And I'm excited to tell you that the new music you hear in this episode was made.
by yours truly. I hope you enjoy it.
Hi friends, and welcome to wake me up.
I'm Tyler, your host, as always.
I'm so thrilled that you're here with me today.
This week, we've been working on trusting yourself.
In yesterday's meditation, we practice some self-awareness
by learning to listen to your own intuition.
In today's motivation, we'll focus on a few different aspects of trusting yourself,
namely self-love and self-confidence.
And we'll end with some affirmations
designed to help seed those things deeper within you.
If you're still in bed,
then I'd recommend starting with Monday's Wake Up and Stretch episode,
which will get you up and going,
and then you can come back here to get motivated if you'd like.
But wherever you are, whatever you're doing,
just pause for a moment.
And bring to mind something
that makes you happy to be you.
Perhaps it's an accomplishment you're proud of,
a trait you have, or a skill,
or even a moment where you were uniquely yourself.
Take a deep breath in
and fill up with appreciation for yourself.
And then exhale and just let it all go.
Once more now, even deeper this time,
inhaling, filling with appreciation,
and then exhale, release.
return to whatever you were doing
and go about your morning routine.
Whatever would make your morning a good one,
I recommend you do that.
And while you do,
I'll turn to some ideas
that will help foster self-love,
self-confidence,
and above all, trust in yourself.
First, recognize that all love
starts with self-love.
Your mind and body
are what allow you to experience everything in life.
Without them, you wouldn't know love, much less anything else.
So you have yourself to thank for everything good you've ever enjoyed.
Despite that, though, we all end up in thought patterns where we blame or guilt trip ourselves.
Usually, that's because we regret something from our past.
We wish we'd done something differently, gone down a different path than we did.
But here's the thing.
everything you've done in life you did for a reason.
You did what you thought was best for you at the time,
knowing what you knew then.
And you can't be faulted for not knowing more
or seeing things more clearly now.
Everything is more clear in hindsight.
So give yourself a little latitude,
a little wiggle room to make choices,
maybe mess up and grow from them.
Recognize all that you would have missed out on
if you had done things differently.
You wouldn't have learned the lessons you've learned.
You might even be worse off.
It's impossible to say.
The point is, there's no use in blaming yourself.
One thing's for sure.
The lessons we learned from our past
are all the more reason to trust ourselves in the present.
Which just goes to show that you can believe in yourself.
You are fully capable of figuring out what's
best for you. That takes some trial and error, though. Nobody finds their way on the first try.
We all have blunders, but mistakes shouldn't be a reason to lose self-confidence. I think that,
if anything, it should be the opposite. The more you've done, the more you've tried, and the more
you've messed up, the more you know, the more equipped you are to avoid those pitfalls in the future.
So don't blame yourself.
Instead, listen to yourself even more.
Love yourself even more.
And believe in yourself even more.
You are worthy of all of those things.
You've earned them.
And above all other people,
you deserve to give those things to yourself.
Now, let's turn to some affirmations
that will help strengthen these ideas.
ideas in you. So repeat after me. I know what's best for me. I listen to my own intuition.
I don't make mistakes. Only happy accidents. I am fully capable of finding my own way. I don't blame
myself for my past. I am constantly improving. I always do the best I can with what I've got.
A lesson learned is a problem avoided. Accepting my past.
makes my future even better.
I am capable of creating a fulfilling, happy life.
I'm comfortable blazing my own trail.
I value making my own decisions and learning from them.
Anything that comes my way, I can figure it out.
I've made mistakes before and come back from them,
so I know I can do it again.
I can do anything.
I love myself.
I believe in my life.
myself. I trust in myself. Well, friends, that's all for now. I hope you are feeling full of
self-belief and self-love. You certainly deserve it. And I hope that after this week's episodes,
you've regained that trust in yourself that you were born with. You know deep down that you can
trust yourself above everyone else. You've got to.
You're the only person that you'll go through all of life with.
I hope you are your number one teammate and your number one fan.
I certainly believe in you, and I trust that you have all of the skills and knowledge
to create a happy, fulfilling, healthy life, whatever that looks like to you.
I'll talk to you next week, and until then, go out, trust in yourself, pave your own way,
through life and have an absolutely fantastic day.
