Now, before our episode begins, here's a quick word from today's sponsors.
Hey there, and welcome to Wake Me Up.
My friend, we all have things in our past that we're not proud of,
we're excited about.
These affirmations are designed to help you refrain the pain, embarrassment, and regret of your
past.
Towards seeing it as a source of knowledge and growth.
After repeating these affirmations, you'll remember that we're all doing the best we can
with what we've got and that you don't need to be so hard on yourself.
Rather, you'll be focused on learning.
growing, moving on, and not repeating the same mistakes.
And feel free to do these affirmations in any way that you'd like.
Repeating them out loud, just in your mind,
or even finding a nice comfortable place to meditate.
However you're going to do them,
let's begin with one nice deep breath together.
So inhale, filling all the way up into your chest.
chest and down into your belly. Hold at the top and then exhale, release. Fantastic.
Now just relax and let's begin our affirmations.
Ding, I'm living in the here and now. I am not defined by my past. I can redefine myself
every day. I am capable of change starting right now. I appreciate the lessons.
my past has taught me.
I am using my experience to create a better future.
I am letting go of what no longer serves me.
I deserve to be able to move on from my past.
I forgive myself.
I choose healing over regret and rumination.
I accept myself and my past unconditionally.
I am moving forward with grace and strength.
I seek to understand my past rather than blame myself for it.
I accept my past decisions, knowing that I did them for a reason.
I choose to use my wounds as a source of strength and knowledge.
I am free from regret.
I am embracing my present and future.
I am releasing old stories and writing new ones.
I am stronger and smarter because of my past.
I am ready to step into a new chapter.
I am free to begin again lies in this moment.
I feel the weight of past mistakes leaving my body.
I am choosing growth over guilt.
I treat myself with empathy and kindness.
I am free to create a new story.
I am forgiving.
I am releasing.
I am moving on.
I welcome new possibilities.
I trust in the journey of my life.
I am proceeding in life with an open heart and mind.
I am excited for my next chapter.
Well, that's the last of our affirmations.
Let's wrap up in the same way we began
with a nice deep breath together.
So inhale, collecting any lingering pain, regrets, or embarrassment from your past.
And as you exhale, just let all of that go one final time.
Releasing it, expelling it from your body.
And as you slowly open your eyes, move towards your next breath,
and carry on with your day.
Remember that your past is just a chapter.
It's not the whole story.
Choose to retake control over your life right now.
If you are constantly dwelling on your past,
then you're not in control.
You're giving the rest of your life to someone else, something else,
a situation or moment that doesn't even exist anymore.
So take the reins, my friend.
Everyone has a past full of so-called mistakes.
The power is in whether you allow yourself to be defined and limited by that.
As one of my favorites, Bob Ross says,
there are no mistakes, just happy accidents.
I think you're likely to find that if you move on from your past,
many of the things you were once embarrassed about or regretted
led you in one way or another to some of the best parts of your life.
So pick your head up, make yourself proud of who you are today.
Because that is where you find control.
That is where you find happiness and fulfillment.
And that's where you start becoming.
the person you've always wanted to be.
But that's all the time I have for now.
Thanks so much for choosing to be here with me today.
It's always a pleasure.
Before I go, I just want to let you know about a new channel I'm launching
that I'm super excited about.
It's called Sleep Escape.
And you can think about it as wake me up,
but for bedtime, and helping you get a good night's rest.
I'll put a link for it in the episode description,
and it would really mean a lot for me
if you took a minute or a night to check it out.
I appreciate you so much.
I hope to see you back here soon.
And until next time, go out
and have an absolutely fantastic day.
