109 pounds in six months.
If I don't lose weight, I'm going to die.
I really thought that every day when I woke up was my last day on earth.
I don't ever feel like I used to, you know what I'm saying?
I want to throw a step in this before picture.
The picture of the day that we met.
Your triglycerides were through the roof.
Diabetic.
Insulin was through the roof.
Kidney filtration rates were slow.
Your liver was under a lot of stress.
And just the last blood work in 62 days is phenomenal.
And you said, hey, in 120 days, people will recognize you.
And that's kind of what I've gone by.
We are at the tail end of a beautiful story.
I mean, my life is completely changed from an energy level.
Once you get your body healthy and your cells healthy, the weight will fall off.
I sleep phenomenally.
I wake up in the morning refreshed.
I can't wait to get up and go work out.
It's phenomenal.
I can't even put into words how happy that I am.
I always have this newfound passion for wanting to get my day started and get going.
I don't say things I don't mean.
This is like the best thing that ever happened to me.
Hey guys, welcome back to the Ultimate Human Podcast.
As we get ready for the next episode, it's a little bit of a different episode than what
we normally shoot.
You ask for more real people on real health journeys and a lot more detail about what
they went through to accomplish their health goals.
And so this is the episode for you.
One of my favorite clients, Stefan, documents his health journey. He had a
dream when we started of losing 105 pounds without an ounce of lean muscle tissue. The clinical team
and Dr. Sarta did an amazing job. I counseled him on his diet and his lifestyle changes and his
exercise routine, and we documented the entire thing in 12 weeks. We documented it again at six
months. I know you're going to find this episode
as inspiring as I did. There's something for everybody to take away from this episode. It's
never too late to get started. Dude, these are some of my absolute favorite moments because,
you know, I look at it once in a while, just take a patient and showcase them and kind of
show the journey. Because we met in May of this year. It's what, what's today? September, September 7th,
September 7th. Okay. So September 7th, September 8th, whatever it is, we're here in the Octagon.
And my man, Stefan from Vegas, you know, you actually tracked me down. I think you
tracked me down online. And I love this guy because he's very tenacious. And he is like,
listen, man, I saw your shit online. And I was like, I'm going to work with that guy.
I don't care if I have to fly to you.
That's true.
I remember the first conversation we had.
I had anxiety.
He actually gave me your assistant Mariah's number.
And then I hit up her and I said, I don't care.
I'll come down and I'll fly to Miami.
You know, I'll be honest with you, it was worth every penny.
Thank you.
Every cent that I spent on even all the superhuman stuff, the radiotherapy, the mat, and the oxygen.
Wow, we went straight into a commercial.
Thank you.
But, you know, I like to really showcase the patient journey
because somebody's watching this right now and going,
you know, I'm where that guy is or where that guy was.
And, you know, we only started 62 days ago.
Right.
So in 62 days, tell me a little bit.
I know what I see. Right. I mean, your color is even. You lost tell me a little bit. I know what I see.
I mean, your color is even.
You lost a lot of chins. I lost about 60 pounds.
58 pounds, 59 pounds.
That's almost a pound a day. Well, it is, but
the first 10, 15 pounds comes off pretty easy
obviously because of a lot of water weight and
stuff. But look, I've lost weight before
in my life, but you never feel good doing it
because you're always depleting or missing something
in the protocol. That's why we brought the peptides in.
Right, so I got, so I'm
every supplement you gave me,
along with the other stuff that you gave me, I take
religiously. I pretty much stop
drinking. I eat religiously.
I eat a very clean diet, just, you know,
in the morning, you know, basically
a small amount of chicken, scrambled
eggs, and half an avocado.
That's exactly what I told you to eat.
And for dinner, you know, I'll have maybe a piece of salmon
and some vegetables.
That's about it.
That's beautiful.
I don't miss anything.
I feel satiated all day.
That's the thing I want people to know is, like, of course,
the first few days is going to be tough, right?
But once you're in it, like, how hard has it been?
Has it been miserable?
You know what it is?
When you look at the first day, you think, okay, I've got about 120 days.
It's daunting because you think, you know what?
I have all these days.
Can I really do it?
Am I going to stay on this?
I live above a casino.
I'm an elevator ride down from Aria down to the casino floor where everything is temptation, drinks, food, everything, you know, that goes along with that.
It's a five-minute ride.
Well, I'm just saying, so when they had that temptation, do you have the willpower to be able to sustain this kind of a program?
Because you've got to be religious with it, right?
But so I sit to myself, I be able to sustain this kind of a program because you got to be religious with it. Right. Right. But so I get to, you know,
I said to myself, I'm not, I'm going to get, get this done.
And so once you're into it,
once you're into about two weeks or even 21 days where you have it becomes
formula, you know, your body forms a habit. I mean, it becomes a habit.
It becomes second nature.
I want to throw up Stefan's before picture,
the picture of the day that we met. I mean, because, um, you know,
we'll flash it up on the screen because I want you guys to see where he
started and where he is right now.
I mean, I just walked in the room and I was like, what in the hell is going on?
You know what I mean?
You lost half a man in your face, five chins on your chins.
You look great.
I lost 16 inches on my waist.
16?
Yeah, 16.
I'm telling you, I just—
16 inches on your waist.
I went at eight more inches put on my belt and I'm down to the last one.
Yeah, he told me he uses the same belt so
he can measure his progress.
So he's not throwing that belt away.
He just keeps putting notches in it.
I keep cutting the end off and making
it shorter. We'll make a sofa out
of it when we're done.
The astounding thing is,
and I like to highlight this all the time, because
everybody sees what's going on
on the outside. Your color gets very even.
Your energy level goes up.
You know, you start losing weight, start looking a lot better.
But what's fascinating for me, what really, you know, floats my boat or, you know, really is like chicken soup for my soul is what's going on in the inside.
