Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an advertisement from BetterHelp. Everyone knows therapy is great for solving problems. But turns out, therapy has some issues of its own. Starting point is 00:00:27 That's BetterHelp.com. Sick of the cottage chaos? Beach? It's time for a reality check. An all-inclusive beach break with Sunwing Vacations can actually be cheaper than a staycation. Let's be real. Cottages sound good until you realize you're the cook, cleaner,
Starting point is 00:00:46 and kids entertainer. Say no to inferior, more expensive vacays and yes to kids clubs and all-you-can-everything. Book with your local travel agent or... Nah, my carrots, bro.
Starting point is 00:01:02 I just can't be crunching and munching while we're here. Bam! We are live. Roses are red. M's? No, my carrots, bro. I just can't be crunching and munching while we're here. Bam. We are live. Roses are red. Violets are blue. Savan, I'm excited to be on this podcast with you. I'm swooning.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Woo. Oh, James, you don't know how bad I needed you tonight. Oh, dude. I figured I'd come on here because Dallin, you know't know how bad I needed you tonight. Oh, dude. I figured I'd come on here because Dallin, you know, he killed it this morning. And he was opposite of his last podcast where he was kind of gloom and glim. And I figured today he was happy. So I'll do the opposite of what I usually do. And I'll be sad today.
Starting point is 00:01:39 He wasn't gloom and glim before. He just had a limited vocabulary of like 1,000 words. And now he knows like 3,000 words. He was words he was great this morning huh dude he freaking crushed it i was so proud of him he made all the others look silly the um the all the athletes are are coming well i'd say 90 of the athletes are coming on here and just just putting the love down on me i so appreciate making my job easy but i've been bragging all week i'm exhausted and i've been bragging all week oh god if i can just make it to the james sprague podcast that dude will carry this shit let's go i'll do whatever you need man you tell me what we need
Starting point is 00:02:14 oh look at that oh crap james i wasn't expecting this mr naples i needed all the help i could get thank you calling in the big guns and i absolutely did not want you to know that I was coming on. Bro, this is crazy. My dad's going to have a hoot about this. Oh, tell your dad I love him. Can't wait to meet him. Dude, you got it, bro. He just got two new Kias.
Starting point is 00:02:37 He's an ecstatic man. Two Kias? Yeah, one for my brother, one for him. Oh, I thought it was one to get stolen and one to keep for himself. You know, in Seattle, you're likely to get both stolen. Is that where he's at, Seattle? Yeah, bro. Yeah. Hey, dude, no shit, I'm not joking.
Starting point is 00:02:55 I'm pretty sure the city of Seattle is suing Kia and Toyota because their cars are too stealable. Oh, interesting. Talk about deferring the blame. That sounds like a Seattle thing. Extra slop. Wow, $4.99 behind the scenes. Bro, let's go.
Starting point is 00:03:18 So, Siobhan, the media blew up hearing you're coming back today. That made me really happy. Yeah, I just got to not screw it up i'm just gotta be cool i gotta act cool i mean all you really gotta do is just be you like you are every day and you're gonna make thousands of hearts happy i'm gonna be me but i'm gonna cut off a section of it okay i like it i'm gonna compartmentalize let's go part come yeah you know who reached out to me today uh you might not know who this is, but they offered me just a crazy amount of support for behind the scenes is Two Brain Business. Do you know who that is?
Starting point is 00:03:51 No. The guy's name is Chris Cooper. He owns the largest gym consulting business in the world. Okay. And he's got thousands of affiliates he represents. I think it was his idea or Workington. That's a good question. Yeah, these guys okay he's like this dude reached out to me the the founder and ceo of this and he's like hey i'll do whatever
Starting point is 00:04:11 whatever whatever support you need i'm so happy that crossfit's doing this authentic media again behind the scenes it's like the best stuff for the community and i was like hey this is the kind of thing james i know you see me you look like i look like an old man to you. But like when I get off the phone with him, like I call my mom and tell her. Oh, I like that. You know what I mean? It's like big time. Like, yo, mom. She's like, what?
Starting point is 00:04:33 I just got off the phone with my mom. Today's her birthday. Awesome. It's a great day, man. Mom's birthday is a great day. Fee Sagafi. Yes. Emma Carey. Yes. Danielle Brandon. Dallin Pepper. uh fee sagafi yes emma carrie danielle brandon dallin pepper
Starting point is 00:04:47 james sprague uh-huh uh i was i was i'm just freaking out on what is going on over there it's like the matt torres brute crew is just i'm just so excited for you guys. What's it like being over there? It must be just – you guys must be tickled. Dude, we are tickled every day. I try and tickle everyone in a different way every day too because that gym is what it is because we have a good time. You've heard this a million times. We all bring something a little different to the table,
Starting point is 00:05:19 and that's why it works so well is there's no really clashing and there's not too much so well is there's, there's no really clashing and there's no, there's not too much hyper competitiveness and we all want it for each other. So it's so great. And, um, I'm definitely like so grateful. I've been able to be with this crew. Cause I do not think I would be where I am today without any of those people. Uh, tell me, explain that.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Sorry. Go ahead, Brian. Go ahead. Go ahead. I won't forget. No, it's a, I can ask after this. Explain that. What do you mean? What, what, what the, what the turning a new leaf? What the frick? What the frick? You're a teen now, dude.
Starting point is 00:05:53 What the frick is Emma Carey or Daniel Brandon or Dallin Pepper or Fisa Goffey contributed to James Sprague? Oh man. Well, everyone in different ways, um, um has has helped me become a better competitor in person um and you know i think everyone brings something different like i said different to the table i could go into a lengthy explanation about each person what their skill attributes are and their strengths but like it's honestly just um you know some days you're in more of a mood um to have a certain vibe in that gym and um and other days you're in more of a mood to have a certain vibe in that gym. And other days you're in another mood to have more excitement. And everyone can bring a little bit of everything that you need.
Starting point is 00:06:33 So you can really just boost off the energy in there and the morale in there. Even though we all have different music tastes, that's the only thing we disagree on. Let me throw a hand grenade. Let me come hard at you. You ready for some? Yeah. Let me come hard at you. Ready?
Starting point is 00:06:51 I'm concerned that you are a giver i used to be too much of a giver and and danielle are um i don't want to say that they're not givers but you train with danielle and they're more they're more like in their own little zone and i'm concerned that james might be like given too much. Like we might not, if I'm your agent, I'm like, Danielle, how much energy did you give Mr. Sprague today? No. I mean, they're doing an audit on that shit. You'd actually be so surprised how everyone like is there to better each other.
Starting point is 00:07:18 And it's not like anyone wants to take away from another person. So I feel like Dallin really genuinely wants to help me on certain person. So, um, I feel like, um, Dallin really generally wants to help me on certain things. Like he told me, uh, he actually talked about that today too, on the podcast about help, about sharing scores with you and genuine to yes. Yes. And so it's not, it's not like we're trying to hide anything from each other, which is great. Um, and like, I feel like I'm never walking into that gym, like, Oh, this person doesn't want it for me. Like, we all want it for each other and cheer for each other and are happy for each other genuinely, which is so great.
Starting point is 00:07:52 You guys believe in each other. Yes. And there's no, like, you know, I honestly think everyone's so generous in their own way, too. Like, whether it's just giving things to each other or giving advice or rides to the airport like we're just there for each other i mean i'm the only one here really without family like emma has her parents fee has her her person uh down as his wife uh danielle has someone um dang dang isn't it cash it's cash cash oh cash okay yeah yeah yeah um anyway anyway um yeah i i felt like they've been my family is what i'm trying to say dude i am so stupid someone posted this picture of danielle brandon's hand
Starting point is 00:08:39 like i posted one too did you see mine of the two hands with the like touching it and someone goes oh shit it's a soft launch and i'm goes, oh shit, it's a soft launch. And I'm like, what does that mean? It's a soft launch. I made a soft launch too, bro. Oh, really? Let me see. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I so don't talk, know how to talk Twitter talks. Soft launch. Dude, me neither. I just figured this was funny. So I figured I'd mock it. But anyway, let me find my soft launch. Look at Caleb's trying to, Caleb doesn't even know what you're talking about. He's trying to find it before you.
Starting point is 00:09:04 I can see him in the back end my private story because i was like i should have done a main one though where is this dude i did i drew a picture of me down in daniel the other day hold on can you see that oh that was for matt's card that's us are you the tall one i'm the tall one yeah, skinny boy that's trying to get better at lifting weights. Dude, where is this picture? It's getting better. Is he getting better, Brian? Absolutely, yes.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Thank you. Hey, I mean, the weightlifting one, we'll have to show it this year. This, this, yeah, this. Someone's like, dude, soft launch, soft launch. I'm like, soft launch. Oh, it says it in there oh good yes let's go oh my goodness here's mine uh what's it uh i what's it say what's the writing say that says at coach dom d'agostino because I was at coffee with him that morning too. Oh, so you – and you wrote – did you write hard launch?
Starting point is 00:10:08 No. Oh, yeah, I did. I did. No shame. Good. No shame. Oh, so you guys are having fun. Oh, yeah, so much fun.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Pumped to watch you at the games and in the behind-the-scenes, James. Crush it. Also, hi, Brian. Missed you. Thank you very much. A pool boy, I'll ask for everyone. Is Danielle dating Matt? A dollar 99.
