Starting point is 00:01:49 Lister said no one was injured in the fire. The estimated damage cost is unknown. Hopefully he didn't spend all of his money on the CrossFit sponsorship so that he can afford a rebuild and the increase in his insurance costs. As we know, the sad story of Myra from Training Think Tank passed away the other night in her sleep.
Starting point is 00:02:16 42, 43-year-old games athlete. Causes unknown, although reports are trickling in that it was some sort of blockage a clot a stroke or a heart attack our sister christina taylor writes for the last two years my sister has talked me into doing the crossfit open it would be fine she would say i have no business competing in anything crossfit related and before she, I said I was definitely not doing it this year. Well, here I am, doing the CrossFit Open again, but this time, instead of her by my side, she will be cheering me on from up above. When I feel like stopping, I will keep going for her. This one's going to hurt, but I will gladly feel the pain.
Starting point is 00:02:59 If there's a chance, I will feel closer to her. I hope you are proud of me, Tashi. I will do my best to convince others to sign up too, just like you would do. Love you forever, Christina. Beautiful, healthy Christina Taylor. Training think tank athlete. Passed away in her sleep. Her sister is going to do the open, what appears to be uh for the third time
Starting point is 00:03:30 wit do you guys remember wit it was some european english fancy gym space they were at the games one year there was some controversy there glassman got really pissed that it appeared that they looked like they were going to be selling training seminars and yet they were at the crossfit games i don't know if we ever got to the bottom of that story but i will tell you people were fired at crossfit hq uh because of the relationship with wit or at least that played a huge part in it maybe a straw that broke the camel's back inviting someone in who is a direct competitor of crossfit in the training space it looks like they are in some serious serious uh issues uh reports are saying that they owe two pood uh five thousand pounds approximately airwave about nine thousand pounds
Starting point is 00:04:23 approximately uh amex thirty thousand pounds approximately. Airwave about 9,000 pounds approximately. Amex, 30,000 pounds approximately. Starting point is 00:04:56 spacers that's using the word beloved a little more accurately and tear they owe tear 50,000 pounds it's also reported that they owe their athletes 26,000 pounds they It's also reported that they owe their athletes 26,000 pounds. They, they appear to be what some reports are saying. 6.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Million, $6.8 million pounds in the rears. Frazier group owner of Everlast gyms has acquired the assets of wit fitness from administrators, RG insolvency adding the brand to its portfolio. I wonder how that brand is doing. Everlast Gyms.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Because I can't imagine Tom Brady's fitness, whatever he was doing, was doing too well when it merged with Noble. Prove me wrong. Prove me wrong. Thank you, Greg Glassman, for everything you've done.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Please, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. If it wasn't for you, I probably would get duped by shit like this. Brace yourself, people. If you're not sitting down, you need to be sitting down when you hear this. The CEO of Kellogg is happy to say that more people are eating cereal for dinner. In fact, the company is leaning into it and intentionally advertising cereal as a dinner meal for the cash-strapped families.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Bidenomics dinner. Bidenomics dinner. It's been quite affordable, and it tends to be a great destination when consumers are under pressure. So some of the things that we're doing is first messaging. We've got to reach the consumer where they are. So we're advertising about cereal for dinner. If you think about the cost of cereal for a family versus what they might otherwise do, that's going to be much more affordable. The other places that we like to go is we talk about making sure we have the right pack at the right price in the right place. So having a different size pack that will have a different price point, that will take some pressure off the consumer while they're shopping.