Because when we met, if you don't mind me saying, you know, you were what's called hypertriglyceride
even, your triglycerides were through the roof
you were a diabetic
I'm not even sure
you were aware of it until I started
explaining it
that you were a diabetic
insulin was through the roof
your kidney
filtrations rates were slow, your liver was
under a lot of stress and just
the last blood work in 62 days is phenomenal.
Yeah, my fasting blood sugar was 71 from 98.
My triglycerides were down.
My A1C is down to 5.2.
5.2, by the way, if you know anything about hemoglobin A1C, 5.2 is phenomenal.
That's almost type of glycemic.
It was 5.9 when we started.
Yeah, it was 5.9. It was, you know, at that 6.0 range, you know, you're diabetic.
At about 6.4 to 7, you start becoming insulin dependent.
Just again, if we're being honest, my sex life, my sex drive, my whole sexual, and I'm single.
I date a number of hot-looking girls in Vegas.
A number of hot-looking girls.
Look at Vegas.
But listen, I'm going to be honest with you.
I had no, I couldn't,'t like do anything and now back here
we are two months later i'm back to what i'm 20 and this is the thing that i love to talk about
too you know it's like if you think about all the spokes of the wheel and and you know you look at
the blood work or or you make an observation of somebody it looks like the whole world's going to
hell in the handbasket you know you're heavy you're you've got diabetes you've got high
triglycerides you've got um high insulin you, liver's under a lot of stress, kidney's under a
lot of stress. And in 62 days, without being tortured, some diet, some lifestyle changes,
and yes, you know, you spent some money on a PEMF mat, a red light therapy, and an oxygen bag. But
I want to highlight the fact that people can get the same value.
They can get it from taking their shoes off and walking on the surface of the earth, learning to do breath work at first light, exposing your skin to sunlight.
Yes, if you've got a budget, do what Stefan did.
Buy a red light therapy bed.
Buy a Hypermax oxygen system and buy a PEMF mat.
That's great.
You bring the outside in, magnetism, oxygen, light.
But I want to emphasize the fact that just incremental changes in what you do
every day are what make the difference.
It's the consistency in your routine now.
My consistency goes even down to every morning I wake up,
then I take some pre-workout stuff.
I do my workout, then I'll come back, and I'll do my red light therapy.
But I did the mat.
I'm sorry, before I even got out of bed.
So bottom line is I do have this whole regimen.
Yes.
And I even go to the same place to eat every day,
which is a place that all bodybuilders and people eat type thing.
Really clean food, all grass-fed beef and chicken.
Is that here in town?
Yeah, it's called Protein House.
Protein House.
It's over on Eastern.
Okay. So I'm sure a lot of your it's pretty it's pretty probably a lot of the
fighters and those guys all those guys go but yeah but bottom line is i just eat completely
healthy right and so i used to drink a lot whiskey and beer a lot of beer which is all
carbohydrates and stuff i have no beer a lot of folic acid if i'm gonna drink i'm not gonna
date someone i'll have maybe a shot of vodka with with some plain soda but you don't even drink that
i mean i just sip it on for like for an hour or two and that's all i have yeah so i don't i
don't i'm trying to i don't i don't introduce any any things in my body that will raise my insulin
level good so i keep my insulin level steady but i also i'm very i'm very sensitive to spike in my
insulin so that's why i eat only i don't eat carbs yeah if i eat any carbs just through vegetables
that type of thing i'll eat some broccolini, that type of stuff. Right.
So talk to me about mental energy, mental clarity, short-term recall, focus, that kind of thing. So let me get back to one thing you said a few minutes ago before I forget because it's important.
Sure.
So every day that I woke up back a couple months ago, I always thought,
is today going to be my last day because I always felt so bad that I could die.
Really?
I always – I think I've done this when I met you, but I always thought, okay, I'm so heavy.
I'm not going to get any better.
But I haven't had a cardiology workout.
It was fine.
I did cardio every day of my life prior to me getting heavy, right?
So you know what I'm saying?
But I moved here, and the pandemic hit two months after I moved here.
All I did for a year when I was unemployed was drink, eat, gamble,
that kind of thing, right?
So that's when I got mostly out of shape.
So my point is I thought, you know, I'm going to have a heart attack.
All my friends, some of my friends are already dying.
I'm going to have a stroke.
I'm going to have something.
I'm going to be a vegetable.
I mean, every day I had a little ache and pain or a pain in my chest.
I thought that was going to be the day.
It was going to be the end of me.
So now, you know, I wake up with a whole different attitude, obviously.
But I feel like I did when I was younger because I was in great shape when I was younger.
I bodybuilded.
You know, I used to be Chippendales for years and stuff. You know because I was in great shape when I was younger yeah I bodybuilded you know I used to be chipping deals for some of years and stuff you know I was I was in a great
shape I was I would love that part of my life and I felt that was kind of missing but I thought
could I ever get it back and I really felt with my motivation I didn't have it I tried to start
Mondays a day I'm going to start this diet okay by Friday I was off Tuesday I never had the
motivation or the the stick-to-it-edness to really get on it but since I'm on this whole
regime yeah regimen yeah that really gives me...
And I give you what to do every day, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
It gives me the accountability to really understand kind of where we're going.
And you said, hey, in 120 days, people will recognize you.
And that's kind of what I've gone by.
It's kind of my credo.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
So that's pretty much it.

And now, back to The Ultimate Human Podcast.
That's fantastic. As far as the mental part of it, you know, again And now, back to the Ultimate Human Podcast. That's fantastic.
As far as the mental part of it,
you know, again, it goes back to what I just said.
It's like, you know, you and your mind have a goal.
You set your goals.
In my life, I'm very successful in business
and every other thing I've done in my life.
And because that's because of my personality
and just my focus and what I do.
Right.
This is all about the same thing.
It's like your job.
You know, it's the same thing.
You focus on it.
