Now before our episode begins, here's a quick word from our sponsors.
Hey there, and welcome back to Wake Me Up.
This week, our theme is living your truth.
And today, we'll be doing a meditation that will help you figure out who you are and find peace within.
If you can find enjoyment, comfort, and acceptance inside yourself, then you will feel more free to be authentic in the outside world.
So let's not waste any time.
Let's go ahead and dive right in.
find a comfortable position that you'd like to meditate in.
And once you've found that position,
just allow your body to settle.
A deep breath in, fill all the way up,
and as you exhale, slowly close your eyes.
The state of the mind often follows the state of the body.
So if you allow your body to relax, so will your mind.
and a few things that can help with that
are softening your face,
releasing your jaw,
relaxing your shoulders down.
And for this first moment or so,
you can simply follow the rise and fall of your own breath,
allowing each one to take you deeper and deeper within.
Now that you've had a moment to settle,
Imagine that there's a staircase leading down into the depths of yourself.
And this staircase can look in any way that you'd like.
Takes you to the deepest part of you.
And so you begin to step down these stairs, one by one, down the first stair.
Slowly feeling yourself draw deeper within.
Down the second stair, feeling your face relax as you do.
Down the third stair, feeling even more at ease.
Down the fourth and the fifth stairs.
Beginning to lose touch with the outside world, down the sixth and the seventh stairs.
Down the eighth, now you are completely relaxed.
down the ninth stair.
And finally, as you step down the tenth stair,
you reach this place,
this place where you are the most yourself,
the true center of your being,
here, in this space,
you are the real you,
beyond the drama, the stories,
the thoughts and identifications of your mind.
Here, you are not your thoughts.
You are not your emotions.
And you are not the roles you play on the outside.
Here, you are safe.
And you can be yourself.
Here, you can believe what you want to believe.
You can do all of the things that you want to do.
but haven't because of fear, embarrassment, or shame.
Here, you can tell people how you really feel.
Here, there are no secrets.
There's nothing to hide.
And you can be exactly as you are.
Here, there is no judgment.
There is no shame.
There is only.
acceptance and belonging.
Take a moment and envision what this space inside of you looks like.
Create it in exactly the way you like.
Remember that this space resides in you always.
You can come here at any time because this place is you.
You can't share it with anyone.
That is, you can't bring anyone here.
here. This is you. It's only your space. It happens in this place. Can radiate into the world outside.
The safety, the peace, the comfort you feel here. And simply being you can go with you into the world
if you so choose. You can share it with others in your words and your actions.
You can share it by being true to this place within you, by being true to you.
And if someone on the outside doesn't accept some part of you, that's perfectly fine.
You don't need that.
You don't need their acceptance.
Because you are accepted unconditionally here.
All right.
It's time to.
return to the outside world. So take one more look around. Remember what this place looks like
and how it feels and send a silent thank you to this place, this deepest part of you,
for being here for you, for accepting you, for letting you be such an awesome person. And then turn
and head back up those stairs
out of the depths of yourself.
One by one,
climbing those stairs,
coming back to the outside world.
And as you ascend,
you start to notice and feel
whatever's supporting your body right now.
You notice the sounds going on around you
and you feel the air
on your skin.
Take one final deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
slowly open your eyes and gather yourself.
All right, my friend,
I hope you enjoyed that meditation
and that it helped you to find some acceptance of yourself,
some peace within,
and a little bit of a deeper understanding
of who you truly are.
Nothing feels better than being able to be who you want to be.
And so I hope that you found that in this meditation.
And if you did, I hope that you come back to this place within you.
And I hope that you let it shine out into the world.
Tomorrow, I'll be back with a series of positive affirmations on this exact same theme.
So I'll see you there.
And until then, go out and have an absolutely fantastic day.
