Hey there, welcome to Wake Me Up.
I'm your host Tyler, as always.
Thanks for being here.
We're back today for a meditation on this week's theme, writing your own story.
And in this meditation, you'll visualize the potential for a new outlook on your life.
You'll feel clear in your intention to create whatever it is that you want to make out of life.
And you'll feel empowered to do exactly that.
So let's go ahead and get started.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position anywhere in your home will do.
I recommend sitting up and sitting somewhere that's not your bed.
But whatever your preference is works just fine.
And once you've found that comfortable position, just let everything soften down.
You want to feel supportive.
but relaxed.
Take a deep breath in,
fill all the way into your belly,
and on your exhale,
slowly close your eyes.
Take this first moment just to get settled,
and a few things that can help with that
are softening your face,
dropping your jaw,
and relaxing your shoulders down.
Follow that natural rise and fall
of your own breath for just a minute
and get settled in.
Now that you're settled,
shift your,
your focus away from your breath and turn it to your entire body. Whatever you feel like right
now, whatever your energy levels are, just try to let them be. Take a moment just with yourself,
trying to accept you for exactly what you are right now. In this moment, you have nothing to fix
and nothing to change. And as you draw deeper and deeper into this moment of stillness,
understand that the way your life looks right now
is exactly the way it's supposed to look
and that includes anything you want to change about it too
so with each breath
just settle in a little deeper
accepting your present state
for everything that it is
now that we've moved into a state of acceptance
let's create some feelings of gratitude for where we're at
So visualize something or someone in your life that you're truly grateful for.
See it or see them.
And allow yourself to fill up with appreciation.
Recognize how you only made it here to this moment with this thing or person being in your life.
This is part of your story.
So fill up even deeper with that feeling of gratitude.
and let the feeling become bigger and bigger.
Let it expand throughout your whole body.
So now you can let go of that person or thing you were visualizing.
Take a moment just to reset.
And in its place, visualize something in your life that you'd like to call in,
create, or change.
A narrative you'd like to adjust.
Or a new storyline you'd like to write altogether.
And you may have many things that come to mind.
I certainly do.
But for now, whatever comes to mind first, just stick with that.
Try to see it as a real thing, something that you can hold or be with.
Even if it's just a feeling, see it as part of your story.
Envision the various ways it comes into your life and takes part.
What part of you does this help address?
In other words, what about you?
you will feel more fulfilled by changing this narrative or writing this new story with your life.
How does it help you create the life that you want? Now simply enjoy this moment, creating,
ideating, brainstorming, and bringing into existence the story that you want to live. All right,
now you can let go of all of the visuals and just let your mind go wherever it wants for this last
minute or so. All right. Now it's time to wrap up our meditation. So begin to bring yourself back
and just notice whatever's supporting you, whether it's the chair or a couch or the floor. Notice the air
on your skin and any sounds going on around you. Take one last big breath in and on your exhale,
slowly open your eyes and just take a second to gather yourself. All right. So hopefully after this
meditation, you've gained some clarity on what you want out of your personal story, and you're
feeling energized to go out and create it. You have the power to make anything out of life that you
want. Your life can look and feel exactly the way you visualize it to be in your mind.
After all, if we can imagine something, then we're capable of creating it and we're worthy of
enjoying it.
Gratitude is the key in everything that we do, and the way we move from our day-to-day routine,
in our relationships, and our morning meditation practice too.
So use that sense of gratitude that you already have and turn that to your own story of life.
You have been given this beautiful opportunity, and that's a really wonderful gift,
so you should make the most use of it that you can.
A really easy way to start is by asking yourself this.
What changes to my story can I make today
so that my life can feel the way I want it to feel tomorrow?
And be grateful for the way your story has unfolded so far
because it got you here.
Now that's all for this episode.
I'll see you back here tomorrow for some affirmations on this week's theme.
Until then, go out and have a fantastic day.
