Starting point is 00:02:26 a cancer survivor, and talked about like pulling out her fake titties. Dave Castro in, in the house, the director of the CrossFit games, oldest employee at CrossFit director of training has more power today than he's ever had in CrossFit. I mean,
Starting point is 00:02:40 he was the CEO for a brief stint, but under Greg, he was just the head of the games and training with co-chair with Nicole. Now he's both. We had Russell Berger on. I don't know if Russell's done anything hugely popular podcast. If you haven't seen that, people are fucking losing their shit.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Amanda Barnhart, amazing guest. Shut Up and Scribble, the premiere show on programming with Get With The Programming, the two premiere shows in the space. Cool story. Took her L1.
Starting point is 00:03:30 David, the affiliate owner with the most open signups. Cruising. Fighting with Daniel Brandon. Via Rad. Fingering the CEO of Rad. It'll get him. I mean dude i mean dude i like their shoes susan likes his shoes so i diddle him gently gently lovingly i just i just uh um I just can't get over myself. I'm just going to say it. Oh, we know.
Starting point is 00:04:10 We know. A lot to be stoked about. We know. You arrogant fuck. And you're welcome. I'm not even – Sousa, we're not even trying. I'm not like, oh, well, let's paste let me let me let's paste this out

No, no, dude. No, no, no. It's me just texting Susan mad all day. Can you invite this person? Can you invite this person? Can you invite this person with no fucking thought other than, oh my God, this chick, I walked by his chick, Denise Moore,
Starting point is 00:04:56 and she told me she had cancer. Fuck, I want to hear that story. And the funniest thing too is almost all those were all rescheduled shows. Oh, just because it's been chaos, right? Because when you got stuck in two days traveling out to… Oh, where did I go? Idaho? Oh, yeah, the hoe. So, like, yeah, there is no…
Starting point is 00:05:20 No, they were all on the schedule, of course, and things just shuffled around, and that's just the playlist. No, they were all on the schedule, of course, and things just shuffled around. And that's just that's just the playlist. Innovating, innovating, Wadapalooza, the behind the scenes, just fucking exploding. Someone someone wrote on somewhere on on a few days ago, someone wrote somewhere on the Internet. Isn't the Savant podcast gone stagnant? I just wrote. Are you retarded? What?
Starting point is 00:05:46 Stagnant. Savant, gone stagnant? I just wrote, are you retarded? What? Stagnant? Savant, you're humbly arrogant. I just so... Humbly, of course. I'm so over-stimmed right now. I'm rubbing my legs like I did when I was the first time I did Molly. I'm just stimmed out of control. Just so stimmed.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Brooke Entz. Yeah, Brooke Entz is coming on. I fucked that up. Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm just stimmed out of control. Just so stimmed. Brooke Entz, yeah, Brooke Entz is coming on. I fucked that up, but she's coming. Yeah, we'll get her back on. Diverse, diverse, everyone's welcome here, even people who do blackface. Real black people, fake black people, wannabe black people.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Everyone's all, yeah, legend in my own mind. Thank you. It's crazy. It is... Okay. Bruise and a hip? Just ejaculated.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I just pre-gummed a little. Okay. Thank you. It's okay. Thank you. Thank you. You sound like my wife. She's always like,
Starting point is 00:06:40 pats me on the back. It's okay. It's okay. Just breathe. It's okay. Yeah.. It's okay, yeah. The real question is, what would happen if this show wasn't here? What would you guys be stuck with? Go over to the other channels and check it out.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Yeah. Fuck. I won't do that to you. Don't worry. The news. I'm so... You know what it is, too? I'm so stimulated by this news show.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Like, I'm really... Speaking of humbled, I'm really humbled by it because I suck at it, but I'm working on it. I think it's good. I'm going to get better. Daniel on the show tonight. You know what I mean? Everything you do, you just hit a line and then you go, go, go. Just too many ums and uhs and my fucking Instagram keeps telling me I'm blocked and shit. I don't worry about the ums and uhs and in my fucking instagram is like keeps telling me i'm blocked and shit i don't worry about that so it's so ghetto
Starting point is 00:07:30 uh this is the dave castro weekend review i could i could send um danielle a uh want me to send her a link i'll send her a link why not see what happens yeah here we go. She told me not to invite her anymore, but then she said that it wasn't me she was telling that to. Maybe she's upset because I do the – shit, where's my – oh, copy. Maybe she's upset. Where's my – Oh, what was that? Nope. It's nothing. Oh, what was that? Nope. We're just going through all the sound effects now? I'm trying to find, don't I have a, it's so deep.
Starting point is 00:08:15 It's so deep. I love that one. I hate that. Deep. Hello? Oh, shit. Something's not right. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Oh, no. It's the second page. Hello? Oh, shit. Something's not right. Oh, no. Oh, no. Hello? Hello? Hold on. It's the second page. And then it's like... Hello? Hello? Oh. There you go. Okay. Yeah. Oh. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:10:21 colorado i'll get to that in a minute but i was there for actually less than 24 hours i just text danielle the link and i said come say hi should i say please no that's too desperate no yeah you're looking she likes it oh i could write bitch come say hi bitch she likes it she likes kind of she likes yeah she likes it she likes yeah she likes a little toxicity in her life right or even hit it with the now come say hi she likes a little toxicity in her life, right? Or even hit it with the now. Come say hi. She likes a little toxicity. Just a little. Just keep things interesting. Damn, where is my... It's so deep.