You make sure that you keep on the dot. and i told you i was going to do it when
i left your your apartment you were you were very convicted i was going to freaking do it
and i'm not i'm a man of my word and everything i do so that's it yeah and but we i i knew that
you were either going to flick that switch or you weren't and you did and as soon as you flicked that
switch and you've checked in with me a lot and you've checked in with the team a lot, which we love.
We love a lot of questions.
Make sure that you're fully on the plan.
If you ever have a question, you've got to get back on the plan.
At first, I was a little bit like, I'm doing the right thing kind of thing.
But Devin, your counterpart, he is great.
He calls me sir.
I told him not to.
That's his thing.
He's awesome.
And once in a while, I'll get the IV.
I'll get the Myers cocktail type of thing. I'll have your nurse come over and give me that at my
office right i would have you type of thing i don't like to get swollen though it's in this
you know a lot of sodium in that in that saline bag type right i don't like looking puffy for a
couple days right i try to i try to do my own my own hydration but yeah because i'm doing kind of
a keto diet right yes so and i don't want to get like a keto flu situation right you don't want to
that's right yeah which comes from low sodium that's right yeah and. And I don't want to get a keto flu situation, right? Which comes from low sodium.
That's right.
What I want to also emphasize
is the relative short
distance that we've gone so far.
62 days is not a long period of time.
In the scope of the big picture, it's nothing.
To be waking up 62 days ago wondering if it's
your last day on earth. Thank you for sharing
that. That's very vulnerable of you.
A lot of clients are not that forthcoming exactly how it is and and now to wake
up and feel like you got a purpose and a passion and a mission and you actually got something bigger
to live for i mean that's amazing you know i'm only halfway there and here's the thing so just
because they were doing this thing tonight it was unexpected for me i didn't realize i was doing this
yeah it was like getting the ring but but but but here's the thing but because i'm only halfway
there i don't i'm not going to say well gee, gee, I'm going to rest on my laurels.
I'm going to go out tonight and I'm going to have a pizza.
That's not who I am.
I'm only halfway there.
And even with 120 days, it's not like I'm just obviously going to change.
It's a lifestyle change and you have to make this lifestyle forever.
And once you reach that goal and you get yourself in a position where you start feeling great, you don't want to start feeling bad again.
No, you never want to go back.
And that's what I want to do. I want people to know that you can set that hook so quickly that if you're in a position where Stefan was and want to be in a position where he is, you could be 62 days away from feeling the best that you've felt in your adult lifetime.
I mean, I tell people all the time, you're walking around about 55% or 60% of your true state of normal.
You have no idea how good normal can feel.
No, trust me.
You remember once you get back there because I felt normal.
I felt good my whole life.
But you don't remember until you feel it again.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
And as I mentioned before.
Because it's a slow process to get where you were.
On the personal side and the sexual side, I mean,
when you get that part of your life back,
that's a fulfilling part of your life that when you're missing that,
half of you is gone.
Yeah.
And it's embarrassing on other parts too when you're with people and it's not but now you know you're back
feeling great in every aspect that to me is like dude i'm not gonna lie to you it's i mean
i have to thank you because i honestly thank you for working with me i told you this before
i'm sort of crying but oh but dude no i just i just literally wanted to thank you because
because really i don't know if i had any other real hope or any other way I could do it I mean I tried Benazade's keto camp and stuff
but he's not you know it's not the support's not there and you're just doing keto and that's but
there's more than just doing keto in this situation you need to you know with your whole genetic
testing and figure out what your body's missing and also using the supplements to replace the
things that your body is lacking type of thing yeah yeah that's all the stuff you really need
to really feel start start feeling good.
And that's how,
as you feel good,
that's how it keeps you motivated to even scheme further.
So we'll see in 60 more days.
Yeah.
How I look.
This is what we call an outtake.
So this is not going to air until we get the other 60 day episode on,
but this is going to be a really interesting thing to show the 62nd day.
And then the 120th day and the massive change.
So stay tuned.
I told you,
I wanted to be your poster child.
You're going to be my poster child.
I said, dude, I wanted to be, you know.
He did.
Everything that he's saying right now is very true.
I mean, first, he hunted me down.
He insisted on coming to Miami to see me.
Flew out from Vegas.
We spent a whole afternoon together.
You know, we looked at the blood work.
We looked at the genetic testing.
The clinical team put together a protocol.
You, to your credit, have stuck to it like gospel.
I haven't cheated.
There's not one day that I didn't do anything that I shouldn't.
My goal is to get off my blood pressure medication.
Yep.
That's all I take is blood pressure medication.
I take some amlodipine, 5 milligrams, and I take Valsartan 320.
But as you said, I don't want to start feeling dizzy and then all of a sudden this and that.
But as I get lower, I think hopefully.
And also, too, you know, I use a CPAP machine every night.
I like to get rid of that CPAP machine because it's only geared towards my neck being fat.
Right.
Not being able to breathe when I sleep.
I haven't slept without a CPAP machine probably in eight years because I woke up twice in AFib without it.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, we could be 60 days away from that.
Well, hopefully.
I mean, that'd be kind of cool.
I'll be honest with you.
I'm not even sure I could sleep without it.
Yeah.
It's your blankie now?
No, you're used to it, though.
It's your safety blanket.
I used to fall asleep at the wheel of my car driving home from the office.
I mean, I wasn't sleeping.
And that causes other things like depression.
I wasn't depressed, but I just was.
Just mood numbness.
Yeah.
Trust me.
I was always in a bad mood.
You know I was in a bad mood?
Because I always felt horrible and i looked really bad and i'm a guy who grew up as i told you before working at chippendales and i was always a
model kind of guy you know i've seen your pictures that that you know once you which
and you i didn't i didn't have appeal to the opposite sex i just felt like my life was over
i mean i'm not gonna lie it's just you feel like you're just not a different person now all that
stuff's coming back i feel that's's what makes you feel even better.
It's the emotional side of the whole situation, not just the weight loss and stuff, not how you feel.
The emotional side of it.
Even my employees go, God, you're in such a good mood today.
