Peace isn't something you go out and find.
It's who you already are.
It may be covered up at times by stress or problems or world events,
but it's always there in each and every one of us,
from the monks to the warriors.
No matter what day, year, or century,
the need to cultivate peace will always be present.
So I thank you for joining me here, wherever you are in the world,
and whenever in the timeline of humanity that you find yourself.
You are already a force for peace and positivity just by being here.
And we'll use this time together to cultivate a powerful and contagious sense of peace
that will spread all throughout the world.
So find a comfortable position that you'd like to meditate in.
Seated, lying down.
whatever works best for you, your body, and the space you're in.
And then take a nice deep breath all the way in.
And as you exhale, slowly allow your eyes to fall closed.
And just allow your body to settle in this first moment of meditation.
Lacks the muscles of your face.
Drop your jaw and let your shoulders soften down.
Notice that sensation of the air as it moves in and out.
Notice its temperature, texture, and appreciate how it's filled with life.
This is the same air that circles the entire planet.
And so with each breath, you are connecting to the collective pulse of the world.
And as you settle just that bit deeper with each moment,
leave behind all of the stuff that you carry with you throughout the day and throughout life.
Just for now, set aside your to-do lists, your memories,
and your worries about the world.
All of your thoughts, the stories you tell yourself about,
about who you are, about what life is,
and about how things are supposed to be losing these things.
You can pick them back up later, but for now,
just explore your own existence without all of this stuff
that we carry from the outside world.
And with each thought that arises,
Just notice whether it's something that you've learned or picked up from the outside world.
And if it is, set it aside for now.
Come back to the breath and keep peeling back these layers, removing these thoughts,
until all you're left with is pure existence.
You put down all of this stuff.
All you're left with is your being.
your breath, your own existence.
That's it.
And when you find this, you'll notice that it's calm, it's quiet, it's timeless.
It's here in this pure existence that we can begin to see that peace is always present.
It lives in each of us.
Or maybe even better said,
it is each of us.
It's in you,
it's in me,
it's in the animals and the trees.
And this confronts us with the truth
that we are made of the same things,
the same source,
as everyone and everything else.
regardless of where they come from or what they believe.
Every human being carries this same flicker of life,
this timeless peace inside of their being.
We're all fueled by the same sun.
We all walk the same planet and breathe the same air.
We're not separate pieces, but a vast and intercal.
connected web of life. And so when you cultivate peace within yourself, you're cultivating it
throughout the entire web as well. And it's easy to think that we have to do a thousand things
to spread peace throughout this web of life. But peace begins within yourself. And when you cultivate
peace within, the energy and the interactions you share with the rest of the web, change as well.
You spread peace simply by being peace. So begin to visualize yourself, moving through your
corner of the world. Notice how, when you are calm and respectful, that sense of peace becomes
infectious. Others can feel the kindness and acceptance in your presence. Notice what it looks like
when that sense of peace spreads. Because it's not by shouting or being loud. It's not about telling
anyone what to do, how to be, or what to believe. Peace is quiet. It shows in the form of
listening, understanding, understanding, and respecting. Peace rears its head through unconditional acceptance
and kindness. Your peace leads problems to be avoided, not because you say anything, but because
you accept everyone. And when everyone feels seen and heard, they will no longer raise a fight.
All of this is possible
simply through the peace you cultivate in yourself right now.
Like a stone dropped into a perfectly still pond,
the ripple starts in your own heart.
It spreads to your friends and family,
to your community, continues to spread
through your country and throughout the entire world.
And when it reaches the world,
edge, it bounces back,
to spread infinitely across time and space.
Simply by being kind, understanding, and respectful in your own corner of the world.
You are emitting a frequency of peace that others can't help but feel and notice.
No option but for your peace to spread itself.
who are showing the world what peace looks like.
That creates a desire for peace in others.
So envision the wave of peace that you're creating here,
expanding across the oceans,
over the borders of every community,
every nation.
See the ripples of your peace,
washing over areas of conflict,
stamping the fires of division.
It all begins with the kindness,
the acceptance,
the understanding,
and the respect that you give to yourself
and those who are immediately in your life.
We are here to support life,
to protect it, to honor it,
to feel that deep sense of sound.
satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from knowing you are of force for positivity and peace in this world.
So let's repeat a few mantras for peace together.
And you can just follow after me.
May peace begin with me.
May my peace be a gift to others.
May all beings be free from suffering.
May peace begin with me.
My peace be a gift to others.
May all beings be free from suffering.
Now slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your physical body, noticing the touch of whatever's supporting it.
Maybe bringing some gentle movements just starting to wake your body back up.
And whenever you're ready, you can open your eyes and come out of that.
and may you carry this sense of contagious peace with you.
Remember that you have the power to change the world
by being the peace you wish to see.
And from the bottom of my heart,
