Most people never manifest what they want.
And it's not because they're not trying, but because they're doing it completely backwards.
They visualize for two minutes, they hoped for a miracle, and then wonder why their life still feels stuck, stressful, or just out of alignment.
But manifestation isn't about luck.
It's not magic.
It's a skill.
And when you finally learn how to do it correctly, you become addicted to it because it finally
starts working for you. And it does feel like magic when it starts to happen. And today I'm breaking
down the exact process that changed my life when I felt broke and broke and directionless. And if you
skip this video, you're going to miss the one shift that flips manifestation from something you wish
would happen to something you can create on command. My name is Lewis Howes and let's go ahead and dive in.
The first section is all about why most people fail at manifestation. You,
You can't manifest from confusion.
And this is a big thing you need to understand.
Most people try to manifest from stress, scarcity, or emotional chaos.
And then they blame the universe when nothing changes.
But manifestation doesn't respond to anxiety.
It responds to alignment.
It responds to identity.
It responds to who you're being, not just what you're wishing for.
And this is so big.
I wish I knew this sooner.
When my football career ended, I was at one of the lowest moments in my life. I was injured. I had a surgery. I was broke. I was broken. I was broken. I was sleeping on my sister's couch. And I was pretending I was going to be okay. But I wasn't. I wanted success. I wanted this thing in the future that I just didn't know how to hold on to. I wanted purpose. I wanted clarity, but I didn't have any of it. And the reason I was struggling for manifesting is because I was manifesting. I was manifesting.
from fear, the fear of failure, the fear of judgment, the fear of being stuck forever.
It was like, I felt like I was suffocating because I didn't know how to get out of this
scarce moment in my life. And when you manifest from fear, you simply attract more of that
fear. You attract more of what you're thinking about. You draw that closer to you. You see it
everywhere because you're thinking fearful thoughts. But when you manifest from scarcity, you
attract moral lack as well. Nothing changed in my life until I shifted from wanting something
to becoming someone. Now let me repeat this for you. Nothing changed in my life until I shifted
from wanting something that I didn't have to becoming someone. And this is where things start to get
interesting. That's when manifestation started working. And the first step that you need to focus on is
get crystal clear on what you want. This is everything. If you can't clarify it, you can't
create it. If you're just living in scarcity and fear and thinking about all the things that you
don't want, how are you going to create what you do want? If you can't clarify it, you can't create
it. Most people manifest vague wishes. I want more money. I want a better relationship. I want
feel fulfilled. But the universe doesn't respond to blurry signals. It responds to intention and it
responds to direction. Cause and effect, you know, waiting for your healing to feel gratitude,
waiting for your abundance to feel worthy or successful, you know, waiting for your relationship
to feel love, you know, the old model of reality of cause and effect. The new model of reality
is causing an effect. Causing an effect. Yeah, the moment you feel gratitude, your healing begins. Wow.
The moment you're empowered and you're worthy, you're stepping or generating abundance, you're stepping towards your success.
Now, the moment you're in love with yourself and love with life and you see beauty in all things, it's natural that you'll attract an equal.
So that's causing an effect, right?
And so all you need is a clear intention and an elevated emotion.
And when you combine that clear intention and elevated emotion, just like when a person is remembering the past and feeling the emotion,
If you start holding the intention and you feel the emotion, the stronger the emotion you feel,
the more you remember the vision and you can begin to remember your future.
I love this quote from Dr. Joseph Spence at where he says, all you need is a clear intention
and an elevated emotion. And when you combine that clear intention and elevated emotion,
just like when a person is remembering the past and the feeling of that emotion,
you start holding on that intention, you feel the emotion, the stronger the emotion.
you feel, the more you remember the vision and you can begin to remember your future.
When I first heard him say this, it like blew my mind. I was like, remember the future.
How do we remember something that hasn't happened yet? A lot of us remember the past and we think
about the clear memory of the past. And then we have this elevated emotion linked and tied
to that memory. And when he taught this to me, I was like, wow, it blew my mind.
they go, we could visualize a future, imagine a future, and create an elevate in the motion.
We send the signal out into the world and elevate our joy and excitement around that.
And then we fuse the memory of a future that hasn't happened yet.