Starting point is 00:10:59 It's so deep. Oh, my God. I'm panicking. I found it. You can't even tell. It's so deep. You can see how deep it is oh my gosh oh my gosh okay dave cash our weekend review here we go he's already taken some notes he's already interrupted this show here we go this is the way i like to travel in and out and uh well i cover that later. That's the way he likes to travel in and out. In and out. Uh, let's go into comments and you can swim at, and you can swim now at you can swim a training summit would be amazing yearly would no doubt help raise standards and education levels.
Starting point is 00:11:35 I could see that if run well, hundreds, if not thousands would attend. I agree. We're definitely looking at doing a trainer summit and I'm laughing because someone a few weeks ago commented how I always say we're definitely looking at or considering. But it's the truth. We are. So I hope we can pull it off this year, later in the year. So, yes, a training summit would be amazing. What's it like just for all trainers? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:57 Similar to like the CrossFit for health thing, but focused around training more so than the health aspect. Oh. Yeah. I had a bad joke. Like an affiliate gathering, trainers gathering. Yeah. Doctors gathering. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Gathering of people who love Danielle Brandon. Gathering of people who love Rad Shoes. That's the show. Gathering of people who want to play victim. Guys, see. It was great seeing you and CFHQ main figures in the CrossFit Health Summit. As a physician and CFL2 fired me up
Starting point is 00:12:29 to keep fighting the chronic diseases. At Lizard Only Queen. Hi, Dave. I really enjoyed the Health Summit. I wish CrossFit could do more of this. As a trainer, this will help me to engage about more health with the athletes and the ones who still hesitate
Starting point is 00:12:41 to join CrossFit. Everything that was presented are things that are important in our discussion in the CrossFit community. And then there was another one. I'll also say that second to none, this podcast did 99% of the promotion for the Health Summit too,
Starting point is 00:12:56 which we were not paid for. Right. Which we were not paid for. Just think about that. All these people thanking, Don talking about it on the cock uh cock and balls podcast uh this like it's like dude like no one promoted that like that was 99 promoted by us yeah for no money we did those were our worst shows promotions for that were our worst shows oh that was it so a lot of yeah a lot of comments about it dave a lot of comments about
Starting point is 00:13:28 a lot of comments yeah a lot of comments dave we gotta have a conversation around that comments on the trainer summit there was more but i just have those three that i'm talking about here um and since the week after or a couple weeks after it's been uh it's been cool to see the excitement that's carried on from that. So really good, really good event. Really cool. No, it doesn't stick in my craw. I just enjoy the fact that Karin has thanked me profusely. She was in charge of putting it on.
Starting point is 00:14:02 But Don and Davele ride ride the unicorn that i gave birth to so like they're like out there yes we love the hell son but like there would have been half as many people if it wasn't for the fucking savant podcast and so it's just it's just like hold on let me see oh sorry text message just came from don thanking me for the free promotion oh what a guy good dude he's probably fresh off the cock and balls podcast it doesn't stick in my craw i'm just like i'm just happily uh arrogant and proud of my like if they're gonna like thank the hell summit then i'll be like yeah like if they were like the hell summit sucked i'd be like but they fucking loved it and uh and i was fucking i'm glad i was able to help
Starting point is 00:14:48 karen promote it and uh dave and nicole and don can can take the the the whatever seeing people still talking about it and fired up by it and the impact it can have on their training and on their clients and in their lives at john JohnGeorge9423, hey, Dave, great show. You seemed really amped about the benefits associated with Army program you're working on. You discussed the benefits of the soldiers that carry over from this type of training. You mentioned some of those key benefits. When speaking with the upper level administration, do you ever question the diabetes rate amongst
Starting point is 00:15:20 the Army? Do they ever talk about these rates and costs associated with treating their personnel with diabetes? Seems like this may be a very big benefit with regards to health, and more importantly, potential cost savings by helping motivate and endorse health and well-being. I wouldn't say no. We have not talked about the diabetes rate in the Army. I don't even know what it is. I imagine it's probably not. It's probably not great, but, you know, here in the fire service, the rate of diabetes is pretty high.
Starting point is 00:15:46 But no, we don't talk about that in the discussions we have with the Army folks. Wouldn't you just talk about nutrition and that would be, in essence, talking about diabetes? You mean if you're going to make an impact or a change in the Army? I mean, diabetes is caused from – Please say type 2 diabetes. Please, please. Okay, okay, okay. Settle down. I got you.
Starting point is 00:16:15 My pronouns are go fuck yourself. Type 2 diabetes, it's just a direct – It's not a correlate. It's a direct cause from – Yeah, obviously, I don't know what they're teaching. Are they teaching the full L1 in those courses? I don't know, but it's mostly focused on movement. I don't know, but if you talk about nutrition, you're talking about diabetes.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes. Yeah, and more importantly than talking about it would just be like what are they supplying them to eat like you can come like for the most part and you could for sure probably argue you could for sure probably argue that what they're feeding them is causing them diabetes right like we send them all on halloween candy and shit call it a good thing. Kenneth DeLapp, the diabetes would be a medical discharge.
