Good morning and welcome to Wake Me Up, the podcast where morning people are made.
As you look toward this brand new day,
remember that the worthwhile things in life don't come freely and quickly.
The meaningful things, the ones that bring fulfillment,
they can't be easy.
Otherwise, they wouldn't be nearly as fulfilling.
The key to achieving any goal of real meaning, personal or professional, is patient persistence.
And that's what we'll focus on this morning.
But before we get there, let's pause real quick and enjoy a moment of peace and quiet before the day begins.
And we'll do that with a couple of deep breaths.
So wherever you are, take a big inhale.
Fill all the way into your belly.
Hold it at the top for just a second.
And then exhale.
Let it all go.
One more time.
Inhale, fill even deeper.
Hold it.
And exhale.
If you're in bed, roll over and make your way to standing up.
All right.
Now that we're all up and out of bed,
Feel free to go about your morning routine.
Make your coffee or your tea.
Go for your walk.
Whatever you like.
And while you do, allow me to be your morning companion.
And I'll circle back to that idea of patient persistence.
It's the key to achieving all of your dreams and goals,
the way to maximize your days and your potential.
My friends, any goal takes time.
The grander it is, then usually the longer it takes.
That's why patience is so critical.
There are going to be moments when your progress is halted,
times when your focus is pulled elsewhere by other priorities.
We must be patient enough to know that this is inevitable,
and have the resolve to stick with it.
With the right perspective, time is our friend,
not our enemy.
And that's also where persistence comes in.
There will be times of frustration.
There will be setbacks.
And the ability to overcome them is critical.
We have to be relentless about doing what needs to be done
for as long as it takes.
We have to adopt a never-give-up attitude.
If you want something valuable,
like financial success,
personal or career growth, deep fulfillment.
It should be hard to get.
If it was easy, everyone would have it already.
The fact that it requires work makes it all the more fulfilling.
Remember that the day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.
You have to tend to the plant routinely, through good weather and bad, through sickness and health.
That's the only way to reap the reward.
Trust your process and believe in yourself.
Know that you are capable of anything and everything.
If you practice hard enough and long enough,
path is never straight.
It's never flat.
There will always be twists and turns, ups and downs.
You must have the patience to walk the long road.
and the persistence to adapt to its changes.
So whatever you're chasing in life right now,
remember this.
Patience combined with persistence will always lead to success.
That's all for this episode.
I hope you enjoyed it,
and I hope you're excited for the day lying ahead of you.
I'll talk to you soon.
And until then, go out, be patient, be persistent,
and have an absolutely fantastic day.
I really hope you enjoyed this episode.
A good morning is such a gift, isn't it?
It's the key to a happier and more productive day
and ultimately a better life.
And that's why I make this show.
So if you're enjoying it,
why not send one of your favorite episodes to a friend?
You never know.
You might just make their day and change their life.
Thank you.