That's how you bring it closer to you.

And it just blew my mind because it's something we as humans, for whatever reason, we hope.
hold on to the memories of the past stronger when they're painful than thinking about a beautiful
future that we can create from our imagination and drawing that closer to us. And that's where
we need is to start things. And when I first wrote down my vision for the School of Greatness,
what I've created here, this was over 13 years ago. It wasn't perfect. I wasn't sure exactly
like how to make this perfect thing. But it was clear. I was super clear that I wanted to serve people,
that I wanted to reach 100 million lives weekly, that I wanted to learn from the best,
that I wanted to share my wisdom of what I was learning from these experts, that I wanted to
improve and grow every single day. And by getting clear on that, man, year after year, it has grown
and impacted the world in ways that I couldn't even imagine. That clarity became a magnet. It allowed me
to book big guests. It allowed me to be in rooms that I thought I shouldn't be in. It allowed me to
create opportunities that just fell into my lap. And the more I showed up consistently, opportunities
started finding me. I didn't have to seat them. They started finding me. So I have a challenge
for you. I want you to write this statement right now. You can write this in your phone,
you can write it down in the journal, but write this down. In the next 12 months, I am becoming the
person who does this. And whatever that does this is for you, I want you to write you to
write that thing. I'm becoming the person who speaks on stages. I'm becoming the person who writes
books. I'm becoming the person who does a podcast. I'm becoming a person who is healthy. I'm
becoming the person who has beautiful relationships. I'm becoming the person, whatever it is for you,
write that down. Write that down because I want you to manifest from identity, not fantasy. And there's
a big difference in the two. So the end of step one is to get crystal clear.
on what you want. Now, step two is another big step in the process. We must feel the future
before it arrives. And we talked about this briefly with Dr. Joseph Spencer. But here's why this is
important. Your emotional state is your manifestation frequency. You don't manifest what you want.
You manifest what you feel. Oh my gosh. Think about this for a second.
think about how you think and feel on a daily basis.
What are your thoughts and what are your feelings like?
Are they scarce thinking?
Are they stressful thoughts?
Are they fearful thoughts?
Are you living in self-doubt, worry, anxiety, depression?
If so, that thinking where you're creating this energy in your thoughts, in your mind,
it transmutes in your body.
it connects to your heart it goes into all your cells and it connects to your body and you're linking
the thought into your physical cells into your body and then you're creating life based on that
feeling you're creating life based on the feelings that you manifest daily your emotional state
is your manifestation frequency you don't manifest what you want what you desire you manifest what you
feel. And this is why it's so important to shift how you think and how you feel, even when you
don't feel good. You have to believe you have it already. You've just got to. And so that you believe
you have it already, it manifests. Simple as that. If we don't believe that we can have something
already. Yeah, we have to have it. You've got to have it like your name, like you have your name. Like you have
your name. You've got to have it like they're your feet and your hands. Like no separation
between you and it. You know if you have something like your home or the clothes that you're
wearing, like there isn't a separation for you about those. They're one with you. That's
what it's got to be like. Like you already have it. Like I already have that house. I already
have that car. I already have that company. I already have that promotion. Yeah, I already have it.
I can feel it. I see it in my mind. And that's all you have to do. I think Bob Proctor would say,
see it in your mind and hold it in your hand. That's true. Right? I love what Ronda just shared here.
And the quote from Bob Proctor at the end, if you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your
hand. And the big lesson here is this is why gratitude and generosity are the gateway to abundance.
gratitude shifts your energetic state faster than anything else.
It literally shifts it.
When you think about something you're grateful for, it can be the tiniest thing.
I'm grateful for the sunshine.
I'm grateful for a friend texting me.
I'm grateful I woke up today.
I'm grateful I can see.
I'm grateful I have another experience of this life today.
I'm grateful I get a paycheck.
I'm great, whatever it is, I'm grateful I have food right now.