I'm like, they're not used to seeing me in a good mood, right, because I was not in a good mood.
This is amazing.
All right, well, stay tuned.
60 more days at the 120-day mark.
We're going to come back and recheck in.
And just remember, as always, that's just science.
That wraps up Stefan's journey after 12 weeks.
Now here's part two, the rest of his six-month health transformation.
Hey, guys, welcome back to the Ultimate Human Podcast,
where we go down the road of everything longevity, anti-aging, biohacking,
and everything in between.
This is a podcast today that we are filming the tail end of.
We've recorded the journey of a client of mine and a patient of my clinical team,
Stephan Kutzman. Stephan first came to me in June of this year, so it's been six months,
just almost six months to the day. It was on the 16th.
Today's the 17th, almost six months to the day.
And he told me, he said, Gary, my goal in life is to lose 100 pounds.
And in doing so, I want to make sure that I'm healthy during that time frame.
I want to make sure that I don't harm myself, that I don't borrow from my future.
And so I got together with my
clinical team, we pulled some blood on Stefan, we are at the tail end of a beautiful story.
And I like to tell these stories, because somebody watching this podcast right now,
is where Stefan was only six months ago. And I want you guys to see and hear from Stefan about
what his journey has been like, and how he stayed committed to this journey and why you should join this journey if you haven't begun so already. Because life and
normalcy is right around the corner. If you've got an entire superhuman inside of you that is just
begging to come out, now is the time to make that transformative change so that what you've been
educated on and inspired by causes you to make a transformation. So, Stefan, welcome back to the podcast.
Thank you.
Yeah.
And, you know, first of all, I appreciate that you've been willing to come on and be so vulnerable
because, you know, a lot of people in your position are not willing to share this with the outside world,
either, you know, because they just don't want to put it out there in the public domain,
or they're, they're ashamed of it, or, you know, any number of reasons. And so they become very
reclusive about it. And rather than talk about it, or take action, they just continue to let
the current state of affairs, you know, drag on. And so what I want to do is I want to first talk about the first day that we met.
Because this is an aggressive, driven human being.
Let me.
No is not in his vocabulary.
And so he aggressively sought me out.
I remember the first conversation he said.
He's like, listen, I don't care where you are, how much it costs.
I'm coming to meet you. I'm ready to start this transformation he was in las vegas at the time
right i live in las vegas yeah but i but i but i actually knew someone who gave me a mariah's
phone number my assistant and i i took i left her a text or emailed we've traded information
and then i told her what i wanted to do and I wanted to get on your program. And then
she sent me the genetic test and the, um, the blood work stuff and we got that done. But, but,
but otherwise I want, I told some other friends of mine, you know, that I wanted to meet you
and they didn't want to get involved. You know what I'm saying? So I had to do it myself.
Yeah. Well, somehow you made your way to me. He came down to see me in Miami. We sat down,
um, you know, he had had his blood work done.
I just want to give you guys some numbers.
You know, at the time that we met, his triglycerides, the level of blood fat in his blood on a fasted basis were over 400.
He also had a clinically deficient level of healthy cholesterol, which is HDL.
He had a hemoglobin A1c, the three-month average of his
blood sugar of around 6.0. Remember, you're at 6.4. You're actually a full-blown diabetic.
His testosterone was in the 200s. His free testosterone was even lower. He had severe
insulin resistance, meaning that his insulin was no longer capable of controlling his blood sugar.
He was clinically deficient in vitamin D3. You were on a CPAP machine. Yeah. Yeah. And we sat
and we put a protocol together. And yes, I will tell you, first of all, number one,
this was not expensive. Number two, the majority of what he did was make lifestyle
and exercise changes. And I want to talk about some of those. And then I
want to talk to you about the blood work that he has now. Triglycerides have normalized. They are
below 140. He is not only no longer insulin resistant or pre-diabetic, he is low on average
blood sugar. His hemoglobin A1c is 4.8 now, right? And you're no longer insulin resistant, which means he's had
a complete reset. Now, what did we use to do that? Now, in this case, when you're morbidly obese and
diabetic or morbidly obese and pre-diabetic, the clinical team did put him on a peptide called
Tirzepatide, which is the Manjaro peptide, if you're familiar with that. It is not Ozempic
or Wagovi. It is not semaglutide we use
something called terzepatide which in side-by-side clinical trials fda approved here in the united
states actually perform better for weight loss and for insulin and blood sugar control so one of the
risks of using these types of glp-1 inhibitors is that they they actually can cause muscle and
tissue wasting so a third of the weight that most actually can cause muscle and tissue wasting. So a third of the
weight that most of these people lose, and even in some cases, a larger percentage, up to half of
the weight that these people lose, is lean muscle mass and lean body mass. And so to prevent that,
the clinical team put them on a peptide called sermorelin. This is a growth hormone peptide,
growth hormone releasing hormone. It essentially rewinds the pituitary to a more youthful level of growth hormone secretion.
It's a 44-chain amino acid sequence.
He put it under his tongue at night before bed.
And other than that, what did we do during the last six months?
Because, you know, we're tying this in with the last podcast that we shot.
We did it in the UFC Octagon.
And at that point, you'd lost 60 pounds 65
pounds and you said i want to lose another 40 pounds before i do the final podcast i lost 50
i'm all 50 109 pounds of my 109 pounds in six months and no lean body mass so yeah so no loss
of lean body mass my arms are bigger because I worked out with Kevin. Yeah.
But at the end of the day, really, it's the supplements I take.
Yeah. I take your multivitamin, which is the methylated vitamin, right?
I take TMG.
Mm-hmm.
Trimethylglycine.
And that was actually-
Trimethylglycine is one of the things the clinical team used to bring down the elevated homocysteine.
And a lot of people have an amino acid in their blood called homocysteine.
When this amino acid rises, it can cause inflammation.
One of the things it causes is a potential spasm or a reduced laxity in the vascular system. And when that happens, when we reduce the flexibility of the vascular system,
we take it from a garden hose, let's say, to a PVC pipe.