Starting point is 00:10:34 How much you need to put up, James? How much? Keep it going for my boy. Tank Reeves, James, just freaking crush flopper. Dude, people hate on flop so much bro oh i love jason he gets a lot of like the enemy of cross even though he isn't like people treat him like that just because they want to end me so bad they have to make him it well and i think i think you know he came out of the gates he was in the public a lot he was having conversations and now he's
Starting point is 00:11:00 just receded and he's been he's just very quiet and trains hard and shows up and competes. And I think people want to hear more from him. I agree. He's really fun. Doing Wadapalooza with him was super fun because I got to hang out with him a little bit while watching Dallin do Indy, and it was just like the way he just has a good time and doesn't stress is also really cool because he's definitely going to have a long, sustainable career with that. What are you – Mr. Sprag you um what do you want to showcase uh at the games this year like and i i'm stealing that from someone uh page powers told me that she's been
Starting point is 00:11:36 working on her running i think she said yeah three days a week i've been running i'm like i'm excited to showcase my running you got anything like that besides your body i mean you were turning into a man already but now you are a straight man dude you're you're the pat barber 2.0 you're like a full-size pat barber you're a manimal dude yeah there was a picture from a few weeks to a month ago it was it was you and down and danielle i think we went weight fest you maybe had just done a run around the naples or something like that and i felt like uh anyone i mean i lived in naples you know what the community's like i'm like anyone saw these three people running down the street like are they just ducking and covering no dude we i feel like we still don't even like dylan and danielle look like they do fitness i feel like i still
Starting point is 00:12:20 have some uh work to do to look like I'm a weightlifter. But I've gotten better. Dude, are you kidding me? You got like a six-pack and your body's just – you're a man. You're like Tom Cruise all juiced up. Not Tom Cruise. Tom Selleck all juiced up. You're like all Jack Tom Selleck. You're making me blush.
Starting point is 00:12:40 I appreciate that. That's so sweet. Savon, my girlfriend wanted to tell you that she has bigger biceps than you by the way oh danica if you're watching this there you go okay yeah look at this look at this is that good oh my god dude i'm concerned lay off the worst workout we did all of the whole summer right there. It was so bad. What do you want to showcase? What are maybe you were a little intimidated by last year,
Starting point is 00:13:15 but this year you're like, hey, dude, I'll smash you if you show your face? Yeah, man, that's a great question. I think this might sound cliche, but I want to showcase my heart and really just go out there and have a good time and soak in the experience, first off, because it's like a blessing to be there each year at the games. It's never promised. But if we're talking like raw general fitness, what I want to showcase, I want to showcase my ability to do things outdoors. I'm an athlete at heart. I've done every sport.
Starting point is 00:13:46 I'm adaptable to new things. And I think the games, if you can adapt to new things and things that aren't inside a gym, I think you can do pretty well. So things like running, swimming, biking are right up my alley. And I've never really gotten to showcase those things on a big stage, maybe things like Wadapalooza and whatever. But I think that this will be cool to actually get to do these things repeat after repeat after repeat on event on event. And, and of course, I think just been working on strength so much this year.
Starting point is 00:14:19 So it'll be cool to like, put the barbell of the test and like, all that good stuff and odd objects. When it comes to those monostructural implements, would you rather see them in isolation or more like bike to work style, a couple of something else? Um, I honestly don't care. I I'm good with anything. I think that like,
Starting point is 00:14:36 I'm pretty decent with CrossFit to just any CrossFit you work out. So combine some movements, whatever time domain it is. Um, I've, I've, I feel like I'm just well balanced enough now to not care where it used to would have been. I just want single modality.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Now I'm like, hey, mix it up. Let's do it. Brian, second place in workout one. Before I ask James, I want to ask you. Surprised that he took second place in the semifinals in event one? That was the machines and the the sled pool yes sir so um we've been doing the uh athlete spotlights over on be friendly fitness for the last two weeks that score is fourth best amongst all the guys at the games wow second best in the north america east but it held up pretty well and we know that
Starting point is 00:15:24 there are some potential inconsistencies in that workout anyway so extremely good score and as a like a fan who's trying to see well what might james do well at that a style of workout like that would bode very well for him so you're not surprised knowing him you're like uh yep he second though in that field there's some hosses in that field. I know, but he mentioned it already. He has experience doing well in workouts against high-level fields. Was it second place in that running swimming workout at Guadalupe, James? Yeah, second's the story of my life lately, so I need to change that.
Starting point is 00:16:03 James? Yeah. Second's the story of my life lately. So I need to change that. You know, but to take second, second place finishes against some of the best fields in the world, those are the things that you need to need to be able to do at the CrossFit games to, you know, survive the cuts and maximize your potential there. You can't, you cannot do as well if you're just constantly finishing 15 through 25, even if you have a bad finishes, you need those big finishes. Agreed. Uh, James, are you surprised you took second? Uh, no, I wanted to win that one that my sled flipped, but that's okay. Um, would you call that, uh, what would you call that workout? Was it a sled workout? Was it a running workout? Was it a all sled? All sled for sure.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Well, he says that, but there's this element of those style of workouts that you can never underestimate. And I think that Roman Krennikoff actually described it the best after DT with a spin last year at Rogue, is that even though the workout might have been won on the sled, if you can run at the same pace as me on the runner and feel better coming off of it, that matters a lot. So if you're able to manage the paces on the machines well you're setting yourself up better for this the sled so you i still think there's a minimum like like requisite that was required to
Starting point is 00:17:15 be good on the machines in order to capitalize on the sled work that that makes sense yeah i mean you can't have any weak link in in a workout where there's a bunch of modalities. Like if you have one that's going to slow you down, it's going to hurt the whole workout because it'll affect the other movements that you may be strong at too. But yeah, I think that this whole year has been targeted for me at training just to be a well-rounded athlete. And I think Matt, Coach Matt helped me do a really good job of just making that happen and making that goal come to fruition.
Starting point is 00:17:45 And so I'm grateful for the year of hard work that we put in. Hey, Brian, is that also your way of saying, hey, James is good at machines? Yeah, and I think it complements what he mentioned earlier, which is, you know, you give me a bike with some pull ups. I'm cool with that because I know I can I can handle the bike and I can hang on the pull ups. So, you know, he's going to come into that stadium feeling good enough to maximize his potential on the pull-ups. And even if, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:11 someone that's going to be there, like a Noah Olson, a Yona Koski that has a super fast cycle right on that gets him by a few seconds there. He feels confident enough to make it up on the, on the bike on the next round. Totally. It's really interesting.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Cause, uh, me and Noah got to train together, uh, uh, about a month got to train together, uh, uh, about a month ago, I went out to his gym in Miami and we did a workout that like had some really good elements for me and some really good elements for him.
Starting point is 00:18:34 It was like a barbell and some, some burpees. And it was just interesting, interesting to see like his shorter cycle rate helped him on the bar, but my aerobicness helped me on the burpees. And we were like a second off in that workout like we finished at the same time so it doesn't like what you just need to be know where you can push as an athlete with your strengths and know where hey maybe i'll hold back
Starting point is 00:18:55 a little bit in this part so uh are you planning to work out bkg it between uh the games and now at all just trying to see if you're making the rounds of 10-year athletes. Oh, man. For real, though. I've hit it up with Kat, Cole, and Noah now. I need to get him on the list, I guess. Why did you go to Miami, James? Why did you go to work out with Noah?
Starting point is 00:19:18 For experience? I have just loved his vibe and loved who he is as a person. And I love his energy and kind of resonate a lot with how he approaches this career as like, you know, he's happy he's in it, but always hungry for more. I love his mantra and I just love who he is as a human. So I really wanted to get out there if this was his real final hoorah. Something tells me he's going to want more after this, but we'll see. Are they giving you any tips over there when you're training?
Starting point is 00:19:48 Oh, yeah. I mean, I try and learn as much as I can. Like always try and be the student in the room, and I think try and talk less, which sounds silly coming from me, but talk less and you'll learn more. Hey, have you ever got any blowback for how cool you are and how nice you are? Noah is so nice, and yet he gets blowback for being nice. It's kind of crazy to me. He gets it because people are jealous of who he is and his character,
Starting point is 00:20:16 and they think that that's not genuinely possible to be like that. But in reality, it's because those people don't even realize, like, that's a real thing that you can have if you place your your values in the right spots and and work hard and are humble and treat people well. Like like you're going to be rewarded for that. You know, it's funny you say that about people don't believe that's who he really is. I do remember one CrossFit Games. He showed up like I had filmed with him one year. It was we had an absolute blast.
Starting point is 00:20:42 We showed up the next year and he was pretty serious. And somewhere through I go, hey, no, you don't seem like yourself and he goes this is on day one he goes yeah i'm trying to be like more serious and not fool around more and by day two or three he was like doing his being all hap super positive and happy i go hey what's up he goes forget that i'm not dude right that didn't work like that's stupid i'm just gonna be me and i was like dang everyone has a different way they're gonna succeed right and so this is something i um talk about with with matt like me and dallin recover differently he'll recover better in a dark room i'll recover better playing golf um like it doesn't it doesn't
Starting point is 00:21:17 mean one's right it means one's right for one person one's right for the other so it's like it noah's way of recovering between events maybe uh maybe being uh what's the word um gregarious outspoken social yeah josh social and just rich frowning yeah and someone else's might be taking a nap talking to no one and being in their zone and no way is right or wrong but you have to find what works for you uh heidi croom uh sar Sarah Cox, will you please adopt me? Sarah Cox, California peptide. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Have your girlfriend – does your girlfriend really think that her bicep is bigger than that? Dude, you should see her Instagram, bro. She's strong. She's front squatted 255, push pressed 185. I think she's clean 200. Let see let me see her what what let me see what's her name mrs sprague not yet let me see her bicep look at the way she's cupping your tits up there in that top photo let's go people thought this was an engagement photo but it wasn't dude have you carded her have i parted her was that carded carded like as in
Starting point is 00:22:27 like uh like is she 18 bro oh yeah she's she's older than me two two years older than me okay oh okay i let me see that pull-up video with the with the pink shirt right there on the top that might show some guns that oh i could do that too i can can moonwalk. Let's go. See, this is getting competitive now. I can moonwalk. I can do that. I can thrust like a son of a gun. So here's what you got to do. You got to come work out with us in the off season.