When you think about what you're grateful for,
it's really hard to be angry and grateful at the same time. So gratitude shifts you out of fear,
out of stress, and into alignment. And the more you repeat it every single moment or every single
hour throughout the day, you build the habit of being grateful. And when you build a habit of
being grateful, you shift your energetic frequency to allow you to attract more opportunities
faster. It opens your heart. It calms your mind. It activates the parts of your
your brain that notice opportunities instead of danger. And this is a big part of manifestation
and being aligned to things that bring you more of what you want. It activates the parts of
your brain that notice opportunity instead of danger. And if you're always looking out for danger,
you don't have a clear vision for your life. You don't have clarity. You're not in an open
energetic state. Your heart is closed. It's in fight or flight mode. It's in scare. It's in
scarcity mode. And there are moments that we need to be discerning. I'm not just saying be
lollygagging around all day long without worrying about what's happening around you. We have to be
discerning in relationships. We have to be, you know, courageous when we're taking on business
opportunities and make sure we're doing the right things and follow the steps and all these
different things. I get it. But in general, we need to be thinking about gratitude. We need to be
allowing ourselves to expand our, our heart to receive. Because if we're always closed off,
it's going to be very hard to receive what you want. And this gets you into the emotional state
where your future finally has somewhere to land. Now, let me say this again. This gets you into
the emotional state where your future finally has somewhere to land. Now, let me give some context here.
when I was starting with nothing, sleeping on my sister's couch, broke, no money, living off
credit cards, student loan debt, the economy was crashing in 2008 and 2009. At first, I didn't do
this. I was focused on all the problems I had in my life. Why am I broke? Why am I struggling with
these credit cards? Why do I have student loan debt? Why won't the government just forgiving
this student loan debt so I don't have to deal with it? Why did this happen to me? Why did I get
injured and break my wrist. Why is it taking longer? It's taking six months to get out of a cast.
Why is this happening to me? Why did this accident happen to my father where he got into a car
accident at the same time as well? Why, why, why, why, why, why, why all these bad things
happening to me? I was focused on scarcity. I was focused on lack. I was focused on upset, anger,
frustration, insecurity, self-doubt, blame. I was focused on everything else except for gratitude.
everything but gratitude I was focused on and what did I create all of that focus on everything that
I was not grateful for created more energy of things that I wasn't grateful for more of that
elevated feeling that we talked about in section one I would think about it I would ruminate on
it I would focus on it and then I would feel frustrated I would feel depressed I would feel the
weight of resentment of why is this happening to me why did these people
do this to me. Why did I struggle? Why, why, why? Instead, the moment everything started to shift
was when I said, you know what, I'm going to practice gratitude every morning. I'm just going to wake up
and say, you know what, I'm grateful to be alive. I'm going to find something to be grateful for.
I'm grateful for my sister who's giving me a place to sleep for free for a year and a half.
Man, it's a pretty good big sister. I'm grateful for my sister. I'm grateful for my sister giving me food
like coming in the forward food. I didn't, I didn't find gratitude in big things. I was just like,
how can I find gratitude in the littlest things throughout the day? When I started putting my
focus and attention on all of these little things, I was like the grinch. It was like my heart
just like started to get bigger. It's like it doubled. And I just got more joy. More gratitude brings
more joy, more love. And I started seeing things differently. And I started acting differently.
and I started engaging with people differently.
I started asking questions and being curious about others
instead of focusing on what was wrong with me
or what I was struggling with
and putting all this victim energy and victim frustration on myself,
I started looking outward.
I started service mindset.
I started asking questions, being curious.
And that is literally how my business grew
by building relationships, by asking,
questions by taking action on what I was learning. I was grateful for the couch that I
slept on, for the books that I could borrow, for the one person who believed in me, for the
mentors who showed up. And that gratitude lifted my state. It helped me think differently.
It helped me act differently, believe differently. And when your state changes, your results change
as well. And I have a challenge for you. I want you to take 60 seconds right now.
And I want you to feel your future now, not just think about it or just see it in your mind,
but I want you to actually feel it.
Your brain doesn't know the difference between imagination and memory.
So I want you to use that to your advantage.
And what this could look like as part of this exercise, if I'm seeing the future of something I want
to create, I want to write a book, I want to be a bestseller, I want to speak on stage in front
of 10,000 people and get paid a certain amount of money. I want to be in this beautiful
relationships. I want to have this health that I've never had. Then I want you to see it
and just start imagining for 60 seconds. Like, I want to be on a big stage to 10,000 people
where I get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars. Just imagine what you want. See it.
