Now before our episode begins, here's a quick word from our sponsors. Hey there, and welcome to Wake Me Up. Today we're back for a meditation on this week's theme of spring and rebirth. This is one of my favorite meditations, as it really gets you to a place of renewal and hope for the new season. There's so much wisdom that nature has to offer us, and we can mirror that wisdom within ourselves by leaning into the natural cycles of the seasons.
Starting point is 00:00:53 In fall, we let go of what no longer serves. serves us. In winter, we rest and we recharge. And now that it's spring, it's time to grow and expand in new directions. So let's go ahead and turn to our meditation. If you're still in bed, use this opportunity to roll over and make your way up and out of bed and find your way to a comfortable position that you'd like to meditate in. I recommend that you meditate sitting up. And that's because it helps us remain attentive and not fall asleep. But I know we all have different spaces and different preferences. So do what works best for you. Once you've found that comfortable position, allow yourself to settle in. Let go of any tension you're holding onto.
Starting point is 00:01:54 And take a deep breath in. As you exhale, slowly close your eyes. Use this first moment to settle in. Begin shifting your focus inward, resting your focus on the breath. Or maybe a point of tension that you could help relax, breathe naturally at your own pace. But try to keep it soft and slow. There's no need to rush here. Let the muscles in your face relax. Let your limbs become heavy. And as you follow your breath, your breath for this first moment or so, you'll find that it will slowly draw you deeper and deeper
Starting point is 00:03:33 within. All right. Now that you're settled in, visualize at the center of your heart, a little seed. And this seed has just been planted. And this seed can be anything you want. What do you want to grow from this seed? What would you like to see it become? What would you like to see yourself become? Set an intention for what your seed will bring to your life and allow your whole being to nurture that seed, to love it, to give it everything that it needs.
Starting point is 00:05:38 And as you nurture it, you begin to see the natural cycle of growth beginning. Watch as the seed expands, as it unfurls and unfolds from your heart, extending throughout your whole body. As this seed slowly becomes a plant, so too your intention for that seed unfolds as if it's the most natural process
Starting point is 00:06:41 that you could experience, your own ability, to be reborn, to grow anew. It happens naturally, without effort. And soon, this seed begins to blossom. This intention begins to shine out, and you can see your entire life flourishing with it. Your seed, your intention, spreads its roots into every aspect,
Starting point is 00:07:40 of your life. It touches every corner, every relationship, every creation, every place you go, and every moment. And this process of blooming happens with ease. It's natural. Like a force of nature the same as a tree or a flower would bloom. You bloom. You bloom. to without resistance. What does that feel like? To allow this intention to grow from within you and expand throughout your life. Savor that feeling in your body now for a moment.
Starting point is 00:09:19 We're nearing the end of our meditation. So allow your mind to wander wherever it would like for this last 30 seconds or so. All right. It's time to wrap up our meditation. now. So begin to bring yourself back. Notice whatever's supporting you, whether it's a chair or the floor or something else. Notice the air on your skin and any sounds going on around you. Take one final deep breath in. The deepest one yet. Hold at the top and then exhale, release, slowly open your
Starting point is 00:10:39 eyes and gather yourself. I hope you enjoyed that meditation, and I hope you enjoyed seeing the blooming, the blossoming of yourself. Remember that intention you set. Whatever goal, whatever direction you'd like to take your life right now, let that be your seed. Water it. Care for it.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Tend that soil. And soon, you will be growing. growing, planting roots, and blossoming. You are a part of nature, and therefore your growth is as natural as everything else growing around you right now, the trees, the flowers, the little baby animals. Give yourself permission to release whatever's holding you back,
Starting point is 00:11:46 and step into a newer, more improved version of you. Thanks again for being here, my friend. I'll be back tomorrow with affirmations on this same theme, so I hope to see you there. Until then, go out and have a fantastic day.
