Emergency parking lot trash.
You had a Linux experience.
And you were moving to Linux, but nobody heard the update.
And we've seen comment after comment saying, what has trash been doing with Linux?
Is it actually still awesome?
Or has he quit?
What's going on?
Tell us what has happened.
Everybody is yearning for it.
So tell us.
Yeah, my latest developments was, I think like last week or two weeks ago, I made a NioVim plug-in.
based on Teja's telescope plugin.
So I didn't like,
I was looking at all the Tewis for Spotify.
I didn't like any of them.
So then I just built one,
built out that was like extending telescope.
So now I can just play Spotify through telescope.
So now I don't have to leave my terminal inside Linux.
So that's like my newest one.
And then I think I made some updates.
Now I have like this sick light and dark theme switcher,
which will change my background,
change everything with just a click of a bind.
So those are my two latest ones.
As far as hardware goes,
I was going to buy the Dell XPS 14,
but apparently the bad thing is like you got your option is you have to buy
like copilot and all this stuff on it, which I correct me if I'm wrong.
You just erase it.
Yeah, but I don't want, but it's actually like costs money to have those on there.
Like there's like a line item that says like Windows or a copie like $100 or something
dollars or something like that.
I was like, okay.
So I was like, I went to go look at framework.
Then like there's like pre-orders for framework.
They don't have a 14 inch.
I really want a 14 inch laptop.
So I basically am picking between a Dell Express 14 or the framework 13.
But I don't know because since the 13 is on pre-order and 13 is kind of small.
A 13 was small.
I will say a 14 is much more comfy than a 13.
I want a 14.
He's firm on that.
I'm firm on 14.
I'm not budging from 14.
So I might have to just get the XPS 14.
I just hate like when I'm looking at it.
A quick question.
Yeah.
Is the $100 for co-pilot maker break for you?
because I'm like just looking right behind you and wondering like
that you've got some other issues in your life.
$100.
This,
this is an investment.
Don't give Microsoft money.
Teage is an opportunity cost.
If he gives $100 to Microsoft for co-pilot,
that's $100 less Pokemon cards he gets.
That's okay.
My mistake.
My mistake.
Yeah.
Guy was unaware of your game.
Trash,
what you got.
What you got for us.
This box was $59.
Guess how much?
is worth now.
79.
More
800.
No, it's like 400 now, okay?
But that's what I'm saying.
It's so much lower than what I guess.
Whatever. It's an investment.
I hate you guys.
When did you buy it?
A couple years ago.
Okay.
That's not a bad ROI.
See?
That's not the worst.
That's actually considered a great ROI.
It's just it didn't scale.
Like you should have bought a thousand boxes.
I know.
Yeah, that's a good point.
Well, you know what?
I'm not a scalper, okay?
So I do it for the love of the game.
Trash, can you help me understand?
Why is there so many fistfights that happen at Pokemon vending machines?
And have you been a part of one, been next to one, or have walked away from one?
Because I got to understand this PVP server that is known as Pokemon Drop Sites.
Let me tell you something.
I went through a phase of my life where I was like that guy that sat at the vending machine for like two hours,
waiting because there's like a timer.
and you have to wait and you have to figure out the algorithm
because all these bedding machines have different algorithms
and they only drop every 30 minutes, 45 minutes to an hour.
So what happens is while you're waiting,
another filthy scum bag walks up and there's no there's no like etiquette here.
It's like they can just walk up and touch the screen.
They can walk like you can't just say, hey, you can't touch that.
I'm like in the middle of like a rouse.
Like I already look stupid.
So people will come up and just start touching the screen,
which could potentially fuck up the timing and then people get mad
and then they start like wrestling and stuff
I'm just like, bro, come.
So you know what I do?
I just go, and I walk away.
Cool update, though.
There's like four more vending machines by me now.
I don't go to them because I don't have time anymore,
but you guys check.
Is that what you learn Jiu-Jitsu is so that when you inevitably get into a fist fight,
you can get him down to the ground and like submit them.
I'm low-key waiting for that moment to happen to me.
I could imagine that.
I can imagine you've played that scenario quite a few times in your head already.
I watch those same like things you're watching.
Watching them like, those guys don't know what they're doing.
I was like, he would have been asleep by now if that was me.
No, violence is terrible.
I want to know though, any other, like, are you still daily driving Linux or is it your main dev?
No, no, I do all my all my development on the side on Alex right now.
But what about what about at Netflix?
Are you Linux there yet?
No, I still have the MacBook.
I don't feel like going to IT and asking them for a Linux thing.
And then like I was talking to other people I use Linux and sometimes they have problems
with some of the stuff.
And I was like,
I'll just rather just keep it on my personal stuff.
Like the downside right now is I still have them separate too.
Yeah, yeah.
The downside is just like the hardware is terrible that I'm using.
So I have to use all the cloud agents and all that stuff.
You know what I'm saying?
I know what you're saying.
Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
So but otherwise I'm waiting to get a good one.
It just like can't.
I just the XPS just rubs me every time I,
I'm in the cart.
I'm just looking at it.
I'm like,
I can't do it.
I can't do it.
I'll send in a message today and let them let them know.
No,
it's actually an excellent point.
Having to pay Microsoft $100 to run Linux is a punch in the gut for people who want to run Linux.
Yeah, and it just comes with copilot.
Like,
I don't want co-pilot.
Just take off Windows.
Take off copilot.
Just give me the laptop.
Does the laptop have a copilot key?
I think it actually does.
But you can get it.
Well, actually, it's not,
uh,
we got ours.
gave us omachi keys instead.
What?
Yeah.
If a laptop has a copilot key, I simply would not ever use it.
I'm like, no.
That goes in the air.
It's a pretty fair.
That's why I just can't do it.
Draw in the sand.
Yeah.
So I guess this podcast episode could be the place where they decide it's
time to put in a line, a non-copilot line.
Michael Dell himself said if there's enough demand, they'll do it.
He said so on X.com, the everything application.
formerly known as Twitter, formerly known as Twitter.
Formerly known as X, now it's SpaceX.
What is it?
Which way is it now?
Is it space X?
Space X dash AI slash cursor.
Is this space implied?
So it's just like X space.
You know, like space is actually like there, but you don't say it?
All right.
We're way off the rails here and trash has to go.
So thank you everyone for joining us for this parking lot.
Yeah.
Or whatever it was just called.
I don't know what that means.
We've had a wonderful time.
Trash has to go.
Great point.
Going on a plane.
Thanks for keeping us on track.
Bye, Trash.
We'll miss you.
Thanks for the parking lot.
Case or trash.
Bye.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Bye.