It can drive our pressure up.
Not always, but it is an underlying factor for that.
What about pressure down too?
So, you know, I take the vina, which is the resveratrol.
Yep, yep, the resveratrol.
Resveratrol.
I take...
The peptide at night.
I take a peptide.
I take BPC-157. I love that peptide. night? I take a peptide. I take BPC-157.
I love that peptide.
Huh?
I love that peptide.
I take that, and I take vitamin D3.
Vitamin D3.
Twice a day.
Sometimes I take twice a day.
Mm-hmm.
And boron, which is...
Boron to help bring down sex hormone-binding globulin.
And then I do a shot.
Obviously, we talked about testosterone to get my level up.
Obviously, testosterone on Monday and Thursday.
Yeah, and for the record, his testosterone level is perfect.
It's around 900.
Previously, it was in the 200s.
And when the clinical team looks at testosterone, they try to separate whether or not somebody has what they call primary hypogonadism or secondary hypogonadism.
One of them, primary, is when the testicles are losing their capacity to secrete the hormone
testosterone. These are generally the patients that qualify for hormone therapy. The second
type is called secondary hypogonadism, and this is where the signals are low and you're not producing
testosterone, in which case you can turn the signal up.
And clomiphene is one thing that the clinical team uses.
They also use HCG, human chorionic gonadotropin,
or the generic version called gonadotropin.
I take that also.
Yeah, you take that also to make sure that you don't have testicular shrinkage
and that you don't completely stop producing your own testosterone.
Hey, guys, if you've been watching the Ultimate Human Podcast for any length of time,
you know that one thing I do not do is push products.
I do not just let any advertiser into this space
because I believe that the products that appear on the Ultimate Human Podcast
should be things that I use every day in my life to improve my own physiology.
One of them is something called the Echo Go Plus.
The Echo Go Plus is a hydrogen water generator
that you can take on the go you essentially take the top off of this bottle you pour bottled water
in this and repeatedly it will make high part per million hydrogen water you press this little
button you'll see these bubbles going up in the water that's hydrogen being created in the water
there are all kinds of peer-reviewed
published clinical studies on the benefits of hydrogen water including reduced inflammation
better absorption of your supplements better absorption of your foods better balance of the
stomach acid and it feeds an entire class of bacteria in your gut hydrogen water in my opinion
is the most beneficial water that you can drink and And now you can take it wherever you go.
You can go to echo, E-C-H-O, H2O.com.
That's echo, E-C-H-O, H2O.com.
Enter the code ULTIMATE10 for a discount.
Echo H2O, enter the code ULTIMATE10 for a discount.
And now back to the Ultimate Human Podcast.
So that, so, but you know, I'll be honest, you know, with the testosterone levels, I
mean, my life is completely changed from an energy level to a sexual level.
I'm single.
A little too much information there, Stefan?
Well, just saying like, like completely, but you know, at the end of the day, you know,
when I was, you know, 345 pounds, you know at the end of the day you know when i was you know 345
pounds you know i'm saying yeah like literally like just walking around like my feet shrunk
enough now that my my boots and all my all my shoes fit perfectly that's so like i was having
a problem even with my shoes but even walking because my my feet would swell up or i would get
like you know you know all kinds of pains i literally i think i mentioned this in first podcast together that, that I really thought that every day when I woke up was
my last day on the earth, you know? And I wake up now every day and I do, you know, we do the
superhuman protocol. So on top of what I do in the supplement category, I do red light therapy every
day, 20 minutes every day, every day. With the red light panels. Right i do uh it was mf mat yep pmf mat yeah
so i do the pmf mat every morning and every night you know so and then and i do um the uh hypermax
oxygen when i start my cardio for 15 minutes right so and i just want to say something to the folks
that are watching the podcast right now look um if you have the financial wherewithal to buy a
pemf mat you know the one that we sell is five grand if you have the wherewithal to buy a PEMF mat, you know, the one that we sell is five grand. If
you have the wherewithal to buy the red light panels and the hypermax oxygen, by all means,
buy those things. It'll cost you about $18,000. However, you can get the same benefits for free.
You take your shoes off and contact the surface of the earth. You can discharge into the earth,
earthing, grounding. God gives that to us every single day.
You can get first light in the morning,
expose your skin to sunlight during the first 45 minutes of the day.
There's no UVA, there's no UVB rays during that time.
If it's way too cold to go outside,
you can sit by a window
and allow the sunlight to hit your skin.
And you can learn to do breath work.
If you want a breath work video,
there's a bunch of breath work videos
on theultimatehuman.com.
There are more breath work videos on my Instagram at Gary Brekka.
But I want to just emphasize that the supplement routine that he's on was inexpensive.
The dietary changes that he made were inexpensive.
Keto.
Yeah, he went keto.
Of course, we put him into a ketogenic state.
And then, you know, the exercise changes were less expensive. I don't want to put
out the notion that you have to spend tens of thousands of dollars with me or with somebody
else to get to these fancy pieces of equipment. That is not the secret. If you want the convenience
of it and you have the budget, great. If not, we can do it the way that God intended it and expose
our skin to sunlight, learn to do breath work, touch the surface of the earth with your bare feet, and you can learn to take a cold shower.
All of these things can help change the trajectory of your life.
It's actually about a plunge tub.
Oh, you did?
Have you gotten any yet?
It's not here yet.
Okay.
Because it's slow right now for the Christmas holidays.
But yeah, I love the plunge tub.
That's super.
And I live at a high rise, you know,
so that isn't exactly the easiest way
to like, I have to put it in my bathroom.
Yeah.
And like, you know,
as far as grounding myself,
naturally, I live in a high rise.
Right.
It's not, you know,
in downtown Vegas,
there's not many places you can get,
you know.
But I mean,
you have the financial means.
I just want to make sure
that the folks that are listening
that, you know.
Put it this way. May not have the financial means. I just want to make sure that the folks that are listening that, you know. Put it this way.
