You can begin by the first. finding a comfortable position. Seated, lying down, whatever works best for you, your body,
Starting point is 00:00:47 and the space you're in. Take a deep breath in through your nose and gently, slowly exhale through your mouth and closing your eyes, if you haven't already. Allow your face to soften, your jaw to relax and your shoulders to drop. In this meditation, we'll journey inward to meet the child version of you and heal any lingering inner child wounds so that this part of you, which carries wonder, joy, and curiosity, can live fully once again. So inhale again.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Nice and deep, nice and slow. Just let it go. There's no need to force anything. And just follow your breath for a few cycles, allowing it to draw you deeper and deeper within. Bring an image to mind. Visualize a place or a space that was important or significant in your childhood.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Maybe it's your childhood bedroom, a playground where you spent a lot of time. Maybe it was one of your classrooms at school. Whatever comes to mind, anything that feels easy to remember. And just begin to fill in all the details of that place. Notice every inch of the space. Any furniture or objects.
Starting point is 00:04:24 and the organization. Maybe there's a smell or a sound that you associate with this place. Bring into this scene the child version of you. See them in this space and they're all alone. But everything's fine, quiet, and completely safe. A moment just to observe them in this space. Notice how you can look at your, child self and this space that they're in with a more distant, objective perspective,
Starting point is 00:05:50 because you're now separate and in a different phase of life. With this perspective, step into this space yourself, kneel down or sit down next to that child version of you and allow them to notice you, meet their eyes, in a warm, loving gaze. And for just a moment, be present with them. Allow time to stand still. There's no rush.
Starting point is 00:07:06 There's no pressure. May you hear the following words as though you are speaking them to the child version of you. These words that they so needed to hear back then. and still need to hear now. You say to them, I see you. I love you, proud of you.
Starting point is 00:08:03 I know you are doing your best. In a world that didn't always make sense, there was more going on than you could understand. And still, you found a way to cope, survive, and get through. and you didn't do it perfectly, but that doesn't make you weak that you got through it shows just how strong you are.
Starting point is 00:09:00 You're never too much or not enough. You are simply trying to get by in a world that often asked too much of you far too soon and you did it.
Starting point is 00:09:20 You made it here. Look at me. I'm here. because of how brave and strong you are. I'm so proud of you. And I'll protect you now. I promise I will never abandon you and you don't have to carry all of these burdens all alone anymore.
Starting point is 00:10:04 You're safe here with me and I will love you forever. And just observe this moment between your present self and your child's self. Any feelings or actions that feel natural arise on their own. Maybe there are smiles, maybe there are tears, maybe there's a hug,
Starting point is 00:11:07 whatever it is, just let it come. And as you continue to sit here with the child version of you, may you let these, healing affirmations, wash over you,
Starting point is 00:11:54 as though the all-knowing version of yourself is speaking for your entire being. I am healing, I am safe, worthy of love. I deserve to be treated with kindness and compassion. I honor my younger self for all they overcame. I release the pressure to be perfect. of how far I've come.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Stay here with your inner child as long as you'd like. Know that they are always with you, living inside of you, and you can return to this place for that deeper connection anytime you'd like. If you're ready to begin closing out this meditation, then you can take a slow breath in, and as you exhale, Release any of those lingering childhood wounds and worries. And now you can gently begin to bring yourself back to the room. Maybe some gentle movements, like wiggling your fingers and toes,
Starting point is 00:14:39 just to wake the body. And when you're ready, slowly opening your eyes, gathering yourself, and coming out of that. Well, my friend, thank you for joining me here today. I really hope you enjoyed this meditation, and that it's brought you a sense of peace and some inner comfort and healing. If it did, then think about someone who might benefit from this practice too, and consider sharing it with them, because healing is something that's so much more effective and profound
Starting point is 00:15:22 when we do it with those we care about. And what a gift inner healing is to give. That's all for now. I'll see you back here soon. Until next time, go out and have an absolutely fantastic.
