaos,
or the multitasking, we attract more of that in our lives.
or the multitasking, we attract more of that in our lives.
One is mind full, a full mind, and the other is mindful, a peaceful mind
that is intentional with every thought, decision, and action.
Carl Jung said,
Who looks outside dreams? who looks inside awakens. It's time we awaken
a peaceful mind, an intentional mind, one of gratitude, love, joy, and intention for our
thoughts and our actions. As opposed to waking up every morning, running around, getting on our
phones really quickly, responding and reacting to emails and calls and texts, and just going into
the day. Take a moment each morning to be mindful, to be intentional, to be grounded, to focus on
what you want to create in the day, what you want to put out in
the world today, the energy you want to be, the qualities you want to possess, and how you want
to show up. Not only how you want to show up when things are good, but how do you want to respond
when things aren't going your way? How are you going to respond in a powerful, peaceful, graceful, loving way?
Robin Sharma said, everything is created twice, first in the mind and then in reality. If our
mind is cluttered first, our life be cluttered second. If our mind is peaceful first, the chances are high that we will create peace in our life.
Everything is created twice, first in the mind and then in reality.
Take a moment to be intentional, grounded, and mindful.
And let go of the full mind of clutter, chaos, and frustration. Today is your day. Own the moment.
Don't let the moment own you. Create what you want to create by being mindful.