May not have that disposable income.
Every single thing that I've invested financially has been way worth it because your health
cannot put a price tag on your health.
Yeah.
And I think that, you know, so even now as I move forward in the program, and I'll never
go off the program.
Like the program, I think is.
I love that, man.
What's that?
I love that.
The program for me is my current way of life.
Like I don't consider myself to be on a diet.
I don't consider myself to be on any kind of program.
People say, well, how long are you going to be on it for?
Well, no, it's like a lifestyle.
You know, it's like what I do every day.
And I don't want to go back to feeling like I used to feel.
Yeah.
So, and I want to get better.
I'm not finished yet.
So you see the current me. Maybe we'll do a follow-up. get better. I'm not finished yet. So you see the current me.
Maybe we'll do a follow up.
Follow up.
that's what I'm saying.
So you saw,
you saw me in October.
Yeah.
You see me now,
50 more pounds lighter.
And we're going to put up some,
some before pictures too.
I mean,
I want people to really see this journey.
Feel free.
But I'm not,
I'm not done.
I still want to reach the goals.
I want to look like I did back.
And this is information that I don't know if I told you,
but you know, back in the day before, i moved to vegas here four years ago i
got here i was in not bad of shape it's the four years living here the pandemic hit you know i was
eating i was drinking i started drinking beer i stopped working out for the first time in my life
after all my whole life for working out doing cardio and i just got fat right so i was like
temporarily fat like i was I wasn't always fat.
Matter of fact, I used to be a male dancer back in the day.
Okay.
11 years at the Chippendales.
Are we going back into that career?
Are you thinking about picking it back up?
I am not, though.
No, but really, I was only temporarily fat.
So I knew what it was like before.
Temporarily fat.
Well, I think some people, unfortunately,
some of them live their whole life with a weight problem, like they've been heavy their whole life sure so they never know
what it is to be thin and i i you know when when i met you you know my goal was because i lost my
motivation i for some reason i just didn't i couldn't i remember i'm gonna start a diet on
monday and then by tuesday i was off at her the weekend would come around i'd be you know be
binge eating whatever it would maybe i started eating a lot of sugar and that kind of thing
sugar is what kills you obviously right so i eat no
sugar i eat no carbohydrates really you know once maybe once a week i'll do or now i'll do like a
carb cycle because i i think it's good because you're wearing yes it is good carb cycle and and
for your gut i go like keto flex so i go carb cycle maybe on sundays or mondays whatever you
know great okay that's great but at the end of the day, like, yeah, I just, I'll never go back to that.
I want to talk about how you felt when we met and what, how the emotional journey.
I didn't think it looked that bad until I saw the pictures.
Yeah.
When someone sent me that picture that I showed you.
Yeah.
I mean, I'll be honest with you.
In your mind, your mind's eye, you only see yourself in a certain way.
Because I was, you know, leaner during my life, I never really realized I was that big. honest with you in your mind your mind's eye you only see yourself in a certain way and because i
was you know leaner my in my during my life i never really realized i was that big till i saw
a picture and i'm like wow yeah and that's where i really got kind of like concerned because i was
like you know i never i just like i'm gonna die if i don't if i don't lose weight or put myself
in a better healthy but you know the whole thing is i don't think it's about losing weight i think
it was more about getting healthy first once you get your body healthy and your cells healthy
the weight will fall off because you know you a lot of things especially when you talk about cells
that i'm becoming an expert in looking at the whole cellulose thing yeah yeah we've had three
or four of these mitochondria yeah and obviously if you have inflammation around your cells the
good stuff can't get in the bad stuff can't get get out. So your body won't lose weight. It's just you're stuck in this unfortunate, like, prism of just unhealthiness.
So I felt like through all the things that we did and all the supplements and working out and changing my diet, I felt like I got healthy first, really.
And then the weight kind of came off.
Yeah, that's so good.
Simultaneously.
Because I remember, you know, we've had several calls and obviously in several Zooms since then.
You were like, I feel like an entire human being inside of me came out um you got emotional with
me one time which really really i get emotional now if you like yeah if you want to let it if you
start thinking about it yeah and people start when people come up to me like recently over the last
couple days uh people come up to me and say wow we haven't seen you in so long you look what you
look phenomenal.
Almost like crying with people because I feel like that's kind of what my goal
was to be able to tell people,
hey man, I'm not always been this
fat pig.
You know what I'm saying?
If I could really tell anybody else that's listening
to this podcast today that
if you feel like you don't have hope
or you feel like you've lost your motivation,
that there's always a better day.
Especially with your program. If you want to reach the goals,
I think, you know, I felt like I, I felt like I had, I was accountable to you. And if I'm accountable to somebody, you're accountable to something like that. I kept you very accountable.
You keep, you keep then you keep, you keep on the program. You feel accountable. If you don't feel
accountable to anybody, it's just you. Sometimes it's hard to motivate yourself. Yeah. And you
know, one of the things we also did was we kind of gamified this journey we said hey your triglycerides
are here we want to get them here your insulin is here we want to move that down your hemoglobin a1c
the three-month average your blood sugar we're gonna and and and you got so into those numbers
every time we talked you know especially the a1c because i was diabetic almost i mean 6.0
is like right on the brink of being diabetic.
At the end of the day, now when I look at my A1C and it's 4.8,
I feel that's my biggest accomplishment.
I feel like all the other things too.
Well, I don't use a CPAP machine.
That's another thing.
I've had a lot of clients come off CPAP.
Sometimes I kind of do use it because, you know, I'll be honest with you,
it gives me a good night's sleep.
Really, it does.
But I'll tell you something else.
Some of the other supplements I take before I go to bed like the the samorlan
type of thing yeah yep the samorlan i get this deep deep sleep i get i like i feel you take a
magnesium theanine and melatonin combination if people want to know what that is it's magnesium
theanine melatonin and it's very low dose melatonin it's only three milligrams however
some people don't do well with um melatonin they can take a magnesium three and eight
um at night and that usually helps restore good sleep.
