Now before our episode begins, here's a quick word from our sponsors.
Hey there, welcome back to Wake Me Up.
I'm Tyler, and I'm thrilled that you're here today.
This week, we've been talking about managing the ego,
and more specifically, around the idea of being okay when you're wrong.
The simple truth is that there is an infinite amount of knowledge to be had in the world,
and no single one of us is ever going to have anywhere close to all of it.
So the more we can open our minds and our hearts to new ideas,
and the reality that nobody knows everything,
the more joy we're going to find in life
and the more exciting we're going to find every day
because every day holds the opportunity to learn something new.
Today, we'll be doing some positive affirmations
to help these ideas sink a little bit deeper into the mind.
So you can do these affirmations in any way you'd like.
You can just listen along,
you can repeat them out loud,
or you can repeat them in your mind.
For the deepest experience, you can get into a meditative state by finding a comfortable position and closing your eyes.
But no matter how you choose to do these affirmations, let's begin by taking a deep breath.
So inhale and fill all the way up.
Hold at the top.
And then exhale, release.
Fantastic.
Now, let's begin our affirmation.
I release the need to prove myself to others.
I embrace humility.
I am constantly learning and growing.
I am confident in who I am without needing validation from others.
I don't need to be right all of the time.
I am open to feedback and constructive criticism,
and I use it to improve myself.
I am open to new ideas and ways of living,
and thinking. I am in control of my thoughts and emotions. I am not defined by my possessions or
accomplishments, but by who I am as a person. I'm always looking for ways to improve and grow. I recognize
the value in seeking help and support from others when I need it. I am comfortable being wrong
and accept that it is a natural part of the learning process. I am valuable.
and important, no matter if I'm right or wrong.
My worth is defined by how I treat myself and others.
I accept my imperfections.
I am comfortable being vulnerable.
Great.
Let's do all of those one more time around.
I release the need to prove myself to others.
I embrace humility.
I am constantly learning and growing.
I am confident.
in who I am without needing validation from others.
I don't need to be right all of the time.
I am open to feedback and constructive criticism, and I use it to improve myself.
I am open to new ideas and ways of living and thinking.
I am in control of my thoughts and emotions.
I am not defined by my possessions or accomplishments, but by who I am as a person.
I am always looking for ways to improve and grow.
I recognize the value in seeking help and support from others when I need it.

I accept my imperfections.

Inns our affirmations.
Let's wrap up the same way we started with a deep breath.
So inhale and fill all the way up.
Hold for a second at the top.
And then exhale, release.
And just take a moment to come out of that and reset.
All right, my friend, I hope you found this week's episodes helpful.
Managing the ego is a lifelong process.
It never ends because we're always learning more about the world
and especially about ourselves.
And it's a process that I'm honored to be taking part in along with you.
But that's it for today's episode.
I'll talk to you soon and until then, go out and have a fantastic day.
