Hey there and welcome to Wake Me Up.
Struggling to focus is something we all deal with.
whether you have clinical ADHD,
or you're just going through something
that's taking up a lot of your mental space.
This can leave us feeling restless, forgetful,
emotionally dysregulated,
hyperactive, disorganized,
simply struggling to manage ourselves.
The positive news is that these are all things we can improve.
And two of the best ways to do that are first,
First, through meditative and mindfulness practices,
and second, by working through our underlying belief systems.
And thankfully, affirmations like these are designed to serve both of these purposes.
The first half of these affirmations will be centered on getting you into a good headspace,
helping you slow and calm down.
The second half will be centered on rewiring,
your internal beliefs so that you do see yourself as focused and clear-headed.
That said, these affirmations are a tool, and they're not meant to replace you speaking
with your doctor or a medical professional.
Now, I do recommend that you find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and settle into
a meditative state.
And that's because it will reduce the amount of information that your brain needs to process
while you do this, making you more focused and these affirmations more effective.
But the truth is, you can do these affirmations in any way that you like.
You can repeat them out loud, in your mind, or simply listen along.
No matter how you choose to partake, let's begin with one nice deep breath together.
So inhale, fill all the way up through your chest and your belly, hold at the top,
and then exhale, release.
Just let that air fall back out.
Now let's begin with our affirmations.
I am calm.
I am slowing down.
I am taking my time.
I have no need to rush.
I am allowing myself to relax.
Uncapable of ease and comfort.
I am thinking more clearly.
I am releasing distractions.
I am letting go of what no longer.
I'm comfortable going at my own pace, comfortable living in my own way.
I am centered and peaceful in all that I do.
I am mindful of my needs and take time to fulfill them, impatient with myself.
I find joy in simple moments, gentle and understanding with myself at all times.
I focus on one thing at a time.
I am clear-headed and thoughtful, am free from the pressure of perfection.
I am enjoying the process.
Without rushing the results, I am giving myself the space to unwind.
I prioritize tranquility in my daily life.
I value slow and steady progress.
I am choosing calm over chaos and stable.
I am savoring each moment as it comes.
I'm accepting myself and my pace without judgment.
I am creating a calm environment around me.
I value my quiet time and allow myself to unwind.
I am releasing the need to control everything,
conserving my energy for what truly matters.
I am finding clarity and stillness.
I am trusting the flow of my life.
I am at peace with my inner.
inner and outer worlds.
I am letting go of unneeded stress.
I'm balancing my life with moments of calm.
I am at ease in the here and now.
Can be calm, collected, and focused.
Calm, collected, and focused.
All right, my friend.
Well, that's the last of our affirmations.
Now let's wrap up in the same way we began.
with one nice deep breath.
So inhale, take the deepest breath you've taken yet today.
Hold at the top.
Exhale, release, just let that air fall back out.
And if you had your eyes closed, when you're ready, you can reopen them and come out of that.
Well, my friend, I really hope you enjoyed these affirmations and that they've instilled
you with the sense of calm and focus.
Remember, no matter who you are, no matter what you've been through, you have the ability to affect who you are.
And the only time you can do that is now.
So if you're struggling to stay focused, if you can't stay on task, if you're feeling overwhelmed,
slow down, be here now.
You can find calm in every moment.
It lives within you.
And in the same way, so does a sense of focus.
So I hope you save this episode and come back whenever you need it.
And if there's somebody else who you know that might benefit from this episode,
then I hope you share it with them too.
Because calm and focus, those are such wonderful gifts to give someone.
And if you have a second before you go,
I'd love to hear from you through a comment or review
just to know how you're enjoying the show and what you think.
But that's all for now.
I really appreciate you being here and joining me.
I hope to see you back here soon on Wake Me Up.
And until next time, go out and have an absolutely fantastic day.