Starting point is 00:17:17 I actually, I had a friend who has now passed who flew B-52 bombers. I think it's 52, 51, 52 bombers in Vietnam. It was shot down. Great story. I wish he was still alive to tell it. And he lived. And when he was getting medical treatment for that, they found out he had type one diabetes and they discharged him. I don't think they do that anymore. They need people. Yeah, I think the biggest thing that this would help with from the little bit that I know from
Starting point is 00:17:44 working with the Air Force, the special operations and air force, it's just anything they could do to reduce the amount of money it takes to get somebody through bootcamp. They're all about it because there's so much inactivity in a lot of the younger generation that's now signing up for the military that they get rolled out with like simple medical injuries, like shin splints and stuff like that from overuse just because they simply weren't very active as kids or didn't play sports or things like that so if they have the ability to train them in a better manner like back in the day they didn't have to worry about it that much so a lot of the guys that i worked with in the military showed up and they're like yeah there wasn't really a training protocol like you were just expected to show up ready to go and like
Starting point is 00:18:20 that's just not the case anymore so they might be more focused on that and injury prevention and getting more people to stay fit and healthy as they make it through bootcamp and on their career in the army. We've got to ask him next time. Next time he's on, are you talking to the infantry? I learned that today. Infantry. About nutrition. Vera 9636. hold on one second doug's caught up in my cord here let me clear this okay doug seems to interfere with a lot of shows
Starting point is 00:18:54 i think you and chad right should get together for youtube chat on various topics that both his and your audience can come together over crossfit firearms fitness in general time spent on the seal teams state of the country world etc ch et cetera. Chad will inspire your CrossFit audience, and it is no easy task to inspire the CrossFit audience. It is a win-win for all parties. So I don't know who Chad Wright is. Apparently, he's a SEAL who's pretty big on YouTube. But the thing is, I also don't run in that circle. Because I'm pretty quiet and don't talk a lot about that time, I'm not one of the go-to SEALs that people look to. And that's by design. I don't want to be known for that. As I've mentioned in other places,
Starting point is 00:19:29 I'm really proud of the fact that I'm not known as Dave Castro, the former Navy SEAL of the Navy SEAL. I'm known for what I've done since then and my work with CrossFit. And that means a lot to me. So from that, because I'm not really vocal about it, there is this like circle of SEALs who are more vocal and who kind of all run in the same circle and feed off of each other and help promote each other. Thankfully, I'm not in that circle and I don't want to be because I don't like, here's some of the things you mentioned. We talk about CrossFit. Sure. I'll talk about that. Talk about firearms. Sure. I'll talk about that. Fitness in general. Yes. Time spent on the SEAL teams. I'm not going to talk about that. So like right there, I'm out. State of the country in the world. Yeah, probably not going to with my position with CrossFit and
Starting point is 00:20:09 the way, like it or not, I'm a simple figure who people look to in one regard or another. If I take stances, political or social or whatnot, I have the potential to alienate groups of people within the CrossFit community. And I don't want to alienate anyone in the community or divide the community for things like that. If I alienate or divide people for my decisions regarding programming or for kicking people out of the sport for using drugs, that's okay. But for politics or social issues, I don't really want to talk publicly about that stuff. So I don't alienate people in our community hey this bitch ain't a pop seal he's not a pop seal i don't know if you like my opinion on this go ahead he is a pop seal
Starting point is 00:20:58 he's definitely not a pop seal no dave's a foundational guy so i feel like for him like the whole entire silent professional thing is something that he holds in deep regard like the old school seals from the vietnam era and like what they did in their whole like you just don't say shit i think he takes that but i'm wondering is dave's reluctancy to associate with those people due to his time in the seals harming what could be a potential um attention grabber for crossfit as a total uh maybe maybe but because like do you know who trad right is no it's a badass dude and he also rolled with like jesse itzler was buddies and i think he just recently broke the record on like this.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Oh, is that the one that I saw? I lived with Jess or Jesse Isler said, I lived with a Navy seal for 30 days and this is, or something like that. And it was David Goggins that he lived with before. Oh, it wasn't, it wasn't this right guy.
Starting point is 00:21:58 No, but he runs with this right guy. And there's this, um, maybe somebody will put it in the comments. Uh, it's like a, it's a race where
Starting point is 00:22:05 they just do it out in the back old country and it just goes on until the last man standing and you just run a mile loop every so often you have to get up and run it again and get up and run it again and like this dude chad wright did it for like three days in a row or something crazy right um so i do think that there is a lot of utility to those other SEALs because they preach the same type of stuff we do and loosely have the same values and different things like that. And so if I were just CrossFit the brand, I was never a Navy SEAL. So I look at them and I'm like, how do we leverage that to get more people into the affiliates? And if I'm reluctant to do that just because of the way that I feel about our past job together, is that actually beneficial to CrossFit or is that just serving myself and kind of the ethos that I'm rolling with?
Starting point is 00:22:51 Ironically, the paradox there is he doesn't want to serve himself. He doesn't want to serve. That's why he didn't want to do it in the beginning. Like he didn't want to. He didn't. You see the paradox there? Like he didn't. Totally.
Starting point is 00:23:04 He sniffs out that those dudes are doing it to serve themselves. Totally. And I, but here's the thing. I have no issue with somebody taking, saying, this is what I did in the past. And now I'm leveraging that in front of an audience to create a future. Dave doesn't like it because that's not what seals do. Right. So it's frowned upon in that community big time.
Starting point is 00:23:22 And, um, I'm not any, I think it's more than that because not anymore. It's not frowned upon anymore. Yeah, it's definitely changed. Right. I mean, like how many popular Navy SEALs, you know, I could think of like five right off the top of my head. But if you went back 10 years, I couldn't name I could name one Dave Cascio. And that was only because I really looked into him.