Starting point is 00:22:53 You can fly up to Coeur d'Alene, hang out with us for a week. I'll make you good food and you can work out with us. You do realize he's flying to Madison. He's taking his one trip for three years. No, no. Hey, I'm going to Coeur d'Alene on September 10th for a month. Wait, no, you're not. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Wait, no, wait. I'll have you over for dinner. We'll have a whole night. Are you serious? Yes. Wait, Brian, you just totally jinxed that, bro. But I am driving there. Brian is right about that.
Starting point is 00:23:20 I'm driving there from California. I'm not getting in a plane again. So I'm guessing it's like 14, 15 hours for you. Yeah. 15. Yeah. Dang.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Yeah. We'd be happy to have you, bro. That would be awesome. Sweet. Um, who are you staying with? With Greg.
Starting point is 00:23:34 No way. Yeah. For a month? For a month. Well, he doesn't know that it's 15 hours. He invited me up. I'm coming with my family.
Starting point is 00:23:41 I didn't ask when I'm leaving, but I, but I know he's going to be there till like October 10thth or whatever so i'm just in my head i'm like i'm not leaving till he asked me to leave my because the drive i'm gonna be so scarred from that drive if he kicks you out if he kicks you out just know you got a place with me and my dad uh we're getting a nice little ice tub we'll take you out boating we'll we'll we'll hang out we'll make some steaks we got a garage gym we'll have a bicep off what's your girlfriend's name again what'd you say what's your girlfriend's name danica danica
Starting point is 00:24:10 definitely measuring the biceps dude i can show you my california peptides and you can be like oh man i wish i could take those i wish i wasn't a professional athlete that'd be awesome i actually you know olivia sulek she competed last year. She's a friend of mine. I don't, but Brian does. Yes. So she actually – she's super, super strong. Me, Emma, and her, we're measuring our quads, and our quads are bigger than mine.
Starting point is 00:24:36 And we measure biceps, and our biceps are bigger than mine. Is she doing weightlifting now? No, but she still works out. She's still really strong. Yeah, she was good what tell me i want to talk about your uh final i want to talk about two things i want to talk about a fees final event with you but i want to talk about your final event first but let me let me poke brian again one more time so brian we got a second place in the first event with the machine and seventh place, his third best finish at the semifinal. And once again,
Starting point is 00:25:06 we have a machine. Um, one of the crazy thing is that seventh place was actually, it was eighth place against the entire, uh, qualifiers. So like the top worldwide, uh,
Starting point is 00:25:16 all of the 40 men that made it to the game. So only one other person outside of North America East beat him on that workout. The five best times in the world on that workout came out of that semifinal. There were only four times under four minutes. Wow. Dallin, Jason, Roman, and Alec Ngo, and Luke Parker's time was the next best in the world,
Starting point is 00:25:34 and James' was eighth best. And then there was a – I can't remember who else finished in that mix, but they had seven of the best eight times in the world on that workout in the East. Let's go East. James, is your back hurt no dude why are you gonna make some joke no no i just saw you put a pillow behind your back or something the way you adjust yourself i'm like is this dude injured you're not no dude i'm healthier than i've ever been okay okay okay i'll shut up i ain't got i ain't got nothing all right no no i
Starting point is 00:25:59 literally i i it's honestly crazy i felt like i was gonna come through this game training with some nicks and knacks and nooks and crannies and yeah uh I'm super grateful I haven't really had to deal with nothing um uh so Brian uh he he has a fantastic finish that's even better than what it shows here when you consider the entire field but uh does the bike play a big role in that is that once again if you're if you're playing Tyler's fantasy fitness at Heat 17 or whatever that thing's called, and you see a machine, do you put Sprague in? Possibly, possibly. But I think, I mean, I think he's...
Starting point is 00:26:36 Should his name be mentioned with Hopper and Roman? I don't know. I think, you know, well, I mean, those guys... Was it too far? I tried to go too much? Too quick? No, I just don't know because those guys have a lot more data points at Rogue at the games for the last
Starting point is 00:26:56 year and two years where they've been able to show consistent excellence in that regard. I think that James has a similar he's another big athlete that's competing and he has an engine. I think it's you know, James has a similar, he's a bit, another big athlete that's competing and he has an engine. So, you know, I think it's likely the answer is likely. Yes. But you know, I want to see a couple of top five finishes on workouts like that at the games to make, you know, make me feel more confident. Okay. So James, uh, thank you, Mr. Friend, walk us through that. You go, that event's about to start and what do you know like what is
Starting point is 00:27:27 matt or dom whisper in your ear dc look at me i'm learning all the names now i'm all good fired up oh just don't be like hey dude do or die you want to go home yes oh dom did the most of that with me um matt had this confidence in me like no one else and he had it the whole weekend he's always had it like this isn't matt wasn't even worried basically because he knew like oh this is your event like honestly if i was in a place where i could have risked it more i think i would have um in that event but i just really wanted to stay ahead of the two guys next to me so i just did what i needed to do and not like doing anything stupid. So it would have been nice to like be in a position where I could do a little more on that workout.
Starting point is 00:28:10 But it was like, honestly, it was really nice knowing the last workout was something I was super confident in versus the year before it was a workout that I was like, oh crap, anything could happen. Who were the two guys you're referencing? One was named Austinin from mayhem i
Starting point is 00:28:27 forget his last hatfield hatfield and then spencer panchick and and specifically because they were on either side of you or because someone had told you hey you need to score wise those two dudes have to finish behind you those two dudes had to finish behind me basically i had like 11 points on them but i couldn't let if if i got beat by both of them it wasn't good there were three three guys maybe maybe for us fighting for the last two spots and those are the two biggest threats yeah and um and when you say you wish you could have risked more what would that have looked like um full send the bike way harder all three starts yeah from the start really because i you know uh that that down that uh i think it was vigno and roman did that and they didn't work they couldn't hang
Starting point is 00:29:14 out at the end yeah i don't know i probably down in me and those workouts like in training will be pretty dang close um it's actually interesting game training with him was so fascinating because it was the first time like he would beat me in aerobic stuff. And it was the first time I beat him in weights. So it was so interesting because, like, we've never had that before. And, like, he's been working at that thing so hard that I've always been naturally good at. And then I've been working at the thing so hard that he's been naturally good at. So it was just a weird experience and fun for both of us.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Eaton Beaver, Seban, you were looking pretty lean. As I mentioned before, I am, I heard, I'm doing something that I'll tell you guys after the games, so you don't judge me now,
Starting point is 00:29:58 but I'm doing something that I heard a CrossFit Games athlete, an athlete who's not going to the games this year, but who went last year, who said that they knew they had an eating disorder when they started doing stuff like this. And that's what I'm doing. And it's working. You ever do fast, bro?
Starting point is 00:30:15 I fasted now and again. Yes, I fasted now and again. I think I'm going to try one after the games just to like see how it feels. Because I've done like- James, are you talking like a 24-hour fast or like a five-day fast? fast no like a two or three like like so i don't i would never want to do that if i was training but like with a couple weeks off just to see how it could like
Starting point is 00:30:33 cleanse you out i don't know it could feel good i did james i i haven't basically for more than three years i have i've done a 30 hour fast every week. I stopped eating Saturday night. I don't eat again until Monday morning. Wow. You sound, wow, that's interesting. Okay. It's old man shit. You'll see. Wow, okay, I like that.
Starting point is 00:30:55 If you've never, anyone who's listening, if you've never spent an entire day from waking up to going to bed without eating, I think everyone should try it. I agree. Or just like Savan does the night before, then eat the morning after the next day yeah i always like to get the extra sleep in yeah i agree you made it that far like hey two sleeps no eat that's like oh i like everyone should try it did you just coin that i never said it before
Starting point is 00:31:18 uh judy reed james likes older women check yes i Yes, I do. You learned that here. All right. Let's go. Oh, great, Mason. Of course she does. My girlfriend clean and jerks 260. That's huge. Is that true? I believe it. So you – are you actually thinking that in your head? You're like – you're actually holding back a little on the on the um echo bike on the bill henninger bike in a sense so i didn't blow up in the last round and like does that hurt your soul to hold back like that to not be no no no it's being a competitor
Starting point is 00:31:57 you should you as a competitor you should be totally situational just like a quarterback like you got to pick the right the right person to pass to and and and call your audibles when you need to and that's same thing in our sports like you got to be an athlete on the floor and know your situation right yeah okay and then and then you cross the finish line and um where is uh hatfield and spencer you know they're behind you yeah yeah and do you know god you're cocky no no no no i didn't know uh and um did you know that um at that point um you would be going to madison to back back in one second okay please please yes i like to draw this out this is crazy yeah we got to try it a little longer yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:32:40 you come off the toes to bar and then there's the sandbag in front of you is that sandbag even a thought for you or is that like a toy? No, no, that thing is light. We actually have been training on 300 here at Brute Strength. It's scary. Come on, it's scary. It's nasty. No, the toe to bar scared me.
