Hey there, and welcome to Wake Me Up.
I'm Tyler, your host, as always, and I'm so thrilled that you're here today.
In this episode, we're continuing on this week's theme of using our emotions productively
and how we can use feelings to drive us towards our goals.
What we're going to do today is a series of positive affirmations
that will retrain your self-talk.
That's that little voice in the back of your head.
Affirmations are a really powerful tool
to boost your positive opinion of yourself,
your confidence, and your abilities.
And you can do them however you'd like.
You can simply listen,
you can repeat them out loud,
or you can repeat them in your mind.
For a deeper experience, you can get into a meditative state by closing your eyes and removing any other distractions.
But regardless of how you're going to do these affirmations, let's all just pause and take one deep breath before we begin.
So inhale all the way into your belly, and then slowly exhale and release.
And let's begin.
I am the master of my emotions.
All emotions are temporary.
I am honest with myself and others about my feelings.
I use my emotions as information.
My feelings can help me succeed.
My emotions reveal my subconscious needs and desires.
I am able to stay calm and stressful situations.
I am able to enjoy moments of happiness,
fully. I am a great regulator of my emotions. I welcome the lessons that my feelings provide.
I use my emotions to guide my journey. I do not bury my emotions. I allow feelings to arise naturally.
I seek to understand the roots of my emotions. Emotions are simply a sensation of my body
that I can use as a tool.
I am in control of my emotions at all times.
All right, let's do all of those one more time around.
I am the master of my emotions.
All emotions are temporary.
I am honest with myself and others about my feelings.
I use my emotions as information.
My feelings can help me succeed.
My emotions reveal my suburb.
conscious needs and desires. I am able to stay calm and stressful situations. I am able to enjoy
moments of happiness fully. I am a great regulator of my emotions. I welcome the lessons that my
feelings provide. I use my emotions to guide my journey. I do not bury my emotions. I allow feelings
to arise naturally.
I seek to understand
the roots of my emotions.
Emotions are simply
a sensation of my body
that I can use as a tool.
I am in control of my emotions
at all times.
All right, that's our last one.
So take a deep breath in
and on your exhale,
if your eyes were closed,
you can open them
and just gather yourself.
All right, so that's the end
of our affirmations.
I hope you enjoyed them.
And if you want to get the most out of affirmations,
then it's really important that you come back and repeat them routinely.
What we're doing with affirmations is retraining the brain,
retraining our self-talk.
And to do that, we have to repeat.
That's why we go through all of these affirmations twice in the episode.
And to really seed them deeply in your mind,
it's important that you do them over multiple days.
So I do recommend that you come back
and do these again a couple more times.
Now that's all for today.
I'll talk to you soon.
And until then, go out
and have an absolutely fantastic day.