Starting point is 00:23:40 You had to kind of like dig to find that out. Right. He doesn't have in the bio of his instagram or anything um so yeah that's the only thing that i i definitely respect dave's opinion i don't i don't respect any of those i don't respect any of those guys who don't stand up for like your seal and you're and you're walking around like i don't i don't know let's say let's just use jocko i don't know what his politics are but if you have if you if you're going around, if you have opinions on things, more than opinions, if you know things that are facts and you're trying to be like an influencer and then you're not speaking about them because you don't want to divide, I think that's worse than just saying what Dave said. Like being like, hey, I don't want to alienate.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Like part of me is trying to run a business here and i'm not trying to alienate people with my opinions and so when i see those what comes with what those guys are i don't i don't know if i respect too many of those guys who didn't who didn't like that's why i like bear handling so much well wouldn't dave fall underneath the same category as jocko in that context uh except for the fact he's not leveraging his seal his sealed them and he's being honest but i don't but i don't know how how forthright jocko was about a lot of things but jocko's got jocko go to sell right right well he's got an energy drink he's got a selling company he's got a and gene company right i just think once you leverage that it comes with other shit that you should be prepared to do yeah fair enough and i don't fault dave for not wanting to be a pop seal at all by the way that
Starting point is 00:25:14 was just my thinking in terms of like putting it on as like crossfit the whole versus yeah dave's opinion on those guys right that was all so you think if he did roll well yeah i think you should leverage all that yep yeah so dave's jay like obviously rogan's part of that group dave was a regular on on rogue and it would be good for the whole cross yeah it'd be great for are you kidding me be insane if he got post malone to do a crossfit workout with him i won't name his other celebrity friends because that might alienate some people but all those people right if he leveraged all those people, are you just chugging his olive oil right now?
Starting point is 00:25:47 Yeah, yeah, maybe. So like if he would have, so, so like if he, if he, like, if he showed him and Donald Trump Jr. working out together. Fucking be great. Who's his homie? Who's his buddy?
Starting point is 00:25:59 It's his buddy. It's his buddy. But I'd prefer maybe Post Malone if we're trying to talk about- D. Trump Jr. Yeah, yeah. But I think prefer maybe post Malone if we're trying to talk about D D Trump junior. Yeah. Yeah. But I think that that type of stuff is important. Anybody who is naturally already doing CrossFit that has an audience,
Starting point is 00:26:12 they should come under the umbrella of CrossFit. The CEO of this company and the, and the head of training and the head of the games had a job where they had to kill people. Other human beings. Yeah. It's wild. What's your job? I kill bad guys.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Oh, my God. I'm a serial killer, legally. 007. Dave is as close as you get to 007 yeah he's a fucking real life 007 he's not as close as you could get like like he is him you know it's funny quick story when dave met my arrow oh go ahead when dave met grace uh we were driving home and she's like man dave is so like nice and like gentle like he walked up up and was like, hi, and was like super warm and like, you know, whatever when he when he met her and introduced himself. And I was like, yeah, you know, it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:27:11 And she goes, what? I was like, he's a freaking serial killer. It like blew her mind, right? Like, you don't know. I don't know what he did in his last job, but I know that you wouldn't want to be on the other end of that rifle. know that you wouldn't want to be on the other end of that rifle you think i could you think i could have dawn on and it be like the when the last time dave was on like just chill like that just in studio i think you i think we have to have him on like that and just to just shoot the
Starting point is 00:27:38 shit like don't even like talk like i don't even want to i just i don't even want to talk to him about cross i just want to talk to him about like how many chicks he dated when he's in the Marines and what's the hardest part about raising daughters. Yeah, yeah. Just go, you know what I mean? When's the last time you cried? I will say this. What contraception do you and your wife use?
Starting point is 00:27:57 I just want to talk to him like bros, like dudes. Yeah, I would say this. The brief time I got to spend with him in a setting of that sort you know no cameras on to shoot the shit you would have a great time with him yeah he's cool uh he was i've always enjoyed him on the podcast but he was cool shit at the games he was a homie super cool and obviously he has a role to play with his job as ceo so he's not going to come on here and have those same conversations but if you do get a chance to just have a candid conversation with Don, you'll come away liking him a lot.
Starting point is 00:28:29 Should I send Don a link right now too? Oh, Danielle just takes me back. I'll be on in five. Awesome. Yep. Hang in there guys. Five more minutes. We're switching only to members only.
Starting point is 00:28:43 So become a member in the next five minutes. Look at Dave's dog just smashing his face. He's like smelling. Someone farted there earlier, and he's just got his face in it just getting the scent. But anyways, thanks for that comment. At Vindicate8363, Thunder Village is rumored to be in 11 to 15 minute walk from the
Starting point is 00:29:07 arena at Will Rogers Memorial center. True. How will that play out for the vendors? And then there was a few other comments after that. It won't be, it's not 11 to 15 minutes. It's a few hundred yards away. Hey,
Starting point is 00:29:16 get down, Doug, Doug. No. Good girl. It's a few hundred meters away. So it's a wild... I was wondering if that was okay, dog on the couch.
Starting point is 00:29:28 I was wondering if that's a dog couch. That's a negative. It's not right next to it. It's going to be a different feeling. Yeah, yeah. He'd start talking like that if he hung out with like Jocko and the other dude. He did when he moved the headphone cord. Oh, what'd he say?