Starting point is 00:32:59 I think gymnastics are the thing I'm going to target the most in the offseason because I think it's the one thing I'm better at, but I still want to keep getting better at. So you know when you finish the last toes of the bar that you can pick up that bag. Oh, yeah. It's basically just a 40- or 60-foot walk to the games. Yep, totally.
Starting point is 00:33:19 In that moment, do you have any ability to think about that stuff, or are you just so happy that it's out of body? Oh man, it was, it was out of body. I don't even remember the face I made when I crossed finish line. Like I looked at a video, I was like, you made that face? Like what? That's crazy. Hey, where are you going with that 300 pound bag right there?
Starting point is 00:33:39 Oh, we went too far. My back is still messed up from two weeks ago. So maybe you're right. Maybe I do need the support pillow, bro. That thing is savage, dude. Nice shorts, by the way. Those are beautiful. This is the same workout with that other picture, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:33:56 Yeah, yeah, same workout. Are you blue-eyed? I am blue-eyed. Not blonde hair, though. Oh, so those shorts are popping. Look at you. Do you like? Yeah, dang, dude. They're nice and short on me. You can get them at witfitness.com. not blonde hair though oh so those shorts are popping look at you like yeah dang dude they're
Starting point is 00:34:05 nice they're nice and short on me you can get them at witfitness.com wow uh that's first try that's first try as they say in the skating world oh yeah sure yeah yeah my god hey uh did did fee or danielle or emma try to mess with that 300? Look at those shorts are short shorts and James rolls them up. Dude, I don't roll them up. Dude, it's so bad. I have way too long of legs. And the thing is, is they just, I don't know how to get them to stay down, man.
Starting point is 00:34:41 Is your ass hungry? Is that why? Do they just get sucked up in your ass? I think so yeah my ass likes a good munch do you have a big butt james it's gotten bigger i've been told but it's not huge yet like i got work to do um did did fee or emma or danielle even can touch the 300 pound bag did either of them go over there no no girls no girls would touch that. No. Wow. Sexist. I know.
Starting point is 00:35:06 On behalf of the step on podcast, I would like to announce that I did not say that it was a guest. I'm very open-minded to my guests. And yeah, I don't think what's the comparable sandbag for them there. Uh, 200. And is it,
Starting point is 00:35:19 would you say that it's like, it's actually as easy for them as it is for you? The 300 or is one more difficult? I thought it was harder for the girls than the guys yeah if i mean this is a at a big at a high level like this conversation about what's the appropriate correlate men to women in terms of percentage of weight i think that it's you know it's traditionally 70 i think in certain things they've well exceeded that but in other things they're still behind the upper body pressing. I think we've seen as a case of that and maybe some of this odd objects.
Starting point is 00:35:49 It's interesting too, to me, like that they still modify, uh, like a deficit for a handstand pushup for a girl. Um, because like girl, like a lot of girls can do the same max set of strict handstand pushups on
Starting point is 00:36:02 the floor as a guy. Um, and same with like a ring muscle up. A lot of girls can do the same max set as a guy i always wondered about that that uh the deficit if maybe it was like because of arm length like i don't know i just on average six inches shorter than the men's field like does that you know is is doing a six inch deficit comparable to doing a nine inch deficit deficit given the body like the anthropometrics of the body i'm not sure all i know is shorter arms help on a handstand push-up so like if if you have shorter arms then the deficit's going to therefore be easier because
Starting point is 00:36:36 you have less range of motion but who knows but we had this conversation during the 2020 games and the first uh it was a reprogrammed, um, rowing bar muscle up shoulder to overhead workout. The weights came out and everyone was like, why is the women's weight less than 70% of the men's? But then we saw it play out in real time. And the women and men's performances were almost mirrors of each other, making me think that they got that one.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Perfect. So maybe it's, it's that same thing of just the upper body pressing capacity or raw strength. Isn't the same as, uh, as, as some of the other weightlifting things that they've caught up on. Yeah. I mean, the testing team does such a good job of figuring out, like being on the demo team last year, it was the intricacies that they, and the, and the steps and the details they take to get these things right is nuts. They'll, they'll test, test,'ll test test test test test tell it's perfect uh justin's zizumbo from uh salty hive crossfit in utah traditionally justin it's 67 good dude right there uh derrick brink uh man james sprague thick thighs save lives. Should I start booty by brute? I'll be the face of it.
Starting point is 00:37:45 Booty. They have someone already. Booty by brute. Oh! Is it Dallin? Yes. Yes. It is Dallin.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Spelled very close to Dallin. Yolanda Jennings, Australian, 799. Hi, Seve. Hi, James. Hi, Brian. What a fun podcast. Seve, what happens with the podcast while you're at the games? Oh, he's asking, are you going to do a podcast at the games?
Starting point is 00:38:14 I don't know. You probably won't have time. You're going to be so busy. I'm going to be so busy. So let me get this straight. You're going to be with us in our briefings, at our check-ins, during the events, on the field. You're going to be doing everything. I hopeings, at our check-ins, during the events, on the field. You're going to be doing everything.
Starting point is 00:38:26 I hope so. And anywhere they'll let me go. There's a lady there, Heather Lawrence, who's been taking crazy good care of us. There's one place she says we can't go, and I couldn't figure it out where that is. The women's room? We're even allowed in there. We're even allowed in the um uh athlete village yeah we're allowed we're allowed every i mean not probably not in the in the in the what in the loo is that how you say it if you're probably trying to be really clean and probably the loo but anywhere like we're allowed in the
Starting point is 00:38:59 in the it's cool it's awesome they're hooking us up. Athlete Village. But there's some place we're not allowed. I bet it's the place where they have all the top secret information. No. I'll go there too, I think. I'm just going to stay really close to Dave. Like if I... You know how a baby duck will run under a big...
Starting point is 00:39:21 It's like a big duck if there's a threat. That's what I'm going to do. I'm just going to run under Dave. I like like a big duck if there's a threat that's what i'm gonna do i'm just gonna run under dave i like it um are you uh uh what was i gonna say is dave gonna announce any workouts for us i hope so i've not heard anything like that i hope so i hope he goes back to all that i just want a good old dave mic drop you know yeah stefan's gonna stay close to dave for one day and the second day he's not gonna to see him for 10 consecutive hours. Wow. That's possible. Jonathan Ortega, Heather Lawrence is cool as fuck. Yeah, she's been awesome. Golf, Foxtrot, Yankee.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Is Grendler going to the games? If not, he should co-host. I need someone to host. There's Dave now. And then he's going to say to you, Savan, I need to see more of you tomorrow. Right. No, he doesn't want to see me hey so you finish you cross the finish line
Starting point is 00:40:12 you're there and do you know that it's enough like are you 100% certain yeah I was 100% certain and so when they said your name did you have an emotional download or no it was like emotional upload it was like the just like i i've been waiting to hear that for so long and um just worked for seven years up to that point for that like teenage games were
Starting point is 00:40:40 cool and and and awesome and fun but that's what I really wanted and it was just so emotional like I really didn't feel it till I started training again realizing like oh I actually get to train for the games last year was so hard I I started training again right after I missed it for the for the LCQ and it was just hard to train and not fun and no motivation and this was complete opposite this is the most fun I've ever had training in my life did you cry are you crying right here uh right there uh no i wasn't crying i was just i was saying a little prayer did water come out of your face when they announced your name uh not at that moment it did it did when i giving some phone calls after though yeah what did your dad say to you uh i love you love you, son. Oh yeah. That was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:41:25 He, he, I think he was crying, which was pretty cool. He was, he was so, so excited. Um,
Starting point is 00:41:31 and he, uh, honestly, it's just not the same when he's not there, when I get to compete. So I'm really glad he gets to be by my side at the games this year too. Um, James, you,
Starting point is 00:41:41 I can't remember what video it was, but you basically said that you're doing the, you, you're training to spread the word of God. Yes, sir. What does that mean? Like, do you have some word you want to spread on here? Um, you know, just, uh, I think my, my verse from the Bible that kind of defines this year for me is from Proverbs 24, 16. It's the righteous man falls seven times yet he rises again. So just kind of defines this year for me is from proverbs 24 16 it's the righteous man falls seven times yet he rises again so just kind of like um you know just about like character and and what that's supposed to look like and um how like how this kind of crossfit journey relates to my faith is
Starting point is 00:42:17 that like you know it hasn't been it hasn't been perfect at all and there's been a lot of struggles in it but um whatever struggles i have i can give them to the Lord and know that everything is going to be okay and that there's a lot more to my life than just CrossFit. It's serving God and serving a higher purpose than me. So it gives me a lot of – By serving God, I took it that you mean spread the word of God to introduce other people to God. It's the way I took it when I heard you say it. Yes, yes, and not doing anything for selfish, selfish reasons, you know. And so that's going to be if that's going to be important, like, how are you going to do that?
Starting point is 00:42:53 Are you going to by the way, can you pull that up again, Caleb? That was nice. He pulled that up. I don't want to do blasphemy here, but I'm in a similar boat but when for the righteous uh fall seven times they rise again but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes your name is the number of completeness bro and why seven is there is that do i need to read the whole story to know seven did something happen to someone no seven is the symbolic number of of complet in the Bible, and six falls short, hence why 666 is the devil's number, and God promises seven things seven times a bunch of times in the Bible. Oh, you're going to hate this next one. So five is man, six is Satan, and seven is God. I got it.
