Starting point is 00:00:29 Thanks so much for you. for listening, and I hope you have a fantastic day. Hi, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Wake Me Up, the podcast where morning people are made. I'm your host, Tyler. Thank you so much for tuning in today. You know those people who walk into the room and immediately you can feel their presence? It's as if just them being there changes the energy, the vibe of the room. Well, there's nothing obtainable about that quality. It's a skill, and today we'll work on developing it. Now, let's go ahead and get started. Wherever you are, find a comfortable seat.
Starting point is 00:01:21 If you're still in bed, take a deep breath, roll over, climb out of bed, and just relax in a chair. This is an easy meditation. It doesn't require you to move or do a little. anything difficult. So just make your way out of bed and into a nice comfortable seat. We all know those people who seem to command attention without even really trying. Other people tend to gravitate to them. And maybe you haven't seen one in real life, but you've certainly seen one on TV or something like that. What is it about these people that makes them so compelling? Well, it's not their DNA or anything like that. It's their presence.
Starting point is 00:02:15 It's their ability to be completely present in the moment wherever they are. There's a certain energy, a certain confidence and comfort that comes with presence. These people exude it, and the rest of us can sense it. Humans are highly intelligent beings, and we sense far more than we're ever ever. really aware of. So how do you cultivate this essence of presence? Well, you start by getting comfortable in your own skin, your own body. You tune in very closely to yourself, and slowly, with practice, you can begin to expand that presence to the space around you, the room you're in, and even farther beyond. Now, this is not something you'll develop overnight,
Starting point is 00:03:09 but practicing this ability to tune in with yourself and everything around you is really something special. And it will help you in ways beyond just commanding a room. I'll talk more about that at the end, but for now, let's dive right in. So at this point, you should be in a seated position, upright but relaxed and comfortable. Let your face soften, let your shoulders drop,
Starting point is 00:03:42 and let your jaw relax. Take a deep inhale all the way into your belly. And when you exhale, gently close your eyes. Let's take one more breath together. Inhale, hold it for a moment at the top, and then exhale. You can breathe at your own pace. And as usual, just let your attention rest on the rise and fall of your breath. We'll take a moment here, just to draw within.
Starting point is 00:04:31 and get nice and settled.