I'll just tell you that I sleep phenomenally.
I wake up in the morning refreshed.
I can't wait to get up and go work out or do my thing for the day to start.
What's a general day like with you?
What has really changed emotionally?
My body wakes me up sometimes at 5.36 in the morning.
I do a lot of East Coast business, so I'm on the phone.
Are you waking up sore and achy like you used to do you feel like you got hit by a truck i feel
phenomenal because you told me you woke up in the mornings you used to feel like you got hit i could
get out of bed in the morning like i and i didn't want to get out of bed i would lay there for a
couple hours trying to get myself motivated to get and go to the office or get myself going
i wasn't working out then so you know the other day but now i've got this i i literally get up
in the morning i can't wait to get going work out put on my and i've all new gym clothes that kind of thing i go to the gym i have a gym
in my house then i go see my trainer monday wednesday wednesday friday saturday so but
end of the day i always have this new um found passion for wanting to get my day started and
get going because i feel so great you know and during the day i don't get tired i used to fall asleep at the wheel of my car driving home from the office
wow i don't get tired i feel like i've got you know bundles of energy like i can go you know i
could i could you know literally i finished my force myself to go to sleep usually around
no later than 10 o'clock usually around nine correct i like to get i like to get at least
eight hours of sleep you know sure and um and i find too when i use that um when i use the pmf situation pulse electromagnetic i put it i put it on the um tranquility tranquility
setting that's my favorite too then i feel like i feel like you know that puts me to sleep gives
me more but you know a lot of times i'll do my red light therapy too in the evening too because
i think it really relaxes my body and that gives me even a deeper sleep just from doing that but
i don't do it in the morning after i do my hypermax. Sometimes because I'm too, I don't have enough time,
I'll do it in the evening and I feel like it puts me to sleep too.
Yeah, it's so good.
You know, it is again about getting us back to the basics.
So that PEMF, Matt, is mimicking the magnetic current of the earth.
It's called the low Gauss current.
And the funny part, I listen to all your talks,
like even the blurbs on social media, on Instagram.
The one talk you were talking about where it like demagnifies your body
from all the cell phones and all the things and all the stuff
that your body is taking in all day long, getting rid of all that.
That's probably in itself just a huge benefit obviously too, right?
All the things that you take in.
Most of us have a very difficult time meeting our protein needs and certain protein
sources like whey protein and others can be as little as 20% absorbable.
This is 99% absorbable, and it has all of the essential amino acids that the body needs
to build lean muscle, to recover, to improve our exercise performance,
and most importantly, to repair after we have intense exercise. So this is called Perfect
Amino by Body Health. It's, like I said, 99% absorbable. It only has two calories. Eventually,
the caloric intake has virtually no caloric intake. It will not break a fast. It tastes
amazing. You mix it in in water i take this literally every
single morning if you're working out in a fasted state you have to take a full spectrum amino acid
prior to your workout to preserve your lean muscle and make sure that you're recovering properly and
again it will not break your fast so the caloric impact is virtually zero you get all the full
spectrum amino acids it tastes
wonderful i use it every single day you can go to bodyhealth.com forward slash ultimate that's
bodyhealth.com forward slash ultimate and look for the perfect aminos they actually come in capsules
if you're on the go or it becomes in several flavors that they make in a powder which i love
it's flavored with natural um natural means of flavoring,
so there's no artificial sweeteners in here.
So this is one of my absolute favorite products.
Give it a try.
If you're working out at all, you need a full-spectrum amino acid,
go to bodyhealth.com forward slash ultimate.
That's bodyhealth.com forward slash ultimate.
I love their lab-tested tested products you can actually see the
absorption rate for all of their products they've got great electrolyte protein combinations my
favorite is the perfect aminos bodyhealth.com forward slash ultimate and now back to the
ultimate human podcast but um you know emotionally what has happened like to your confidence level
your self-image your self-esteem
like how has it affected your relationships in your in your career obviously i'm single and so
you know and i unless you i was always somebody who had no problem dating or meeting people that
type of thing when i got heavy obviously it became harder now that i'm back in shape and i look better
my face looks better i can i have a hundred percent more confidence i have no problem meeting the opposite sex or anybody else even in business when i'm at meetings
or looking people right in the eye or feeling confident about who i am i mean i'm a leo
bigger than life always on stage leader not a follower that's who i am as a person right and i
have no problem i have no i was born with a lot of confidence right but i feel like yeah i feel
like i lost my inner soul who I was when I was not myself.
Now that I'm back,
I feel like I'm a completely different person
and my business dealings
or people I meet
or I'm proud to be looking them right in the eye
and looking as I feel like I look good
so I'm standing in front of somebody.
Before, I was like making excuses
about why I looked the way I looked.
Right.
It just was, it's a whole different mindset.
I mean, obviously you know this, right?
So you've heard this.
I do, but you know, I really, I love these kinds of vulnerable,
visceral, real podcasts because someone that's watching this is identifying with this right now
and going, you know what? More than someone, probably a lot of people. Yeah. I'm going to,
you know what? I've been inspired. I've been educated. I'm going to make the transformation.
Today's the day. And you don't have to do the transformation with me by any means,
or even with my team.
You need to get data on your body by getting a blood test that has a basic comprehensive metabolic panel, CBC, your lipids, your hormones, and your basic nutrient levels.
In fact, if you want, I'll even put the panel that we pull at our clinic.
I'll post that to either theultimate human.com or my social media so that
people can take it to their doctor get it done under their own insurance or if you're outside
of the country and you're not able to access one of our clinics you can just get this done on your
own you know the funny part is you're doing this big water fest coming up on tuesday yeah for three
days i got almost 50 000 people 50 000 people that are part of that right yeah well the group of
people that you have on your supplements 10x health and the things that you put out there like from you know because obviously you see it on
instagram you see all the ads 10x health that that's more than 50,000 people i'm sure and and
be honest that group like your your fasting group i mean those people all should have what you should
have a facebook group for just your people on 10x health that can share other stories
and give motivation to other people that are on that.