Starting point is 00:43:37 I would say anything short of seven is – but six is specifically Satan, yes. Okay. Seven is walking a ball of blasphemy. I apologize. I know. It's okay. You're making a joke. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Thank you. Thank you. But that's going to be important. I don't know. When I heard you say that, I believe you. I just hear a lot of people say that for us, those who haven't gotten on the path as far along as you have and haven't found God. I hear that. And then I'm like, yeah, but, but what did you do? But what, what you did, you didn't tell me like a cool story about God or like, I don't know, a joke about God. Like
Starting point is 00:44:14 you're sitting up there with the first place I did this for God. And I'm like, okay, but like, aren't you supposed to be like fishing for souls and shit? And like, like, how about throwing me a line out here? I mean, I'm glad you won. That's how I look at it. Like we, we give glory to God because of what, what Jesus did on the cross. And so Jesus died for all our sins. Cause we, we fell short of God by the fall of man with Adam and Eve. Right. And so since we fell short in that situation, Adam and Eve was all of us. We're all falling short and we're all sinful that since jesus died on the cross for all of our sins
Starting point is 00:44:45 that we give the glory to him with all of our endeavors so my endeavor being crossfit i give the glory to him for me doing well in crossfit and i try and use the fruit of crossfit to glorify him okay good okay by the way very very uh it's a good bible lesson in a very short amount of time impromptu even hey let's go i'm always here'm always here for it. James, there are quite a few athletes at the games that say many similar things to this. Do you talk to a lot of those guys or any of those guys? Oh, man, I really want to connect more with Christofel and Bailey Rayl. I got to talk with Luke P a lot at drug testing after the semis.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Sometimes those drug tests are just there for hours and you can actually get to know someone quite well during that time they read three chapters in the bible together during the drug yes bro for real it was so funny watching um who was it dallin jason and who else got blood tested there was another dude but just watching their faces like that was pretty funny i was laughing pretty hard um but it's surprising to me how little people popped this year i would you know yeah i mean i guess if we learn anything from the years past it's that you know crossfit is is very normally they're very particular about how they go about that process but i've always kind of wished that there would be something where they could
Starting point is 00:46:05 just say, uh, we've concluded all the drug tests for week one. Yeah. It's like, just so like that, we know otherwise it's like, I just like always am nervous in the week leading up to the game that they
Starting point is 00:46:16 might just be an appeal process going on. And then the last, the last day they're going to say something that's like, man, like, Oh, this athlete's now competing. And then we didn't have the chance to like highlight them, like your stories and stuff. So it does, it does
Starting point is 00:46:28 put a bum in it for sure. Did you get something that saying you say you cleared James? No, no, no one gets that. No one gets that. Yeah. But that's kind of weird. That's, that's kind of weird. Yeah, for sure. But I mean, I hear so many people talk about like, you know, like, but I mean I hear so many people talk about like you know like as long as you take informed sport blah blah like you're gonna be good um you know there's I feel like it's actually really hard to pop unless you're taking something because if you if something's not informed sport doesn't mean oh they're just putting roids in it but it's good to stay on the informed sport side because then you know you're for sure safe. Riley Collins, Brian not religious, so he checked out.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Just reading chat. I'm going to tell you that you're misreading Brian. You're very, very much misreading Brian. Brian is a very well – he's an appreciator of the cosmologies of the world, a deep, deep appreciation for them. Yes, the wisdom of the world, I should say. Oh, snap, preaching. Bruce, preach. Johnny, James hasn't missed a day of Bible study. I missed 18 and a half years of it, 19 years.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Mike Halpin, the brain. I love this so much. James and Emma are besties. Okay. Everyone settled down. I actually love, I actually love like theological talks. I had this guy in my DMS the other day.
Starting point is 00:47:55 And we just, he sent me like probably like eight paragraphs about, you know, like why he doesn't believe in God. And I was like, I, I totally like appreciate when people come to me and have these conversations. Cause that's like what I want to appreciate when people come to me and have these conversations
Starting point is 00:48:05 because that's like what I want to do. It's not. Yeah. Okay. So you are spreading the word. That's good. You're making yourself open enough for people to approach you. Oh.
Starting point is 00:48:11 Because clearly they're curious if they're approaching you. Totally. Like I appreciate being approached with that too. That's like an honor. Greg Glassman. It's kind of interesting how a lot of top athletes have strong connection with God and religion.
Starting point is 00:48:23 I surmise this is likely because to get to their level they have to dig deeper than most people um miss burns keep uh spreading the love of christ james it's infectious let's go thanks miss burns i i owe you uh i owe you uh 10 minutes of my life thank you by the way i still haven't uh it's just sitting on our kitchen counter. Stevan, do you have a rule that if someone, like, donates, you have to bring their comment up or does that naturally do that? Yes. Okay, so I know that if I want to get your attention,
Starting point is 00:48:56 I just have to throw a couple bucks in the ring. Yeah, I mean, because it pops up on my side in some, like, really strong color. Okay. And so I feel obligated. There's only like once or twice. I think like when Emma Carey was on, like there was someone with some crazy – no, Olivia Kirsten was on. There was someone with some crazy name like Eaton Beaver or Barry McCockner.
Starting point is 00:49:17 And they're like, ask Emma like what her training – it was like a legit question. But I can't like bring it up and like be like, Olivia, Barry McCaulkin or I just couldn't do it. I was just like, even I have my boundaries. You know what I've really enjoyed now that you bring that up is that, you know how Emma, Emma Carey in our gym has such a sweet soul and would never say a bad word. Like I really enjoy, she's opened up a lot to that. So like if I make a bad joke, she'll actually laugh at it sometimes,
Starting point is 00:49:43 but there'll be other times I make a bad joke and she'll just give me this glare like why did you say that and i'll be like i just disappointed you that hurts my soul yeah she's so awesome yeah you guys got a what a great um team there uh jessica valenzuela uh damn right he better bring up our comments see i mean i bring up ones that people don't There's people I also like There's people in here like I think I know Like I think I know Judy And she's shown me she has a great sense of humor So I bring her stuff all the time Heidi Krum
Starting point is 00:50:14 Straight G Who's a prostitute? I just love her This guy kind of cracked the code on me Because he used the name Greg Glassman Yeah that was good So he fucks with me He got me like he you know what i mean he like smells good to me so i always go there even though it's like i probably shouldn't but
Starting point is 00:50:32 he uh bruce wayne's my homeboy uh audrey yeah there's people in here with my homeboys heidi pays a dollar uh yes he's a pro look she felt bad because i read it so she coughed up a buck i need a dick in me I pull this up way too much. Oh my gosh. I didn't realize what that said. I was like, what kind of name is that? Oh,
Starting point is 00:50:52 Oh, pool boy. Yes. Pool boy gets, uh, just tons of love in here. Yeah. It's also like,
Starting point is 00:50:59 if you say stuff that like I want to say, but I can't say, but I will blame you if you typed it. Like pool boy is great for that he'll just take he just says stuff that i can bring up and it just takes all the heat for it so off season i'm gonna make it a goal to try and come comment on these things more because this looks like fun oh it's great i would love that people people will go crazy if you drop in the comments i think i'll hide myself as some hidden name and then see if you can figure it out over a couple episodes yeah yeah that's good i'll drop you little hints
Starting point is 00:51:29 hey come in here and just trying to talk shit about james sprague and see if people like go to bat for you oh i like that i like that well so many caring people in this comment section uh jamie latimer if i see hers you get special preferential treatment if you're a thousand times fitter than me. Oh, I love it. So, yeah, Savant, do you ever get sick of, like, talking all the time on this since you do two, three, four shows a day? Or are you pretty much steadfast, sustained, good? I'm good. I feel like I was concerned today that I wasn't going to bring enough energy.
Starting point is 00:52:03 And I was really happy that it was you and Brian that I was doing it. It's like I knew ahead of time. I knew Kayla would be here. That takes a ton of pressure off me. The morning shows I'm by myself. But when I knew you and Brian were going to be here, I was like, oh, yeah. Because these people are giving their time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:18 And like I do not want them coming over here. I'm like, hi. Respect. Yeah. That's how I show up to the gym like i'm a personal trainer and and you know i don't ever want to show up to my client sessions with no energy so i'm like hey you have to find something in there because you're you're there to bring energy and serve them so don't show up just yeah you're there that's some good gotcha too i believe that

Starting point is 00:54:33 Out of a pool? Heck yeah. Out of a shower? I'd be like, why do I have to share a towel with you? Oh, I, I, God, you fucked it all up, James. Okay. I said, Olivia Kerstetter said she was, she was there. These guys just sort of just want to ass pound me.
Starting point is 00:54:55 Olivia Kerstetter said she's sharing a hotel room with her dad at the games. Right. Yeah. And I go, I go, Oh, and her mom. And I was like, Oh, I was like, you mean? So like, if like he gets out of the shower and like you guys share a towel or something, you share a towel. And everyone's like, okay, Creepy Joe. I'm like, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:55:10 I got thrown in there with Creepy Joe? Bro, that is so bad. And so I was hoping you'd have my back and be like, yeah, it's my dad. Shit, I don't care if I get a few of his pubes in my mouth. Dude, that's even worse for a little girl. Oh, shit. Okay, this show's over. Get out of here.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Jessica Valenzuela. Has someone asked James to say, get to the choppa? Oh, will you please say, get to the choppa? Get to the choppa, man. You sounded more like Carl Weathers than, is that his name, Carl Weathers?