Starting point is 00:29:41 Did you catch that? He goes, I just had to clear this headphone cord. Yeah. Negative. negative ghostwriter um then yeah uh yeah he got a tranny dog doug is a girl dog he got a tranny dog i mean what he's telling you the guys the guy's a fucking um uh thespian no uh what's that called when like you can do anything renaissance man tranny dog what we had in madison but it's still going to work out well and it's still going to be very effective and we're also programming and creating the schedule i've been working a lot on the schedule the past few weeks with big breaks in between certain times where they where we will um i don't say drive people but encourage people to go over to that area because we're also going to have crossfit experience type things out there
Starting point is 00:30:31 we're going to have workouts we're going to have instructional moments and so the vendor village will be a big um experience crossfit experience for those to engage in and actually also that whole section is going to be free to the public. So we're going to encourage people from the local area, or if you just want to come and you don't have a ticket, but you still want to be part of the whole scene. Hey, so you could not do that in Los Angeles. One year you could. And not now you couldn't.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Not now you couldn't, but I remember the year they switched it and it completely changed it, dude. Made it better? Fuck no. Oh, it made it worse. it dude made it better fuck no oh it made it worse vendor village yeah yeah so so when they blocked off the public it made it worse no when public wasn't a lot made it better when it was tucked back and then you were just with the crossfit homies yeah that was a special time like 2011 12 13 games like and even madison the
Starting point is 00:31:23 vendor village was it was amazing. Oh, yeah. Vendor Village was great. But that's not open to the public. You still need a ticket to get past that to get into Vendor Village. Right. And the first year, I remember, I think it was the last year they had it at Carson is when they made Vendor Village open to the public. So it sat outside of the campus.
Starting point is 00:31:40 And did that fuck it up? And it looked like fucking Disneyland. You can hit by strollers and shit everywhere. Yeah, it was completely different, dude. You could not do that now today in LA. People would be getting robbed and shit. Oh, they would fucking just rob. Yeah. No way, dude.
Starting point is 00:31:55 No way. Hey, I went to a jiu-jitsu tournament in San Francisco this past weekend. It was the part, I don't know where the fuck I was, but it was the most beautiful place I'd ever been. As I say, which portion were you? you like by the unit was at the university i think it was either university of san francisco or san francisco state or it was so so you were like south san francisco yeah it was like golden gate bridge almost it was surrounded by two million dollar homes that were 600 square feet each three thousand two million dollar homes that are
Starting point is 00:32:22 only 600 square feet each like it was nice by the better is super nice. Yep. Fuck. It was nice. I Be JJF San Francisco. Yeah. Yeah Fuck my boys kicked ass Are you going to the games someone yet if I get floor access If I get floor access I'll go get floor access, I'll go. If not, no, I will not go. I will not go. I need things. I have needs.
Starting point is 00:32:52 To go there and do things. So it is true that it is not right there in Coliseum. It's a few hundred yards away, but we're still going to make it. It's not a 15-minute walk or 11-minute walk unless you weigh 600 pounds and are 5'2". It is 200 yards away. A central part of the event. So VinDK, I think you're a sponsor or you've done booths before. So that's why he's probably concerned.
Starting point is 00:33:15 He's a Finna vendor. We're going to make it worth the while. VNDKA. Get your CEO shirt now and your beanie. Beanies are dope. I want a yellow one. Oh, nice. All right.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Oh, I got a yellow one. Actually, Grace stole the yellow one already, but it was for her. I didn't get a yellow one. I want a yellow one. I wonder why you didn't send me a yellow one. Did you think it wasn't appropriate for me? I don't know. I don't like that tag on there either.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Did you see your tag on there? It says it's tag on there it says it yeah i'm sustainable i'm sustainable yeah how about fuck you how about i don't give a fuck this product has been designed with a sustainable mindset by using a certified material and production process with lower impact on the environment shut the fuck up and how much and what about this this is just more damage to the environment how about if you really gave a shit you wouldn't print this tag you fucking douche i know that's not travis's fault but that's what it is god forbid we'd be practical that's why you just know it's virtue signaling all for for all those who are setting up there. And we got some cool little twists with the schedule and with the games.
Starting point is 00:34:32 So did you see that was like an Illuminati sign if you were a conspiracy theorist? Did you see what he just did right there, that little thing with his hand? We got some cool little twists with the schedule and with the games. Little twist, Dave. Triplet, guys, triplet. Cool, that we've never done before. Oh, and the pinky, the devil sign. the games. Little twist, Dave. Triplet, guys.
Starting point is 00:34:45 Triplet. Cool. That we've never done before. Oh, and the pinky. The devil sign. We're not ready to talk about. That I think will be a really unique experience. So I'm super fired up right now about programming and planning and setting up the games.
Starting point is 00:34:57 I started playing with the schedule a few weeks ago, and that creative juice and flow started flowing. And I'm excited. Creative juice. SebastianE4381 castro how do you feel about what's happened in the military from kicking out those that refused to say i said it's like doing like the blood yeah yeah that dude he's getting all of these just hitting everyone section to trans influencers marketing our armed forces to dei and esg initiatives how about the afghanistan withdrawal do you consider how that might look to be working with them without taking a stand for the damage Lloyd Austin's leadership
Starting point is 00:35:27 has caused? So to my point earlier, there's a lot of that stuff I'm not going to dive into because it'll be highly controversial and polarizing. But I will say this, there are a ton of great and amazing people in the army and the armed services, armed forces in general. And I feel like we have an opportunity to help them and we do through this effort. And we're working with some great humans and some great people and some great warriors on this. And I'm really honored to be involved with this effort and excited.
