Now before our episode begins, here's a quick word from our sponsors.
Hey there, good morning and welcome to Wake Me Up.
I'm Tyler, your host, and I'm so glad.
that you're here today. It's always a pleasure to have you here with me. This week, we've been
talking about taking ownership of our lives. Taking responsibility for our lives can give us control
back. It puts us in the driver's seat. Because when we blame others or the circumstances for things
that aren't going our way, it fails to recognize that we're playing a part in that too. So
Today, we're back for affirmations on this same theme.
Now, if you're in bed, use this opportunity to roll over and make your way up,
even if that means just sitting on the edge of your bed for now.
Like we've been talking about this week, it's up to you to change your life.
Nobody else can do it for you.
So if you're struggling to get out of bed, start now and get a small win to get your day going in the right way.
And once you're up, you can do these affirmations in any way you'd like.
You can simply listen along while you go for a walk or make some breakfast.
You can repeat them out loud or silently in your mind.
And for the deepest experience, you can get into a meditative state
by finding a comfortable position and closing your eyes.
But no matter how you choose to do these affirmations,
let's begin by taking one deep breath.
So inhale, fill all the way up.
Hold and then exhale, release.
And if you want to close your eyes, now's a good time to do that.
Let's begin with our affirmations.
I am in control of my own life and happiness.
I take full responsibility for my words and actions.
I trust myself to make wise decisions and choices.
I'm completely honest with myself.
I recognize where I am biased.
I am committed to my own growth and improvement.
I treat myself with honesty and kindness.
I take ownership of my mistakes.
I forgive myself for my mistakes.
I see everything in life as a learning opportunity.
I alone can create the life I envision.
I am the captain of my own.
own ship. And I am the author of my own story. All right, great. Now let's do all of those one more
time again. I am in control of my own life and happiness. I take full responsibility for my words
and actions. I trust myself to make wise decisions and choices. I am completely honest with
myself. I recognize where I am biased. I am biased. I am
committed to my own growth and improvement. I treat myself with honesty and kindness. I take ownership
of my mistakes. I forgive myself for my mistakes. I see everything in life as a learning opportunity.
I alone can create the life I envision. I am the captain of my own ship and I am the author of my own story.
Fantastic.
Well, that wraps up our affirmations.
Let's close out in the same way we began with one deep breath.
So inhale, fill all the way up.
Deepest breath you've taken today.
Hold at the top.
And then exhale, release.
And if you had your eyes closed, now's a great time to reopen them.
My friend, I hope you remember, no one can change.
change your life for you. If you're in a slump, you can rely on others for support. But ultimately,
the change toward more positive thinking has to happen in your own mind. So the sooner you take
responsibility for your own life, your own state of being, the sooner you can start to form
them into that vision you've got, the vision of a better, happier, and more fulfilling life. You are
the author of your own story. So be sure to write a story that you'll want to remember. Thanks so much
for tuning in today. I'll be back tomorrow for a mindful minute diving into some more practical
guidance on this topic. It will be exclusive to Wake Me Up Premium supporters. So if you're interested
in hearing that episode, now is a great time to grab a seven-day free trial and check it out.
Until next time, go out. Take ownership.
of your life and have an absolutely fantastic day.