Starting point is 00:55:44 There's like a little Bob Marley in there. Yeah. I have the worst singing voice, worst Australian accent, worst British accent like ever. Savan compared himself to Bob Marley earlier today. Oh, cool. Yeah, he said, I know there's people that don't like me. There were even people that didn't like Bob Marley.
Starting point is 00:56:04 Fair enough. Susie Tell with the CEO shirt. She's wearing a CEO shirt in her picture, so she never has to give money. Even though we didn't meet up in Tahoe, but the Dave Castro and Don worked out with us. Here's a few bucks. Oh, that's sweet.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Wait, is there a proper way to say get to the chopper? Do you know the movie? You should just have that clip ready to go at all times for these interviews. Is that from The Terminator? Predator, I think. The Predator, okay. Get to the Chopper. Have you seen Inglourious Bastards?
Starting point is 00:56:40 Yeah. That's one of my faves. I hated it. Oh, really? Oh, my goodness. Bruce, you don't have a CEO shirt? Yeah faves. I hated it. Oh, really? Oh, my goodness. Bruce, you don't have a CEO shirt? Yeah, I think I missed that. How is that possible?
Starting point is 00:56:49 Do you like Quentin Tarantino? Me? In general? Yeah. I don't know who that is. Oh. He directed that movie in Glory's Bastard. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:56:59 Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. Okay, here we go. Let's go. Let's go. Get to the chopper. get to the chopper okay that's not bad okay now i get it now i won't mess it up again okay i feel like i let people down get to the chopper pretty good well you know what's crazy is your your accent may have not been the best one but it had the most drama that matched his dire situation like you had like a like a kind of
Starting point is 00:57:31 he was dying he was dying yeah dang that sucks okay we're getting there uh when do you go to madison i leave on sunday morning and we all fly out together we're gonna be one big happy brute family that's nice that makes coach tolerable oh yeah and we can uh can all make him happy he's been working really hard for us so what uh hopefully he has a little less stressful week leading into the games who coach matt he's been grinding with us, man. Which coaches from Brute are going to be up there? DC, Dom, and Matt are our three mains. Nice. I love it when Brian asks a question that I know the answer to.
Starting point is 00:58:14 You get a couple other coaches' passes, though. Yeah, I think Al is on fees, her husband, fiance. And then I think Dallin's putting corinne on his or uh or cooper yeah sometimes people put their managers sometimes someone in a you know in a group setting like that they'll put like a physio or something like yeah which is dope yeah we're all there to help each other it's awesome it's called economy not coach, I get it. He's saying about flying. Yeah, is that true? What are you saying?
Starting point is 00:58:47 Dude, I've realized something. I have this Delta, sick Delta credit card, and it gets you 140 pounds of free luggage on Delta flights. Wow. That's pretty awesome. Yeah, you could put someone in your luggage. Dude, right? And then what happens?
Starting point is 00:59:05 You do the games and where do you go Sunday? Where do you go Monday morning when the games are over? I'm glad you said after it's over Sunday. You're telling me I'm going to make the cut. Thank you. So basically, after the games, it's going to be a crazy season for me. I'm actually going to move home back to washington idaho for a while um until next season um and i'll be over there till probably january so i'm gonna come back here to florida move all
Starting point is 00:59:33 my stuff out of my apartment um and say sayonara to my roommate for a bit nate ackerman i love the kid um hopefully he's watching this right now hi nate um and i saw him like the last day before i left chicago he was yeah he sent me a selfie you're like dude he's gotten big he's watching this right now hi nate um i saw him like the last day before i left chicago he was yeah he sent me a selfie you're like dude he's gotten big he's getting like 30 pounds in the last like month and a half yeah he looks strong he's strong but yeah puberty and food anyway i'll go home for a while hang out with the lady we've been doing long distance for so long you drive from um florida to washington no okay no i i have too much adhd to sit in that car for that long and then and so you'll just stay up there with your lady and your dad and then when it's when you say the season starts again you'll come to florida and
Starting point is 01:00:16 when is that when does the season start um i think after wadapalooza i really want to do dubai um this year uh depending on a couple things. I have a buddy's wedding. His wedding's in December, so that comes first because I'm going to be in the wedding with him, and he's one of my best friends. So if Dubai is before that, I'm for sure doing Dubai because it's outdoors, and it suits me well, like we talked about at the beginning. I like outdoor stuff. I like auto objects. Dubai does that well.
Starting point is 01:00:43 And I want to go experience another country.'ve really haven't been out of country much i've been to canada and um and mexico once but i want to go explore how do you crew my two games tickets for sale three hundred dollars each coliseum i might buy those heidi text me those are great they let me go they went for 275 for athletes so that's pretty cheap. Mabel Mayanis. Mabel McManus. You totally – that was a great pronunciation. Nate is legal, yes. Nate is also single.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Is someone freezing on us i don't know no i think he's i think i think he's not there oh wow this is crazy so what should we talk about we'll keep the show going okay i like it um brian no one ever asked about you how are you doing you remember like 45 minutes ago i was gonna ask a question and then seven was like i just told him to keep going he has adhd too bro no i've been hanging on to it just waiting for the right okay i'm ready the right time was when he left his frozen face looks like a like i don't even know the grinch or something i would say i would say for you know people who know the five of you well i think that it's fair to say at least that at the semifinals, every single one of you guys met or exceeded expectations. I think that the goal, my perception,
Starting point is 01:02:13 the goal this year was probably for Danielle and Emma to be somewhere in the top three. The goal was probably for Dallin to be in the top five, and the goal for you and for you is probably to make the games. Yep. As a minimum goal. Correct. Obviously, that's a great feeling for the whole group to come back off of.
Starting point is 01:02:29 You know, if four do well or meet their goal and one doesn't, it's just like it's tough, right? And I'm sure that, you know, whether you – and I'm not asking you to talk about it now, but everyone has like an idea of what's happening at the games. What's possible for Danielle might be different than Dallin's's what he's looking at or what you're looking at when you guys get there do you think that there's going to be a continued sense of like uh of camaraderie of of that type of thing or do you think that you guys might kind of gravitate into
Starting point is 01:02:58 your own little pursuits oh that's such a good question. I think that during briefings and stuff, I plan on sticking around my peeps as much as I can, if they allow me to. I definitely like, I'm excited to hang out with other people I train with at other places. Like, I want to hang out with Cole Sager a lot, Alex Kazan, one of my friends. Um, like I just, I plan on just like for me myself, soaking it all in and, and hanging with people that I want to catch up with too. And, but also staying serious. Like I'm like Noah, where I'm going to do better if I'm hanging out and like enjoying people's presences. And, um, so for me, I plan on, um, you know, sticking around those people and, and, um, for my specific goal, I want to be top 15 and i think i'm capable of that if i play out everything right um which would be incredible rookie year
Starting point is 01:03:51 and i think i'm capable of doing if i do it right but you're right everyone has their own specific goal in places they should be and um as long as we run our own race i think we can all hit our goals i put a i had a goal for you in mind as well oh yeah talk to me it was um actually it was top 18 because that's one spot better than dallin did last dude we talked about that the good dude's curse and down and jason both their first year we're 19th so you gotta you can pip them at least by one i think top 18 it's like you gotta be happy with that that's a win i i think a full weekend is a win overall but then after we make the full weekend it's like you gotta be happy with that that's a win i i think a full weekend is a win overall but then after we make the full weekend it's like sunday let's wake up and choose violence
Starting point is 01:04:29 to go attack dallin's placing yo oh yo suza savon you look different yeah yeah it's me it's me it's savon um his computer like shut down and like stopped that sucks yeah it's been working too hard maybe it's a sign that's it was it was capped out of this many interviews so i don't know i don't really know what the current plan was but you guys were just you guys were jamming so keep going i just wanted you to know i'm here as support it was back there and we got you guys dude thanks nice bookshelf by the way looking good man oh thanks i gotta tilt it down it's like pretentious i get self-conscious about it but if you had it up a little bit, then the CEO coffee mug is in the shot.
Starting point is 01:05:07 So it's like, yeah, just tilt it all the way up and you could see my good side, which is just right here. Let's go. Oh, stop. Me out of the frame completely. Have you guys seen the guy who goes on like Omegle and he's like a creepy looking dude and he'll be like, he'll go on and say something nice and then he'll go off and then he'll come back on another person's screen no okay i don't even know there's a guy that comes on this podcast at the beginning who what's it he has glasses i think um he looks exactly like this meme dude i don't know how to describe it i don't know is it c Caleb? It might be Caleb.
Starting point is 01:05:46 Does Caleb ever wear glasses? Yes. Wait, he's been here the whole time. Yes. He's been doing the backend. I got to find these memes and he looks, you kind of look like the guy that goes on Omegle and you go and you,
Starting point is 01:06:01 and you like be like, hi ladies. And then you say something and leave. And then you come up on the net. Yes, dude. You know what i'm talking about i think so and now i'm oh caleb knows you can do some research and decide if he wants to show anything relevant to what you're talking about or not oh it's exactly like him james sorry go for it brian well the one of the reasons i asked it is because what's likely to happen is that at some point you're going to do an event and you're going to absolutely smash it seven is calling oh shit i think his computer is like oh seven oh get him in here i'm prompt to
Starting point is 01:06:38 you're on the podcast live welcome to the the show, caller. Welcome to the show. How does it feel? We're good to go. Come back in if you want. We're just talking about CrossFit stuff. It's completely derailed. It's completely derailed. Hey, Brian. Bye.