Starting point is 00:35:57 And actually I was gonna talk about it at the end, but I'll just talk about it now. We were just in Fort Carson with Command Sergeant Major Holland. He's the Command Sergeant Major of FORSCOM. FORSCOM is in charge of all the operational units of the Army and the Reserves and the Guard. So he's the senior enlisted of over 700,000 soldiers and the senior E9. So he asked us to come out and do some training with 4th ID, who's Aaron Carson,
Starting point is 00:36:23 and some of the senior leadership team from that division. And so we conducted a little event, some workouts, and then we had a talk at the end. And it was a really good experience and just showing them what we're doing and how we're trying to empower the soldiers and equip them with the tools to be able to perform functional movements at intensity safely and effectively. So I flew in last night for that trip, flew in. I left around 10 from San Jose so I could land in Denver and then drive to Colorado Springs in time to watch the Super Bowl, watch the Super Bowl. One of the Niners to win. I'm not a Niners fan, but it's a local team. So one of them to win,
Starting point is 00:36:59 they did not. And then we conducted the training early this morning. And then this afternoon I had a flight back. And so I just landed about an hour ago, an hour and a half, two hours ago. And I drove straight here to film this. Always listen. This is why this guy's a fucking beast, man. It was a one day trip. He's got to leave. He's got family.
Starting point is 00:37:23 And he's always traveling. He's supporting the the mill the base of CrossFit and then you got the Ridgeline Realtor Colorado living I live 20 minutes from Fort Carson and he dropped into CrossFit something something something and he
Starting point is 00:37:38 always does that this dude is a beast this dude is a leader Susan would like to see him go on Rogan more This dude is a beast. This dude is a leader. Sousa would like to see him go on Rogan more. As it'd be a regular on Rogan. But Sousa just wants more people into his affiliate so he can make more money so he can buy more hats for Grace. That's right.
Starting point is 00:38:03 More beanies. All right. for uh grace that's right more beanies all right this weekend reviewing and actually to pick up doug because she's she was hanging out here at the ranch so that's why she's all close to me right now she missed me um oh while i was there i also stopped at a crossfit gym on the way back so from colorado springs i was driving back to the airport in denver and there's a crossfit gym called crossfit ncs and it's right off the highway. So I stopped by and said hello and met the trainer and met a couple of clients. One of the clients was a police officer and had a great time just chatting with them and showing support for what they're doing. And the trainer was a young kid. He seemed really enthusiastic about learning and growing and developing.
Starting point is 00:38:40 See, even that could seem polarizing that he was hanging with a police officer and bonded with a police officer. Some people could think that's polarizing. I mean, seriously. I mean, I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But that's the extreme side of it, right? I don't know. Those same people already hate him because he has a gun account.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Fair enough. The trainer, and so had all the right traits and characteristics you need to succeed as a CrossFit trainer. Alexander E93. Hi, Dave. Just signed up for my first open while building a CrossFit-type home gym. Are the open workouts designed to be manageable to do at home, at least to the stage of quarterfinals? This thought made me question my registration in the last years. Thanks for your efforts in the sport we do. Yes, they are manageable to do at home. Are they necessarily designed to do at home? I would not say they're designed to do at home, but you can easily do them at home with the right equipment.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Obviously, you need a few things to do crossfit, especially to do something like the open. Last year at the fucking Super Bowl, Rihanna wiped her pussy and smelt her hand during the Super Bowl as part of her performance
Starting point is 00:39:54 not like Rich Froning where he's just like fixing his nuts dude like you know right before he does Grace he's like no she did this dude the international symbol for fiddling the fucking the the the the thing what's that thing called i don't know i'm not brushed up on my anatomy my mom watches this show she did the man in the canoe and then
Starting point is 00:40:19 maybe it itched i am concerned that maybe it's just because i'm old i am concerned i am a little concerned isn't the right word i'm i'm open to it but i've just never seen anyone rub their vagina and smell their hand like as part of their showmanship unless it was like some will ferrell comedy right like you're like i could see will ferrell being like good to go yeah yeah yeah like but it was part of her I remember where I was Like when the trade center was hit When Ronald Reagan was shot Like I remember Greg was sitting on a couch at his house watching Super Bowl
Starting point is 00:41:17 I was standing up behind him and I said Was that a jet that just hit the towers? No, sorry Did Rihanna just rub her pussy With the international diddle symbol and smell her hand? Hey, listen, listen. Listen, someone said, why are you bringing this up? Dude, why are you talking about this? Dude, this happened on the biggest event in TV history last year.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Up until that date, that was the biggest moment in TV. What do you mean, why am I talking about it? Hello, Jeffrey. White privilege. Yeah, I guess that is white privilege. Oh, my gosh. She opened with a song that was Bitch Better Have My Money. I just...
Starting point is 00:42:01 Either I got really old or something happened. Something's happened. Maybe it's a little bit really old or something happened. Something's happened. Maybe it's a little bit of both. Something happened. A little bit. Both knobs got turned. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:14 What knobs? Both knobs? I said both knobs got turned a little. Well in a CrossFit class than they are at home, but you can absolutely do them at home, especially if you have the knowledge on how to do the movement safely and correctly and if you have the right equipment. At Mind Over Matter 7127, why is there no occupational games?
