Starting point is 00:00:00 This is 5-Minute Friday, episode number 486, How Dreamers Achieve. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Now, I was on a run the other day with a good friend of mine, and we were having a conversation on a run
Starting point is 00:00:22 talking about what is it that the most successful people in the world do and how do they do it and it came down to a simple thing dreaming and doing dream and do the greatest achievers in life have huge dreams and they make them happen by taking massive action now why do some people achieve their dreams and others live an average life? Paulo Coelho said, there is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve, the fear of failure. Yes, most people are afraid to fail. Why?
Starting point is 00:01:03 Because they are afraid of looking bad, of not being accepted or being judged and made fun of. Well, I've got a secret for you. People are going to criticize you no matter what you do. So you might as well go for your dreams anyways. You think the most successful athletes, celebrities, authors, presidents, and CEOs of companies have a 100% success rate of having zero critics?
Starting point is 00:01:28 Heck no. They are the most criticized people in the world, constantly talked about and judged and ridiculed. So many people have an opinion about why they aren't good enough, why they can do it better, what is wrong with them. However, on the flip side, they have just as many, if not more, people who love them, who appreciate them, and who do believe in them and will follow them anywhere. If you are trying to get everyone to love you, then stop trying because it's never going to happen. And it doesn't have to.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Now you can let your fear hold you back or you can use fear to move you forward. Every day you have a choice. Which one will you decide today? Will it be hard? Yes. Will there be hard? Yes. Will there be sacrifices? Yes. I slept on my sister's couch for over a year and a half, living off three credit cards while I was trying to get on my own two feet
Starting point is 00:02:33 and simply couldn't afford my own apartment. I wasn't smart. I didn't have a college degree, but I dreamed big and I took massive action every day to achieve my goals. Now you can live your dreams and make them a reality or you can only dream but allow your fears to hold you down. What do you want to do? When are you going to decide to step your life up and move towards your fears and towards the discomfort and towards the pain?
Starting point is 00:03:09 Because when you do that, you are one step closer to success and achieving the dreams you were born to live. What would life be like if you could achieve any dream? If you could dream of doing or having anything you wanted, what would it be like? Think about it. Feel the feeling. Allow your body to experience that experience. Now, what are the daily actions and the fears that you will need to move towards to overcome in order to make that feeling an everyday experience.
Starting point is 00:03:47 We only get one chance to live. We only get one mark to make. We only get one legacy to be remembered by. The question is, how will you be remembered? How will you be remembered? What is your dream and what are you going to do about it today?