And then I want you to feel it and actually walk yourself through the future.
Like a memory of the past where you walk yourself in the past of pain,
I want you to walk yourself into the future of purpose and feel the emotion.
You're backstage.
You've got your mic in your hand or they're micing you up around your ear, around your mouth here with an little earpiece.
You've got your suit on.
You've got a certain outfit on.
You're getting excited.
You're doing your pre-speech warm up.
You're talking to people behind the scenes.
There's photographers.
There's a videographer.
They announce your name.
You walk out.
They open the curtain.
You go on stage.
The audience erupts.
Feel that excitement.
Feel that joy.
Put yourself in the future of your life that you want to become.
That identity of who you're becoming.
If you can do that every single day for 60 seconds and then act on the person you're
becoming to create the skill set, to create the relationships, to create the personal
brand, the awareness that.
attracts that your life will completely change. Use this challenge to your advantage.
Feel the future before it arrives. In this next section, I want to talk about the third step,
which is bold, imperfect action. That is step three. Take one bold imperfect action every single
day. Every single day, take one bold, imperfect action. The universe responds to movement. You
cannot sit still and expect a new life. You can't think your way out of fear. You have to move
through it. Check this out. So it's conscious thought multiplied by action equals manifestation,
which I then read later in ancient text. That's what you're sure it is. Wow. CT multiplied by A
equals M. Conscious thought multiplied by action equals manifestation. Wow. That's the
formula. And you can't get to that formula unless you go through that process. And these ancients
knew this a very long time ago. And because they knew this, that reaffirmed in me, I can really
create the reality that I want to be a part of. Yes, there will be things to come in blindside
you. Yes, it will be things that will sidetrack you. Yes, it will be hurdles to overcome.
But those things are all just problems that need to be, need to have to, you have to find solutions
to those problems. Instead of seeing those thing is negative or this thing is attacking me or this
is it. It's over for me. It's okay, we have a problem. Now, how can I be a part of the solution
to this problem? Wow. Conscious thought multiplied by action equals manifestation. That's the
formula. You can't just only think about what you want and have clarity on what you want and then
not act to go create the skill set, go create the momentum, go build the relationships.
You have got to have courage on a daily basis. And it takes bold action every single day.
It takes putting yourself out there and allowing yourself to be
rejected by people. People are going to say no to you and that's okay. It's you showing up consistently.
And the universe is going to reward you the more you show up. But if you can't deal with rejection or
you can't deal with embarrassment by other people judging you, then it's going to be hard for you
to create what you want because that's the entry price for creating and attracting all the things
in your life. You have to be willing to fail. You have to be willing to put yourself out there.
You have to be willing to be misunderstood by people.
And unfortunately, sometimes the people closest to you, your spouse, your partner, your parents,
your siblings, your friends, teachers, people may misunderstand your vision, but your vision
is not their life.
And you have to be willing to focus on what you want.
And their opinions of you are not your business.
So don't allow them to hold you back from going with what you want.
Now, a story for me to share with you right now is that the day my life changed.
It wasn't the day that I had a clear vision because I wrote down my vision for different things I wanted.
I would frame the vision.
I would put it on the wall.
I would actually put the date of when I wanted to accomplish these visions by.
And I would have those on my wall and I would look at them every day.
now that was part of the action step was getting clear on what I wanted but it's not just
going to happen if I don't take bold action the day my life changed was the day that I started
to take massive massive courageous bold imperfect action messy action I mean this is like
sloppy messy you know embarrassing action over and over again but when you take action
with courage and you put yourself out there and some people that they want to help they want to
feel useful they want to give they want whether it's advice or give you an opportunity and so many
people have given me opportunities throughout my seasons of life at different stages they've said yeah
I'll give you a shot yeah I'll take 10 minutes yeah I'll do the interview with you even though I was
small time. Whatever it was, people gave me opportunities because I shot my shot. I reached out to
mentors. I went to events. I showed up uncomfortable. I would go on Greyhound buses around the
country. I would stay in hostels. I would just find a way to meet people and put myself out there.