Starting point is 00:42:35 As a former SEAL, I'm curious as to why... I think you're talking about me, not you. As a former SEAL, I'm curious as to why you don't put more of an emphasis on this. Yes, you are talking about me. Men and women who serve at the foundation of CrossFit, why are they not given a bigger platform we are definitely so we brought back the occupational game so uh stupid reason like
Starting point is 00:42:51 who cares what dave did it's like stupid like what if dave was like uh baked baked cookies as a kid what if he did that should we have like a baked cookie section for the games who cares what he did it's the fact that it's our first responders and it's the base and it's the most relevant use of crossfit from its origins if your if your life depends on your fitness and your health and your ability to perform at your highest level physically and mentally with mental acuity and emotional control then crossfit lifestyles for you. And that happens to be police officers, firefighters, and infantry dudes. That's the reason why. I agree with your sentiment, but your argument is stupid.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Okay, here we go. There's a way to compete, and we're going to have a second stage for them. Well, let me rephrase that. Not the actual occupational games or an occupational games event like the CrossFit Games. That's what you might mean with that statement. We're kind of easing back into it. So last year we did not have them in other years. We've had various forms of various expressions,
Starting point is 00:43:53 but this year we have occupational games. So you can sign up and identify as there's a whole list of, you know, military veteran, active duty, LEO, firefighter, EMS, first responder. So yes, we're doing it and there will be a second stage people can advance to and compete at another level with time. And as this grows, I would love to have an in-person event. I don't think this year we're going to do that. We're not, it's not, um, it's not a viable option with, uh, especially with all the changes we've made, kind of breaking other things off and the way especially with all the changes we've made,
Starting point is 00:44:25 kind of breaking other things off and the way we're setting the season up. This year, having an actual in-person event for the Occupational Games isn't a realistic option. I will say this about all things related to new divisions or new competitions that for years, I always thought the numbers in the open or the number of participants,
Starting point is 00:44:43 and especially when we used to make regions or regionals or break up the world, the number of people who sign up and are in a given area or a given category should dictate new divisions or not. We kind of honestly, and I was behind this, kind of broke that rule for the adaptive. And what I mean by that is adaptive divisions typically have really low numbers. Like there not a lot of people who um sign up in those divisions like a few hundred in some of them and so there's there's no way a few hundred dwarfs sign up dude there's no way let me tell you if you're a dwarf and you're upset at crossfit you're an asshole because the fact that they have a dwarf division there's no way there's got to be like 12 dude if that maybe only seven maybe oh no you're gonna get no you didn't suza getting why why that's my lucky number why
Starting point is 00:45:37 all right if you say that look at this uh matuthian holy shit matuthian drops the same day as 24.1 why didn't anyone tell me i didn't even know god that would be awesome is it really i saw some mock-ups for the logo we chose the logo a couple days ago or a couple weeks ago look good hey um i do want to say this let's keep the Matuthian thing up there if we pull this off this Taylor self versus the world
Starting point is 00:46:12 and it goes good Susan and I will immediately start looking for a fucking sponsor and maybe we'll ask Born Primitive again to do. We will take someone from that occupational games thing.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Like we'll take the two fittest, uh, uh, a mill guys, and we'll bring them out to Andy Hendel's place, CrossFit Charlotte. And we'll do another, we'll do an event with,
Starting point is 00:46:39 for those guys. I'm telling you, we will, or we'll pick the two fittest cops or we'll pick the cop versus the firefighter. We'll do something. Oh, that'd be cool. If we pull this off, we'll get another sponsor, fly those guys out.
Starting point is 00:46:49 We don't make any money on it, but we'll, we get crazy clout. You guys love us for it, which is even better than money. But we'll do that. I'm telling you. And we'll, and I'll, and brush their teeth. Yes. And I'll brush their teeth. They get toothed.
Starting point is 00:47:04 But toothian. You guys are going to be so... Every person who buys that is going to be like, why did I ever use paste? I'm excited to try it. I'll do it live. Live on Instagram, the first brush. Oh, that's good.
Starting point is 00:47:19 I filmed one of my kids using it for the first time. It was kind of risky. I should post it. It's good. Yeah, he loved it. He absolutely loved it. Yeah. Let's keep this in mind because they're gonna have they're gonna have two stages for the occupational games guys i guess and then let's pick some dudes and if we can pull it off get a sponsor and fly them out and do we could even have taylor versus our
Starting point is 00:47:39 first responders see if they can taylor can beat on them. Something. That's cool. We'll crown the fittest, the fittest. I don't know if we can use that, but we'll crown them. Actual them qualifying to the games. You're talking about a few hundred qualifying to the games rather than, you know, when you talk, there's hundreds of thousands of, of individual competitors. So I've always believed that numbers, participation should drive new divisions. And so to this point about the occupational games.
Starting point is 00:48:11 You know, Danielle's tempted. She's like, should I? Should I not? Should I? Should I send her another text and be like, we're still on a couple more minutes. Last chance. 50,000, 100,000 occupational athletes were signing up yeah i think that would support and signal maybe we should have an in-person event down the road and that's what i mean by
Starting point is 00:48:31 using the numbers just to support doing new things how is my reading of the bible going um it's going i'm enjoying it i just read uh i was reading on the way back, on the flight back, the David and Goliath story. So I'm in Samuel, the book of Samuel. And I'm learning a lot. I'm really enjoying the journey. I'm also not reading it like I read last year, where, like, I don't want to say I speed read. I don't speed read, but I just read a lot. And I just consume a lot of a book in a day. I'm not doing that with this.
Starting point is 00:49:02 I'm taking my time and enjoying it. And I actually have even a couple different books as companions to read after I read a book in a day. I'm not doing that with this. I'm taking my time and enjoying it. And I actually have even a couple of different books as companions to read after I read a book. And then I kind of go to those to get a better overview of the themes of the book and what it was about. I don't know if I talked about this, but I read a new international version and that was a whole journey, just figuring out which version of the Bible to read. But so I'm enjoying the journey. I'm glad I'm doing it. And I, I look forward to, it's already going to help me tremendously. And this was the intent and the reason why I did it. I mentioned this before, but in a lot of the other books I read, classics and whatnot,
Starting point is 00:49:35 there's a lot of references to biblical themes or to characters or to just the Bible in general. And for that, I wanted to be more educated on it so I can tie it all together better. And I think it's already helping tremendously in that. Next time he's on, I'm going to ask him if he thinks Jesus banged Mary Magdalene. Cause you know, you know, at that section,
Starting point is 00:49:59 he's like, he must've banged her. So he read some companion book. What was G like a, you know, a 300 page book, Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Did they banged her. So he read some companion book. What was G like a, you know, 300 page book, Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Did they bang?