Starting point is 00:06:55 So those are some of the things that we're selling diabetes in a cardboard box for a living. Douchebag. Everyone reach out to Greg Glassman. Tell him thank you. If it was not for him, many of us would be duped by all sorts of this crazy nonsense. If you need a weight belt, if you need a weight belt,
Starting point is 00:07:19 if you need a weight belt, I don't know who needs a weight belt. Check it out. Make Wads Great Again. Make Wads Great Again is now selling weight belts i'd be so curious how that idea uh came about i give it a like there we go 43 likes on the account with 500,000 followers. No comments. Okie dokie.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Anyway, get your weight belt. It looks like a weight belt. So there you go. If you need a weight belt, there's a new one on the market. Related to guests we've had on this show, I'll say it again. Don't get your kid a cell phone. You won't believe this next story. Former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki's son found dead at university dorm.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Here's why the family says it's talking to media. Here's why the family says it's talking to media. God, I need to learn how to talk today. This week brought tragedy is Marco Troper, the 19-year-old son of former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, was discovered deceased in his dormitory at the University of California, Berkeley. Emergency services responded to Clark Kerr dorms on the UC Berkeley campus following reports of an unresponsive student. Despite prompt intervention by the Berkeley Fire Department, Trover could not be revived. The stories coming out, guys, are that he was on Snapchat and died of a fentanyl order he made. And in the same news we find out today that hayley adams is actually no different than the rest of us she was on the lone ranger podcast with the great lauren khalil the khaleisi. And Hayley Adams says what every single kid
Starting point is 00:09:26 in the entire world has said. And she's just normal. It's all about at a young age and having eyes on you and just people commenting on the way you look. Basically, non-stop is definitely one of the hardest things that I had
Starting point is 00:09:41 to deal with and try to figure out. One of the hardest things she's had to deal with and try to you know figure out because one of the hardest things she's had to deal with is people commenting on how she looks non-stop I wonder how that compares to Kevin Ogar losing his legs anyway just saying again it's like okay well I'm supposed to be strong and I'm supposed to be like putting on muscle but not too much muscle yeah me too I wanted to be strong and putting on muscle me too because then you're like you can't do the things that you're good at it's just it felt so it was never ending it felt like you could never be good enough um and of course you don't welcome welcome to being 14 years old thank you welcome to being 14 years
Starting point is 00:10:20 old that's every 14 year old with body dysmorphia and i had i still have body dysmorphia i don't even know what that is but yeah fucking i hate my body go on yeah except for when i'm laying on top of my wife and the lights are out i've definitely had my fair share of all those feelings and it's so sad how does she know she's had her fair share of those feelings how does she know how does she know back at like all of my teenage years and be like you were so beautiful and you couldn't see it there it is she looked back at her teenage years and was like oh my god i'm so beautiful and i couldn't see it ladies and gentlemen she's normal i remember being in the fifth grade and looking back at the girl who liked me in the second grade
Starting point is 00:11:02 and i was like oh my god she's so beautiful i didn't see it i remember being in the fifth grade and looking back at the girl who liked me in the second grade. And I was like, oh my God, she's so beautiful. I didn't see it. I remember being in the seventh grade and looking back at the girl who liked me in the fifth grade. I know girls used to like me being like, oh my God, I didn't see it. I remember always looking back at my school pictures and thinking, oh my God, I'm not ugly. I just turned ugly. But then two years later, looking back and seeing pictures and be like, oh my God, I wasn't ugly't ugly hayley it won't stop until you put a stop to it all you have to do is throw your phone away and it will completely go away well for well i didn't even have a phone and i had that problem so maybe maybe don't take advice from me but you're perfectly normal there's nothing here. Perfectly.
Starting point is 00:11:45 You're, you're, you're perfectly normal. You need to do something abnormal. If you want to win the games, do something abnormal, get into, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:11:51 ecstasy or go away to India and live in a cave for eight months. This is just normal, normal, normal. So normal. God, I thought I was normal. You're my,
Starting point is 00:12:00 you might be more normal than I'm normal. God, I hated being normal. Maybe that's what it is. Maybe you just hate being normal. Anyway, Haley Adams is normal maybe that's what it is maybe you just hate being normal anyway hayley adams is normal it is what it is and here we go the most controversial controversial thing on the internet today coming from clydesdale media two of my favorites scott switzer miss latimer brace yourself here we go i did and i did see uh will brandcenter's comment about whoever whoever picked
Starting point is 00:12:26 lawson needs to be kicked out of the pool i will say i did not pick lawson to win though uh he's got a point if you aren't picking tia to win why is that a point we will see we will see when tia does the live announcement how she's looking i call bullshit you can't go on the women's side and say you have to pick tia it's two years after the fact life has changed people have gotten better things can happen she didn't win rogue yeah that was so soon after and she barely lost i i don't think there's a chance that anyone can catch her, but we'll see. I voted to win. I've said it on the show that my biggest call for the year is Emma Lawson is
Starting point is 00:13:13 going to shock the world and beat both Laura and Tia at the games. Here we go. So here's the thing. Yes. And yes, there's no chance of anyone to win, but Tia, but Schweitzer has a great fucking take, man. With the Mal girl gone. And Hayley Adams still living as a 14-year-old girl.
Starting point is 00:13:41 It is Emma Lawson is the heir. She is the air. She is, she is, she is the future. And, uh, a great, great discussion between Scott Schweitzer and Jamie Latimer.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Some of the best stuff I've seen coming out of the Clydesdale media podcast. Well, Brant's there also, uh, saying some aggressive shit. I like that. Look at this. It says view hidden comments.
Starting point is 00:14:03 I wonder what this is. You're all sleeping on Gazan. Yeah. Yeah. Fair enough. I don't know why that's hidden. But yeah, we Gazan's a powerhouse too. But man, Lawson, Lawson is perfecto. Like, let's just face
Starting point is 00:14:20 it. There's perfection there. Perfection. Bye-bye.