I would make uncomfortable calls. I would post cringe-worthy videos online. But I showed up before I felt
ready. If I didn't show up before I felt ready, I wouldn't have never have gotten anything.
because I still don't feel fully ready.
And that's the secret, is showing up before you feel ready.
When you do that, you become more ready over time.
An imperfect action creates momentum.
And momentum creates opportunities.
That's the game changer.
So I got a challenge for you.
I want you to ask yourself, what is one courageous step my future self would take today?
If you had all the courage in the world,
If you or you, five, ten years away with all the infinite wisdom that you're going to gain over the next five to ten years in your life, if you could step into the future and tap into this memory bank as an artifact that you create over the next five to ten years of memories and new skills and new wisdom.
And you said, what would my five to ten year future yourself do? What actions would they take? What calls would they make? How would they show up?
What skills would they learn to get me to my future self?
Ask yourself, what is that one courageous step that my future self would take today?
And you've got to do that every single day.
You can't just do it once.
You've got to do it consistently.
I want you to send the message to whoever you need to send it to right now.
I want you to apply for the job.
I want you to start the project, sign up for the program, have the conversation,
whatever it is that you need to do.
I want you to have that bold action right now.
now. Do it right now. Text the person, call the person, start the thing, write the email,
whatever it is, do it right now. Because bold action is the bridge between intention and
manifestation. And man, this is a game changer. Take one bold in perfect action today. Now this next
section is the blocks that sabotage manifestation. Now that you know the first three steps,
Here's the number one block that kills manifestation.
Are you ready for it?
Are you ready for it?
I don't know if you are.
But here's the number one block that kills manifestation.
You can't receive what you keep sabotaging.
Oh man, this is a good one.
You cannot receive what you keep sabotaging in your life.

the biggest blocks. You ready? This is big. I want you to write this down.
And I want you to reflect on, is this something that you've done?

Because for years, I kept people in my life who doubted my dreams or who held me back
emotionally.
And I just kept them.
I didn't create the boundaries I needed to create.
I didn't have the courageous conversations because I was so afraid of people liking me.
I didn't want to offend people.
I was an extreme people pleaser.
And, you know, it wasn't because these people were bad people.
It is because I didn't value myself and I left.
the courage to either let go of their approval or let go of them completely.
And proximity is power.
And the day I started surrounding myself with people who lifted me up, who challenged me
in an empowering way, and who supported my vision, my manifestations multiplied like crazy.
Proximity is power.
If you want to create anything in your life, it is about getting clear on the
that you have, clear, crystal clear. And if people around you are not in a supportive of that
vision, then in some ways, you're sabotaging yourself. Now, it doesn't mean you have to kick everyone
out of your life and your family and your friends. That's not what this is about. You know,
it's not that black and white. But it is about you being courageous and saying, hey, this is my
dream. This is my goal. This is the vision I have for my life. And I would love for you to be
on board with this just by empowering me. Don't, don't limit me. Don't say negative things. Don't try to hold
me back. But knowing that this is my vision, this is my dream, this is my goal for this season of life.
Can you at least support that? Can you at least be behind it and not say negative critical things?
That's my request. Can we create an agreement that we are in alignment on that? And whatever your
dreams are, I'm going to be in alignment with what you want me to be supporting you as well.
Because your environment is either fueling your future or it's anchoring your past.
So you need to choose wisely who is in your life and what is in your environment.
Now, here is why you become addicted to manifestation in one day.
Once you practice clarity, emotional alignment, and bold action, you feel different, you think different, you act different.
you become a different person and you start to see proof all around you it's like it's like the
matrix like things open up and you're just like a manifesting machine you see proof you see evidence
of how you can believe in yourself rather than doubt yourself you see doors opening people start
emailing you opportunities you just feel like oh life is happening in my favor like i'm just luckier
And you just feel luckier, you feel like things are just falling in your lap.
But it's because you've done these three things to get you there.
You've gotten clear on your vision.
You're really taking the actions in a different way.
And you're feeling the emotion of that future that you're looking to draw into you.
And again, you start to see proof.
You start to see micro winds, new connections, creative ideas, aligned opportunities.