Starting point is 00:50:08 Did they bang? Yeah. Oh, I also went on Stefan's podcast a few nights ago. Oh, you also went on my podcast a few nights ago. That's right. Oh,
Starting point is 00:50:15 wow. There we go. I, I enjoyed the callers and I appreciate their discussions, but I was not happy with the callers as a whole. And the fact that we spent so much time with callers and I appreciate their discussions, but I was not happy with the callers as a whole and the fact that we spent so much time with callers. And I told someone that and he doesn't agree with me. And maybe that's because they're fucking paying him.
Starting point is 00:50:32 Some of them are putting money into the thing. And zero callers pay me. That was a big conflation right there. Dave made a mistake. I don't believe it was intentional but zero callers paid me and um but i will not do that again like i went there to talk to someone and to have do you want to bet every three months and he said he'll never do that again like to with the call-in lines open right right conversation with seven he didn't like it because he got ass pounded about the games let me tell you something anyway anyway oh but that
Starting point is 00:51:14 wasn't even a caller that was like in the comments that was in the comments and maybe that's why he was like referring to that which is kind of funny but they did pay for that very handsomely thank you and i don't feel like we had a conversation i feel like we had a light conversation and we had a lot of discussion with his callers so i will do the show again with seven but it will be with seven and i'll take the phone and throw it out the fucking back door if i have to so we don't do callers because some of them in the beginning were just fucking bullshit they're just assholes fucking around and so like it just that was uh very close-minded dave became very close-minded he didn't like that very close he was fine listen he was fine with the callers he was fine he just he read too many comments saying that the people
Starting point is 00:51:55 hated the callers that was like a big bone of contention with people here's the thing i'll take full responsibility for it it was not the caller's fault it was that i let people talk too long that was it i should have just been hanging up on people are you gonna spit it out click and just I'll take full responsibility for it. It was not the caller's fault. It was that I let people talk too long. That was it. I should have just been hanging up on people. Are you going to spit it out, click, and just hang up? That's what I should have done. And it would have been funny.
Starting point is 00:52:14 And, like, you see Pedro over at Coffee Pods and Wads when he shuts people up on the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. With that game show thing. He mutes them. Like, that's the best part of the show, right? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So he doesn't even, like, I'm the expert.
Starting point is 00:52:26 I'm the king of fucking media. Like, I know. colors are bad he doesn't understand it's like dude like even a hand job is bad after four minutes and then you're not like oh hand jobs are horrible it's like no you just had one for 17 minutes that's why you hate it i think he didn't like it because it was out of his control maybe because he asked a bunch of times at the beginning like are you vetting these like how are we vetting these like he kept circling back to like if they're being vetted and you're like i'm not i'm just answering it look the seventh biggest dick in the comments even knows the calls were great mason mitchell mason mitchell calls were mostly great yeah he even knows okay yeah all right after i was like ah that was of whatever, like almost a waste of time.
Starting point is 00:53:06 But so that being said, if you were a caller and you're watching me on this, I still enjoyed some of the discussions. Oh, look, now he's backtracking. What a pussy corporate douche. But overall, and especially the callers who just kind of wasted our time. I didn't really appreciate that. Oh, please. Wasting your time. Time can't be wasted. Enjoy your life. So thanks, as always. Post your comments or your thoughts in the comment section. Hey, that show was great for Dave because Dave was really relaxed.
Starting point is 00:53:35 People got to see us chill and hang out. It was the nicest he's ever been on the show. That was an amazing brand spice for Dave. He's completely wrong. And I think it brand spice for Dave. He's he's completely wrong. And I think it was good for him next week. Yeah. Yeah. I think it was good for it was good for us to see him in a setting where it was like, how is he going to deal with something that's kind of awkward or a little weird?
Starting point is 00:53:57 Like that one guy that kept like talking, but didn't really say anything for a while. And it was like, OK, what like where is this going? You know, but I think that I think that it was was good it was cool to see him how he would handle that like you know sometimes you got lucky i mean people someone could have called in and done some crazy shit yeah could have i mean it's not vetted or anything right hopefully you've been quick on the hang up for that portion of it but dave this is jessica do you remember when you you you got me pregnant in the back of the 57 Chevy or your
Starting point is 00:54:27 sophomore year in high school? What did that call in the comment? That would have been a little weird. It would have been interesting to see how he handled himself. He didn't like it after it played into the CrossFit game video game. Good observation.
Starting point is 00:54:43 Oh, oh, oh. Because you caught on right away. You're like, I think this guy's screwing with us. And Dave was kind of giving him the benefit of the doubt and then realized right away, like, okay, this dude's just completely bullshitting. I need to just hang up. I was trying to let Dave...
Starting point is 00:54:59 Yeah, you're right. John George it was not I live you Sevan thank you I live you too we are one we are one
Starting point is 00:55:14 but it was boring he said something that was concerning to me on the show if you remember when we talked earlier about the prediction He said something that was concerning to me on the show. If you remember when we talked earlier about the prediction that I made about the CrossFit Open. You remember? No, were we talking like offline? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:41 So maybe we'll hold it for later. Can you tell me in the private chat? Just now in this show, he said something kind of that. No, no, no. In the show you guys did together. Oh, you mean about having multiple workouts and. No. Are you texting me a private chat?
Starting point is 00:55:59 Hey, I'm making episode two live. OK, cool. I put it in the private chat. So do you know how to do that?