Give motivation on their programs.
I'll be honest.
I told you this briefly one day, but I don't know if you don't have a 10x health here in
Vegas.
I'd almost open one.
Get some investors to open one up.
Because I really, to be honest with you, it's kind of like pay it forward a little bit.
I tell everybody about your program and how I got where I am right now.
And in a short amount of time type of thing that it took me six months with
nothing. Right. So, but I've told people almost like you're, I'm like,
you're I'm preaching your, your whole program every day because I want to.
And I think that,
I think that if you had a Facebook group of just your 10 X health people,
we could all get together and talk about our stories and I think motivate each other.
That would be phenomenal.
I think that's a great idea. I set up a Facebook group for my
water fasting challenge. I have a
VIP group where I actually interact with those groups.
I want to continue
that because I think
one person's story is another person's motivation.
I would love to help everybody on that group.
Listen, this has not been a long
journey. No, six months. journey no six months yeah six months guys
and and how many pounds well here's the thing is six months today because tomorrow is 23 weeks
right but here's the thing i've been in pretty decent shape for the last couple months so it
didn't take long to really see good results i saw results the first month i remember but i mean
again i but i was seeing real results in two and a half months. Even my employees were going like, wow, you look great.
You know?
And I think they didn't think I could probably do it because, you know, I used to go out
and drink a lot and, and consume all kinds of garbage food, pizza and all this stuff.
I don't even hardly drink anymore.
Right.
You know, I'll have one or two drinks just in that, but I just, I just, because you know
what?
Not because I don't want to, I don't want to, I don't ever feel like I used to, you
know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
That's it.
But really I'm, I just can't say enough great things. And like, quite frankly I used to. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. That's it. But really,
I just can't say enough great things
and quite frankly,
here we are at the holidays
and my biggest Christmas gift
to myself was you.
Oh, thank you, brother.
That means a lot.
I don't say things I don't mean.
If anyone knows me out there
that's listening to this,
I don't say things I don't mean.
This is like the best thing
that ever happened to me.
Thank you.
And even my mom,
who's still 86 years old, lives here in Vegas and stuff you know thought oh yeah it's just something
you know this is not you're not going to follow with this nut type of thing you know i saw my mom
obviously at thanksgiving and she's wow you know she's like wow you know so those are all the things
that really is kind of like uh like the gratitude that you feel in your heart that you know you i
did it for myself and i feel this that whole feeling of doing something and reaching that goal
is 100% makes you 100% feel better.
Yeah.
And the fact that this occurred over a six-month period of time,
in six months is the blink of an eye.
Yeah.
Right?
And the other thing that I want to talk about, you know,
for the people that are possibly starting on this journey and are not yet motivated,
they just can't quite take that step that you took. You know know one of the things that you said that i really keyed in on was that you
felt the benefits early right and then once you felt the benefits then it was no longer a struggle
two weeks within two weeks i started feeling better you know two weeks the the supplements
that i was taking made my body feel better my diet and cleaning out my system obviously and
and doing keto and getting your body you know goes like you talked about autophagy earlier you know your body starts
eating its own fat which is basically what not just fat but it starts eating useless cells in
the body which are called senescent cells so you know but then and then i started to be able to
feel like i could walk faster you know one day all of a sudden i was walking somewhere here in
vegas i was walking and i thought you know i'm not even tired i'm not even huffing and puffing i mean
i felt like wow i remember you used to wheeze when you would sit no i could hear you trust me
i was i would wheeze driving the car like you know wow and and that whole thing so you know
my only benefit to even being you know obese obese was that because i worked out every day of my life
prior to the four years i didn't work out um my cardiologist said hey your heart's still in great
shape you don't have any blockages that type of thing so i felt like wow gee that was a bonus for me because i didn't feel like i was
you know but i did feel like you know with either blood pressure or sleep apnea or something i felt
like i was gonna die every day yeah remember you told me that you said i feel like my weight's
killing me no i mean i mean you look at me so many people don't know this about me but i'm 62 years
old yeah like most people think i'm probably late early mid-40s you know type of thing right so that and i think i feel like i look i got younger
looking just doing this but but i but to be honest i've you know that that to me do i have 62 to you
i'm 62 62 yeah it's great i'm on forgot how old i was
did your mom forget how old she was?
No, she knows.
It's awesome, man.
Well, listen, this has been amazing.
I'm so glad that we wrapped up this journey with this podcast.
We're going to actually, you know, show this entire journey from beginning to the middle
to the end.
Show the show the picture because that picture will let go.
Well, oh, yeah, that picture.
I'll make sure that we throw that one up.
I may have a couple more.
I'll send you.
And, you know, I end every podcast the same way.
I always ask my guests this question.
What does it mean?
And by the way, there's no right or wrong answer to this.
What does it mean to you to be an ultimate human?
I mean, first of all, I never knew that was even possible.
Like that was even out there as a possibility.
But the fact that I'm currently doing the whole ultimate human program
and the protocol and the,
all the things we've talked about,
uh,
it's phenomenal.
It's,
it's,
I can't even put into words,
uh,
how,
how happy that I am,
like how happy I am on a daily basis.
Cause my whole attitude has changed and people recognize that because I'm not
such a,
an asshole because I always felt like I was in a bad mood all the time.
Yeah.
So I,
what it means to me to be an ultimate human is priceless.
Yeah.
One word, priceless.
Amen.
Well, guys, I hope that this found its way onto the heart of somebody that needed to
hear these words today and that this inspires them or someone you know or someone you love
that you could forward this podcast to, to make a change, to be educated, to be inspired
and to make that transformation, to change their life because it can happen quickly.
And there's a whole new you inside of you if you are on the journey that Stefan is already
on the other side of. And as always, that is just science.