And the more you see proof, the more your confidence grows.
It becomes addictive.
like you're becoming a new identity.
You're literally shedding the old skin of the old identity,
which is your thinking and your emotions around thoughts, around beliefs.
You're starting to shed those beliefs, shed that thinking,
shed those feelings that are familiar but are not supporting you.
Just because it's familiar doesn't mean it's good.
Just because you feel stress and anxiety doesn't mean it's helpful.
manifestation becomes addictive because you realize you are not powerless, you are not stuck.
You are not waiting for permission from anyone.
You realize it because you are the creator, you are the catalyst, you are the author of what comes next in your life.
And that is powerful, my friend.
That is freedom.
It doesn't mean you're going to get everything you want.
It doesn't mean it's always going to be easy.
It doesn't mean everything's going to be perfect.
It might be some messy seasons.
But, man, you have incredible power when you realize you are the author of what comes next.

And it's a better life when you feel better.
And step three is to take one bold, imperfect action today on the thing that you've been
ruminating on, fearful of, afraid up, thinking about, dreaming about for years, because I know
if you're watching this, I just have a sneaky feeling if you're watching this.
You've had something inside of you, not for a few weeks, but for a few years that you wanted
to take action on.
Am I right?
Maybe you've wanted to write a book.
You've had like this little dream, this little like crazy dream.
I want to write a book.
Maybe you've wanted to speak on stage.
Maybe you wanted to launch a side hustle.
Maybe you've wanted to, uh, ask the person out that you've always had a crush on.
Whatever it is, you have chills or goosebumps around something that excites you.
That's your future self screaming at you through the goosebumps saying, please take action today.
Please take that step because you're meant to become.
that thing. If you're feeling it and thinking about it and desiring it, you might just mean to
become it. But the longer you wait, the longer time, you hesitate, you sabotage, you delay,
the more resentment you're going to build up for not the world, but yourself. The more you're going
to not trust yourself because you've been afraid of taking bold, courageous actions over
and over again, or maybe you tried to take an action and you got humiliated or you got embarrassed
or you failed. But I'm telling you, failure is the key to success. You must fail. You must embrace
failure and say, I want to fail more because I know failure is feedback. It doesn't mean I'm a
failure. It just means there's information, skills, tools, knowledge that I need to learn so that I
can be successful. The more you take one bold and perfect action,
every single day in this 24-hour challenge. You do it over and over again every 24 hours,
the more you're going to learn. And it's going to be painful when you make a mistake. And you're
saying, oh, now I have wisdom on what not to do. I'm going to do something different. And I'm going to
keep doing that new thing over and over again until I get the results I want. Do this challenge
and watch how fast things shift in your life. Because manifestation isn't about obsessing over what
you want. It's about becoming the person who naturally attracts it. That's power. That's freedom. That's
calm. That's peaceful. And I want that for you. I want you to feel emotionally free. I want you to feel
light in the way you think. I want you to attract what you want. But it's going to take you taking these
three steps over and over again and expanding your mind,
with a level of thinking that is grateful for what you have.
Even if you have nothing, even if you feel like you've been beaten down emotionally,
physically, financially, relationally, whatever has gone in your life.
I remember the time on my sister's couch for a year and a half.
It was not fun.
It was a struggle.
I felt depressed.
I felt worried.
I had no clarity of how I was going to make any money or get off my sister's couch.
It suffocated me psychologically, and it was so hard to think about anything I was grateful
for, and it felt so much like I was just had to hit rock bottom every day over and over again
and feel this pain until one day I made a decision. I said, Lewis, no longer, I'm going to sit here
and suffering. I don't like this situation. I don't enjoy this. This is not the situation I want to
be in, but I need to find something I'm grateful for. And that was when everything started to shift.
once I started with gratitude, and I started appreciating what I had, appreciating the experiences,
even appreciating the pain, and saying, there must be a greater lesson.
Thank you for giving me this lesson.
I don't know what it is yet, but I'm grateful for this experience because one day it's going to make sense.
Appreciating the unknown.
When you start to live your life and gratitude and generosity, that becomes the gateway to
abundance. Again, when you start to live your life with gratitude and generosity, that is the