Starting point is 01:07:02 Oh, there we go. Comp Day vibes. I might have something else for you up in Madison too. I'll put it on my Yeti. I got room right here. I got my face. I got your sticker. And Coeur d'Alene.
Starting point is 01:07:15 That's a good trilogy. Oh, here we go. He's back. Let's go. He is back? Yeah. Oh, did your hair change? Oh, did your hair change?
Starting point is 01:07:30 Dude, who's doing that, bro? That's an actual, what happened was all of these people that are doing the comments, they got together, and that's actually them doing that cheer, and they sent it to Matt, and he imported it into the sounds that you can pull up on the back end. Oh, wow. And then he's gone. Dude, wait, I see someone just commented commented 1999 as in like they're paying you but it's not so they're trying to get you to pull it up savon knows who it is oh that means that that person is saying that the show's over that's so there's all this nuance to the show james when they type 1999 in there, that person is saying,
Starting point is 01:08:05 Hey, you got to fix your mic. So on, I think you should leave your mic the way it is. Your echo is kind of nice. I'm rebooting. I'm rebooting. He's doing good,
Starting point is 01:08:18 bro. Uh, sorry, sorry, Brian, we cut you off again. You said once someone smashes something, uh,
Starting point is 01:08:24 then, then continue. If a workout goes really well for you and it doesn't go well for Dallin and you come into the back, the main thing that pops in my mind when I think about this is the Jukic brothers from a couple of years at semifinals. They both went into the last event. They were both in a qualifying spot.
Starting point is 01:08:43 They come out of it. Lazar wins the semifinal. Luka misses the games by a couple points like he couldn't even enjoy it because his brother was so devastated yep and in the case that that happens amongst you guys it's like is that something that you're prepared for or how do you see it going um i i don't think that uh it would be i i think that all of us, me and Dallin specifically, I think that me and him will be coercing a lot more than, like, me and the girls because we're actually competing with each other and on similar time schedules. So if he has a troubled event and he wants me to come hang out
Starting point is 01:09:19 and talk with him and debrief, I will. If he doesn't want me to, which he has coaches to do it with him, I won't say anything. But like, I think that me and him will knock a lot of things out together, which is great because we have pretty similar strengths and workouts now. Like, I think me and him are both going to obliterate Helen together, which is going to be fun. And yeah, that's something that I've thought about in the past. And I don't know if I've spoken about it too much is like, you know know a lot of times people talk about a team or an athlete that can gain momentum but in a game scenario like i think back to um brent and pat in their first year in 2016 like i think the fact
Starting point is 01:09:54 that brent was doing well like helped pat and the fact that pat was doing well helped brent and then by at some point in the weekend they were like just raising each other's level and yeah oh that's for sure a thing like like you boost morale with the people you train with. If you know like, hey, if Dallin just smashed that and I didn't, I know that me and him in training do these things similar. So why should I not be up there with him? Like I should not – like it's a confidence thing for sure. And I think it's been very helpful to have each other to push with over summer
Starting point is 01:10:22 because we've definitely gotten more out of each other from train together. Yeah. I'm excited for that, for you guys. I think that it's likely, like you said, that there'll be some, some events that you guys both excel at and that if you can get a string, a couple of those together and the momentum can be strong. Agreed. Agreed. Seven, you happy with your setup over there? Oh, that was crazy. I've never seen that happen.
Starting point is 01:10:46 Hey, so then when do you come back to Brute? Are you going to end up back at Proven? Tell us now. No, no. Are you going to end up at HWPO? Tell us now. Are you going to end up over at Max O'Hodge Fit? Tell us.
Starting point is 01:10:58 No, no. I'm with Matt, and Matt has done so many good things for me, and I will continue to work with him online for a little bit um so he'll still be coaching me he'll still be checking in daily all the good stuff just like i used to i worked with him remote for four years before i moved here when you work with him online does he like to see a lot of videos of of stuff like technical lifting cues that we're really focused on like if we're coming up with a new position for a handstand push-up or there's a new drill um that we're going through like yeah he'll want to see videos make
Starting point is 01:11:30 sure i'm i'm doing things right but that's what my wife says when there's new positions she wants to see videos too i'm like oh gross of what stuff new positions of like uh like workout stuff yeah workout stuff yeah i'm playing the innocent card here. Good, healthy. Pretend like I'm one of the young girls on here. Jess, you're just supposed to blow over it. If you're going to be a regular on this show, you got to just let it blow over. It's just a joke.
Starting point is 01:11:52 It slides under the – for the perverts, they all get it, and then no one else gets it. I'll be one of the good boys here. That's cool, Saman. Thank you. I saw Nate Ackerman on Grindr the other day. Ooh. James is so innocent.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Look, Ken was buying it. Look, that's awesome. Yeah, let's go. I sold it, man. I used to be a dirty boy and made dirty jokes all the time. Now I'm a good boy. Hey, how did you stop doing that? Do you have an editor on? Do they still pop up and you're like, Lord, save me, free me from these sinful thoughts? Yeah, yeah. Temptation. Yeah, I definitely, that's pretty accurate, actually. Oh, man, I don't want to go down that road. Oh, shoot. Then you can just apply the seventh step of Alcoholics Anonymous to that principle and take God out of the conversation and achieve the same result.
Starting point is 01:12:39 Dude, what is it? The serenity prayer. It's not the seven stuff, but it is part of that program. Dang it. My dad's been sober for 13 years. I went to a couple meetings with him. They were pretty cool. It's basically like you identify
Starting point is 01:12:55 something that you want to change or get out of your life and you turn it over in alcoholics and non-alcoholics. You turn it over to the greater power, whatever your higher power is. It's basically about finding whatever's a higher power than you so you can get over something. But it's the vocalization of that. It's like you've communicated that to the universe or to the God that you understand or the group.
Starting point is 01:13:16 And you've said, I don't want to speak that way anymore. And that gives power to the goal. Yeah. I like it. But an interesting story about that. One of my mentors in college, he had like 30 plus years sobriety. And one of those things that he'd kind of turned over, over and over and over again was biting his nails.
Starting point is 01:13:35 And another was smoking cigarettes. Biting his nails. Wow. Okay. And that one went away. He said the biting of nails went away and he didn't even notice it. And just all of a sudden, one day he realized he didn't do it anymore but the smoking the cigarettes it took like 25 years and then all of a sudden one day he just finally lost like he just totally lost the desire
Starting point is 01:13:51 to do it dude i mean getting over addiction sometimes isn't as easy as just one two three i mean any addiction whatever it is it's it's sometimes it's linearly progressing off of things um and that's that's the only way you can do it sustainably so however you got to get it done that's cool look at this look at this effect enormous tits um james is making me want to go to church and find me a husband not really but i might change my youtube name yeah incremental steps eating beaver seven's computer blacked out from the virus he got from porornhub. This, this... Stop, James. James, you don't know what that joke's about.
Starting point is 01:14:28 James, stop. No Pornhub laughing, James. You're a good boy. You don't even know what Pornhub is. This computer system here, none of this shit has ever been to Pornhub, just so you know. And I swear to the, to my entire family's lives
Starting point is 01:14:43 at stake. He has a twice as big of a setup as that for those endeavors. This, I don't do any, I would never, this is sacred land here. I don't do it. There's nothing like, um, like this. I go to the B and H website, Amazon. I do YouTube here. That's it. Like there's no terrible. How terrible is it though? That that's the number one most searched thing on the internet. Pornhub. Yeah. like there's no terrible how terrible is it though that that's the number one most searched thing on the internet pornhub yeah more than google who is more than amazon i i did hear something it's like a third of the bandwidth or something huge i think it's i think it's up there it's pretty sad uh no one no one comes in this room does hayley have access to the computers
Starting point is 01:15:20 girls don't watch porn anyway no girl has ever seen any porn here we go stir that stirred the crowd access to the computers. Girls don't watch porn anyway. No girl has ever seen any porn. Here we go. That stirred the crowd. You're keeping me quiet. You're doing good. I'm excited to see you, dude. I'm pumped.
Starting point is 01:15:37 Thank you, bro. Yeah. I feel like I know you. I'm excited to see your whole team. Tell everyone I can't wait. For some reason, Emma Carey fell through the cracks and it's completely inappropriate and that's my fault i text her a few times um uh and but i also text samuel cornway a few times until i and then i finally had to dm him because he's like dude you're not texting me i had the wrong number wow okay okay so tell emma Wow. Okay. Okay. So tell Emma, like, like I recognize her as a global superstar, uh, badass. And, and I, if she, I mean, if she, if she didn't answer me, I understand. But if she
Starting point is 01:16:12 thinks for some reason I didn't invite her absolute bullshit, dude, I'll tell her, I'll tell her, uh, if you're going to get her on, it's gotta be tomorrow. Cause she leaves Friday before us, but, uh, I bet she'd love to come on. She would. Yeah. I bet you. I couldn't speak for her, but I bet she'd totally do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:30 I only keep her like 15 minutes. She said she only if Anita is going to be here. Anita. Oh, Oh, is that one of the dirty ones? Wad zombie. James shows your search history. You won't dare.
Starting point is 01:16:40 Dan Guerrero. Someone show us, by the way, I had a great time with you and your family. Wad zombie. Dan Guerrero. Someone show us how good you are with uh tech again this is hey do you know who i uh exchange with today um um scott vandersloot who's that that's the the um head video guy over at mayhem. Oh, cool. Heck yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:06 Yeah, so he's like, hey, I heard you're coming to the games. And we exchanged pictures of our gear. Dude, that's like some intimate shit. Like you and Dalin, you're like bragging like, yeah, me and Dalin share each other's scores. We really want each other to. He's like, yeah, that mic will work. Good setup. Oh, I like that idea.
Starting point is 01:17:20 Like we were like, it was inappropriate the way we were loving on each other's cameras. My wife might not like it because she understands the. No, I like that idea. Like we, we were like, it was inappropriate the way we were loving on each other's cameras. My wife might not like it. Cause she understands the, uh, no, I like that. I really like your, your love for what you do.
Starting point is 01:17:32 And I think that you should share that with other humans who love the same thing and you can be happy together. And he loves God too. All my friends love God. That's awesome, dude. Yeah. And he was,
Starting point is 01:17:41 he was so, it was cool. I'm, I'm, I'm part joking, but it's like, it's, it was,
Starting point is 01:17:44 I was flattered that we were sharing camera pictures. Yeah, I love that. I mean with my other passions, I like to like talk to other investors and cryptocurrency and talk to other personal trainers. It's like whatever you have in common. It's fun to talk about. You're still doing crypto? Oh, yeah. I'm balls deep.
Starting point is 01:18:02 Hey, I would like to get a firsthand look at how balls deep you are when I'm up in Idaho. Let's just sit around and talk about that. Let's do it. I'm in. School me up. School me up to death. I'm very serious about you coming over at least one night. You have to come at least one.
Starting point is 01:18:15 Yeah, I will. Okay, and come do a workout across the Coeur d'Alene. How are you with kids? My kids are going to just love you to death. They're going to think you're a jungle gym. Okay, they're going to think you're a jungle gym. That'd be awesome. James, what's your threshold for kids you're like i love kids for five minutes
Starting point is 01:18:27 20 minutes an hour um i would i'm not in a place where i could be a dad yet but i do enjoy pouring into other other young people my kids love the athletes when hillers around they go nuts yeah bonkers i love that they might start wearing short shorts after spending time with james oh no i'm i'm trying to um only wear the long wit ones because the those look too creepy on me they look like undies bro there was one day matt matt literally thought i just had underwear on he was like this isn't good. Oh. This is good. Jessica Valenzuela. James say, and I can't say that. So there are some things I won't read.
Starting point is 01:19:12 There's two words I don't say on this show anymore, and that's one of them. What's the other? My mom doesn't want me to say that word. I can't say the other word either. Maybe someone will type it in the chat for you. I haven't said it in the, yeah, I'm sure someone will. I haven't said it in a long, long time. I don't say it anymore. Dude, your people are dirty. I moved to North Carolina, so I'm in a totally different location. But the picture that used to be behind me is now in front of me, so I can look at it, and none of those other people can.
Starting point is 01:21:53 This one used to be in my kitchen. It's by the same guy. Awesome. I like the lower one-fourth of it we could see there. There's an Emily Rolfe card, and I didn't even bring it up on the Emily Rolfe podcast. I got hers back here somewhere too. It's over there.
Starting point is 01:22:08 Are you going to bring your cards and have them signed? It seems like a lot of work. No, absolutely not. You don't have time for that. Or interest. I don't, I don't,
Starting point is 01:22:16 I've never, I've never been interested in having anyone sign anything really. Me neither. That's why it's so fascinating. Now I finally do. Are you going to bring yours? Do you think you have more than me?

Starting point is 01:23:12 Patrick Bellner. Colton Mertens. OG card. This one lives on my desk. Lives on your pillow. Ben Smith. Legends. The Machine.
Starting point is 01:23:28 Jason Hopper. Do you like that picture on Jason Hopper's card? Daniel Brandon. No, I don't like that picture. Yeah, I like it. It's okay. I don't like this picture on Daniel Brandon's. Emily Rolfe.
Starting point is 01:23:44 I would pick different pictures, personally. Did I mention I have Dallin Pepper? Do I have Dallin twice? Double Dallin? I'm still waiting for one that you have that I don't. Alexis Raptus. Look at this. This is where I kick ass. Look at this.

You went to the home of one of the apostles, Brian? St. Francis of Assisi. Bernie Gannon got it, yes. That's who I think it is. He was not one of the apostles. Next to those cards,
Starting point is 01:25:21 I have a chocolate penis and a Tupac statue. We have the same card collection. Perfect. That's nice. All right. Thank you, guys. I'm going to enjoy some light. You guys are awesome. Caleb, thanks again.
Starting point is 01:25:35 I'll see you guys tomorrow morning. It's going to be crazy. Tomorrow morning, it's a weird group of dudes. Colton Mertens, Jack Farlow, Will Morad, for all different reasons. We're a trippy cast of characters. Jack Farlow, Will Morad, for all different reasons. We're a trippy cast of characters. Then 11 a.m. will be the biggest show of the year.
Starting point is 01:25:55 You do not want to miss Scribble and Scratch with Dre R. and Taylor. It is going to be unbelievable. 11 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. And I'm not just saying that. You're going to hear stuff. You're going to hear stuff. I heard a rumor. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:14 You're going to hear some rumors. And then in the evening, oldest Upenex at 6.30 p.m. Did they just announce an event? Is that true? Whatever this guy just said? Unsporty Beth? Will said it also also too, I think the event schedule got released.
Starting point is 01:26:30 I have to check up on what's been announced. Are you going over there, Mr. Beaver? Oh, here we go. Mr. Beaver? Yep. Very good dude. Helen, a decade of greatness. Scratch and Sniff show. Scratch with the nose. Scribble and Scratch.
Starting point is 01:26:50 That's all I was laughing at. I don't see a schedule. Oh, my God. Look at this. CrossFit published Daddy's Back. Wow. Thank you, CrossFit Games. Shelby Neal.
Starting point is 01:27:02 Oh, hi. Hi. What? What? you crossfit game shel shelby neal hi oh hi hi what are we looking at he's laughing at what you said i like shelby neal she's cool uh uh best thing that's happened to yeah wow people are this is a nice um uh welcoming hit us on instagram everything's nice on instagram no the uh events how can you tell what order these posts are even coming i'm on instagram i don't see him yeah what the heck will
Starting point is 01:27:38 you liar that was a lot that was a lie but dude look what this they announced that the behind the scenes is happening. So a part of me doesn't really believe I'm going to do it, even though, like, I have a hotel room. We all reposted that today for you. Oh, that's cool. Hey, look, I commented. Oh, they took it down already.
Starting point is 01:27:58 It's on. Yeah, it was either going to be that or I'm not surprised. They took down the schedule. Are you telling me the schedule was up? Oh, there were typos. Check the chat. We got a screenshot. Oh, do we?
Starting point is 01:28:09 No, no, no. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. Don't put that up. I don't want to get in trouble. I'm cool. Oh, wow. Okay.
Starting point is 01:28:17 Good job. Man, this chat is beastly. Holy cow. Greed this. So that's the only... Oh, Nelly, even I see the mistake. Wow, that's funny. That's great.
Starting point is 01:28:33 That's good. Hey, I ain't hating. Love good spelling error. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so it doesn't look like there's any... It doesn't look like there's any it doesn't look like there's any um thing that we shouldn't show on here or that we shouldn't talk about right regarding what just the start times
Starting point is 01:28:56 like it says um um there's the thursday it starts at 10 a.m no 11 15 for individual wow that means probably going to be a very busy day in general because all 29 divisions or 27 divisions are competing that day you want me to pull it up meaning individual uh these pictures i don't think you should okay it's the only day it's uh that all i believe there are 18 age group divisions, six adaptive divisions. That's 24 divisions that all end that day. And then the elite teams, men and women, start that day. So the logistics of the schedule for that day are extremely difficult. And regardless of when the individuals go, I would say on campus,
Starting point is 01:29:42 that's probably going to be the longest start to end time of things happening all day. Oh, yeah, and before the cuts start too. Oh, Will just schooled me too. Individual women start at 8.30 a.m. Okay, thank you for that correction. Hey, another thing is, have you met JR's? What's going on with the lady who trains at JR's gym?
Starting point is 01:30:01 The lady who's the number one qualifier in the neurological division? Correct. I think her name is Noelle. Have you met her yet? I have not. Got to get her on. What's up, Cobra? I have a question.
Starting point is 01:30:19 Oh, Rose, what's up, dude? It's titled the multi-extremity division this year. That's what it's labeled as. multi-extremity division this year. That's what it's labeled as. Multi-extremity? Yeah, there was some controversy with that change this year. They changed the name of that, and I don't think that all the adaptive community liked the changes that were made or maybe the way that they were communicated.
Starting point is 01:30:40 I want to apologize on behalf of the Sevan podcast for using the wrong terminology. I want to blame J.R. because J.R. called it neurological, and therefore I absolved myself of all my sins. Oh, multi-extremity. Oh, yeah, Noelle Henderson. Hey, see how she's at the top? Is that the way it is for all of the categories? If you see someone at the top, they're the highest ranked? No.
Starting point is 01:31:02 No, it's actually – i believe that the way it's listed right now is in the reverse order of when they signed up so the first person that signed up is i think at the bottom oh okay or at least that that's how they populate and then i don't i don't know if they've sorted it since then uh barry mccawkin or savon cannot have make fun of hq anymore how dare you someone Someone ban Barry. You're in time, Hal. Please climb out. Okay.
Starting point is 01:31:32 Oh, I only have 10 minutes left. I love you guys. Bye. Everyone, see you guys tomorrow morning. Brian, thanks. Sousa, thanks for coming on Save the Day. Caleb, sorry that my power went out or whatever. Bye-bye.
